#22 - Q&A:  How do you keep your joy when the world is so bad?

This is a really great question.  Probably something we have all wondered at some point.  Have you ever had a moment where you look around and all you and all you see is terrible things?  This world can be a rough place.  Sickness, disease, death, depression, poverty....the list goes on and on.  It's easy for it to wear you down.  So I loved this question and I loved how Dan answered it.

and who they're created to beand it begins to separate them
from this contrary desire.
I never tell people youshouldn't do that.

pushed you too far.

Please don't ever touch yourchildren that way cause all
you're teaching them is that youhave an end and they can
frustrate you in there.

And heaven goes with that kindof discipline and Holy spirit
goes with your words.
When you're just frustrated.
You can be a Christian, be anelder on a board and whatever.
But when you're frustrated, Ipromise you, Holy Spirit's not
going with your words,

into a higher expression ofintegrity and love it.

They're like, okay, so, so incities you get the sneakers that

used to be, I don't know if itis anymore, it used to be a sign
of gangs, sneakers, certainsneakers on certain places and
there's boundaries and theythrow him over the wires and,
and things.
And, and then there's writingsin certain symbols.
So then what what churches do isthey go, Oh my goodness, did you
see the new channel eight newslast night?
Did you see NBC or CBS?
There's gang activity in ourtown.
We need to call a prayermeeting.

So then we come together and wecall a prayer meeting and it's
always trouble based.
It's because of a problem.
And rarely do you hear somethinglike this and that prayer
meeting father, these young menare so much more than they
understand called they've beenrobbed by things in life.
And things have happened to themthat have constrained them and
pottered them and made themfather, I pray for ways to reach
out for ways that you wouldwitness even through us and God.

We pray for the redemption ofthese men's lives.
That sure beats would you getthem out of this town because
they're just going to go toanother town.
You said, well and then theyneed to pray them on.
No, you gotta, you gotta.
You gotta love your city to haveauthority to pray for it.
You don't pray for your citycause it's full of problems.

You pray for your city causeit's full of destiny.
There's a difference.
One has faith and one is ruledby the facts in the flesh.

I've seen people that are intercessors get caught up
in it and they get caught up inthe heart of sin and the pain
and in time inner seeding, theirhearts actually shift in.
They actually get angry, selfrighteous and judgemental and
don't even see it happeninguntil you bring it up.
I've watched it in intercessorsand they're sure they're doing
the work of the Lord and they'resaying the pastoral cutoff

worship just a little bit early.
They think because they've beenpraying for this service all
week and now the pastor steps upand shuts down and they go, Holy
spirit was just about to mythand then they sit in their
living room all day and cry allday and say, Holy spirit
screaming.
No, you are being deceived.

He did not cry all day and allafternoon because pastor cut off
the worst political early stop.
He's way bigger than that.
That's you with failedexpectations.
Just stop.
I've had to pastor this thing somuch over the years and I will,
I'll tell him that Holy spirit,that is not Holy spirit grieving
in you for seven hours becausethere's no answer.

There's no redemption, there'sjust sadness and Whoa, bad
pastor.
So all of a sudden the pastor,after awhile I was controlling.
He's religious, he doesn'tfollow the spirit.
And that's why you're in achurch down the road and six
months later that pastor hasissues and now you're in a
church on the other side of townand next thing you know we're,
all these churches are full ofcontrol.

No, you might need to sit downand get a grip because even if
they got their little issues,why are you being decided by
what they're not?
Are you hearing me?
Come on, I've been around allthis stuff.
Intercessors run a real risk ofthat stuff because they get to
believing and I have ledintercession for for years, I

had a thing of intersession comeon me for a period I won't get
into.
So I understand a little bitabout that vein.
So I had a voice in it in mychurch because people saw that I
was a man of prayer.
But intercession is run a tightline where they start believing
nothing happened.
