Speaker 2 (00:12):
See, see the gospel
turns most of the ways we think
one 80, like a lot of Christiansusing their face to get green
lights, they call that favor.
He's like, let the light be red.
Most Christians are using theirfaith for nobody in the line at
the grocery store.
He said, get in the biggest one,see how, see how the gospel
(00:34):
changes things.
It's pretty true.
So, wow.
Hey, that first session you guyswere here, right?
When Todd was Sharon, I waspretty happy about that.
I was like, that was reallysolid.
I felt like we could have justall went home and just walked in
love for the rest of our livesand stayed free.
(00:54):
Just figured we'd could havebeen done.
So we had this phrase for yearswhere we were free to whoever
would go first.
The other one would always say, dude, you said everything there
is to say, what am I I used tosay to Todd, cause he'd always
go over time and I'd say, youjust taught everything Jesus
ever told you, but that's how itfelt this morning was that solid
(01:16):
or what?
See, you know, when you'rehearing the gospel, when your
heart's encouraging, it'sbringing life.
Grace is an empowerment.
Grace, isn't an excuse slip.
Grace is God's working abilityon your behalf.
You're saved by grace throughfaith.
When you put faith in the truthand you trust what he said
(01:38):
through what he did, grace comesto make that truth.
Your reality, without you bitingyour lip to change.
That's how grace works.
That's you being with him andyour heart starts to see, and
you begin to get these knowingsin your life where you just know
Paul writes about it.
John writes about it.
You can look up into scripture, many places and you, you see a
(02:01):
knowing and coming to know andwe've come to know and believe
it's all through your Bible.
So it's just a real big deal.
Uh, the strength of thismorning, and I feel it in my
heart.
I'm just going to kind of campthere a little bit.
I'm just glad you guys are hereand you guys seem excited like,
yeah, you really do.
It's fun.
Like I know Todd experiences iseverywhere.
He goes I'm I I'm a little morestealthy.
(02:23):
I'm kinda, I don't advertise myschedule.
I go into some smaller churches.
If I advertise, we'd probablyrun into trouble.
I wouldn't be able to do what Ifeel called to do, but
everybody's always excited.
And I'm thinking this messagewe're preaching it.
It calls for change.
Like it's, it's telling us whowe are so we can live in what he
paid for.
So it's not like a bless youfill your vets and barn kind of
(02:46):
message.
It's like, get your hearttransformed and live in the
spirit and walk like Jesuswalked.
Amen.
And yet people, yeah.
People are like, yeah, like, like you just, yeah.
And I'm like, this is awesome.
So it just excites me.
Cause that's kinda all we knowto preach.
Cause he changed when he changesyour life, then you just share
(03:07):
that message.
Like, like I've never read myBible to preach a sermon, but I
never feel unprepared.
Like I've never read my Bible topreach.
I've always read my Bible toknow him.
And when you get to know him, then you live your life in him
and then you have a lot to talkabout.
So it's never just theological.
It's actually really real.
(03:29):
And it has a grace and ananointing to impart into hearts.
And if you preach what you see,it causes other eyes to go and
see.
So I'm excited about it.
So I'm just going to preachsomething I've been living
really for 23 years, you hearTodd saying, you know about no
guilt, condemnation, shame.
Some people have a hard timerelating to that because they
(03:50):
almost go through that all thetime.
And it's never a place forguilt, condemnation and shame in
a born again, believers life.
So even if you, even if you, even if you slip up, we're not
talking about even perfectionhere and we're not making an
excuse to just slip and fall.
What we're saying is even if youdo slip and fall into something,
(04:10):
the fact that you care now, Idon't think we make enough for
this.
We, a lot of people just thinkyou should be broken and crying
for two days to show you'reserious.
It never produces anything.
Good.
You camp there long enough.
It'll it'll mess you up.
The fact that you care aboutwhat you used to not care about
means you've changed on theinside.
(04:32):
Like you couldn't even beguilty, condemned or ashamed if
you weren't alive inside, likethose things they're perverse.
There are perverse way ofresponding, but they wouldn't
have nowhere to land.
If you weren't pure on theinside, like if you didn't care,
you wouldn't care.
This isn't complicated.
Like you couldn't be condemnedif you didn't care, but
(04:57):
condemnation's never the answer.
So you've got to get ahold oftruth and keep going after him.
And truth makes you free.
So I just want to encourage youthat guilt, condemnation and
shame are lies from the devil.
There are three major tools ofhell and they're never the
kingdom of God, never thekingdom of God, God doesn't use
them ever at any level.
(05:18):
They're all anti finished worksof the cross and they never
produce life.
You with me, I feel, I feel moststern in that only if I'm
smiling, but I can't say it'sserious enough.
They're anti finished works ofthe cross.
Go condemnation, shame.
And I've pastored for a while.
I've been a Christian for alittle bit, then around a lot of
(05:40):
folks.
For a lot of times, there arethree major things that seem to
be in people's lives on aregular basis.
And it doesn't ever have to be.
You're never Adam hiding fromGod.
Again,
Speaker 3 (05:59):
He took off the
things that are made to try to
cover his mouth.
You can't cover yourself.
He closed you in righteousness.
You got to understand that younever do what Adam and Eve did
in first, John two, it saysbrother and I write these
(06:20):
things.
So you do not sin.
It doesn't say, but when you doit says, if you do, we ought to
notice these words.
Cause most of us are expectingto it.
Doesn't say when you do, itsays, if you do, that's pretty
awesome.
And he's not preachingperfection there.
What, what you want to do is youwant to let grace take you where
it's possible to go.
(06:42):
And if you believe things aboutyourself based on yourself, you
might miss the grace thatchanges you like a few way.
Human experience above theworking power of God.
You might stay the same and justhave a confession.
We have so lorded where we'veall been.
(07:02):
We don't do it on purpose.
It's just, we believe what we'velived as who we are.
And he's saying none of that isas anything to do with who you
are.
That's why he calls it all dead.
That's why you have to die.
If you're ever going to live inChrist, you have to die.
(07:23):
So it takes away everythingyou've been.
Why are we studying our humanexperience and past practice so
heavily.
Why are we following our ownhuman experience when we're
called to follow him?
Why do we say stuff like, well, yeah, but you know how we, we
yell, but nobody's gonna, butyeah, we're always, and we've
kind of created a languagethrough the way it's been in our
(07:44):
life's experience.
And Jesus through the cross issaying, what are you talking
about?
Like that's supposed to beeverything dead.
It should die in your languagetoo.
Like if you wake up and expectto fail, no wonder you fail
because you think you're afailure.
If you wake up and expect tosin, you think it's Holy to and
humble to wake up and say, okay, look, we're all sinners.
(08:06):
Thank God he considers us.
I'll just do the best I cantoday that doesn't bring glory
to God.
That's why people are messing upall the time.
What they think they are is whatthey produce.
If you wake up and believeyou're a son, your life will
start looking like son ship.
If you actually wake up andbelieve you're right in the
(08:26):
sight of God, guilt andcondemnation, shame, don't have
a landing strip on your soul.
It can never come in.
Like if you understand you'reclean and you're Holy and you're
blameless in your abovereproach.
Not because we're arrogant andwe're speaking vanity.
Cause we read our Bibles,
Speaker 4 (08:44):
We read our Bibles
Speaker 3 (08:46):
And he said, this is
where I've placed you through my
finished work.
If, if we would ever just getthis, that, if he says I you
Speaker 5 (08:56):
Through the blood,
then be forgiven period.
Like period.
If he says you're right in myside, I love you.
Be love.
Be right in his sight period.
There is no yell, but there'sno.
Well I feel, but you don't knowwhere I've been, but you don't
know.
My background is your rawrelevant.
(09:18):
He knows everything.
And he came and he washed it allaway.
And I love the fact that youguys are so excited about this.
You can talk so freely.
I would talk this freely.
If you weren't excited, I justwould, people need this truth.
It's his truth that makes free.
And even if people say to me,like they said, do you ever get
an hemispheres?
(09:39):
Whether you feel resistancestuff.
I said, I don't even payattention to that stuff.
Resistance.
What's resistance.
If Jesus paid attention toresistance, come on.
He he's amazing then.
And he just lived that life thathe preached and he modeled it
for us and he invited us in tofollow him.
(10:00):
And now he sits at the righthand.
He's serious.
Like he sits at the right handof God, mediating on our behalf
through the blood of Jesus.
That's on the mercy seat.
Like that's exciting.
I want to look at that more thanmy ability to fail.
I want grace to save me.
(10:21):
I want grace to change me.
Not enable me to stay the same.
Change me.
It's it's not, it's not.
Grace is not grace.
Boy.
I really blew up on my spousetoday.
Thank God for his grace.
Now his grace keeps you fromblowing up his grace.
Isn't there to excuse you.
When you mess up, it's there toempower you.
(10:42):
When you see truth, are you withme?
Come on guys.
We can live this life where hewouldn't call us to it.
I found this in second Peterone, it's there and you know,
what's cool.
If I turn there, it's stillthere.
You better get childlike withme.
You better get simple or life'sgoing to start speaking a little
(11:05):
louder than truth in your soul.
And all of a sudden you'llbelieve you're not free.
All of a sudden you'll letsomething matter more over what
matters most, all of a suddenyou won't be seeking first.
The kingdom you'll be seekingyour own wellbeing, your own
feelings, your own.
Yeah.
Be careful with that stuff.
And then I found this in second,Peter, it says you have
(11:27):
exceedingly you all.
I, everybody, we haveexceedingly great and precious
promises by which meaningthrough these promises, we
partake of his divine nature.
What's he saying, I have a shortthrough my word that you'll
receive everything necessary tobe transformed, to become one
(11:49):
with me, divine nature, whereI'm not just going give you a
theology of positional, right?
Standing.
I'm going to put who I am on theinside of you through the person
of Holy spirit, exceedinglygreat and precious promises by
which you partake of his divinenature.
Watch having escaped member outof darkness into light.
(12:14):
Remember acts delivered from thepower of Satan to the power of
God, right by which, uh, youpartake of his divine nature.
Having escaped the corruptionthat's in the world through
lust, the word lust.
There has nothing to do withpornography.
(12:35):
It has to do with self centereddesire.
So self centered desire and hisdivine nature are totally
contrast it.
You can't be a Christian foryour sake, messed up, never
work, no wonder people aremiserable going to church.
(12:56):
If they're a Christian for theirsake, discouraged people show up
for services all the time.
And it's a dead giveaway thatlife is deciding who they are.
Not the life in them.
It doesn't mean they're evil.
It doesn't mean they'rehypocrites.
It doesn't even mean they'remean or matter or bad.
I'm not saying a bad thing.
I'm saying we're destroyed forthe lack of knowledge and in all
(13:19):
your getting get understanding.
I don't believe this impossible.
I don't believe it's too big ofa test for God.
I believe there could be such apouring out of truth on the
earth that people could show upSundays to gather together and
really be excited to celebratehim together and stir each other
and love and good works andbreak like a football huddle and
just go back out from where theycame and look a little more like
him.
And when they got there,
Speaker 4 (13:42):
[inaudible]
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Walking in with a sad
face because you didn't get the
rent paid or walking in with asad face because of Solomon and
give drawing attention toyourself for your countenance.
And all of a sudden you'rereduced to the highest grace
you're receiving is that itseems like somebody cares.
(14:02):
That's just this way, man.
Get out of that rat race.
Somebody cares.
Yeah, you don't, you don't everhave to do that.
The rent might not be paid, butyou still woke up with the same
purpose.
Christ is still in you.
He's still the hope of glory.
Is this thing contingent oneverything you're hoping to
happen or is he just Lord comehell or high water?
(14:26):
Do you shine?
Do you walk like key walk?
Do you follow him or do you justtry out to him Kumar guys?
Just, just if the gospel coulddo this little in your motives.
Oh my goodness.
Wouldn't it be amazing if peopledidn't know how to be
discouraged and we actuallybelieved it was possible.
(14:46):
She, a lot of teachers won'ttell you this publicity, that's
over preaching.
You're in denial, an extreme.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Everybody's gonna
have their moments, brother that
thing's out of bounds.
We're all this way.
No, we've studied a fallen man.
We've bought in and said, thisis us.
He told us to be born again, brand new creatures, put off the
old, put on the new, come on.
If he can change my mind, myeyes through changing my heart.
(15:14):
He's surely changed my wholelife.
Wouldn't it be amazing to gathertogether with no discouragement
in the room.
And if somebody did show up thatway, we'd sniff it out and
encourage him and get that rootout.
That lie.
What?
Todd not Todd kept referring toour talk this morning.
We were just talking aboutpeople being ministered crazy.
(15:35):
They always think prayer is theanswer.
Prayer is very important.
Make no mistake about it.
But when you look at prayer on apersonal level, it's usually
prayers of committal, givingyourself intimacy, communion,
communion, prayers ofsupplication and prayers for all
the saints and for leaders inauthority, the primary prayer we
pray is needs driven.
It's everything.
I need everything.
I want everything I fear.
(15:59):
So we're feeling a certain way.
And we say, I think I needprayer.
Hey, can you pray?
Can you just pray this thing offof me?
It's not a thing.
Praying a thing off of you.
It's getting something out ofyour belief system.
Stop and relating to the momentin the experience into the
feeling too.
Cause if you just live out ofyour feelings, you're just a
feeling away from another day.
(16:20):
So then we get reduced tobelieve in.
If I don't feel different, I'mnot free.
So we keep going after the samekind of ministry.
That's what Todd was trying toexplain this morning.
And all of a sudden we're doingthe person in justice.
We just need to tell people whothey really are.
You don't need prayer.
Most of the time in thosesituations, like we think people
you wake up in the morning, okay, watch you wake up in the
(16:42):
morning.
It happens to people.
I've, I've gotten these phonecalls over the years and I'm not
making fun of anybody.
I want to expose something.
So you just never find yourselfhere.
That alarm clocks bleeping, youwere restless.
It wasn't seeking Jesus.
Like Todd woke up seven times.
Some of us wrote a little, allof a sudden it was two 30 and
you had to pee and you werelike, Oh, now I'm up.
And you laid there for 40minutes trying to fight it off
(17:03):
and ignore it.
And now at 23 you finally getout of bed and you went to the
bathroom and you got back andyou looked at the clock and
thought, Ooh, got a little moretime before that alarm.
And then at six o'clock
Speaker 6 (17:15):
Man, man, man, man,
Speaker 2 (17:17):
I really don't like
that scene.
I just like to be woken up bythe Lord.
But some people choose thatroad.
Speaker 6 (17:24):
[inaudible]
Speaker 2 (17:25):
I get it home.
And then you torture yourselfand you hit snooze.
You torture yourself, you justfeed your flesh.
You just fuel your flesh fornine minutes.
You get yourself to actuallybelieve this is a good thing.
Wait, nine minutes, nine minutesgoes by me, me, me, me.
And if you're really fleshy, you'll just hit it one more
(17:47):
time.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
And then you finally,
finally, finally muster up the
ability to get out of bed andyou're just heading to the
bathroom.
And all of a sudden you say, Ohman, Oh man, I feel like, Oh
man, I felt, Oh, I know thisfeeling.
I felt this way two weeks ago,it was the worst day of my life.
I barely made it.
And he said, I need prayer.
(18:14):
It's amazing how we're getting.
I need prayer.
I need prayer.
I need prayer.
I need prayer.
You probably don't.
You probably need communion inrelationship with Holy spirit.
He's he's standing there waitingto be with you and you're
(18:36):
calling your friend to get him.
And he's like you're and he'sright here.
(18:57):
What, what, what is, what is I'mnot being mean?
I'm not being sarcastic.
Don't leave.
Watch, but not be me.
When I said this way.
It's just the way I hear it.
What is so difficult aboutbelieving he's there and
teaching your heart?
That that's true.
What's so difficult about justnot calling anybody in that
moment.
(19:17):
Cause that's all feeling driven,man.
If you're going to be feelingdriven, I promise you feelings
are never going to be good inyour life.
I'm full of feelings, butthey're actually amazing.
They don't hinder me.
They're not at the cost ofanybody.
I'm passionate.
I'm a raging.
The half the time I have to tonedown to communicate.
I'm stealing all kinds of stuff, but it has nothing to do with
(19:39):
lies, the limitation and painand hurt and sorrow and despair.
You okay?
There's a salvation to all thesethings.
There's a saving of your soul ofyour mind and your emotions to
(19:59):
where you're living out of thetrue God, given motive in your
life.
And then everything that followsis in agreement to the
wellspring inside called modus.
If your motive is self centered, you're very feeling oriented.
It's all about me.
All about how I feel.
Hold on.
What needs to change for me tobe okay?
What about, who has to say whatnot to say what for me to be
(20:21):
okay.
But man, if you learn to Matthew16 and deny yourself in Matthew
six 33, seek ye first, thekingdom of God, everything about
promotions begins to changebecause the motive in your life
and the wellspring in your lifeis different.
Now you're not waking up foryou.
You're waking up for his greatname.
(20:42):
You're waking up to bring gloryto the one that we say we love.
You're waking up to shine.
You're
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Waking up to live in
the spirit and walk in the
spirit to commune with him andknow him and let people know him
because you do Bad.
Motive would change how yourespond on that morning.
If you're seeking first, thekingdom of God, all of a sudden,
Holy spirit, I appreciate you inmy life, man, probably shouldn't
(21:09):
have drank so much right beforebed, huh?
Felt like I had to get up thereand I fought it off and you know
the story, I didn't even sleepthat much.
And then it don't mean a thing.
This thing's trying to tell memy day and blah, blah, blah,
blah, blah, two weeks ago, youare in the, and you're amazing.
And God, I thank you.
You're the lover of my soul.
You the strength of my body.
You're my all in all.
And I appreciate it today.
(21:30):
I ain't got nothing to prove toyou.
I have the joy of becoming andyou're in my life, empowering
me.
And now you're heading to thebathroom.
You're freshening up.
You're in the shower.
And next thing you know, youdon't even remember what it was
like when you got out of bed andyou didn't call anybody for
prayer.
You just know him a little morethan you did about 10
Speaker 4 (21:56):
[inaudible].
Speaker 2 (21:57):
There's a problem
when we just keep reaching out
this way and don't establishthis because you become so
dependent on this.
And then if you're callingbrother, so and so or sister.
So and so if they're not sharp, they become the prayer warrior
in the church.
They, the one that prays youthrough, they're the one that
reads your mail.
And if they're not reallywalking in total fellowship, now
their identity is based on whatthey're doing and everybody's
(22:18):
leaning on them and they'reuseful and need full.
I'm not saying it has to bemessed up, but it can get messed
up quick.
People do it to me a lot.
They don't do it much anymore.
Cause I talk about it and peopleput everything on YouTube.
So it's good.
Cause people used to everywhere.
I'd go to preach.
People would just swore me, Hey,can you pray for me?
(22:39):
He lay hands on me.
Can you just, I don't know, justpray this thing off of me.
Just pray.
I got fear.
I got this.
I got that.
I get this.
I don't pray for a lot of that.
I'll say, well, do you reallybelieve it's prayer?
Let me ask you, what does thathave anything to do with what
you really believe?
What about this?
And then I'll share a couple oftrues based on what they're
telling me and they go, huh?
I think, I think we just gotthis idea.
(22:59):
You know, Oh man, if they'rewalking with God, if they're
walking with God, if she'swalking with God, he just
touched me.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
[inaudible]
Speaker 2 (23:14):
But if your belief
system doesn't change, you'll be
in the line.
The next time a speaker rollsinto town.
Why?
Because life will keep speakinglouder than truth.
And how you feel will sneak upon you.
If you don't change what yousee, you'll never change what
you be.
You isn't.
The eye is the lamp of the body.
If the eye is single to seethrough truth, to see through
(23:37):
him, the eyes single, Hey lookgood is single.
It's not wide view.
Multiple choice yell, but well, you know, no, no, no.
It's single.
Single-wide just looks throughtruth.
It looks through him.
(23:59):
This stuff is so amazing.
Like we've got to learn what itmeans.
I'm gonna talk about it for alittle bit.
And we'll just talk about likethese sessions when you, it
wasn't the testimonies fun.
Now look, there's always zero topower in love.
And originally we're on a lotof, you've been to a power hub
before, so it's not like don'tever put on a false sense of
something, man.
(24:19):
Let it be your life.
Let it be who you are.
Don't just let the momentthey'll don't just put on a, you
know, an outreach jacket.
Now you got two people zealouswith you.
So we're going to win the city.
You can put on a false sense ofboldness false sense of
ministry, identity, a falsesense of a lot of things.
(24:42):
When things are seemingly in themoment and they're they're
intentional ministry, this is asimple stepping stone into how
it can be in your life.
And Todd clearly explained thatthis morning that you just
pumped gas, we just use thelunchtime and dinnertime as a
stepping stone into the thingsthat are stirring.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
But never, this is
not a ministry thing.
It's just, you're you're livingin Jesus.
So you love people.
You recognize things and stuffand you're aware and you're
alert and you just live thisway.
Yeah.
So you're never looking forministry.
You're just living your life inJesus.
Yeah.
And sometimes he highlightspeople and sometimes you just
(25:27):
know they already matter.
Anyway,
Speaker 4 (25:31):
You say, well, I
didn't really feel led
Speaker 2 (25:34):
What it, this, have
you ever heard that?
Well, I wasn't feeling thatbrother.
Well, the Bible already told youto go and as you go and Tom
where's Tom Rutolo, he didn'tmean the bathroom.
Remember how he said that as yougo, that was quick.
That was funny.
The girl was talking about inthe bathroom and he said, well,
as you go,
Speaker 4 (25:54):
No, as you go,
Speaker 2 (26:00):
We're just us guys
are amazed by you women.
How free you are.
We're we need freedom that youhave in the bathroom.
We don't have that free man.
We don't have that freedom inthe bathroom.
Do we like that?
Like, let's go to the bathroomtogether.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
[inaudible]
Speaker 2 (26:17):
Like they got popery
in there.
It's like a living room in thebathroom.
I, I had to go in and turn thelight out at church in the
ladies' bathroom.
I walked in, I thought I walkedinto somebody.
Who's like one room apartment.
I was like, Oh.
And I went, I was like, youshould see me.
I'm not joking.
I was like,
Speaker 4 (26:34):
Wow,
Speaker 2 (26:38):
That decor.
And popery the little chair anda cushiony.
And I'm like,
Speaker 5 (26:44):
They hang out in
here.
Like they talk to the feet.
Like you don't do that in amen's room.
You get in, you get out and youlook at the wall.
It's what you do.
Am I telling the truth?
(27:05):
If you're a guy and you walk ina bathroom and you just look
like this, this way, everybodygoes up and they push in closer
and there's key, right?
The hallway up and down, nobodycan go there.
Like I think he's looking, dude, you want to mess people up?
You just go in there and say,Hey guys, how's it going?
(27:28):
So I went into a bathroom onetime and they were all lined up
and there was the little kidsone I said, now wouldn't this
just be like Jesus, to give methe little child.
He said, unless you become likelittle they're like he's
talking.
And it's so funny.
(27:48):
You got a urinal.
Some of them have little walls.
The ones that don't have walls,it's serious.
And I am not telling the truth.
You could be walking with yourbuddy into the men's room,
talking as soon as you hit thedoor, the conversation stops.
Am I telling the truth?
Silent?
You get in.
You freeze.
You stare at your block, a dopepeak.
(28:11):
And you get out of there.
As soon as you get outside, youtalk.
I mean, we won't even go likethis for the stalls.
You know, you're walking, you'relooking in cracks to see if you
see a jacket or a foot or you'relike, am I telling the truth?
(28:31):
You ladies, I heard this.
I heard that in the ladies room, the children are crawling.
The stores go up the wrong setof legs.
Your mommy's over there.
It's amazing.
We need your freedom ladies.
(28:51):
One of these days, dude, we'regoing to be Todd.
I'm going to say, Hey buddy, let's go to the bathroom.
We're going to try it.
I'm going to build up to it.
This conference is going to giveme free.
Okay.
(29:18):
That's why we come, man.
Just for freedom.
It's for freedom.
That Christ made us free is forfreedom.
Not debate is for freedom, notanger, frustration, and argument
is for freedom.
So if your life and you knowyour life, if you would say your
life, isn't free, then youprobably don't need prayer.
You probably need more truth.
Cause freedom is truth.
(29:39):
And the absence of freedom isthe absence truth.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
The truth will make
you free.
It doesn't say ministry willmake you free.
Why do we always think we needmore ministry?
It's an absence of truth.
If there's an absence offreedom.
So what I'm not seeing is takenadvantage of my life.
So in all you're getting, getunderstanding.
Yeah, come on.
It's just simple.
Okay.
So here's the deal.
(30:04):
This is what I want to reallytalk about.
Todd was reading.
Where were you reading thismorning?
Romans three.
No, but you started in Romansthree.
Let's go there man.
Romans three.
Let's see what he was reading.
I'm going to check in on Todd.
Make sure he was reading thegospel.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
It's a good chapter.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
It's really good.
No wonder you were in there.
See, I color my Bible.
So all this red is redemption.
What I got through the blood, what I've become because of him,
all this red, all this red, canyou see all that red?
Speaker 4 (30:49):
It's beautiful.
Blood red.
I'm just going to start whereit's red.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
It says in verse 21
of Romans three, but now the
righteousness of God, apart fromthe law, apart from you earning,
working for anything, see yourwhole life.
You were, you were really onlyacknowledged when you did
something wrong.
Most of the time, even when youdid right, you were expected to.
So nothing was said.
So you were definitely broughtout in this thing when you did
(31:24):
wrong.
A lot of people weren't evenaffirmed in their doing right?
Cause it was expected.
We don't understand how subtlethis stuff is.
And when you did somethingwrong, you got hit for it.
And it got exposed and you gotyelled for bad.
It, depending on what family yougrew up in, but a lot of people
can relate to what I'm saying.
But the only time you really gotacknowledged in your doing is
when you miss something you weresupposed to or expected to do.
(31:47):
And when you did that thing, nothing was said, cause it was
expected.
So there's a training from thetime you that you have to earn
everything that you've got atSWAT people quickly feel
inadequate, unworthy, not worthright?
Unworthy, not worth this and canhardly receive the message.
(32:11):
It sounds too good to be truebecause they know their life,
but he knows your creativevalue, purpose and destiny.
And he knows why he paid a highprice.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
She, he wants to pull
you out of that place and put
his life in you and give yousomething brand new.
So what Todd was saying thismorning, I just applaud it over
and over.
I was like, that was so solid.
Like you can't add anything toit.
It was that solid.
So, so I just want to expound onthis word righteousness.
Cause you mentioned it.
(32:44):
So I'll just take my session andteach out what that actually
means.
Because see, you have to startwhere Jesus finished or you'll
never run.
Well, I'm going to say thatagain.
If you don't start, if yourstarting point, isn't where he
finished, then you're not onthat right.
(33:08):
Just road.
You're going to, you're going totry to earn something he already
did.
You're going to try to measureup to something.
He already measured you in.
You're going to try to work hardto prove something that he
already said through his cross.
Like he already said, watch thisbefore you did one thing in the
(33:29):
Lord at all, through his bloodand through his resurrection,
you already said your life isworthy of this.
It has nothing to do with whatyou did.
It has to do with what you'recreated for.
He knows our created value.
He knows what he purchased.
He didn't just buy it.
See one of the biggest stumblingblocks honestly.
And we made it the most awesomemessage is that it's all about
(33:53):
going to heaven.
It's actually become one of thebiggest stumbling blocks that
isn't the priority of the crossis to put new life inside of
you.
It's to transform you to causeold things to die and put new
things in you.
We've made the whole goal of thecross to take me to heaven
instead of having coming into meand living the life he intended
from the beginning.
So we're really distractedbecause we actually think we
(34:15):
pray this prayer to go toheaven, but I'm the way I am.
And probably always going to bethat way and hopefully I'll
shape up or brush up.
It's disastrous.
It's such a lie on the night Igot saved.
It had nothing to do with goingto heaven.
I wasn't shunning hell andgaining heaven.
I was dying to the lie.
(34:36):
I was living daily so I can liveevery day for the rest of my
life in a truth.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
And of course I'm
going to live forever.
That's a benefit on one with theeternal one.
He's never going to leave me forsake.
Mere change his mind about meand he ain't never going to die.
So I'm going to live with himforever.
That's a good deal.
But that's, if that's all yourmotivation is life's going to
catch up with you.
People are going to hurt you andbreak your heart and then you'll
sell cheap when you're not forsale.
(35:05):
And you'll say, well, what doyou expect if you went through
that brother where you don'tknow how that was, you don't
know what I've been through.
We don't know what they did tome.
We don't what it was like.
If you'd ever hear Jesus sayingthat you might have an excuse,
but you ain't never heard Jesustalk like that.
You ain't never saw Jesus inmopey mood, like mopey mode,
(35:29):
just sitting on the Mount ofolives.
Speaker 4 (35:33):
[inaudible]
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Rubbing his fingers
through his beer.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
How do you know he
had a beard?
Cause I have one we're we'reone.
I'm just kidding.
Oh, somebody's going to crucifyme for that.
Okay.
You know, there's people justwaiting for you to say something
they don't agree with.
There are people that do notknow the Lord.
Do you understand that?
(35:58):
Jesus talked to people for yearsand he's the truth.
And they killed him for what hesaid.
That's scary.
There was never anybody moreright than Jesus.
And they were so sure he waswrong.
They killed him.
Why is it any different today?
(36:22):
Scary.
Could you picture Jesus sittingon the Mount of olives and he's
just bombed and Peter comeswalking up.
What is it, Lord.
Hey, are you okay?
I don't know Peter, but Lord,I've never quite seen you.
(36:47):
Well, I've been thinking, youknow, Peter, I'm just going to
share my heart with you, man.
I'm doing always just saying I'mgoing to come good.
I'm good.
I'm good.
You know, I feel like I'msupposed to be, cause I'm
supposed to be the example, butthe truth is man, these people,
I mean the more good I do theworst, they treat me the more
(37:08):
truth I share.
The more they call it lies.
I mean I raised Lazarus and nowthey want to kill me there.
Just so twisted.
I don't, they don't appreciateme.
I feel so unloved.
I mean, I don't even know if Iwant to go face them today.
They're going to come in, throngme again.
And they're going to listen andthen God, I don't even know why
he does this Lord.
I don't know why you let me heartheir thoughts.
Their on a cool, like, I mean, Idon't even really appreciate the
(37:31):
gifting at this point because Ican hardly handle all these
things they're thinking, but youwant to be in my shoes, Peter
and see how I feel.
You're doing good.
And they call it bad.
You're doing right now.
They call it wrong.
After a while a guy can onlytake so much.
So Peter, I think the best thingyou can do is just put your hand
on my head and pray, man, justpray.
(37:55):
And then John comes walking up.
John premiere.
No, don't share a word.
You're not laying on me today.
I am laying on you please.
John, just hold me, John.
Just hold me.
Don't say anything.
Just holding.
That'd be so weird so thatchapter's not in your Bible.
(38:19):
Yay.
And he said we're to follow him.
Not that.
So watch this.
He never taught us that.
So where did we learn it?
Speaker 2 (38:36):
He never taught us
this, this example that we're
all laughing at because we canrelate to the way we'd all be
feeling if we were in his shoesin that day.
But he never taught us that.
And he's the good teacher.
And he said, let no one onearth.
Be your teacher.
You have one teacher.
He's the Christ.
So if he never taught us thatword, we learn everything we
(38:56):
say, we know, sounds like weought to put off the old and put
on the new sounds like wield adie to everything that ever was.
So we can live to the truth ofwho he is.
Sounds like our lives we'recalled to be transformed.
Sounds like it's more than aconfession in a position.
We take seated in heavenlyplaces with Christ, Jesus, woo.
(39:23):
Maybe it's living every day inhim and living by the spirit.
Maybe it's not a confession ofposition.
Maybe it's where you're at inthe surf.
Maybe you're in the world, butyou're not of that world.
Maybe every day you will wake upby the mercies of God.
You present yourselves, a livingsacrifice acceptable unto him.
It's your reasonable service ofworship.
(39:47):
And you are not conformed tothis world, but transformed
because you think like you neverthought before.
Yeah, I bet that's Christianity.
Speaker 4 (40:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
So second Peter one
says you have great precious
promises by which you partake ofhis divine nature.
Having escaped the corruptionthat's in the world through lust
.
So what Jesus wants to dothrough the cross is put his
life inside of you and hisspirit inside of you.
His ways inside of you, hismotives inside of you, his heart
inside of you.
He doesn't want you to just prayfor the sick.
(40:24):
He wants you to take on hisheart and nature.
We say your will be done onearth as it is in heaven, right?
How can we be done it?
So we say no cancer in heaven,no cancer on earth.
And we get revved up to prayagainst cancer because we have a
dead giveaway that this ain't inheaven.
It shouldn't be on earth andfaith rises.
And it's true.
You go ahead and do that, right?
(40:45):
But why is it always have to dowith the power of God?
Why isn't it always about theheart of God?
There's no animosity in heaven.
There's no jealousy.
There's no hurt and brokenness.
There's no regret.
There's no despair in heaven.
See, we've let life teach us whowe are.
And he said, no, I'm going toshow you who you are now follow
(41:08):
me.
So you can only find youridentity through him.
Anything else was going to bealive.
So you short, you can only findthe truth about you through the
truth.
And he has a name.
Yeah, come on.
We were taught a language.
We were taught emotions.
You, you didn't, you God did notgive us the emotions we grew up
(41:29):
with that stopped putting thaton him.
Well, God gave us emotions.
No he didn't.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
Adam gave you those
emotions.
They got all twisted up throughseparation from God and Adam
became self-centered.
He was love a minute ago.
Now he's cut off from loving, inneed of love and he's self
centered and he can't even takeresponsibility.
He's blaming God.
He's blaming the woman.
(42:01):
It's the first effect of sin.
Adam, did you eat the tree?
I forbid Judy was the woman yougave me.
He couldn't say yes, but what hedid say is if you, when the gave
me the woman, I probablywouldn't ate the tree.
You guys deal with it, but don'tlook at me.
Self defense, self protectingself justification.
(42:22):
Me, me, me, South, South, South, come on.
You can't be a Christian foryou.
You can't be a Christian fromblessing.
You can't be a Christian forwellbeing and that's not being
taught in the church.
Actually it's being taught.
That's why you're a Christianfor him to fill all your vats
and barns.
And then the people who theywork it out for that way are
discouraged and wonder why God'sfailing them.
(42:45):
And they can't have arelationship because they have a
genie who ain't grant no wishes.
I am not a Christian for fullvats and Barnes.
I am a Christian to become theman he paid for that.
He intended from the beginningand anything less is
unacceptable because hepurchased a sin.
(43:06):
Grace will take us there.
Yeah, come on.
And if the way I'm thinking, theway I'm believing, the way I'm
responding to others, isn'tproducing life.
Then I'm not following him.
If I'm just hurting and takenback and self centered and
conscious of myself and loweststeamed and all about me, I'm
missing something.
(43:28):
Cause I'm to seek ye first, thekingdom of God.
Yeah.
That means you wake up every dayand think about how your life
can bring him glory, how yourlife can rightly represent his
name without striving, withoutpushing and shoving, just in
relationship, becoming thatthing he paid for through the
person of Holy spirit and all ofa sudden, your motives come into
(43:50):
agreement and he aligns your eyeto what he sees.
And next thing you know, you'rejust living your life in Christ.
Yeah.
Come on.
If we would focus there andSunday, even though there's good
folks trying to be good, that'sa mistake.
Enjoy being his wake up and behis wake up and already be
(44:14):
loved.
Wake up and be as favorite.
Even though I am, you can claimit if you want be as favorites.
Yeah.
Cool.
Wonder if Christians who get outof bed and stand up in the
morning and they know they gottago to work and the boss has been
acting out of control and theirhe's been unfair and irrational
(44:34):
and sometimes still tipsy fromthe night before.
And wonder if none of that wouldbother you.
And he'd see it as an honor tohave the sphere of influence and
step into the middle of all thatand just shine
Speaker 4 (44:48):
Instead of God, I
thought you loved me.
Why didn't you change my body
Speaker 5 (44:51):
Bye now.
And if I have to work with BillyYoung, without alcohol in his
breath, I don't know what I'vedone wrong to deserve this Helen
judgment.
You need to get me a new job.
Speaker 4 (44:58):
God ain't even
hearing your prayer because it
ain't prayer.
Speaker 5 (45:10):
Those words are
coming out of your mouth and
ain't even getting near thedrywall.
The ceiling, the drop.
Speaker 4 (45:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (45:23):
I put in for other
applications and I haven't got
one phone call God, what have Idone to deserve this?
You need to show me favor.
I can show you scriptures whereI found favor in your sight.
And if you'd be reallylistening,
Speaker 4 (45:34):
Forgave you, I wrote
you in the book alive.
I don't remember your sinsanymore.
I replaced your old nature withmy nature.
How about putting it on[inaudible]
Speaker 5 (45:53):
Trouble?
This is just a simple gospelsoul about change.
Anything that allows you tocomplain is alive from him.
Satan would love to keep youbelieving you have rights when
you already died to yourself, how can you deny yourself and be
driven by so many rights?
Well, I feel well, I think, well, that hurt.
Well, they shouldn't have, well, how come will you, how do you
(46:18):
deny yourself?
And all those things keepliving.
Just how you feel have anythingto do with it.
What you believe should Trump, how you feel in time.
She'd just overtake it and bringthe thing into alignment.
You get tempted to feel sorryfor yourself.
You're a little warning.
Trap.
Hell itself.
Speaker 4 (46:43):
Good.
Your picture.
Speaker 5 (46:44):
Just feeling sorry
for himself.
Speaker 4 (46:49):
What's your matter,
Lord.
Oh,
Speaker 5 (46:51):
Well I got to carry
this cross now.
I mean, I've done nothing wrong.
I mean, Barabis killed a man.
I raised the dead he's causingconspiracy.
I'm trying to make peace here.
Something's confused, but I'lldo it anyway, but it's not fair.
Speaker 4 (47:10):
Could you picture
Jesus
Speaker 5 (47:11):
On the cross in an
analytical whirlwind moment of
human reasoning?
Speaker 4 (47:16):
You're a bunch of
idiot.
Look what you've done to me.
You haven't seen by now.
You will never see nothing butgood.
And this is the best you can doto
Speaker 2 (47:30):
Open up your eyes.
You bunch of fools, we don'tunderstand his language in the
world.
We grew up in.
It makes an amazing talk show.
He's a victim and we'revillains, but nobody wins in
that scenario because the victimstayed victims and the villains
stay villains.
(47:51):
But in the gospel we get bornagain and he comes with
righteous judgment to swallow upall the wrong and give new
identity to everyone involved.
So this is what he says whenhe's on the cross, forgive them
father they're blind anddeceived and they don't know who
they are, but we know we knowfrom the beginning and if I be
lifted up, I will draw all menunto me and it would be awesome.
(48:15):
Then if he would just look outinto our eyes through that kind
of teaching, where you piece alltogether and speak to our hearts
and we could hear Jesus on thecross saying stuff like this, I
know who you are, people.
And you're worth every Stripe onmy back.
You're worth every blow to myhead.
I've known you all from thebeginning.
We've been there from thebeginning, me and the father,
and we've known you.
We know why you're here and weknow who you are and you're
(48:35):
worth this price.
Don't shy away.
Draw unto me.
Take it, take it and run.
Well, let heaven come inside ofyou.
Let my spirit come inside ofyou.
You were not made for you.
You were not made for the fleshyou were made for my kingdom.
And you were made for my gloryand you were made for my great
name.
Don't be amazed that I wouldhang here and die.
Of course I would.
It is worse than all.
(48:56):
You're worth it off.
Cause I know who you are in the,and I know who I am in you.
So rise up and belief don'tbelieve your feelings.
Don't believe the world don'tbelieve your former page.
Believe me says the Lord one.
That be cool.
Speaker 4 (49:14):
[inaudible]
Speaker 2 (49:15):
That's what the
gospel says.
Speaker 4 (49:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
See the gospel.
Isn't something to argue over.
It's a life to become.
And if you don't catch that, you'll get caught up in the
arguments.
It's not about sitting overcoffee and debating your belief
system.
It's about walking in lovetowards the people all around
you.
Come on, be real with me.
We've walked into settings.
Wondering if anybody noticed, wonder if anybody greet us?
(49:41):
When I know people left churchesthat I ain't going back here, it
wasn't too loving.
And I say, it should have been.
You were there.
You missed your calling.
We're always waiting for whatsomebody can do for us instead
of how he can make us more likehim.
You Whitney, come on, we canlive this thing, man.
(50:01):
I know this.
I didn't live the past life thatTodd lived, but I lived in
myself in such a terrible way.
I personally believe I was asselfish as any man that ever
walked the earth.
It's okay for me to have thatbelief.
It's not condemnation.
It's sobering.
I saw the wretchedness ofselfishness in my life and the
reason I got saved that night, Ididn't ever want to live another
day for me because I saw it wasan absolute zero.
(50:24):
And I cried.
I was, I was horrified when Isaw
Speaker 3 (50:28):
Those selfish state
of my heart.
And I realized I was living atthe expense of everyone in my
life because it was all aboutme.
I had zero capacity to love inselfishness.
I had zero capacity to besincere and genuinely care.
I said, what I needed to say Idid what I needed to do.
But the ultimate result was forme.
(50:48):
And it was the most horrificsight I ever had on June 9th of
1995.
And I just cried and cried andsaid, my life is pitiful.
It is one big empty, nothing.
I can't live another day.
That's right.
I kept saying the Lord, I haveto be the most selfish man on
the earth.
(51:08):
I kept saying that over andover.
And I believed it.
I still do.
I'm glad I believed it becauseyou know what?
He did.
He one 80 that thing.
So what I gave him, he took itand then gave me what was from
(51:30):
the beginning.
All of a sudden I realized Idied to live.
I didn't ask Jesus into myheart.
I didn't.
If I die tonight, if I hit atree, when I leave the meeting,
are you ready?
Where will you go?
(51:50):
That isn't how I got saved.
Holy spirit, let me see in myheart.
And there was no denial allowed.
And it was the most horrifyingsight of my life.
The state of my heart.
I didn't want to be that onemore day.
And I said, and he said, andthat's a big deal.
(52:12):
A really big watch.
This.
I was, I was separated from mywife for five months.
We weren't communicating.
I was already at an attorney andI was celebrating divorce.
I already had plans to move inwith a girl, eight years younger
than me and just start a freshseed, my lash and right in the
(52:36):
middle of all that Jesus came.
I was celebrating that I wasseparated.
I said to my wife, good.
I'm glad you're finally therewith me so we can move on.
What did I waste?
13 years of my life with you forarrogant, vanity twisted,
(52:59):
deception all at her expense.
Yeah.
Just think what that does to awoman talking like that.
But for those 13 years on yournights off, you wanted her to go
to bed with you.
You wanted to have a marriagerelationship you wanted to.
Yeah.
And then when it all fallsapart, that ad that ass 30
(53:23):
minutes.
After my born again, my wifecame to mind.
It took 30 minutes because I wasso overwhelmed by him.
You have no idea.
I was running around at work inthe aisle, back and forth.
I know I was pulling my hair.
I was jumping.
I was freaking out.
I was going you real, you real.
She was really real
Speaker 4 (53:46):
[inaudible]
Speaker 3 (53:47):
I was freaking out
and he left me there with him.
Nobody came in, nobody disturbedthat moment.
He just left me freak out.
I'll never forget it.
I had to work.
I said, I got to work.
Which real?
I get a case.
You're so real.
I put my case down.
It was just, I was freaking out30 minutes in you say you're
still freaking out, brother.
(54:08):
No, I calm down just enough tocommunicate.
Speaker 4 (54:13):
[inaudible]
Speaker 3 (54:14):
That's about all I've
done.
But 30 minutes in, I thought ofmy wife.
I would have told you, I hatedher before work.
I thought of my wife and I went,Oh my goodness.
She's such a peacemaker.
She's tried so hard.
She's just took this thingsilently.
Oh my goodness.
I ran her out of gas.
(54:35):
I pushed her over the edge.
She has tried so hard.
She has been so good to me.
What happened?
My eye changed when light cameinto me, when I died to self, I
couldn't see through me anymore.
All of a sudden I'm lookingthrough the spirit of God and
all of a sudden, for the firsttime in my life, I knew I loved.
(55:00):
I was like, Oh, and the more Ithought about it, the more I
wanted to hug her, the more Ithought about it, the more I
cried, the more I wanted to tellher, I'm sorry.
All of a sudden I was blind, butno, see it was amazing.
No, my wife wasn't having thiskind of encounter.
(55:21):
My wife was sitting at home witha 26 year old that used to have
Harleys pull up at her driveway.
Multiple Harleys they'd stay allweekend.
I was, I used to call her abiker chick kind of degrade or
get cynical.
It was just cause I didn't havea Harley.
I was jealous.
I was listening.
I had a heart.
I remember being degenerate likethat.
(55:42):
I remember her.
She would come out and do hergarden and her wet flowers on
purpose.
She'd wear the stringers bikini.
She couldn't, she'd put her buttto the road and she'd pull her
weeds.
And I remember looking out mygarage going, Oh my goodness.
She was my wife's counselor, teaching my wife, how to live
and have fun and make the mostof the moment.
(56:04):
So while I'm getting delivered, she's at home hurt by me because
I outweighed her revelation ofJesus.
I outweighed the love.
So she's smoking a joint.
It's the craziest story.
My wife, if you knew my wife,it's nine violence sitting there
smoking, passing a Doobie,Jackie, you know my wife, she's
(56:31):
sitting there smoking pot andthey got a little mixed drink on
the picnic table.
She's she's sitting theretalking and she says, it'd be
just like my husband to comehome when these days and say, I
found a Lord when she said thatshe told me all this later.
(56:57):
Cause she was so wound when shesaid that, while she's saying
that I'm at work gettingabsolutely undone by Jesus.
So guess what?
Guess what a little counselorsaid.
She said, well, don't you listenand don't you ever go back?
You know how men are?
They don't even realize theylost a good thing until they
(57:19):
lost a good thing.
Don't you ever reduce yourselfand go back.
You make him pay.
You make him live without younow.
And she's like, yeah, I ring thephone.
I don't even know what I'mdoing.
I'm just God, there wasn'tinsecurity it.
(57:41):
Wasn't please come back to me.
I just rang the phone.
I said, Hey, she said, what doyou want?
I said, I'm not even sure.
I'm just overwhelmed.
I said, Kim, it's amazing.
God is so real.
And she went click.
(58:06):
We were trying to live in thesame house.
So we didn't blow our little bitof finances.
So when we divorced there wasn'tnothing.
So we were sleeping in separaterooms, but we wouldn't talk.
It was horrible.
Put your children in that.
And so, because your hearts arehard, it's not even about
anymore.
Who's right and wrong.
It's just, your hearts are hard.
You've allowed each other todecide each other.
(58:30):
So you can't sell me cheapanymore.
Nobody's going to talk me out ofthis thing.
I've been saved too long.
I've seen too much as a pastor,we're letting a person decide
who we are and how we are in thetrouble is their name's not
Jesus.
So we're making people, Lordsinging.
He's Lord and proven.
He's not.
(58:50):
We're letting what we've beenthrough.
Matter more than what he's beenthrough.
We're drawing identity fromstuff instead of him.
And we're saying, well, youwould, you wouldn't be talking
like that.
If you lived in my home, brother, see you're already snared.
And in your mind, your home is ajustifiable circumstances to not
pursue his image and walk in thespirit.
(59:14):
So your tomorrow is going toalways be yesterday until you
find that to change.
You don't know what they put methrough.
Well, wonder if Jesus had thatbeef?
I wonder if the cross time cameand he said, Nope, enough is
enough.
You have no idea what they putme through.
(59:36):
See if you can't find it in hislife, don't give permission for
it in your life.
And if you didn't learn it fromhim, then you didn't learn it at
all.
Are you with me?
Speaker 4 (59:47):
Yeah,
Speaker 3 (59:49):
Because I went home
that night and she's quiet.
Timid.
She's always in a room with adoor closed.
She, we ain't talking.
And that night when I walked in,she was waiting for me in the
living room.
And that is not my wife.
My wife is timid quiet.
I don't even know where thebutton was, but she had, I think
her claws were that long.
(01:00:10):
She was like, what if I wasn'tborn again?
A couple hours ago?
I would have probably been veryscared.
I walked in and she told me howmuch of a fool I was.
Why?
Cause she's hurt.
She doesn't understand.
You're a food and Mueller, ifyou think you're going to pull
this, you're just trying to getthe family to side with you to
(01:00:31):
come out, smelling like a Rose.
And Nicky looked like the witch.
Do you see what's happening?
It's all about ourselves.
Isn't it.
It's all about how we appear toothers all about what everybody
thinks.
So all of a sudden you're a catin a corner and I'm standing
there and I'm like, I feel sosorry.
I want to tell her, but she'sgoing to call my eyes out.
If I try to say, I'm sorry, andI didn't feel like I needed to
(01:00:54):
right then I was like, now isthe time.
I'm just thinking, God, you'rereal.
Whoa.
And she's talking and I couldn'twait to go talk to the Lord in
my bedroom.
And I just said, look, Iunderstand, you know, um, you
know, sorry, the best I can say,but I just took off.
I went to the bedrooms.
I remember days being in mybedroom, just praying.
(01:01:14):
I would just come out to go towork.
I remember one day I come to thedoor, opened the door and she
was standing right outside thedoor.
Cause he was listening.
I'm not dishing them.
A wife.
I'm showing you what pain can doto a woman that she's amazing.
My wife, she, I watched herfellowship with God every day.
My wife's doing so good.
She has a heart for people.
She cries.
When somebody calls me and sayssomething, she says, what's
(01:01:37):
going on?
And I'll tell this.
She'll just start crying andshe'll just go pray.
She's just the sweetest thing.
And she's minister.
And just some ladies that sheused to work with, staying in
touch, doing visit stuff.
My wife's a very good girl, butman, back then she didn't know
what she sees.
Now.
All she saw was the wretchedhusband.
She was married to.
(01:01:57):
So she let where I wasn't decidewhere she was.
So every day she was a productof my dysfunction and now I'm
changed and she's mad becauseyou have to make up for it.
We think, well, I'll neverforget what you put me through.
If God took that initiativewhere all
Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
See you, see,
Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
We did not get this
language from the Lord.
This thing is all about becominglove and being changed.
But she was standing outside mydoor and it was, I still
remembered.
It's a great testimony.
Did she share how things canchange and how you can respond?
Because here's the deal guys.
And we'll be straight with you.
If I'm doing all this, just toget my marriage back and I'm
(01:02:40):
insecure or a male motive, whywould I expect Holy spirit to be
involved?
Some of us are so insecure.
We're like just trying to getour spouse to change their mind.
And the more insecure you get,the more you solidify, they
don't want to change them.
Other people come to me as busy.
You got to pray for me.
You're going to pray for myspouse to come home.
(01:03:01):
And I'm like, maybe that's notour priority prayer right now.
What do you mean?
They need to be with me.
We're supposed to be married.
How about if we pray, Christgets formed in you.
And how about we just startpraying that you grow up into
him and live securing Christ andget this first.
And then as God sees who he isin your life, he can in trust
(01:03:21):
who he is in you.
And he has some to bring themback to.
So he ain't just bringing themback to you.
That would be a bummer.
Just bringing them back to you.
She's standing outside the door.
She had her little arms crossed.
Now listen to the analogy, listen to analytical thinking.
(01:03:44):
You make me so angry.
You stand in there and you praylike you're some Holy man.
I don't think so.
You live like the devil for 13years and put me in those kids
through hell and now you're inthere.
Like, you know, God and unlikewhat do I say?
(01:04:07):
I guess you could say welcome.
You know, if you'd really guardyour heart and protect your
heart and not, let me decideyour life.
But you really be inrelationship with God.
You'd probably be praying andseeking to be able to see that I
am really transformed.
And I am the man of your dreamsin the spirit.
And you probably
Speaker 4 (01:04:25):
[inaudible].
Speaker 3 (01:04:26):
So you don't say a
word to her, you lived so messed
up.
You're not trying to change her.
You're being changed.
And you're gonna let your changebegin to speak into her without
you even realizing it or tryingit.
Cause my goal is in herchanging.
I want to become the Manny paidfor period.
Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
[inaudible]
Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
It's not what I can
get out of God.
It's how I can be more like Kim.
That's the goal.
So seven weeks went by, shefought me tooth and nail.
She went out of her way.
You can just stretch your mind.
She went out of her way to makeme angry, break my heart and get
me to prove to her consciencethat I was a hypocrite.
(01:05:10):
She just was looking for areaction out of me.
She could go aha.
And then relieve her conscience, which was screaming.
Cause she knew the Lord.
I didn't.
When I met her, she was sixmonths safe looking for change
in her life.
Sadly enough.
At that time she met me wrongperson at the time shouldn't
(01:05:33):
even blend together.
Really?
Honestly, if we get right downto it, God's just merciful and
he makes things work togetherfor the good, but we had no
business being together.
I told her I was a Christian.
The whole nine months we wereengaged while he had to do was
take one.
Look at me for one day and knowI wasn't a Christian.
I tried to sleep with herconstantly.
I violated her conscience, madeher cry over and over and over
(01:05:57):
and just kept telling her I loveher.
Yeah, but now I do love her andshe can't see it because she's
(01:06:17):
hurt and pain manipulates youand unforgiveness manipulate
you.
You're not made to carry thatstuff.
It's not normal to heaven.
Unforgiveness will mold you andshape you into something.
You're not unresolved conflictshurt and pain.
We'll we'll, we'll mold you andshape you into something you're
not it'll cause you to do thingsyou would never do.
(01:06:37):
If you were free and living inthe spirit, it'll generate
desires of survival instinct andthere'll be real to you.
And you'll live for the moment.
Instead of live for him, shefought me for seven weeks to
break my heart, but I didn'thave a heart to break.
Nobody was counseling me.
(01:06:58):
I didn't have one counselor inmy life.
I had nobody in my life.
Nobody.
I would just spend time in mybedroom and my Bible and Jesus
was showing me if I didn't havelove, I had nothing.
And he was showing me what itlooked like.
And you know, we always sayabout Jesus healing, the broken
hearted.
And somehow we get the idea thatwe're all supposed to have
broken hearts all the time.
And then he heals him.
Come on.
He's not super glue.
(01:07:19):
He doesn't piece it backtogether.
And then you break it intopieces and break it.
No, no, no.
He heals the brokenhearted.
He gives you a perspective towhere your heart's not
vulnerable anymore.
I wonder if we teach people, they don't have to be broken.
Look in seven weeks.
I probably had a basis inmarriage to say I was broken.
(01:07:47):
If somebody is going out oftheir way to hurt you, you
probably think you have a reasonto be hurt.
But Jesus taught me.
I never have a reason that, so Icouldn't even see her.
And I couldn't even see pain.
I'm seven weeks old in the Lord.
And my heart was that protectedin the truth that all I could do
was wait for her.
Cause I knew I heard her and allI could do was wait for her.
(01:08:07):
Cause I knew it wasn't who shewas.
She was deceived because she washurt.
And I just wanted the honor ofloving her for the first time in
my life.
Come on.
If this isn't legit, you couldjust say, Oh well I'll love
somebody else.
Nope.
I'm married to her.
I want to love her for the firsttime in my life.
I finally see her value.
I would love, I would love towalk that out.
(01:08:32):
Yeah, you say.
Yeah, but she yell, but shenothing.
God never said your name yell, but he or yell.
But whoever came to the Otter, sincere came for repentance and
God just showed up on a thronesitting there.
Oh it's you I'll tell you you'vebeen bugging me for a long time
friend.
I always thought I'd be happy onthe day.
(01:08:53):
You finally came to this order, but I'll tell you what.
I'm not so sure anymore.
It's good.
I don't slumber.
Cause you'd have kept me up manya night.
Remember six months ago, Ireally moved your heart.
You had the greatest opportunityto be saved at night and you
pushed it off.
You shun me.
You kicked against the bricks.
You went out and caused six moremonths of hell in pain.
And now your back's against thewall.
And you want to come here andcry and say, you're sorry.
(01:09:14):
I don't even know if I believeyou.
In fact, I don't even know if wehave a future.
Speaker 4 (01:09:20):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
You say God would
never do that.
Why?
Because he's God.
No.
Cause he's love.
And he made you for his imageand Christ is the wisdom of God
for men now.
And Jesus said, follow me,follow my example.
So I guess if God would neversay that, we should never say
that.
I guess if he can't see it inhim, you shouldn't see it in us.
(01:09:47):
You know how you hurt and painand things.
We've justified in our lives.
Cause we haven't known him.
Like we sing, come on this, growup into him in all things.
Not just provision andprotection, character and heart
and the manifestation of love.
(01:10:09):
Yeah.
My wife snuck in the back doorone day.
She wanted to catch me in animproper situation.
She was looking forjustification.
So she left for a whole weekend.
She left for the whole weekend, left me there with the kids.
I was honored.
My kids were clinging to me.
I'm not joking, man.
My boy was five.
I would walk through the livingroom father.
(01:10:29):
I just thank you.
I just said, he'd just befollowing me going.
And I'd just be in God.
I thank you for my family.
I thank you for my children.
I laid my hand on his head fiveyears old, totally into the
carpet.
And I just keep walking.
Just keep praying.
He'd get back up after a whileand he just followed daddy.
(01:10:52):
God, I just think of, I'm notkidding you for one whole year.
I lined my 10, my five year oldand my wife up in front of the
bed before I left for work andjust worship God laid hands on
me.
They just laying over top ofeach other and Jesus just in the
room.
And I that's how I left for workfor a whole year.
My boy, four days, three daysinto this whole thing.
(01:11:14):
He's just sitting in his toy box[inaudible] and I'm like, he
ain't even say nothing.
I say when I'm praying intongues, like he was, it was a
cut bubbling over he's fiveyears old.
He's just sitting there prayingin tongues, playing with his
toys.
He said, well now brother, that's theologically flawed.
I woke up Monday morning, 10hours.
(01:11:37):
No I woke up yeah.
Eight, nine hours saved, prayingin tongues, sobbing and crying
and praying in tongues.
Nobody laid hands on me.
Nobody taught me anything.
I just woke up praying intongues.
What do you do with that?
Say I had an encounter with alying spirit and all these 23
years I've been living in adeception.
(01:11:59):
No I'm going to go with thefruit that's before the Lord,
I'm going to go with lives thatare changed.
I'm going to go with things thatI've seen in her in here.
My wife walks in six hours aftershe left.
She waited six hours and shetiptoed in the back door.
She's trying to catch me sprawlon the couch, screaming at the
kids, Watson, some trash, anything she could find to
(01:12:22):
relieve her constantly to go haand guess what?
She caught me doing.
I sitting Indian style in myliving room.
I had the book of Psalms openand I was teaching my 10 and
five year old.
The beauty of worshiping God.
Yeah.
She's peeking around the cornerand I saw movement and I looked
(01:12:45):
and there was her face and Isaid, Hey, did you forget
something?
She said, I'm fine.
And she stormed upstairs.
And then she came back down andtook off.
She said, she yelled at God thewhole way to her sister's house.
Why would you do this now?
(01:13:05):
All the time I prayed.
She was just freaking out.
How could you?
Cause she couldn't get away fromit.
She knew I was changed.
So she said, well, even if he'schanged, it's too late.
Now We learned a lot of languageon the earth.
Didn't we?
We sure learned how to beselfish.
(01:13:27):
Jesus said, if anyone come afterme, let him first deny himself.
He didn't say prepare to go toheaven.
He said, deny yourself.
It's the biggest problem in ourlives.
I'm not a politician and I'm nota philosopher.
And I'm certainly not thesharpest man on the planet.
But I believe I got this one,right?
(01:13:48):
Precedent.
Isn't the problem.
It's not ISIS.
It's not racial conflict.
It's every day, every day, menwake up and live for themselves.
When they're made for God'simage.
It's where every argument comesfrom.
It's where all the hatredexists.
It's where all the tit for tatit's where everything that
(01:14:09):
doesn't produce life and focuson the kingdom.
Liz man, living for herself.
Paul said, don't be wise in yourown opinion.
And we have opinions, a diamond.
It, James says slow to anger.
Quick to listen, slow to anger, quick to listen and slow to
speak.
What are we don't want to hear?
It got a whole lot to say.
(01:14:29):
And I'm really ticked off.
Slow to speak.
Slow to anger.
Quick to listen.
That's Jane.
That's the Christian.
What if all of us, most, all ofus spent our whole lives ticked
off.
Don't want to hear it.
Got a whole lot to say, guesswhat love does lays down its
life for another.
Guess what?
We've all grown up doing live inat the expense of each other.
(01:14:54):
We say how bad attitudes, putting pressure on each other.
You're in a family of three, four, and you cop an attitude
that puts pressure on your otherthree and they have to respond
to you.
You're living at their expense.
You're not adding life.
You're drawing from it.
You're taking from it.
You be careful young people justcopping that too.
Whatever.
And just shutting your door andavoidant and putting people
(01:15:17):
under pressure.
Parents getting ticked off andscolding your children.
Cause they've crossed your line.
You're not supposed to have aline.
You don't say Billy, get to yourroom.
I told you once I told you ahundred, but mom, but dad just
gets your room.
Don't do that to Billy.
(01:15:37):
You walk Billy in his room andyou sit down and you weep with
Billy and you tell him whyyou're pulling some things and
discipline and some thingsbecause his life is a whole lot
more than what he's givenhimself to.
And you make sure Billy knowswhen you're done with him, that
you did it for Billy.
And that if he continues to livethis way, these kinds of things
are going to cause pain andlimitations in his life.
(01:15:58):
And you're trying to teach himat a young age.
Cause I love you boy.
And then you wrap your armsaround him and you pray with
him.
Why you disciplining him and youwalk out of his room.
So Billy knows you're not mad athim even a little bit that you
actually don't believe higherability than he's given himself.
(01:16:20):
Yeah.
You got great opportunity.
Some you got homemakers here.
Some of you women, how manywomen would say you're a
homemaker.
You're like you just keepingdown the Fort man.
You're holding down the Fort.
Karen for the kids washing upthem clothes.
Yeah.
Todd said, you're waving yourhand for Jackie.
(01:16:42):
Listen.
How do you do all things to theglory of God?
Whether you eat, whether youdrink, do it all under the glory
of God.
How is that possible?
How does the guy in Dallas inthe summer?
And he's a roofer go to workeveryday and do his work to the
glory of God when it's a hundreddegrees plus on that roof.
And you already know what it waslike the last two days.
And now you're on hump day andyou got two more days before you
(01:17:04):
even have two days of break.
You recognize that your life isfor the kingdom and you stay
thankful.
So you receive grace in allthings and you don't go to work
with an attitude.
You don't grumble.
You don't complain.
You stay in fellowship with Godand you do what you do.
And even if you see it as aseason and you're looking for a
transition of jobs while you'rein that transition, do what
(01:17:25):
you're doing with all your heartto the Lord.
Yeah.
So you set an example to men.
If you're a homemaker and you'reat home, please don't get caught
doing this.
Like guys don't be driving towork, man.
I can't believe I got to go tothe grindstone again.
God, you got to get me out ofthis crazy job.
I don't know if I can take amuch more.
I can't stand the language of, Ihear one more F bomb today.
(01:17:46):
Come on, stop it.
You're just, you're just gettingin a weird place, man.
You come home and you're burnedout and you're expecting your
spouse to understand.
Well, they're just cursing allday and they're tearing each
other up and they're cynical.
How much can I take?
Like I wouldn't even know how tobe like, Oh, I'd be like, so
(01:18:06):
where's Jesus in anything you'resaying like, why did you go to
work for them to treat you theway you were hoping?
Like since when did yourpreference become Lord?
I thought she went to work toshine.
What's the matter what they weresaying.
(01:18:27):
This should make your heart moremerciful towards them.
Your homemaker, please don't getcaught doing this.
You're at the wash and you lookdown and there's this big load
of wash.
And you just did three loadsyesterday and you're like, you
would think I'm married to thiswashing machine.
I just seems like, Oh, I do iswash, wash, wash, wash, wash.
And you pull it out and you say,I think that man would this
(01:18:49):
shirt for 25 minutes.
I don't even think to Johnny didnot tell you a hundred times.
It never to your stuff insideout.
That's it.
I'm just watching it inside out.
You can do it yourself.
Speaker 4 (01:19:05):
[inaudible]
Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
But you just left
from your little tea time with
your little prayer group girlsand you just pray blessings over
your family.
Last things over the childrenlast, my husband, Lord.
And now you're out the washer,Kirsten.
Everybody.
You say Johnny, if I told youonce, I've told you a thousand
times that boy I'll just neverget it.
(01:19:25):
He'll just never get it.
Well, what am I supposed to do?
Dan?
You pick up that little insideout shirt.
You can't chuckle because it'sinside out for sure.
And you say, Oh, that boy, Iknow you go and turn things for
such an amazing way.
(01:19:46):
Like this boy, sometimes Lordyou've been growing me.
I used to let simple thingsfrustrate me like this, but now
I just feel like, Oh, I can dois prophesied over his life.
God, just like I'm turning thisshirt inside, out and around.
You're turning little Johnnyinside out and you just,
Speaker 4 (01:20:06):
Then you get your
husband's shirt.
Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
Woo ha ha.
Next thing you know, you're doneall the washing.
You're looking for Mo washcoming on.
You, you just ready to speakover your family, you up there
in the kitchen, cook cook, cookon dues.
We see just ordered out.
(01:20:29):
I didn't even want to cooktonight.
Some of your women's like Amy,go ahead and cook and eat out.
But what I'm saying is watchyour attitude.
Make sure you don't get trickedinto self centered things and do
what you do to the glory of God.
I'm telling you find so muchgrace, you get it.
That washer you get in your carand go to work and you start
blessing your family andthanking God that you're in the
(01:20:50):
position you're in.
It's called laying down yourlife.
Not living for yourself.
Come on.
I'm telling you, it'll justgrace will flood your heart.
You will have a view of yourfamily.
That is second to none.
And you will value littleJohnny.
Even when his shirts inside out, you'll find your daughter.
She changed like three times andyou'll be like, I don't even
(01:21:13):
know she had this on you.
Like, cause he just changedthree times looking into me.
She threw it in the wall.
Man.
If, if something like that isgoing to mess up your day, you
are a sitting duck, Satansitting back on and then you're
(01:21:40):
a church.
Holy Holy.
And he's sitting there going toyell, right?
I turned you to Romans three andTodd read it this morning in his
bedroom.
We probably ought to just checkit out.
(01:22:00):
Verse 21.
No we're going there.
I feel the doubt and unbelief.
We're pressing through theunbelief.
We're pressing through it.
I've created the unbelief.
So I got to press through it.
Hey, you know, no, I'm kidding.
I'm kidding.
We're going to read this Romansthree verse 21, but now, but now
(01:22:22):
man, but now the righteousnessof God, apart from the law is
revealed being witnessed by thelaw and the prophets.
See it's amazing.
The strength of the gospel isthe righteous judgment of God
through the blood of JesusChrist.
He made us right in his sight.
The word actually carries thedefinition of innocent and Holy
(01:22:46):
he who knew no sin was made tobe sin.
That we might become therighteousness of God in Christ.
Jesus.
That means the righteousjudgment and expression of being
judged
Speaker 5 (01:23:06):
Right by God through
Jesus Christ.
It carries the word innocent andHoly
Speaker 4 (01:23:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:23:14):
First Peter two, let
me quote it for you.
He bore your sin and my sin inhis body on a tree and we, yeah,
that's exactly right.
We're like, yeah, but watch isthat we having died to sin.
That means it's identity.
It's consciousness, it's memory,it's desires.
(01:23:34):
It's identity.
See, there's a response of faithin the believer.
Jesus did something amazing.
You can scream about it for therest of your life, but he's
saying, Hey, you better put iton.
You better open it up.
You better unwrap that thing.
If you're a fractious, this is agift.
You better open it up.
And then don't just say, Oh,well that didn't quite my size.
(01:23:56):
That didn't quite my color.
I don't know if that's going tofit.
Put the thing on it's made foryou.
Speaker 4 (01:24:05):
[inaudible]
Speaker 5 (01:24:06):
Yeah.
And don't look at the gift asy'all you shouldn't have, cause
they'll say, Oh yes I shouldhave.
Because I've known you from thebeginning and the one I know
ain't the one I've been seeingall these years.
It's time to die to the old.
She can live to the nail.
You put it on.
It's called righteousness.
Righteousness of God.
Apart from the laws is revealed.
(01:24:28):
See it's apart from the law.
So, so, so it's witnessed by thelaw and the prophets in the, in
the, in the, in the days of thelaw, animals had to die,
innocent, little spotless lambs.
They would sell them at markets.
I mean, these people had to likekill stuff.
They would split the littledoves open and like Catone for
sins.
(01:24:49):
Come on.
We're right.
Apart from our works, we foundrash through God, right?
Or through Jesus with God, Imake jokes about it.
I'm like, could you aren't youthankful?
That's just stopped living bythe law.
Because if you live by the law, then you need to start doing
some with your little cat andyour puppy and your parakeet.
(01:25:10):
You get off the computer andlittle hammies in travel.
He's over there in a wheel.
And he sees you in the computerand his eyes starts twitching.
Speaker 4 (01:25:18):
No, no.
Then you get off your computer.
Speaker 5 (01:25:26):
No, you go down into
the base
Speaker 4 (01:25:31):
Little hammy.
Speaker 5 (01:25:34):
All of a sudden the
parakeet ain't even singing no
more.
Cause he says all there underthe law, come on.
If you're going to live underworks in the loud, then you
probably ought to just startdoing something with your pets.
You're not under the law you'vebeen named right in the sight of
(01:25:55):
God.
So what do you do if you sinfirst, John two, you have an
advocate.
Jesus, the righteous and whoplead mercy over your sins.
So you run him.
You don't run from
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Him.
You run to him, you don't runfrom him.
And his righteous plea willbring righteousness and keep
righteousness over your life.
The design isn't to enable youto keep on sin.
It's so that you see thegoodness of God in that judgment
of righteousness and that hebelieves better about you and
knows you have a greater purposeand potential.
And he sees you apart from yourability to sin and he sees you
(01:26:27):
for purpose in him.
It's the whole goal that thegoodness of God will lead you to
change that you would actuallywake up one day in truth and go,
Oh my goodness, I wasn't madefor this.
I was made for this.
And all of a sudden, you stepout and step in.
And all of a sudden the gospelitself has raised your identity.
Not your actions, not your ownfruit bearing.
(01:26:47):
The gospel itself has raisedyour identity and low esteem has
become healthy esteem.
And all of a sudden you see thevalue of your life in him.
And now you live up to what yousee rather than follow that old
thing.
Are you with me?
And that way it's not by works.
It's by faith and guess who getsall the glory?
And when you see your lifechanging like that, you know,
(01:27:10):
it's changed.
Cause you live with you and allof a sudden your conscience goes
free.
And all of a sudden you're notliving in secrets.
And all of a sudden you canpreach all this stuff because
it's your life and your reality.
And you compel people with thesetruths and you go to bed tonight
and your conscience is clear andyou actually go to sleep feeling
good about yourself in God.
(01:27:31):
So real good
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
Live sure beats
secrets when there are none,
Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Even the
righteousness of God, through
faith in Jesus Christ to all andon all who believe for there is
no difference for all havesinned and fallen short of the
glory of God or fall short ofthe glory of God being justified
freely by his grace, through theredemption, the restoration, the
bringing back to original valuethat is in Christ.
Jesus whom God set forth as amercy for our sins.
(01:28:06):
That's what that wordpropitiation means.
Mercy seat by his blood throughhere's your part.
Here's my part.
Through what?
Speaker 4 (01:28:13):
Through faith
Speaker 2 (01:28:15):
To demonstrate his
righteousness because in his
forbearance, God has passed overthe sins that were previously.
Speaker 4 (01:28:26):
It's just
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
So amazing to
demonstrate at this present
time, his righteousness, that hemight be just and the justifier
of the one who has faith inJesus.
Come on.
That says it all right there.
If you and I believe that bamnever again, guilt,
condemnation, shame.
(01:28:47):
It'll end struggles.
You wake up and you're rightwith him.
You present yourself a livingsacrifice acceptable unto God.
You do a Roman six.
You wake up and you presentyourself as members to
righteousness, working fruit andproducing its fruit to holiness.
I've done this as a pastor for along time.
When I'd counseled people, I'dask people what their prayer
(01:29:09):
life looks like.
I would ask people how they talkto God when they're alone.
And a lot of people look at youfunny.
They don't have a fellowshiptime with God.
They just have a prayer list.
Not saying the prayer list iswrong, but to not have a
fellowship with God, you'llnever get to know him.
You'll just always keep him thehopeful meter of what you need.
(01:29:33):
If you don't get alone with him, you'll never get to know him.
If you don't commune with him,how will he ever reveal himself
to your heart?
If you don't seek him, how willyou find him?
If you don't draw near you withme, I've learned this lots of
Christians as I was growing upin the Lord and pastoring and
leading and stuff.
(01:29:53):
I know it's changing rapidlytoday, but there's still many
people.
Never talk to the Lord whenthey're alone and initiate
communion with him where theyjust acknowledge his love for
them.
Thank you that you see me purein your sight.
I still appreciate you making meclean through the blood.
I've talked to countless peoplethat never even thought that way
(01:30:16):
when they were alone, let alonetalk that way.
That's the giveaway right there.
But we're trying harder.
We're trying to be better.
And that's why we're sure we'refailing.
I'm telling you guys this gospelis our only answer.
It's our only true hope.
(01:30:37):
He's not a way.
And he's not a good choice totry.
He's the way.
Yeah.
And there's something about youstarting where he finished.
There's something about youevery day, waking up and not
being afraid of being in denial, but actually waking up every
morning and saying, you knowwhat, man, you made me Holy
blameless and above reproach inyour sight, you made me worthy
(01:30:59):
of housing.
Your Holy spirit, you passedover all the sins, committed,
separating them as far as Eastnew West.
And you made me right in yoursight.
Thank you for making me worthyof your life and ne of your
love.
I appreciate you, father.
That would be an amazing way tolive.
(01:31:20):
Yeah.
I'm just telling you straightup.
If you don't start where hefinished, you'll never run well.
As he rules his kingdom with aSceptre of righteousness and the
strength of the kingdom, hisrighteousness, then you probably
ought to stand in it if he paidfor it.
Because as a man think is so heis the way you see yourself as
(01:31:44):
what you'll produce.
The Lord wants to fine tune andbrighten the lamp of your body.
And it's your perspective, evenon your own life.
Wonder if the blood is enough.
Wonder if the work is finished.
Wonder if there's nothing I cando to become
Speaker 3 (01:32:00):
More righteous.
Wonder if he did that all.
I wonder if my place is to, byfaith, put that robe on and
never take it off.
I wonder if the beauty aboutunderstanding what I'm saying,
isn't self intended.
It's big picture intended.
The more you see, God sees youthis way, the more your
(01:32:21):
understand.
It's how he sees every man.
And it will begin to teach yourheart how to not give up on
people.
Get frustrated at people, judgepeople, or be critical to people
because you understand that inyour weaknesses, he came and
made you strong and that whenyou were missing it, he treated
you as if you made it.
(01:32:42):
And all of a sudden what he didfor you and what he did in you
begins to translate this way.
And all of a sudden, you're notjust forgiven.
You've become forgiveness.
You didn't just obtain mercy.
You've become merciful.
He didn't just make peace withyou.
You've become a peacemaker.
(01:33:03):
And all of a sudden the gospelis multiplying in.
As many as believe this thing isnot a confession.
It's an expression.
He transforms our lives.
I want you to stand your feet.
I'm going to pray over you.
Are you proud of me, Tom?
That I ended so early.
(01:33:24):
Where's he ain't even ready.
Is he closing out?
Look at that.
They told me four 20 it's four17.
I gave him three minutes back.
That's amazing.
We can live this life guys.
It's by simple faith.
(01:33:45):
The first expression ofrighteousness you'll see in your
Bible.
The first expression is alreadyin Genesis three.
God revealed his righteousnessin Genesis three.
When he came to Adam and Eve andwhat did he do?
He took off their fig leaves.
They were covering their sin,but who knows it wasn't covered.
(01:34:07):
If he left them, fig leaves onthem every day they woke up.
What are they thinking of?
When they see them vaguely, theday they sinned and missed God
the day they threw it all awayand God doesn't want to leave
them sin conscious.
Guess what he does.
He takes off their fig leavesand he puts on animal skins made
(01:34:29):
with his own hands.
Now we understand that you canfind the blood covenant Daron
without the shedding of blood.
There's no remission of sin.
I get it.
But we miss righteousness there.
See, we say, well, animals hadto die.
It was the first sign of blood, covenant stuff and animal
shedding their blood to remitsin and no forgiveness without
the shedding of blood.
I get it.
Not making light of it.
It's just not my point rightnow.
(01:34:50):
Watch.
If he leaves the fig leaves onthem, all they're aware of their
identity is riddled with the daythey missed it.
But if he prophesies over themand tells them, there's a seed
coming through the woman, who'sgoing to crush the head of the
enemy.
And then he puts animals, skinson them.
(01:35:10):
Every day, they wake up and seethem skins.
What are they aware of the day?
God promised a hope, a futuresalvation, right?
So Jesus didn't even come yet.
Jesus didn't even shed hisblood.
And God's already saying, Idon't want you focused on what
you did wrong.
I want you focused on how I seeyou and the hope you have right
(01:35:33):
in front of you.
So he took off the lie and puton a higher truth.
Are you getting this?
And it was a way of God saying,I love you.
You have a higher creative valuethan what you performed.
I'm going to bring out the bestin you.
If you don't put that thing on,how will you ever manifest that
(01:35:54):
truth?
I'm just telling you as youstand there, humbly waiting to
pray.
Let your days of guilt, condemnation, shame, be over.
Let the days of yell button, beover.
Let the days of who me be over.
Yes, you and you begin to thankGod that he loves you and
nothing can change that, but youhe'll still love you, but he
(01:36:14):
won't be receiving it.
She's one thing.
If I look at you man and say,Hey, God really loves you.
I'm always right.
But it's another thing.
If he's being loved by God,that's our highest goal.
Don't you lift your hands toheaven with me.
Would you father, we justreceive you this morning.
Would you from your heart, everyhand that's raised every person
that's participating from yourheart.
(01:36:35):
Would you just thank God rightnow from your heart?
You can whisper it out.
You can say it out and just say, thank you for loving me.
Thank you that truly throughthis gospel, I'm clean in your
sight.
You value me.
You love me.
You've watched me.
You came to live inside of meand you came to transform my
(01:36:56):
life.
I you to you.
You're the great Potter.
And I say yes to your love.
Yes.
To your mercy.
Yes.
To wholeness.
Come on.
Just receive it, put it on.
Wow.
Some of you say this, some ofyou need to say this.
Thank you.
That I'm clean no matter whereI've been, no matter what was
(01:37:17):
ever done, you have me standinghere before you clean.
You've changed my heart.
You've changed my life andyou've took everything away.
That was not a view.
Thanks for making me brand new.
I receive your love.
(01:37:39):
I receive your Holy spirit.
I'm going to live in you all thedays of my life.
Amen.
Thank you guys.
