Speaker 2 (00:11):
But that's not missed
the point.
We can never let our churchattendance take the place of
knowing him your churchattendance.
Isn't your Christianity Christlikeness is your Christianity.
Your relationship with him iswhat he paid for.
He paid for Christ in you, thehope of glory.
(00:32):
He didn't pay so that we canattend a church.
He paid so he could live in you.
The really it's it's a big deal.
So is church important?
It's beautiful and important.
There's a lot of benefits to thelocal church.
I won't go into the whole list, but even just the corporateness
the army mentality, touching acommunity, the outreach stuff,
the all that our personal livesare always called to be an
(00:55):
outreach without even tryinglike love is evangelistic.
You don't have to do evangelism.
Love is evangelistic.
When you don't think foryourself, you're gonna think for
him and others, it's anautomatic.
You're always thinking outsideof yourself when you're dead to
yourself and alive unto him.
So I want to talk about somethings today.
(01:15):
The reason that we're here andgathered this morning,
scripturally, the main reasonwho knows the corporate worship
is incredible.
Who knows that it's fun and theatmosphere and you can, you just
know God's here.
There's times where everybody, even if you don't know the Lord,
you're like, something's goingon in here right now.
You can just, you can feel theshifts in a room when you're in
(01:35):
corporate worship, who knowswhat I'm talking about.
And, and, and, and miss, youknow, she was talking about
worship this morning a littlebit, and worship is such a gift
to us because actually worshipbegins when the nature and
person of God is realized.
When you know who he is, worshipis a response.
You begin to adore him and honorhim and confess and acknowledge
the glory of who he is.
(01:57):
What's important about that isthen the truth of who he is
stage relevant in your life andon your life.
You see what I'm saying?
So it's really amazing to havean amazing worship life like
that.
So a lot of this, uh, corporatetime is, is, is a synergistic
worship experience where God'sin the room, touching and moving
.
It's a focus point.
(02:18):
You can look around and say, youknow what?
I'm not the only one going afterGod.
There's a community here.
I'm not the only believer.
I'm not the only one wanting togrow up into him or be a part of
who he is and what he paid for.
Right?
So there's connectivity.
There's a lot of purposes forthe local church, but the Bible
says the reason we don't forsakeourselves in assembling together
(02:41):
is this in order that we mightstir one another in love and
good works, we've gotta be socareful in this season.
We're in, there's so manymessages, there's so many
churches and so many messagesthat are focusing on your
(03:01):
benefit and not yourtransformation go to church
because they don't believe God'sdoing what they need him to do
for them.
And they're circumstantiallydriven and they're only doing as
good as things are going, andthey're whole disposition and
they're whole mentality.
(03:21):
And their whole perspective is,is being evolved through life
instead of the giver of life.
So all of a sudden they'retricked into being, without
realizing it they're trickedinto being a Christian for their
own sake, instead of a Christianfor his namesake and all of a
sudden, they're a Christian forwhat he can do for them instead
(03:41):
of how we can make them morelike him.
Yes.
And you never wanna get caughtin that trap, cuz I'm just being
straight as narrow as I can bethis morning.
If your motive in Christianityis about tomorrow, you've got
conflicts, you've got unresolvedstuff.
You you're emotionally not doingcool if you're a Christian for
(04:05):
your sake, because you're,self-conscious, you're looking
at every situation and you'relooking for glassy CS and
they're just not out there.
Is it okay if I'm real, listen, don't get versed in this thing
and think, oh man, he's burst inmy bubble.
I was going after that.
We're not going after glassyseas.
(04:25):
We're going after a deeperrevelation of him so that we can
manifest him in the face ofwhatever's in front of us.
Come on, we're the army of God.
We're called to Shine's lights.
He said, he's the light of theworld.
And then he turns around andsays to the disciples, it's
like, he's just, and has this.
You are the light of the world.
What's he saying, I'm gonna putwho I am in you.
I'm going to the father sit inhis right hand.
(04:47):
I'm gonna live in you by theperson of my spirit.
And you are gonna manifest me.
You are gonna be the embodimentof Christ.
Come on.
That's what he's saying to hisdisciples.
So, so that's what, when Ibecome a Christian, you're doing
water baptisms.
They're coming up.
I heard that.
That's amazing.
It's so powerful.
What a contact point of faith,of dying to live, dying, to
(05:08):
live, where anything I've everdone, anything ever done to me?
Anything before today isreckoned dead in Christ.
I'm gonna be buried in baptismin him, in death, into his
death, buried in baptism, inChrist into his death.
The Bible in Roman six says thedeath.
He died.
He died to sin once for all thelife he lives.
(05:30):
He lives under God.
Likewise.
You reckon yourselves deadindeed to sin.
That means no more regrets, nomore looking over your shoulder,
no lower lives, no longer livingin the past, pushing away the
identity, the stain, the memoryand the impulse of sin and
saying, this is not why I'm onthe earth.
I am not a sinful man waiting tomanifest.
(05:53):
I'm a son in the making and thespirit of lives inside of me.
How can I reckon myself deadindeed, to sin and stay
conscious and aware of it andboast in my ability to commit it
and call that humility.
I did.
I'm gonna thanks.
(06:14):
I did not, but thanks.
I did not wake up this morningto sin.
I didn't even think about sin.
It hasn't even crossed my mind.
The only reason I'm talkingabout now is to teach and
empower you to get it outta yourmind.
I did not wake up and try not tosin today.
I woke up enjoying being a son.
I woke up enjoying being saved.
I woke up accepted in thebeloved, washed through the
(06:37):
blood pure and holy andblameless and above reproach in
his sight.
Look, this is a work of God.
It's not a work of man.
There's no pride in this.
I didn't achieve this.
I just believe it.
And the grace comes on me tolive it cuz he paid for it.
Yeah.
Come on.
It's a big deal.
You wake up and you try not tosin in good gesture and good
(06:59):
faith.
And all you're conscious of isyour own life, your own actions,
your own functions.
And you're gonna be more sinconscious than before you don't
wake up and try not to sin andcall it.
Holy you wake up and enjoy that.
You're free from it.
And thank God he put a new heartin you.
He put a new reason for being inyou.
He put new life in you.
You're his child and he lovesyou.
(07:20):
And he lives in you and you goin the bathroom and get ready
for work and check out thatperson in the mirror and say,
whoa man, it's happening.
I see him in you and you justget fired up and don't get all
caught up in man.
I wish my hair was a differentgrade.
I don't know why I didn't getthis kind of hair and oh, I
don't like my nose and stop it.
(07:43):
Amen.
Every day is a gift.
We're here this morning to stirone another in love and good
works.
He's gracious enough to gimme amic.
I got one little crack at youguys.
I got one little shot, man.
I'm gonna stir as hot ne as Ican.
I got one going, crank thatthing.
(08:04):
Man's the reason we're on theearth is to let our light so
shine before men, nobody, nobodylights a lamp and then puts a
bushel over it.
Let your light shine before men.
So they see your life lift yourgood works.
(08:26):
And they glorify the father whodidn't have it.
Do you hear that privilege, man?
That sure beat's gettingoffended.
And he said, she said, well, Ifeel well.
They shouldn't have, well, howcome they?
Well, they should have never, well, I don't know why.
Well you get, because when youget tricked into that and call
(08:46):
it normal, it takes away thelight.
When you're offended, you're notshining when you're in turmoil.
You're not shining whendiscouraged.
You're not shining when you'reself-conscious, you're not
shining.
When you're self focused andcentered, you're not shining
anything that this is designedto steal the light in your life
(09:07):
is a strategy to take away thepurpose you woke up every day.
It's why men struggle so muchthat have good hearts.
I'm not talking to a room ofhypocrites.
I'm talking to God's family andchildren this morning.
I'm not talking to a bunch ofpeople that woke up and are
trying to figure a way to missGod and get away with it.
I'm talking to his kids thismorning, but I've seen
(09:27):
goodhearted.
People get destroyed for thelack of knowledge and let things
matter more than what mattersmost.
And they live outside of thereason they're here.
And then life is a grind, achallenge and tough.
And, and everybody says, well, you know, life is and we gotta
get through it, man, but praiseGod, we're gonna hold on.
He'll he'll get us through.
(09:47):
The gospel is not a securityblanket.
It's not a survival kit.
It's the answer of a new life.
It's the answer for a new motiveand a new way and a new reason
for being.
And it's not a way it's the, andit's narrow and confined is the
way and difficult is the way andfewer those who actually ever
(10:09):
really pass through and walk init.
His says, and broad is the waysee the kingdom of God is at
hand.
He, he says, you're either forme or you're against me.
You either gather to me or youscatter.
And we always just think he'stalking about unbelievers versus
Christians.
(10:29):
You, you can see your need for asavior.
You can recognize you've sinned.
You can be absolutely trulysorry for that.
Repent for that and get saved.
Get water baptized and know thespirit of God has come in.
You never deal with yourmindsets, your motives, your,
your, your, your, your reasonfor being and the way that you
conduct your life.
And you can actually be a partof a congregation and work
(10:52):
against the kingdom of Godbecause of your attitude or
mentality.
And yet you're a Christian.
You can just agree withunforgiveness and have your
case.
So built in the court of yourmind that you're sure you have a
reason, cause you don't knowwhat I've been through and you
back off and you didn't have ithappen to you.
And don't you be ghost quick tospeak to me.
(11:12):
You should be more sensitive.
I've been through it and ittakes a while to get over these
things and you need to back off,you could get so in that arena
that you could actually findpermission for unforgiveness
when heaven doesn't even knowwhat that is.
And all of a sudden it's justnormal to men, but it's not
normal to him and your kingdomcoming.
(11:33):
Your will be done on earth as itis right now in heaven.
There's no unforgiveness inheaven.
Why is it so normal to us?
Cause we all grew upself-centered we all had our
rights.
We all had expectations.
We all had people let us downand fail us.
We all had chips on ourshoulder, whether we knew it or
not.
And they all got knocked off andwe lived with thousands of
rights that God never gave usfrom the beginning.
He gave you one, right?
(11:54):
His image.
He gave you one, right?
To be more like him.
When you deny yourself and laydown your life, you give up
every right to obtain one, tofollow him, to manifest him and
to bring his name glory and tolove the people in front of you.
And the more they don't know whothey are.
And the more they're acting outwhen Sinna bounds, grace comes
even great or why to cover amultitude of sin and let mercy
(12:15):
triumph over judgment.
Why?
So God can snatch men out ofdarkness and bring them into the
light.
Here's what you and I have beengrounded this morning.
The great honor of living in thespirit, the great honor of the
living, God, the creator of allthings comes to living and dwell
inside of you.
Not so you feel him not.
So you catch a blessing, not soyou get provision and protection
(12:36):
in full vets and full barns.
So you shine in the midst ofadversity.
So you walk on the waves of lifeand manifest his great name.
There is one reason he's on theinside of us so we can make him
known.
Dear sister got up here and saidsomething about, even if Adam
was even when it was so sweet, Ichuckled.
(12:59):
She said, if Adam was enough andhad it all, he was, he wouldn't
have gave, he wouldn't have madeEve.
And I'm like, wow, it was good.
Let me just expound on that fora second.
Cuz it's in my heart.
Here's why he made Eve.
It's not cuz Adam was lonely.
Get that outta your head.
That's absolutely ludicrous.
It's cuz he had nowhere tomultiply.
He had nowhere to go with theglory of who God made him to be.
(13:22):
He had no one to love.
God made Adam to multiplyhimself.
He looks down and says he has noone comparable.
He's naming all the animals, whatever he said.
So it was why God gave himauthority and told him to have
the subdued, the earth.
He didn't say be subdued.
He said, subdue.
He didn't say fear.
(13:43):
The world you live in.
He said subdue, the world youlive in.
Yeah.
So he is looking and he says, man, people say, well, he said,
it's not good to man.
Be alone.
It's not cuz he was lonely.
He had nowhere to multiply.
He had nowhere to express theglory of who God made him to be.
He's absolutely fulfilled.
He's fulfilled in God.
He's fulfilled in love to knowthe love price should be filled
(14:04):
with all the fullness of God.
He wasn't needy.
He wasn't gonna reduce.
I love you into, I need you.
I love you for what you do forme.
That's why relationships arehurting.
Cause of the motive isself-centered and on the surface
it looks like it's not come on,man.
(14:24):
If I wake up this morning, married, my wife doesn't owe me
a thing.
We have a pretty good day aheadof us.
You say, oh, tell me and see ifshe with this and see with that.
Why would I hurt for me?
If I'm dead to me and alive untohim?
Why wouldn't I hurt for her?
Why is it so easy to cry foryourself and not cry for others?
Because we were born into a lieand the truth came to set us
free.
That's not miss it.
That's not just sign a thing togo to heaven.
(14:46):
That's let heaven come into usand overtake our lives and that
should transformed and that's beturned around and that's be made
alive in Christ.
Jesus.
Come on, man.
If you try to bring this newwine and pour it into the old
wine skin, of course it'll burstand it'll spill out and it'll be
wasted and lost every day.
You have the potential to loveby the spirit of grace in your
life.
Every day you can walk in in, inno offense every day you can see
(15:10):
people through his eyes.
I promise you.
You can wake up in the morning.
You can lay on your bed and youcan say, father, thank you for
this opportunity.
This gift called life.
Man.
When I go to the workplace, I'mdone complaining.
I'm done believing.
It's a grindstone and I'm donepraying for you to knock my boss
off his high horse.
I and watch.
And I'm done praying for a newjob cuz I can't stand.
The one I work at.
Well, it won't be long.
You can't stand the next one.
(15:38):
Let me let finish this thingwithout a any Eve.
I didn't forget.
Holy Spirit's good to me man.
See how I'm right on the edgebrother.
Woo.
I'm nail it man.
Yeah.
I'm gonna come over here andplay this edge just a little
bit.
It just feels good, man.
I'm nailing it.
I'm waiting to get, I think theyslipped something on the mic.
(15:59):
This is so God says, let us makeman in our image.
Look, God is love.
God made man to love.
Not need, love, be love.
This is what we missed.
This is what nobody ever taughtme.
No preacher ever taught me this, but they didn't know you then.
But no preacher ever taught methis.
I went to four differentchurches, probably growing up
and no preacher ever told methis.
They just told me I needed topray a prayer because I was a
(16:19):
sinner.
And I would be glad that he paidthat price to forgive my sins
and someday let me in heaven.
And you better stay in churchbecause he's coming and you
better be in church.
When he comes.
That's what I was taught mywhole life as a kid, I'd watched
crucifixion movies and Ibelieved in Jesus and I believed
he was real.
And I believed he went throughthat and it would make me feel
(16:40):
bad.
Cause I, but pastors would beyour sin, put him there.
And I'm like, and then I'd thinksomething bad or either I'd do
something wrong or I'd tell mymom I wouldn't.
And I did.
And, and I was aware of that, but nobody told me that that
could change.
Nobody, nobody, just, everybodyjust told me I had a problem.
Nobody told me I could bedifferent.
(17:02):
Nobody told me that Jesus diedon the cross.
Cuz he saw my purpose, mypotential, my destiny.
And he knew me from thebeginning.
He knew me apart from sin andknew what I could look like if
he was in me and I wassurrendered and he said, son,
that's worth paying for, I'llgive my life to restore you.
Yeah, no preacher ever told methat.
(17:23):
If a preacher told me I'd had aran down front, he didn't die on
the cross.
Cuz I'm a sinner.
He had to die because I sinned.
He died on the cross cuz I was alost son and he wanted to save
that, which was lost.
Not who, that my created value,my purpose, my destiny and the
(17:44):
motive of God all restoredthrough one, sacrifice the blood
of Jesus.
What's my part in this.
Deny myself, why I was made forhis image.
Not myself.
I was made to love, not needed.
I'm not cut off from the sourceof it anymore.
I'm grafted back in to know thelove of Christ and to be filled
(18:05):
with all the fullness of God.
So love one another.
So I guess my days of offenseand hurt and anger and
frustration and bitterness isover, oh brother, that's denial.
No it's the gospel and stopbelieving your experience above
his grace.
That so wants to change you.
(18:27):
Sorry.
I'm intense now, Adam, I don'tknow how I can be this intense
stay in my boundaries.
this has to be the Lord.
So, so Adam's not needy.
You gotta understand this.
He's filled with God.
What did he tell Adam and Evewhen he made him in acts one or
(18:50):
uh, Genesis one and then inGenesis two, he tells the whole
story.
But in Genesis one, he justsaid, so he made man in 27, both
male and female and he blessedhim and he said be.
And so what's the whole goal ofGod.
What's the intention.
It's always about multiply.
What's the first law seed timeand harvest time.
Each seed after its own.
(19:12):
It's on purpose.
All about multiply.
Why is God make man in the firstplace to multiply himself on the
earth and to make an expressionof who he is.
He gave us flesh to act out whatwe're housing.
He didn't give you flesh to sin.
He gave you flesh to manifest.
God's a spirit.
God doesn't have a head in armsand legs.
(19:34):
He said, you know what?
I'm gonna put myself in a body.
I'm gonna put who I am in Adam.
I'm gonna breathe who I am intohim.
And, and dirt stood up.
Dirt stood up.
We say, we believe we'rebelievers.
We let a headache ruin our day.
(20:01):
He breathed into dirt and a manstood up alive.
That looked like he would lookin a body and he said, it ain't
good that this guy's alone.
There's no one comparable.
He's got nowhere to go with whatI've made him.
So he didn't make a woman cuz heneeded her in the way we know he
(20:24):
didn't make her shapely and lyso he could won her and Lu her
and whoa man.
Her, none of that was on theearth that later.
That's why every time he says, put away the works of the flesh
every time, the first thing onthe list of the works of the
(20:46):
flesh, you can go to fian,Romans Corinthians, Galatians
everywhere.
There's a list of the works ofthe flesh.
The very first thing on the listis sexuality.
Why?
Cause it's so 180 perverted.
So self-centered driven socentral and emotionally driven
and we've bought into it.
We've been jaded through pornand Hollywood and STARI emotion.
(21:08):
And it's not the reality.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
It's not,
Speaker 2 (21:17):
There's a reason.
The first thing on the list inthe Bible is sexuality.
He doesn't say find a balance,get control.
He says, kill it.
As you know it, people say, wellGod gave us our sex drive.
Stop it.
Adam gave you your sex drivebecause it's full of need and
(21:42):
want and lust.
God gave men and woman theability to come together.
But it's a beautiful and holyand amazing thing.
It has nothing to do with a onenightstand or a pastor sleeping
with a worship leader.
It has nothing to do withunresolved conflicts and empty
hearts and vacuums andemotionally driven people that
are making grave mistakes andmisrepresenting truth.
(22:02):
And then we say, well, you know, flesh is evil.
We just don't.
Who knows the heart of man.
It's amazing.
God considers us stop Eddie.
He's called us to betransformed.
Let's stop making excuses forstaying the same.
When he pays, paid a price fornew life through Jesus Christ.
If any man be in Christ, any manbe in Christ.
(22:23):
He's a new creation.
Old things have passed away.
Behold, all things I bet he'stalk about motive and reason for
being in purpose.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Come
Speaker 2 (22:38):
On.
He took away my neediness.
He used to lush after my wife, Iused to need my wife and I could
be angry with my wife andfunction sexually and just act
out porn in my mind and tell herI loved her.
And because I could function andbe satisfied, I guess she felt
like she was doing her part andshe still had it going on.
(23:01):
Cuz she could get me there.
I could be angry at her andfunction that way.
Cuz I was lost.
I could live at her expense andnot think twice about it and
say, I love you and not beconvicted.
Yeah, it's just okay.
If somebody gets straight withsome of this stuff, I'm leaving
this afternoon anyway.
(23:22):
So You don't know one arena inyour life and neither do I.
It's a close second, a closesecond to the exploitation of
sexuality.
There's not an arena.
That's even a close second ofthe attention and focus on
(23:45):
sexuality.
Why you do not counterfeit$1bill.
You go after the big pot of goldand you counterfeit an area that
men are driven by their sensesinstead of their spirit.
See I'm talking with boldnesscuz I know what it was like
(24:06):
before I knew Christ and how Iwas in my marriage.
And I know who I am now and whatI was like after Jesus came and
overtook my life.
I speak with great boldness andmy wife knows and she
understands and it attracts herand it makes her feel loved.
It makes her feel special.
Not the most beautiful woman inthe world.
That is not your goal.
(24:27):
Ladies.
Your goal is to look like Jesus.
Your goal is not to look likecosmopolitan, teenagers, listen
carefully.
Young ladies, you better listen.
You don't want men to lust.
You.
You want a man to love you.
(24:49):
You're not a Virgin in thisplace and you're not married.
God has mercy for you.
If you get understanding, you'renot judged.
You're not condemned by amessage.
If you are a version, why don'tyou treasure that and understand
that God gave you a little layerof skin inside your vagina
called a Hyman.
And it's intended for one man tobe broken.
One time to secrete blood bloodin the semen, blood covenant.
I love you.
(25:10):
We're married.
It doesn't grow back.
Unless something supernaturalhappens.
Who made man and woman, do youthink he just put that in there
by happenstance?
Or do you think it has greatcause and reason we're on the
streets as young kids saying,Hey, did you pop or Terry?
Hey, was she a Virgin?
Hey, did you take her virginity?
(25:31):
Like we're boasting in it as ifit's a trophy.
Come on.
Y'all know I'm right.
And young women get deceived andthink cuz a man wants her.
She's all that you ought to hearhow we talk in the locker room.
You don't have to be all that.
You just have to have the rightstuff.
(25:52):
I'm sorry.
I'm not more romantic, But I'venever saw anybody sleeping
around trying to find theirvalue through men or women that
was ever truly blessed andshining the light and
multiplying and manifestingsomething people wanted.
Am I okay?
(26:14):
Oh, I sure didn't see this onecoming
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Speaker 2 (26:21):
You can't tell me
there's an area in our lives.
That's exploited and focused onmore than what I'm talking
about.
It grabs you from a tiny littlekid man.
You're you're you're yourelementary school.
And you notice your teen, yourteacher, guys.
How many of you had a teacher?
Were you in fourth, fifth, sixthgrade.
And you grilled her and youlooked at her and you thought,
man, she's hot and you were akid in elementary school.
(26:43):
Be honest, man.
Be honest, raise your hand.
Don't be afraid.
Your wife's gonna leave ya.
be honest.
I remember I had an algebrateacher.
I was failing cuz I was lookingat her.
Why?
Cuz why?
I was 11 when I was 11, I founda porn magazine on a railroad
(27:05):
track laying folded up on arailroad track on a Sunday
afternoon, taking a walk 11.
That was my introduction to pornand I was never addicted to it.
I never grabbed it and fed onit, but it, it marked me.
It contaminated me.
It put it, it aroused somethingthat Adam put in me.
Don't you tell me, God made usthis way.
(27:26):
Don't you say this was therefrom the beginning.
Adam didn't come out of hissleep and go, whoa girl.
Let's get it all watch.
I hope I'm okay.
He's not walking through thegarden with an erection going
Lord.
Everything's cool.
But I don't know about this.
What should I do with this?
Oh, let me help you out son.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Woohoo.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
I'm sorry.
That's not how it went down.
He put Adam in sleep and hereached into man.
He did not make another lump ofclay.
He reached into what already wasin him through one breath.
(28:14):
He reached into man and hebrought forth the woman out of
man.
So he reached into the fullnessof God in man and brought forth
the woman.
So man had an avenue ofexpression of the fullness of
God and somewhere to love, notneed, not want, not love, lay
(28:37):
down my life to bring out yourhighest best.
All that is mine is yours.
That's from the beginning andit's speaking concerning Christ
and is church.
And it's a divine mystery andwhat God has joined together
(28:58):
that no one put a Sonner.
Well, brother I've been divorcedtwice.
Where would I go from here?
You get the message.
You find mercy and you move onand live changed.
Age your heart.
You don't carry the mercy spouseor spouses and you don't let
(29:21):
what you despise you are today.
You put it all down, call it alldead and let Jesus be Lord of
your life.
I've heard so many teachings onthis and I'm not mocking anybody
(29:44):
or putting anybody down, butsome'em make me chuckle.
Like we try to figure stuff outso much, but we gotta look at
the beginning.
Everything was pure and holythere's no lust in the garden.
They're naked and not ashamed.
Why?
Cuz they were so clothed withGod's glory.
They couldn't see their parts.
That's what we teach.
Meaning.
If they could see their parts, they'd be like we are no, they
(30:04):
were naked and ashamed.
Cause there was total innocencein the garden and there was
total selflessness and everybodywas love and in love they had
the pure ability to cometogether, but not the way we've
known it need and want anarousal.
And Hey honey, you know, it'sbeen like three days and all of
a sudden the wife is obligatedto make sure her husband is
(30:27):
taken care of.
And Hey, your body's not yourown.
Probably ought to go and open aBible and get out some communion
elements and cut your wife abreak and get a revelation of
Jesus so that when you do cometogether, it's wholly and
amazing in his presence, hoversover you.
(30:48):
And you're more aware of himthan you are her.
You see the boldness of myspeech cuz I know what I'm
talking about and I'm not beingarrogant.
I'm being real.
And I'm hoping to entice yourheart into some deeper
searchings
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Speaker 2 (31:05):
So you're not driven
like somebody that's lost when
you're really found so thatyou're not bringing the old and
trying to mix it in the new fairenough sexual activity between a
man and her wife is absolutelybeautiful and totally holy and
totally God, I'm not against it.
I think it's amazing.
(31:25):
But he said, don't let themarriage bed be defiled.
He's not talking about don'tbring your neighbor in, of
course not.
He's talking about don't bringyour flesh in you.
Don't slip off your spiritualjacket and say, Lord, we're like
feeling it right now.
You made her really hot.
Like we'll see you in a minute.
(31:50):
You go into that place in him.
When I learned this, it was themost beautiful thing.
My wife and I worshiping andinterceding for the world, for
the county, for our children, blessing our friends and we're
in the room, just praying andworships flow and in Jesus,
you're amazing.
And holy spirit, we welcome youhusband and a wife just seeking
and just heaven on the earth andyay.
You're filling the room.
(32:11):
God, we love you.
We perceive you land hands onyour wife and the spirit of God
overwhelming her and her Jesuskind of helping her down.
And she's just Jesus.
And you just worship in.
And next thing you know, she'ssaying, can you carry me?
Can you be with me?
Can you hold me?
Can you take me upstairs?
And I'm like,
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Oh Lord Jesus.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
And you're just
looking her in the eyes and
telling her how you see her andwho she is.
And it's the most amazing thing, cuz you're so overwhelmed by him
and you have the right to be one.
Even though you're two in yourunity, you see him.
We were designed to conceive inthat place.
(32:58):
Be fruitful and multiply.
He's not saying get it on andhave a bunch of kids.
He's saying fill the earth withmy glory, multiply the image.
You with me, Married couples.
(33:24):
We ought to just pray all thetime.
Huh?
We all just, he in Jesus, prayover your wives when you're
together, just learn how to betogether.
That way.
Let it be a spiritual thing.
I'm telling you.
There's something to step into.
That'll transform you.
And you'll wonder why you wereeven moved here.
Why it even was as a be watchSatan only counterfeits things
(33:46):
that are incredibly valuable andimportant.
Just think of the pot of gold.
That's waiting here on the otherside of the lie, that if he went
to this extreme to make such afuss over it and lure us in,
what do you think he's trying tohide?
(34:11):
So I don't ever wanna sell cheapagain, since I've been bought
with a pretty amazing price andI'm not for sale and my life is
not my own.
Yay.
Do you understand if we got thisas the church, there'd never be
an affair again in the church.
There'd never be improprietyagain.
There'd never be propromiscuity.
(34:32):
You, you would never again haveto pastor and realign the couple
that's not married yet.
Cuz they've already been thereand back.
And again, four couples in myentire Christian life that I
know personally as a pastor thatI've married in counsel four
couples in my entire Christian25 year life hadn't slept
together before they weremarried.
(34:53):
Four what's that tell you we'redriven by need emotion and we're
calling it love.
It's not a legal thing.
It's a holy thing.
It's an honor thing.
It's a laying down your life forone another.
(35:17):
Now I understand this.
Hasn't been taught well andclear.
Most Christian books onsexuality is the world with
Christian terms wrapped aroundit.
It's totally not that you'vegotta go back to the beginning
to find the truth before sin wasyou and I were born into Adam.
(35:40):
You must be born again.
We have turned that into abeneficial prayer.
That takes me to a destinationinstead of a transformed life
where the spirit of God nowlives in me and all things are
new.
We have turned it into blessingsprotection provision, cast my
(36:02):
bread on the water and pray.
Seven more loaves.
Come back instead of loving yourneighbor, loving your spouse and
manifest in Christ in your life.
Please, please, please, please,please.
As the church of Jesus Christright here without Wolf, don't
get deceived and miss the honorthat we've been given through
the bride of Jesus Christ.
(36:24):
You can surrender.
You can die.
You can get water baptized.
If they're good, pastors, they'll hold you under till the
bubble stop.
I don't know how they do it.
I'm just telling you how we doit.
We're in faith.
(36:45):
We figure if you don't respond, when we bring you up, we know
where you are and it's good.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Speaker 2 (36:52):
And if you respond,
we know we got new life.
We want to hit it home.
A contact point of faith.
We take advantage of the moment.
Just a joke.
Obviously Here's the beauty ofit.
You go under for one second insincere faith and step into
everything he paid for throughblood and tears and pain.
(37:14):
You step in to what he paid for.
When you do it sincere and giveyour life.
Does that mean you step intoperfection means you've been
made purified and then you workout your salvation with a
reverence before the Lord.
I'm not preaching perfection.
I'm preaching a pure heart thattakes you to where he paid for.
(37:36):
Don't let human experience.
Trump.
God's willingness to work inyour life by grace.
Don't compare yourselves amongyourselves.
It's not lies.
You're not following oneanother.
You're following Jesus.
So if I can't find it in hislife, I don't want it in mind.
If I can't find the attitude inhis life, I don't.
(37:57):
If I can't put the words, I'mspeaking in his mouth and make
it fly, then I want'em out ofmine.
Why?
Because I have new life.
Jesus, are you all with me thismorning?
Listen, I'm just stirring thepot loving good work.
So what's that look like?
Well, it's a marriage, apastor's biggest challenge in,
(38:18):
in ministry.
And he could sneak up on him andhe not even realize he's doing
it.
His biggest challenge is thatpeople, church shop and tons of
people have preferences.
And they're looking for certainthings when they're shopping,
like they look for clothes.
Rarely is the Christiansubmitted in prayer, asking God
where he wants to plant them.
Rarely is the Christian saying,God, where would you want me in
my community?
Where would you have me go?
(38:39):
They're usually church shopping, looking at personalities,
checking out worship teams, seeing how fun it is, how much
they like it.
And in time that could changeand doesn't seem as wow as it
used to be.
And next thing you know, you'removing on and you're never
really connected.
You're just floating aroundchurch shopping.
The biggest risk of this pastorright here, that he runs is
turning inward and just tryingto do better church where all
(39:00):
these seats want to be filled.
That is not the goal of anypastor where the kingdom's
concern.
The goal of the pastor is not tofill every seat it's to form
people in Christ and equip themin Christ so that they live
Christ.
When they're not here, there's agreat marriage between coming
and going.
If a pastor doesn't marry thetwo, he'll just do great church,
(39:21):
but we run the risk of neverbecoming her.
And all of a sudden you couldcome here for the next 30 years,
never miss a Sunday, get throwninto crisis and respond like the
man that never went to church.
Then we've accomplished nothing,cuz that's not why we're here.
There's a marriage betweencoming and going.
(39:41):
You have to be responsible forthis people.
You gotta do justice toleadership and people that are
moving here and getting behindthe calls and ready to run.
You run with each other.
You be of one mind and one heartand one spirit and one faith.
Right?
Look, there's so much diversity, but we can have one mind.
We can all wake up to shine.
You're responsible for thatmotive.
(40:01):
But pastor can't put that in youand make you do that.
You gotta wake up and decidewhat do I do with the privilege
of this day?
How am I gonna align my heart?
What am I doing with my will?
My motives, my life.
You see the whole reason wegather here, scripturally is so
(40:23):
we're stirred up edifiedfocused, clear, and crystal
clean and not deceived.
And we walk outta the store andhopefully look like and are
motivated to look just a littlebit more like him than when we
came.
And that doesn't mean we arguewith contention in the car over
where we're going to eat rightafter service, because you
always get to pick your way.
And when do I ever get to choosewhere I want to eat and see, we
(40:47):
get so desensitized and thinkthat's all so normal, but I
promise you, Jesus would neverhave that conversation in a car
and I'm not being legalistic.
I'm just challenging a fewthings.
Why is it so easy to haveanimosity in our homes?
Because we've become so familiarwith each other.
We've witnessed each other'sweaknesses and things.
(41:08):
And we aren't really impressedwith each spiritually sometimes.
But why don't you be the onethat's impressed with him?
So you live more impressive.
It just takes one, one inChrist.
I promise you as a majority, itjust takes somebody to start in
him somewhere.
I promise you, it takes two tofight to tango and I'm gonna
(41:30):
talk about a dance.
It takes two to tango.
It takes one to pursue peace.
We said it last night, I'llclose in this.
We said, who was that?
(41:50):
Who squeaked?
no, I'm I'm I'mfinishing.
I'm wrapping up.
I'm my goal is not to stay hereall day.
You got children's shirts.
You got things.
Listen, I'm here to stir you up.
I said plenty for you to go livein victory.
Right?
I said plenty for you to gomanifest Jesus, make peace in
your home and have an amazingmarriage man to actually come
(42:14):
together.
Maybe later in prayer and justJesus and his presence.
somebody just mightconceive in the holy ghost
today.
that'd be a good way tostart.
shore beach fornication, and one night stands and who's
your daddy.
(42:40):
I'm in so much trouble rightnow.
we see we're trying tomake it where Dina says never
come back.
No, I just kidding.
I'm kidding.
Actually.
I'm just gonna stop.
Listen, listen.
No, I am.
I'm done.
(43:00):
We, I, I know I'm done.
We can live the way I'mpreaching.
It's not, it's not out there.
It's in him.
It's not unreachable.
It's by grace.
It's not you changing yourselfto try to live what you heard.
It's you yielding to him.
He's the great Potter.
(43:21):
Allowing him to change youthrough, since you won't to
getting alone and telling himyou're done with stress and
strife and rightness andfrustration.
You never again wanna partakeand participate in the things
you always thought were normal.
You don't want your emotionalmakeup to revolve around a
self-centered will you want thewellspring of your life to be
the kingdom of God is at handand a selfless heart.
(43:42):
And you want your, your emotionsrealigned and you begin to com
com communicate with him and,and just give this back to him.
And you put off these things andyou put on who he says he is in
you.
And I'm telling you, you'resaved by grace through faith.
And every time you get alone andcommune with God and release
faith in the truth, grace comesto make truth, your reality, and
(44:03):
you didn't bite your lip tochange.
He's changing you and people seeit and people notice it.
All of a sudden you realize, man, I didn't react two months
ago that would've floored me.
And all I could do was cry forthem and see, oh my goodness,
Lord, you're doing it in me.
And now you're crying and youlove him all the more and you
can't wait to get alone.
I promise you.
(44:23):
That's what it looks like.
I'm either the most twisteddeceive man you've ever met in
your life or I'm onto something.
I got all my chips on ontoSunday.
We'll find out someday, but Iknow where I placed my chips.
(44:44):
You haven't lived with me forthe last 25 years.
I have, I know me a littlebetter than you and my speech is
bold.
I didn't wake up for youto love me today.
I didn't wake up for you to needfor, for you to give me
something I need or encourage meor fulfill me.
(45:05):
I woke up to shine and thatchanges my view of you.
And it empowers me to love youand never again just needs you.
Cause if I get to meet you and Iput an expectation on you, all
I've done is set you up to fail.
And then you're the reason I'mnot what I'm supposed to be.
Or I am what I am.
And it's sad because the wholetime Jesus is Lord, but I'm
(45:25):
letting this govern my life andI'm singing he's Lord, but I'm
living something different.
Don't you let one person, onesituation, one happening in your
life decide who you are or howyou are.
