Through the help of her friend, she learned about data science, quit her job, and moved to Denver to complete a 3-month data science bootcamp. Fast forward till today, Emily has been a data scientist at a multi-billion dollar San Francisco-based company for over 2 years and develops projects using optimization algorithms, machine learning, and statistics.

In this episode, Emily demystifies working in tech and makes it more approachable especially for those who don’t have a traditional background.
