Avery (00:00):
I want to help you become a data analyst.
This year, I have a goal to help someoneland a data job every single week.
That's 52 people in the yearthat completely change their
lives and pivot into data.
And I plan to document theentire mission with you guys.
I'll be calling thewhole thing mission 52.
And honestly, I'm pretty nervous.

(00:20):
I won't lie.
With the way the market hasbeen recently, this is a.
Pretty big goal and to be doing thismission in public, or if I fail,
you will all know, and you will allsee is a little scary, but it's one
that I feel confident that I can do.
And that we can do together.
You see, I've been helpingpeople land data jobs for my
full time job for four years now.

(00:41):
And I feel pretty confidentin what I'm doing.
In fact, as of recording this, which is about the second week in
January, we are right on schedule.
Ryan and Mason have alreadylanded jobs this year.
So, so far, so good.
And to make it more fun for you andfor everyone that I helped land a
job, hopefully you, I'm going togive you a prize when you land a job.
I'm going to highlight you ona billboard in Times Square.

(01:03):
And yes, you heard me right.
Just a huge billboard ofyour face in the Big Apple.
Just like I did with my student AaronSheena here, who landed a job last year.
We're going to tell your story and shareyour success with the entire world.
So if you want your picture and yourstory up in the bright lights of
Times Square, and honestly, if youwant to ruin me financially, because
let's be honest, billboards in TimesSquare, they aren't exactly cheap.

(01:26):
Listen up because here are the fivemain ways I'm going to help you.
Atlanta data job this year.
Number one, I will postthousands of data jobs.
I run a data job boardcalled find the data job.
com.
And every day I post about 30to 50 different data jobs on it.
These are jobs that my team and I findonline that aren't exactly the jobs you'd
find on say Indeed or LinkedIn jobs.

(01:47):
They're all on company websites, which just as a side note.
That is the best place to apply.
And there's a search filter,location, filters, a remote
filter, and even salary filters.
And the best part is it's a hundredpercent free and it will stay free.
This website actually costs memoney to run every single day.
So please just do me a favor.
And just use it, go to find a job.

(02:07):
com right now in your browser andjust bookmark it and use the crap
out of it because whether youuse it or not, I'm paying for it.
And so I would at leastrather have it help people.
If it's going to cost me money, I'mtelling you it's free and it's good.
I also run two other job boards.
One is a sports analytics job board, which is called sports analytics jobs.
com.
I know I'm very original with my names.
So if you enjoy sports and analytics, like I do check this one out, we

(02:30):
post data related jobs for athleticrelated organizations, all over the
world, professional teams, collegeteams, media, anything you can kind of
think of in the sports realm or post.
The other one is called premium data jobs.
com, which warning it is apaid service, but we find you
special data jobs that are.
So specifically for you, we find freshjobs that have low candidates that

(02:51):
always have someone you can reachout to and actually cold message.
So that way you have afoot in the door already.
I recently made an episodeexplaining this more in detail.
So I'll be sure to include thatin the show notes down below.
So you can check it outif you're interested.
Number two, I'm going to publish 52action packed new episodes, whether
you're listening to the audio versionof this podcast or you're watching
the video version on YouTube.

(03:12):
Every Tuesday, I publish aninformation packed episode.
That will help you grow your datacareer in just a few minutes.
Sometimes it's a solo show likethis, where I pick a topic that I
think all of my students could usesome insight on, but other times I
interviewed the best of the best dataexperts in the entire world, people
like Zach Wilson, Alex, the analyst.

(03:32):
Stat Quest or Cole Afflic, just to name a few.
Either way, no matter what, everyTuesday you'll be learning something
valuable in each episode and somethingthat you can actually act on.
I hate when educators and teachers justgive you the theory I'm all about, give me
tangible application and execution theoryis great, but only two justify the means.

(03:52):
These episodes have one goal and onegoal alone help you in your data career.
Number three, I'm going to besharing free educational content.
Every day, every day, you'll find metyping up a LinkedIn post for the 130,
000 of you that follow me over there.
That's not going to stop anytime soon.
So make sure you go findme on LinkedIn right now.
Hit the follow button and the bellicon so you don't miss anything.

(04:15):
Once again, I try to post applicablethings that you can actually do today
to land a data job more quickly.
No fluff, no crap, just helpful things.
Also be posting more on my Instagram thisyear, which I'm really excited about.
A lot of it will be behind thescenes stuff and stuff that
maybe I don't post on LinkedIn.
Also, if you are watching on YouTube,I post a lot on the YouTube community
page, and I encourage all of youguys to go take a look at that and to

(04:38):
leave a comment there as well, becauseI'm trying to personally respond to
every single comment I get on my.
YouTube community page.
And lastly, I do have a Tik Tok, butat the time of recording, it's not
really clear whether that's stayingor going inside the United States.
It's kind of up in the air.
So if Tik Tok stillaround, go follow me there.
But if not, don't worry, whateversocial media platform you use, you'll
find it in the description downbelow and you can go follow me there.

(05:00):
And I'd love to hear from all of you.
Okay.
Next number four.
I'm doubling down on my weekly newsletter.
Every Wednesday, I send outthe data career newsletter.
This is where I highlight themost important lesson of the week.
I do giveaways, I provide thedata job of the week, and I
share other helpful musings.
It's usually pretty short and simple.
It takes way less thanfive minutes to read.

(05:21):
And honestly, I think everythingthat I'm teaching in there, I'm
giving in there will save youhours of time in your data journey.
So if you aren't subscribed, go join the15, 000 other aspiring data professionals.
And subscribe, it's ahundred percent free.
And lastly, number five, I'll continuerunning the accelerator program.
Now as a heads up, this is a paid program, but honestly, it's quite a bit more
affordable than most other bootcamps.

(05:42):
If you didn't know, I run a bootcamp.
It's called the data analyticsaccelerator, and it's literally
helped hundreds of peopleland their first data job.
It's a 12 week programdesigned around my SPN method.
That actually helps you land a data job.
Of course, we teach the skills, but we also help you build projects
and help grow your network.
We teach you Excel, Tableau, SQL,Python, R, and Power BI by helping

(06:03):
you do real projects with sales, healthcare, education, sports,
manufacturing, financial, and HR data.
All real data sets from the wild.
We help you with your LinkedIn andyour resume as well as job hunting.
Plus we have live office hours everysingle week and a community that
you can literally post in 24 seven.
This has been the vehicle that has drivenmany to landing their first day at a job

(06:23):
and that will stay true this year as well.
So if you've been subscribed to my channelfor a while, you've probably seen just a
fraction of our awesome success storieslike Trevor Maxwell going from a printer
technician with no college degree tobusiness analyst, or Alex Sanchez going
from a high school teacher to data analystat seven 11, or maybe Aaron Sheena,
who was a music therapist and now is afinancial analyst at a fortune 50 company.

(06:48):
This program gets proven results andI'm excited to keep leading it in 2025.
If you're interested in learningmore, be sure to check out
the show notes down below.
Now, of course, with all this beingsaid, if I help you land a data job at
any point this year, please let me know.
You can just send me an emailaveryatdatacareerjumpster.
com and let me know.
And as your prize, I willhighlight you on your own personal

(07:08):
billboard in Times Square.
I promise there's notgonna be other people.
It's just you.
And literally Times Square.
There's no catches about this.
I'll pay for the whole thing.
But before any of that, Iactually need your help.
If I'm going to pull this wholething off this mission 52, I'm not
going to be able to do it alone.
I'm going to need yourhelp to get the word out.
Hitting subscribe, leaving a commentor resharing any of my content

(07:29):
is a really simple and easy way.
That you can help mission 52, itliterally costs you nothing and
it takes you less than 30 seconds.
So thank you already forhelping out this mission.
And I want to make sure I stayaccountable to literally the thousands
of you who are listening right now.
So I'll be documenting this entiremission, this entire journey in public.
If I fail, you will know, which is scary.

(07:50):
I'm very scared about that, butI want to share the reality that
you can land a data job this year.
Even in today's market, you can do it.
And so you can watch theprogress of these 52 individuals.
In three different places.
Number one, I'll have a websitededicated to Mission 52.
It's going to be datacrewjumpstart.
com slash mission, and I'llupdate that periodically.
Number two, I'll talk aboutthe progress periodically in my

(08:12):
newsletter, about once a month.
So you can stay tuned to thenewsletter to get the updates there.
And number three, I'll be sharing thehighlights of this Mission 52 on my
Instagram story so you can follow there.
So please follow this missionand share with your friends.
We can do this, I think.
