In this episode, Dawn & Eli talk about one of the most misperceived topics, what's abusive and what's not in relationships. The couple discusses when being in the heat of the moment, sometimes perceived abuse is based on a past trauma, making this not an actual act of abuse. This happens when past trauma has been unintentionally triggered by conversation from the other partner in the relationship regarding something unrelated. The couple also shares a recent personal story regarding this topic and how they have learned to better communicate proactively to prevent future traumas from being triggered in this way.
