Speaker 1 (00:00):
When people read that
book and they hit me up,
they're like yo, I've heard thisbefore because nothing new is
under the sun, right, but theway you put it, it just
triggered something in me, itunlocked something within me.
There's a lot of light codesthat I put in that book
intentionally, from my soul tohelp other people.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
So what are one of
them that you put in there for
those who haven't read it yet?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Well, there's a
chapter called what they eat.
Don't make you okay.
Yeah, it's okay how that skinglows.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
She's a true diamond,
with the world right out back.
She's still smiling, Never leftthat crown till she stayed
thriving.
That's it, that's all.
That's it.
That's all.
That's it.
(00:54):
That's all, that's it, that'sall.
Is that really it, though?
What up, what up, what up?
Welcome to.
That's it.
That's All.
You guys know me.
I'm Kasey Carnage, your host, and today we got Quiney Fourier.
You want to say hi, hello, what's up y'all?
Speaker 1 (01:14):
I'm so happy to be
here.
She's looking at me to makesure I said her name right.
I know You're so pretty.
I can't stop staring at you,thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
And today we're going
to get into her journey.
She is a spiritual entrepreneur.
She expresses herself lightlythrough creativity, through her
books, her podcasts, all thegood things.
Her book Spiritually Lit is atestament to her mission to help
people and release old burdens, embark on new paths and find
alignment with their authenticselves and purpose.
So let's get into that.
(01:42):
How are you today?
By the way, you're lookinggreat.
Thank you Looking great.
Thank you Looking fresh.
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I'm feeling fresh,
just touched down from Spain.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Ooh, she's traveled,
yes, she loves to travel.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
She loves a good
stamp.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Okay, well, I mean, I
was like I look on your page, I
love your page.
It always gives like veryuplifting, very like I'm here.
You should be here too and getyour life so let's talk about
your journey into, I guess, yourspiritual journey.
And why do you do the thingsthat you do?
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah, it's
interesting.
I posted something in my storyjust yesterday and it's a quote
from Picasso and it says I'mparaphrasing but it says, like
the mission in life is to findyour purpose and then, like, the
gift is to give it away.
And that was totally sorry, pablo, but you know what I'm
saying and I'm grateful to be inthis place in my life to know
(02:33):
my purpose.
My purpose is to be light, tospread light, to be joy and to
help others align with that partof themselves.
I think there's so muchprogramming that we get as we're
growing up, when we're kids.
We come here with thesebright-eyed, bushy-tailed ideas
(02:54):
about what life is andcreativity and joy and fun, and
over time we get conditioned.
You know, don't do that, oh,don't think that big.
Oh, you can't do that.
Like, no, be quiet, no, bestill no, get a job.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
And work at this
place until you die, and it's
just who says that that's thepath that we should take.
Now, if that's someone's path, like God, bless them.
However, I would guess thatmany people are walking on paths
that are not their own, andI've been one of those people in
my life.
You know all of us all have.
That is a, um, a definitely arelatable story.
It's like you, like you said, you come into the world and
you're like oh, I can do thesethings.
Oh, touch this.
That's hot, oh, that's cold.
And then you get to a certainpoint where I feel like the
world strips you down a littlebit so it's definitely, I guess,
your job as a human being anddeciding what you, like you said
(03:50):
, deciding on what you want todo and how you want to show up
in the world.
And here, you know, you know wetalk about, you know this
podcast is this podcast ispretty much an opinionated
podcast through life experiences, through the lens of black
women, through the lens of blackwomen, through the lens of
black creators, and how we showup in the world and what we can
do to enrich the world.
So when I saw your story and Imet you, I thought that was very
interesting, because people dostruggle with what their
(04:15):
spirituality is.
They struggle with is it a, youknow, a conflict with my
religion?
And I think that, like yourinterpretation of it, is light
being who you want to be and howyou want to show up, versus
saying, okay, well, god doesn'texist or this doesn't exist, and
most people think that they'rethe two can't exist at the same
(04:36):
time.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Right, I agree with
that.
I think that tapping into ourauthentic selves, that joy, that
is part of spirituality.
My book Spiritually Lit, as youmentioned.
When people read that book andthey hit me up, they're like yo,
I've heard this before Becausenothing new is under the sun,
right, but the way you put it,it just triggered something in
(04:57):
me, it unlocked something withinme.
There's a lot of light codesthat I put in that book
intentionally from my soul tohelp other people.
So what are one of them thatyou put in there?
for those who haven't read ityet Well, there's a chapter
called what they Eat.
Don't Make you Shit.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
That's heavily loaded
.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, maybe literally
.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
And it is quite
literal also because you have to
digest right.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Do you mean like?
Do you mean it in a sense whereit's kind of like I guess if I
had to interpret that, I guessmy interpretation would be just
because they're this doesn'tmean you have to be this that's
one way to interpret it also, let's say you're walking around
life with a plate like life'sbuffet.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
You can put anything
on your plate, right.
But sometimes people walk byand they're like, yo, you should
taste this because it'sdelicious, and I love the way it
tastes.
And you're like, okay, you putsome on your plate and you go
down a little bit further andsomeone else is like, oh, did
you try the this?
Oh, it's so good.
Put some on your plate.
And you go down a little bitfurther and someone else is like
, oh, did you try this?
Oh, it's so good.
Put some on your plate.
And so you just start fillingyour plate up with everything
(06:09):
that everybody else likes andloves, but as you eat it, you're
the only one that has to digestthat, right, and you're the one
that's going to have to shit itout yourself.
But what they eat, don't makeyou shit.
And what is on my plate?
(06:30):
What did I eat?
What?
Speaker 2 (06:32):
did I eat.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Who gave it to me and
who gave it to me, and does it
really resonate?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
with me, right.
And how does it make them feelwhat they ate Like, what they
looking like?
Right, you know, that's what Imean, like okay.
Well, when did you actuallyfeel like you started this
journey?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I am really blessed
and fortunate to have parents
who are both very awakenedspiritual beings.
So I came into this life.
I believe we choose our parentsand I chose intentionally.
My parents are so full of lightand joy and so, coming into
(07:13):
this world in this body, I had alot of good influences in that
I grew up in Moorpark, which isjust a suburb out of LA.
My family my dad's from LA, wentto Inglewood High stuff like
that so I would always come intothe city and my brother and I
my only sibling we were really, really tight.
We still are tight.
But he's transitionedphysically.
He's in the infinite.
He is everywhere, everythingall at once, and when he was
(07:37):
really young he passed away andbefore he passed away he had
some insights into his physicalexistence and his spiritual
existence.
He was very, very powerful.
I dedicated my book to himbecause it was through him
transitioning from this life andthe way he did it with such
grace and knowing that it wasawakening for me, I already
(08:00):
thought that I was like, oh, Iknow things about life and death
.
I feel kind of like I have agood footing, but that
experience completely rocked meand while it was shocking to
lose someone so close to youthat you love, I also feel like
he left me with such a greatgift and it awakened me to like
and I made him a promise that Iwould always continue to walk in
(08:21):
my purpose and to walk in mylight and to be the light.
I'm going to walk into a roomand leave it better than I found
it.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
That's amazing.
Now, you know, you know, youknow being.
You know.
How can I say this politicallycorrect without having to be
politically correct?
So when, okay, we're talkingabout you know being in a black
home right, maybe your blackhome wasn't as traditional you
said.
Your parents are likespiritually awakened in that
sense.
But, you know most of us.
(08:48):
We had hardcore religiousBaptists.
Yes, you know what do you callthem Episcopalians.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Whatever you call
them.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
We had those families
.
Most people will say will callus hippies, people that are
spiritual.
We're hippies.
What's the universe?
How do you feel like that hascorrelated you being a black
woman?
Have you had any challengeswith people like hey?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
what are you doing?
What do you believe in reallyexactly?
And I recognize that everybodyhas their foundation right and
they're utilizing that to makedecisions about how to move in
life, and I respect that.
And people always ask me, welllike, are you christian?
I said I, I love jesus.
I do love Jesus.
I believe that Jesus walked andI love the message that Jesus
(09:37):
preached and talked about inthis world.
I believe in many of theascended masters.
I love the messages that theyleft with us here on earth.
Now, religion is a man-madeconstruct and I personally, when
I talk to God and I talk toJesus, I talk to all of them.
I talk to Buddha, I talk toKrishna too.
(09:58):
I'm like, listen y'all.
I ask for support.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
I talk to whoever's
going to be there.
I ask for support, whoever issurrounding me, whomever you are
.
Yes, I talk to my ancestors.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
I talk to my angels,
I talk to the powerful light
beings that I know walked onthis plane, and I know Jesus was
one of those light beings abearer of light and love, and he
taught us that we're allconnected, and he taught us that
we are all brothers and sisters.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
We're all God's
children.
We all can exist at the sametime.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
We must and we must
support each other Exactly and
love each other.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
I agree, I agree.
So let's talk about yourpodcast.
What's the name of your?
Speaker 1 (10:40):
podcast.
Yeah, so my podcast is calledthe P's and Q's Podcast.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Okay, so what's
happening with the P's and Q's?
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Where spirituality
meets reality.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Oh, interesting.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Yeah, so we have a
lot of conversations similar to
this one.
I speak to different people ontheir journeys in life.
Whether they're business peopletriumph through adversity or
spiritual leaders Talk to peoplein the church.
I talk to people in the spiritside as well.
I'm actually rebranding it tothe Spiritually Lit podcast
(11:11):
because I mean the book isspiritually lit.
The retreats are spiritually lit.
I have a spiritually lit happyhour every second Thursday when
On Zoom, which you should be onthe April 11th one.
Yeah, send me the link, send methe link.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
I'll be here.
I'll definitely.
I mean Zoom and the internet.
Let you be wherever you want tobe Wherever you want.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Like literally, it's
full of these powerful light
workers and we support eachother.
I guide us through differentactions, so we were working on
our 2024 action plan and we allsupport each other with
everything that we do.
It's dope, so you do need to bethere.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Okay, so how many
people do you think attend these
events, these happy hours?
Speaker 1 (11:48):
It depends on the
month it's just growing.
I started it in December, socongratulations, thank you.
Like 20, 20 ish people for now,and every time it's growing.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Now isn't it funny
how, like, we set our sights on
a certain goal right and thenhow it's ever changing and
evolving, yes, and the nextthing you know, you have this
thing and you're like these ahamoments.
Now, one thing I would say Iwas like I.
I don't.
I don't think I'm heavilyreligious.
I do believe that I'm spiritualbut, like you, I do believe
(12:22):
that there's jesus.
Jesus, jesus walked um.
But I also feel like there arethings that are just
unexplanatory, and I believe inenergy big time yeah, um, and
the correlation between the twohas always been very interesting
and me be interested, um,already I can't speak has always
(12:42):
been very interesting to me.
So it's funny that, like, whenyou go and travel, do you seek
these teachings?
Are you traveling for fun?
Like I'm sure that you go outand seek certain things for
yourself.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Travel for me, is
spiritual.
I love the experience of beingin another region maybe there's
a different language, maybethere's different cultures,
different people, making newfriends, making new family and I
find that I learned this a lotof lessons along that journey.
You have different experiencesand I feel like wisdom and and
(13:21):
and awakening experiences beseeking me, like like aha can we
say something oh?
Caught it.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
I believe in deja vu,
so I know there's something in
in in the universe, becauseyou've really be sitting on a
corner one day and be like I'vebeen here before, I see you or
you meet somebody, you meetsomebody and it really feels
like like I really have a friendthat I met when I first moved
out here and we met and it feltlike it truly and to this day,
like I've known you before, likewe are so close in that matter,
(13:50):
it's like we have been throughlifetimes together.
Yes, yes, how do you explainthese things?
And you can't you can't youcan't explain these things.
Yeah, like it's definitely apath, it's a journey, it is so
do you?
Think like you'll like, do anyretreats.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
I have a retreat.
I have a spiritually litretreat coming up in September,
september 20th.
Time out, time out, time out.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
This is going to be
what episode is this this is
going to be later After.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
September.
So just talk about it.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Yeah, okay, just talk
about it in its generality,
more so than the date, than thedate Okay.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
So I have a
spiritually lit retreat in Tulum
, mexico, that I'm doing, andit's five days and it's full of
workshops, one-on-ones with me.
I mean, we spiritually list,we're gonna have some fun as
well, but it's gonna be a deepexcavation into the soul, really
diving into, like, the healingside of the forgiveness side,
(14:46):
the, the.
What is what?
What am I doing here?
Speaker 2 (14:50):
like how am I showing
up?
How?
Speaker 1 (14:52):
am I showing up?
But like, why did I come here,to this body?
I believe that we all made acontract with ourselves, a soul
contract, to decide to incarnateinto this body, to be in this
fabulous vessel okay but for why?
for what purpose?
And I believe we all made thisdecision.
We may or may not remember whatthat reason is, and I think
(15:15):
tuning into that helps peoplefigure out like, okay, now you
can step and walk in yourpurpose, in your truth, in your
authentic self, because you knowwhat you came here to do.
So you can do that without fear.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
That's what's up.
So, like, what is your okay?
I hate to say this because it'snever an end game, but what is
your like end goal?
Like, what would you like ifyou there was an achievement
that you're just like okay, Idid it, I I this, this is it.
What do you think I'm?
Speaker 1 (15:40):
here, I've arrived,
I've arrived.
I I'm a Virgo, so I'm such aperfectionist and I'm always
making goals, and I've learnedthat I'm constantly arriving.
So I released Spiritually Liton my birthday last year.
I'm releasing a new single inmusic.
Most people don't even knowthat I sing.
(16:01):
It's called Good Woman.
Be on the lookout for it.
It's fly and I'm constantlybirthing these visions, these
downloads.
I cannot take credit for it.
These are God.
God is using me to just spreadlove, joy, inspire, and so I'm
constantly, constantly birthingright, constantly arriving, and
(16:25):
I don't have an end.
All I'm going to always bearriving.
Now I do see myself having atelevision show and that's going
to be a moment.
I'm definitely going to pop abottle on that, but I stay
popping bottles.
Okay, that's what we do.
I love bubbles, spiritually litand popping bottles.
That is the way to go.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
So before we go any
further, further, I like to play
games.
I love games.
Alright, we're gonna play.
Black card.
Revoked original flavor Xbigger, bolder, better and
blacker.
I'm sure I added an extra wordin there, but they all sound the
same.
We like big and bold, alright,so these are gonna be multiple
multiple choice questions andguys, we're going to see if she
(17:07):
gets to keep her black card ornot.
And here we go.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
I'd like to keep it.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
What?
The first question?
What classic song from the 1998Features Diverse?
This is, mr Big's, what theHell is Going On.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Mo ken steph,
remember mo can staff no oh,
your age is showing, my age isshowing.
I mean, I used to love mo canstaff.
Okay, but it's not Moken Staff,it's either A or B.
I'm trying to like Wait, whatwas A?
Speaker 2 (17:51):
I also feel like this
is.
I also feel like this questionis wrong and this is a typo.
Is it Blackheart revoke?
Somebody is getting fired, oh.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
I was about to say,
are they?
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Okay.
No, because you're not going toanswer it right, because the
answer is wrong.
Blackheart revoked.
Somebody is getting fired.
Oh, I was gonna say are theyokay?
No, cause you're not gonnaanswer it right.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Cause you are right
cause.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
The answer is wrong
no, the answer is wrong.
I'm gonna have to look this up.
Wait, no, tell me what you'rethinking.
Okay, so I'm just gonna giveyou this question, cause this is
a bloopers.
I'm sorry, blackheart revoked.
I'm gonna have to revoke you onthis.
It's on what classic song in1998 features the verse this is
Mr Big's.
What the Hell is Going On?
It's saying that the answer isFriend of Mine by Kelly Price.
(18:28):
But this is definitelycontagious.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Oh, that's definitely
not.
Yeah, definitely not.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Although we're going
to have to look that up, because
now we're going to have to playthat song Right?
Speaker 2 (18:37):
no, no, friend of
Mine, you are friend of mine.
That does not even have.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Ron Isley in it.
No, ron Isley on that song, nowhere.
I was like wait, this is wrong.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
So Blackheart revoked
.
Well, actually, whoever wrotethat might keep their black card
.
No, they don't keep it.
The editors will edit it wrong.

mirror.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
I don't want to scare
you.
What was that?
That was a one, that was three.
Speaker 2 (19:24):

So, before we wrap up, I'd liketo thank you so much for being
(21:31):
on the show and giving us someinsight of what it is to show up
the way you want to show up insuch a positive way.
Thank you for having me.
I like to end my shows off witha little message to either your
younger self or the people outthere.
Um, what would you say tosomebody that is looking to show
up in their purpose, show up intheir light, and if they're
(21:51):
struggling to do so, what advicewould you give them?
Speaker 1 (21:54):
no, I love that the
first thing I would say is to do
the hard work to to look in themirror.
It's uncomfortable but it'svery necessary.
It involves kind of the thingswe're talking about doing that
examination, taking those thingsoff your plate that don't serve
you, shedding those layers.
(22:16):
And then I encourage you tofollow your joy path.
When things excite, you, dothem, no matter what.
Allow your heart and yourspirit Follow your joy path.
When things excite, you do them, no matter what.
Allow your heart and yourspirit and that childlike
innocence in you to guide yourpath and it will start to light
up in front of you and when itdoes, walk on it.
And it might be uncomfortableat first and it might be a
(22:38):
little bit scary, but I promiseyou when you get down that path
and you look back you'll be soglad that you did.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Okay, okay, now is
there anything else you want to
share with us about yourself?
There's so many things.
Where do I start?
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Wherever you want to
start?
I'm just.
I'm proud of myself.
I'm really grateful I had areally rough 2021.
It was really bad A lot ofdeath.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
I got divorced,
