Martin en Marissa zijn getrouwd en de ouders van twee dochters, Sohpie van 5 en Ninthe van 2 jaar. De jongste dochter heeft syndroom van Down. Het downsyndroom is een aandoening waarmee je wordt geboren. Mensen met downsyndroom hebben verstandelijke handicap, ontwikkelen zich langzamer, hebben een ander uiterlijk en er ontstaan vaker medische problemen.
We gaan in gesprek met Martin en Marissa over hun gezin en wat het betekent om ouder te zijn van deze dochters en de bijkomende zorgen rondom Ninthe.
