So some first last time, last time game your booty special,
the Carnival Limited edition, the cultural ambassador of NEC.
In Miami, Sorry. From Chicago, Instagram does

(42:43):
that now. So.
Yeah, so. So to introduce Kylie, let's do

(43:28):
it. We're going to play something,
yeah. Welcome back, Hennessy to
Sunfest Music 2025. Get your tickets now at

(43:58):
www.sunfestmusic.com. Before we start I have to say
the intro was not supposed to beso long.
I know we kept you sitting for like a long ass minutes, so

(44:18):
sorry about that. I was tracking.
Did you understand anything you said?
I I got contacts, you know. Of what we're talking about.
And some of the words were English, so I was like all.
Right. Yeah, so.
All right, tell us about yourself.
Like who? Is Kylie.
So, Kylie, I am a model, an entrepreneur, and I am your

(44:39):
Miami Hennessy Culture Ambassador.
That's big culture. Ambassador means a lot, right?
Yeah, yeah. Because Hennessy is all about
the culture, but I'm one of those people that helps to
connect the brand to the culture, especially down here in
South Florida, so. I have to say I've seen her at
AI had a few events before. That's the first time I've seen
her. She was walking, it looked like

(45:01):
she was floating. I'm like I'm being dead ass like
she was floating. And I turned to I was about to
DJI said who the fuck is that girl?
Who the fuck is that? And then a guy told me like, oh,
she she used to be some big timemodel.
She. Used to be.
Not just like, no, no, like likeyou were like.
I don't model. I don't model as much but I
still do sometimes. I used to be full time with it

(45:22):
like globally but now. And I fig I figured you were
with Hennessy 'cause there was like a big Hennessy thing where
your table was at. Uh huh.
Yeah. And she was like with 7 girls on
the table. I was.
Like, Oh yeah, wow. We hanging out with them What
the what's going on you? Can come with us.
You can come with us too. You know you're always invited
to the table. Going there next time I'll save

(45:42):
me some money and drink some Hennessy.
I always invited. Yeah.
Both of you come on. Every time, yeah.
So, all right, So what was your, your, your career before meeting
an AC and doing partners? Your only modelling.
So when I moved to Miami in 2012, I came to personal
modelling career and I always have been in the events

(46:05):
industry. My mom was an event planner, so
I kind of was looking for work, right?
I'm modelling is an everyday joband I discovered being a promo
model and my first job was a Hennessy promo model.
So I was, I did that for about two or three years and I was
representing the brand as their model.
And then I kind of started working my way up into more the

(46:28):
corporate side. I was leading the events,
putting the events on, doing thesponsorship for events.
And then just last year, they came to me like, you should
actually be an ambassador for usbecause I've been immersed in
this brand for so long. And yeah, I was going to say 22
after today's ISM is a minute. Yeah, I know a lot about the
brand and it's it's the first time I've ever became a promo

(46:48):
model was with this brand and I understood it a lot.
I had to I had to be able to speak to it often.
So it's only right. And I'm I'm really excited to be
able to represent this brand that I've loved for so long.
So it's dope. Well, I have to say I am really
happy that Hennessy is now integrating themselves into the

(47:09):
our Haitian nightlife or entertainment because back home
flexing is drinking Hennessy. Yeah, it's a big deal.
And actually, I'll be honest with you, I'm surprised it took
them that long to come into our world because back home it's a
it's like, you know, here in America, it's like campaign.
It's like, you know, like don't be or whatever it back home is.

(47:30):
Hennessy is like, I mean, you'rebecause most people drink rum
and if you're drinking Hennessy, that means, oh, you got it like
that. So Hennessy is part of our
culture. So we welcome you guys and we
waited a long time. So welcome to the I love that
Haitian side of, you know, eventplanning, social life and
everything. And we're super excited to have
you and you work with us last year, right?

(47:52):
I was at Sunfest last year. Yeah, that we, I'm talking about
something. Yeah, it was so fun.
The energy was crazy. I, I feel like I learned new
songs. You know, I brought a lot of my,
my Haitian girlfriends out with me.
You had fun. Oh, my goodness, they had a
time. They were waving their flags
like we were dancing all day. It was, it was such a good time.

(48:13):
So I was really excited to just have that experience and now I'm
excited to do it again. She was there.
I remember she. Yes, I went as the culture
ambassador for Hennessy. Yeah, because.
You guys had a little, we had a,a red Ding.
Uh huh. With the with the cocktails and
everything. Exactly.
So we were sampling the different cocktails our our
Hennessy margaritas, which are very versatile and we've been

(48:34):
making really good margaritas and Berry mojitos.
So we really just wanted to introduce everybody to our, you
know, made from more lighter, brighter, fresher cocktails.
And I think that it really stoodout for everybody.
You know they were on only. Fight Ball I was.
I was on stage hosting. But he said I wasn't working, I
was working too. You work at some fest.
OK, now I didn't know that. Yeah, I worked there.
They paid me what you. Are you on stage 2?

(48:56):
Right, right. That's what I said.
I just told him I was right. I didn't go around much to see.
I even had some of that. I even had some of their
cocktails. It was beautiful.
No, this this year definitely I'm I'm going to your booth and
and taste some cocktails. And talking.
About cocktails next week we're going to have some NEC McGarry

(49:17):
down the show. I think, I think by some sense
I'm going to be so drunk about Hennessy.
Like last last episode I drank the shit load of Hennessy and
today I'm like I'm like. Came and I saw like the bottle
like empty. I was like, what's going on?
What do you mean? What's going on?
You didn't watch the episode, but it's like you can.
You want me to send you the link?
No, but you didn't. Sound joke though.
Boy, I got a ton. I'm grown ass man.

(49:39):
He said I'm used to this. OK, I do this.
OK. But now can I mention how big
NAC as a as a cognac is in the Caribbean islands, in Haiti, We
definitely. In Haitian culture, even like
when I trap not to cut them off even when I travel to DJ other
places Haitians in general Hennessy is a is where we we

(50:01):
we're proudly like say, you know, I'm drinking hen seal me
all my people so so it's a big deal like where it's a big deal
for you guys to. Join us now, we have a special
bottle. I think it got introduced last
year or? Before, yeah, it's actually,
it's, it's being more introducedin the States now, but it's,
it's been around for a little while.
But we're we're, we're really trying to bring it back out into

(50:22):
the, the States and especially in South Florida because it is
that melting pot of Caribbean culture.
So I think it's only right, you know, I will say Americans are
really getting hip to Carnival culture and, and I love that
they're starting to get introduced to it.
So I think it's it's, it's perfect.
It's a perfect time I introducedthis bottle to more Americans,
but it's visible out there in the in the in the Caribbean.

(50:45):
Yeah, I love it. Yeah, it's beautiful.
The colours. Yeah, you got the colours, you
got the patterns. It, it aligns very well with the
Carnival culture and it just brings the Caribbean, the, the
creativity of the Caribbean people along with it so.
So you've been to some fest lastyear and I know NEC is trying
also, of course with that bottleand everything they're doing as

(51:06):
activations to get involved in the Caribbean culture.
How was that NEC experience froma event planner point of view
and partygoer? I mean, it, it was, it was
amazing to just go and just feelthat culture up close.
You know, I have so many friendsin the culture and whatnot, but

(51:28):
to be able to see everybody so proud of repping their flags
and, and singing the song so passionately, it was very
important for me to see. And I think Hennessy is just
really involved and they really want to be able to showcase
that, you know, these are our people too.
I think Hennessy really, I thinknot think I know that Hennessy

(51:49):
is very passionate about supporting those who support
them. And so it's really important
that we're going out and supporting that culture and
really showcasing ourselves and showing that we can give back to
the community as well. That's really big.
Tennessee's always been championing those diverse
communities, and that's why we're showing up at Sun Fest.
Are they for this year? So just like is the brand I

(52:12):
can't see are they are they super not only excited like the
expectations to be part of like the sun fest?
Is it like a long term thing or they're just like to try, let's
see. Yeah, trying to see where we fit
or are. You committed already.
Hennessy's been committed, OK. I mean, and just again, going

(52:33):
back to just the brand wanting to support these cultures, It's,
it's been brewing for a while, right?
And I think it's, it's authenticbecause it's like, OK, we're,
we're going back to our consumerbase and really understanding,
you know, who supports us. So it's, it's been something
that's being built. You know, I go, I've been, you
know, just like you, I've been traveling to so many of these

(52:53):
Caribbean islands and I see Hennessy everywhere.
And Hennessy understands that, you know, those those bottles
are going in the in the islands, you know, so why, why not go
back and celebrate the very people that have been supporting
for a while? And that's not going anywhere.
That's why, you know, rows like mine exist to showcase that the
culture is there and really kindof help to guide Hennessy knows

(53:14):
where it is. So I'm helping them to continue
to guide that. And it's a lot of people within
the brand that are also championing that as well.
You know, back at the mall, Hennessy office and the
corporate offices, they're understanding that the Caribbean
culture is really where it's at.So why not support always?
That's really great. It's long standing, don't worry.
Do I Do I get to keep the water bottle?
Of course, no, I have two. I have two, I have one, I have

(53:37):
one for. You.
So that's mine. Yes, I can get your stuff.
I really like the water bottle. I've been looking at it.
I'm like why didn't they put it here?
I'm already using this one so. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
OK, so this one's yours. I I got one of these feeds.
Everything on this side. Look, we got a flask for you.
Uh huh. We got it out.
We got a fan because it's hot out there at some fest.
Especially at some. Fat.

(53:59):
So we're going. To have those at the at the
festival. We might have some for our
select VIP. OK, very good.
We. Got y'all?
Yeah, I. Like it?
Why? Well.
You need that sometimes, right? Super excited about this and
I'm, I'm happy brands like Hennessy, which is a worldwide
brands and like big corporate, you know, companies are starting
to pay attention into the how Haitians, A diaspora Haitian,

(54:20):
how we for, for starters, how weappreciate these brands and we,
it's like getting recognition back.
It's like, it's like, oh, like, you know, oh, you, you notice us
now like that's really good 'cause we've loved you for so
long, I think. We're gonna love you back, yeah.
Right. It's, it's that reciprocal love
we got to show love to the ones that love us.
You know, that's why culture ambassadors exist because we're

(54:42):
really the ones on the ground making sure that Hennessy is
pointing in the right direction towards, you know, where true
culture is. So especially here in South
Florida, like we're we're all about Caribbeans, all, all in
South Florida. So it's really important that we
really identify with everybody that's here.
So yeah. So you've been you've been a
brand ambassador for for like for doing this for some time,

(55:03):
going to some fest. What, what would you say to
like, what would you say? What's the differences?
What do you think? What would you say really stand
out besides the what you mentioned already, the flags
like that. Yeah.
Like compare, let's say when yougo to other festivals or other
events. And then when you went to Sun
Fest the first time and you werelike, wait a minute, This is
this is some like if you can walk through US like your.
Yeah, personally, not Hennessy, just you personally.

(55:26):
Yeah, I've been to so many festivals, music festivals, all
types of festivals, right? And when I went to Sun Fest, I
saw how there was true passion in the people that were there.
First of all, just in some fest being on Virginia Key Island,
the historic Black Beach, that was one I was like, OK, the

(55:48):
location speaks for itself. And then 2 going and just seeing
the massive group of people thatwere just so proud and
passionate about being there. And then when the music started
playing, that energy was crazy like I was like, oh, that's what
y'all do OK, OK, You know, I I don't think I was ready, you

(56:09):
know, and, and that's what made me so excited.
I was like, well this is dope. But then I have my friends that
I brought and they were so into it.
I'm like, OK, OK, let me let me get with the.
Program, Yeah. Get with the system.
Yeah. It was really a really dope
thing to see. And, you know, I got a chance to
walk the grounds. You know, I was not only in the
VIP, but I was also, you know, on the grounds I got to.
I like to feel the energy, you know, and I, it was felt.

(56:32):
Trust me, it was felt. Now, now you're you're looking
forward to July 6th this year. Right.
I can't wait for it. Yeah.
To be crazier this year? I know and I'm expecting that.
Yeah, yeah. I'm not, I'm not.
I'm just saying that I actually admit that.
Yeah, I was. I was on the phone with with
them the other day and they werethey were like talking about
things. I was like man, no one, no one,

(56:53):
no one told me about this. This is moving really fast so.
Yeah. So and.
And we'll be having some some special activations happening
throughout the city as we lead up.
So look out for that. You know, we're still in the
works, but I will be posting about some of these.
We'll definitely I would love toinvite you all out yes, y'all

(57:13):
are invited to the tables. Of course, you know, bring your
friends. To your table.
Yes, of course. Why wouldn't you be?
Some fist I, I, I didn't even invitation.
I was going to go anywhere this year because we have friends in
common. Actually, we have a friend.
Jasmine went back to I was like, where were you?
She was like, oh, my friend at Hennessy.
So I'm sure it was probably you and your friends.
So she we have friends in commonand stuff like that.

(57:36):
We we're going to hang out that day.
Y'all got a comment? Y'all got a comment?
Yeah, yeah. What about Haitian food?
Have you had Haitian food? Not a lot, but I have been
getting introduced. I have been getting introduced.
So it's at the festival. You're sure gonna be hungry at
some point. Oh yeah.
You can leave it up to us and we'll take you to the TO.
Point me in the right direction, tell me everything that's good
and authentic that you recommendfor me to try.

(57:57):
I'm down. I'm.
Pushing good Asian food backstage too.
Fire Asian food, I don't know who's.
Cooking that shit not backstage.Like seriously, I think they
have like a real shift, not justlike someone's aunt cooking
good. But last year I was at a food.
Truck 5 course. No, it was the five.
Yeah, it was 1 crazy Haitian. Yeah one course, maybe what you
mean, but we're we definitely. And then I we're at personally,

(58:18):
I want to tell you the story of the music throughout the
festival. So it doesn't just to the bands
and yeah, the bands like, OK, sothem, this is what they
represent for us. This is the kind of music they
do. This is the influence they have.
So you, you have a different appreciation for it because if
you go there not you can as a language barrier, it might just
like, oh, they're doing well, but you know what?
You can do give me a playlist. Oh, the playlist.

(58:41):
Some fest just is there. I have to repost that shit, OK?
And Spotify. Oh, perfect.
OK. Check it out.
Because we have in Haiti, we have different, we don't have
like just one kind of music. We have our version of carnival
music. Then we have the traditional
compa, OK, Then we have our new,it's like Rabodai.
It's called Rabodai. It's like, I would say it's

(59:01):
like, you know, the Dominicans, they have Dimbo or the Brazilian
have the forgot what's it called?
But they're so it's our version of like typical like it comes
from the streets until it becomes like a whole corporate
thing. The people get sign and stuff.
And also a lot of Asians are aremaking denso music a full bits
and stuff like. That and then we have also we
have to mention the scene, whichis our original roots with all

(59:23):
the dunes and like how that's like, yeah, so yeah.
Bring bring the best of the bestin the industry on stage.
He's actually very, very popularin Haiti.
Oh. I've heard, I've heard.
This guy, he can't walk in the streets in Haiti.
I've heard well look what artists do I need to be looking
out for some fest. And some fest, yeah.

(59:46):
No. Why are you looking at me?
I don't know. Be looking out.
There's so many I don't even know where to start.
We have Fatima. Fatima's prefer she's a she's an
amazing, you know, young she andshe has a great vocals.
She looks good too. And she's had big hits.
So Fatima is one of them. We have to mention obviously the

(01:00:07):
big guys Kai device. Tony mix for sure.
Tony mix for sure. We gotta mention Crayola.
They do well every year. Oh my Andy.
I was gonna say Andy beats. Andy beats is like actually a
friend of ours. We saw him from literally like,
you know, they say from the basement, from his mom's
basement to I, I live that for him to like killing stage,

(01:00:31):
touring, killing stages. He's an amazing songwriter and
everything. So it's it's gonna be great
experience. Now that you're one, check.
Out the check out the playlist. It's created by DJ Bullet.
Bullet, Yeah, OK. Bullet's performing.
DJ Bullet's performing. So.
If the bullet is updating the the the playlist, but it was a
little bit poor for my taste. Sarah.
Of. Course I I think you should be

(01:00:53):
creating. I should be doing making the
the. Playlist, yeah, 'cause he
doesn't do anything during the day.
Can I get a personal Hennessy playlist?
It's a it's a pregame too. OK.
That's a nice shirt. We'll do it.
Love that, Yes. That's a nice shirt.
Sorry, I didn't mean to cut you guys off.
If I'm sure she's that Asian, why are you asking?

(01:01:14):
She looks, she looks Haitian, right?
Yeah, I, I feel like I got some type of island in my blood
somewhere because I feel like I look it, I feel it.
I just I'm not sure. I you look like just you, you go
to Haiti, everyone, no one will like be like who's this
foreigner? No one like everyone just starts

(01:01:35):
speaking Creole which you're like hey.
And it happens. It already happens and I'm like
English but. What what?
So what? What Haitian words do you know?
Besides, I guess you know sak pasi.
I mean, yeah, that I don't know many, though.
I don't know many, but yeah I know the sak pasi not.
Bully. Uh huh.
Yeah. Hey, fucking white clip.

(01:01:56):
We got a thick white clip because that's the only thing
people know. Like bigger white clip for that,
bro. OK, so Haitian music.
Do you know about the Kakapi song?
Would you? Would the remix of Burner Boy?
Come on, you know that one. You know that one.
It's like certain, it's certain melodies that like I understood
when I was at Sunfest, I was like, OK, I know this one.
I heard this one, you know, and I'm dancing.

(01:02:17):
But then I couldn't help but dance to everything because
like, fine, it was just everything was so good.
But it is, it was a few key songs that I was like, all
right, I know this one. I heard this in the parties and
stuff like that. So.
Yeah, we mentioned the Haitians, but we have a big international
spurster, OK, the fireball, firefireboy, BLM.
Yes, Fireboy is not sure. Fireboy.

(01:02:38):
Fireboy. He's a Nigerian Afrobeats
artist. He had probably one of the
biggest song in Afrobeats history.
Peru Peru. Peru wasn't bandanas.
Was good too. I think it was bigger.
They would have, they would haveEd Sheeran.
That really makes true So and bandana, he has a new one.
He's there. There's also big songs.
So we have him this year. Nice.

(01:02:59):
But you know we always have Internet.
Last year we had Sean CI. Don't know if you stayed that
long. Did you see Sean CIA last year
or you had left already? She was she about to close the
show? So you probably had left.
We had KISS last year. OK.
You know kiss, right? No, but I'm.
Cass is Trini, Dad. Trini.
He's Trini. Yeah.
Good. Man, you know what I'm I'm not
as good with the names of the artists, but if you if I hear

(01:03:22):
the music, yeah, I know the songs.
I'm real good at the. Song, let me go to the lineup.
Yeah, Cass is the one with with.He got really popular with the
song. Hello, Hello, Hello, hello.
Did I have? The OK sent me the lineup.

Look at actually looking lookingher mom.
Oh wow, that's crazy. Hello, Maggie.
She's not. She's from Chicago.
I know, but you know, you know, black people in America, we
don't always know exactly where we're from.
Did. You send that to Maggie?
Yeah. Now we kind of like lost.

(01:04:02):

fast. I.
Tried. For sure.
Wow. All right, so people can buy
this bottle right now. Or still.
It's on sale. Yes you can buy the bottle.

(01:04:23):
retail stores everywhere. They can find anything.
Exactly, Everybody might not have it, so definitely look out.
We'll probably we'll see if we can drop where we can find it
at, but it will definitely be available, especially during the
Sunfest Carnival season. We're really trying to do a push
for that, especially in the Miami market.
Miami Carnival coming up in October.
Yeah, for sure we're. Going to play a game with her.

(01:04:45):
Oh, OK. With her audience, see Abdullah
Creole. See what we're going to

How many tickets we're giving away, the five first people

(01:05:27):

Twitter yeah tag some fest and tagging AC as well.

(01:06:09):
NACUS, that's the that's the that's the yeah, tagging AC US.
If you kept up getting CK super step with a side the carnival
bottle you have AVIP pass standing it's going to be great.
Very good and excited about thatyeah, yeah, I'm.
Super excited about some fans this year.

(01:06:30):
I think I like it. I, I, I think we're, you know,
year three, yeah, year three-year 3.
So we're figuring out the difference between because we
started in Haiti. Like literally we, it was just,
we started in Haiti. It was just, yeah, it was just a
conversation. 2000 the idea started was born in 2016 and
then it took us a year to put ittogether and we launched the

(01:06:52):
first one 2017 but it was the idea was to have a real beach
festival where people actually like were on the sand oh that's
the best yeah yeah yeah and we. Had a better setting in Haiti
though, OK, because with the vision of Biscayne you still
have the beach. But in Haiti you like, people
can definitely go. Like you can, you can be in the
in the water looking at the performance.
That's so dull. Yeah.

(01:07:13):
And then, you know, we have no rules and regulations in this
third world country. They're like just going we had
no lifeguards. People came with with their
boats. Yeah, people came with their
boat. People stayed on their boats.
Enjoy watching the show. The.
Festival. Oh, that sounds like a time
they. Didn't want to.
They didn't pay though. I would.
I was like, yeah, I still need to pay.

(01:07:37):
But it was a really great time. Oh, I love that.
I love that. OK, wow.
Wow. So you brought us to the US
Three years. Yeah, yeah.
So. So whenever all of us were just
starting to come here more often, we wanted to do events
and stuff like that. But also it wasn't.
And and to. Continue to produce it in Haiti.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but and then but that's
how I did where the idea came from in Germany.

(01:07:58):
So we want to keep what worked, what our identity is, our
generality did to bring it here and blend it with what you guys
like to have here in South Florida and stuff like that.
So. Absolutely.
And Haiti is strong out here in South Florida, so it's only
right. Right.
I think so. I think we're dominant, right?
Yeah, that's the largest stationpopulation and just for South

(01:08:19):
Florida. South Florida, yeah, I said.
That you have New York and then Boston.
I think no, no, I think Boston and New York.
I think New York is third. I don't know New York or Boston.
I think I I still don't understand how Boston, like
Boston, is not that big of a city in general.
That's. The thing not the city of Boston
like the Massachusetts State because there's like, like I
have a friend who lives in workland and workland is like.

(01:08:40):
An hour away an. Hour away from from from the
city of Boston. I could never live in.
It's so cold out there. You're from Chicago.
You're you're used. To cold.
I'll never go back up north. Crazy cold bro.
Yeah, Boston's the closest to toChicago as far as cold.
I can't do it the. Haitians in Chicago we.
Have winners I don't. Know so many?

(01:09:01):
Not yet, yeah. No, they probably.
How is she going? To buy the.
How would you honestly this is safe Safeway I was the only one
that can really like monitor this look.
I already got the tag and she didn't see it.
Man, look. OK, so that's what.

bottle is unopened. He's not.
He's not OK. This one's.
On yeah, that limited edition you want to you want to keep
that on the bar now. So someone got the carnival.

If you have this bottle, you have a VIP pass.
That's I got a third one now. The tickets are flying.

Haitian culture. I genuinely love.

asked you when I met you earlier.

her what's what does Creole sound to her?

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
