And things like that. You need to have someone on

(53:16):
difficulty. It's important.

(53:39):
Yeah. You never know.
OK, let's go to let's go have some cocktails.

(54:01):
OK, let's let's. Do it.
It's 9:00. It's dude.
Yeah, let's go have some. For one hour we're going to
we're going to build broadcast live bro.
No, I'm not doing 4 hours fault.By the way, by the way, save the

(54:22):
date. We're working on something,
we're working on something. Save the date.
We're working on something simple.
Gadzilbert Napoli exto. All right, Frank.

(54:43):
Well, let's go the amazing Jacqueline.
Hi. Hello.
Hello, thank you for having me. I'm so excited to be.
Here I'm excited too, and I can.Wait to really enjoy the we've

(55:05):
got a couple of really incredible cocktails for you.
We're gonna make Hennessy margaritas.
We call it the Henny Rita, Yes. And then we have another
cocktail that we're gonna debut at some fest.
It's called the Hennessy Carnival Coco.
OK, yeah. NAC Carnival Coco.
Yeah. Yes, that's good for all my
coconut lovers. All right, so you're a
mixologist, right? Yes, and how do you become a

(55:27):
mixed solution? Right, right.
Is it because you were like justdrinking at home all the.
Time mixing everything together and find the.
Right taste. My career actually started in
the hospitality restaurant industry.
So my last job before I jumped into Hennessy, the world of
spirits, was actually as a cocktail waitress.
And I did that for for about 7 years.
So I got to really see how the bartenders take so much, I don't

(55:51):
know, they're so passionate and they're craft and how they
really just basically they're telling a story through a glass,
absolutely right through a cocktail that we get to enjoy.
So kind of seeing that finesse, it allowed me to have a
completely different appreciation for mixology and
cocktails. Yeah, because listen, I'm a DJ
and I've always said if I wasn'ta DJI would be a bartender
because I feel like bartenders just they live a special part of

(56:16):
the night or the the experience. So, you know, first of all, they
get to deal with people. Yeah, happy, sad, you know,
cranky, knocking in a good mood. And then they're talking, you
know, you get to talk. I've actually had deep
conversations with a bartender and a blue martini.
Yeah. And music was loud, but it's
like we didn't hear any music. It was just me and her just
talking about some live things. So I was like, I would be, I

(56:37):
would be a great bartender, I think.
I would be, I think you would. I think I would be a great
bartender. What did you create?
What would be your go to drink? That's a very good question.
So Lynn, you know, I just started getting into Hennessy.
OK. Usually, like everyone, I
started with vodka. Yeah.
And then we from vodka, I jump straight to tequila and then

(56:58):
until it's like when tequila, tequila, tequila.
But now I'm into Hennessy now. OK, we love that.
We love that. OK, So what do we have here?
All right, so for the Henny Rita, we're gonna use Hennessy
VS. And here I have the new Carnival
bottle limited edition. So very excited about that.
And of course, you can't have a Margarita without orange

(57:19):
liqueur, fresh lime juice and agave syrup.
Yes. Yes.
So those are the ingredients. So are we ready to build?
Yeah. So you're gonna do one first?
So I'm gonna make the first one and then one of you can make the
second one just so I can kind ofwalk you through, you know, you
want you to walk away knowing how to make one at home, right?
Definitely. Especially those people at home
because I had that friend who sent me a picture, he was in

(57:40):
front of Total Wine and saying that he was looking for the
bottle just to be able to make the cocktail with us tonight.
So at home they need to have like lime juice.
Yes. What are the ingredients so we
can tell them? So you can definitely find the
recipe on the Hennessy website. So the Honey Rita will be on
there, but you'll need Hennessy VS Hennessy very special SVS

(58:01):
fresh lime juice. If you can't get fresh juice,
that's OK, It's still going to be a good drink.
Agave syrup, because that's going to give it the sweet notes
to balance out the citrus. And then some orange liqueur.
So the orange liqueur can be Cointreau, it can be Gramagnier,
or it can be. Triple side by the way, so you.
Have different options. Yeah, yeah.
Do you know Gramagnier? The oranges they use, you know
where it's. From from Haiti.

(58:21):
It was from Haiti. It's oh.
It was inside of Haiti. And I don't know if they.
Stopped. They stopped.
They stopped because there was like a wildfire or something.
Yeah, I wasn't supposed to say that.
I'm sorry. Nobody.
Nobody's good. No, no, it's known.
It's known. OK, OK, don't cut it.
That's. Actually, the first Brandy that
I started with. So when I started drinking, my

(58:41):
friends actually used to call megrandma cuz I would sit at the
bar with a snifter of Grand Manier.
So that was kind of like my introduction into the world of
Brandy, cuz cognac is a Brandy. Strange.
Yeah. With Grand Manier, I know I was
a strange young person, I guess.OK.
All right. OK.
So Are you ready at home to mix and follow Jacqueline's lid?

(59:02):
Yes, let's do this. All right, so we're going to
start with some Hennessy. So the recipe calls for 2 oz.
I love using a jigger just to make sure we measure all the
ingredients, because you want a nice balanced cocktail, right?
Yes. And then the larger size of the
jigger actually measures 2 full ounces.
OK. So the big size?
Yeah, 2. Oz, the big size 2 oz and that's
exactly what you need. I'll leave the top off OK.

(59:22):
Then we're going to do three quarter ounces of.
Lime juice. Yeah.
So I'm going to use a smaller side and measure that out.
So it's going to be the line a little bit closer to the top,
not all the way to the top, but close to the top.
Then we're going to do some Cointreau, so our orange liqueur

(59:43):
and that's gonna be half an ounce, half an ounce, half an
ounce. So we're going from the largest
measurement to the smallest to make it a little bit.
So we do one big one. Big.
One big of this and half of this, yes.
Yes, you got it. You guys are with me.
Yeah. And then we're gonna add this
sweetener. You have it.
So we're just gonna do 1/4 ounce, not too much.
OK. And pour it in there.
That's why my drink be taking solong.

(01:00:06):
It's a process, you know. And put some ice.
And then we're going to do some ice because we got to shake it
up. I know the cube is a little big,
but we'll make it work. OK?
So you got to give it a little pop just to make sure that when
you start shaking, you don't want the liquid flying around.
So I'm going to give it a shake, all right?

(01:00:29):
Then it's ready. And then it's ready.
Oh. Smells so good.
Oh, OK. Yeah.
That's a good cocktail, and I'm gonna pour it in the glass that
I already put some ice in and I already garnished it for you.
Who would like the first one? That's the canine should have
the. First one and I added a little

(01:00:49):
Raspberry salt. Rinse.
It's a Raspberry over. There and just a little kiss on
the glass. Don't you want to wait for me so
we can choose a little bit? Yeah.
All right, so now you're gonna make one.
Yeah, I'm. Gonna wait for you.
Kylie. Yeah, I'm gonna make mine.
I'm waiting for you all right. So should I sit with?
You. No, this is actually.
Good. It's really good, right?
All right, there it is. This is good, actually.

(01:01:10):
Oh, shit. OK.
All right. OK, so see if you remember.
I'm gonna remember, but what I'mgonna do, I think it's better
for me to do it in Creole. Creole in world of people.
Perfect. So we got it.
All right, so Coctella any reader Coctella we set like this
full names to sit in ACL, which it is a NAC very special doing

(01:01:32):
NACVS. How do you call this No, no, no
what's? The name of like the
neighborhood of this. It's called a jigger.
It's a jigger, so maybe when yougo to your liquor store As for a
jigger, you'd need to have one. ND at home we're doing anything
like normal. If you're not jigger who play
psychopathic, you said duos DuosOK, it will be there if you con

(01:02:03):
here juice it one juice it one natural natural salimem, say OS
Li Elizabethan twoparty documente UN full.
Perfect. All right.
And then boom. And one more.

(01:02:38):
And then the. Yeah.
Got to have the orange liqueur so this one is quattro.
Yeah, but you can use grammar here if you want orange.
Or triple X. OK, so now you're done and then

(01:02:58):
you're going to put some ice in it.
Some. Ice.
But when I say. And then you put this here, you
pop it a little bit and then. Just in case I don't want to
wear and then you. Say it's done.

(01:03:21):
It's done perfect actually. One more.
So the secret. You just.
Yeah, the secret. Is how do you squeeze it?
Squeeze it OK cuz. Then yeah, why put alignment?
Can I do that? You can, absolutely.
OK. And then?
And then you're gonna strain it into.
This class, This class, perfect.Yeah, like this.

(01:03:42):
You're a professional now. I'm a professional.
You're a professional mixologist.
Beautiful. At.
Cheers my brother. Cheers man, you see it?
Expect. To try it, try it.
Let me see if you like it. It's really good.
It's actually really good. I'm not just saying that.
Wow, it's very refreshing. It's not like you don't feel

(01:04:05):
like getting hit by liquor. Like, people don't expect it.
They expect Hennessy cocktails to be so strong.
And but if you if you realize that Hennessy's actually made
from grapes, made from white wine, and then you realize why
the flavor is. You have all the flavors.
I can taste the lemon, I can taste everything.
All the ingredients. Should be really good.

(01:04:26):
It's really good. I'm gonna be drinking this at
the Are you coming to the festival?
Of course I'm coming. You're the one introducing the
new cocktail. Yeah, yeah.
I went last year and I had the best time.
It was amazing. And this was gonna be.
Better. Yeah, I can't wait.
So yeah, we're so excited. It's my birthday week too.
So that's the way we'll. Shout you on the.
Mic OK. OK, good.
I'll get you a Hennessy bottle, OK?

(01:04:48):
All right, you have to let you know.
I'll take it. This is.
Good. I'll share it with everybody.
Women one pill man, my boy. But I would where was he would
so alcoholic. Like.
Everybody has to try it. My bad.

(01:05:11):
This is good, right? Yep.
So we're gonna make the second one now.
Yeah. You make the second one
absolutely all right. This is good.
Perfect. You already get rid of the ice.
OK, so the next cocktail is called the Hennessy Carnival
Cocoa and this is a new cocktail.
And that's the one. That's the one you're
introducing. Yes, that's some fast mazique.

(01:05:33):
Absolutely. So we're very excited.
It's definitely a cocktail recipe that's paying homage to
the islands, which we love coconuts, right?
I'm a Caribbean girl myself, so we love that.
So very, very easy cocktail. We're gonna shake that up also,
of course, Hennessy, but it's yes, Hennessy, very special.
We're just gonna do 1 oz cuz this is gonna be very

(01:05:53):
refreshing. So for those that don't want a
super boozy cocktail, this is going to be a good one.
So small side all the way to thetop, and then we're going to do
a sweetener. That's another kind of
sweetener. Yeah.
So this is cane syrup, so more of like a regular simple syrup.
Yeah, and. We're just going to do half an
ounce, half an ounce, and then we're going to add the citrus,

(01:06:17):
which is going to be the lime juice, and we're gonna do half
an ounce, half an ounce. So from one to half and half.
OK, And then we're gonna add some coconut water.
That's coconut water. Yeah.
So this is harmless Harvest, OK?It's organic.
Yeah. I wanted to bring the best for
you guys. How amazing I.
Appreciate that. And it's gonna be 4 oz.

(01:06:39):
OK. So the larger part we're just?
Gonna fill up two of those. Yeah, exactly.
Oh, that's gonna be good. I already know that it's.
Gonna be a good combination. And of course, we're gonna add
the ice. A pastor padawab gade pumun Ki
brigade to get to some fest show.
I'm watching way in Grazeo feko telu and next week Padua buko

(01:07:03):
tela tagnu Padua fetchu warfare cok tela tagnu.
You might have a chance to get aticket.
I'm giving away tickets. Yes, you guys got to come to
Sunfest. OK.
We're going to shake it up. All right, OK.
And then we're going to strain. I like the color.

(01:07:31):
Beautiful. Of course there's different
types of coconut water. I just like this one.
Nice. Oh wow, if we I won't be the
different flavor salad. Very different flavor.
It's really light and refreshingall right.

(01:07:52):
Ready, ready. Actually, you see this, this is
something that you can maybe have by the beach and things
like that, yeah. A little bit lighter, more
refreshing. Both white cocktails.
But some alcohol, it's really nice.
You gotta switch it up. You gotta have different
options, you know? What's this called?
When you close this bar, no way hold.
On I'm gonna Bartenders gonna order I'm gonna.

(01:08:14):
OK, OK, OK, watch. You just do it.
So we're gonna role play. No, no, you do it.
To do it in Creole so I can steal the ingredients.
No, you do it and then I'm the. Customer, you're the customer.
So you just got to my bar and you're ordering OK, So I'm just
gonna put in. I'm gonna shelf right now I'm
doing. Let me get in character hold
please. Yes.

(01:08:41):
I thought outside I'm thirsty. Yes.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
