the world and then that's maintopic number one. And main topic
number two is going to be Marythe month of May with the
Catholic Church does with allthat stuff. So that you guys.
Yes, super. Okay, Tim,

Dallas Kelley (03:15):
you have a great radio voice.

Tim Stout (03:18):
That's not me saying it some. Oh, well, Dallas.
Appreciate that.

Dallas Kelley (03:23):
Rob Shaffer.
Well, Rob,

Tim Stout (03:25):
I tried. I tried that's years of experience.
gargling

Unknown (03:31):
hot dog.

Tim Stout (03:32):
Actually, that's, that's supposed or that's
processing on the soundboardright here. Rob. I can't that's
not natural. That's, that's whyI don't sound like this when I
give a homily. So, hey, there'sa lot going on in the world.
There's a lot going on theworld. There's a lot going on in
the US. There's a lot going onin Scott County and in in our

(03:53):
parish, too. Yeah,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (03:54):
way too many.

Tim Stout (03:56):
It's kind of crazy, right? Yeah. So who wants to
start?

Dallas Kelley (04:01):
Well, my current event comes from a Catholic news
agency.

Tim Stout (04:05):
See and a

Dallas Kelley (04:08):
Twitter briefly suspended last week. Francisco
who's a chainsaw say his lastname, a member of Spain's
congress of Deputies. Because heposted that a man cannot get
pregnant.

Unknown (04:23):
daughter

Dallas Kelley (04:25):
and he was suspended truth. Facts old case
anybody's listening. I'm here totell you a man cannot get
pregnant. Well,

Tim Stout (04:37):
you probably don't have a blue checkmark on
Twitter. You probably have a

Dallas Kelley (04:40):
Twitter account, but I'll tell you how little I
know about this stuff. What's ablue checkmark?

Tim Stout (04:46):
Oh, Dallas,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (04:47):
Dallas, we need to fish.

Dallas Kelley (04:51):
Who's that john Carter,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (04:52):
Mr. JOHN Carter. Just call in and when
would you do that? Does he havea big boat who has a big boat.
Both of them a big boat but

Tim Stout (04:59):
his is only a two person boat.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (05:02):
I think it's two or three maybe. So

Dallas Kelley (05:05):
you could fit three of mine, but you know,

Tim Stout (05:07):
that'd be crowded. So yeah, the blue checkmark, blue
checkmark means that you'relegitimate person. Okay, so that
you've, you've get enoughfollowers. And then they put
this they, they verify theycertify that you are who you say
you are. So those people areprobably held to a little bit
higher. I don't know. level thenewer me, because I mean if we

(05:31):
say some stupid and they deleteour account, who cares? right if
you get banned? I mean, what areyou gonna do? You're not gonna
do nothing.

Dallas Kelley (05:40):
Right? But he didn't say anything stupid. You
gotta eat.

Tim Stout (05:46):
Well, that's all now kind of relative. Right? Yeah.
So that happens a lot. That'sthe whole world woke is do I
have done my saying that rightthe woke, culture woke, woke.
Woke. were things that have beentrue before no longer true. Now
they are. Whatever, whatever youwant. Whatever. Yeah, whatever

(06:09):
we want it to be whatever theperson wants it to be. So yes,
man, can I get pregnant? Youhave a carnival over there,
Potter?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (06:17):
I don't know. I don't have one that you don't
have too many going on.

Tim Stout (06:20):
So there's a lot going on in the Middle East.
Let's let's talk a little bitabout that. Right. That's some
crazy stuff going on sir.
newsflash, they've been fightingin the Middle East. Or, what?
3000 years and years forforever? Since eight. Well, how
long ago was Moses or Abraham?
Does anybody can anybody give me2000 years since Jesus? How many

(06:42):
years?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (06:42):
2000 years before that 4000. before them?

Tim Stout (06:46):
Yeah. So they're still fighting?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (06:52):
Do you know how small that piece of dirt is?
Yeah.

Dallas Kelley (06:55):
Smile.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (06:56):
Very small. You

Tim Stout (06:57):
know, I did. I did a little research on that. Because
I like to kind of keep meinformed. And one of the things
I was was curious about is this, this transition? Obviously,
Israel didn't exist before WorldWar Two, right. So that was
created and it was created on apart that was Palestine before.
But it goes back to the Bibleand Moses, Moses, but Abraham

(07:19):
and his two sons, right? Isaac, and ish, ish. So if it goes back
that far, and they're stillfighting about it, I don't think
it's ever going to be solved.
I mean, I just don't think it'sgoing to happen. I mean, it's,

(07:40):
and I saw something the otherday that it was a meme. meme. So
you gotta be careful with thesethings. But it said, if if
Israel threw all their weaponsin the ocean,

Dallas Kelley (07:54):
yes, obscene, there would be

Tim Stout (07:56):
there would be a massacre, right. And if the
Palestinians threw all theirweapons now, the Palestinian
star is not the Palestinians, itis Hamas. If Hamas, there are
other weapons in the ocean, there would be peace. So it's
really just how you look atthings, you know, everybody can
spin it a different way. But inthat, in that, really what's

(08:17):
going on in the world today, that kind of summarize
everything.

Dallas Kelley (08:22):
You're talking about spinning things, yeah, no

Tim Stout (08:24):
spinning things, you spin things the way to your to
your desired outcome. You, youredefine words truth, a man can
become pregnant, because youwant to justify some position or
something that maybe benefit youor benefit somebody, you know,
or, or whatever. And it doesn'tmatter about the other people

(08:47):
that it may affect in a in anegative way. So nobody has
anything else to say about that.
That's fine.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (08:56):
The idea when you remove the objective truth.
What do you have left?
Everything goes.

Tim Stout (09:06):
Yeah, truth. People like to redefine truth about
capitalism, talking about whatwords mean, right. we redefine
words.

Unknown (09:17):
I don't know.

Tim Stout (09:19):
It's gonna be hard for our kids growing up, though.
And the next couple generations,I think it's gonna be tough.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (09:25):
Oh, I have something I did not know. MIPCOM
can be a current affair. Yourthere was a a voting to go back
one year. You heard about that?
in Fayette County, in theschools in the school?

Tim Stout (09:40):
Yeah. So you could you and I think Scott County to
not mistaken. Somebody. Maybeyou can comment on this. I do
believe that they had the sameoption in in I think it was a
state law that any student thatfelt like that they missed out
on something could redo the yearwith no penalty. No should ask,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (10:01):
is it pass?

Tim Stout (10:02):
Yeah, no, it's done.
You had to. You had to registerfor that though. I think I might
have that wrong. I might beconfused in that, but it
definitely wasn't fake County, but I thought it wasn't in Scott
County as well.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (10:13):
So that's interesting.

Tim Stout (10:16):
Taking the implications on athletics,
right.

Dallas Kelley (10:18):
Yeah. So john Carter says he has a 13 person
pontoon boat. Well,

Tim Stout (10:27):
that's either a lot of fishing or a lot of beer.
decide which one that is.
pontoons usually have a lot ofbeer. So we had to take your
boat because you got the fishfinder.

Dallas Kelley (10:39):
He's got a fish finder on his pond. Okay,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (10:41):
maybe he does.
Have

Tim Stout (10:43):
you been fishing with john before?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (10:44):
Yes. I haven't taken the boat yet. But one
time, we did try to say we wantto do this show on his boat.

Tim Stout (10:52):
Yeah, we think about that, Steve. Is that a one
camera? It'll be a one camerathing. I mean, you could just
shoot B roll the whole time. Wecould talk you could use like a
boom, mic, catch everything.
We're saying? Post editeverything that would be that
would be fun. It would be funfor everybody. But you. We still
should do that. Now that we'rein summer. COVID is over. I

(11:13):
mean, let's face it last yearCOVID happened? We could. We
could have done that if wewanted to. I guess we could have
but we've been breaking a lot ofrules. So speaking of speaking
of rules, even the CatholicChurch is not immune from
controversy. What do you allthink about this Holy Communion
debate for politicians? Man. Sothe all the bishops, according

(11:37):
to this letter to the Vaticansent a letter to the US ECB and
said You all need to discusswhether or not to what's the
right word, I'm looking forcensure or say something
negative about or refusecommunion to a politician that

(11:58):
is pro abortion, you need todiscuss and agree right deny,
you need to discuss and agree onthat before you take any action.
Is that right? I got that.
Right. I'm gonna summarize that.
Maybe you've been on? You'vebeen on vacation this week. So
but have you heard any of thiscontroversy?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (12:14):
Well, I heard on rebel relevant radio. We've
had to do Nancy Pelosi andBishop colione. Corley Oh, you
got to say like deca

Tim Stout (12:27):
coriell. Corleone. So

Fr. Linh Nguyen (12:29):
yeah. And like I said, I was not part of the
read the whole central thing.
But basically, the relevantradio was critiquing that Nancy
Pelosi. She read in a twist, like we mentioned earlier, that
what she doing is okay, the backand say is okay,

Tim Stout (12:53):
yeah, she's she's interpreted. It's fine. I'm
good. I'm going to Communion.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (12:58):
So no worries.
Yeah, the bishop refute thatback and then saying, if you
think what Vatican say is okay, then you admitting you screw up?

Tim Stout (13:10):
Well, he wrote, I guess initially, what kind of
spurred this whole thing is hewrote a letter, and then super
carnal sewage, wrote a letter tohim. And so there was some
dialogue going back and forthbetween the bishops. I think we
maybe talked about that twoweeks ago. That's kind of when
and all that started. And nowit's just got to the point where

(13:31):
these politicians are just goingto do what they want. Because I
mean, you know,

Dallas Kelley (13:35):
I've been doing anyway.

Tim Stout (13:37):
Right. But, I mean, we've we've talked about, not
Nancy Pelosi, but we've talkedabout refusing communion.
Obviously, we're never gonna dothat. We're not gonna do that in
our parish, right? Just not notgonna happen. Doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter. If Nancy Pelosishowed up here, she's gonna get
communion. Because we're notgoing to call this controversy
in our in our parish. Do youagree or disagree with

Dallas Kelley (14:00):
Nancy Pelosi get my line? And

Tim Stout (14:06):
would you recognize who I was, she had a mascot,

Dallas Kelley (14:09):
I was gonna make a joke soon as you say, Would
you recognize but I better not.

Tim Stout (14:16):
I mean, we've had politicians come you got to talk
a

Dallas Kelley (14:21):
lot of people keep saying it's, it's if you're
denying if you mean you're doingit further so and you know, you
get into the hole. Oh, I can'tthink of the word. But if you
deny if you do deny it, you'redoing it for them. It's not a

(14:41):
punishment. You know? If youtake communion unworthily they
don't

Tim Stout (14:49):
they're not gonna view it that way. Right. Right.
So

Dallas Kelley (14:53):
that's not scandal

Tim Stout (14:55):
thing, right when we want to avoid I mean, there's
there's two types of scandal, right? I mean, if if we refuse
somebody. It'd be like usrefusing communion and the
somebody that was divorced andremarried and presented
themselves for communion. And weknew it and they weren't
aligned. We said, No. I mean, that's not going to happen.

Dallas Kelley (15:10):
Well, that's because there's always a chance
they could be living his brotherand sister and you don't know
it. It's not a publicproclamation of their belief.
Most people but you might notknow they're even divorced and
remarried. But the Pelosi is andthe President Biden's it's
public, for everybody to knowthe way they vote. That's why

(15:32):
it's a more of a controversialthing.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (15:35):
Well, in this letter from Rome, it's also
challenged the bishop to openconversation now, but

Dallas Kelley (15:44):
yeah, that's true. But

Fr. Linh Nguyen (15:45):
until unless that no longer an ability, any
possibility, then the point ofcut off communion is possible. I

Dallas Kelley (15:55):
mean, if you go back canon law, you know, Canon
915

Tim Stout (15:59):
got that memorize

Fr. Linh Nguyen (16:01):
that 915 he pulled that one out, you read
your sanction that I can tell?

Tim Stout (16:08):
So I mean, you know, this is one of those things. I
always, you know, my dad alwayssaid to me, he said, if if you
say something, and I saysomething in there, they're
opposite of each other. We bothcan't be right. This is what I
was looking at. I lied a lot Ihad a problem with. And he was
trying to tell me, hey, look, you're wrong. It's not true.

(16:28):
You're wrong. And in this case, there can't be two truths.
Right. Either one's right, andone's one's right and one's
wrong. And that's just just thefacts of it. I hate it for the
church, though. I mean, becauseit just, it causes, I think it
causes confusion, and it in aroundabout sort of way, you

(16:49):
know, people like to say thatthere's no such thing as bad
publicity, but I don't think itmakes the church look good
either. And really, just the thewhole, the whole situation. I
mean, you've got the, the bishopper Bishop can pretty much do

(17:10):
what he wants, right? I mean,he's the bishop, he's the
ordinary in his jurisdiction. Ifhe didn't want to give her
communion, he can refuse ourcommunion. And he may pay the
price down the road with thewith the pontiff or whatever,
but, you know, soup isn't gonnacome into his jurisdiction
sanction him. Right, right.

Dallas Kelley (17:29):
I mean, let's NDK

Tim Stout (17:30):
right. And so, a lot of people, I don't think a lot
of people in the world outsideof maybe a certain percentage of
Catholics, folk folks don'tunderstand how the how the
church hierarchy works. Andwhat, what a bishop can and
can't do. A Bishop in hisjurisdiction has a lot. A lot of
authority, right? And if hedecided that, and he's been

(17:54):
passionate about he's, he'shaving conversations about it,
he hasn't just said, Hey, I'mnot gonna do it. Right. He's
talked, he's talking, which isgood. But I just think when when
the outside world looks in onthis, I think it confuses
people. And depending on whatside of the what position,
what's out of the positionyou're on, it causes you to have
ill feelings towards the church, because there's this just this

(18:16):
gray area and people I think itconfuses people.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (18:21):
Well, I think the issues here when Rome
addressed to the US is thebishop is very cool about it.
First of all, we begin to have alot of opinion, too many bishops
have too many opinion, insteadof speak as a voice of us
bishop. I agree with that. Andthis is the major issues too,
you know, for you know, thatfrom four years now, we always

(18:44):
talk about who have whichpolitician should not receive
Communion, you know, that right?
Way Back then they still talkabout, but they really not sit
down and deal with it until now.
I think the issues on thispolitician it get more
aggressive. They they using thename Catholic to get the vote.

(19:04):
That's okay.

Dallas Kelley (19:06):
Yeah. And they use it a lot. Okay. And I keep
saying the word devoutly vow.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (19:12):
Yeah. Okay. And so Stephanie Bishop begin to
react to that. And so you know, that that is a major issues that
uscb have to sit their headtogether and and beat until
blood come out with some of themneed to smash the head on the
rocket away.

Tim Stout (19:32):
Do you think they'll do that now? They're late next
week? Right next door? Yeah,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (19:34):
they need to.
And so I don't want this stuffout. You know, they'll brothers,
you for the good of the churchdo something. Yeah. I mean,

Tim Stout (19:43):
I think part of the problem though is is we have a
for only the second time inhistory of our country. We have
a Catholic president and theywant to people on different
sides of the aisle or differentsides of this position. Want to
say well, what about I guessPopeye He's Catholic, I think,
or a Supreme Court justice, orthey just name other people. But

(20:06):
I'm gonna ask you to thisquestion if you all get it
right. I go by each of you a 12pack of beer, no googling. Okay.
named the current Secretary ofState.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (20:19):
Oh, you got me.

Unknown (20:24):
I rest my case.

Tim Stout (20:27):
Okay, everybody knew who the Secretary of State was
when Trump was president. Right?
Because he was going through.
Right. But name. I mean, youmight get this one. I'm not
gonna budge on so named theSecretary of the Treasury. Nope.
Janet Yellen. I know that one. Ican't tell you the sicker
stuttered flowers you bring in?
Because people like to say, Whyweren't why wasn't this? Why Why

(20:50):
wasn't the right. I'm gonna sayin terms of political in
political terms. Why wasn't theright why wasn't the
conservative bishops withholdingcommunion from the Catholic
politicians, people in powerWashington when they were in
power, like in the Trumppresidency, obviously, Trump

(21:10):
wasn't a president wasn't aCatholic, sorry. But he a lot of
his cabinet was Catholic, andwhy weren't you with withholding
communion from them based ontheir positions on capital
punishment? Or immigrationreform or other social justice
issues?

Dallas Kelley (21:32):
Or because those aren't closed?

Tim Stout (21:35):
I mean, right now, just

Dallas Kelley (21:37):
argue those right argue abortion. Right. And

Tim Stout (21:39):
that's what I'm trying to say is that, you know,
that's the argument. I mean, Iagree, obviously, I'm, you know,
I agree with that. But, youknow, when you're when you're
fighting from a position oftruth, it's easy to fight. But
when you're battling from aposition of untruth, in the case
of supporting abortion, it's,it's impossible to win. I mean,

(22:05):
if you're using if you're usingany kind of debate parameters,
normal, agreeable debateparameters, you're gonna lose. I
mean, there's just it's just tome, it's just black and white.
Anyway, we killed that one. Myguy else to say about that one?

Unknown (22:21):
No.

Tim Stout (22:22):
Let's, let's come back closer to home. Let's talk
about the CDC change the maskupdate. We don't have to wear a
mask in Kentucky anymore ifyou're vaccinated.

Unknown (22:32):
Ooh, there you go.

Dallas Kelley (22:35):
Exciting. But that was June 11.

Tim Stout (22:37):
No, see, that's the misconception June 11. To me,
June, the mass mandate was waschanged that that morning after
the CDC God gave its

Dallas Kelley (22:48):
its update, what was the June 11,

Tim Stout (22:50):
June 11. His work capacity goes back to 100% in
all bars and restaurants andother venues affected by
capacity restraints affected byCOVID.

Dallas Kelley (23:00):
But the match were matchless and less

Tim Stout (23:03):
and less This is the establishment requires a mask.
So you're seeing a lot ofmovement on that now. Right?
Kroger said they weren't, theyweren't gonna keep the mask
mandate in place. Now. They'resaying they're getting rid of
it. I went to Costco the otherday, it was I was going to get
some hearing aids for my mom.
And I walked in. And I went tothe liquor store first because I
want to see what kind of bourbonthey had. And had my mask on. I

(23:23):
walked in there and I said, alot of people most people I saw
had their mask on I asked theguys Hey, do I have to wear this
mask? He said, Nope. So why areyou wearing your mask? Well,
employees have to still but youdon't have to there's a little
there's a little side overthere. Versus before that had
two big side now the sides alittle took my mask off and I
walked in Costco when it feltpretty good. Did anybody look at

(23:45):
you strange. There were youknow, people look at you
strange, but you know, peoplelook at me straight up that way.
But no, I mean, I went in there.
I went to the hearing aid outwhich is in front of the store.
If you've ever been to Costco,it's in front of the front of
the store. did what I had to dothere and then I was just gonna
leave but then I decided I didhave mascots, the walker out.

(24:08):
Just because it was like, it waslike a new experience. I was
like, Man, this was pretty cool.

Dallas Kelley (24:15):
I was in Costco the other day and almost nobody
had a masking.

Tim Stout (24:18):
Yeah. So I mean, it's gonna happen fast. I think
there's gonna be this sense ofnormalcy pretty quick.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (24:25):
Yeah, probably a couple months.

Tim Stout (24:28):
You think it'll take that long? I don't think it'll
take that long. You think? Ithink we'll win June 11 rolls
around. You know, if ifrestaurants can find help, which
is another topic we could talkabout, you know, there's 8
million jobs available in thiscountry. And everybody's hiring
everybody. Literally everybody'shiring. But what do you love

(24:51):
throws around I think you'regonna be hard pressed to see a
mask and you know, even thoughthe directive is people with who
have not been vaccinated shouldstill wear a mask? You know,
Scott County is I think, numberthree in the state as far as
percentage of vaccinations. Sowe're, you know, we're pretty
high vaccinated. County, fakecounties up there, too. So, you

(25:14):
know, I'm pretty confident tosee anybody in mask. I mean,
you'll see, like, we as I walkedout the house tonight, and I saw
this, this older gentleman onhis golf cart, and he had his
Walker in the back of the golfcart, because they drive the
golf carts around ourneighborhood is he had his
Walker in the back of his golfcart, he was just driving around
moat around in his golf cart, and he had his mask on, you

(25:36):
know, outside by himself, youknow, that's probably a health
issue. Right. I mean, you'regoing to those folks that are
that are vulnerable. And I'm notmaking fun of that out, you
know, I thought it was, youknow, it just but

Dallas Kelley (25:46):
I still see you watch the news reporters out
with mass County,

Tim Stout (25:52):
California, New York, have not dropped them have not,
there's three states I thinkCalifornia, New York, and
somewhere else that habit,Hawaii, I think haven't matched
the CDC guideline. So you'regonna see that you're still
gonna see local jurisdictions tothat have that. So you might get
in the, the patches of thataround the country. So the those

(26:16):
those reports got to do whatwhatever the law is, or whatever
the regulation is, where they'reat. So

Fr. Linh Nguyen (26:21):
I always just came back from Florida
interesting. When I was there, the governor just dropped the
mass mandate. And then the dayafter the city dropped the mass
mandate. And then when I went Idid mass down there. And was
quite interesting because thepastor have reserved the first

(26:43):
five, six Pew for socialdistant. And then the rest of
it. Everything goes quiteinteresting. He came to me and
they say, well, for us, clergy,we still have to wear mask.
Especially during communion, ofcourse, hence nsi. Mass. Walk

(27:04):
through the hours you have towear a mask. But preaching you
don't have to at the altar, youdon't have to. so quiet. Whoa.
How do

Tim Stout (27:14):
you keep How do you keep track of that? Sorry, you
distracted me. You got a text.
So thank you guys. Terry Terryword. Yeah.

Dallas Kelley (27:29):
Thanks, Terry.
Hey, Terry,

Tim Stout (27:30):
we see you too. Well, I

Dallas Kelley (27:33):
got a question.
Are we ready?

Tim Stout (27:34):
Oh, hold on. Just real quick on is about this is
about the mass mandate.

Dallas Kelley (27:39):
Kind of about the next thing on our topic thing
here.

Tim Stout (27:42):
But let's let's kill this real quick on this. So the
the mask. The mask mandated inFlorida, it was either Florida
or Texas? I can't remember itwas but they actually passed a
law that said that localjurisdictions couldn't couldn't
pass a mass law. Right. orregulation

Fr. Linh Nguyen (28:01):
regulations.
Texas. Yeah.

Tim Stout (28:03):
So God love Texas.
And we'll cut we'll circle backto what the bishop has said
about mask and social distancinghere. Just second. Go ahead.
Does

Dallas Kelley (28:13):
a letter came out in the diocese, strongly
suggesting those that have notbeen vaccinated worship from
home? Is this denying theEucharist to the faithful?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (28:28):
No. strongly suggested you have to free on
free will if you determined togo you go new coats on the go.
You can't do it just aguideline.

Tim Stout (28:44):
Yeah, I think that I think a lot of times people
there's there's not going to bea person outside checking for
your vaccination. Correct.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (28:53):
Right. Maybe, maybe Terry was he was a
terrorist. add on to your jobdescription. Checking ID for
vaccination. COVID

Tim Stout (29:05):
COVID police. We're outside right now. So that
doesn't matter. But I mean, it'sa good question it did. You were
out of town. You may not haveheard it. It did cause a little
bit of controversy when thatcame out, so But you know, I
encourage people to have tofollow their conscience. Right.

(29:27):
That's what they do. That'sthat's absolutely. That's one of
the that's what we are allcalled to follow our conscience.
Yeah, that's one of theParamount pillars of our faith
is to follow your conscience. Sothat's all you got. That's the
only question. I was the onlyone. Well, that was pretty easy.
That was easy. So. So from whathave you, did you you've been

(29:51):
out town Did you get a chance toread the new directives. So we
don't have to wear a mask, butwe had to social distance. If I
read that correct. Yes, stillsocial distance.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (30:02):
You don't wear a mask if you vaccinate.

Tim Stout (30:05):
Sorry, correct.
Sorry. That's correct. That'sthe case everywhere.

Unknown (30:09):
Right? Okay.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (30:10):
It's a standard that's everywhere that that's
the recommendation. The funnypart about it was so interesting
where I almost giggle, almostchoke myself to death. Because
it's so redundant. It's almoststupid. So it said, If you have

(30:31):
not been vaccinated, you shouldwear masks or you must, you
should wear masks strong and gowhere matters, but we know this.
have no way to monitor thiscondition. So we encourage go
get vaccinated. Next, I wouldsay

Tim Stout (30:50):
my opinion on vaccination is if you haven't
got vaccinated now you're notgoing to cuz you can get back
get vaccinated just aboutanywhere right now. Right now.
There's no way all the bigplaces are done right. So Kroger
field shut down. I thinkCardinal Stadium in Louisville
is no longer a vaccination site.
So all the big vaccination horsepark, all those are gone. So

Fr. Linh Nguyen (31:12):
yeah, that'd be bad for the football season. But

Dallas Kelley (31:14):
now we go to your regular doctor now then.

Tim Stout (31:17):
You can't go to your regular doctor. From what I
understand. You cannot get backto a regular doctor or CVS. It
has something to do with money.
Okay, surprise, surprise. But Idon't think if somebody is
watching that there's a doctorwatching. Let us know if you can
get vaccinated Dr. selves. Idon't think you can.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (31:38):
Well, that this is interesting. Call dome is
hosting a series of 10 concertbetween the first week of
October of June. By the you hearthe group called the the the
word song program on PBS. Oh,yeah. Okay. And so the governor

(32:01):
is sponsor that. And we arehosting that. To get people
encouraged people withvaccination. Where's that gonna
be gonna be here at the blackbarn outside? It's a lot of
great concert. Quiteinteresting.

Tim Stout (32:15):
free, free.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (32:16):
If you vaccinated. Can you get
vaccinated while you're there?
Yes. Your vaccination is thepass to get into is a ticket to
get in show. Quite interesting.
So

Tim Stout (32:28):
Well, I mean, people are being creative. And oh, how
if you have a COVID vaccinationcard, you can be entered for a
lottery million dollar lottery.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (32:36):
Yeah. And then football ticket and all that
good stuff. Yeah.

Tim Stout (32:40):
I mean, it's a it's an interesting way out, you
know, social media is a good wayto pick up on some stuff. I have
a good friend, who's retiredyoung guy, retired 5054. I think
he might be 55 retired

Dallas Kelley (32:53):
member young people that retire where

Tim Stout (32:56):
those young people retire. But him and his wife got
vaccinated today. And, you know,he could go back say before, but
just wait a little bit longer, but to see what's going on. I
mean, there's nothing, there'snothing wrong with that. And if
you choose not to get vaccinatedbecause of conscientious reasons
or whatever, there's nothingwrong with that either. way. We

(33:17):
can't get I mean, how manypeople I've had I'll raise my
hands over here. Never, ever hada flu vaccine.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (33:25):
Me neither.

Tim Stout (33:27):
Oh, no, ever. So well. bet you're there. Steve.
You ever get the flu vaccine?
Now he gets the chickenpoxvaccine.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (33:35):
Yes. You got it.

Dallas Kelley (33:37):
You had the chickenpox? No.

Unknown (33:39):
Other than the you need the already got that

Dallas Kelley (33:42):
to the shadows.
No, I got the shingles.

Tim Stout (33:44):
You had the shingles?
Yeah, I had the shingle can youget shingles twice. But I
haven't got the shinglesvaccine. That's what I'm
actually thinking about. And ifyou noticed when you're watching
TV these days, there are a lotof commercials for vaccines.
It's like, Hey, we vaccines arecool. Now we're back. We're back
in mode. So let's push vaccineseverywhere we go. So you know if

(34:06):
it's your thing, if you'rearound people that are
vulnerable, I would encourageyou to get back vaccinated. I
got vaccinated so I can go seemy mom. And you know, it's not
required for me to see her butif I want to go into her room, I
need to be vaccinated. So I'mvaccinated. We do anything
controversial there. No. So, so,church on Sunday, we we don't

(34:32):
wear masks because we'reoutdoors, obviously, and we're
not. And if you're you'reoutdoors and your social,
social, socially distancing,currently, so everything's
copacetic here at accardo onSunday. Correct? Everything's
good. Any thoughts? I mean, Ithink that the bishop will
change his directives. Again, aswe get closer to June 11. Do you

(34:56):
think that's going to be thecase I think so. I mean, I just,
you know, this whole capacitything, I think does have a big
impact. And there's somemisunderstanding. You know, you
know, you had a misunderstandingabout the date with June 11 was
and those things. Obviously, Ithink the bishop understands the
capacity constraints onchurches, especially smaller

(35:19):
churches, right? We're one ofthose, we're, we're probably the
only one. The only one has theissue. Yes. Well, we're the
smallest church with the highestattendees, right family
attendees. So in the diocese,it's not like you're out in the
mountains, where you get 20families going to church in a
church, probably close to oursize, maybe a little bit

(35:41):
smaller. But you know, not much, maybe a little bit bigger St.
Francis, but not much bigger. Sonot an issue for for, for them.
So when we get those directives, you think that will trigger a
serious discussion about movingback to church? What do you
think? What are your thoughts onthat?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (35:59):
Well, my thoughts on that, like I say,
if, if all games goes well, inregarding to the recommendation
for the governor, my gut feelingwe go back, the following week,
tells me got build.

Tim Stout (36:15):
So we'll be a little bit ahead of that and planning,
I guess. Right. Yeah.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (36:17):
Scotty I think the key planning for me which
you guy Oh, here, it has to livestream of, you know, definitely
it's not going to be you know, like this quality quality from
from, from Steve providing thisexpert stuff. But some type of
live streaming, that we havehomebound people can actually

(36:39):
participate in that.

Dallas Kelley (36:41):
And the unvaccinated

Fr. Linh Nguyen (36:43):
and the vaccinated who still hold the
grudge on

Tim Stout (36:46):
unvaccinated? But I mean, I think I think we can set
Steve Don't you think we couldset something up in church where
it's a little bit simple that isthe library is is and you know,
we the church may need to investin a camera or a piece of
equipment. But we've a lot ofthe stuff that we've got here
can work, we can train someother people to do that. I need
some time off. I know Stevewants some time off. I'm taking

(37:08):
some time off.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (37:09):
Yeah, but definitely, you know that,
besides all you need some timeoff all the technology, and we
have to begin retraining ourpeople you can minister to know,

Tim Stout (37:18):
you know, all that stuff. We have to retrain us.
Yeah, all of it, right. I mean, our our mannerisms that we do at
Cardo were completely differentfrom what we do inside the
church, and even what you do ona weekday mass or whatever,
that's completely different thanSunday Mass. So it's gonna be
it's gonna be fun. Can youimagine that first mass back? At

(37:41):
that capacity? Can you?

Dallas Kelley (37:44):
I know, put? I don't think so. We probably
still won't offer the cup for along time. You

Fr. Linh Nguyen (37:49):
know, we don't offer for a while. My My sense
is not gonna be meal. Well.

Tim Stout (37:55):
I've heard people say they'll never come back.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (37:57):
You know, people all legal, the extreme.

Dallas Kelley (38:00):
But it used to not be offered.

Tim Stout (38:02):
You know, it's the Well, it wasn't offered when I
was a kid. Right? Right. So thatwas a that was a post Vatican
two move, right. But I don'tremember it really until, I
don't know, probably the 90s.
Really, I don't remember itbecoming prevalent. I could be
wrong there because I was a kiddidn't pay much attention to

Fr. Linh Nguyen (38:20):
it well in the ad that reintroduce that but
back and then it'd becomeexpectation and in the 90. And
you know, the 2000 it is what itis?

Dallas Kelley (38:34):
Once you start something for alone, kind of
like the you know, the holdingof the hands during the RFI.
Once you once you do somethingfor years, when

Tim Stout (38:44):
people get emotional about it, it's hard to stop
something. I mean, that's thatthat's a great example, because
people really have they havefeelings about that. Right?
That's important too. You know, there's, there's a, we can have
a lot of theological discussionabout that too. Good way,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (38:58):
oh, the intensity. It's just a matter
how to relook at everyliturgical practice that we have
to make sure we emphasize forme, I always operate bit on the
prime theology and the secondarytheology, you know, the whole
hand is okay. But theinteresting part, the silo

(39:21):
piece, remember? Oh, yeah, that's a tough one

Dallas Kelley (39:24):
is whether people get on about moving they had to
hurt

Tim Stout (39:27):
to a different time.
Right. But if you look out, families are giving each other
side of people yeah, I mean, that's an even even non family
members are given the sign ofpeace, people that feel
comfortable given the sign ofpeace to somebody. And again,
we're not going to get out thereand say, Stop.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (39:44):
Yeah, I do have a sense of therapy but really
fearful. There is a genuine fearof this virus, right? No,
absolutely. And so so forexample, if I give Deacon dollar
sign a piece and he's a no Thinkabout the ramification of the
feeling of the person publicly

Tim Stout (40:04):
public right now I get it. I mean, I think it's
tough. But you know, you're notgoing to if if there's just if
the Celt Kelly's you're sittingnext to the staffs, and they
hear, give each other the shadowside of the piece, and we give
each other side a piece. That'sbecause we've made that
conscious decision. You can'tstop that. I don't think you can
stop that.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (40:23):
Do you? Right?
Well, at least there had to besome type of norm during this
early phase. Absolutely, youknow, to do to do bring a
sadness in.

Tim Stout (40:35):
I think that based on what we're doing outside, I
think that kind of magnifiesthat, that a little bit for us
because the people sit in pods, right. They stay social
distance, but they sit next totheir friends and people they
feel comfortable to or somebodythey want to talk to after mass
or whatever. And so they'reshaking those people's hands. So

(40:58):
when we get back in church, wedon't have the luxury right? We
have we have a norm that has toestablish, but if somebody
reaches out, you know, it's justgonna be it's gonna be an
education. It's gonna be it'sgonna be tough. Holy Water gone
for a while to still write youthink?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (41:13):
Yeah. I don't know. We'll see.

Tim Stout (41:16):
Is that always that's always been around the head.

Dallas Kelley (41:18):
Hollywood as far as I know. Wow.

Tim Stout (41:24):
Who would have thought three years ago, four
years ago, whatever. We'd betalking about this kind of
stuff.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (41:29):
Well, I was at the Cathedral of what a church
in Florida. And there's a adispensary. So cool. But you can
put holy water you put your handout. And it you know, the liquid
came out and

Tim Stout (41:43):
like the hand sanitizers. Yeah,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (41:45):
but it looked very nice. It looked like a very
sacred in some shape. I have tofind out that product. Because

Tim Stout (41:52):
you know, if it was for a church, it was probably
like 22,000 anything forchurches,

Dallas Kelley (41:58):
church, a boat or tractor? Or wedding? Or wedding
jack?

Tim Stout (42:03):
Hey, last thing before we move on to Mary Cardo.
Hey, do you want to talk aboutanything going on out here at
us? You know, we've we've pouredsome foundations, right? For the
modular,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (42:13):
modular is in place.

Tim Stout (42:16):
Anything else going on out here?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (42:19):
Not that I know of.

Tim Stout (42:21):
You know anything going on? We're out here. Yeah.
It's hot. It's hot on thebuilding is hot is hot Titan
here. So

Dallas Kelley (42:31):
when Steve turns him lights on hot here.

Tim Stout (42:33):
I'm gonna post before we break down I'm gonna take
Dallas take a picture that yougot. Because it's pretty upset.
Don't you think? It's prettyimpressive.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (42:43):
We have a real studio.

Tim Stout (42:46):
Is this legit? Back there we go. We got a pretty
good view. It's, it's somethingspecial. Hey, so moving on to
the main topic two main topicnumber two, it's may in the
Catholic Church may is all aboutMary. Right. Right. Yes. They're
taking pictures. So why?

Dallas Kelley (43:10):
Why the month of May how that happened. You want
to follow you want to put yourhand over here and

Tim Stout (43:17):
is there a song month of May Allah Allah Allah Allah
Allah Allah Allah Allah? What'sthat from?

Dallas Kelley (43:22):
Andy Gertz Andy Griffith.

Tim Stout (43:25):
Everybody go Google it YouTube it

Dallas Kelley (43:27):
Barneys things the month of May.

Tim Stout (43:30):
The month of May we should I cue that up on the
media player Steve that we got.
That would have been ChristYeah. He got knocked down. Oh,
it would have been trademarkedout trademark copyright it out.

Dallas Kelley (43:41):
Because he did find the song I don't know who
sings it. But besides Barney, somebody besides Barney saying.

Tim Stout (43:49):
So may we typically have a lot going on? We were
good at Crown Mary over theGrotto and in a windstorm occur
windstorm came

Fr. Linh Nguyen (43:58):
and that was good to go.

Tim Stout (43:59):
And that was the fastest mass of all time right?
We finished in 20 minutes Am Iright in saying that to sound
right Steve? Was it 20 minutes?
Yeah, right 20 minutes.

Dallas Kelley (44:07):
A lot of times people out there in the field or
the Pew don't get to hear what'sgoing on the artist sometimes
Dallas go out there and say oneland maybe to get back in here.

Tim Stout (44:19):
There were houses destruction was before the
gospel. One

Dallas Kelley (44:22):
man maybe to get back in.

Tim Stout (44:25):
It was bad that I mean, that was that was some
serious with that day. You know,we look back on that stuff. It's
it's kind of, you know,

Dallas Kelley (44:34):
that had been the worst wind so far. Well, yeah.

Tim Stout (44:36):
I think it was probably the worst day, even
with the temperature extremesand those things you can kind of
deal with temperature. But thatwind, you can't. There's nothing
you do about that. And we werewe were we had Jesus locked
down. Right. We had everypatent. We had locked down hands
homepages hands, hopepurifications I mean, it was it

(44:57):
was crazy. But we we wanted tocrown Mary See, we're just we're
gonna do that at all or is thatjust kind of weird? That could
have been done?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (45:06):
About this week? It's Pentecost.

Tim Stout (45:09):
Steve's over there thinking Do I have to film this?

Dallas Kelley (45:14):
Every time we make a move, Steve has a heart
attack.

Tim Stout (45:19):
He's asking for a pay raise. You're on the same pay
plan is the deacons.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (45:25):
Tradition still crowded, man we crowd inside.
But we have not crowded out.

Tim Stout (45:30):
Okay, so if we maybe who's preaching this weekend,
you

Dallas Kelley (45:36):
one last one land maybe?

Tim Stout (45:39):
The weather was good, though, right? The weather's
good this weekend. Right, Steve?
Come on. You know what theweather's like you always know
what the weather's like. It'sgonna be hot, hotter than we're
used to. So please, Padre, before you come to mass.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (45:52):
You see, it should be crowded, marry,
ideally by Pius the 12. By 12.
It was May 31 is a queenship ofMary. That's when I lose you
crowded. But we moved her lateruntil August. So we we have the
Immaculate Conception that wecelebrate in August.

Tim Stout (46:13):
And then the other big feast, it will may 1. And
there's one there's another onewhich 1am I missing?

Dallas Kelley (46:21):
I wasn't paying attention.

Tim Stout (46:22):
I'm looking major feast days for Mary Magdalene,
the holy The Holy Days ofobligation. assumption
assumption which ImmaculateConception God assumptions in
August Michael conception is inDecember. January 1, there's a
host and every Saturday to writeevery Saturday is can't be paid
to Mary can be that she has alot of apparitions, too.

Dallas Kelley (46:47):
And the wind for this Sunday is three mile an
hour. I just saw three miles.
That's good. Yeah,

Fr. Linh Nguyen (46:52):
that's good for hit index ADA.

Tim Stout (46:54):
So if we're going to crown marry somebody I think
needs to probably tell and orLydia.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (47:03):
Well, her crown is at ease here.

Musician (47:05):
Well,

Tim Stout (47:06):
are you sure? Yeah.
Okay, sure. The stuff out itdisappeared last week.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (47:09):
Was it disappeared?

Tim Stout (47:10):
I don't know. So let's check that out. So let's
just do an exercise here. Nogoogling. Put your phones down.
Let's see. We just keep goingaround and say a title for Mary.
And see who gets stumped andcan't figure what's a white

Fr. Linh Nguyen (47:29):
Mother of God.

Dallas Kelley (47:34):
Virgin Mary.
Where are you when the pressureson you? know it's it's hard.

Tim Stout (47:43):
Mother of Jesus.

Dallas Kelley (47:47):
Mary of the Rosary.

Tim Stout (47:49):
Baby, you got Our Lady of Guadalupe, right?

Dallas Kelley (47:52):
Our Lady of Fatima ibotta. You could
actually if you look on thecalendar, you could go on and
on.

Tim Stout (47:59):
There's there's probably 100

Fr. Linh Nguyen (48:00):
Oh, she have a lot of title. It's a litany of
her

Tim Stout (48:06):
rosary.

Dallas Kelley (48:09):
How many? How many decades of the rosary are
the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
And we take it to the rosary arethere? Oh, oh, there's four
mysteries. There's 10. There'sthe five decades any Trojan?

Tim Stout (48:21):
There's five decades in each rosary. And there's four
sets of mysteries mysteries.
that's relatively new. Right.
john paul? The second? Yeah.
luminous mystery.

Fr. Linh Nguyen (48:32):
mystery.

Tim Stout (48:34):
lot going on with Mary. You've got some pretty
cool Mary investments. Do I haveto say that? I do. Yeah. Don't
you think you?

Dallas Kelley (48:44):
Don't you think he has some pretty cool ones?
Beautiful. Yeah. I think itmight be Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Is that is that what a loop?
What's on their?

Fr. Linh Nguyen (48:52):
Quito heaven?

Tim Stout (48:54):
We could use that one. That's the title right
Queen

Fr. Linh Nguyen (48:57):
available?
Yeah. The reason I'm where wegot we have you know, we don't
have deep investment along withhim. So time to invest something
new.

Tim Stout (49:08):
Yeah, maybe once a year, we could have a special
collection for investments.

Unknown (49:14):
Been a while.

Tim Stout (49:17):
We'd like for him to match. So it does. It does add
some matches important. And noneof us like the dialysis
investments, right? Yeah,

Dallas Kelley (49:25):
I don't say they handed it to him. Nobody really
liked it. I don't know who madethe decision. It's

Tim Stout (49:30):
a white vestment but it's red. had that. Do you know
how that what the story is ofthat?

Unknown (49:34):
caribou?

Tim Stout (49:37):
Karen, if you've listened, we thank you for those
investments. A really nice

Dallas Kelley (49:40):
5 million phone number.

Tim Stout (49:44):
The quality of the investment it's a it's a nice
investment. It's just it'ssupposed to be white and it's
red. I just don't understandthat. How something like that
happens. But hey, let's talkabout let's do it. officiant
report. Sure. okay for us tohear the fish and report, we're

Today we celebrate St.
christobel. de mcgillis. for 150years. Anti religious laws in
Mexico made it dangerous toproclaim Catholicism, churches,
schools and seminaries wereclosed, foreign clergy were
expelled. Today we honor 25martyrs from eight Mexican

(54:43):
States who died between 1915 and1937 22 of them were priests
three were laymen. Among themwas christobel megalon is born
in 1869 year Guadalajara heworked in the field before
entering the seminary followinghis ordination. He served at his
hometown organizing catecheticalcenters and schools in the rural
area, founding an orphanage, helping the poor establish

(55:06):
garden plots, encouragingdevotion to the Rosary. When the
government closed the seminaryin Guadalajara christobel
established a clandestine one inhis parish, it was between 1924
and 2008 and especially brutalperiod of repression, which
sparked the formation of thecristero movement. Its members
pledge their allegiance toChrist and to the church,

(55:26):
whatever the dangers forchristoval manganous. The End

prisoners and faced a firingsquad at the canonization of the
martyrs of Mexico in 2000. popejohn paul the second praise them
for witnessing to their faithand for explicitly forgiving
their persecutors. There's moreabout the saints along with
