It was a pleasure speaking with Lisa who shared her career path from operations early in her tenure to focusing on sales and sales management which allowed her to focus on helping customers lower their energy costs and reduce carbon emissions. Lisa has a unique perspective on the built environment market given her previous global roles in operations management and M&A. We discussed the tightening labor market in the industry which is in need of skilled trade and experienced data analysis professionals as more data is being produced but not utilized effectively. Lisa shared her motivation for joining Optimum Energy given the strong vision of the company to meet client needs with holistic HVAC system optimization delivered through a unique end-to-end approach that includes innovative technology, engineering expertise, and creative financial solutions. Lisa stressed the importance of how the future of energy optimization is being able to digest complex data to usable pieces of information that changes how buildings operate and improve energy efficiency. We also discussed the changing landscape of the needs of building operators from focusing on demand reduction to procuring sustainable energy sources.
