Hello, and welcome to thisepisode of Decide on Joy, coming
to you from Harmony SpiritualCenter in Fort Worth, Texas.
And today we have a guest withus, Reverend Pat Moore.
And we're going to be talkingabout healing metaphysical
healing.
And interest, oh, and also wehave Did you say your name?

This will be a great show.
I love this guest.
Okay healing.
Interesting to me because thisis something Harmony.
We don't talk about it verymuch.
It's not, there's a lot ofplaces that do, but we don't

(00:44):
mentioned as being available.
The chaplains, but we don't talkabout it.
And why is that?
I really don't know, because I'mright there to answer questions
always.
However, you know, I don't knowwhy we don't talk about it.
The same principles apply tohealing that apply to
prosperity, to any of the otherthings that we try to teach.

(01:08):
It's the same.
Process different focus.
So why don't you just, why don'tyou tell us about what that
process would be?
Because we're talking about whenyou say healing, tell us what
you mean by that.
And then tell us what theprocess.
Healing it for, in the, let's goback to the beginning.
Because over the decades, myunderstanding of healing has
evolved.

(01:29):
When I first began in the 19,late 1950s to follow a
metaphysical path, In the DallasFort Worth area, there weren't
very many opportunities.
The one I chose was a nationalorganization.
And in the 1950s, those werevery small organizations.

(01:52):
This one happened to have itsheadquarters at Virginia Beach.
And then the chit chat came downthat some groups of people were
having dinner together and thehostess Burned her, dropped hot
water on her legs and burnedthem severely.
And so they talked about takingher into the bedroom and all the

(02:14):
guests there prayed over her andinstantly the burns were gone.
That's excellent.
So that fascinated me andstarted, started that aspect.
So healing at that point wasjust something out there that
happened to you physically.
Gotcha.
Thank you.
Over the decades, now I can seethe logic energetically of the

(02:40):
process, which is to be incontact and know that spirit is
there available to you.
And you can call on for anythingand it responds.
And you're Physical being andthe emotions you're experiencing

(03:01):
in the physical world can hamperthat flow of energy just like a
beaver dam in the creek.
Yeah.
And so that's the same thing ifyou want to have prosperity, you
contact the divine spirit that'savailable to you and set things
in motion that way.
So it's the same process.

(03:23):
For healing anything, yourrelationships, your finances,
and your physical being.
So when we talk about, and whenyou talk about, you know,
reaching out to spirits, what wemean when we, certainly here at
Harmony Spiritual Center, andyou may have additional things
that you want to share with us,when we're talking about that,
we believe that we are allindividualized expressions of
that which is greater thanourselves.

(03:43):
That which knows before we know.
It's the inner knowing.
And so when we, and it's anenergetic field.
And so when we talk aboutcontacting that, we're just
saying recognizing that we havethat power within us to heal.
Is that what you're saying whenyou say that?
Recognize it?
Yes, I totally agree.
Yeah, okay.
So, is that something thatanyone can do?
Absolutely.

(04:04):
Are some people better at itthan others?
Some people are morecomfortable.
And Trusting in the process.
Yeah, that's, yeah.
Because you talked about, youjust said earlier, one of you
that we don't talk about it muchhere.
Well, both of you, you said youagreed.
Oh, I talked about it.
Yeah.
That was actually what I wasgoing to say.
Everyone knows that you're thehealer here.
Huh.
And that when we, when anyoneis, is ill, whether they're part

(04:26):
of this community or not, Yourperson that people call on and
say, Oh, contact Pat, because Ibelieve that because your, your
belief is so strong, yourknowing of this is so strong and
one of the, one of the tenantsthat we have here is that if you
can't believe something, thenfind someone who does and
believe in their believing thatis, that is powerful as well.
You can do it, but if you don'tbelieve you can certainly

(04:46):
contact someone who does, andthey can help you.
Every single church or any groupthat gathers in the name of the
divine.
Yes.
We'll have someone in theirgroup that is the official
prayer or, you know, inreligious science, it's
practitioners and unity is achaplains or just they're in a

(05:09):
traditional church.
I don't know what they'recalled, but they have them
right.
And you go to that person.
Well, there's a energetic reasonbehind that.
Yeah.
If you are the one that isneeding help.
You are so tied up emotionallyand constricted by your anxiety.
Yes.

(05:29):
You can't make that contact aseasily.
Right.
But the people that do thehealing all the time are so
comfortable.
They have seen healing occur.
They know it works.
They have faith in God.
And like you said, they may, thepatient or the client or
whatever you would like to callit, It's so ridden by anxiety.

(05:50):
They can't get in touch, butthey know you can.
They really know that.
They've seen you do it.
They know that you can do it.
So, you're out there doing thisdispassionately.
Not connected to the pain, butconnected to the source.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Or you're not connected tosomebody's poverty.
You're connected to the knowing.
That is an abundant universe,right?

(06:11):
And this is part of what we talkabout.
And what you're saying here too,is that the universe is abundant
and that includes abundanthealth, abundant wealth,
abundant joy, abundance,everything that we, that we
desire to have a wonderful life.
So and sometimes just our, our,our past, you know, just how
we're raised, whatever it is, itallows us to believe in one
thing more than another.

(06:32):
Right.
And it's all, it's allavailable.
And there are people out therethat are natural healers.
That just go through lifemaking, if they're in your, if
you're in their presence, youfeel better.
So that's their natural quality.
They may not know anything aboutspirit.
They may be an atheist.

(06:52):
But they're just so filled withlight.
Yes.
Generates healing to all thatcome around them, and you're
drawn to those people.
As you were saying, I think weall have been around those
people that we know have thatlight.
We're so, we just, we feel sowarm and welcome around them,
and there are people where wedon't feel it, and we're like,
hmm.

(07:12):
But the difference is here atHarmony, we can share the
process.
Yes, how does it work?
They're doing it without evenknowing the process, but for
people that come into this kindof a community, they learn,
whether it's by osmosis, Oractually directly asking
questions that that they canjust evolve into that knowing

(07:33):
exactly.
And yeah, so that's, when wetalk about what we do here, it
is about teaching, practicing,being around those who know, so
that you, until you know, so weknow for you until you know
yeah, exactly.
So it's very powerful.
So it doesn't, or does itrequire the recipient of the
healing to To believe it.

(07:57):
Well, People that ask for itmust believe in it.
But they need to ask for it,yes?
And no, because, For an example,in, In this group, On Sunday, We
have a group of people that arethe congregants, Everyone here,
Believes in healing, Or theywouldn't be here seeking.

(08:19):
Yes.
A stranger can walk in and neverhaving been here, and I can
remember a specific guest thatcame and he just came because of
a friend.
He really didn't believeanything, but he was just blown
away because when he left, hefelt like a hundred percent
better.
Yes.

(08:39):
So he didn't believe, he didn'tbelieve in anything we were
saying, but he still You canfeel it.
Was gobsmacked that he couldfeel so incredibly different.
Right.
It's energetic.
Why?
You just feel the energy.
We hear that a lot from peoplethat step through the door, the
energy they feel in this room.
Right.

(09:00):
And you don't have to believe init.
You don't.
And the other thing is, theydon't have to accept it.
Within their, the body, eachbody has its own intelligence.
It has its own sole awareness ofwhat their contract might be.
Yeah, okay.
Maybe their contract is not toget well.
So you can, we as people wholove, can send healing, and

(09:26):
we'll know it goes to them.
Their sole contract may notpermit their body to be healed
of a specific condition.
But in the same measure, itcould be healed of pain.
It could be healed of anxiety.
So that whatever they're goingthrough, they can do it easier.
Right.

(09:47):
There's no soul contract aboutthat.
You, you comfort them.
And I, and I remember, I'm gladyou said that.
Cause I remember, and I think Ishared this with some other
people, but I remember thiswoman in a class that I had some
years ago.
And she was dealing with cancerand she was so angry and she,
she said, I know this anger iswhat's drawing it to keep it to
you.
But I refused, I earned thisanger and I'm going to take

(10:10):
whatever, whatever comes withit.
And so it was incredible.
I know that you, you both haveheard this story too.
You're sick of it, but I'llshare it with the audience.
Healing of, when I talk aboutthe people involved.
Healing spirituality is part of,of the consciousness of mankind.

(10:33):
Yes.
So here, here's the deal.
I went to New York to visit myson and this kid that had hung
around our house, which weremany, half of her in Texas were
eating at my house.
So anyway, this kid had afavorite sandwich and he had
AIDS.
And so he wanted, Matt wanted meto come to New York and go out

(10:56):
on the train and see if therewas anything I could do for
Jack.
Okay.
Okay?
So we're there and we have awhole schedule for the week and
we were in a doctor's officebecause Matt had broken his
ankle at an audition and he wasgetting the cast off.
Okay.
So he's in the doctor's officegetting the cast off and we're

(11:19):
sitting there in the waitingroom and this large lady from
Jamaica came in.
So she sits down by us and shechitchats and she talks about
having been psychic in herfamily.
And then she, and thereceptionist was really upset
that that kind of a person.

(11:40):
Was in her park Avenue office,not happy.
So the lady pulls herself upwith dignity and she says, I'm
here to speak to these peoplespecifically.
So she looks at me and she says,when you go tomorrow, you go in
the bathroom because you'regoing to have opposition in the

(12:01):
room, go in the bathroom, washyour hands, say your prayer, do
whatever you do in private.
And so.
She left.
I've never seen her before.
I've never seen her after.
But so the next day we go toJack's and there was his father,
a traditional evangelicalminister, orating about how

(12:26):
Jack's, this was his punishmentfor choosing the gay life.
Wow.
And I, I looked at Jack and Icould see.
He'd chosen death a long timeago.
He believed what his father hadtold him.
I never in my life wanted so badto smack somebody upside the

(12:48):
head.
I wanted to punch his lightsout.
But being the good person thatyou are.
Yes, being the saint, I bit mytongue.
But at any rate, and his motherwouldn't even come down to see
her dying son.
And I couldn't have fixed thesandwich.
But there's Jack.
He chosen death.

(13:10):
There's nothing I could havedone.
But at that point in myeducation on healing, I was
taking the responsibility ofhealing.
The truth is it's none of mybusiness.
I, as a physical being, I'm notthe healer.
I'm just the person that knowshow to contact energy and allow

(13:33):
it to flow through me to thisperson.
And as it goes into this person.
It will go and find, like waterseeking its own level.
It will find what it needs toheal.
The contract was alreadywritten.
And Jack did die within threedays.
Wow.
So it served some invisiblefunction.

(13:55):
But that weekend is the weekendI learned that whether the
individual heals or not is noneof my business.
Got it.
It.
Got it.
I was so pompous and so put uponmyself because I could not
affect healing Well, and you'rea healer, but Yeah.
But only if, and I think thatyou'd ask that question about
whether they have to accept itor say yes or whatever, but in

(14:18):
some way they do have to acceptit.
Whether it's their soul con,they so knows whatever it is
they have to say yes, becauseit's not just the soul.
Our bodies were designed to beperfect.
They were designed to lasthundreds of years.
So the body has its ownintelligence, every cell, and it

(14:39):
accepts the energy of healingand it disperses where it should
go.
It just, that's just whathappens.
So the more you.
By coming here, the individualthat radiates light and lifts
the room, imagine if they knewwhat they were doing, how they

(15:01):
could use that.
Right.
But anybody can use it.
If you have a desire to helpothers, you can learn the basics
of the healing process.
Right.
One of the things that I, thatI, I love to do, you know, just
as a minister, is know the truthfor you.
Mm hmm.
And the truth that I know.
Is that you're capable yourproblem.
You're an individualizedexpression.
I know that you are here to beloved to be loved and to be

(15:24):
loved itself.
So I know that even if youcan't, I can look at you.
I know the truth about and thatis a healing.
Exactly.
So exactly.
So there you go.
Yeah, just thought about thesole contract as a whole.
Interesting.
That is, that is, I think, toobig a diversion to go down that
path right now.
But maybe a different.
I think we're going to haveanother episode about soul

(15:45):
contract.
Not everybody.
Not everybody.
Ascribes to that.
And so that's something wedefinitely want to talk about
and see where that, what thatmeans and what, and there's a
lot of, there's a lot ofinformation out there, but
there's a lot of books about alot of people believe that, so
I'm only aware of the one life,so I don't, I don't agree or
disagree, I don't.
Well, I know that there arespiritual focused churches that

(16:06):
don't necessarily believe in,I'm using air quotes here, they
don't necessarily believe inquote God.
But they believe in the energythat will turn on the computer.
So it's just all a point ofview.
Correct.
The prism through which theylook.
I love it.
So back to a practical thing, Iknow in the bulletin where it

(16:31):
says, and frequently when wemention that healing is
available from the chaplains, Weuse the phrase healing touch,
but I gather that touch is notessential.
No.
Well, it's not an actualphysical touch.
I mean, it's wonderful.
It's not to be negated.
Some people need the physicaltouch more than the energetic

(16:52):
healing.
So if they're here at present,then touch them if they're
comfortable with that.
Right, right.
That's what they want.
Yeah.
But it's not necessary.
But you can be, I can send.
Someone healing in, in Paris.
That's what I was going to askyou, do you even need to be in
the room?
Right.
Right.
Do you need to be in the room?

(17:14):
Hmm.
Right.
Yeah.
Hmm.
Problems?
No.
No.
I was just thinking.
Well, energy just is instant.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I, I agree.
I can think of some people thatcould use some healing at a
distance probably don't need togo down that path, but yes,
that's another topic.
Well, those of us in the healingcommunity send healing to, let's

(17:37):
say, our political people,things like that.
We send love to them and letlove act as love for them.
Yeah, I would say they'reshielding against that is pretty
strong.
Yes.
Oh, yes.
Yeah.
Because again, that's, you know,it's their choice.
We everybody has their ownchoices to make and decisions to

(18:00):
make and it's their life.
But we get to also just informpeople that there's another way.
There's a possibility if you'reopen to it.
That's it.
Just let them know.
Yeah.
But it's not something.
It's not.
Hocus Pocus.
Any more than the energy thatcontacts my computer with yours.
And the thing is, is that welearn so much.

(18:21):
We, we, we, in science andeverything, we're learning so
much about You know, we, we, wedo those exercises or those
experiments where you, Whereyou, where you have water, you
know, Yes.
Cold water.
And you can say something or youcan put something on it that's
negative or positive.
And you see the crystals that itforms just by the word that it
that's on there.
So we already know this many,many, many, many experiments

(18:43):
that talk about what energy cando.
So that's not, it's not a thing.
It's known, but do you want tobelieve it or not, or use it or
not?
It's up to you.
It's up to you.
We'll just think about, forinstance, the saints, or I think
Paramasa Yogananda but so manypeople from different.
Yes.
Cultures.
Different religions.
Yes.
There are bodies, the bodiesthat the soul left that are non

(19:07):
corruptible.
And just as fresh as they werewhen the person died 300 years
ago.
But they were of such a natureof, of spiritual perfection that
their bodies never becamecorrupt.
That's amazing.
I mean, and you can go look atthem right now.
That's amazing.
Okay.

(19:28):
Hmm.
Well.
Ta da! And we're not talkingabout Egyptian mummies here,
right?
I wish I am.
Mine is corrupt.
Yeah other questions occur toyou, PJ?
Nope.
I, I think we're about at a, ata ending point.
At a finishing point.
