This week we are deconstructing “Imposter Syndrome”.  

If you believe your "false" story you will become your story. Why do we sabotage our own future success?  The story you tell yourself is the story you live.  The challenge with imposter syndrome is "𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛."

 

Here are some tips on how you can overcome Imposter Syndrome:

 

1. Raise your upper limit

  • Expanding & raising your upper limit is a skill that you can cultivate. 
  • Redefine what success means to you.

 

2. You took your focus off the game

  • Get your momentum back. 
  • Focus on the "follow through" and the execution to re-engage with your work.
  • Engaging will help you regain your confidence & your positive thoughts will come flowing. 

 

3. Ask yourself "Where is the evidence?"

  • When you ask yourself this question in that moment of feeling that you are not good enough, you will soon realise that there is no evidence. 
  • It is just the story you are telling yourself.

 

The only thing you can control in your life is what you focus on.
