In today's episode, we discuss an unnerving feeling that might come when you start your financial journey alongside the desire to fast forward to the finish line.
This feeling is called destination anxiety and you might actually experience it in other areas of your life than finances. We all create this "perfect plan" for ourselves: "Working our dream job by 25, buying a house by 27, becoming a millionaire by 30" and when we fail to meet this made up schedule we feel so disappointed in ourselves and start loathing ourselves. This thought pattern that you need to have everything figured out at a certain age is not only damaging to your self-esteem, but can cause you to act out and wreak havoc on your progress, financial or other.
In today's show, we'll discuss what is destination anxiety, how to be aware of it and how to overcome it so you can keep moving forward while also finding joy and serenity in the present.
