Sam Tarell didn't have a conventional childhood. He was raised to pursue his curiosities and to be his own person - even if that meant he embraced being a bit of an outcast. His first business, Hoop Brothers, came about because his own college basketball aspirations were cut short and he didn't want the same to happen for his younger brother. After that business was successfully built, he set his sights on bigger things - DivergentU. A school to foster divergent thinking and the melding of creativity & entrepreneurship.
