Timothy (Beau) Waterman picked up his first nutrition book at the age of 11. He shares how he became very controlling with his food in his teens, counting calories and following restrictive diets, which led to three years of anorexia. Today, Beau has a more enjoyable and loving relationship with his food and body. He’s learned to follow his inner guidance when it comes to food and enjoys food freedom, intuitive eating and appreciating his body.  As a Transformational Guide who passionately speaks on the process of creating a loving and harmonious relationship with one’s Self, Beau is a perfect guest for this show. His main message is that we all can remember how to feel good, more often, from within and live an incredibly rewarding life starting now!

Here are the top ten takeaways from this episode:

  1. Pay attention to how you feel during exercising. Let your body tell you when it’s done.
  2. The more you fight against something, the more it’s going to stick around.
  3. Can you choose to lean into love when you notice self-criticism about your body or food choices?
  4. Stop judging the judgement. It’s okay to observe it.
  5. Practice soothing yourself by responding to negative thoughts with love and acceptance.
  6. You are a conscious creator of your experience.
  7. What are you going to choose to believe as you engage with food?
  8. Your body is in service to you
  9. It’s okay to have a desire for a different experience with your body’s appearance.
  10. Your self-love experience is about loving yourself in the moment, not when you lose x amount of weight
