(01:14):
Welcome back to Derailed. I'm your host JJ Leahy here with
my esteemed Co host and just allaround good friend Jake the
draft robot Shivink. We are so blessed that you guys
TuneIn week after week to this super fun 2 1/2 hours of
(01:37):
goofiness that we do episode 100.
This is crazy. We've been doing this Jake for
100 episodes. So this would be our like 101st
or 102nd live stream we've ever done together.
And I I just can't believe people keep tuning in to listen
(01:59):
to us. We talk about the Packers, talk
about the NFL drafts, Northern college football, Godzilla, you
name it. We do movie rankings.
I mean, come on. It's, it's, it's so much fun.
Honestly, like the, the main reason we do this is just 'cause
you and I just have a blast doing this.
It's just fun. And we would do it if nobody was
(02:21):
listening to us, probably. Just wouldn't live stream it in
that case. But it's like, it's ridiculous
that so many people, we have groupies.
We have groupies. Like you guys show up
technically every single week just to hang out with us for 2
1/2 hours. You guys are here for redacted
energy. I always wonder, like, there's
(02:45):
some people who were not here, you know, 50 episodes ago and
probably wonder why the heck we call this redacted energy.
It's because they don't sponsor us.
All right? If they want their name on the
show, we would love to take their ad revenue and prop them
up and pump them up all the time.
(03:05):
But they don't pay us, so we can't tell you the name of the
brand. All right, that's true.
I can appreciate all the delicious flavors they have, but
their logo is not getting on theshow until they pay us.
OK, Chris, Chris, a weirdo. A weirdo.
We got we got some fun stuff cooked up today.
(03:25):
We're going to celebrate the winover the Giants.
We're going to talk about what we can take from that looking
forward, apply it to the upcoming game against the
Vikings, the rest of the schedule.
Jake, I I I'm pretty sure we can.
In honor of 100 episodes, I think we can hand out some free
(03:46):
mock drafts. I mean, it's a birthday
celebration, I guess. Yeah, y'all don't have to pay
for mock drafts tonight. Now, I if you love the show and
you want to financially support us, we'd love that Venmo Cash
App. We got it all.
It's derailed football. I do want to stay to the the
(04:10):
people who are not watching liveon YouTube and you're either
watching it back later on Spotify or listening on your
favorite podcast app. Would you give us?
A little birthday present by going to derailedfootball.com
that that just sends you to our YouTube page.
(04:31):
If you have not subscribed, justgo ahead and subscribe.
You don't have to ever check us out live.
You would love it if you would, but you just subscribing is
helpful 'cause we need to get our numbers up.
We need to get our numbers up onthe YouTube channel.
Jake brought some hard work for us.
(04:52):
Jake, tell, tell the people you got you brought us.
So I have our I have our top tenmoments.
It was it was honestly, it was honestly a lot more difficult
than I thought to put the top 10together.
Now, if you guys have one that you feel like was not, you know,
included in this list, great, drop your favorites, absolutely
(05:14):
would love that. Or if you just have a top three
that you'd like to throw out there, you know, throughout the
show, I will make sure we star those when we get to that.
I don't know if we're doing thatat the beginning here or
whenever we get to it. We'll get there in some in some
facet, but but I have the top ten.
I have some honorable mentions which I had to include because
(05:35):
it was just way too much fun otherwise.
But yeah, I, I'm really excited for this one.
This is, this is going to be good.
I definitely think we should do these, these top ten moments
right off the top of the show. Cause look, this is the number
one thing people people are herefor.
But I did want to add a couple of comments here.
(05:57):
Chris says this intro beat is sickness.
So yeah, that was the original OG intro.
It was a good time, A lot of nostalgia and and good memories
wrapped up in that theme song. We did running into a lot of
copyright issues with that with that on YouTube.
(06:19):
So that's why we switched the custom one that that we had
made. But you know, like once or twice
a year we dragged that out and just accept like the copyright
strikes and and deal with it andjump through the hoops that come
along with doing that because sometimes you just got dive back
into the the sick beat. Dershow says evening, everyone.
(06:42):
This is now an Evan Williams appreciation post Yeah, Evan
Williams came up big in the mostimportant moment.
I thought that he struggled for a a a good chunk of the game.
But anytime you come up with thedagger to to kill the game right
(07:06):
and and win it for your guys, that that's what counts the
most. So absolutely Evan Williams,
slow clap. Appreciate you working harder
than my webs. Let's see, frame rate is
dropping like crazy. Jake, can you vouch that before
we started streaming, my frame rates were buttery smooth, like
(07:27):
it was perfect. And then it was time to start
recording. And then the frame rate.
Went to all the heck. Yes, this is true.
I don't know if it was the Mountain Dew hat.
I don't know if it was adding the vertical stream for Twitter.
That could be why, who can say? But that that did that did in
fact happen right before JJ hit the the go live button.
(07:49):
So yeah, very unfortunate, but it wouldn't be derailed if it
was perfectly smooth out here. And that's, that's what we're
trying to get to. Dirchl also says, I still
remember the first episode like it was yesterday.
So the, The funny thing is like the, the math just doesn't math
super well. 100 episodes, 100 weekly episodes.
(08:12):
You figure that's like it's two years.
And like, I don't feel like we've missed hardly any time at
all, but it's really more like 21/2 years.
Somehow the, the absences that we have taken have added up.
But I, I do remember though, that that first episode, we had
no clue what the format of the show was going to be.
(08:35):
None at all. The original vision when we went
into that first ever live streamwas that we were going to just
have a round table discussion and, and there were like some
debate topics that we were goingto talk about and we were trying
to figure out what freaking software are we going to use to
(08:56):
record this? And so we're like brainstorming,
we finally go, hey, why don't wejust go hop over into stream
yard, Got into stream yard and then accidentally, instead of
pressing record, we press like queue it up to go live.
And then we just made the decision like, you know what,
why not just go live? Because, hey, maybe one person
(09:19):
is going to watch this and have some fun watching it.
And then we'll like download theaudio and post it.
So we just go live and like a bunch of people filter in and we
just start talking with them. And the, the conversation that
we're that we're supposed to be focusing on the topic keeps
getting derailed. And we're like, toward the end
(09:39):
of the episode, we're like laughing so hard we can't
breathe. And we keep joking about how the
conversation gets derailed. And then at the end of it,
somebody said maybe we should just call the show derailed and
just have this be the format. And look at 100 episodes later.
Not much has changed. Honestly, not much has changed.
(10:01):
We got Bruce Edmonds in chat. Hi Batman, Nice seeing you,
Batman. Bruce Edmonds.
So if you're watching on X there, you should be seeing the
new vertical streaming format. What do you think?
Does it look good? Hope, hopefully it looks good.
(10:21):
Don't mind me, I'm just making sure I've typed up everything
correctly here as we get to our top 10.
So yes, derailed, you know, I, Iremember the episode 1 and
that's going to kind of be an honorable mentions about what
what we called it. You know what I remember very
much like the Oh yeah, this is structured.
We're going to we're you know, this will be good.
We'll round Robin it. This is totally fine.
And oh really, the plan. Yeah.
(10:42):
And yeah, boy, 5 minutes. This the where did we get to
episode 8? Was the first one, first one
that had a derailed thumbnail, but it was most certainly not
the first episode that got derailed.
So that, that was cool. I, I, I encourage you to go
(11:04):
watch some of the older ones. I, I have the highlights here.
I have some of them that I thinkare absolutely ones you should
be checking out. But there are there are so many
that like, you can remember, like certain, you know, moments
either at the beginning or just like certain terms or certain
(11:25):
jokes. All of that was, you know, was
considered for the top 10. But you're, you're gonna have
those moments. You're gonna be like, oh, yeah,
yeah, I definitely remember that.
And that was what was really funabout putting this together.
So, so, so do like Jake's saying, go to
derailedfootball.com. It's the quickest, fastest way
(11:46):
to get to our YouTube. Channel.
Derailedfootball.com It just takes you to our YouTube channel
and that way you don't have to go through all the nonsense of
trying to use YouTube search engine.
Go there. And if you Scroll down just a
little bit, there's like a pinned playlist that I have
that's called the archives, and you can go back to all the old
(12:08):
episodes from way back in the day.
So there's like 46 old episodes from when we were on the other
on the other channel. And then there is now this is
the 56th episode on the new channel.
You can go back and watch all ofthem.
I went through and ported them all over.
They're all there, all the good stuff.
(12:28):
And hey, tell a friend. Tell a friend.
Especially if you know somebody who used to watch the show and
it's been a minute since they tuned in, remind them, hey,
those guys are they're still andthey're still being crazy and
having a good time. So tell a friend we want all
Packer fans, all Northern college football fans, all NFL
draft fans, come on in here. There's a little bit of
(12:49):
something for everybody. You're probably always going to
be sad if you are a Cowboys fan because your team sucks, but you
might still have fun hanging outwith us.
So Jake, you know, oh, what's, what's his name?
The why am I drawing blank? I listen to him all the time.
(13:15):
White guy with face tats. He sings like Sunflower, Post
Malone. Yeah, yeah.
OK. Thanks.
Yeah. I know Post Malone.
So so his face tats say always tired, right.
So do you ever watch Caleb Presley?
Are you familiar with Caleb Presley at all?
Yes, Caleb Presley interviews him.
(13:35):
He's like, hey, so your face says always tired.
Is that always tired of being a Cowboys fan?
And Post Malone was like. Yeah, yeah.
That's really cool for this. That's really good.
Yeah. Sunday conversations with Caleb
Presley. I I think it's the funniest.
(13:56):
Show of all time. I wish our show was that funny.
OK, so Are you ready? Is there is well, as I'm
finishing this up and and placing this in very nicely
structured order, do you have a top three off the top of your
head of like it can be an episode as a whole.
It can be a moment I want to hear from the chat too, JJ, if
they want to drop like their favorite moment, all that like I
(14:18):
feel like there is there are plenty of really, really good
ones. Yeah.
So I I really want to hear from them, But I, I would love for
you to to take the reins if you if you want to and just go
through your top, you know, few moments.
I I would really hate to steal some some of the chats favorites
(14:39):
ones. So I'm I'm going to kind of skip
some of the ones that that I think like everybody loves and
just kind of grab onto the some of the ones that were just sort
of extra special to me. OK, so do you remember the the
witches episode that we did? So Ryan had come up with this
this Earrie. OK, OK, I'll I'll skip it then.
You can he's odd here. You can.
(15:00):
I do love that you brought that up.
I'm like there when I saw that title, I'm like, well, I have to
click on this. I don't.
And then like it all came back. It all came back.
There was also so all right, I'mthe I'm the host because nobody
else wants to do the intros and I also always have to do like
(15:23):
the thumbnails and come up with the titles and everything.
And there was this stretch whereyou and Ryan kept alternating
who was actually on the show each week.
It was just me and one of you guys for like 3 or 4 weeks
straight. And so I had to come, I had to
keep coming up with creative ways to make thumbnails with
(15:47):
showing one of you 2 guys missing.
And like by the time I had you like the third one in a in a
row, I was really starting to like bang my head against the
wall. Like, all right, I don't know
how many more of these I got in me.
So Tyler Dershall says goof Kartchick tried to kill Ryan Day is
one of his favorites. Dershall that's one of our
(16:09):
favorites too. That's fair, Jake, probably like
once a month at least like once every six weeks.
You and I are talking after the stream ends and we find a way to
reference the goof Kart chick who tried to murder Ryan Day.
I it's at least every six weeks that happens.
Tool for this says he's currently trimming his thumbnail
(16:30):
so you understand you get the life you get it Drew says
meeting JJ was my favorite moment you know that was like a
derailed offline moment, but that was that was a super fun
day where I got to go meet just a ton of derailed listeners at
the draft in Green Bay this spring.
That was super fun. I got to meet Drew and his
(16:55):
friend and they they pointed me to some great shops where I got
a bunch of great Packers WAG. Actually I got this hoodie there
that day and I just got compliments on it just yesterday
from some Packer fans who are myparents that that they love the
hoodie. So that was let's see Dershow
(17:16):
says Godzilla. Ras is clearly 10.
Here we go 2 old for this. I missed this comment.
Do you mind if I do a new segment presented by REDACTED?
I think I did like 2 weeks ago to Jake it was he.
Did. It was my Sunday conversations
reference Aaron Kate Leahy. Hi, Mama, says Ed policy day one
(17:38):
of her favorites. Yep, that's one of my favorites
as well. Do you remember?
Do you remember when I tried to do Woats and the chat hated it
and like, you and Ryan were totally on board for it and we
we were doing it and it was likea thing.
It was like a new section presented by redacted.
It was woats worst of all time and the chat absolutely hated it
(18:05):
and I was getting roasted in thechat like stop trying to make
woats of things not a thing. And I was like, come on, man,
This is like this is fun. It it can be a a weekly thing.
We have another one just in the last few weeks.
Let me see here. I got it right.
Where'd it go? Where'd it go?
It's I know it's right here. Here it is.
(18:26):
Is it Wix? Presented by Redacted Energy.
This is one of my favorites, andI've been doing this to Jake
offline as well. Just like any time we're talking
about anything at all. If it's been long enough since
I've said is it Wix? I could just whip this bad baby
out and. It's.
(18:47):
It's like the more times you do it, we as long as you wait long
enough in between. We did do this last week after
the show. We were like, that would have
been a good spot to do. Is it Wix?
And it was very unfortunate. What was that about?
I can't remember. It was oh, oh, oh, it was
something of like it. I mean, last week may or may not
(19:13):
make an appearance. Hot this hot this list, but it
was something along the lines oflike, you know, like mistakes
made or something of like, you know, there was a a certain
play. I think that was like a mistake
or, you know, is Oh, I I think Iknow, I think I know it was the
(19:40):
third the back-to-back drops. Were they Wicks?
And the answer was actually was no.
The the like kind of stabbed by Dobbs and then the drop I Belton
were those Wicks? And the answer to that was
actually no, which was surprising.
(20:02):
Now Wicks did have one, I believe, right this past week
against the giants. He he did drop one.
I know that that PFF kind of credited. 4 drops, which I
thought was like being nice to the receivers.
To be honest. It felt like there were more
than that in the game. And I know the first one
Musgrave fumble, not the second time.
(20:25):
The first one was a catch and a fumble.
So it was about a drop. But man, yeah, they're, they're
oh, don't worry guys. There's I I like, I like what
I'm seeing in the comments rightnow, Dirsha says another of his
favorite is Katie and Matt Ramage.
(20:46):
That's just a legendary moment. Another one here Drew says the
redacted energy logos were great.
So I, I pulled up a couple of them.
I couldn't find the Bears one, but we have Oh, I gotta take.
The comments off Scoop covering up.
One flavor of redacted energy isthe Vikings empty trophy case.
And then we have, of course, theclassic cheese and Packers best
(21:10):
flavor ever. Yep, and crying lions warning,
choking hazard contains kneecaps.
I don't know. I could not find could not find
the bears one. I'm not sure what I did with
that. I know I have it somewhere.
It's it was it wasn't good enough.
It's still scrambling in the pocket and not playing within
(21:30):
structure. I think is is what's happening
with that. Can you can't contain it but
it's not playing within structure and it's you know it's
just kind of being more annoyingthan than anything else.
It's it's still stuck in 1985 too old for this was the one who
drew the original and and then II was able to use AI to enhance
(21:56):
the drawing and then we've made a bunch of different.
Flavors off of it so. Says he still has the original
of that drawing on his desk. Love it, Love that.
OK, all right, I, I think we're ready.
We're ready 22 minutes in as I've.
Let's do it. Did we give you enough time to
(22:17):
type up your notes? Yeah.
So, all right, so I have some honorable mentions and I want to
make sure that we we get to those.
OK. The first one, I have one
honorable mention. JJ teased 1 of it was the
witches, which I think is hysterical.
By the way, it is episode 16. Try to stay on topic.
Challenge Witches edition, whereliterally the opening of the
(22:41):
show is, hey, we're going to just try to stay on topic with
stuff. Which was hilarious.
Blaine makes an appearance to talk about these witches, and
Aaron Rodgers, his witch girlfriend at the time,
apparently had an ancestor in the 1800s in Salem and an
ancestor in the 1600s in Salem. So that was a hilarious
(23:03):
discussion. There was talk about like, you
know, how she needed to come in and reverse the curse on the on
the field. And there was a a curse called
Opposite Day. And that Opposite day curse
launched the career of Tucker Craft, who had a really nice
game against the Giants on that Monday night game.
That was coming out of the Tucker Craft, wasn't it?
(23:24):
Yeah, that was the Monday night. That was that was a Monday night
game, I think. So that was that was the one
which was Tommy DeVito, the Tommy DeVito games.
That was the worst game of I've ever seen.
That was tough. And so, you know, we we talk
about the Panthers loss, we talkabout the Browns one, that one
who boy, that one's up there definitely in the top one was
(23:47):
brutal because that one was brutal because it was like death
by 1000 cuts, all self-inflictedby the Packers.
So like Jordan Love had one of the worst quarters you've seen
from him in a long time. And then he kind of pulls it
together. And then like the offensive line
can't get things together and and you know, none of the
(24:08):
receivers can catch a single pass and the run game can't get
going. And we finally like we're we're
putting some points together andand then all of a sudden the
defense just craps its pants. And Joe Berry's defense, like
could not couldn't even stop himfrom getting a first down like
per carry on that final drive. It was just like the Giants have
(24:32):
no business being in this game. Yep.
And that was that was the game after Thursday night victory on
Thursday victory and Thanksgiving W over the Lions,
Sunday night victory over the Chiefs, and then then they lost
to the Giants, which is exactly what happens.
This is exactly how things go. Oh, just last night Green Bay
(24:55):
beat Detroit and Washington. Oh, here comes Cleveland and
it's just like it it that's justit's it's so common, which is
not good and we have we have hashed that out plenty, but how
not good that is tool for this says over the last three years.
I can't remember a game we were straight up beat.
(25:16):
Almost all of our losses were our own fault and that that
really is true. It's, it's, it's, it's very true
when you are such a talented team that you don't have big
glaring weaknesses because when you play your best ball, you can
(25:36):
go toe to toe with the best and take them on.
And so when do you lose? It's when you're not focused.
It's when you're not playing your your game.
And like, I, I almost would say that you can kind of stretch
that out to like include most ofMatt Lafleur's tenure here.
And when you do that, then there's a couple games that do
kind of stick out, like that playoff game, his first season
(26:00):
in the NFC championship game against the 49ers.
Like, they just beat us. They just were better than us.
And like they would have needed to make some mistakes and we
would have needed to capitalize on them in order to have a shot
at. Winning that game.
What, what, what, what are some other games that are sticking
out for you as games where we just got beat?
(26:22):
I think the only one that like in this era, if you count just
2023 through now, maybe Tampa Bay in 2023, just kind of felt
like, oh, yeah, this is we just kind of got rolled over pretty.
That's like the only one that was sticks to mind really,
because like last year's losses were all very winnable games,
(26:43):
right? Like the opener against Philly,
Minnesota games, Detroit games were close.
Like it just it felt like none of those really stood out.
None of the early season losses in 23 stood out either of like
Raiders, Broncos, Pittsburgh. We were in the game, right?
It just it didn't feel like, oh,there was nothing
insurmountable. That one just felt like, OK,
(27:07):
yes, certainly mistakes in the game, but it was just kind of
like just felt like a day where everything was was it?
It was off an inch and love played well in that game.
I remember one of his better throws.
The offense was not the problem in that game.
And it just felt like, oh, OK, they just can't, we're just not
going to keep up. And because which game came
(27:29):
first? The Panthers game was first and
then the Buccaneers game. Is that the order or was it
reversed? I'm looking it up now.
I I feel like the Panthers game was the must win because the
Tampa Bay game was a loss. Yeah.
So there, there were two games in a row.
I think you're right. It was Tampa 1st and then
Carolina where the defense like practically is giving up like 40
or 50 point games like back-to-back.
(27:52):
And like it it, it was during that stretch that Matt Lafleur
had taken over the defense at that point because Joe Berry was
had just so completely lost the plot of what was going on on on
defense. And so Matt Lafleur, our
offensive minded head coach, hadto come over and take the reins
on defense and and, and, you know, get things back under
(28:15):
control. And then the next game after
that two game stretch, defense is playing like fire again.
And we, you know, headed into the playoffs feeling confident
in our in our defense. Honestly, the defense really was
not like a major problem in the in the in the playoffs either.
They were, you know, competent enough.
Dershow says Eagles playoff gamelast year.
It's not a bad one. It it, I, I, my mind did go
(28:38):
there. But also like, you know, as I
said, the, the Tuesday after that playoff game, like I didn't
watch that playoff game because I didn't have any confidence at
all in our team's ability to go out there and play a clean ball
game. We're playing like garbage.
(28:59):
So, yeah, they, they did beat us, you know, and is it did they
beat us because of our mistakes or just because we were just
kind of a dog crap team at that point?
You know, it it, it's probably fair to put that in the in the
column of they beat us because we were bad, not because we were
(29:19):
making mistakes. And there's been a lot of games,
you know, as, as we were just saying that the rest of that
this era has kind of been when we lose games, it's because
we're making a lot of mistakes. So maybe Detroit Thursday night,
2023 is maybe the other one thatwould come to mind.
Another 34 to 20 loss where it was just kind of like, I make
one mistake. It kind of snowballs.
Defense isn't standing up to this, this offense.
(29:42):
But other than like those three games that I'm thinking of, I, I
mean, especially in 23, it was like 23 was one point loss to
Atlanta. Then obviously the Detroit game,
four point loss to Vegas, 2 point loss to Denver, Minnesota
I guess was a 14 point loss, butthat was heavily, it's some
weird turnover, turnover based 4point loss.
(30:03):
You're talking about the second, second Minnesota game.
That would have been the first one that year because the first
one was crushed. Minnesota, New Year's Eve in
2023, they crushed them, right? That was the 33 to 10.
Just absolute beat down Jordan Love, 8 yards per attempt, 293,
three touchdowns, 73% complete. Like that was fantastic.
(30:29):
I crack up what I'm looking at at these and it says like no
views, no views 'cause these arejust like the recordings that
were just loaded later. The the views are probably
because it looks like there's nobody who cares about our
channel. The views are probably you guys
treat for two hours honestly, like if you look through some of
(30:50):
them are Yeah, like I definitelyviewed the witches one and the
one after it as well because of the guitar views up on on these
old episodes in the archives. Cause the title after this
witches 1 was pretty good too. And I'm like I need to check.
This one out. Metal floor and probation.
Yeah. So I definitely look through
that one to see it. Fantastic.
Any good? Not to do my own horn, but look
at that that that's a really good hort card that he got
(31:11):
there. That was a really good one.
OK the next one on my list is the introduction of of Coulson
Yankov pre 2024 FL draft episode32 Cat litter draft Memories,
Yankov and escaped chickens. Phenomenal title, insane
(31:33):
episode. I would encourage you to listen
or watch that one as well. This is when I had, I had like a
dozen and a half baby chickens in my recording studio that they
just lived there because it was too cold outside.
And so, and that was the only room they could be in.
(31:54):
And so the whole, the whole time, every, every time I'm
doing a, a, a live stream, if you listen, you can hear little
baby chickens peeping in the background the entire time.
And, and, and by the way, ColsonYankov recently mentioned on the
ringer fantasy football show on on their Sunday episode.
(32:15):
And they were like, is that that's a real person like blah,
blah, blah, making the jokes, obviously that you would make
about that, right. And I, I, I sent them an e-mail.
I can't wait to hear if they read that on one of the shows
this week. I sent them an e-mail.
I'm like, Hey, my buddy and I would do this show.
This this guy came up pre 2024 NFL draft and one of our list
long time and loyal listeners ishis cousin.
(32:37):
So I hope that they will read that out because that came up
and I'm like, Oh my gosh, you guys have no idea.
We have been on this train for along now.
Tool for this is finally going to get the fame and recognition
that he deserves potentially. Can be his.
Launching out point so. OK, that one.
And you don't know what the cat litter was though.
(32:58):
What? How do we?
Does anybody remember how? Really don't know.
I don't know. You know what Colt Litter Gang
comes on the back end of the that litter has has Blaine all
over it. I feel like.
I feel like he must have made it.
There's something going on here.Yeah, there, there hadn't.
Been Blaine on that one. Number the third honorable
(33:19):
mention I have is just titles, just titles, right of of certain
ones because I didn't know if this one was going to make it
and it didn't end up making the top 10.
But it's a phenomenal episode, right?
Oh shoot, I lost it. Where are we?
It was last. This one is episode 33.
Packers add a King, Kaylin, Kingand Messiah.
(33:41):
That's on my list. A Cortana, Cortana, Ladapo, and
an Edge, A Dream Cooper. That's on the list for sure of
great ones. It's probably the least amount
of effort I ever put into a thumbnail.
Matt Lafleur and Probation did make that list.
Cocaine Bear Tackles Philly Cheese Steaks was on there for
sure, no question. That was a great 1.
(34:04):
So that was one where we, we hadthe robot come up with the title
like on air. We're, we're still recording it.
And I, I was just like, guys, what are we going to call this
episode? And we just, we pulled up the
robot and the robot came up withthe Cocaine Bear Tackles Philly
Cheese steaks. And so I had to I had to get AI
to make a an appropriate thumbnail for this.
(34:26):
If you guys are just listening to this episode back on audio
only. Jeez, go to the YouTube channel
and go look at the thumbnails. Find cocaine Bear tackles Philly
cheese steaks. You're missing out if you don't
look at this. Such a good it is.
It is phenomenal. See the the little bag of
powdered sugar here so that so that I can stay family, family
(34:50):
friendly. Two other ones, obviously Nugget
Bay, Georgia Peaches and the goof cart chick who tried to
murder Ryan Day. Another great episode.
Phenomenal moments in there about Nugget Bay and all the
naming of certain places a person named Georgia Peaches and
is spelled like you would just never believe.
(35:12):
Phenomenal episode. And then the even the one before
that, which I'm sure you'll comeback to that one, JJ, because
Northern the north runs football.
Of course, the one before that was steno spinner and slop of
Matt Lafle. That's one discussion all time.
Yeah, that is such a good title for me.
I to to me anyway, that I love that title.
(35:32):
Stener, spinner, spinner and slop of Matt Lafleur discussion.
Also a trip down memory derailedmemory lane.
That was a good one. That was awesome.
And here's nugget bait. Look at how George's.
No, this is this is true. It does not Cookie bread does
not fail. It was 14 months ago at this
point. So Georgia Peaches, I don't
(35:54):
remember what she was. She's like a oh, no, She was the
girl who sang the anthem. She sang, right?
She sang the anthem at, like, the national championship game
or something like that. Yeah.
And so her first name, Georgia Peaches, and it's spelled
JOHRGIA. Georgia.
Georgia Peaches. What a name.
(36:16):
Phenomenal. So titles, all that made-up I
those two back-to-back, I think really underrated back-to-back
episodes. We do put a lot of effort into
this, I will say. So usually what happens, we
finish, we finish doing an episode and it usually takes
like 2 1/2 hours. And then, you know, even though
most normal podcasts are wrapping up right now at this 36
(36:39):
minute mark, or like maybe they go to an hour, usually at the
one hour mark, we say, hey, should we start talking about
our main topic of the day? So that's 100% accurate.
When we, I, I feel like 55 minutes is like the sweet spot.
I bet you, if you go find the average, especially like when
it's offseason, I guarantee you that 55 minutes is the sweet
(37:04):
spot of like, all right, all right, all right.
We should, we should, you know, put the train on the tracks one
of these times. And then when we stop recording
at that 2 1/2 hour mark, I always ask, I always ask Jake
the same question. I say what should we title this
episode? Oh yeah.
(37:24):
And we spend like maybe 5 minutes, maybe sometimes 10
minutes brainstorming what the heck we're.
Going to call the episode. And then we look up and it's an
hour later and we are, we're doing something stupid like
doing the the spinning the wheelof like Big 12 teams that are
(37:44):
going to, you know, make the playoffs next year, something
like that. Like it's the stupid stuff like
that. It's it's never a good.
A good use of time, but it was. Drew says the cat litter was
something about someone making acomment.
I don't know if they brought up cat litter or the name was cat
litter or what. That's right.
I think. I think they wrote something and
(38:07):
we thought it said cat litter atfirst.
Oh, maybe that could be if I listen to it on 1.2 speed, I can
catch most of it on my way. On your way.
Where are you going? You guys were rating comments.
Rating comments. That sounds like a great
(38:27):
episode. We should do that man.
You know how much we have to watch for that.
That will be a lot of going back, but that would be
interesting. A tier list of all the comments
that were made of the best of the best.
Well, I can already tell you which one would be the best
comment of all time. The Goof Cart chick who murdered
(38:49):
Ryan Day. Yes, If we were rating titles,
for sure. Yeah.
It came from a comment, though. That came from a comment.
That's why we titled it that. The Goof Cart.
That's why it's Goof Cart. Because somebody in the chat,
probably too old for this, triedto write Golf Cart and said Goof
Cart. That's right.
That's right, like did you guys see the goof Kart chick who
(39:11):
tried to murder Ryan Day and we couldn't stop laughing about
that. A year later, we're still
laughing about it and we had to title the episode that Oh gosh,
all right, what's your next episode 40 is in an honorable
mention. We did those wheel spins for
like you have to put these blindranking of teams and I had some
ES little ESP during that of when we spun.
(39:35):
I JJ was saying, all right, how do you rank these teams for the
next like 3 years? Right.
And I, I put the Texans at 2:00 because I said, oh hey, I would
like the Chiefs at one. I'm saving it for the Chiefs and
(39:56):
that's what it was. Is it not 40?
Maybe it's not 40. It's it's probably around that
same time though. I bet it's around the same time
of. Of year though.
It's not, oh, maybe it's 36. I think it's 36.
I bet it's 36. That could be 37.
We did ranking terrible quarterbacks on that and that
(40:17):
was with me not on it. So I yes, there's I saw the
wheel. OK, episode 36.
I'm sorry, it's not episode 40. It was just there, there we go.
It was here and we did it and I basically was like, all right,
I'm. I'm saving.
Yeah. So this was the first one that
(40:38):
was yours. How you ranked them for the
year. And right here is where I said
I'm saving it for the Chiefs when I put the Texans at 2 and
the Chiefs came up immediately afterwards.
So. And I think there might have
been something else of like, oh,the Bears are going to come up
here and I get to put them near the bottom, which I think also
happened. So that was a like a little bit
(41:01):
of ESP moment there for the for the folks.
This, this reminds me of that quote from The Dark Knight where
he says sometimes the truth isn't good enough.
Sometimes people deserve to havetheir faith rewarded.
Yeah, like your, your faith was rewarded and it was, it was
deserved. Drew says the wheel was fun.
(41:22):
We're we're almost certainly bringing the wheel back again
real soon. I actually think we did that in
the summer this past summer as well.
Right. So this was 24.
The beautiful thing with the wheel is you can do so many
different types of topics in thewheel.
So we should bring the wheel back, Drew said.
I think I've literally seen every episode.
So that's like, that's like 300 hours of content, 200 and 5300
(41:44):
hours of content. I don't know if I'm amazed that
Jake and I can listen to each other for it's hard for me to
listen to myself on these, but Idid.
I guess it's hard for you to listen to me.
No, no, I don't like listening to myself, but I I powered
through to find some of these. So yes, that is episode 36, ESP
(42:05):
on the wheel, not 40. Just to put that out there.
Again, episode 81 in the honorable mentions because in
which Geranium was born in a tier list.
OK, there was no question that we were doing this one in the
honorable benches. At the very least it was in
where do you rank Jordan Love, Matthew Golden and company and
(42:29):
built the built out the tier list and it even, you can even
see the tier list on the on the thumbnail.
And we're building it out, building it out, building it
out. And like, all right, we need a,
a category for, you know, these guys who have so much potential.
And, and you know, it just so happened to be the time that
there was some stuff going on overseas and we're like, all
(42:51):
right to name this enriched uranium, enriched uranium here
because it's not, it's not. There was some joke about like
enriched uranium, it's not fullyenriched, blah, blah, blah,
whatever. We made all those jokes.
But that one's really fun to seehow how correct some correct and
how, you know, wrong. We were about some of the the
players coming into the season, which we kind of touched on a
(43:12):
little bit on some previous ones.
I think a few couple weeks ago, because it was mid season.
I think JJ said, let's look backat this.
You know, we see, Oh yeah, like or did we get that during the
car on our way? I think we did it.
We did then first on the way back from Ohio State and then JJ
was like, we got to we got to put this on the show.
That was going to be one of my honorable mentions was our in
(43:36):
person live episode of derailed, which was just Jake and I in the
car for how many hours were in the car for like 10 hours.
I mean, it was absurd. It was a it was a long day.
The trip back was not great. Went to single lane a little
bit. So it was probably like 3:15,
3/20 at least all the way back, which you, you know, if, if
you're making that drive 3 hour drives, you can listen to most
(43:57):
of the episodes, not all of them, but most of them.
You will finish in three hours. If you're, if you're wondering
what it sounded like in the top three, if you're wondering what
it sounds like, what it sounded like in the car, just pick any
random, just any pod. Any pod is a guarantee.
(44:19):
All these comments about. David Carr.
Carr was on the Adam Huddle's comment on Carr was on there
when you showed the screenshot when you had the episode paused.
So that's, yeah, that's why. That came up.
That's right. I think it was Derek Carr, but
yes, David Carr also. An.
(44:39):
Interesting character. I did put episode just narrating
himself. He's just narrating his own
evening here. It's AFAM looking at this show
in 4D, as you see, by the way, looking trying to figure out
about the road ahead. We we somewhat try to avoid
(45:01):
talking about politics on this show, but there are times when
political references and football go together so well.
And agreeing to pay tariffs on our Canadian quarterback.
Dang it, absolutely, absolutely a top 10.
(45:21):
Moment. Well, it was then like honorable
benches, but that's it. A Lee joke.
By the way, hand in hand with that.
Does APM talk about the show being in 4D?
Did you see Kamala Harris talking about playing 3D chess?
And it's like, no, it's chess iscertainly not played in 3D.
(45:42):
You, you could say it's played in 2D maybe, or like it's really
played in, like it's, it's played in at least 4 dimensions,
maybe 5. Because there's, you know, your,
your third dimension is like time and your 4th dimension is
like the possibilities, which absolutely applies in chess.
And it's like, you know, like the the only you pretty much can
(46:04):
only say that chess is not played in 1D or 3D, but
otherwise like 2D4D5D, even 6D all applicable anyways.
So, but yes, the running bits ofthe the tariff one's really good
and that will continue the redacted energy, of course, a
(46:25):
great running bit that we continue to have Ed policy
always, always obviously Ed policy based episode that things
running and then well, I mean, Imean literally we end every
episode saluting Ed policy. So it really is the greatest
running joke on this show. Wait, what is this?
(46:48):
What is this? Drew says.
Ever played nightmare chess? What's nightmare chess?
I don't know, but I'm gonna lookit up.
I'm definitely my wife and I have gotten to be really big
fans of all the different alternate Uno games.
Night with AK, interesting. Oh nightmare with AK.
(47:10):
So nightmare chess is played with cards?
Fantasy chess variant Sounds like it's a translation of a
French game called. I'm not going to try and
pronounce that. Never mind when I hear cards and
dueling, I hear it's time to duel.
If nobody knows what that is, I'm sorry.
(47:30):
I apologize greatly for that. I don't even know what that is.
But you don't know. That's Yu-gi-oh you.
Don't know what that is. Oh.
Look, didn't last week's episodewas last week's episode was
teaching me Pokémon? You're going to have to teach me
whatever the heck Yu-gi-oh is. Now I know a lot less about
Yu-gi-oh. No, I don't.
(47:52):
I, I really hate to say that I have that.
I have seen that more recently than I've seen.
Like, you know what, Maybe it shouldn't.
I shouldn't say I've seen that more recently than like, Lord of
the Rings movies, which is a badthing to say.
(48:13):
I am a massive Lord of the Ringsand Tolkien fan.
Yeah, that just means I've seen it.
I've seen Yu-gi-oh. This is Yu-gi-oh.
Yes, Yes. Is Yu-gi-oh this person's name?
His name is, is Yugi Moto, the pharaoh who spirit lives in his
(48:35):
Millennium Puzzle necklace is called the AMI.
I really should stop talking. The game is called Dual
Monsters. OK?
It's not even Yugioh's not the game.
The game is called Dual Monsters.
OK, So, yeah, these were big. These were big in the like,
early 2000s. I trust you, but I don't even
(48:58):
recognize this. I've heard this.
I guess I've heard the word to an online game.
The I had the app to play the game for a long time.
I'm going to ask you a question,OK?
And it's probably going to make you wait, wait, wait, wait.
Certainly going to make someone. No, no, no, no.
Are you still? Is it?
You want to ask what those things are?
(49:21):
I want to ask, is this the same thing as Magic the Gathering?
Because these cards look like, well, I don't know if it is it.
Maybe it is. Oh, it is because Drew says I
was a Magic the Gathering player.
Maybe that is how that works. It's the same thing, isn't it?
Maybe. Should I ask ChatGPT?
Oh no, now the chat's mad at me.It's not Yu-gi-oh.
(49:45):
Same thing. As did you open the can of
worms? Here we go.
Differences between Magic the Gathering and Yu-gi-oh.
OK, you know what? If there is a video about this,
then it's close enough that it'snot an unforgivable question.
It's not Adam, Huddle says. It's not the same, Afam says
(50:06):
Pretty sure. I mean, I think it was anime.
Nowadays I think it was a manga,yeah.
But. I mean, blue eyes, white dragon.
Great card. Is this what Blue Eyes White
Dragon is? I know Blue Eyes White Dragon
from what about Exodia? From what Exodia is?
(50:28):
PewDiePie did. He did a rap and he said I'm
Blue Eyes White Dragon and I waslike, oh, I guarantee that's a
nerd reference. Yeah.
Dark Magician. Slight Magician.
Yeah, he's just keeping. He says.
What about the wives? Like Dragon?
You're just dark Magician. Wow, that's unbelievable.
(50:49):
Like Peyton on dark position. It's from his song B Word
Lasagna. This is a excellent song.
This is I'm. I'm nerdy enough to be super
into Lord of the Rings and Tolkien lore and everything and
this is too. Are you serious?
(51:11):
You didn't click on this. What?
The game. Everyone just lost the game.
Oh, my gosh, JJ, are you serious?
But that's not part of Yu-gi-oh.No, it's not.
That's much more important. And now everyone, you know, if
you hadn't called watching is lost.
You hadn't called it out. I no went.
Everybody saw it. I wasn't looking at it.
(51:33):
Nobody would have commented. What do you mean you clicked on
it? I wasn't looking at it.
You had to have seen it to clickon it.
I I didn't read it. What?
All right, but yeah, we need we need to get out of the out of
the manga. I also so last, last honorable
mention. Obviously, I I already we talked
(51:54):
about rejected energy bit the Taylor Elgar elders butt joke.
But I also put episode 1 of the honorable mentions just because
it had a lot of structure. It makes it's not even you.
You guys listened to that one and then listened to like 2
through 6 and you'll be like allright, this what happened?
(52:15):
You haven't heard that one, by the way, Wicks, Brooks, Watson,
obviously love like there were there were so many guys like
driving the bus for Tom, you know all the Wyatt like they're.
(52:36):
It was really good 'cause this was just after we actually was
talking about three players. We were not yeah, this is just
talking about players. Yeah.
This is just after the 2023 draft and so so yeah, we were
all high on our various players that we thought were we're about
to break out. It's a good one.
Dirischel has a great topic for us for a a future episode or
(52:58):
maybe this episode later. Greatest movie trilogies of all
time. For sure do that.
Oh, I have we got to do that at the end.
We're doing it today at the end of this show.
Yep. Let's let's do it for episode
100. I love it.
Oh I remember this one, Dershow says.
What episode was the one that Jake hit his face in his hands
for like 10 minutes straight? Ryan and Jake were laughing.
(53:20):
I remember the moment. I don't remember what happened.
That's probably what I missed. That's probably just going to be
an absolute egregious mistake onthe on the top 10.
I don't know, you know what rename the Tush Push might be.
That might be when it was because there were some Tush
Push alternate names that offended you royally, so that
(53:42):
might have been. No one of them.
'S in the top ten though that's in the top ten.
I will say the other there's onemore JJ that I had to yeah
include here. It was it was hard honestly I'm
I'm moving this to 10 and then 9B is going to be what what what
you just mentioned So what we'regoing to start with the top 10
(54:06):
so we can get this thing rolling'cause I are we still at
honorable mentions or we still this we're going to the top 10
now there's going to be 11 things in here but that's fine
I, I OK #10 episode 6 dunking onthe bears plus JJ gets greedy.
OK, this is where JJ the donation asking began This is
(54:28):
where oh, we need a donation forthis blah blah blah.
You know, I keep it in check Now.
I by the way, please donate. There's a QR up on the screen
for Venmo. Send us money.
The I'm almost out of redacted energies and I really need some
more. Also, I need some more hats.
(54:48):
All right, I had to bust out theMountain Dew hat because I can't
afford the, the hat that I really want.
And I've been looking at it. My missus Leahy will vouch that
I was looking at hats for a little while earlier yesterday
today, because I really want a hat.
The donos, you know, they're just tough economy.
(55:11):
So oh, holy crap. I just, I didn't realize we hold
on. We missed, we did miss a huge
dono. I'm so sorry, Drew.
Oh my gosh, huge dono, $30.00 from Drew.
I'm so sorry that I missed this $30.00 from Drew with a note.
It says happy 100. Thank you drew I'm glad you're
(55:32):
still here Thank you so much in the chat.
Do you know how sick I would feel if if Drew had like had to
go and he was not here? If only changed the I'm sorry,
I'm busy creating content for you guys, and that one's good
talking to you. Sorry that I'm not.
I got to grab. I got to grab one of my redacted
energies because of that one. I'm going to grab one.
Right, you should you should alltimer moment, by the way, was
(55:56):
when Jake pick me up from the airport and he had a a redacted
energy right there in the car for me, one of my favorite
flavors. And then so we go to our game
and then it's a long drive back to his house after the game and
like we get home and we're just like dead tired and he opens up
(56:18):
his fridge and there's another redacted energy right there in
the fridge for me. And I'm like, see, This is why
you're the greatest. Co host of all time.
Derschel says pretty sure JJ missed my dono a week or two
ago. Let's see, here we have.
Oops, OK, there's a dono on October 28th and the comment
(56:38):
says the Tyron Hopper Mock Draftfund.
I definitely read that one out loud because we did the Tyron
Hopper mock draft, did we not? Jake?
Oh, new dono from Aaron, Kate, my Mama.
A redacted energy drink for eachof you.
Thank you Like this dodos are dodos are coming in hot.
(57:00):
We're going to be able to affordit, says dodo.
And then this starts going on. This is why this is number 10
episode 20, which we're going totalk about in in in the near ish
future. I remember this vividly.
It was the second time Ravage was on in a span of three weeks,
and it was $10 JJ, $10.00 for Jake to talk and to talk about a
(57:26):
prospect. It was like $1.00 for Bat to do
a shot. Oh, my God.
And there were other other things there.
And so, yeah. And so like there was a big, big
deal with that. And so I, I do remember that
there was plenty of that of likeJJ asking, you know, we'll give
(57:47):
takes on this if you donate, we'll do this if you donate,
like all that stuff. So that episode 6 is where that
started. And that has been one of the
longest running pits in the, andwe did of this show, we did
sponsored olive oil shots. People donated money.
So we would do shots of olive oil, J JS just J JS Andre just
(58:07):
spoiling the top ten like we're just Ryan was so mad at us for
that one. He was so grossed out and mad
about that one. OK, look, it's not my fault that
you're taking so long to get to it.
We do have in the comments, though, So a little bit for
this. I said I finally temporarily
wonder if it was Brad a model comment now goof cart chick
wasn't me. I don't know who Ryan Day is and
(58:29):
I don't say chick Dershel already claimed comment for or
credit for that. He did.
OK, so he did that. Dershel says it was OK.
Perfect, you said. Also, you know I'm the one who
coined the term. The nickname is Zach Tom
Bommadil. That's a good name.
That's really good. Well, Jake, really good.
The other running bits is obviously before we continue
(58:51):
into the onto the bits of the redacted energy.
But all that stuff tool for thisoffice jokes.
We're we're I've been awesome. He's all time great, all time
from the beginning. So that is really good.
All right, 9B episode 9 renamingthe tush push.
I remember the by the name that I lost my mind laughing so hard
(59:13):
when we got to it right. That is episode 9, right.
Can you Scroll down on that screen?
It is episode 9. It is not losing my mind.
OK, Yep, Yep. So the the one that I think we
lost our vine laughing at was the back Blast.
That one. That one is.
Yeah, that's if you want to heargenuine reactions to what that
(59:37):
came up. So I think we started looking
and asking the robot for for other suggestions.
That's amazing. That reminds me back blast.
I just introduced hysterical. I just introduced my dad to
Caleb Presley, and we were watching his interview with
Gronk, and Caleb asks Gronk. He's like, is it true that you
(59:59):
got your back blown out by Earl Thomas?
And Gronk is just like he, he's just speechless.
And my dad's like, what does that mean?
I'm, I'm having to sit there andexplain to my dad, what, getting
your back blown out. The reverse talk.
Yeah, like, thanks. Talk in reverse.
Appreciate you. Appreciate you.
Yeah, that's great #9A is episode 42.
(01:00:23):
JJ mentioned it. This one in the title, Big O
line, olive, olive oil chug I think is what's great.
Yeah, Packard Net video game plus Big O line and chugging
olive oil. That one impressive stuff.
Talking about a Packard net video game, but also just yeah,
Big O line. That was hysterical.
(01:00:45):
This is one of my favorites. I've rewatched just the the big
old line movement is hysterical.Big government, blah, blah,
blah. You you know, you can put big in
front of stuff. Big oil.
That's definitely big old line is back.
Every watch big old line is yeah.
What And what was the theory we were pushing?
What was the theory we were pushing about what big O line
was was doing? I think that sacks, oh, the
(01:01:08):
sacks were a quarter or I think the sacks something like this.
No, because that would make sense because sacks are a, we
say sacks are a quarterback statand other people say sacks are
offensive line stat. Yeah, I don't know.
You'll have to. You'll have to find out and see.
The olive oil one did get out ofthe hand.
Win rate This this one got out of the hand.
(01:01:31):
It did Olive oil shine was so mad show.
We were sprinting around trying to do that.
That was that was a wild one, folks.
He only did a couple more episodes after that and then he
had to retire. I wonder if it's I wonder if it
was because of the olive oil shots.
He was. He was.
Cheating, mad and it's over there.
Not a not a good deal. Hey, you know what though?
You and I split the dono for that and did not share because
(01:01:51):
he did not earn any of that donobecause because he did not do.
Olive oil shots. #8 is not an episode necessarily, but #8 is
the tier lists. OK, the wheel spins.
All of that is a classic to thisshow of like the tier lists that
we put together of drafting our least favorite NFL teams,
(01:02:13):
drafting the least favorite college teams, obviously ranking
GM's head coaches, ranking our own Green Bay's own team right,
doing all of that. That has been a, a big part of,
of what has, has kind of been the more recent part of, of this
show of just, all right, we got tears that we did the other day.
(01:02:34):
Was it salad dressings? Oh, it was pizza toppings we
made, we did tears that were pizza toppings.
And then we put team logos. We were ranking team logos, team
logos. Which pizza topping were they?
We've done a lot of of logo ranking and frankly there's,
there's still a couple sports out there that we haven't done
(01:02:55):
the the logo rankings for yet. So that that's definitely a
series we'll need to conclude. In the offseason.
I I think #8 this is the only episode that's going to appear
twice on the top ten and you'll figure out why.
But episode 20? How about dem Cowboys after
Jordan Love and the gang roll into Big D and dominate and was on
(01:03:21):
this episode. I'm Ramage was on this.
Blaine was also on this show because we were talking about
Packernet merch and we and we were in Microsoft Paint.
Either you or someone else was putting together the cheese
grater with a logo. No, this is Photoshop.
This is me Photoshop with the cheese grater.
So just utterly insane stuff. We actually did make picks for
the Niner game. Spoiler alert, only one person
(01:03:44):
got it right. I don't know who that is.
You'll have to go. You'll have to go listen and
find out who made the correct call on that, but, well, you
don't have to. No, we don't have to do.
Let's see here. Too old for this cowbell.
Too old for this cowbell. Oh, my gosh.
(01:04:06):
Yeah. So there you go.
A bunch of crap on my screen. There are some picks for that
game. Look at the cowbell.
Oh, it's amazing. Greater, greater cowbell.
Yep. Did you get that's what I'm
talking about. Yeah.
I can't believe I picked the Packers to win.
Why did I pick the Packers to win that?
I don't know, man. Everybody else did.
(01:04:27):
And I was like, I'm going to make sure we don't get ratioed.
Let's let's just make sure we pick 19. 991999 for the cowbell.
There you go. And then in fine print, it says
+7999 for shipping. Jeez.
(01:04:47):
Excellent stuff. See numbers #7 that was a really
good one. Number six.
OK, This one is actually if you go quote UN quote, watch it.
If you go quote UN quote, watch it.
It is just audio. It is episode 10 College
(01:05:07):
football, sex, politics and religion.
Oh yeah. OK.
So is there's a lot of the one that we did, is this the one
that we we did it like on your stream yard way back in the day
I believe or is this a different1?
I don't know if this was the I don't think this was the first
realignment like this. OK, realignment.
(01:05:29):
I think this was like the realignment in practice.
What are we seeing? Like this is all about to begin
type of thing, right? This was when it was like about
to start, like we were going to I think get to a bunch of that
so amazing. Or it was when they maybe when
they announced the structure of the 12 team playoff.
(01:05:49):
I don't know there there's a lotin that one.
It is it it it's got a lot of jokes, all that good stuff.
I'll I'll have to go back and listen to that one.
One thing that you and I have been sad about is that the video
no longer exists of our first ever podcast that we did
(01:06:09):
together. We did a one off episode about
college football realignment. It was like a breaking news
because USC and UCLA were joining the Big 10 and I
desperately wanted to talk aboutthe topic with somebody.
And you were like, hey, I'll do that.
(01:06:33):
That sounds good and like, cool, whoever you are, hop in here and
let's talk. And we did it.
And we got to the end of like our hour or hour and a half or
two hours, however long we did. And we were like.
Do we need to do a? Podcast together, like on the
regular 'cause this was a blast and think it is.
(01:06:54):
We made that happen. Because.
Do you remember when the announcement was 'cause I'm, I'm
looking when, when they were, itwas like summer of 22.
I thought that they were like, oh, we are here.
It is July 1st emergency collegefootball pod, USC and UCLA
(01:07:15):
joining the Big 10. So, so there's an audio is an
hour and 10 minutes and I think we talked for like another hour
after we, after we finished. There was a lot, there was a lot
packed into that one that was like not a obviously it was just
a pod. There was no derailing of from
the chat and all of that, that one, there's a lot of good stuff
in there about college football if, if you're into that, that
was, that was a good stuff. I do vividly remember 'cause we
(01:07:39):
were trying to game out what therest of the Big 10 realignment
would look like, 'cause we, we felt strongly that we wanted the
Big 10 to get to exactly 20 teams.
And so Oregon and Washington made perfect sense as like the
next two. And then that happened in real
life. And then I was, I was pushing
hard that that the Final four needed to be Notre Dame, Cal,
(01:08:06):
Stanford. And who was the last one?
I think it was Pitt, right? Think Pitt was the other one.
No, that could be that could be.I, I know, I know a lot of time
when I have when I've tried to get out who, who a final team
would be like. I, I keep getting drawn to North
Carolina or one of the ACC Florida schools, which I think
(01:08:32):
we talked about Florida State and Clemson both in this not
necessarily for the Big 10, but I believe we mentioned them for
the SEC as well. If they were going to be, you
know, Clemson, Famous Florida. School.
Yeah. Well, yeah.
Well, OK, fair, fair. I think I have to put this
question to you a bunch of TimesNow.
(01:08:54):
Would you see Miami or Florida State as being more of a big 10
bit? Because if you're trying to
think like, you know, the, the number one thing that that the
conference would care about is revenue.
That's the number one thing. But they also, they still really
care about prestige and you know, blue blood like that, that
(01:09:15):
matters too. And I think you would really say
Florida State is probably more of a pure blue blood than Miami
is. But Miami probably makes more
money. I, I here's, here's I think my,
I think my thought on this is Florida State feels and
epitomizes to me more of an SEC school than a Big 10 school.
(01:09:35):
And to me, Miami feels like, oh,think about what we could bring,
But like if obviously if they got Notre Dame right, could
bring, Oh my gosh, we're bringing that to the Big 10,
Miami, Notre Dame, but also Miami, Ohio State, we can bring
Miami, Ohio State back. Like those matchups.
Gosh, Oh my gosh, we can do that.
Like that I I think would be a massive throw.
It feels, feels right to me thatthose two would go.
(01:09:58):
You know, you know how many times I've said like, you know,
I really want Notre Dame and Michigan and USC and Cal all in
the same conference. You can get those, you know,
that cluster of rivalry together.
And like we're further away fromthat ever happening now because
like Notre Dame just keeps digging in their heels more and
(01:10:20):
more. Like like they were asked about
this recently. Yeah, joining conference.
And then as of today now Michigan is talking about
leaving the Big 10 when the grant of rights is up and how
like they are not interested in extending, you know, their
membership of the of the grant of rights emergency pod for
this. We'll see.
(01:10:41):
I, I forget if it's I, I think it's it, it runs through 2036
currently. And then the rest of the is
trying to extend an additional 10 years like right now out to
2046. And Michigan's like absolutely
dug in their heels like they're not agreeing to an additional 10
years right now. That's fair.
(01:11:01):
That's interesting. Something worth potentially
talking about. OK, perfect, perfect.
Little break in there between 10through 6 and then fine.
Do you mind if we do a new segment presented by REDACTED?
Sure. All right, this this segment is
called, What's the next thing onour on our top ten countdown.
(01:11:24):
OK, great sponsor reject or great sponsor Redacted Energy
wants to make sure we get to OK #5 the most recent possible
memory. Episode 99 crashing out.
My gosh, I got comments about this and messages about this.
(01:11:44):
Did you? So crashing out tiger Shanks,
migraines and teaching JJ Pokémon.
Yeah, I got some messages about this of like, man, I don't think
I've heard you this upset you know talking about a game and I
yeah I mean this was, you know, JJ kind of you know, put it out
(01:12:04):
there Tuesday morning of like the the DMS Jake has said to me
right now I can't the DMS and the Packers draft Twitter chat
are I think I think there was a vegetables eat your vegetables
tweet that someone shared. I went all caps Josh Simmons
would also be eating your vegetables.
I was losing it after that game. You know, when I when I came out
(01:12:27):
of the studio, my my wife says so I thought you had a migraine.
I'm like, yeah, she's like you were yelling at the top of your
lungs in there. Are you sure you had a migraine?
And I'm like, it made the migraine a lot worse.
Man. Packer crashing out.
That was and, and by the way, thumbnail, honestly, it's so
(01:12:49):
good. It's so good for this one.
Also, JJ, that's a, you know, not to, you know, get off track
because obviously we're going todo that anyway.
That's the number 2 most viewed crashing out is yeah, on the
channel. It's #2 holy moly, yeah, yeah,
(01:13:11):
that's wild. It has passed potentially
another one on the list, but it,I mean, man, holy moly, that's
high. JJ.
That was like at that the the next morning, it was like really
close to that number. Now, I mean, we would have to we
would have to go trade for another Hall of Famer to surpass
(01:13:32):
probably our highest viewed of all time.
But the fact that that's the second highest viewed of all
time, that's wild. Yeah, that's wild.
It is. OK Dershow says 4.
We're going to get there. I think you mean who is number
1? Dershow?
You mean who is number 1? Do the do the celebration #4
(01:13:56):
Matt Ramage, great guests and other guests too.
We've had we've had Mike and andBrian have been on before.
When JJ had to step out, we did a little draft episode.
Joe is upset that we haven't hadhim on yet.
I need to I need to interview. A little bit.
(01:14:17):
Joe, because I didn't vet Mike well enough and I let Jake bring
a Wolverines fan on my podcast to spell propaganda.
So I need to Hey, just remember I also brought him I like so if
I thought it too right, I know that I know they're number one
for you and most hated teams, but they're up there for me as
(01:14:39):
well. And so I still I still
committed. What did we do our most hated
teams because we already looked at that.
Just that was that was episode. 35 or something.
Else I think it was like 6. Wait a minute, this is horrible.
Look, it was oh, look at this 123 and 64 episodes later, we
have a Michigan fan on the pod. It's like 61, right?
(01:15:02):
62 it's horrible. We might need to add the I did
back in the titles because I'm like counting backwards from 100
and like doing all that. I had to like double check.
So so the ones that were on the on the previous channel are
numbered. Yeah, which is nice.
And then I maybe I should go in and add the baby.
(01:15:22):
I can also. Do it too, but.
The I had fun making this thumbnail though.
Hold on where it is right? Here so this one because you
remember I was talking about howI had to make all these missing
person thumbnails for the episodes that you and and and
Ryan were missing and so I had fun finally putting myself into
(01:15:43):
one for the first time. This is the only episode of the
derailed in show history that I did not make an appearance on.
Including the one where I had the flu and the one where I had
the migrate. And the one where I had to move
my recording studio mid live stream and migrate to a
different room so I could keep going because we're doing a 5
(01:16:06):
hour live stream. And including a very merry
derailed miss that I had to do like in the in the kitchen with
like family doing Christmas activities all around me.
This is the only one I missed. And it's it's because I I've,
(01:16:26):
I've done some yeah, I've done, I, I have, I, I think done
derailed in six different states.
JJ what about a state of insanity?
Well, that, that was state of denial.
That was episode 99. That was insanity denial.
I think that we can find one that that that state was.
(01:16:47):
In I found a few of them. But I have done them in Arizona,
Florida, where the draft starts,of course, Alabama.
Maybe, maybe it'll have maybe might happen.
It might happen in Texas this time.
Just letting you know, just putting some stuff out there.
Might have one from live from Texas to be looking at some
other individuals. Here's my, here's our our mobile
(01:17:08):
AL thumbnail. I think we can get away with
that now 'cause now it's the Panini Senior Senior Bowl is no
longer the Reese's Senior Bowl, which is lame.
Oh my goodness, that stinks. That stinks.
We'll never forget. Coolest Senior Bowl memory ever.
In the hotel where the players are at just chilling, walking
around, hanging out. Dan Marino picks some Reese's
(01:17:29):
out of a bowl and says these things are incredible, right?
Like just randomly to me and my buddy who were down there, Like,
are you serious? Yeah, that was a pinch me
moment. But OK, so #4 was Matt Ramage,
right? We had episode 18, which it you
know, you wouldn't know if you go down to episode 18, you
wouldn't think he was on it because I don't think it was
(01:17:50):
like it might not be mentioned the title, but man, hilarious
episode. Yeah, you would not know he was
on this. It's amazing that we didn't
click on it. We didn't put his his face or
his name, right. Something this I yeah, look,
there he is. He's right off the bat.
Also also also, can we pause? Can we pause really quick and
(01:18:12):
Scroll down to when this president Malik Neighbors fan.
Yeah, we need to talk about this.
This was pre I think this was before the playoffs in 20 after.
Yeah, this was this was five months before the NFL draft.
I'm claiming the president of Malik Neighbors fan club
forever. OK, I'm claiming it forever.
I mean, I don't know if you can,man.
You're the one who cursed Malik Neighbors with a whatever his
(01:18:36):
ACL or whatever. He no John Mayer and Woody
Johnson cursed him because that field is is awful.
You see Warren Brinson's tweet? First time playing on concrete,
huh? Yeah, he tweeted that was funny.
Yeah. OK, so I'm not taking any blame
for that. The field is nonsense.
I was. I we said it last week.
Just please get out of that game.
Healthy beg. I'll take a loss if everyone's
(01:18:58):
healthy. And of course now Josh Jacobs is
is banged up because his knee hit concrete and they'll never
fix it because they're dumb. Oh, except for when the World
Cup's coming here because they don't want people to get hurt.
Right. Right.
That was that was the sport thatyou have in your country and
your country alone. You don't care.
(01:19:19):
OK, put America first in my butt.
Anyway, not to get political or anything.
OK. But yes, this episode 18, I was
horribly I'll for this episode. And I will say I barely got
words in. Matt Ravitch came on 2 episodes
later and apologized for interrupting me a bunch.
(01:19:42):
And I basically, you were like, I didn't want.
I, I was like, you can even kindof almost see my face right now
as we're starting the recording of like usually when we start
the recording, you could tell I'm kind of like a little
upbeat, ready to ready to roll type of thing.
And that one, you can immediately tell like, oh,
something's wrong. Death warmed over.
Yeah, you'd be like, oh, something's wrong.
(01:20:03):
Is he good? And so lot of great laughs.
The Katie joke made its first appearance.
That was his. That was unbelievably
hysterical. I kind of forgot this.
This is the one. Yeah, I think this is the one
that I had by hand. I think so.
I, I think I have my, my face inmy hands for like 10 minutes
(01:20:23):
laughing so hard. So episode 18, hilarious.
He was off for episode 20 again. That was really, really fun.
And he was off for episode 93 pre Dallas Cowboys game this
year, which was a blast as well.I talked about baby oil that one
and that made the title. So you know, 1820 and 93 ones.
(01:20:44):
You should absolutely rewatch 18, especially I I don't think
there are there are definitely videos that are entertaining and
funny where you kind of like smirk or chuckle a little bit
when you're watching it. There are certain videos and
certain channels that I watch where I am I am dying laughing.
(01:21:06):
And this is one of them, I promise you.
This one. Yeah.
Yeah. There's a moment where we just
utterly lost it. And it was, it was incredible.
So yeah, there are very few things, even, especially my own
content, where I'm like, oh, yeah, that's hilarious.
You know, type of thing. Like in the moment it's funny,
(01:21:28):
but when you're watching yourself laugh, you're kind of
like, oh, that's weird. This was one of them for sure.
So definitely check that out. OK, Top three, now this, we're
getting serious. We're getting really serious.
I, I'm, I'm feeling, I'm clenching up.
I'm, I'm nervous. Do you have a prediction for
what the top three is, JJ? I should think, put it in your
(01:21:51):
mind. I think put it in your mind and
see if you have all three. I think just come up.
I think I know what number one is.
I think, I think #1 is the no brainer.
I think I agree number one was ano brainer for me.
Like like #1 I think I think everybody would unanimously have
the same number one. I think so.
(01:22:11):
And I think it's got. And if you don't have the same
number one, I think you just weren't there for that episode.
Well, like I just, I don't, I don't even know what else would
be. Maybe we don't agree.
Oh boy. We might not agree what number 1
is maybe. Yeah, I played, I played on
(01:22:33):
nostalgia, I think maybe. And the this I think I played on
the spirit of the show versus like the best episode perhaps.
But we'll see. We'll see.
JJ, you have it in your mind. Keep it there.
I, I, I think I have my top two.OK.
And I'm not sure what the, what the, what the number one would
be, or I mean, what the number 3would be.
I might have to get to #3 because #3 also a recent
(01:22:55):
episode. OK.
You may not know this. If you don't know this, it is
the #3 most viewed on the channel right now.
Five hours, 5 hour Micah Parsonsto the Packers speculation
stream. We streamed for five hours.
We did a mock draft if we trade for Parsons and if we don't, we
(01:23:19):
did that. We watched Kay Adams tweet, we
watched John Coon tweet Micah freaking Parsons live on the
show. That thing was a long, long
episode. I do not blame you if you have
not watched and listened to the whole thing.
But I'll tell you what, that wasa lot of fun debating, you know,
is this a good idea? Is it not?
You know, it was funny 'cause wewere, we were definitely you did
(01:23:42):
not want to talk about Parsons at all.
And like, I remember Bruce Edmonds kept getting in the chat
and trying to get us. Oh yeah, this was our 55 roster
prediction show. On top of it, we didn't look at
this amazing thumbnail. This is our amazing thumbnail of
like goody cutting players. OK, and we we tried to stay on
topic and Bruce and other peoplekept coming in and saying like,
(01:24:05):
you know, hey, cram it with yourfreaking 53 man prediction.
Nobody cares because is this happening?
And so it finally we were like, we have to we have to do this.
We have to just stay up until weknow whether this is real or
not. We were looking at our, our, our
(01:24:26):
enriched uranium, blah, blah, blah, all of that because of
these fifth three man rosters coming out, right?
So we were looking at that. And so if you go to about 236 in
a live show, gosh, that's what that's I think a couple minutes
or a few minutes after that is when I see the tweet.
And we bring the tweet up at around like 238.
(01:24:48):
I think it is 238 is when we bring the tweet up from a great
episode. You're right.
I think I have sunburn there also.
I'm pretty sure. Yeah.
When John Kuhn, look at your look at your sunburned forehead.
Oh, my God. So I was sunburned for this one
for sure. And then look at that.
Yeah. So 238 is, I think when we bring
the tweet up of of John Kuhn. So about 236 is when I'm
(01:25:09):
starting to look at it and be like, oh, you are joking.
Because the John Kuhn tweet changed everything for us.
And we were like, all right, we're not going to bed tonight.
I can't believe I'm how many people stayed on too.
We were too AM 'cause like the chat was obvious.
We're going crazy. We passed like a 1200 I think on
Twitter. Yeah, look at this, doing these
(01:25:31):
nonsense. We're doing box drafts of 4 1/2
hours into a show, man, just to have something on screen for
people while we're continuing totalk about the mica thing.
I know, I know, or because I knew it was a big trade but did
not realize how much Parsons wasgoing to.
I mean, it changes everything changes everything had to be #3
(01:25:53):
for sure. All right.
So I, I think, I think we, we got to be unanimous on what the
top 2 are, though I think the top 2, at least in no particular
order, it was easy. The top 2 was easy.
And I think 3 through 6, three through 5 I think were
interesting. And then I think 7 through 10
kind of rounded out. It was it was easier to kind of
put them in tears, strangely enough, and then put them into
(01:26:15):
physical rankings. Mind if we do a new segment
presented by Redacted? Sure.
What do you got? This is called Appreciate this
thumbnail. Yeah.
Hobbs just destroying Barshad Lloyd.
Yes. In practice, 8 fans to five
hours energy. We needed five hours energy.
That would have been the perfectsponsor for that.
(01:26:36):
Yeah. If we could have gotten that
episode sponsored by 5 Hour Energy.
The big One Number two, episode 41 OK.
Episode 41. Episode 41 is number 2.
You want to Scroll down to it, JJ, to see what we have for
episode 41. This this was my number one
Godzilla's rasa new Packers political party and what was the
(01:27:01):
last bit of the title there and Finding Dory should never have
been made. And by the way, my SO my
daughter has been pestering me all week to watch Finding Dory
with her. And I keep telling her like I
pick any other movie, I will never watch Finding Dory.
And so then I came home the other day and she said, hey dad,
I watched Fighting Dory without you while you were gone.
And a part of me was a little bit sad that I was like you of
(01:27:26):
all people would have talked me into watching it for you.
What? Can you can.
You. Speaking of, before we get to
our number 2 description and #1 we're doing a new segment
presented by Redexion. Yes.
What are the top 3 movies you and your daughter have watched
together? Do you have a top three?
Do you have like a, a definitivetop three?
Is there definitive 1? Is it, you know, it's a great
(01:27:46):
question. What stands out?
It's a great question. She loves Spider Man and she
loves Star Wars. Which spider man?
Any of them or just like so so contact.
She's three years old. Sure.
There is a show on Disney Plus that's like made for toddlers
and it's called like Spidey and his amazing friends and oh that
(01:28:07):
yeah, OK. It's it's starting to become a
really big thing rolling. Through.
Disney Plus, yeah. And and so she loves that.
But like, we watched Spider Man 2 with Doc Ock.
She liked that one. There's a there's a show,
another show on Disney Plus called Friendly Neighborhood
(01:28:31):
Spider Man. It's actually very, very good
and she likes. That I like that one a lot too.
I really struggle to watch the the toddler Spidey and his
amazing friends show so she kindof watches.
That one by herself, but. That's fair.
Dershow says Terminator 2 Judgement Day should be on the
list or it's invalid. JJ that's fair tool for this
(01:28:52):
says at what age do you show herLord of the Rings?
You know, here's the problem. There is enough Lord of the
Rings that is elf language and they there's subtitles on the
screen that we need to wait for her to be able to read so she
knows what's going on in those. Scenes.
I had a guess for the age, but what, what's your what, what age
(01:29:15):
I was going to go like I was going to say like 10-11.
That's when I that's when I got.Introduced to it?
Yeah, definitely. Not Drew said you guys should
play the game marvel snap it's acard game of all marvel heroes
I'm. Sorry.
You said 6-7. Yeah, I'm sorry.
(01:29:37):
You hate that joke. Oh, Dirchell got in there too.
I, I, I do. But, you know, we said the
average game lasts only about 6 or 7 minutes.
I, I, you know, I don't, I didn't like it, but I, I do at
least from there was this one tweet I saw of like some guy
goes, yeah, but this is like, here's why I like this.
Everybody's included on it. It's not like a joke that feels
(01:30:00):
like it's it's and inside one orexcludes anybody like everybody
can do this. And I was like, oh, you know
what, that's awesome. So let's yeah, so like I'm I'm
bought in. I I will buy into this.
I I think we said this on the the show the week after we did,
we we went to the Illinois Ohio State game of we got got by
(01:30:23):
Bruce on Twitter because we posted a picture and I have a
jersey of Josh Ferguson, number six in Illinois and and JJ has a
7. So we got got by Bruce there and
we were walking back to the car and a kid in a car also got us
with that as well. So he leaned out the window and
yelled. Six of them.
Yeah. So I need to do Illinois jersey
(01:30:44):
that was. That was that's that's that's
the. It's a big take away, which, I
mean, I should get a Devin Witherspoon anyway.
But. That's true.
You should. Do you mind if we do a new
segment presented by Redacted? Yes.
Is it get to #2 please. It's it's, it's called Iowa.
Joe doesn't actually want to be on our podcast.
(01:31:05):
Dang whoa, this comment by him, I can't even read this.
It's so disrespectful, I can't even.
Whoa. All right, yeah, give us, give
us, give us your number one. I mean the number two really
quickly. Obviously I thought you said
Godzilla was number 2. I did, but we didn't really talk
about it. Like the new Packers political
party was hilarious, by the way.Right.
(01:31:26):
That was, I think was this like a start birth of the of the
whole Ed policy thing. It was not.
Because we if you go to episode 38, we have Ed policy day.
So we were already doing so there's an episode I didn't
include this. I would like the folks to go
find if you if you know where itis, that's awesome.
(01:31:51):
If you don't go find when we first made the Ed policy, you
know, joke slash, we're going tomake a day of this.
You know, probably a a solid guess would be or a solid clue
would be whenever we started ending episodes with pictures of
Ed policy every time. Also, yeah, that senior bowl one
(01:32:13):
that you clicked on. I was also sunburned.
So you get sunburned is a running gag as well on this one.
So if people think that you getting sunburn is funny.
So so this one that I don't know.
I can't get the thing on my the two edged sword episode 24.
It's that for sure had an Ed policy at the end, like 580
(01:32:36):
people voted. Yeah, those Super Bowl.
I'm sunburned in that one too. You're always sunburned.
No, that's that's that's in Florida to the late great Ed
policy. I we did one what wide receiver
20 maybe that was the first one 'cause I said in the words of
the late great Ed policy and Ryan, 20% of our spit out his
(01:32:57):
drink and say what, 99% go on. I.
Oh, maybe this was it. I think this might be it.
Episode 23 have another AM stands for super athletic man.
It might be perhaps, but you're gonna have to find out.
But in that episode about Godzilla Ras, obviously there
was the draft was involved in it, but new Packers political
(01:33:18):
party, the cheese party was, was, was pulling itself
together. We were doing a lot of that
stuff. And then we did the Godzilla Ras
thing, which is just honestly incredible.
So I, I, if you have that at 1:00, I understand him because
it's probably the best episode. But to me, I think it didn't
quite encompass everything of like how this show and what this
(01:33:39):
is built around. So the spirit of it, the spirit
of the show is the only reason it's #2 for me.
But an incredible episode. If if you if you were like, all
right, tell me an episode to listen to right now, I would
probably give you 41. I think 41 is the one right now.
Yeah, that I would say go listento.
(01:34:00):
Sure, sure. Number one is the man, not the
myth, the real life legend himself.
Mr. Ed Policy signing off to Ed policy.
Ed Policy Day episodes 38 and 82all over it.
(01:34:20):
Someday I want him on this podcast so bad.
Absolutely happy Ed policy day. We talked about, you know, what
do you grill on Ed Policy Day? Is it a week long on the first
episode, the 1st Ed Policy Day, How long should we celebrate
this? Should we just incorporate it
into July 4th right and have it be a week?
That was a phenomenal discussion.
So I loved it. And then 82, we brought the heat
(01:34:44):
for for year 2. If you don't remember the ending
of that, I recommend to go watchthe ending of that of Ed policy
Day 2025, because that was a banger.
We we crushed it with that. So Ed policy is is had to be at
the top of this list period. So those two episodes
back-to-back are are going to get the number one spot.
(01:35:05):
Now an honorable mention becauseI think it was supposed to be in
the top 10 here and I messed up,but an honorable mention.
I didn't mention the tier lists.I think it should have been a #8
with the tier list and the wheelspins.
But the three of us, JJ doing the mock drafts where you
couldn't pick the same player. So like we did it when Green Bay
(01:35:25):
had the 25th pick right in in 2024, it was like, all right,
you can pick somebody at 25. Whoever goes first, you can't
pick that player and then you snake around.
We went to 41. Whoever got the third pick at 25
would get the first at 41. So those snake drafts, mock
drafts that we did with the three of us were a blast.
That was very, very cool. I, you know, if you want to go
(01:35:46):
check those out and see who did the best in, in the range of
those, that's that's a fun little assignment.
But that was definitely should have been a #8 with the tier
lists and the spinning the wheel, all of that stuff that
just some really, really fun, cool things that that we got to
do over these last 100 episodes. So that should definitely be in
there as well. And, and that's the thing about
(01:36:07):
this is, you know, your jog yourmemory of like, Oh yeah, this
should be included. Oh yeah, this, this, this.
So I think, yeah, it's been quite a ride.
And yeah, there's your top ten. That was, that was a lot of fun
to go through. And we still have a few like
bucket list episodes that I, I want to get to.
And like one of them is someday I want to get too old for this.
(01:36:29):
And Tyler Dershow on here, we'lldo a four wedding crashing.
So yeah, yeah, yeah, when we go Crash Dershow's wedding, we may
have to do that. Missus Dershel is going to be
absolutely livid that we are stealing him away in the middle
of his of his wedding. 2026 for me will will definitely be
wedding season. If we're going.
To be actually going to do that, that are like 5 weddings, it'll
(01:36:52):
be 5 weddings. The perception it'll be 5
weddings. If we count that one for me in
in 20. Why why is you're you're
attending 5 weddings that year that would that will count as
the fifth one. Yeah, OK.
And I will be in, in, I think inthree of them.
We won't be in my wedding. I'm not going to.
That's fair. We're not going.
(01:37:13):
Yeah. I, I can't, I can't go back in
time. That's true.
Which is unfortunate. So, yeah, but there's my top
ten. I I don't think I should read
this out loud because I don't probably not.
I wouldn't read it. I don't want Derschel in the
doghouse. No, Derschel.
We don't want to turn him into Brandon Iuke his first couple
seasons in San Francisco. Definitely don't want to do
(01:37:35):
that. Like you're not seeing the field
and, and and the, the, the, thatthis version of that would be
you're not seeing technology, you're not seeing the phone,
right? No more watching derailed.
That's what that's going to be. We can't read it simply cannot
listen. You got to you got to make good
choices with your life, all right?
Don't be like Kyler Murray, all right?
(01:37:56):
Don't call duty your way off of the marriage team, no matter
what, no matter if there's double XP weekend or not.
OK, seriously, dude, I imagine trying to tell somebody who was
like completely out of the loop that people were measuring Tyler
(01:38:21):
Murray's production output and correlating it to Call of Duty
double XP weekends and it was like irrefutable.
Proof. Like there's some people just
out of the loop. It's like when it's like when
Big Cat over on Barstool was talking about NFL fans who don't
(01:38:42):
watch any college football, Likegetting introduced to JJ
McCarthy's game and being like, what the heck is going on with
this guy? And then going and checking out
his college stats And like, you never watched him in college and
he so you just had no idea what he was about.
And you go and look at like his Penn State stats and you're
like, what the heck is this? That's what it's like.
(01:39:05):
It's it's it's the it's the ice water dock of the uninitiated.
All right? This is poor, uninitiated people
and it and if they ever have to get caught up to speed, it just
takes your breath away. AFAM says, what did Kyler do?
(01:39:25):
Yeah, I was just telling you. So when, when, when the double
XP weekends come out for Call ofDuty?
What year was this? 2023, I think is when when
people figured it out. Honestly, it might have been
like earlier than that, but 22. So he was, he was people were
noticing that like every like once a month or something, he
(01:39:48):
would just play just complete dog crap football.
Just atrocious. And then they like went back and
charted every single Call of Duty double XP weekend that had
ever happened since he got drafted.
And it's like, oh, this always happens every time Call of Duty
has double XP. He just doesn't study the game
(01:40:11):
plan or practice or anything. And he just like the worst
possible version of Kyler shows up and he's just like, what?
What's the word I'm looking for?Like.
He's just, there's a word I'm looking for, but he's like, you
(01:40:32):
know what you said to go throughthe motions of the game so he
can get back to playing the gamehe wants to play.
It's true, it's true. I don't get this reference here.
So the the chat is talking aboutto Kyler.
I don't know what this referenceis.
I don't either. It sounds hilarious, though.
(01:40:53):
Someone they will, they will, they will make sure we do have
some actual football questions. People have been trying to get
in. I yeah, there's there's
something because of the playoffrankings that are out that we
have to we have to talk about. I saw, I saw that George is in
the top 4 for the playoff rankings.
(01:41:15):
Do we want to look at this? I have no comment on this.
I you know, I see this and I will not react to it.
I'm not responsible for my takesabout Georgia.
They beat the crud out of Texas.I will say very sick on side
kick that they did. It was not, you could just on
(01:41:35):
side kick. It was, it was a an extremely
cutthroat like 11 minutes of football.
Yeah, yeah. I'm, I'm going to try and try
and accurately recount what happened.
So the ball is on. It's, it's at like Georgia's 35
(01:41:58):
yard line and it's 4th and four,I think.
And Kirby Smart, who does not call plays for offense or
defense and is therefore 100% dialed into game decisions and
talking to his players and beingthe being the driving force
(01:42:24):
behind everything his football team does, which I commend.
And which a man named Ryan Day tool for this took inspiration
from with, with with great results.
And Matt Lafleur should take inspiration from Yeah, Kirby
Smart decides to go for on 4th and four.
(01:42:47):
Then they they convert at at this point in the game, they are
down, what, 7 to 14? I think on that same drive, they
convert another fourth down attempt.
They go ahead and score. They trailed Texas.
Oh yeah, that was 14 to 3. You're saying they're up 14 to
(01:43:11):
3? No, but this is before the half,
so this is what it is. They're maybe they're up 7:00 to
3:00. Maybe they're up 7 to 3.
They're up 7 to 3. Texas.
Yes, that's force forces the 4thdown at AT and George's on their
like their own 35 yard line. They go for it.
Just absolute madman mentality. Yeah, because Kirby Smart
(01:43:35):
absolutely understands Sark, thethe coach of Texas and
understands how to completely demoralize and shred him.
Tulva says Ryan Day should replace steno.
Ryan Day is not accepting an NFLoffensive coordinator job, I can
tell you that. No, if he's going to leave his
(01:43:57):
current job, it would be for an NFL head coaching job.
Yeah, that's true. So yeah, AFM says Packers should
hire Luke Fickle. They have a they have a former
Ohio State coach coaching their defensive coordinator job right
now. They only need another one.
(01:44:17):
You want to coach defensive line.
He could do that. OK, so they score a touchdown.
They're up 14 three at this point.
Then they onside kick and recover it and go score a
touchdown after the half. They maybe when all this
(01:44:38):
started, maybe they were down zero to three.
Maybe this is what it was. So they they, they recover the
onside kick score their second touchdown.
It's the end of the half. They get the ball to start the
second-half. So Texas has not touched the
football since they were up 3 nothing.
(01:45:01):
And now they're down 21 three. And it's like they also Sark's
offense is completely predicatedon running the ball and then and
then using that to set up the play action.
They are down so much they can'trun the ball.
(01:45:22):
And also Georgia's defensive line finally decides to play
well together for the first timeall season.
And I will say Georgia being ranked 4th overall by the
committee right now, I don't know that I want to rank the
(01:45:42):
University of Georgia Bulldogs football team 4th.
But if you want to rank Kirby Smart and Gunner Stockton by
themselves as 4th overall, I actually don't have a problem
with that. OK, I think that George, I think
that Kirby showed me that Georgia is capable of being
(01:46:04):
dangerous in the playoffs. Yeah, I think they're probably
the only SEC team that I really feel that way about besides
like, maybe A&M. But like, A&M has been flirting
with disaster that month. Solid flirting is an
understatement on Saturday and and not just the South Carolina
game, but they've been flirting with with disaster for a month.
(01:46:27):
You think? Do you think Notre Dame beats
them if they play it again? I think right now Notre Dame is
the third best team in the country.
You and I had similar conversations about this a year
ago. You recall this, that I I was
saying that Notre Dame was was playing like the best or second
(01:46:51):
best team in the country. And that was a difficult
conversation to involve you, a noted Notre Dame hater, in in
that conversation. Yes.
But they made a nice, a nice deep playoff push and knocked
off some really good teams alongthe way.
And so I, I feel pretty vindicated with that take last
(01:47:11):
year. And and I'll just say again, I,
I, they certainly have their flaws.
I think their passing game is not excellent, right?
Yeah. But give them the right draw in
the playoffs. I think they could go far.
And I think that they are playing some of the most sound
football of anybody there. There's not a lot of teams in
(01:47:32):
the country that you look look at and see them just handling
their business week after week. Ohio State has been doing that.
Notre Dame has been doing that the last seven weeks and there's
not. And Indiana is obviously doing
that. Actually, no, I take that back.
Indiana is good. I'm not going to say Indiana is
handling their business week after week.
That's not true. They try to lose a couple of
(01:47:56):
those games. Notre Dame has not tried to lose
any games. Ohio State has not tried to lose
any of those games. I, I, I would say a couple other
teams that I would say are potentially very dangerous, like
Texas Tech. I'll say as an Ohio State fan, I
do not want to draw Texas Tech in in the playoffs.
(01:48:19):
That's not a match up that I would be licking my chops for.
Give me like Ole Miss or Alabama.
Give me Alabama. That one-dimensional offense
that cannot run the ball to savetheir lives.
Mediocre defense. Give me Bama.
Oh, let me guess, this is what our current thing looks like.
(01:48:40):
Notre Dame of the 9 potentially playing Ohio State in the second
round if they win. So I I'm kind of like on the
Ohio State side, you got Texas Tech against Georgia.
I probably like Texas Tech in that.
But again, you know, Georgia, you know, very veteran team,
(01:49:04):
excellent quarterback who's a coach that just has a really
good feel for navigating games like that.
I think that would be maybe one of the most exciting games in
the quarterfinals. Ole Miss Miami, miss me with
that 2 two teams that I don't want to watch in the playoffs
(01:49:26):
'cause they are. Do you have a one of them has to
advance important. Do you have a preferred ACC team
instead of Miami? Georgia Tech would be more fun
than Miami. I mean, obviously, you know,
like here's the thing, like Miami, Miami fans would hate me
for saying that, but Miami should not be They don't they
don't watch our our show. Miami is Ruben Bayne and nobody
(01:49:50):
else. There's there's nobody else on
that team. Malanoa offensive line.
They have two. You know what, maybe, maybe
Ruben Bayne can play quarterbackwell behind Malano.
They haven't thought about that. They would actually have a
(01:50:11):
functional offense. It's it's a shame because
actually like they're freshmen. Malachi Tony has thrown the ball
for them with Trick Blaze. Like maybe he's just BQB and
doing a lot of their stuff. Their running backs are pretty
good. But yeah, Beck.
Beck kind of who he thought he was.
(01:50:34):
Alabama. Oregon's a sick game.
Alabama, Oregon. Give me Oregon all day.
Alabama and Oxen would be so cool.
That's so cool so so here's the other I would love this match
Caitlin de Boer Caitlin de Boer as the head coach of Alabama.
Where is he from Washington. I would love to see Caitlin de
(01:50:55):
Boer go up against Oregon. Please give Alabama is is not
prepared to go to alts and and and play in those give give us a
a rainy game something like that.
Oh my gosh, could you manage if there's rain or something?
I think it will maybe it's December.
I bet it rains like Oregon can run it with the best of them in
(01:51:17):
this country and Bama can not gain a yard.
Nobody nobody cares about this, but literally really cool under
his storyline. If this if this stayed like
this, the three top draft eligible quarterbacks amongst
consensus in one little pod here, Simpson, Moore, Mendoza,
all in the same pod who emerges from the pod that the the the
(01:51:41):
people will have a field day with that.
You know, here's the other thing, like, which is really
cool there. There's a solid chance that and
and this is this is not me, likemaking a comment on like who I
like out of that pod, but just looking at like college football
history, solid chance that like whoever does the worst in that
pod ends up being the best NFL quarterback.
(01:52:03):
It's just kind of like that would be pretty consistent with
with, you know, football history.
Yeah. Who makes the run?
Yeah. But look, look at that.
Look at that third pod there, Miami, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
Like that pod, that is disgusting.
That pod stinks. This is like like last year we
did a worst case scenario bracket and came up with like
(01:52:25):
how how the most disgusting matchup of all time could happen
and like thankfully it didn't play out like that.
But this not too far off. I Notre Dame Oklahoma would be a
lot of fun. Rock fight actually good teams,
rock fight vibes, but but in thebest way with how they can play
(01:52:45):
defense. I would love to see that.
Can a tear stay in a pocket for once?
That would be an interesting question to see how to playoff,
playoff atmosphere. Notre Dame going to Norman would
be pretty cool on top. And the hard thing too is like
for people who have not been watching Oklahoma closely, like
first half of the season material before the injury, one
(01:53:08):
player after the injury, completely different player.
Like he's. I think if they had somebody
else that they could bench him for, I think they would.
Yeah, I think, I think the to mewhat what the dividing line is,
is, yes, it's the injury, but also like teams for the first
half, he was scrambling in cleanpockets doing a lot of that, you
(01:53:30):
know, that stuff and getting away with it.
I feel like he's gotten less away with it now because people
are expecting him to scramble because he, I mean, he did it
against Bama too. He's just bailing clean pockets.
I have no idea what what he's thinking when he's doing that.
Literally Bama got stonewalled by by the offensive line on on
one of the plays. And it's like, where are you
(01:53:52):
going? Like, what?
What are you doing? Why are you leaving?
And yeah, I don't think he'd love, I don't think he'd love to
face Notre Dame. But we could probably get Notre
Dame, Ohio State again, which I think would be really cool to
see. And then Texas Tech, Georgia,
give me that game, please. Texas Tech Georgia would be
would be very good. I think that whoever emerges
(01:54:14):
from that is a, you know, bona fide legitimate semi final
contender. And at that point you're going
to have three legitimate semi final contenders.
Unfortunately, either Oregon or Indiana is not going to be
there. Either Texas Tech or Georgia is
not going to be there, and two of Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Ohio
(01:54:38):
State won't be there. And instead we have to sit there
and watch A&M, Ole Miss or Miamitake up one of those spots,
which is just disgusting. I don't think A&M Ole Miss would
be like a track meet, an absolute track meet.
Take the over. Well, the SEC doesn't play
defense anymore. So yeah, Yeah, if, if, by the
(01:54:59):
way, there is a way Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Bama all win
red in the final eight. I mean, look at top five of us.
CSP rankly red. 5 red teams in arow.
We were laughable. They got red in the name.
They they, it would be all red. Imagine essentially.
So it's just, it's crazy just for the colors.
(01:55:21):
Imagine if we could get Oklahomaand Bama as as well.
Really all you had to do is justfind a way to swap Bama and
Oregon and then you have 8 red teams in a row.
But yeah, pretty, pretty, pretty.
Interesting. Yeah, so.
Oh, and then there's one more thing, one more thing.
We derailed ourselves a little bit school for this says
(01:55:42):
nobody's beating Yukon. It's absolutely true that Yukon
is not going to lose in the playoffs.
Joe Fagnano, Super, super good. What a name.
Fagnano. And then Skylar Bell.
Skylar Bell is legitimate, but Joe Fagnano is going to have to
be. Maybe the episode title today.
(01:56:04):
Also this just because, and thenwe'll stop derailing ourselves
and we'll get to some Packer questions before we get out of
here. I hate Shane Beamer, Shane
Beamer says. I do know next year at this
time, we're going to be sitting here on this Tuesday night
watching the playoff rankings tosee where we are.
I love this first comment. I declare playoffs.
I just wanted to let you know that you can't say the word
(01:56:25):
playoffs and expect anything to happen.
I didn't say it, I declared it. I love this.
I love this. That was I I had to share this
since we were going to talk about it.
That is so funny. You just you just gave up a 30
to 3 lead and lost. Like what are we doing here?
You sure about that? You sure about that?
(01:56:46):
So anyway, good stuff. I got a good one for you.
So did you did you see? I'm trying to share this.
Did you see? So we're going to get to that
question also, I started here wego.
So right before the game at homeagainst South Carolina, Texas
(01:57:10):
A&M puts this tweet out about the fact that the Navy chip
trophy is visiting their campus for that game.
And they're acting all smug about it.
And like, by the time most people saw this tweet, they were
already down three and three. And and so obviously people are
just roasting them mercilessly. So the top comment from a
(01:57:35):
Hoosier's account, don't bring this thing anywhere near
Bloomington IN. And I immediately replied, and I
said, don't worry, this trophy is never visiting Bloomington.
And jeez Louise dude, what a self own.
Don't bring the national championship trophy anywhere
near my school. Oh, don't worry, it will never.
(01:57:56):
Go to your school ow. This is one of the worst cell
phones I've ever seen somebody set up.
Just absolutely brutal. Absolutely brutal.
And then I had another one to share.
We got to we got to talk about this 1-2 punch here from Too old
for this Nice Beaver. Thanks.
(01:58:16):
I just had it stuffed. Oh, Beamer, not Beaver.
I wasn't reading. Goodness sakes.
That's Leslie Nielsen. Leslie Nielsen.
Naked Gun. I wanted to share this, this
tweet with you, Jake from at Skull Smith.
This is Skull Cole. Oh, boy.
Did you see this? This should be good.
(01:58:38):
I mean, I'm gonna I'm gonna readthe name.
I. You're gonna like this.
Actually, you're actually gonna like this.
OK, because skull coal has picked up on the trend that you
noticed you and I noticed mostlyyou, but I'm.
I'm going to claim a little bit.Of credit because I was there
when you noticed it. OK.
Step 1, he says cut JJ McCarthy officially declaring him a bust.
(01:59:03):
Step 2RE sign McCarthy. Yep, former draft pus bust and
have Kevin O'Connell fix it. Yep, Yep.
This is fundopical. Oh, good.
He needs to be cut to check intothe to, to fully be invested in
checking into the rehabilitationcenter that is Minnesota.
(01:59:23):
I love that take. Cut him and then resign him.
JJJJ, we have to cut you publicly.
OK, We have to cut you. We're bringing you back now.
You can be a real podcast how you can be, how you can be what
(01:59:43):
you've always you were drafted to be right?
Like that. That is how that's incredible.
I love that. I would rather be Anthony
Richardson, to be honest. If if he, if, if O'Connell made
Anthony Richardson like an MVP candidate, then then everybody
would be saying like, hey, like it'd be end of the night.
(02:00:04):
Hey Minnesota, can we can we cut?
What we need is our QB needs to be good.
You already have, like maybe you, they already have a good
one at this point, right when this conversation is happening,
we need to cut him. We need to send him up there for
a year. OK.
And then we want him back after the year so that we can move
forward as a friend. This is how Caleb Williams
becomes a real quarterback. Well, we can't give that plan
(02:00:27):
away. I was thinking Trevor Lawrence
should go there. Liam Cohen sends Trevor Lawrence
up to Minnesota, and then he comes back to Jacksonville
rehabilitated and ready to roll for them.
That that feels like the move that that needs to be made.
(02:00:49):
Maybe Kyler should go there. That might be honestly what
happens. Kyler might actually go there.
Probably will I I might actuallystruggle to see how they're
going to keep JJ as the starter for next year because it's just
and like the the Vikings were talking six games.
Who was it? Yeah, but like, he's never been.
That game was brutal against theBears.
(02:01:10):
Those are not a good defense either.
Bears are not a good defense. Should have been should have
been a a a get right game for him, period.
Should have been like, all right, I'm taking the steps.
Like this should be an easy little pillow fluff thing.
This should be like what Bryce Young does to the Falcons every
every time they play. Like, seriously, Bryce Young
owns the Falcons. This should be McCarthy.
(02:01:30):
Like, OK, I came back in that game against the Bears week one.
This team's this, this defense isn't good.
I should own this defense. And he didn't do it until fourth
quarter, which was hilarious. I'm sitting there next to my
dad. I'm like at 16-3.
This is what McCarthy turns it odd.
They're going to they're going to take the lead this game.
Sure enough, they did. Also a pretty brutal game from
(02:01:52):
both guys, Caleb to to Caleb's credit, DJ Moore, I don't know
what the heck he was doing out there catching the football.
He dropped one and then caught it between his legs on one of
the throws. So like not absolving Caleb of
guilt 'cause he missed guys likeclearly wide as well.
But like DJ Moore also did not help him.
It was the game, the game with, if you look at like RBDSM where
(02:02:16):
they do the QB stats and all that, the EPA plays and they do
the box scores. Like it was as bad as it looked.
From that standpoint, your appetite for talking about
crappy teams is far greater thanmine.
I. Yeah.
Oh yeah, that's a good one. Speaking of crappy teams, that's
the end of this tweet. Not Speaking of crappy tweet
(02:02:40):
teams, let's talk about the Packers in in.
The rest of this crappy. Division, we got those, so we
here we go. Mock draft too.
By the way, I was curious how you guys think we should
navigate the Jeff Haffley slash Matt Lafleur issue.
I don't want to lose halfway this year and then let Halfley
walk next year. Any chance we trade Matt Think
he meant, I assume he meant halfway this year and Matt
Lafleur next year. I think is what he meant, right?
(02:03:02):
I assume that's what he meant. I mean, this is like a whole,
this is a whole podcast topic initself.
Is is like, you know, where where are you on Matt Lafleur?
And I, I think I have actually settled on where I'm at.
Have you, Matt Lafleur should tease it should be a teaser for
next week. Don't you shouldn't answer it.
I can, I can, I can tease it if you want to.
(02:03:24):
Like the short answer is I don'twant this version of Matt
Lafleur back. You know, the do you want to win
a Super Bowl? Do you want to be a great team
or do you want to kind of live in mediocrity?
And you know, I I was here about350 days ago with the Ohio State
(02:03:49):
Buckeyes cause 'cause Ryan Day put together the the worst loss
by the Ohio State Buckeyes sincelike a long time before I was.
Born. I was born in 95 like like their
their worst loss. You know, people point to like
the the loss to Michigan State when Saban was there, like, OK,
(02:04:11):
but like there, there's seeds, you know, you see, it's it's
coach. Saban and all that.
And like that team actually was really good that.
That Michigan State team. But you have to go a long way
before I was born to find another game as bad as the one
that that we had against againstMichigan last year.
And, and I was like firmly in the camp of like, I do not want
(02:04:36):
like Ryan, they can't come back.I said that there is one path to
him coming back. He has to go win the natty this
year. He has to go do it right now
because like, even just making an appearance in the national
championship game is not going to save his job.
He has to be a new coach. He has to do things differently
(02:04:59):
and stop slamming his fingers inthe car door over and over and
over again. Freaking Matt Lafleur.
After this Giants game, a reporter asks him about the
tight end snap counts because like, hey, we all do the snap
(02:05:19):
counts and saw that Luke Musgrave had the fewest snaps at
tight end of of the entire room. And we all thought, hey, that
makes sense because he fumble twice.
And and then there's a there's aa deep pass that that Jordan
Love completes that like, frankly, should have been called
back to an illegal block in the back by Musgrave after he let a
(02:05:42):
guy get through. Like the dude sucks.
But on every single snap he's out there.
He's worthless as a football player.
Sure, he's a great human being. I want him off this football
team. So we all think, gosh, makes
sense that he played the least number of snaps because he
sucks. Matt Lafleur goes, oh, wow, I
didn't realize that he played sofew snaps.
(02:06:03):
We're going to have to change that because we want him out
there. This version of Matt Lafleur
needs to go. We can either fire him or
preferably he can have it come to Jesus moment and and realize
that loyalty to crappy players and crappy coaches is bad for
(02:06:24):
the team. Being his own offensive
coordinator and not hiring good staff who can do their job is
bad for the team. I was having a conversation this
past week with my best friend Justin.
And he was talking about, he wastalking about something going on
at his at his church. And it had to do with like
(02:06:46):
volunteering and stuff. And that like, he had been in
like this leadership position where he felt like, you know, he
was being asked to go get peopleto come help with some stuff and
like, people didn't want to comehelp with it.
And then the like made some changes and swapped it around so
that the lead pastor was the onewho's going to ask him people to
come volunteer for stuff. And it's like there's a big
(02:07:07):
difference between having the having the lead pastor or the
CEO or the head coach of an organization being the person
doing the relationship building and just making decisions and
making connections and recognizing, hey, here's where
(02:07:29):
my attention needs to be right now.
And then the difference between that and having that central
leadership person just doing grunt work.
Can they do the grunt work better than everybody else?
Probably because they're super competent.
Is that a horrible use of their time and energy?
(02:07:50):
Yes, because you know what job is not being done the job of
leading all the people. So there's my answer.
I would, I would be OK with firing Matt Lafour at the end of
the season because the version of Matt Lafour that we have,
that we've seen for a few years is not good enough.
I believe absolutely that he hasit within himself to be the best
(02:08:14):
coach in the NFL. He has the the talents and the
skill set and the intelligence and, and the sharp, crafty brain
to be that guy. And he's choosing not to do it
right now. And you know what?
If we have to fire him and let him learn a hard lesson and go
be the best coach in the NFL forsomebody else, that's going to
(02:08:38):
suck. But I'm going to be OK with that
because at a certain point we are just enabling him to keep
being a crappy version of himself and therefore to make us
as a football team a crappy version of ourselves.
Are the Packers going to get back on track?
Short term, yes. I think it's completely
(02:08:59):
plausible that they drop a game here to the Vikings this week
because it's they're, they're still figuring some stuff out,
still having some issues here orthere.
And then they kind of put thingstogether after that loss.
Completely plausible. That's how this plays out.
I think they're going to be playing some quality football
down the stretch. I don't stretch and looking good
down the stretch doesn't tell usJack about what they're going to
(02:09:23):
do next year and the year after that and what kind of a coaching
job Matt Lafleur is going to do because he is not changing
anything. When he came to his press
conference this past week beforethe Giants game and and the the
beat is all asking him, you know, like, hey, you know what,
what's the plan? He's like, you know what, we're
going to keep doing what we're doing and hope it starts
(02:09:45):
working. It's like, you know what, that
is not the recipe to actually solving your problems and being
good long term and. Preventing these same problems
from. Popping up again and again and
again. When was the last time we saw a
new problem with the Packers? It's always like whack A mole
with the same few problems and then like sometimes it comes to
(02:10:06):
a head. Where you have all the same
problems at. The same time.
And that's when things really implode.
But like, what lessons is Matt Lafleur learning?
You know, go back and talk. To 2022 or 2023, Matt.
Lafleur and and like, compare him to now.
Like what lessons has he actually learned?
(02:10:26):
I don't think he's learned a darn thing.
He's doing the same thing that he's been doing, making the same
kinds of mistakes. Like, OK, he hired a good
defensive coordinator and like invested a lot of effort and
resources into bringing in a bunch of great position coaches
on the defense. That's great.
Let's do it for the offense as well.
Let's let's get a real special teams coordinator in here.
(02:10:47):
Let's have Matt Lafleur look at how guys like Sean McVay and
Kirby Smart are doing business and being CEO head coaches.
Yeah, learn something. There you go.
Yeah, I think there has to be some self.
Scouting we. Talked about this.
Couple UPS last episode maybe? Of like.
(02:11:11):
You know, policy has to go sit down.
With him and be like, hey, like.Yeah, we're not extending you
this offseason. OK, we're not.
We're not. Doing that why because we feel
like you have had similar issuesthroughout your past three
seasons and this new Jordan loveera that just have not been
fixed and and give him some recommendations of like hey,
this this is not going to be a yes man my own guys group.
(02:11:34):
You need to bring in guys who are going to help you become the
best version of yourself. So I'm not going to be on the
train of fire him after this season.
I am totally comfortable if 2026looks like 2025.
And again, there's still some 2025 to potentially fix some
things, right? Yeah, bring a new mentality,
(02:11:58):
right that that is possible. It is still.
Doable, but if not then you comfortably.
Let him walk now. People saying we're not going to
have a better guy than Lafleur and, and maybe it's not
blatantly obvious to be like, Ohyeah, we want to go get that guy
over Lafleur. Don't forget like again and and
the Eagles, it got stale after they won a title.
(02:12:19):
Philly said no more. We're not doing any more Doug
Peterson. We're switching up.
We're going to get a different guy.
And they and it paid off. Philly said frankly, they let
him hang around a full 2 years longer than it should have and
full two years. And they gave him the.
Grace period because he won a Super Bowl and it's like at at
some point they were like, no, we're done with this.
We're you know, we can't be doing this anymore.
(02:12:41):
This team just doesn't have it anymore.
We're going we're going a different direction and that
made a difference. They've been to Super Bowls,
they won one of them. So they, I I fully believe if
Green Bay wants to. You know.
That's yeah, policy, not. Saying he wants a lame duck
(02:13:03):
coach is interesting because yeah, that could.
Mean I mean it. Doesn't mean fire.
Could mean trade right. That's not out of their own
possibility either. I, I do, I do wish we knew a
little bit more about Ed policy right now.
Like, like we, we had a really good handle on like who Mark
Murphy was. And like, I don't want to get
(02:13:26):
into that spot where a lot of bears fans do of like they bring
in a new GM or something and like immediately start talking
about like, well, this is how this guy thinks and this is his
tendencies and stuff. It's like, you have no freaking
idea what you're talking about. And like, I feel like we're
there right now of that like period of unknown on Ed policy.
Where we shouldn't. Really be surprised by anything
(02:13:50):
that he is going to do because we have no idea what he thinks.
We have no idea how happy he is with the current state of the
team, how happy he's been with the state.
Of the team these last few. Years as he's been, you know,
learning under Mark Murphy just because Mark Murphy liked where
things were at does not mean I mean Ed policy could have been
(02:14:15):
like fuming at. Some stuff and then like I want
to. Fire so and so today we have
absolutely no idea and like you know we we've we've had a lot
of. Conversation.
About the Micah Parsons, Yeah, tool for this is asking you can
trade coaches it like Jon Grudenwas traded.
(02:14:35):
There's a lot of I forgot Sean Payton for those for those
interested. I forgot about that one.
Sean Payton was traded from the Saints to the Broncos.
Denver trades 2023 first, 2024 second for Peyton in a 2024
third round pick. There you go.
We talked a lot about about the Micah Parsons trade and how
(02:14:57):
like, hey, the Micah. Parsons trade is.
Actually still kind of business as usual for the Packers.
It's just that, you know, an opportunity like Micah Parsons
just doesn't ever really come along.
And there's a shred of truth to that.
But also, would they have made that trade if if Mark Murphy was
(02:15:19):
still the CEO? Probably not, no.
There is that level of aggression, but it seems like
Goody has has brought in that level of aggression a little bit
more. Goody's been kind of an
aggressive free agency, 20/20/19pretty aggressive.
I don't think Ted would have ever been that aggressive in
free agency, right. The Charles Woodson ones
obviously like the big, big one, right.
(02:15:42):
Peppers was kind of big I think as well.
But like outside of that, I may be stupid.
I'm thinking, thinking, thinking, but I'm not thinking
of anything that was that massive, that.
That's kind of it. I mean, Brett and so like, yeah,
the trade, it wasn't Ted Thompson, but so I mean, that
was that was a huge trade. They gave it, gave up a first
(02:16:03):
round of pick. Reggie were a former second
round. There.
Reggie would be the other one then, right in the 90s.
So like there are those major moves.
Woodson was obviously the big. Fish.
So that it has happened. But yeah, I think Gudi has been
much more aggressive for sure than than than than Ted.
And so, you know, maybe Ed policy says like, hey, like
(02:16:24):
this, you know, BG he he's doinggood.
He's going to doing good work, right?
He he's making aggressive moves like some of them.
Aren't working out banks Hobbes? But Lafleur is just not where we
want to be. I mean, we, we don't know where
Ed policy is that on Brian Gudiken's either cause 'cause
even like you and I have like openly said a lot this year that
(02:16:45):
our faith in Brian Goudekunst isnot where it was three years
ago. Like, we have changed our tune
on Brian Goudekunst this year based on like we have felt that
the that there's been some questionable a couple draft
classes in a row. And, and like the, you know,
(02:17:06):
last year's free agency class with Xavier McKinney and Josh
Jacobs, like just absolute home runs that we were super excited
about as soon as they happened. And how many episodes did we do
this spring talking about like, OK, help me see the vision with
Aaron Banks and and Nate Hobbs. Like help me see how these are
(02:17:29):
not horrific moves, not just like mid but like potentially.
Awful. And like, you go on any Packer
social media right now and, and,and look at the conversations
surrounding Aaron Banks's contract and like the amount of
dead cap that you have to eat toget this bum off the team.
(02:17:53):
Like he has been awful for us sofar in this season.
And granted, there's been injuryproblems for him and for Nate
Hobbs are both of them playing alot worse because of injury?
Probably, but like remove the injury factor, do you go from
like this level of bad to good or do you just go from this
(02:18:14):
level of bad to average? Because we are way overpaying
for average if it if that's whatwe're actually going to get out
of these guys for sure. Yeah, yeah, no arguments here.
I feel like there's. A lot of a lot of chatter in.
The con Math. Classes have been.
Interesting, right? I, I feel like, I feel like
(02:18:35):
where I'm at with with Cooper Bullard, Evan Williams,
excellent, No notes. Feeling pretty good.
Bullard's Bullard's been on a heat since about week. 8I.
Wouldn't put Bullard in that in terms of the yards per cover
snap. And yeah, I I mean, he is, he
has been, he's been situationally gold, he's been
(02:18:55):
situationally good. He there are some advanced
metrics you can look at of him in man coverage that's extremely
alarming. And you don't see him in that
situation much because the Packers can't play man because
(02:19:16):
their corners stink. So they have to play so much
zone. And you see teams, you know,
Carolina, The Jets taking advantage of all the of all the
zone. And like, how many times was
Jalen Hyatt open in in zone thispast week?
And like, for sure, you know, technically Keyshawn's kind of
in coverage on on him. But, you know, it was one of
(02:19:37):
those days where Keyshawn didn'treally feel like playing
defense. Like it's always a tight end
open always because we're forcedto play so much zone.
And when we tight end racers on our team, by the way, be nice if
we can have him, you know, tightend erasers on the team afford
to have him. Pretty sure he's on the team.
(02:20:00):
Just saying you want your diet version of M.
And worry I'm pretty. Sure, we have him.
Pretty sure we. Have how?
How would? You.
How would you? Fix the the secondary.
Problems that that we've that we've.
Seen what? Draft corner.
Ideal solution? No.
In 2025. Like so we can win the Super
Bowl, Punt, blitz you. Yeah, that's what I'm going to
(02:20:25):
say from whoever the Titans you blitz all night, OK, Speed up
the process all night. I'm saying you have to be able.
You have to be able to play man when the situation calls for it.
Sure. And we can't right now.
(02:20:45):
We can't. Yep.
And like. Gudagons has made it.
Clear like help ain't coming at corner.
Beau Melton's not even in the cornerback.
Room anymore because we've had so many injuries of wide
receiver and tight end. So like, at some point, next man
up is going to be Kamal Haddon. God help us all when we get to
that point. But right now, like it's
(02:21:09):
Valentine and Nixon and then we're playing as much safety as
we can and it's all zone. And like, eventually you have to
think Nate Hobbs is going to gethealthy and then can come out
and be at least average. And that would be huge.
And maybe we can play some man at that point.
(02:21:29):
But you know, I would still wantto see him in the slot.
And like, I don't think. Keyshawn can play man.
I mean, I don't know. Keyshawn's better in man than he
is in zone, but. That's not saying much, Yeah,
Iowa, Joe says. I'm having PTSD of Ladarius
(02:21:51):
Gunter chasing Julio Jones all over the field.
Yeah. Dirso says.
Remember when he had no safetiesand then we were flushed with
them, I mean. It is something that we.
Basically basically hit 3 for three on safeties like you.
Know relative to where they were.
Drafted in that class and brought in Xavier McKinney.
(02:22:16):
Yeah, that was that was good. We got Goose in the chat here.
Been a long. Time says oh shoot, I forgot.
Was caught up with destroying the water in POT.
Is POT maybe one more corner? Without a doubt.
I don't know what POT is. Pot.
(02:22:36):
The way he capitalized it, it stands for something.
Destroying the water in Pacific.Of time.
Path of Titans, he said. Oh, sounds like a fun game.
A tool for that. Says I wish we give the
quarterback whisperer an established quarterback.
(02:22:58):
We did Carrington Valentine. It's.
True, Drew says we are definitely missing Kenny Clark.
We need another defensive tackle.
Sounds like a. Mock draft to me.
Kenny wasn't the answer, is the thing like we.
We need another defensive. Tackle and that's why we spent.
All spring. When Kenny Clark was on the team
(02:23:18):
ranting about we need to cut Kenny Clark and we need to add a
defensive tackle so that we havea defensive tackle.
Yeah. So then the Dallas Cowboys
actually wanted Kenny Clark. So that was cool.
But we're still in a situation where, you know, the defensive
(02:23:38):
tackle. I do still wonder Quinn and
Williams. I do still wonder.
If Lucas Van Ness getting healthy helps us in this area,
this has always been the question of like our defensive
line room really has never been healthy since like Week 2.
And so if we can have, yeah, Colby Wooden and Devante Wyatt
(02:24:03):
and Lucas Van Ness in. Kind of a timeshare.
I think that helps. Carl Brooks, I think has been
struggling a bit and you know how much it pains me to to
acknowledge that because he's myguy.
Like Warren Brinson has been just the worst in like the four
snaps the game they're giving him.
He's just been bad. Colby Wooden, unfortunately,
(02:24:26):
kind of coming down to earth a bit like his last good game was
like the Arizona game. He's kind of really struggled
ever since then. And that was like halfway
through the, the portion of the season that we've been, you
know, that we've completed so far.
It's it's been a while since he's been any good.
And so like, it's kind of Devante Wyatt or bust.
(02:24:49):
And, you know, a lot of people have highlighted the struggles
that Devante had this past week.So.
I think we're nearing the point where we.
Have to have. Somebody else out there to help
at? Some level.
Of the field because it's time to start shading some linebacker
(02:25:11):
help to assist with the defensive tackles and we can't
really do that because they're. Helping out the safeties.
Who are helping out the corners because we have too many weak
links on the defense and happilyI think is trying his hardest to
cover up for sure roster deficiencies with scheme and it
(02:25:32):
doesn't always work getting getting Devante Wyatt and Lucas
Van Ness. Both healthy on the.
Field could go a long way for. This if we are.
Able to keep keep, you know, playing fundamental 4.
(02:25:54):
Down fronts. Without having to bring those
linebackers forward, I think is going to be kind of kind of key
to sustaining. Defensive production through.
The playoffs, yeah. I don't know that there's other
help. Coming at.
(02:26:15):
Safety or linebacker? You know the the the spots we
could get some help I think are.Like Lucas Van.
Ness. And or Nate Hobbs.
Like like the. One or both of those.
Guys getting healthy. Enough to be contributors.
(02:26:36):
That. Is probably where like a a fix
for this is coming and I'm just not sure.
Like do you have another theory of?
Like where help could come from?Like I just don't know who else
is even has the body type to help out in.
In one of the two areas that we really need it.
I, I don't think so. I think that's, I think that's
(02:26:56):
pretty much where it's going to have to come from.
Like, I don't wish I had something more, but that's pie
in the sky maybe. Like Warren Brinson or.
Stackhouse, our contributors, neither one of them are really
getting any kind of meaningful snaps.
Brinson's Twitter game fuels hishis rise here.
(02:27:18):
Because that was a great tweet this this week.
So PFF, really liked what Stackhouse did.
I didn't so much on my rewatch, but you know, who am I did.
Did you have any thoughts on Stackhouse?
Did you actually watch them closely?
Have to have any thoughts on them.
I have not been busy on these year 2 retrospectives right now.
(02:27:41):
For our check insurance for. Our safeties and Mr. Edge
Cooper, So Joe, says Bretton Cox.
I. Don't know that.
Like I feel like edge depth is where we're at right now.
It's more like edge versatility. And when you think of versatile
edge guys, the number one name that you immediately jump to is
(02:28:05):
not even Lucas Van Ness. It's it's Carl Brooks.
Carl Brooks is. Like such a.
Tweener and and he can be successful at defensive.
End. And they want him to be
successful at defensive tackle. Like, does he have the body to
(02:28:26):
play more on the inside for us? Yeah.
Like his like so far, his body. Of work is indicating.
That he's just. Not.
Really big enough to to to stay inside it's, you know.
When you're when you look. At the at the big boys that.
We have available. To us, it's Wyatt.
(02:28:47):
And Van Ness and Brooks and Brinson and Stackhouse and like
that's. Am I missing anybody?
I think that's it. Yeah.
It. Wouldn't.
But like, yeah, it's, I mean. Drew says.
James. Esther, I, you know, I've, I've
just never had eyeballs. On James Esther so I can't
maybe. I couldn't speak to it.
(02:29:09):
I have no idea, Joe says. If Cox comes back, it would.
Allow LVN to move. Inside more I mean, but like.
We don't have LVN out. There on the edge right now and
we're. Surviving on the edge.
So we we got, we have enough guys to play off the edge.
You got Sorell and Kingsley. Like.
There's there's plenty of rotational depth to survive at
(02:29:31):
the edge. And like, does Rashawn need to
play better? Absolutely.
Rashawn needs to play better. But like we we already don't
have Van Ness on the edge. I don't think that when Van Ness
comes back, but he has to. Play on the edge because we.
Already don't have them on the edge, and that's not where our
problems are. Problems are on the interior,
that's true. Van Ness has the size and the
experience. To play on the interior.
(02:29:52):
I think that he kind of needs tobe doing that.
Yeah, it's possible. Or you get help on the back end
and like. The only spot I can see that
coming is. Nate Hobbs getting healthy and
being like much better when healthy than he's been all year.
(02:30:16):
And like, that could happen. But I never liked the Nate Hobbs
signing because I never thought he was good in Vegas but like
getting the best Vegas version of Nate Hobbs out there and
playing. Him in the slot.
Sure, that helps a bit. It lets us move our linebackers
up a bit and then that changes the conversation on the.
Interior. So yeah, maybe that is the.
(02:30:37):
Answer that might really be the answer.
That's probably plan A. That's probably plan A.
Like getting Hobbs healthy and putting him in the slot, I'm
sure is higher on the list of ofplans that Haffley and company
have for this defense than moving Van Ness inside.
I'm sure it is. It probably is a better idea.
(02:30:59):
But also, you know, you're beholden to his health.
Yeah, Goose says. Do you think our.
Linebackers and DBS. Need to do a better job in the
run game. The lack.
Of tackling was killing me someday I mean they're.
They're atrocious in the run game.
Like Edger and Cooper had a couple nice plays where he was
sniffing some guys out. Also missing a couple tackles
(02:31:22):
like Quay and McKinney are like easily, I think the most solid
guys in the back 7 when it comesto run defense.
And like, OK, in theory Nate Hobbs is that too.
OK, get healthy and we can put you out there like until you're
healthy. We've seen how bad he is when
he's not healthy. So let's just not farting around
(02:31:45):
with that experience anymore. Experiment anymore until he's
fully healthy, Bullard. Bullard's got some.
Potential in in run defense, yeah.
Bruce said the defense doesn't need that much improvement.
In fact, if we didn't miss a field goal, we'd be undefeated.
(02:32:07):
But like, OK, then don't talk about football like there's
there's, there are holes and. Flaws in the defense.
That will be exploited by betterteams.
They've been exploited by awful teams.
They will be exploited by elite teams.
When we get to the playoffs, I don't really want to play the
(02:32:28):
Seahawks and be forced to only play zone because we can't,
because we don't. Have the ability to do anything
but that. Right, the Seahawks, I feel like
are going to be interesting because they don't they haven't
run the ball well, even when they're in heavy personnel.
Well, their their running backs have been like the furthest
(02:32:49):
thing from healthy that you'll ever see.
I mean they're it's like like their offensive line can run
block. Yeah, they don't have any help
like. I mean, I guess.
If if Charbonne Walker been banged up all.
Year and nicked up, but like I Ijust don't feel like I don't
(02:33:11):
feel like Walker sees things very well and charbraise not
explosive and it's just like well, that's that and and
they've get they're getting Helani in there to.
Run like I think. They might draft another running
back. It's gonna be wild.
I don't. What about the What about the
Rams? All right.
The Rams, the. Rams are a phenomenal.
(02:33:34):
Example, they can run it on. The Rams would be a tough draw
in the playoffs right now. They can run out of 11 at A at a
ridiculously good rate On top ofit, because Puka's essentially a
tight end for them, that that isa dangerous thing.
They can pass out of 13. They could do pretty much
everything. They they've built the illusion
of complexity into basically three different personnel
groupings, which is an insane thing to do.
(02:33:57):
And they have and they have PunaFord as the early down run
defender when they can get to their their new age fearsome
foursome with with Fisk, Kobe Turner, Jared verse and then
Byron young like and Nate Lamben's made plays for them.
Forbes is is somehow figuring itout at corner.
I can't believe this. I can't believe the timeline
we're living in kitchens at safety player that, you know,
(02:34:23):
was written off for the most part after his combine.
He's played really good this year.
He's played really good footballthis year, by the way.
But it's not really being I've. Told you about my my theory of
football names and like Kim Kenshin's is that was that's a
(02:34:44):
name way too good of a name yeah, that's a name that can't
bust. That's what I thought of Javon
Bullard too. But like he's not a bust.
We're we're seeing improvements.That's the good thing.
And so, yeah, I I think there isthe name theories out there.
QB name theory. My goodness, talk to me about
some QB name theory. We get to some.
QBs It's offseason like Kate Klubnik No Nope, Nope, we'll be
(02:35:09):
seeing you. Garrett Nussmeyer Nope, we'll be
seeing you. So I I would even say 100% is
that like your your theory aboutFernando Mendoza, like he's
gonna end up being the most mid journeyman quarterback of all?
That's a tricky one. Yeah.
So the tricky one, Dante Moore knows the line of like is your
yeah, I'm still undecided on Dante Moore.
(02:35:33):
Dante Moore as a name as. A name I'm undecided as a great
name. Who says Darnell Savage is the
exception to the name theory? Savage is the exception to the.
I mean, that's fair, that's fair.
Too old for this, says. Shudur Sanders is a bust proof
name for sure you. Are you are?
Incorrect my. Friend.
(02:35:54):
Yeah. So I think in our final
celebratory move for this this pod, we got it.
I mean, we got donations, probably got to do a mock draft.
Yeah, I'm going to need you to to screen share it because my
I'm not sure I'm already ready. Your speed is ready.
We're already here, ladies and gentlemen.
(02:36:16):
We're here. We're simply here already so.
Let's get to it. Shall we?
Input always appreciated. We can certainly trade back.
If if. We are so inclined, Goose is
(02:36:37):
already saying. Give me some old lineman.
Chris Johnson's right. There, Chris Johnson's going.
To be a tough thing to pass herein the second and we've never
taken him run stopper. Can we talk about Chris Johnson?
Yeah. Always.
So what about Chris Johnson? Aztecs.
(02:37:00):
Cornerback Chris. Johnson Now there are there are
two different yes, 1 is a reallygood.
Running back, he played. For the the Titans.
And I am no. No, but but his son is in this
is is in this draft class. Oh, did you know that?
(02:37:26):
I did not. I was just looking at what
Dallas did in this. Because I was.
Interested. OK, so they took Makai.
Lemon And they took and they took.
Kenyon Siddiq Oh, yeah. So that's what I would do.
I am to fix my the guy. I'm looking at more offense big.
Chris Johnson, junior. Plays running back for SMU.
(02:37:49):
He is the son. Of the Chris Johnson and.
I will tell you. I I liked Chris Johnson.
Junior. And tweeted about him and then
somebody. Said like, is this Chris?
Johnson's son. And I thought, no, there's no
way. And then I went and looked him
up and I'm like, oh, this is absolutely Chris Johnson's son.
(02:38:12):
So SMU. So he transferred from Miami.
To. SMU OK This year he is averaging
6.9 yards per carry. He only has three.
Touchdowns, but. You may be interested to.
(02:38:33):
Know whoopsie? Go back here that he has a. 5.
190 Elusiveness. He's.
Louise. Week 1 hit at 255.
Wow, good sakes. PFF thinks he's not draft
(02:38:54):
eligible until 2027, but I the. Struggle of a ball.
Mock draft. He's estimated to be 6 foot 184,
which is a weird body type for arunning back.
Yeah. Want to see a picture of him?
(02:39:18):
Sure, if only we could drew draft to Chris Johnson's.
He's not available to pick in this.
Yeah. Like does he look like a running
back to you? He looks like a cornerback,
yeah. He looks like a DB 100%.
But listen, we'll we'll take it.Elusive if he's any bit of
(02:39:41):
explosive as his dad. I'm so in.
So, but I, I, I did also want totalk about the other Chris
Johnson. So San Diego.
State Golly, why is it so hard to?
Find forcing, dude. There's so many.
Chris Johnsons, 46. Percent completion percentage.
(02:40:03):
In coverage he's got a 91.4. Coverage grade from PFF so far
this year. Yeah, he has just one missed
tackle on the season. Oh interesting, I love it.
(02:40:28):
He does have two penalties. You don't have that on your.
On your fancy dancy chart, you're.
Right, I don't have. It you.
You, you got me there. What about this does your fancy
dancy chart? Tell you.
How many? Snaps he played in a slot.
In his career, yeah. 47 Yeah, unless there was more in in.
(02:40:55):
Before 2020 is pretty right? It's 47, yeah.
I mean, he did. Here's the thing, he played in
22, he played in 2022 and he hadeight snaps in the box but zero
in the slot. So yeah, pass away and targeted
.3. That's insanity.
That is very nice, that. Is.
(02:41:16):
Significantly worse than spikingthe football.
We're picking it, by the way. San Diego State Chris Johnson
going to. Find. 2nd cooperation on the
estimate here. So the I'm both.
Places on CN 6. O.
(02:41:38):
And then between one 85190. 5. Estimated weight estimated 40,
time of 455. Looks like we got our next guy
here. Also very comfortable.
In press man off. Coverage cover 3 zone.
(02:42:00):
And cover 2 responsibilities. Across multiple.
Alignments, exceptional zone coverage awareness with uncanny
ability to bait quarterbacks into dangerous throws before
breaking on the ball. You know who in recent years did
that that I love was that was well done with loved watching
and bait quarterbacks. Yeah, I like that.
(02:42:20):
Again, he is skinny and. You know you.
You. Would have to blame him on the.
Boundary. For sure seems like he.
Would be a bit. Of a liability.
In But you know, we're not draftour boundary for us for that.
Is it hot in here? Oh my.
(02:42:42):
Gosh, pass blocking grid 96. .9 and then look at that.
Nice. Packery run blocking grid.
Look at that. Is it hot in here?
Goodness, sweet. I can't.
Here we go here we go. I don't want to tackle, though.
Quit looking at tackle. I say that's awesome.
I need that. I need if he's there in the in
(02:43:04):
the third round. Oh, this is the third round.
Did you take? Did you take Chris Johnson?
Yes, of course. See, you got a bunch of nice.
Tackles here and like this is where Goody's going to be
looking. But like, here's the.
Deal. We have a 0 guards on the
roster. Here's the deal. 0 guards on the
roster isn't playing tackle in the NFLBT dubs.
(02:43:26):
No shot. Can he play guard?
Can he play guard? Again, I feel about.
Centre. We have more options at centre
than we have at guard. We have 0.
Guards on the roster. I can't help you the top.
Guard. On this list is a guy who hasn't
played this year. Yeah, that's their top guard.
We This guy's played guard better than that.
(02:43:48):
We've talked about Kate and Green.
This guy's played. Guard.
This is true. This is true.
He's played guard. Unless.
He transfers to wherever Eli Drinkowitz is coaching next
year. Maybe that's true.
The tool for this is tackle. He'll be Rebecca break guard.
That's such a true. Statement.
Jennings. Dunker is so far gone in this
(02:44:08):
PFF. Loves him.
Here he is 44th. Wait.
Wait, go back to Jennings Dunker.
OK, How? Let's Scroll down how many.
Snaps. Did he play guard?
None. None.
Though most people. Think he is 1 Jennings.
Dunker. Is like what?
(02:44:29):
What? What's the opposite?
Of bust proof like. As far as the name goes, like
that is like a that's a hit proof name.
You can't hit proof. Wow, hit proof.
Jennings Dunker is absolutely a name.
Unless you're like a punter or along snapper, you will not
succeed in the NFL with a name like Jennings Dunker, Chouffin
(02:44:51):
says. We need to cut the switching
positions. Crap emergencies is the only
reason that should happen. I.
Mean, but like when have we had guys switch positions other than
emergencies? Like what it what?
What scenarios are you talking about here?
Are you specifically talking about?
Taking college tackles. And moving them to guard, is
that what you're talking about? But we should pick an elite run
(02:45:13):
defender, by the way. Well, I mean, we need one.
I know the. Guy I want, he's just.
That not going to be in the. Draft.
Skyler, Gil Harris, I don't think he's going to be in the
draft. I don't think he's going to be
in the draft. Why is that?
He's played like 2 games. Yeah, this is not a lot of.
(02:45:38):
Snaps. This is the third time we've
looked at him this year and every time we look at him, we
talk ourselves. Into how excited we are.
And then we realize. There's no way in.
The world, he's coming out of the draft because he has round
one potential and yet he's goingto be a day three pick if he
comes out this year because he'splayed two games, AFF says.
(02:45:59):
Too old to stop using text to chat.
Run defense Grade runs. Down.
Really. In reference to That's just too
funny, Drew says Dunker's drop off is real.
This. Year Iowa, Joe says.
Oh, oh, oh, how about Logan Jones?
We like Logan Jones. We we've talked about Logan
(02:46:21):
Jones a. Lot.
We like them a lot. Do we want to talk about
Rayshawn Benny? Good.
Talk about Lee Hunter. I feel like Benny.
Hunter, Albert, Regis are your like guys.
To bring in. Does.
Help stop the run like that is exactly need to go look at these
(02:46:43):
needs receiver linebacker. What's the need baby?
PFF. Is good.
For some stuff and I'm not good for other stuff, we pick.
Do we pick our guy? Here do you want to pick our?
Guy. Which one of our guys there's?
Quite a few see here yes, our nono, because we've take we've
(02:47:06):
taken him too many times. We got to take some new the
point of doing. This.
Is so we can talk about the hackAre we taking at this spot?
Can we talk about Rachman Benny please?
I. Want to?
I want to. Talk about it.
All right, go ahead. What?
What do you not like about Rayshawn Benny?
He's got AM. On his.
(02:47:27):
Near his name. Well, yeah, that's always,
that's always a negative. But he, I.
Mean he he's clearly. Lacking in in pass rush does
does not really have moves in his toolbox at all.
Straight bull. Rush.
(02:47:48):
With the high pad level and that's it.
Great run Defender offers next to nothing from a technique
standpoint. In the.
Pass rush, do you have any? Concerns.
Physically about his ability to become a good pass rusher.
Honestly, I don't care if I'd be.
(02:48:10):
If I'd be completely transparent, literally this
Packers defense. Needs this Pune.
Ford legitimately, that's it. I need, I need to put a forward
on my team. That's what I want right now.
I'm not even worried if the DT can rush the passer.
We can figure out how to make DTS rush the passer.
We got guys who can rush the passer.
I need first and 10 not. Successful.
Runs second and eight not successful runs.
(02:48:31):
That's what I need right now really badly.
Also, we could just double down a corner here early and grab
Kiante Scott and just call that good to go with the double down.
It's not a bad plan. It's not a bad plan and I I
probably even would. Be fine with with the player.
(02:48:54):
Little slot corner. I'd rather I'd rather grab a
boundary corner, but it's so good that it's hard to pass I
think. We have, I think we have our
boundary corner. Valentine I do really, I do
really struggle. Though.
Like, as big of a need as cornerback is, yeah.
Like the Veggie's pick is trenches, we need guards.
(02:49:15):
So bad we need defensive tackles.
So bad. We're not going to be one of
these disgusting, lethal, scary, terrifying playoff contender
teams until we load up in the trenches.
Like do exactly what Detroit's doing.
They they continue and, and Philly, they continue to stock
up in the middle of the trencheson both sides of the ball.
(02:49:37):
That's what you need. You need incredible depth there.
We don't even have starters, we have one defensive tackle and 0
guards. Give me a break.
So as much as as much as we do need corner.
That's not the eating your. Veggie's pick, that's.
The. Giving the fans what they want.
Pick Yeah, now Amper. Regis, can we look at who else
(02:50:05):
Texas Tech has besides? Skylar.
Kill Howard. Because we know.
We know who it is. It's Lee.
Hunter way down. Here, it's got great run.
Yeah. Remind me about Lee Hunter.
I just know that Texas is the run.
This is the line is just incredible.
This is the run defender 64330. This is the run defender.
This is him. Don't need him anywhere else.
This is the run defender right here.
Interesting. Maybe this is the guy the run
(02:50:28):
defender. This could be interesting he.
Yeah, he is. He's definitely going to be in
this draft. Class.
Kind of your prototypical. Three tech.
What? You don't think so at 3:00?
(02:50:51):
30 Absolutely not. I don't think he's.
I'm seeing 320. That's still pretty big.
Still. Still big, but.
Staying big. For three tech but do you know
where? Do you know where he's?
From you know what town he. Grew up in?
Nope, Let's just say. He's going to be at the Senior
(02:51:15):
Bowl. Wow, that's fun.
And he's a senior. How about that?
How about that? Yeah. 2nd Scouting.
Report I've read in a. Row here that says he.
(02:51:38):
Doesn't play fundamentally soundand is.
Pretty darn raw which? For a 24 year old senior, that's
hard to read. Yeah.
What about Washington? From Oregon.
What? His name is Amari.
(02:52:01):
Washington, Amari. Washington 633. 30 Yeah, he's
gone. He's from.
Detroit, which means if we don'tdraft him, the Lions.
Will. 41st Bengals. 41st What? Oh, he's going to the.
Bengals oh first round or secondearly second round but but.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. 41st pick player comp Darius Alexander and
(02:52:28):
Javon Dexter. Sweet.
Oh man. OK, what about his teammate Bear
Alexander? Also 63, but he's a lot lighter
AT3O2. Did he get drafted yet?
He has not been drafted. Now, Bear Alexander, this is
(02:52:49):
the. Big time recruit pick Yeah.
IMG Yeah and he he trans didn't.He, he went to, he went to
Georgia, he's at, he's at Oregonnow.
Georgia, USC, Oregon, I believe.I'm kind of maybe more in on
(02:53:19):
this guy than some of the other ones we've talked about in the
last few minutes, OK? Ability to push the pocket all.
Right, I wanna I. Wanna go find I wanna go watch
(02:53:43):
the the Penn State. Game and the Indiana game.
And watch. Bear, Alexander, Adam Huddle
said. Bear is a bag chaser.
You know where that? Doesn't freaking matter at.
All the NFL draft matter in college.
He's gonna have to be chasing a bag if he wants second contract.
I would love to have him be. A bag chaser in the NFL?
(02:54:10):
Mid round pick? Gosh, I hope so.
All right, Did. You did.
You make our pick. I want Barry.
Alexander, you want him here? Who are we saying no to?
Can you can you filter it to just DT?
And. Both in, both offensive.
(02:54:30):
Line categories and nothing else.
Yeah, we just put all those guyson the board.
Yeah, that's what we want. OK, Pass.
Pass pass. Pass.
I'm sure one of these. Guys, I'm going to.
Be a big fan of later on Kaden Green Kaden.
Green is super. Tempting still, but.
(02:54:54):
Besantis you like? Besantis 100% fits.
The bold. Pass Protector 653. 15 That's
pass protector, that's the guard.
Yeah, it is. I guess Besantis or bare.
(02:55:16):
And then if I'm pretty sure, I'mpretty sure you can get both
195th for. Baron June.
All right, let's take, let's take Passantis here.
All right. JC.
Davis. And I've I've.
Got like 3-4 more minutes and I got I got a hop off.
OK, me too. Joe said I would.
(02:55:38):
Joe. Says I got you.
Take Hayden. Proctor and make him a defensive
tackle. Now that's interesting.
That's a Now that's a bag chaser.
That's interesting. All right, Soresby.
Austin. Barb I would not say.
No to K Tron Allen. I would say no to Nick
Singleton, but I. Would not say no to K.
Tron Allen here as of November 2025.
(02:56:01):
Interesting. Albert Regis, I don't.
Know anything about Albert RegisI?
Feel like he's a pretty dense fella.
From what I. Remember, they got some big.
Boys up front there and it's like. 61 like it's like 613.
15317 Oh, that's pretty short. That's pretty short.
(02:56:24):
Stout. Yeah, pretty.
Stout fella. So keeps keep scrolling down
here. Call out if there's.
Somebody I. Hate this guy as.
(02:56:46):
Much as I do. Go go up and let's look at that.
Oh, oh man, Antosaka, look at the the Indiana tackle.
Real quick, Carter Smith. Beastly Boy VIP3. 13 That sounds
(02:57:08):
like a guard too. Dude, screw it, just take him.
Just take him their offensive. Line is incredible this year.
We'll have to put him on the list of of guys.
To watch closely as well 93. .9 pass block grade.
Look good zone and gap grade. Yeah, let's take.
(02:57:32):
Carter Smith and then wrap around and we'll get Bear
Alexander. And all good.
All right, this is the. Let's let's fix the holes the.
Jeez all. Right the the Toledo guys.
Interesting too. Yeah, they're all good right
here. This is it.
OK. All right, now check real quick.
(02:57:58):
I'll take the Chambliss. Check running back real quick.
I'm I'm just kind of curious who's available.
Fletcher maybe? Oops.
No. We forgot poop.
That's not running back. Dummy.
Mark Fletcher. Yeah, take Mark Fletcher.
(02:58:18):
Well, no, we already took him that way.
Or do. Did we pass on him before?
I don't. Remember if we took him?
Damn Wilson. Dang it, Damon.
Wilson's already in the draft. It's crazy.
Where is Kate? Curry, wait a minute.
Kate Curry here in the sixth round.
Frick. Frick that's.
(02:58:40):
Upsetting. What'd you see, Hayden?
Curry in the sixth round. I would not turn my nose at
that. Hayden Curry in the whoa.
I'm in. Just do it.
Player. Four O 6.
OK, cool. I can't imagine.
He falls that far. In the real life, but trades,
