Episode 19 of Despite the Limits is the fourth in a series of podcasts exploring practical steps you can take when you feel stuck or simply cannot seem to get started moving toward your dream.
In this episode I overview the military’s five paragraph operations order as a framework we can use to do step three – “Develop a Plan”. Often, we don’t move forward from goal setting to making a plan because we either don’t know how or we are worried what others may think. A good plan is better than a perfect plan. It just needs to move us to action.
Here is a link to Episode 16 – “What to do when you’re stuck” if you want to listen to the overview of the six steps again or if you have not heard it yet: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2303705/15478024
For review, the six steps are:
1.Overcome Limiting Beliefs
2.Set goals
3.Develop a plan
4.Build a coalition for support
5.Learn from failure
6.Celebrate the small wins
I also reference Episode 10 – “The Man in the Arena” which is about taking risk and facing criticism. Here is the link to that one of if you want to listen to it too: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2303705/episodes/15121087
