Episode 24 is the final episode in this first season of “Despite the Limits”. In it I revisit the reason why I started the podcast in the first place. I discuss some recurring themes through the season. I also talk a little about changes you can expect in Season 2.
Despite the Limits is intended to provide short conversations aimed at helping leaders grow professionally and personally. These are lessons I learned from more than 30 years in the Army’s Rangers, Green Berets and Civil Affairs, along with more than 20 years in both voluntary and vocational ministry.
There were three recurring themes in Season 1. First, while some limits are real, most are creations of our own minds so we can stretch, bend or even break them. Second, failure is not an option but rather a part of our growth process. Finally, we absolutely need community.
I close out our discussion with three changes you can expect in season 2. First, I will begin to incorporate other voices through some interviews and conversations with other leaders in some upcoming episodes. Second, I am going to shift the content more toward better communication. The third change is possibly the biggest, I am starting a new job which will influence how I do the podcast in the future.
I am really grateful that you have joined me for season 1 and look forward to continuing our conversations in 2025.
Let’s continue the conversation!
