(00:13):
Hello and welcome to episode 120of the Destiny Digest Podcast.
Welcome in everybody. Thank you so much for coming and
hanging out with us and on this fine Sunday evening.
I believe totally. I told you that it was snowing
in my neck of the woods. You said it wasn't meaningfully
snowing in yours. It was not meaningfully snowing.
(00:35):
We did get a couple of flakes, but I we were watching football
and there was definitely snow coming down in some of the
games. So I think, I think we're
finally getting into winter. I don't like it.
I don't like it, Tidley. I know I'm not ready.
My joints are not ready. My I got a clicky knee.
I got a clicky knee. It does not does not like snow,
you know. Well, I did put up my Christmas
(00:57):
tree though, so that's really exciting.
Yeah, I'm like, I'm definitely of the camp of put up your
Christmas tree as early as possible, which makes everyone
else crazy. That was really nice.
Jenny. So every year Jenny wants to put
one up earlier and earlier and Ihave to kind of cut it off at
the pass a little bit. Like I was like, at least wait
until Thanksgiving is over before we we start even thinking
(01:19):
about about any of that stuff. I.
Feel like that's kind of the classic, right?
You wait until after Thanksgiving, you actually
travel for the holidays. So getting the trip early allows
us to enjoy it for longer. And for me, it's also kind of
like the reason there's all these festival of lights this
time of year. It's gets dark like the time
change really, it just feels so dark so soon.
And so like having a little bit of extra light in the house
(01:39):
feels really nice. So dude.
It yeah, the, the daylight savings time has really messed
with me the past couple weeks so.
Destroyed Oh my God, I'm still waking up at 4:00 AM Help.
Like why am I awake? It's far I.
Wish I was back there. I wish I was back there.
I need to get back there becauseI got stuff I couldn't do well.
(02:04):
So this is your panel tonight. It's just me and tiddly.
I believe everybody else is out on assignment, yes.
So with this, we'll get into a little bit of housekeeping here.
You can join us live every Sunday night around 3:30 PM
Pacific and 6:30 PM Eastern on twitch.tv/destiny Digest.
There you can ask questions livein chat that helps us shape the
(02:28):
conversation of the day. We have a couple weeks of
conversation that we got to catch up on.
So it will probably be having a lot of it today.
Episodes will go live the next day on YouTube, Apple podcast,
Spotify and Pocket Casts. And you can help others find the
show by rating and reviewing theshow on your podcast platform of
choice. One thing so tiddly and I we we
(02:51):
were recently in AD and D podcast.
Yes. That, I believe is going live
here soon. Yeah, they're starting promo
this week, I think. Yes, they're starting promo this
week I believe it's might be titled The Pirates of Ceramica.
I don't like. I don't know the exact title
yet, but. Sounds right.
(03:12):
Look, look for it. Look for it in your podcast
platforms. We'll be linking to it with all
of our stuff. But I asked a question in the
last, in the last session of allof you guys, maybe, maybe you
didn't answer this question. I asked about the top five
(03:32):
movies. Oh, top five of all time?
Top five movies of all time, just like it's.
So hard. Any movie that you could go to.
That is so hard. Oh my God, there's so many good
ones. It's tough, but I think you know
what, I think it's perfect for arate and review.
Put your top five movies rate and review for the podcast.
(03:54):
Are we going to do it now or we're going to do it some other
time? Oh.
You you want to do it now, go for it.
No, no. We could do it some other time
as. Often no.
Tell me. Tell me your favorite movies.
Tell me your favorite movies man.
Oh my God, I tend to like, I tend to like like comedies and
some dramas and sci-fi. Oh my God, I love sci-fi.
I would say, Oh God, now I'm thinking of sci-fi.
(04:15):
Like there's so many good ones as Contact is one of my favorite
sci-fi movies. Yeah, I like for old movies, I
like singing in the Rain is a classic.
That's a solid 1. I loved Amelie growing up.
I thought that was such a cute movie.
I'm trying to think what other movies I really loved, man, Like
(04:35):
just and like summer blockbusters like Independence
Day, like like any any, any likesummer blockbuster where they
blow up a lot of stuff. It's like good.
I don't know. I'm like, we, we did go and see,
Oh my gosh, what is it called? The Battles movie last weekend.
(04:56):
You know what? I just saw it last night.
That was going to be on my list of things, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 1 battle.
After another. One battle after another.
Yeah, we saw that and I understand that it was excellent
and I, I, I appreciated it. The cinematography, like the
hill part at the end. Oh dude.
Crazy, that was. Crazy like the way that they
(05:18):
increased the tension by the waythey should look like.
Waves it looks like. Waves.
It was nuts. It was absolutely nuts.
I would like you felt like you were in the character's
perspective. Like it was absolutely insane.
So I can appreciate it from an artistic perspective.
However, it it was really stressful and I'm never going to
watch it again. So I I tend to like for favorite
movies. For me, they have to be
(05:38):
something that I'm going to wantto rewatch like like like Star
Trek, like the Star Trek movies.I like the the recent Star Trek
movies. I will watch those over and over
and over, like that kind of thing.
It felt a little bit like, like No Country for Old Men.
Oh yeah. Kind of like that kind of movie
where it's like, this is so goodand I'm so stressed out the
entire time. Which is super funny because,
(05:59):
like, yeah, PT Anderson won. Like there will be blood, yeah.
There will be blood that that kind of era, that movie, that
one, too. That movie beat No Country for
Old Men in Like and in the Oscars for Best Picture.
That year. Interesting.
And he's just doing his own version of it now, like it's, it
(06:21):
was quiet and pastoral and, and really, really fun.
I can't I can't escape that milkshake quote with all my
friends every time, every time Igo for sure.
I mean it's iconic, but like like those are those are all
kind of like in the same like I appreciated battles, like, you
know, I was a literary major in college and so like I can
appreciate things from that perspective, but it wasn't it
wasn't like I mean, I would probably rather what rewatch?
(06:45):
Oh my God, they they K pop demonized.
That's fair. That's fair.
Movies. I've watched it twice.
I'm like slightly embarrassed that I like it so much, but it's
so good. I haven't watched it yet.
It it is that is caught on like wildfire.
So like, Oh my. God, it's, you know, the music
is good. It's really fun.
I liked it and I I'm embarrassed, but I liked it.
(07:11):
Well, so I'll tell you my top five movies of all time.
Yeah, yeah, please, please, please.
John Carpenter These are in no specific order.
They're just like, these are just the top five movies that I
could watch at any time and be fine.
Like have it on in the background.
Just John Carpenter's The Thing.OK Hands down.
(07:33):
I want a top 510 Things I hate about you.
That's a great one. That's.
A great movie it's. A great movie.
Taming of the Shrew the Taming of the Shrew, that movie is.
Right, right. It's an, it's a modern and
modern interpretation of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Everybody wants some. That was a Richard Linklater
movie about this dude in the 80swho was on a football team or
(07:58):
who joins a a baseball team in college.
And it's about like the first like couple months or maybe like
first couple weeks of him being in that frat house kind of kind
of thing. It's it's such a chill, laid
back movie that like you could just throw it on the background
of anything and it would be fine.
(08:21):
Walt Disney's The Robin Hood. Oh yeah, I forgot about Disney
movies. I would like to include some
Pixar in there. Oh my.
Goodness that the the Robin Hoodwith Roger Miller singing in the
background of all the all this the I usually.
Like the really the really? Old old animated one I.
Oh my God, the Oh, I love that one.
It's so good. Yeah, so good.
(08:41):
Yeah. It's a solid 1 and then this one
might just be #1 for me though, is Hot Fuzz.
I've actually haven't seen it. I know it.
I know of it. I haven't seen it.
I feel like it's kind of a cult,A cult film.
It is highly quotable. It is.
It is just such a solid. Like Anchorman, another example,
(09:03):
right? Like, you know, Elf is also a
great movie. Oh my goodness, Elf is good.
There's so many. I just love, I love movies.
And like, I think, I think in order to give this a proper, a
proper address addressing, I would have to have a full week
to kind of like write all down all the movies that I like.
And then like, I would probably need to pick like a top per
(09:25):
category. You know, I just, Yeah, I don't
know. So that's a great.
Question. All of this to say, put that in
a rating review for the podcast if you got nothing to say about
the show if you got nothing to say about.
Me. Tell us your favorite.
Movies. Tell us your favorite movies.
It would be wonderful to hear hear about them and to read
them. You know what?
I'll read them on the show If weget some reviews on like Apple
(09:48):
Podcasts saying your your favorite movies, I'll read them
off. I'll read them off from the
people that are that that post that.
But hey, we're not a movie podcast.
We're a video game podcast, right, guys?
So Tilly, what have you been playing this week bud?
Yeah, absolutely. So today, with Eddie and my
(10:10):
husband's help, we actually won our first fortnight of the
season. There's currently a very short
season. It's a Simpsons focus season.
And I, I, I apologize, but I'm not a Simpsons fan.
I know that I have a lot of friends who are like wandering
around loving it and just getting all the nostalgia and
like all of the different littledetails.
(10:30):
It's not, that's not, that's notme.
I'm sorry. That's not, that's not so.
So the map for The Simpsons map is smaller and it's the, the
also the, the guns that are available.
The shotguns tend to be strongerthan some of the mid range or
long range options. It's what tends to be like the
the matches are playing incredibly sweaty.
(10:53):
OK, very, very, very sweaty. It's like a bunch of people
trying to get in your face and shotgun you to death.
So we played the other day and it was awful.
It was so bad, like drop location die, drop location die
like like that kind of it was basically like lobby simulator.
So we we ended up dropping and getting a win today, which is
(11:18):
fantastic. So I'm excited because it means
I don't have to play anymore Simpsons Fortnite.
It's not for me. I'm not I'm I'm sorry I'm not
good enough at PvP to play this season apparently and that's
absolutely fine. If you're loving it, I hope you
really enjoy. That's great.
But I have my umbrella. I believe the season ends at the
end of the month. So it's it's a very short
season. I have an umbrella I'll play the
(11:39):
next season. I tend to like mid mid range
engagements and the mid range options are not great.
So anyway, that was fun. That was I'm excited I'm done
with that. I'm never going to go back.
Then also all they added pets too and Fortnite which is like
so you can get like a little dogthat follows you around.
(12:00):
Okay, does it serve any functionother than just following you
around or? Cute.
No cute. It's cute.
Like you can pet it, you know, like.
It's a dead giveaway thing, no? No, no, the other teams can't
see it. Only your team can see it.
So it's just for, it's just for you and your team.
It's just a cosmetic thing. But Eddie was saying that
somebody did the calculations and you got every single pet
(12:23):
with all of the different iterations because you can put
sweaters on them and like different colors and whatever.
If you bought all of that, it would be $17,000.
Jesus, OK, Oh my God. Yeah.
Are you like, well, that's crazy.
So I'm not going to be doing that.
But I definitely bought a dog tohave in Fortnite today and that
(12:44):
was very exciting. I got them chunk.
You can. You can make them slightly
fatter if you want to. Oh, OK.
I was going to. I was going to say, do you think
like did they, are they added kind of like kind of like The
Simpsons, like The Simpsons haveSanta's Little Helper, like is
that dog available during the event or like?
I don't know. There's a banana dog that's kind
(13:06):
of like the baseline, OK. And then I think that if you've
got there's like a backpack dog,if you got the backpack dog, it
unlocks that for you automatically, OK, Which is
pretty cool. I'm just waiting for them to
unlock the hamster because the hamster is kind of what my
emails are all based on, but that's not available yet.
I'm guessing it's like one of these things.
Where's the new cosmetic? They're introducing several
iterations of it, and then they're going to continue to
(13:27):
release more. But I don't know about the Yeah,
not The Simpsons. Got you.
OK. But yeah, so there you go.
That's my that's my short fortnight, Simpsons fortnight
review for you. I've been playing a lot of Arc
Raiders actually. Like it's I'm not an extraction
shooter girly. And it's really fun.
(13:47):
It's really fun. I'm not, I'm not really
interested in doing solo play, but going in as a team and
looting and levelling and all ofthat.
I'm not even, I'm not even hyperfixated on loot.
I just like going in there. And I think that I think it's
because the Pve is really challenging, like the, the bots
are really challenging. So you have to really respect
(14:08):
them. They can really kill you very
quickly. But then there's also this very
strange thing that's happening that we were talking about this
week in Arc Raiders where if you're in a solo lobby, you can
there's this emo that's like, don't shoot your hands up emo,
don't shoot. And so a lot of people are using
that emote and then talking through voice comms and and just
(14:31):
basically hanging out and not fighting.
The people. They're just hanging out and
doing PV together so, so that's pretty funny It if you'd go into
to trios, it tends to be more sweaty.
People do tend to shoot immediately when they see you.
Although we had a game, we had agame that we loaded into this
past week where we actually had two groups of three in addition
(14:54):
to us that we just kind of like befriended and walked around the
map together with. So it is very strange, strange
extraction shooter situation because they're definitely like
I definitely feel like it is kind of catering to more
casuals. I think that like hardcore
Tarkov people are like, I don't know about this, but as, as
somebody who is more into casualgameplay, like it's great.
(15:16):
I think you can go go load in, like just try to PvP do like
really insane stuff if you want to.
But Oh my God, it actually just is so fun.
Like I go in and I play it and the hours go by and I'm like,
where do the hours go? Where can they go?
I'm just this is really, it's really, it's surprisingly fun.
I do recommend. It's only $40.
(15:37):
I was played a couple times so it goes great.
I was I was I was going to buy it on Friday and then I saw a
TikTok that I was like, Oh, well, maybe, maybe I'll hold off
because there was like Co carnage interviewed the the
voice actress who was the the voice in Ballers gate 3.
(15:57):
That was the narrator and was talking a little bit about Arc
Raiders in that they they use some sort of AI voicing.
Yes. So I did hear that, yeah,
because they they basically for the ping system, when you ping
something, it it says it speaks out loud and says what the item
is. OK, So I, I, I don't know the
(16:20):
extent. I definitely personally, I'm not
in favor of utilizing AI over voice actors.
I feel like pay actors to do that kind of stuff.
If it if it really is just the ping system, that's different
than like the acting in the game, But still it's it's it's
it is it's a slippery slope. I like, definitely don't love
that. There is also there is so in
(16:42):
like I, I read it out to Casey Rutaday and I kind of brought
that up in her chat cuz she was like, have you been playing Arc
Raiders? I was like, yeah, not so much
cuz of this thing. And she was like, well, she had
read some article that like the voice actors had given their
consent to, to model off their voices for this like project.
(17:04):
So I don't like, I haven't seen that.
So I'm gonna like look into thata little bit more before I.
Like dive in before you. Yeah, I appreciate that.
I think that I think it's a really tough place to be as a
content creator with games rightnow because Oh my gosh, like,
I'm, I'm trying to game ethically, right?
Yeah. And this is a good overall
conversation about games, right?I'm trying to game ethically.
(17:26):
I'm trying to not give money to companies or to games that are
doing engaging in practices thatI don't agree with, etcetera.
It's so hard though. It's really, really, really,
really, really hard. Like I love Overwatch.
Overwatch, Blizzard has done some really shady stuff.
Rivals, it's a Chinese company, you know, like there's some big
(17:48):
problems with that. I haven't played Battlefield
because of was it Jared Kushner's involvement and Saudi
Arabia and all of that and buying they just.
Purchased. They just purchased they just
purchased it. So there that there's a lot of
ethical qualms that I have aboutbattlefield.
So, but it, it, it, it puts you in a, a tough space as a creator
(18:11):
because you're like, well, like, what do I play?
You want to play. Companies suck.
You know you want to play the new thing, right?
And like you do, you do and likeeveryone in your director is
doing and like, how do I game ethically?
How do I, how do I, how do I consume and create content in a
system that that has these practices that I don't agree
(18:31):
with? Like it's a great, I think it's
a great overall conversation to have because, you know, there's
so many games that have something about them that's
problematic, right? I mean, I mean, look at even
look at Bungie, look at all of the stuff with, you know, that
happened, happened with Bungie. Like, you know, we talked about
this game, we played this game with Marathon, with the
copyright infringement with likethe, the issues with sexual
(18:56):
harassment in the workplace thatcame out, like all of the
firings that happened. Like there's, there's, there's a
lot of stuff that happened that was pretty, pretty bad at Bungie
too. So it's like, how do you, how do
you, how do you game ethically? Yeah.
And like I, it's just one of those things where like it's,
it's tougher everyday to kind oflike navigate those, those
(19:17):
those. Waters.
Yeah. So yeah, yeah, it's, it's, it's
tough the. Remember.
Remember. Remember kids, no ethical
consumption or capitalism is nota it's it's not to just let you
off the hook. It's actually like criticism of
the of the system. It is, it is.
(19:38):
And, and I, I think I think someof the more important things to
do here are to kind of just engage with it critically,
right? You know, I, I think, I think
the problem comes up if you are consuming without consideration.
And I'm trying to not do that. At least I'm trying to like,
say, OK, well, what is my line? What, Like what, you know, where
(19:58):
am I going to pass on something? It's where it crosses over that
line, you know, like, you know, but it is, it's so hard.
It's so hard because I think there's a problem with
everything. I'm like, really tough, Yeah.
Yep, Yep, it's tough out there. I'm seeing on the list here that
you raised $1300 for Feeding America this week too.
Yes, congratulations. So obviously we're having, it's,
(20:21):
I think day 3839 government shutdown in the United States,
which is historically the longest government shutdown
that's ever occurred. And SNAP benefits are being
affected for Americans. There's 42 million people on
SNAP, which is government food assistance, you know,
disproportionately affecting, I believe like children and
(20:41):
elderly people and disabled people and whatnot.
So it's a really huge problem. I know it's also disrupting,
it's disrupting holiday travel with flights are being cut by
10%, which is which is huge. It's crazy.
So it's, it's a very weird time right now.
And actually this is my friend revealing's idea to raise money
for food banks. So we, we raised $1300 for
(21:06):
Feeding America, which is like alarge kind of conglomerate of,
you know, basically distributingmoney to food banks and food,
food programs in the United States.
And I did that by drinking beer out of a shoe.
And I start, I start to use it like I start my shoes at like
9:00 AM. So here I am like 9:00 AM, like
(21:27):
drinking beer out of a shoe. And he says 7 times.
Yeah, no, the first day I had todo, I had to do 3 and the second
day people popped off and I did 4.
So I was definitely like a little buzzy on stream.
I'm like, I'm not a very safe person and I'm just like, I'm
just like, I was like wee so, soyeah, I was pretty drunk on day
(21:50):
2. But you know, it was for, it was
for a really good 'cause for a good cause in my community for
raising that money. I feel like I have a small
community, but you know, I, I, it's, you got to you got to do
what you can in in a situation like this.
I think that, you know, I was talking about it to my stream
and I feel like there's definitely this sort of feeling
of hopelessness around issues that are so big you can't
(22:13):
control. It's up to our government to get
things sorted and get this all fixed.
And So what do IA single person, what can I do?
Right? So for me, for me, finding
something active and constructive helps re energize
me and helps build hope not justfor me, but also for my
community because it also gives them direction and it gives them
(22:35):
a place to to put their energy and contribute to sort something
positive. So I'm really proud of it and
I'm we're going to keep rising until people are getting through
it again. So yeah, Yep, Yep.
And then also this week there's so I believe that rivals
extended their zombies, their their Halloween event, which was
incredibly popular. They're like it's a limited was
(22:57):
limited time PV E event. We completed this past week the
Nightmare 4, which is like the hardest, hardest here
difficulty. You get like a gold title for
doing it and it's hard. It's really it's really
difficult. But it was really, really fun
and they extended it. They added additional titles.
So anyway, they're they're leading into that success and
(23:17):
I'm glad because it's excellent. And then as far as Destiny
stuff, we did A5 footed raid, anepic raid the the so doing some
of these more challenging iterations of the raid is
actually really rewarding now. Like they remember I was, I've
been complaining for for months now about about how like
(23:40):
rewarding rating is and how mad I am about that.
You're like, oh God again, Totally.
Oh, no, I'm. I'm right there with you, buddy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right there with you.
But I'm, I'm level, I think 4:15I'm like in the four hundreds
now. And I was getting tier 5 drops.
I mean, we did so we did a 55 feet raid and an epic raid with
(24:01):
with feet connected to it. So like so we were, we're
getting the, the tier 5 drops, but it's it's actually the
Luda's. The Luda's super good.
And then if you do complete the epic grade, if you have the tier
fives unlocked, you can buy them.
Also. You can, I believe it's like 1 a
week. You can buy it from the the
chest at the end, which is pretty exciting.
You can do that norms too because I just.
(24:23):
Did. Oh, you can, yes.
Awesome. So awesome.
We we did some helps today and Iactually got the crossbow tier
5. My tune is at 438 and 4 eights
434 and four eight now, according to according to DIM
and yeah, so I had I had severaltier fives drop just doing 3
(24:48):
feets in a lot of. Things that's amazing.
That's actually really, really good.
Yeah yeah, no, the rating has been really fun.
I've been doing 1 challenging Raider week got to play with
Llama D2 a couple weeks ago and that he he was the one who his
team was in first place all the way to the boss for the epic.
(25:08):
So that was an actual treat because I've never gotten to
play with him before so that wasso fun.
I was trying not to fangirl too hot.
I'm like Oh my God, it's lava. It's so exciting.
That's fun yeah and it's really fun.
I mean I get to play with amazing people like I think it's
really great. I got to play with Dan actually
who's not here tonight, but I got to play with epic Dan for
two weeks too. That was really great.
Hell yeah. So what about you, Dan?
(25:29):
What was your week in gaming? So I I played dispatch, have you
heard anything about this game? I have not.
It is like a Telltale game. You are, you are a superhero who
has fallen from grace mainly because your suit got destroyed.
(25:52):
And you yeah, so you, your your suit got destroyed.
You're kind of bum bumming out. You're, you're publicly retiring
and you get approached by this organization called SDN to
become a dispatcher for superheroes.
So the, the game is a lot like the, the story of the game is a
(26:15):
lot of, it's a lot of talky. So you're basically watching a
majority of it. Do you do you feel like you're
you're voice acting for it kind?Of really no like cuz it's got
it's got an All Star cast. It's got like Aaron Paul, it's
got the full cast of You're Not.You're not reading subtitles.
It's just like. No.
Watching a movie. You're kind of watching a movie
a little bit and making decisions like in that choose
(26:36):
your own adventure way, like Tail Tale usually does fun and
then. Fun.
It has. It has the cast of a critical
role also in the background of. Sick.
And so, so it's, it's really well voice acted.
It's the first six episodes are out right now, next week, then
the last two drop. And so it's a lot of choose your
(26:57):
own adventure when it comes to the story and everything.
There is some Dewey in it though.
With the dispatching of superheroes, it becomes a game
of like you have, you have a roster of eight heroes who at
any time they're all they might have like a problem with one
(27:17):
another or something like that, or they might have a problem
outside of outside of the job and they may not show up for a
gig If you send them or if you send two people along and they
get along really well, then you get bonuses for for sending them
together. And all the while you're
levelling up points to like to put certain attributes into them
(27:41):
while each call has has something like, OK, so these
kids have these kids are doing graffiti out by the bridge.
Like you got to you got to go bust that up, right?
And so you could talk to them, you could take their stuff away,
or you could send a certain character in order to like scare
them, like right. And so.
(28:04):
Can you play it? Can you play it like evil or
good or like, yeah. Yeah, kind of.
And like the with that, you haveto like for the first one, you
would have to send somebody withenough charisma to to talk the
kids out of doing this right or this.
Is a very DND idea. It's like, yeah, and, you know,
send the Bard. Right.
It's straight up. It's straight up DND that way.
(28:24):
Yeah. So like you're sending charisma
for them to like talk the kids down or to take their stuff.
You have to have enough like strength in order.
To intimidation. Or like, yeah.
Scaring them, yeah. Or if you, or if you send a
certain character like Malevola who looks like a who looks like
a demon, then that scares the kids and they run away.
Like that's the kind of scenario.
(28:46):
So it's, it's really fun. And yeah, it's it's been really
interesting seeing how it's progressed over the past couple
weeks. It is, I would say, a strong
mature rating on it, especially episode, I think episode 3.
Is there any like is there is there?
(29:06):
No violence in it. Well, I mean, there's violence
in it. There's violence in it, but
there's like a pretty, pretty involved sex scene in one in one
of them. And yeah, look, you just, you
just happened to stumble into something.
I was, I was luckily tipped off by somebody in my chat who was
like, hey, you probably want to turn on the censoring features,
(29:27):
like for this episode specifically.
And I was like, OK, like what could be so bad?
That. Bad.
And then I was like, I've. Seen it all.
I was like, OK, sure, yeah, I get it now.
I understand. So, but it's kind of like
watching an Adult Swim show thatyou interact with.
It's it's pretty. Fun.
That's so. Fun.
That's so. Fun.
I think you sold it Well, Yeah, I also saw saw one battle after
(29:51):
another. I really.
Yes, we were. We were laughing in the theater
like so many times during that movie.
It was, it was like less stressful for me because I think
of like, I don't know how many PT Anderson movies you've seen,
but like I've I've seen like so many of them and like so.
Many. Just the way that he's able to
undercut like a serious moment with like a really stupid joke
(30:15):
is. Oh yeah.
Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean, I feel like Leonardo
Dicaprio's character is just an absolute idiot.
And like it's Oh yeah, it's likehe like he stumbles through the
entire like all of the. Confederacy of Dunces level of
just dummy and absolutely. Absolutely.
It's so good. And just the him with the foil
(30:38):
of Benicio Del Toro's character, who is my favorite character?
The sensor he is who is just this like wizened, not wizened,
but he's like, he's like this wise kind of like, you know, I,
I, I've been fighting this fightfor my entire life.
Nothing phases me. I'm going to be just drinking
beer and and finding my own business.
Yeah, just vibing like it's. And like, as a foil to Leonardo
(31:01):
Dicaprio's like, constantly sweating and.
Yeah, like messing up constantly.
Paranoid sweating has been bad at this for for a long time.
Like kind of. Thing, it's actually so, so
funny. I feel like the the younger
actress is phenomenal. I think yeah, definitely.
She was great. She was, she was really
fantastic. It kind of reminded me of a
Tarantino film in a in a way. Yeah.
(31:22):
It had a little bit of that. Yeah, absolutely.
I think I think Sean Penn also was wonderful.
He was and his Vince. McMahon impression.
Wonderful in the way that he wasjust odious from the very first
second you see him on the screen, you hate him.
He is just despicable. And it's kind of like, it's kind
of like Joffrey and Game of Thrones, where you're like, God,
(31:44):
he's so bad, but you're like, this actor did such a good job
with that role. Sucking so bad.
So much, right? Yeah.
So good. So good.
Sean Penn is so good. Yeah, terrible, but he's.
So good. Outside of that, last week I
played a little bit of Absalom, which is a a rogue like beat em
up. It's put out, it was put out by
(32:04):
the team that recently did the sequel to Turtles, Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles, Turtles inTime, and a few other beat em
UPS. They like they're just, it was
just, it's really polished. You feel powerful like pretty
quickly after you start getting into the loop of everything.
And it's really fun. It's it's high fantasy coded
too. So it's like got a lot of DND
(32:24):
stuff in the background of that. And then finally, like, so on
November 18th, Tuesday, November18th, we're actually running the
5th annual Feeding Frenzy campaign.
So yeah, we'll be looking to raise some money for Second
Helpings, which is a food rescuecharity based out of my hometown
of Indianapolis, IN. And we'll be doing that for a
(32:46):
couple of weeks leading into Giving Tuesday where when you we
turn in our when we turn in, typically they have a corporate
sponsor for Giving Tuesday that will double whatever we put in
up to like a certain point. So I think we're going to, I
think we're going to going to get into that.
(33:06):
I'm also going to be messaging them about maybe doing a
community volunteer thing because they do excellent work
in my city outside of that. Yeah, with the played, I played
very little Destiny this week. I, I find myself playing like a
little bit here and there. Yes.
Just to kind of keep the juices flowing with it and like keep
(33:29):
that conversation going. The Haunted Altars, I played a
lot of those. Did some help too.
Bad. I did a little bit of that.
Yeah, that was. They were so bad.
Yeah, we played last Monday. Right.
Oh yeah, we played together. It was a vibe.
It's just like, it was chill. It was fun just hanging with
friends and chat. I was just I, I laughed at.
We had a good time, yeah. Yeah, it was, it was very like
(33:50):
it was very chill like it is definitely something that you
can talk to, chat with while it's on in the background.
There was we also helped out with like a couple of raids
today. Actually got to play with CG
today which was super. Cool.
And so, yeah, he, he really liked my fashion.
We'll just leave it at that. So news and destiny, what have
(34:16):
you been keeping up with? What's keeping up with the news?
Yeah. Have you been keeping up mainly
with the news or? Well, yeah, with the, with the
Twid for sure. Yeah.
I don't know if I've, I don't know if I've read last week's
Twid. It feels like they have been
very, very light generally speaking and that we haven't
gotten a ton of information leading up to the the next the
(34:42):
next launch, which we're really not that far away.
It's already November, Less thana month is coming out December,
correct? Yeah, December 6th.
December 6th. So we are really.
No, it might be December 2nd, itmight be December 2nd.
It might be that Tuesday. Yeah, I have it written down
somewhere. Yeah.
(35:03):
But we're it's actually coming right up and we don't, we don't
know a lot of things that that we, I feel like we should kind
of know at this point. Yeah.
So it yeah, the twins have definitely felt a little bit
light. Speaking of that, like, yeah, we
had so the conversation around the road map.
I mean, we've had it here on on the podcast over the past like
(35:24):
couple months, especially after like DMG during the ash and iron
reveal was like, hey, yeah, there's going to be a road map.
We're going to be talking about like things progressing into the
future and what to expect with these, with, with Destiny 2.
And yeah, it was like, I've beenwondering about it.
(35:44):
Like I, I posted a, a TikTok earlier this week talking about
it 'cause like it's, it hasn't manifested at all.
It's it's just one of those things where it we were promised
this thing and we're here a month out waiting for it to
manifest. We're wanting to know.
What's going to happen? Yeah.
(36:05):
Like the longer that nothing is said, the like more like the
more wary we've been getting. So this week on November 4th
Dylan DMG 04 posted fun new stuff surrounding the the
Renegade Armor trailer and had the response from somebody
(36:28):
saying asking where's the new romance road map promised to us
months ago. I feel like they've there's been
radio silence and no build up whatsoever for Renegades and
it's just a month away. That's very concerning to a very
large amount of players when thegame is already really
struggling with player numbers. DMG responded.
(36:52):
Cannot apologize enough for the delay here.
Team still jamming, Hope to havesome comms out soon.
Please continue to yell at me directly.
And I say this without any sarcasm.
Please don't yell at DMG. I'm sure he gets like enough
constructive criticism. Absolutely, but don't don't yell
at him. They're focused on our immediate
and long term future. I'm happy to take 100% of the
(37:13):
blame here. And promising comms early that
we could not execute on in the in the projected timeline.
So it's not looking like we're going to be getting a road map
about Destiny to post like anytime before Renegades at
least. I was talking with Revil about
it a little bit earlier today and he was, he was wondering if
(37:36):
maybe we would get it after the new year.
And he was saying there was, there was something about a,
there was an article revealing the next the next two DLC or the
next DLC for the next like year after this.
One of them called The Alchemist.
I don't necessarily remember that, but he said it was like
talked about back in May. So that may be something to go
(37:59):
back and revisit For more information here.
Yeah, it was just like, it's good to have comms that we're
not going to be getting that. So we know what to expect over
the next couple couple weeks leading up.
To setting expectations, even ifit's not what the community
wants to hear. Like people really want to know
(38:20):
that they're going to have a reason to pick up the game.
So I know that a lot of people are probably going to be
disappointed but by that communication.
But at least now we have an ideaand we're not complaining.
We're not getting told what's going on, you know?
Yeah. Or we've been told, we've been
told what what, what we're getting and hopefully people
won't be too, too stung about it.
(38:42):
I mean it yeah, it's it, it was one of those things, but it was
a little bit of a let down. But I can understand if there's
like if they're still like slamming away at something in
order to make the game like the best that they can before the
launch of Renegades on December 2nd, Like I'm I'm all for it.
So the other thing, let's see here following that.
(39:06):
So last week's Twid, we didn't have a Twid last we we had a
Twid last week, but it was fairly light.
It was like mostly just. Mostly community awards.
Yeah, fashion. Absolutely.
And so like, we didn't do an episode last week because we
were like, wow, what are we going to even talk about here?
What are you going to talk about?
Yeah, but they did talk a littlebit about did I just shut all
(39:28):
those? No, I didn't shut all those.
There was one thing that I thought was interesting in the
Twid from the 30th and of courseit is not wanting to play nice
with me right now. They talked about how
(39:50):
progression has has improved with nine point 1.5 O and they
said when we first launched the edge of fate, a core piece of
feedback we received was about gaining power and we heard you
it felt like it slowed down too much once you got to a higher
power level and ways to efficiently level up to level up
your power began to feel tediousand unengaging.
(40:10):
While our initial efforts marginally increased the rate of
progression at higher power levels, they clearly fell short
in making substantial impact that we that was needed.
With this in mind, our focus. When addressing the feedback in
version 9.1, point 5.1 centered around making a much stronger
impact on Power progression. In addition to the Tech Sex
(40:33):
Supply drop, which allows players to catch up to 300
power, the rate of Power gained per hour of play has more than
doubled for players above 300 Power, as seen in in the chart
below. We will continue to keep a close
eye on Power progression and howthe player experience feels.
I know my experience playing over the past couple weeks just
(40:56):
after having a couple of weeks off and like a lot of these
things kind of like popped off while I was gone.
A lot of these changes popped off while I was gone.
Playing now, I would say that itdoesn't feel as bad levelling up
(41:16):
for for my character. Over the past couple weeks I
haven't been playing a ton, but when I have I've had meaningful
gains to my to my loot drops. Good, that's really.
Good. And like, yeah, I want to say
that it I want to say like I, I,I don't necessarily know the
number that I've climbed over the past week, but between
(41:37):
Fessel lost altars of the the haunted altars and the raid
today, like I am currently boosting up to 434, which I
definitely wasn't last week. What I mean?
No, I definitely do. How are you feeling?
I was told my community promisedme that if I spent two days
(42:01):
leveling this week that I could reach the levels that I needed
to get to, that I could just finish leveling.
So I'm going to do that. I'm taking two days this week.
I'm going to see if it works. I'm going to see how high I can
get. Where are you at right now?
4/4/15 4:15 And I want to get to530 so I can do the the conquer
(42:25):
guilding, which I believe that requires 530 minimum.
So that's I have to climb another 115.
So that's the plan. The plan this week is to just
level any app and see if I can really do it in two days.
Yeah, I'll, I'll report back next.
Week without cursing too much Yeah, I.
Think it's not, It's not so much.
(42:46):
I don't get mad, I just get bored.
I think they were absolutely right in the article when they
talked about it's tedious and unengaging is apartment.
That is literally how I feel when I'm levelling.
It's it's it's tedious and unengaging, Yeah, which I guess
it's fine if you're just hangingout with your chat, but we're
watching, watching up Destiny die, just podcast.
(43:08):
Hey, you said the title of the thing.
But you know, or like watching Netflix or whatever you're
watching. But yeah, but yeah, definitely
tedious and unengaging. That is actually really
heartening. And it's it's good to see that
they've kind of kind of gotten here.
It feels like, oh God, I don't know if the community impact is
too crazy. And who knows, Who knows?
(43:30):
There's always a there's always a dip before new content comes
out. Renegades with the Star Wars,
maybe like flashy enough to pullin new people.
I'll bring in returning players, maybe more so the latter than
new people, but. Probably that more so.
Yeah, probably that more so, butOh my goodness, we definitely
need to inject some life into this game because it it's a
(43:53):
yeah. Yeah, I, I had a friend who
watched me stream one Sunday from work and he was like, he
was like, yeah, man, you made itlook fun.
So I so I downloaded it and I turned to him immediately and I
was like, I'm so sorry, you know?
Like, don't do that. What are you?
Just like, I don't know, like I love you.
I want, I want this to be, I want this to be a positive thing
(44:14):
for you, but like, I'm so sorry for any frustration you get.
Just don't have that like like on me for this.
I'm so curious if your friend ifthey're gonna like the portal
system or not as onboarding. I don't know.
I haven't played the New Light experience in forever.
Yeah. And so I don't think that
(44:35):
they've really enhanced that allthat much.
And so going from that into the portal system, like had they
gone into? The portal system like.
Had they gone into the portal system like a month ago it would
have been a worse experience probably.
Right. True.
Yeah, so. True, true, true.
(44:56):
I don't know. Yeah.
Oh my goodness, you really have. You have Your friend is the.
I mean, I know you're like, don't play it.
Your friend really is the true new player experience right now.
So I'd be curious to get a little anecdotal feedback on
what that's like. Yeah.
So I I keep checking in with him.
I was like, have you have you tried it yet?
He's like, no, no, I haven't. I haven't had time yet with the
(45:16):
kids and everything. I was like, OK, that's more than
understandable. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, it's a, it's a viewpoint that I haven't had in 10 years.
So I don't know what I don't know.
Man, and I, I, I really, I feel like, oh, I don't know, the way
that I play the game is different from everybody else
too. Like, you know, everyone plays
the game the way that they like to play the game.
(45:37):
So oh crap, I have to Guild dragit into that reminds me, yeah,
get in there. There's going to be like 5
people in the playlist, right? Now, yeah, and three of them are
going to be you. Don't you just just give me the
title. Don't make me do it.
Just fork it over and we won't have to do this.
(45:59):
I don't know, it may be, it may be the point where it's like the
death of FOMO though, because I it's it's been dying slowly for
me as I've, as I've communicatedprevious episodes.
I think the last things I'm holding onto is gilding Dragon
in every season and then also gilding Conquer every season.
But maybe this is the season where I'm just like, OK, cool.
Yeah. Maybe we're done by the wayside.
(46:20):
Maybe we're maybe we're done with FOMO completely and we're
just going to play with friends and enjoy it the way we want to
enjoy it, you know? Yeah.
Going from that shall we talk about like, I know we have cold
arms coming up and we probably like yeah, probably land this
plane on that but I think like I.
Think that was the only pithy content from this week's Twid,
(46:42):
like, like the progression was from last and the the the I
think this is the only pithy content from that.
This the Twids have been really light.
Really, really light. Yeah, yeah.
Well, we're going into the holiday season and that we.
Oh, for sure, yeah, people are, yeah, yeah, if they can actually
travel and get back to the families, you know.
Anyway, so the call to arms event you can get new new gear
(47:09):
correct? Yes, so.
Is so enticing. I feel like that's such a huge
thing because there's a lot of communication with community.
Remember they had was it right of right of the 9 right before,
but it was dropping gear that wasn't in the tier system.
So it was like how useful is this gear going to be to me?
Is it worth grinding this to have a call to arms event where
(47:31):
you can get gear that's going tobe from the new season?
Granted, they're not completely reworking the tier system, but
that's still that's still reallycool because a huge, huge draw.
It'll be like, I feel like that's the thing for returning
players like. Sure.
If if you were going to return, I think next Tuesday would
probably be the day that you would want to do it like the
(47:52):
quickest or like because you do get that that gear, it does
makes sense with the tiered system.
It will it will give you maybe aleg up in some power on that on
that side. Although like we saw in I think
the Twid a couple weeks back that they were adding like a
(48:13):
like a friends and like a friends catch up thing.
Yes. So like that it's it you're kind
of in a weird place because it'slike if you're under a certain
amount, then you're going to getthis huge boost for experience.
If you do play and you come in next week and you get all the
(48:34):
get all this gear that sets you up for next season, then that's
also a good thing. But like, I guess as a player,
if you're returning or brand new, like you kind of have to
weigh your options in that way, you know what I mean?
Yeah. And they'll like the new
weapons. So they talk about, they talked
(48:54):
about a lot about the call to arms event on the 1016 Twid,
which I think we talked about a little bit here A.
Little bit a little bit. So we're going to be getting a
lot of new weapons. The the submersion crop combat
bow. We get the romantic death
grenade launcher. We get the folded root rocket
(49:14):
launcher, ribbon tail trace rifle, Cenisea sword, Phenutrea
Farah hand cannon and the track in a shotgun.
And then with those events launching call to arms of
activities from the event home will make you and your fire team
eligible for competitive high scores.
(49:35):
The activities were our heliostat, the coil salt mines,
proving grounds and cutting edgezone control.
You also have the chance at a new shader.
You have a new helmet that has like a fiery Mohawk off the back
of it like it. It does look super neat at least
at least that like cosmetic portion of it.
(49:57):
Yeah. I'd like going from festival to
lost where you're getting like tier fives and everything for
that event and going into this one like it's just event after
event. I I.
No, it's great. I think it's really good.
Yeah, I think it's really good. It's just I think the tough
thing, it's a tough sell still, even though it's a great way to
loot up and gear up because we're missing the road map.
(50:20):
Yes, I think that's the I think that's the distinction, right,
Because if we had a road map andpeople had like a long term
reason to grind, I think that itwould be a lot more likely for
people to come and partake. But if the people, I think the
people that I know who are grinding these types of things
are people who are doing contest, contest dungeon and
they're they're gearing up for that.
Oh yeah, that's coming right around the corner.
(50:41):
Corner that's coming right up. I'm actually so excited to watch
that. Are you?
It's fantastic. Like I'm just going to ask her
Dungeons was such a great ad I'mnot I'm not going to hop in a
contest. I might if I have, I have some
friends who are competing and ifthey finish early, I might hop
in with them, but I don't have ateam organized right now.
I'm just I just I just want to relax when it first comes out,
watch the watch the race and then and then hopefully hop in.
(51:05):
I love playing things at contest.
It's so fun. Like I really want to hop in and
play contest weekend but but it's probably going to be with
my friends once they finish their runs so.
Fair enough. Yeah, what about you?
I mean, like probably, I probably have work that day.
So I'm probably, I'm not, I'll, I'll, I'll be watching like like
on a side, on a side screen justso I can get the emblems and
(51:27):
everything and rooting for my, my friends.
But yeah, I don't like, I don't know how much I'm going to be
participating in day one. Anything for the foreseeable
future, you know? You're too busy watching mature
superhero games. No, it's, it's not even that
it's. Look, I didn't know that was
(51:49):
going to happen there anyways. Yeah.
Anyways. Yeah.
So we have the call call the arms event next week.
So that'll be that'll be cool. Is that one week or two weeks
does that? How long does that go?
(52:11):
That I do not know. It's probably in the 16th TWAB.
Carla Arns starting November 11th.
Which is, ironically, Armistice Day.
Interesting. I don't see here an end date,
but I'm assuming it's going to be like 2 weeks.
(52:32):
Yeah. Oh, it's one week.
I don't know. I'm hoping it's 2.
I feel like 2 is a more appropriate yeah amount of time.
Like one week. That's just not long enough, I
think. Not long enough, I think.
I think the big thing for hype though this week was was the
Destiny 2 Renegades weapons and gear trailer that showed off all
(52:55):
of the things that we will be getting with Renegades from the
Star Wars Coded DLC that we're going to be getting.
So we have what were like some of the things that you were
looking most forward to tiddly from that, from that trailer.
Oh my goodness. I you know, I I'm re watching it
(53:18):
right now. Fair enough.
I've been a minute since I watched it.
Yeah, I don't know, like I yeah,I'm going to have to re watch
it. What about you?
Why don't you go first? So personally I think the big
thing for me, the Titan Praxis Praxic vestment looked
interesting. Oh yes, in the Twid they say you
(53:40):
gain an air move jetpack weapon and arc powered melee final
blows. Build up jetpack fuel, activate
your jetpack while airborne witha forceful blast that exhausts
nearby enemies, then fly forwardbased on the amount charged
Clyde with a combatant to unleash a blinding blast of Arc
energy and gain a temporary bonus to your melee stat that it
(54:04):
rhymes with. Something that we had back in D1
and it is it, it just seems interesting.
Like I kept seeing memes. I think it was originally from
time saying like they fly now. So yeah, it was.
That one looks interesting, really.
(54:24):
Good. Wait you could do you get an
extra melee charge? It says collide with a combatant
to unleash a blinding blast and gain temporary bonus to your
melee stat. OK.
So it's probably anything that you're seeing like after that,
like if it's another melee, you're probably seeing that
boost to the melee stat being initiated.
(54:46):
I've I've heard that the people are excited about the warlock
strand exotic and there's, there's there's some build
crafting to be done around that one.
I haven't heard a lot of people getting excited about the hunter
one, but I mean I'm not a hunterman so.
Well, the fortune's favor in theTwit, it says after landing a
(55:07):
final blow while at full health or when out of combat for an
extended duration, your Shields will recharge into an over
shield. When you haven't over shield,
your weapons gain increased accuracy, stability, handling,
and damage against combatants, and final blows will grant a
short period of increased mobility once the over shield is
depleted. So it's it's a quick way
(55:29):
seemingly. Yeah.
To to have an over shield for for hunters, which is that
something that I don't think there's?
Really. Are we Are we blurring the
classes again? I don't know.
The Hunter's a little more tanky.
I don't know. Yeah.
It feels a little like one eyed,a little bit like, I don't know,
it's got yeah, I don't know yeah.
(55:50):
Maybe for PvP. That's going to be really,
really good. Yeah.
I think that I think I'm more excited about what the exotic
armor is going to do to the game.
I think the there's a lot of, there's a lot of new guns.
I think the only one that reallyis exciting is probably the the
lightsaber, yeah. And that's the one that.
People have have the most questions about is what that's
(56:13):
going to look like. So it looks like it's going to
be a special animal sword, but that for me, that's the most
like Star Wars Wars coded of allof the new like weapons and
armor. So I think that's what people
are going to be most excited about.
I absolutely want to get one. I absolutely want to know if I
can change the glow on it with shaders too.
(56:34):
So that would be so cool. Right, from what I remember of
them talking about Renegades during the Ash and Iron reveal
as well, I believe that they said that it was like it was
kind of like it was fully customizable in a way.
So I don't know necessarily whatthat means.
I don't know if it's just apply a shader and change, change the
light on the lightsaber. Yeah, it would feel.
(56:58):
It seemed like the way they weretalking about it, it was a
little bit more like you are crafting a light Saber or you're
crafting your praxic blade in the same way that you that that
a Jedi would craft. A Jedi would craft their own as
their own as becoming a Jedi. They're Yeah.
Interesting. I love that.
I feel like that's really fun. I can't wait to do that.
Yeah. I think that for me that was
(57:19):
like the biggest stand out the Titan exotic and the Praxic
blade. I did see some people talking
about. Sneaks up once you get into the
sandbox, yeah. Yeah, we are getting another
heavy ammo sniper rifle that is an exotic with the refurbished,
a 499. It fires a single single heavy
(57:39):
hitting round and disintegrates targets on impact.
So yeah, like you won't have to have Whisper on in that slot
anymore. You could probably just have
that and like whatever else, anyexotic that you wanted, since
it's not, since it's not an exotic that we know of.
(58:00):
Yeah, that could be really, really good.
That could be really good. I'm I'm just, I'm wondering what
the damage is going to be on that.
Yeah, I guess we'll find out. Yeah, very soon I'm.
Always. I'm always like a wait and see
kind of person. Like I need to, I need to get
into my hands, I need to test it.
I need to like, see what it feels like, see how it's going
to fit into different builds, you know?
(58:20):
I'm excited. Any kind of meta shift is really
healthy and fun for the game, soI'm excited.
To hear that with this week's Twitter, they also said that
we're introducing a couple new weapons, subfamilies alongside
Renegades and 1 completely new type.
So a heat weapon. They do not have magazines,
instead they have heat sinks, allowing them to fire their ammo
(58:42):
directly from reserves while generating heat with each shot.
And they can be manually vented.Does it dissipate heat at will?
But be careful, overheating these weapons will force a
sustained vent before you can fire again.
They also have a couple of new stats to look out for.
You have heat generated, so how much heat is generated per shot,
(59:03):
cooling efficiency, how quickly the weapon will cool down when
not being fired, and vent speed, how fast the weapon reduces heat
when manually vented or overheated.
We've split the heavy weapon thethe heat weapons into two
archetypes, Dynamic, which has ahigher base damage and high heat
generated while also cooling down more rapidly between shots
(59:27):
in balance, which very low heat generated.
Manually venting a very high heat at very high heat greatly
increases the venting speed. So that sounds.
It feels, it feels very Star Warsy to have an archetype like
that. Well, it also feels like the
third iteration, which was the exotic that we got with Edge of
(59:50):
Fate, might have been the like prototype for like, hey, how how
is this going to work? Yeah.
So yeah, it's, it's, it's interesting.
I'm I'm interested to see what they do with it.
It, it definitely like to me that kind of screams the the Han
Solo gun, the hand cannon that they're going to be introducing.
(01:00:13):
I think that one's called the modified B7 pistol, which will
be a stasis and it is dynamic. So it has a higher base damage
with that. A little bit of a test running
exactly, yeah. A little bit of a Pew Pew Pew.
Yeah, I. I I really think they should
(01:00:33):
with the stormtrooper armor add kind of like more recoil or
something like. That, you know, you, you start
firing, you start aiming at somebody and just like, jerks to
the ground real quick, Yeah. Just make it harder to hit
targets if you were in the stormtrooper armor.
Just like an automatic AMD buff. It's just like the spread
(01:00:55):
increases. That would be great.
Oh, that just that sounds. Oh, that sounds like a very fun
charity thing for like a raid of.
Raid race? Oh yeah, a bonfire for a raid
fundraiser or something. Like everybody has to wear
stormtrooper armor and you have to take three shots before you
can actually fire on the enemy. So three shots around, the enemy
(01:01:18):
around. Them, yeah.
You had to paint around the target, Yep.
So basically normal gameplay forme, yes.
Same for me buddy. Same for me the the other exotic
armor that we had was the warlock dymos of fusion.
While a Strand super is equipped, casting Rift will
(01:01:40):
suspend nearby enemies. Suspended Suspend deals damage
over time, healing you in the process.
Combatants who break free from suspension suffer additional
damage. Defeating suspended target heals
you a moderate amount. This originally said it would
suspend combatants, but this will actually suspend both
combatants and players. So that's.
(01:02:04):
You might want to be careful where you pop that around your
buddies. Yeah, turns into a grease trap
all over again. The only.
Other thing we're not, we're notbitter about that at all.
Not. Bitter about that at all, buddy?
Not at all. Outside of that, there wasn't
really too much else. We.
Do I know it's so light? Yeah, we have the Veterans
(01:02:26):
Vanguard event. If you are, if you are a
cosplayer, the cosplay Cosmodrome has returned.
So there's, there's a lot of stuff coming up kind of outside
of Destiny. Yeah.
And I'm, I'm hopeful that we seemore stuff about about Renegades
in the weeks to come. You said that there is possibly
(01:02:49):
something teased about there's. There's something teased about
maybe next. Week.
I don't know. OK, I don't.
I haven't. Heard anything?
I I know what you know. OK sure of mine says that there
will be a dev blog post next next.
Week. OK, great.
Great for sandboxes. Oh yeah, yeah, people are.
People are thinking that Sandboxmight have come with this week's
(01:03:10):
TWID and it did not. So hopefully we'll get Sandbox
for Renegades this week and thisweek's TWID, yeah.
Heck yeah. With that said, why don't we get
into some questions? If you have questions, feel free
to post them in the chat. Currently I have two and we have
Colin Deshots asking what kind of things do you guys think
(01:03:31):
should be on the road map? If it's just things like this
calls the arm event meh. What?
What would you like to see in ina road map from Destiny 2 in
2025 to? I would like to see the seasons
to get a sense of kind of what that's going to look like.
Like if they have any kind of theme, like for instance,
(01:03:53):
finding out about Renegades. Although Ashton Iron was just
so, so, so much of a let down. My goodness.
But like, yeah. And then I think for for me, I
want to know when the raids are coming out like that.
That is for me, like the pinnacle of engagement I want to
know about. But I also want to know about
like new story to like like when, when are we progressing
(01:04:15):
the story? Like what is that going to look
like? You know?
So that would be on my list. I would like to know sort of
season, seasonal themes, raids and dungeons.
And then when are we getting more story?
Yeah, so I like having events like the like having events on
the road map I think is important too, especially to set
(01:04:37):
the expectation of like how longsomething, yeah, something.
We'll join or something will be around because like kind of
seeing like, oh, this was only supposed to be like 2 weeks or
something or maybe this event isone week that at least that's
the expectation of like what youshould do, like maybe what you
(01:04:59):
should aim your time for during that.
Definitely, definitely any raid race or or dungeon race
information should be on that road map and like the because we
get those little half steps now in the middle of the season.
(01:05:20):
So when when Renegades releases, when the next thing is going to
be. I believe that's we'll just have
to see what what they actually put on there.
Mr. Kalish said something in my in my chat last week that I
(01:05:40):
think is kind of important too as well to also maybe highlight,
to also kind of highlight what the next year is going to look
like and when to project, when to project, when they're going
to release like a new DLC outside of Renegades, What, what
those plans are. And maybe we see that in a dev
(01:06:03):
post post Renegades launch. Maybe they're like, instead of
doing that during the hype rallybeforehand, they do that
afterward before the Christmas break.
Who knows? Yeah, it's we'll just, we'll
just have to wait and see. But like that, those are the
(01:06:23):
things that I would like to see on the road map.
If there if there was like a secret mission or something,
maybe maybe something like a transmission from far away like
is is on the way or something like that on that day instead of
instead of like maybe saying thespecific day or something, maybe
highlighting that during during the week that way, like some
(01:06:45):
they're like, well, there's something going on this week,
but nobody knows when it's goingto drop and nobody knows exactly
what it is. As long as it had, it would be
an event or an activity that hadsome meat to it.
I think that that would be maybemaybe something that was
interesting, but maybe not something that's like this is
the exotic mission and this is exactly where you're what you're
going to get out of it and then. You right, right.
(01:07:05):
Here's Here's the next four weeks of rewards for that thing.
Maybe not that so much. Leave some mystery.
Some mystery. Exactly.
I see that you highlighted the question from Keelan as a I'm
just. Trying to keep track of where we
are. OK, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
(01:07:26):
What Mr. Peelin asked As a returning player, is the thing
to do just grind out power? I at this junction because we
have a we have the twid from a couple weeks ago.
I want to say, Oh my God, I wantto say the the one from the 9th
(01:07:53):
from October 9th maybe or was itthe 23rd?
It might have been the 23rd. It had some information about
like returning players. It says yeah, so I'm going to
(01:08:17):
drop this in here. The they talk about a returning
player, Boone. So if you players who do not
sign in or earn a total of 30 ranks during Season 27 will
qualify for the benefit of the Returners Boon, which this boon
increases all experience gains for the next 6 months.
(01:08:39):
And completing orders that you that are essentially replacing
bounties earns you a Returner's Gift up to 10 per week or until
30 have been earned in total. The Returner's Gift can be a
suite of one time Returner giftsthat are with 30 unique rewards
(01:09:03):
upon completing orders. Some of them are Tier 3 and Tier
4 gear, Some of them are Exoticaitems, Ingrams, some of them are
1000 Bright Dust. You also give a blessing to to
players that have been playing, playing throughout the entire
thing as well, helping them essentially get a boost and
experience that is in the Twid from October 23rd.
(01:09:27):
So like I think as a returning player and I don't like feel
free to hop in at any point and give your two cents here too.
Like I think it's one of those things of like maybe you go in
and get the new exotic, the exotic axe, maybe you do some
(01:09:50):
stuff next week to prepare you for Call the Arms.
And then right when you're aboutto hit level 20, level 30, you
just stop and you wait. I'm waiting for my bonus stuff.
(01:10:10):
You wait until after Thanksgiving and then you you
get the returners, you get the returners boon.
Then you get the bonuses, you'relike, I'm just gonna not gonna
push it over the limit. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna go
over the edge here. We're just.
Gonna stay and then you contact me and Dan and give us the
returners blessing and we play together, yes.
(01:10:33):
That would be there. We go get the extra benefit.
Great Fox and Chat Forever 29 yet again.
Forever 29. What a callback.
Sherpa mind truly edging fate. You, you calm down.
You guys are. You calm down, we're going to
countdown from 10. Are you ready?
OK, Nap Town Gaming asks. If Renegades fails, what's next
(01:10:56):
for Bungie? Marathon No.
That's what I was going to say. But actually, but actually.
But actually marathon. I didn't.
I actually didn't I ended up playing, I got into the closed
test and I didn't end up playingit.
So I can't. And even if I did, I couldn't
comment on it because it's, it'sthere's an NDA.
(01:11:18):
But I, when I did play the beta,I really enjoyed it.
I know there's been a lot of controversy around it and a lot
and like mixed reviews on the beta.
But yeah, marathon for sure is next.
And I I don't know. I don't, I don't know that I see
Renegades is like curative. Yeah, yeah.
(01:11:41):
I mean, if anything, I'm curiousabout continuation of the story.
But yeah, I don't, I don't know.I don't know.
Yeah. And also like it's it's it's
interesting to kind of quantify like what is a failure?
Yeah. You know, like what is a
success? What is a failure?
Like how many people need to play It is?
It a lower player count than we have now like.
(01:12:04):
I don't know. I don't know what does that look
like? I think the the like for me, a
success would be if it's interesting and fun enough to
bring people back into the game so my friends list isn't
completely empty. Like for me, that's the success
if that happens. And also like how long people
are going to stay in the game after that.
(01:12:25):
Like, what's the retention goingto look like after like a week
out, two weeks out, three weeks out?
That was that was something I was lamenting a little bit to
this week was like maybe the telenovela approach was actually
OK and like. You're like, oh, maybe the drift
content there's just like, I hated it a little bit each week.
I hated it. But it did keep you logging in.
Yeah, for sure. You know, it is really hard.
(01:12:48):
I I I have friends who contact me to organize raids because
they don't have anyone to raid and they're like, well, you know
people. Well, you can, you can set up a
raid and I'm like, OK, I mean online I love it, but it's, it
is it very much feels that way. It's like, oh, there's just not
a lot of people playing. So.
Yeah, great. Yeah.
(01:13:08):
Grey Fox 2K30 says well with GTA6 being delayed, Marathon has
some legs. Like, I really don't know man.
Like I. I thought that a crossover in
terms of like, yeah, gamers, I don't know if they're, they
might be dissimilar enough to not.
I think the biggest threat to Marathon is our craters and I
(01:13:29):
think we'll see how how long thelegs, how long that game has
legs because it's really hot right now.
But. It's really hot and I I like, I
really like it. I really like it.
It's. Really good.
It's. Surprisingly good.
It's like very much is I, I feellike it is a very good
competitor for marathon because they both feel like.
(01:13:53):
Baby's first extraction. Baby's first extraction, they're
trying to Fortnite the extraction genre, they're trying
to make it huge, they're trying to make it popular, they're
trying to make it accessible forcasuals like they're they're if
you don't want to reset in our graders, you don't have to
reset. You can just kind of vibe, you
know, so it's it's definitely not hardcore.
(01:14:15):
So yeah, I definitely think they're, I don't know.
Yeah, I want, I would love for them both to be successful, but
but yeah, I think our creators is a bigger competitor for sure.
Just who knows how long it's going to it's going to stay
popular as it is right now. I don't know.
I don't know. Great, Fox said in chat.
I was more saying like everyone was made moving out of the way
due to the giant shadow of the GTA cast.
(01:14:36):
Yeah. That's true.
Like I feel like dev companies absolutely were considering that
release because it's an enormousgaming release.
Maybe maybe like the devs are the GTA devs are overestimating
how enormous the release is going to actually be.
Yeah, right. Didn't did we talk about that in
a pod recently? But like I think it still is a
huge game. I think that it's going to take
up a lot of space and bandwidth. But but yeah, in terms of
(01:15:00):
crossover, I don't yeah, I don't.
I don't really see a lot of crossover with some some but
not. Yeah.
So we'll just have to see like what all comes from that.
I'm hoping that I'm hoping that marathon, that marathon has some
(01:15:20):
legs to it. I like obviously like it was NDA
back at like all the way all theway back forth.
So nobody, nobody that I know was like really talking about
anything, any of their experiences with it.
Yeah, I know some people were were, I know some people were
streaming it and it's like, whatthe hell are you doing, man?
(01:15:40):
No, you can't do. That I don't think anybody that
that we know. But who was it?
Spilled the T I'm just kidding. Don't do that.
His name was username 4848 and yeah so.
Yeah, I have to say, I have to say that ARC Raiders feels
better at base than Marathon did.
(01:16:01):
And that was my biggest quibble with Marathon is that the
stamina system in Marathon feelslimiting.
It feels it doesn't feel generous enough like when they
unlocked all of the abilities onthe sort of like the final
couple days it felt fun, but that's kind of where you're
starting in our creators. So like I think our creators app
base is more fun or or feel the gameplay feels better than
(01:16:23):
marathon. Yeah, it just and obviously
comparing a released game to a game that I played in beta.
So it's not a truly fair comparison yeah, but there you
go that's. My grand shing on asks, but is
it worth $40 to vibe in ARC Raiders?
I'm not It's I'm not convinced. I think it's going to be $40.00
for marathon, yeah. So like $40 is I, I think it's a
(01:16:46):
great deal. Yeah, I think, I think it's a
great deal for ARC Raiders. I really do.
Yeah, I. I I think it's AI think it is a
really fun game. Something that you say that you
say that about Marathon and there was that game and there
was anthem, right Anthem had thepromise of like being able to
(01:17:09):
fly all over this world and everything but the stamina meter
for being able to fly in any direction for any any like point
of time. That really killed it for me,
you know, And so like. It's interesting how it like
sort of like just basic movementlike that can really make or
(01:17:31):
break it for you. Like in in our graders, you have
a slide, which feels really goodand you also have a role which
feels really good for an evasiverole like marathon.
It just, I just felt like I was just walking through molasses
constantly. It just was it was kind of
unfun. And if you don't, and movement
is at base one of the biggest draws for having fun in a video
(01:17:55):
game, especially PvP oriented video game, I think movement
might be on the top of the list. But like, movement makes games
fun. So I think it's definitely a
consideration and I understand in an extraction you're trying
to give players carrots to engage, carrots to level,
carrots to grind the the abilities in the systems, right?
(01:18:16):
So you don't want them to start off as superheroes, but it has
to be bearable, you know, And itsounds like Anthem also was a
little problematic with the movement.
But like Destiny, Destiny movement is fantastic.
And we could talk a lot about the gunplay and certainly that I
think that is exceptional. But like the movement in Destiny
is feels fantastic. But it wasn't always that way
(01:18:39):
like the launch of D2, like theyhad to completely rehaul how how
movement works at the at the beginning of D2 because of how
slow everything felt. It felt so.
Slow so slow and then and then we didn't even have mantling in
in DD1 yeah, but yeah, it's justyeah like those those types of
(01:18:59):
things I think you would have toconsider on release.
I think it's I think it's a pretty easy fix though.
I don't know, I'm not enough, but I, I feel like we'll see.
I'm, I'm, I am trying to remain optimistic even though Paul
Tassi has already declared Marathon DOA.
I'm like, I'm trying to remain optimistic that it's going to be
playable and, and fun. I'm definitely going to try it
either way because I love Bungieand you know, they put out fun
(01:19:23):
games. I'm I'm hoping it's going to be
excellent. Like there's only some so much
punditry can do. Like even with our punditry, you
know what I mean? Like it's, it's one of those
things where like you have to try if it's something that
you're interested, you have to try it for yourself.
I. Think so too.
I think so too. Yeah, I mean.
But I, I also think these extraction shooters are, are, I
(01:19:45):
mean, I, I have friends who go in solo and have a great time,
but I, I definitely think that they, they're make or break
based on community, right? So if there are, if your friends
are playing it, so if there's hype, if people are enjoying
themselves, like they'll pull more people into the game.
And that's kind of where we are with it, I think.
Yeah. Sherpa mind asks what Star Wars
(01:20:06):
themed weapons, armor, exotic would you like to see over the
course of Renegades? Will you join the copium of
potential pod racer Sparrows to lead in the rebirth of Sparrow
Racing League? Now this is pod racing.
I, I the only weapon I'm really excited about that they've
(01:20:27):
announced is the lightsaber because that's iconic.
It's an iconic Star Wars. I can't leave.
Other than other than sort of like a meme.
It would be really fun. Like I was thinking about the
stormtrooper debuff. It would be really fun if they
did some kind of stormtrooper gun exotic that it was just
exactly like that. If you missed like 5 shots in a
(01:20:48):
row it gave you like an overpowered shot or something.
Oh that would be great. That would be super funny.
And then you just like you have to miss all five shots and then
your last bullet is just like hits like a truck or something
like that. I don't know.
And I, I personally for as far as Sparrow racing league pod
racers whole, I think it's a hilarious idea.
(01:21:10):
I really, yeah, but I I'm like maybe the only person who didn't
enjoy SRL. So I'm I'm good.
Like I don't need that. I would, I would watch it.
I would like, I would, I would love like community events
around something like that. But like, I'm not like I don't
you're in for that. I'm good.
(01:21:30):
Yeah, so the, I, the the blasterthat's modeled after Han solos
is probably after the lightsaber.
Probably the coolest thing to mejust because when we were kids,
(01:21:51):
they were re releasing all of those in the theatre.
I want to say it was in like 4thgrade.
Like I, I was, I was, I was in this Lutheran school.
I was in 4th grade. They're re releasing all the
Star Wars movies. We had just gotten them on VHS
and watched them the Christmas before and they started re
releasing all of them with the with the the added scenes and
(01:22:16):
around that was probably the time that I was the most excited
about Star Wars in my life. And we for like that following
Christmas, we got the little, the blasters that were that you
just, when you pulled the trigger, it just made noises and
shit like you were firing at somebody from in Star Wars.
(01:22:40):
And it was cool. It was really, really cool.
And so I have such nostalgic memories for that, that I'm
really looking forward to that weapon and I hope that it feels
good. Sounds great.
But yeah, that was that would bemy personal weapon.
And also I, I, I just don't see them adding Sparrow Racing
(01:23:02):
League back into Destiny 2 at all.
I guess you go to Destiny Risingfor that.
Yep, Destiny rising for sure. Yeah, sure.
Remind I just beg for armor thatallows me to replicate clone
squad from Republic commando. All right, sick.
I see you, but yeah, I don't know It's that's that's what I'm
(01:23:25):
looking forward to. Outside of that, I don't, I
don't know, man, like there's ifyou could get like a, I forget
what the name of that character is that that is in Jabba's
palace that just laughs all the time.
(01:23:46):
He has a very specific name. I wish I could remember it off
the top of my head. I think it would be hilarious if
we got some sort of emote, not the little salacious crumb.
There we go. Thank you, Madelat.
If we got a little salacious Crumb emote that it just sat on
our shoulder or something and went like the entire time that
(01:24:09):
we had it on the same way that when you're petting a.
Cat, I'm good. Yeah, that's fine.
That's fine. I'll just be, I'll just be on
the other side of your raid. Just go.
Nah, it would be hilarious. So yeah, I'm going to be busy
the entire That's cool. That's fine.
That's fine. I'll never see you again.
I get it. Yeah, Grey Fox with community
(01:24:35):
and a lull. What do you want in Renegades to
bring the community back into a positive light?
I just wanted to be good. Like as long as it's good.
It like has activities that has has activities that bring people
back or that like even just adding more stuff to the portal,
(01:25:03):
like we need more activities in the portal than what we have
right now. That's what I would want to see
is just for it to be good and for it to like have stuff that
is meaningful in the portal, like dungeons, like the like the
old dungeons having stuff that'sgreat.
(01:25:24):
The Mr. Keelan says Mr. no powergrind and things to chase.
The thing is, it's like whateverpower level you are right now,
you're taking into Renegades. They're not readjusting that.
So I think that that's a solid, I think that's a solid decision
on their point because they don't know when people are going
to be. Nobody knows when the like,
(01:25:49):
nobody wants to be hopping back in to regrind 300 power levels
when you just maybe got done with that a week, a week before.
Yeah, it just needs to be good. It needs to be fun.
Yeah, agreed. Agreed.
I'm with you. Lastly, we have Doom Hammer.
(01:26:09):
Do either of you foresee a time in the near future where you're
playing Destiny? Destiny significantly more
outside of Renegades, or even significantly less?
Or just status quo for now? That's so hard to know.
I, I've always been a gamer thatwill play what I want to play,
(01:26:34):
what I want to play. I've always been a destiny main
for streaming just because it's my favorite game.
But like, I, it's, it's so crazybecause I, I, we do this podcast
and then we, we start out by talking about what games we play
every week and every week I, I'mso surprised.
I'm like, I played like 5 different games this week.
Who am I, What, what is going onhere?
(01:26:55):
You know? So I, I, I think that I don't
realize what variety of games I'd like.
I actually enjoy and I actually get into, because I, I think of
myself as like a Destiny streamer, a Destiny player.
But I, I've, I have always done that though, like when Cursive
Osiris came out, I didn't play Destiny like that was definitely
(01:27:18):
like aside from maybe right now, like maybe the biggest lull for
me in my, in my destiny content and guest Destiny gameplay.
But I, it's, it's still is my favorite game of all time.
I'm definitely going to be playing a ton of Renegades when
it first comes out. I'm going to enjoy that.
I'm going to really enjoy playing with my friends.
(01:27:39):
Well, yeah, there's always an ebb and flow and I I I couldn't
foresee a time where I stopped playing Destiny 2 like
completely. Like I think that's that's, I
don't think, I don't know that there is any game that's going
to last forever, right? So I don't know what that would
look like. I don't see that happening soon,
but I see, I see it kind of likeit normally is for me, at least
(01:28:01):
as a gamer is I'm going to, I'm going to play what's interesting
to me and I'm going to consume the Destiny content that I want
to, you know, AKA for me rating mostly with friends.
But yeah, I'm not going to hold myself back from enjoying a lot
of other stuff too. So yeah, yeah, I think that they
(01:28:22):
would have to do a lot for the old activities in order to make
me want to come back and play a lot more.
Like if I knew that that like there was something about the
rotation of having raids where you knew which activities you
(01:28:45):
were going to be like which which raids had gear that week
kind of churning through, that did bring me back and it brought
friends back and we like stayed fresh on that, on those
activities and and those encounters.
Right now it's like, I don't really feel that at all.
Like it's, it just feels like I'm playing very few things in a
(01:29:10):
game that has a lot more in it that isn't touched by the new
system. And so I would.
True, because we don't like dungeons or old rates.
You don't get tiered gear. That's that's such a huge
oversight, Dan. Like I think it it you're right.
I mean it's almost like they soft sunset all these activities
because you can't get current loot in the current system for
(01:29:33):
playing. Them and the desert Perpetual is
cool and stuff, but like, I was just getting good at Salvation's
Edge, you know what I mean? And like now I have no reason to
go back and play that so. Right now you're not going to
tell. Yeah, I, I, Oh my goodness.
We did. So playing with Llama, he was
working on his like going back and doing his raid titles as we
(01:29:55):
went back and did like, like a full, a full master run with
challenges and stuff. And like we, we did a couple
like master challenge raids. It was so much fun.
It was so much fun. But you know, we did that and
they're like, obviously we were trying to help Llama get his
(01:30:16):
titles, but other than that, there was no loot or levelling
benefit to doing that. It was friendship time and it
was really fun. But all of us had already done
like the raid titles. And so it was just like, OK,
friendship time, you know, But man, like think about all of the
the activities that you just that are just exist in the game,
(01:30:39):
but no one is there. It's got like crickets, you
know, tumbleweeds, you know? It's like Woody and Buzz
Lightyear, right? Like what?
Wait, what? The portal is, but the portal is
Buzz Lightyear. OK, Portal is Buzz Lightyear.
OK, and I still try to understand.
(01:30:59):
And Andy gets it right, and he plays around with it for a
little bit, right? Yes.
In the movie, yes. Are you following me?
Are you following? Me now, I follow you now.
OK, I'm with you now. And then like eventually like
those things like end up at SIDS, whatever, but like he's
playing around with like Buzz, Buzz Lightyear and everything.
The cool new toy, Yeah. The cool new toy.
And that's how we were with the Edge of Fate, right?
(01:31:20):
And then. But Woody's always been there.
Woody's been old reliable. Woody's been in the background
making sure that like all the toys are like in line and
hanging out and ready when, whenAndy wants to play with them,
right? So all the old raids and
dungeons and all the old activities, those are all, those
are all Woody. I miss Woody, right?
(01:31:41):
Or are they? Are they Sid's toys that are
missing limbs and heads and stuff in the?
Did you ever do that to your like?
Side tangent question here. He did.
I would cut all of the hair off of my dolls and like, I would
color on them like you're a child, Like, OK, like not.
No, no. Did you?
(01:32:01):
I would not do that. To your no I.
Did never precious. I was never precious with my
toys. No, I did.
I would always play with them. My parents, if anything happened
like that to any of our toys, they would get so upset because
it was like they they were like, well, we purchased these for you
and that that's like not respectful.
It's so. Crazy.
(01:32:23):
Yeah. I mean, I like, I mean, I wasn't
my parents now too. I was a kid.
I was a child. I was like, you know, I would.
Yeah. I was like, oh, this is really
fun. But like, you know, it would.
It would. God, playing with toys as a kid.
It was just very much about storytelling and if it made
sense and the story. Yeah, I'm going to cut my doll's
hair. Sure, I'm going to do that.
Hell yeah. Anyway, that's really funny that
(01:32:45):
you weren't allowed to do that. Yeah, we weren't able to do
that. I distinctly remember my my, I
had a Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtle blimp.
Like I had the blimp and it had like a huge balloon on top of it
and my brother popped it and like and like he got in trouble
(01:33:08):
for popping it, but I also got in trouble because I was hitting
him with it because it like I like, I mean, understandable.
Oh. I love it.
But yeah, it was. It was.
But I yeah, I definitely think we are.
A lot of the content is, is in the in the side yard missing
ahead. So it's still good content
(01:33:30):
though. It's just no one wants to play
it. No, because yeah, because does
it have, you know, it doesn't have the stuff.
But I also think the sidbit I like, it's a bit of like he was,
I mean, he was, he was blowing them up.
Like there's like he was, he wasa little terrorist of a kid.
Like if I'm being, if I'm being honest, like no see.
(01:33:53):
I didn't either, but. Yeah, that was that was the
whole thing. All right, let's land this
plane. OK, Tiddly.
What? What do you have coming up this
week? Where can people find you on the
Internet, friend? What do I have this week?
So I'm going to be doing 2 days of leveling.
(01:34:16):
I think we're going to do another 5 foot raid on Thursday
and then I'm hopping back into ARC Raiders on Friday and then
Tuesday I'm doing raids with friends too.
So it's going to be actually a pretty heavy Destiny Week this
week. As a reminder, I am still
raising money for Feeding America.
So if you come by my channel, you can donate directly.
(01:34:37):
It's the charity button replacesthe sub button.
So I appreciate everyone who's already donated.
And if you would like to do something to help people who are
hungry in the United States, that's a great way to donate and
support. I'm live on twitch.tv/tiddly
Monday through Friday, 9:00 central.
You can also find me on Blue Skyat Tiddly.
(01:34:57):
So come and do something good. Hell yeah, yeah, Mr. Kader says.
Don't make your drink anymore out of the shoe, please.
I mean, I, I, I don't know, it was very effective.
I actually don't, I don't not tokeep talking when we're trying
to land the plane. But I don't hate the shoe beers
are the first one I had was a sour and it tasted yeasty and I
(01:35:17):
don't like sours anyway. And I thought it was like foot
yeast, but it really wasn't footyeast.
It was just the beer. Tasted.
The sour, Yeah, the beer tastes like foot.
I feel like normal. Normal.
The normal beers have tasted fine.
Anyway, it was a well used chew. That's correct.
Yes. OK.
All right. To you, Dan.
I just, I just completely forgoteverything else you said Yeasty
(01:35:44):
and I just no. So all right, so you can find me
on on twitchtwitch.tv/day Infinity Tuesday, Thursday and
Sunday playing games for you on the Internet.
(01:36:05):
You can also find me everywhere day Infinity GG on all the
socials. You can find me on my website
day Infinity dot GG. I should be posting an article
sometime this week. Starting on November 18th.
We will be we'll be raising money for a second helping the
food rescue charity based on my hometown of Indianapolis, IN and
(01:36:25):
we will have I believe that somebody is donating a couple of
collector's editions of old destiny expansions.
So that that's a cool opportunity for you to possibly,
possibly win some of those. I the only disgusting thing that
I can think that I'm so I found these I found these little
(01:36:45):
mallort candies. Have you ever had Mallort?
No. OK, it's, it's something you
should do at least once in your life, but I found these little
malort candies and I think that that like I'm adding them to my,
to my list of disgusting candiesthat I eat during streams.
(01:37:05):
So like, candy corn is one of them, salted licorice is another
one, and now it'll be Malort candies as well.
I have I have another disgustingfood item for you to add that
I'm planning to do for my my forthe Puppies fundraiser.
OK, sure. Yeah.
A Midwest salad. OK, so so explain to the people
(01:37:27):
at home what a Midwest salad is,please.
It usually it's, there's typically no lettuce in a
Midwest salad. It usually contains jello, some
sort of mayonnaise there. If you Google Midwest salad,
just the, the stuff that you seeis like horrifying.
It's like Snickers and Mayo mixed together and stuff like
(01:37:50):
that. Really bad.
It's really bad. So I thought that would be kind
of fun to pick a a Midwest saladrecipe and then do that for do
that for a fundraiser. So when I was a child, I this
has become like therapy time with Dan This episode I feel
like. We talked about the toys, we're
going to talk about the. Toys we talked about, talked
(01:38:11):
about all sorts of things. Say when I was a kid, my mom, we
were at the deli counter and I was like, can we, oh, can we get
the chocolate mousse? Because it looked really good,
right? And so, so we got the chocolate
mousse, right? Oh my God.
And we got home and we started eating it and there were onions
in it. Because the person, the person
(01:38:33):
who was at the deli counter was not using the right utensil or
using a separate utensil betweenthe things.
And there's cross onion contamination, so I got.
Cross cross contamination with the onions and it it nearly
ruined chocolate mousse for me. Like for most of my life.
Jenny, Jenny and I have worked through that.
(01:38:54):
We've worked past. It OK, Good, good.
Which is great for doing that, yes.
But like, Nah dog. So there you go, chocolate
mousse with onions. Normally when we land this, I
feel good. Until he was never been invited
(01:39:15):
back for another episode of Destiny Digest.
I may not be invited back, I don't know.
I'll just hand the keys to you guys and you could just.
This has been really fun. Yeah.
Oh no. Oh dear.
All right, well, thank you everybody and Chat for listening
to this week's episode 120 of the Destiny Digest podcast.
(01:39:37):
I hope you're well, and I hope you find what you're grinding
for.
