I'm running the show tonight. Dan is off having some great
fun. So it's going to be myself, it's
going to be Tiddlywinks and it'sgoing to be Mr. Epic Dan.
So a little bit, you know, up, up and down, probably with me.
I'm, you know, me, I'm scatty brain like all over the place.

(00:33):
So we're going to try and stick to the, you know, the, the, the
show, the show schedule. But yeah, we'll go from there.
So if you don't know me, I pop in every now and again, you
know, trying to keep up and trying to keep up with destiny,
trying to keep up with my friends here and, you know, just
try and make it whenever I can. But someone thought it was a

(00:54):
great idea to let me run the show tonight.
So hello. It's great to be here.
It's great to be here. And of course, joined by tiddly
and epic Dan. Sammy Cat couldn't make it.
And obviously Dan is out. I'll let him tell you about all
that on his own socials this week or on his stream because
him and I, we're going to be streaming a lot.

(01:14):
I don't know if you 2 are takingpart in the exact same thing we
are, but we'll learn more about that soon.
So yeah, we're going to go through or the latest over the
last week in Destiny, obviously Renegades launched and
everyone's been having fun or everyone's had some opinions
about it. So we're going to go through and
do that. But before we do go through,

(01:35):
obviously, you know, we're now on episode 123.
You can find us pretty much liveevery single Sunday afternoon
evening in the UK, morning in Australia, find us at the same
time every single Sunday and that is 330 PMPT 6:30 PM Eastern

standard on twitch.tv/destiny Digest.
You'll also find us wherever thehell you find your podcasts all
over the place. Dan has done a great job at
putting it out and being accessible to no matter where
you want to listen to your media.
If you do want want to come through to the live show every
Sunday, you can ask questions. We'll go do our best to answer

(02:17):
those questions at the end of the show, provide our sort of
wisdom, our kind of, you know, opinions on that.
Try to be as unbiased as we can usually, but you know, that's
that's our opinions and we'll give you the we'll give those to
you at the end of the show. So pop them and chat.
We'll take a note and then we'llput them up there to be answered
at the end. So just to go over and also, if

(02:42):
you like the show, you can also share the podcast and leave a
review on any of those platformsas well.
Share it off to your friends, share it off to, you know, you,
your your great grandmother, shemight be interested.
You know, it's 2025, you know, we're all still having fun and
learning new stuff. Maybe she likes destiny.
You never know until you ask. But cool.

(03:02):
To start off today, let's start with Mr. Epic Dan.
Dan Renegades launched this week.
What have you been up to? How you been liking it?
I've played a lot of Destiny this week and I've played a lot
of Renegades. It's been a fun week.
I don't know how other people feel about it.
I know you've talked a lot aboutwas it a good idea?

(03:27):
Was it a bad idea for Renegades to be basically a Star Wars DLC?
But personally I've enjoyed it. I guess it's because I'm not a
die hard Star Wars fan, but I'veenjoyed my time and Destiny just
in general, especially with all of the changes, has been a lot
to test, been a lot of really good weapons to go after now

(03:49):
just for new builds and it's been a good time.
So I don't think I've played this much Destiny back-to-back
to back days. I've not played, Yeah, I've
pretty much played Dessie every all month.
Yeah, I was trying to. I was trying to count the days.
I've played it every day this month so been good.

(04:12):
That's good. That's great.
And you said there were obviously some new guns.
Is there anything that sort of stands out from this week that
you haven't been able to put down?
Besides the lightsaber? Or are we including the
lightsaber? I've tried to keep away from the
lightsaber myself so I know how hard that is, but especially on
Titan, I said it last. Episode, But I guess the if

(04:32):
we're not including that. Another one that I've really
enjoyed was the M17 Talker, I think is what it's called.
It's a new 900 SMG. All the like the clone commando
one, the like overheating one. Yeah, I can't put that down
either. Yeah.
That one's really good, especially with Corpse Bloom.
Really enjoying that one. Yeah, I don't really think

(04:55):
there's a a bad Star Wars like gun, but that's the one I've
enjoyed the most. Yeah, no, I definitely agree
with you there. And tiddly how are we liking it
all? What have you been up to?
Yes, Chef, I'm liking Renegades.I think that it's fantastic.
I have a lot of thoughts on it. I know we're going to get into

(05:16):
that. I did play a couple other games
this week. I did a little bit of Arc
Raiders with friends, which is still super fun and I feel
behind in it, but it's totally fun.
And then today I checked out thenew season of Fortnite and it's,
it's so good. It's so good.
Like they have this like this big like arc Canon.

(05:41):
And it is just like, it's basically like using a laser.
And then if you have people who are grouped at tracks.
So it's, it basically allows me to live out.
Speaking of Star Wars, my my Star Wars arc fantasy in
Fortnite, it's so fun. It's like literally my kind of

(06:01):
gun. It's enormous and it's like a
laser and it's really fun. There's also a drivable reboot
van which is really cool. Yeah, because you've been able
to like drive vehicles like for many years now, haven't you?
So it was. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
But this is the first time you've been able to drive the
reboot fan. So that's very, very fun.
So we we, we got our first umbrella, which is great.

(06:23):
I try to get the Fortnite umbrella every season.
That was really fun today, but II definitely am going to play
this season. I think it's great.
They also my husband bought me acat.
They have pets now, so they're. I saw that.
Which is great. So yeah, I logged on today and
of course he got it for me because it's very cute.
Amazing. Yeah.

(06:43):
Is there like a wide variety of cats in it or like like?
No, there's only a singular cat.But, but I mean it's it's
monetization which Fortnite doesspectacularly.
So I'm sure they're going to addadditional, additional pets.
I have 3 already, 2 are gifted, I have the dog, I have a pig and
I have a cat so which is hilarious.

(07:04):
So is it. I love Fortnite.
I saw a joke, I don't know if itwas a joke or anything, but it
was courage. Courage.
JD reacting to like Fortnite putting out a thing of his dog.
So is his dog like animated in it?
Do you know if that's? Oh, I didn't know that, but
there, there, there are. I think there's actually a
couple dog options, but I think there's a pug, which is the one
that I have. And then there's another one

(07:26):
that was a backpack, an earnablebackpack in a previous season.
And if you'd earned it, then yougot that pet for free.
But I did not earn that pet. So that maybe, maybe that's one
you're talking about. I mean, I'm not sure it could
have been. I know that.
Yeah, it does have. Collaborations with creators.
So yeah, yeah, I think that sounds about right.
Yeah. Oh awesome.

(07:47):
Cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then Renegades. I've been playing that every,
almost every day. I actually, I, I think for me,
the story is so good. I actually played it on my on my
same character a second time to help a friend because we were at

(08:07):
different places. And I, I think this is the first
story that I didn't mind playingit more than once.
Like I actually enjoyed it a second time.
There's so many missions that are just like, yeah, fantastic.
Like all of the anything where you're in a vehicle.
I am just like, heck yeah, this is great.

(08:27):
My favorite Renegades weapon is Uncivil Discourse, which is the
hand cannon. I got one with air trigger and
like just the ammo and it feels like a legendary Forerunner and
it's which I love Forerunner. That is literally my favorite.
I have not taken that off. I'm running lightsaber on civil

(08:49):
discourse and then I don't know machine gun or like something
else like I but I won't take it off.
It's so good. It's so good.
It's OK, it's a hand cannon, butit feels like it feels like a
sidearm, like a. Fall on her sidearm.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I guess like feels
very precise, yeah. I guess like how Dan has made
hit that hat his entire identityrecently, we're now like making

(09:12):
these guns our entire identity as well, so.
Yeah, absolutely. Well, there.
If if I had to choose one Renegades gun that was my entire
identity, it would be this one on Civil Discourse.
It's fantastic. No, I love it.
Yeah, no, it's great. I'm really liking the new
content. That's awesome.
Yeah. I'm, I'm, I'm pretty much sort
of up there as well. I was sort of so more excited

(09:33):
for this content dropping than like any sort of previous year
of like content recently. Like more excited than Final
Shape, more excited than Edge ofEight too.
So yeah, yeah, yeah. Because it was like we were
obviously coming off of off of Lightfall the previous year.
And there's obviously like so much happening around that time

(09:56):
externally from just being in the game as well.
But not, it's not to say, yeah, not to say I wasn't excited for
it, but I'm just definitely moreexcited for it this time sort of
coming up. But yeah, no, I, I jumped in and
I'll tell you, like, I guess we won't sort of go too heavily
into spoilers just in case. You know, ultimately people are

(10:17):
watching you live there. There's only one spoiler we got
to talk about Anne, and it's notreally a spoiler.
Anne. We got to talk about the last
mission without spoiling it. Is this, is this what I
commented on your Instagram? Like the yeah, the the classic
classic. Like Bungie?

(10:38):
It's classic Bungie and classic Halo.
Because just like what Tilly wastalking about when I was
thinking. Literally was about the second.
You're talking about the the whole hobby and vehicles.
You literally start the mission off in a Brig.
Yes. And you're like, OK.
Fun. The brigs are so much fun.
I'm like freaking out about the brigs.
Oh my God, yes. And you're like, OK, we're

(11:00):
starting this final mission off with a bang.
Yep. Yeah, yeah.
And. Then and then it gets to the
end. Well, I won't spoil that, but
then you get to the end end and you're like, show this to anyone
that hasn't played Destiny in six months and they'll be like,
this is not the Destiny. I know.
It's like so good. It's so good.

(11:21):
And it did feel like I was talking to my husband about it
yesterday. It did feel a little bit like
they did talk a little bit aboutthe nine.
There was a like a slight amountof integration with the main
storyline, but it did feel a little bit like kind of a
tangent, like we're taking a little detour into Star Wars and
then we're going to loop back tothe 9 and the main thing.

(11:44):
But, and I feel like that's one of the criticisms is kind of
kind of come out about the story, but I don't know how they
would have done it otherwise anddone it well.
I think this was the correct wayto go.
I think that it was just, it's just this incredibly enjoyable
detour and it's it's very much exactly as they described.

(12:04):
It's Star Wars, but it's Star Wars.
It's very Destiny like. It's Destiny 1st and then with a
Star Wars flavor to it. But Oh my God, I was just
geeking out like as soon as the the first cutscene happened.
And then the music, because the like the orchestration that
Bungie does is always phenomenal.

(12:24):
And the, and the music came in and I was like, this is, it's
it's Destiny, but this is Star Wars sounding music.
Like what is this, this music? It's so good.
And then and then you know, the Cabal or the Stormtroopers and
they're just like not getting any shots.
Did you notice the first cabal walking through the thing to see
the drifter bumped his head on the door?

(12:47):
No, I didn't notice that. But there were so many wonderful
clever details like that, like the, the, the introduction of
the, the bad guy, right, and howhe kind of walks in in this
ominous Vader like way, like the, the way, the way that like
you have a like a Star Wars likecantina that's like the social
space and even like a death startype thing.

(13:10):
It's like, it's basically, it's basically destiny as you know it
and love it, but with but Star Wars coded and I did not expect
it to be so much fun. It is so much fun.
And one of the reasons it is so much fun.
It's not just because I was geeking out at every single
thing. I was like, Oh my God, there's
that. Oh my God, the the the ghost
sounds like R2D2 now, like like everything that's happening, I'm

(13:33):
like, this is amazing, but like it's it's also because the thing
that we know and love, at least one of the things I know and
love best about bungee from Haloand the other games that they've
made and Destiny also is that the gun feel is so fantastic,
right? It's one of the main selling
qualities of the video game. So you take that, you take a
studio that is excellent at doing sound design and like, you

(13:58):
know, like gun feel and then andthen you you basically make Star
Wars guns with that. And now you can actually shoot
the blaster and it makes the sound.
You can throw your light Saber and it goes and you're like, oh,
that's crazy. Like that is it's I can't tell

(14:19):
you how satisfying that is, Thatis, is so, so, so fun, like just
using these these Star Wars gunsbecause they like they nailed
it. Like it literally feels like I
think for me, this is probably like one of the best Star Wars
games I've ever right, which is crazy to say, But I don't know
what that another game has done the weapons justice like they

(14:41):
did in this expansion. It's fan fucking plastic.
It's so good. No, I definitely, definitely
agree. And it's, you know, literally
from ambiance, noise, walking around fastest junction and all
that to you know, like you said, all the like sound effects, the
gun effects, the the feel, the guns.
It feels like if we didn't already know it as Star Wars, it

(15:04):
feels like it belongs there, youknow?
And it feels like it's out of place.
Yeah, it doesn't feel like it kind of got copy pasted.
It feels like really integrated into it feels destiny first,
right? But, but, but it, but it is very
liberal with quoting all these things that you know and love
and and they don't I I don't think that they really cared

(15:26):
about leaning too much into originality in the story or in
the references. And I think that's fine because
you're just going through and you're like, oh, look, there's
the Sarlac pit and we're going to blow up the the pleasure bars
and recognize this. This is iconic.
I'm like, you know, I don't, I don't know if it would hit the
hit of I don't know if it would have hit the same way.
I was getting nostalgia playing something brand new.

(15:48):
I was like, what is this feeling?
I love this, right? It was fantastic.
No, I think nostalgia is obviously to play off that and
they always do so well to sort of do that, especially with like
bringing content back from Destiny 1.
You try and disagree, but you know, you don't just end up
agreeing anyway. But going back to sort of like
Dan and I are getting like geeking out early.

(16:10):
And obviously you've said you'rea Halo fan.
So just that classic Halo feeling in the end.
Oh, for those arrows. Yep.
And all that. And I was just there.
I was just so happy to be able to like do something like that.
It felt like classic Halo. It even felt like new Halo.
It was like, I was just like, all right, who who's still

(16:30):
working at bungee after like these 20 years?
That's like doing this. Somebody's working.
Someone's had their finger in it.
Last week, Sammy said that the studio was really excited about
this expansion, and now I see why it's it's really good.
I think that they did such a good job with that final mission
that if you noticed some of the larger enemies that you have to
destroy as you're moving through, their health was less

(16:52):
than it was in when you're playing through the regular
story. But I'm sure they did that
intentionally, like it's little details like that.
I'm sure they did that intentionally because you want
to keep going, like you don't want to lose like the momentum.
So there's obstacles, but they're not untenable.
They didn't make, it's like theydidn't make the course so
difficult that it would be frustrating.

(17:13):
It's just satisfying. It's so satisfying.
I think that this may be one of the best stories, like most most
fun playable story campaigns that they've done.
I think another quibble like Eddie and Chat, and I think I've
heard this from other people too, that they did integrate a
fair amount of the seasonal activity, this, that basically.

(17:37):
That is my one complaint, yeah. Yes, yes.
And I totally see that because it's there, there's, you're
essentially doing lawless frontiers interspersed with
different types of original content.
And I can definitely see that asa valid complaint.
But I didn't notice it in as jarring way as I've noticed that
with other types of DLCS and soymissions like I think it was.

(18:00):
I, I, I understand that completely, but I, I, it didn't
bother me really. And then the exotic mission was
great too. I really enjoyed the, the fire
and ice mission. I thought that was really
fantastic. Yeah, no, that that's do.
You think it's an anxiety mission?
Because I've been wondering to. Happen.
It felt more like a puzzle strike to me.
Because a lot of people, yeah, have talked to a lot of people

(18:23):
this week regarding fire and iceand we're not going to like this
a great mission. However, there have been people
that have complained that it's too hard because of it being a
campaign mission when it's technically, like you said, it's
an anxiety mission. It's an exotic mission.
As a campaign mission, yes. So a lot of people, I remember

(18:47):
they were saying that they were complaining about how they
couldn't get it done, either because of the puzzle part,
because of the platforming, or because of the final boss is
pretty difficult when it's your first time going through.
Yeah, sure it is. It takes a.
Long time it takes a long. Time and the boss is frustrating
because the figuring out the mechanic is frustrating and then
also he's just lambasting and the entire like like laser

(19:11):
gunning you you're like leave mealone.
I'm trying to figure this crap out, you jerk.
Like. I I was watching like so many
people, like, you know, the following day and the day after
I'd sort of done it like on on their streams and them just
trying to figure it out and they're just like, no spoilers.
I'm like, Yep, no spoilers, but balance.
I'm like just find the balance. But I still don't know how it

(19:31):
works. I've done it twice.
I don't know how it works. I just.
So you just. Once I figured it out it made so
much sense because I've had a lot of people even yesterday
complaining. It's such a weird.
Thing out of his mind with frustration and I was trying to
explain it to him and it wasn't working and I was like I still
don't know how this works. It's it's literally.

(19:52):
Been adding the catalysis and that makes even more.
That makes people even more. Confused.
I don't get it so. Yeah, I don't because you have
to take the, you have to take all of the concept of the bass
version of it and then inverse it, which is like was like it's
such a cool mechanic and I thinkit's a really good exact

(20:13):
mission, but I can understand people being absolutely
confused. Because it's it's out of
nowhere. I I thought.
Don't even include the timer that they add too.
So now you have the urgency and pressure.
Oh no, I was going to do that tomorrow.
Maybe I don't want to do that onstream.
No, no, no. You can do it.
It's. You'll be fine.
If people help you, it's. Not.

(20:35):
Bad there's also a cheese that people are doing I even I even
put a video out for it where youbasically can go in little
problem and. Do.
There at the and do no timer. So like if you don't want to,
like I guarantee if you go on and do this and you and you wipe
a few times, someone's going to come out in your chat and be
like, hey, you know, you can turn off the timer by doing such

(20:58):
and such. And I'll be like, what did you
find that from Epic Dan 22? Check out his TikTok.
Because I had, I made AI did allthis stuff and then people are
still complaining. I was like, well, you know what,
here's just trying to turn off the timer and do this so you
can't complain. But it's like people have
complained that like, I want thelightsaber because this mission

(21:19):
is how you get the lightsaber. This is why I I purchased
Renegades, yes. And I've seen a lot of pushback
on how it's been implemented. I think it's perfectly fine.
But when the selling point of for a lot of people of the camp,
of the campaign and of Renegadesis the lightsaber, putting it

(21:42):
behind an exotic mission but calling it a campaign can be
kind of frustrating. Yeah, I understand that.
Is this a weird thing? Do you think it would have been
better if they added it is like the the exotic on the battle
pass or the season pass? Just absolutely no like you.
You like that they hit it. I like hit it well, I like that
it's a part of the campaign. Absolutely.

(22:03):
Yeah, Yeah, yeah. It's a linear path to getting it
as well, right? It doesn't obviously require you
to kind of get a fire team and. Yeah, I mean, you're going to
get it. You're you're guaranteed to get
it along the way, but you do have to complete the exotic
mission. I I mean, I honestly thought it
was like an exotic mission. Like, like it didn't feel that
crazy to me. Like I feel like we've had way

(22:23):
more complicated and difficult exotic mission.
Oh, exactly. So even though the jumping
puzzle, I I get it. The jumping puzzle can be I know
my husband was like this stupid hacking jumping puzzle.
Took me like 45 minutes to do. Hard to look up the esoteric
video. The problem was so crazy.
Why am I doing this? I've seen some people say that

(22:47):
they that they wanted they wanted the version in the
campaign or you just got the lightsaber to be very simple.
And then for the Catalyst, therewas a separate version that was
like actually the hard 1. So I don't know, it's just been
very interesting. But I, I think long term I would
like for them to include stuff like this in the in their

(23:09):
campaigns more often or like merge their worlds.
Because even like the lawless frontier being included was, I
didn't think that I didn't enjoythat inclusion until after I
finished the entire campaign. Because looking back, I was
like, OK, you know what, this isn't bad.
As I was doing, I was like, it'snot bad.
But when I was looking bad, I was like, you know what?

(23:32):
Which part of this entire 7 hours of playing through this
was the actual campaign. And then I had to read, I had to
read lore. And it's typically all part of
the campaign. It's just the way they spread it
out. Even the law is frontier.
Yeah, it's like actual campaigns.
Like, I mean, I've seen a lot ofpeople obviously weighing in on

(23:52):
that. Some people like go on super far
just saying, oh, she's a bunch of being lazy all that like
everything on the sun being sane, right?
But it's not the first time. They've obviously put like the
seasonal activity part inside the thing.
Like I'm not because blind well, obviously comes after you
complete the, you know, Forsakencampaign.

(24:13):
But Forsaken. Yeah.
But you know, you've got others like, you know, the sorrow on
the moon. What is that?
Ultra is a sorrow on the moon, right?
That's you, you get introduced to that.
So it's like an introductory thing sort of going through.
But obviously, as you go throughand it is integrated, it's

(24:34):
integrated more than it has beenin the past because it then
obviously reward you with the newer stuff to use, the newer
stuff to go through and the amount of hollow foil stuff
you're getting throughout, you know, the campaign that if
you're still going to use, I'm still going to use for a bloody
long time. And you know, the the law
implications throughout as well. It's just, it's opening you up

(24:57):
to this whole new side of the Destiny world.
And even though you're playing through it and it's the the seas
like seasonal activity, the you know, however you want to go
about it, it is all throughout playing it, you're still hearing
the the dialogue playing over. You're not going to hear that
dialogue again going back through, you know, so I get, I
get what people are saying, but I'm also like, it is

(25:19):
fundamentally different than it has been before and implemented
better than they have done in the past.
I think so. I think it was way more seamless
to have it. I, I, I didn't notice it the
first time I played through. I only noticed it when somebody
brought it up after I'd finishedthe other.
The other complaint that I've heard is there's a lot of like,
talk to this person, talk to this person, talk to this person

(25:39):
like, but which, which I, I mean, it's funny, it's true.
It's always, it's. True, but it also isn't that
bad. It's not like you're you have to
go talk to somebody on Nasus andthen queue back into the tower,
right? Everyone's in the cantina, you
know, like you got, you just gotto talk.
You just got to run around the cantina and talk to people and
it's fast. So it's like I I thought that

(26:00):
was totally fine. And like, and also, can we just
say that Blue is a fantastic addition in terms of comedic
relief? I love seeing everyone's
reactions, posting the days afterwards and like the amount
of like people in the chat and then and the voice actress for
her has been reacting to people reacting.
You know, I'm just like, Oh my. God, she's great.

(26:21):
I love her. Give her more money.
She's fantastic. Give her.
More we need her more in. I think she's fantastic.
Yeah. Oh my goodness, it's so good.
So. And then you were saying the
other day when I came in about the Australian, the Australian
character as well. Oh yes, yes or Noor?
It's literally what I heard all day.

(26:43):
I heard it all fucking day. Noor.
Oh Noor. She's Australian.
Or Noor. No way.
This character has literally been in law for like, the last
decade. And like, now people are
starting to do it. So oh, Noor.
Oh, there's one thing that I gotpicked up on when I first moved

(27:03):
to the UK was just like when I was like, agreeing with someone
and like, acknowledging someone.I'd go, oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh,
yeah, yeah. And then if people just start
saying it, I'm like, oh, I'm just going to shut up here.
No, yeah, you're not. Oh yeah.
Oh yeah. Oh.
No cool with all that. Dan has actually sent in some
notes that he would like us to sort of highlight, you know, of
what he's done from last week and, you know, his thoughts and

(27:26):
everything. So I don't know if I'm not going
to go through and like pick my part, but I'll just literally
just, you know, highlight them and point them.
So DLC was more action-packed than Edge of Fate.
He liked that it wasn't as gimmicky as Edge of Fate outside
of the Star Wars coat of paint on the story.

(27:47):
He didn't love the running around to different NPC's
between missions. Ran some bugs where I said I
wasn't able to finish a convo even though he did.
May think many people did have that.
That said, new additions to the cast were great, although it's
not as I'm not as big a fan of blue as others are.
All right. Campaign as a whole felt like a

(28:10):
season story was nice to have things to do, but some parts of
the structure felt hollow. Also felt oddly reminiscent of
the almighty ending in some pieces.
I've seen that as well. Let's say I've read about that
where like the final, well, I was playing the final mission,

(28:33):
there's some parts of it that are there.
I had to go back and watch it because I've I forgot how old
Red War was and I went back and watched like a old YouTube video
of it and there is a small section of the final mission
that looks very similar to. Is it the whole way?

(28:53):
Almighty Mission. I saw a video and someone was
like, Oh no, they used the freaking, you know, hallway.
They reused an asset of the. Hallway.
Well, no, no, no, that's anothermission, right?
But the one I saw was they use ainstead of driving whatever that
vehicle is, we pulled out of thin air.
I've been calling it the Ghost Rider vehicle because that's

(29:14):
what it reminded. Me of yes, that's what I said.
You use an interceptor and you have to go inside of the
Almighty and you have to like blow up all this stuff, which is
kind of similar. So I could see that.
The only one that I would argue is a bit more prevalent was one
of the final bosses is in the exact same room that Gauls. 1 of

(29:37):
Dominus Gauls minions from the Red War campaign is in the exact
same one. I personally do not care
anymore. I don't care either.
Because most people that are playing now, they didn't play in
the Red War. So it's, it's it's weird when
people keep bringing up 2017 content when most of the people

(30:02):
that play that content don't play this game.
Don't play the game anymore. I mean, I yeah, there was one
room that I noticed and I'm like, I know this room.
I've this room is in a mission Yeah it it and it would but it
was like painted different, but the the layout with the ramps
and like have the bridge in the middle.
You do know what I'm talking about?

(30:23):
I'm like. I know that's what I'm talking
about. That's what you're talking.
About it was a coffee and. Cresage.
Oh yeah, Presage. It's in presage.
Yeah, I I was in that room and I'm like, I know this room, I've
used this cover before. But then you exit in a different
way and then you continue the mission and it's but like, so I
noticed that. But like, is an average Destiny
two player going to notice that? Not just playing in 2025, no,

(30:44):
right. That's you're right.
I totally agree with you. And also like I.
Used to feel that way but like no.
I guarantee 90% of players that have been playing as long as
some of us have, Yeah, they never played the rare work
campaign. Now, you could argue maybe it's
because they didn't have a chance to, but whatever.
Most people they're playing now apparently didn't start playing
until Beyond Light. Yeah.
So using that concept means thatyou never had the opportunity to

(31:08):
to play this whole stuff. Can I ask you, when you go into
like let's say Walmart, right, is the, is the layout the same
in each Walmart store? Pretty much like you went from
like one side, you got like the checkouts on one side.
And it's like pretty much, pretty much, yeah.
If you have a pre established culture, like no matter where in
the world, you're going to have the same sort of layout.

(31:29):
So it's almost like expected that, you know, the Cabal are
going to have the same sort of hallway in the same hangar
layout on many of their different ships and buildings
and. All that, I think that's
absolutely valid. The amount of time people walk
into a pyramid and it looks the fucking same right every time we
walk into a ziggurat. Like, why would I expect it to
be? It's like the main sort of hull

(31:50):
of it to be any different, you know?
I mean, I, I think that I understand, you know, this has
been an ongoing complaint about Bungie for a really long time is
re utilizing assets and how thatfeels lazy.
But I feel like they're way more, they're way worse things
to complain about than that. I feel like it's like it's

(32:11):
pretty minor. It doesn't personally doesn't
bother me. I feel like there's other things
that bother me a lot more than that.
So yeah. No, definitely agree.
And then his last few dot pointswere bum, bum.
What I click off of it. The moment to moment action was
pretty good in the missions ad density was spot on, yes,

(32:33):
especially for like I guess how Opie was sort of feeling at the
moment. And yeah, all the abilities we
got. That's what I've been sort of
asking for for so long is just throw hordes and hordes at me,
you know? Yeah, Blast.
It's a solid personal favorite is the uncivil disclosure, as
we've said. Yes, uncivil discourse.

(32:55):
Ran campaign through on Titan, first changes the shield.
Super great, yes. I need to do an Ursa's build.
My God my my friend. My friend was using it and the
orb Gen. and then apparently andhe was telling me that that you
can do it with a single shield throw you can do like 900 K
damage. With like, it's really high,

(33:16):
yeah. You can.
Get two of those. Right now you.
Can get two of those, and. That's.
Yeah, almost, almost. I think 2 1/2 like like
superchargers for like, yeah, for that pretty much.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's fantastic.
So that I I ran in on that straight away and then when I

(33:39):
got the lightsaber I switched tomy my sword masters guard the
sorry, what is it? Are you doing did you do like
this? This strand?
Oh, that's that's the. One no, no, no the this.
Week with those strands like unkillable.
Strongholds. That's it.
Yeah, yeah. I just literally run.
I'm like fuck, this is boring, you know, just swinging my sword

(33:59):
around. But I'm like, I just couldn't
stop reflecting like all over. It's fun.
I'm like Strongholds, slice it or something.
I was doing it for about 3 hoursstraight just with like
deflecting everything. I'm like.
I can't stop doing it. So many Titans like you Titans
went from punching everything tojust blocking.
Yeah, everything, yeah. The deflect is really fun too.

(34:22):
It really is very, very. And there's there's bits in it
that like there's seasonal artifact mods that will stop you
from holding it constantly, right.
So if you deflect after like guard after a certain thing or
swipe, swipe guard or whatever it is.
So there's an incentive to do, to play better, not just like,

(34:44):
yeah, they doing it all. The time they want you to use
the lightsaber, they you can tell in the artifact they've
included a ton of sword sword artifact mods.
So like it's, it's absolutely like lightsaber heavy.
Are there any other builds you guys are really enjoying?
Running seen a lot of people obviously using Strand and
Banner of War. Yes, yes.

(35:05):
So there's there's people doing that and then I've just seen
I've been using it, but I've seen people using shadow grenade
on void lock. OK.
Oh yeah, I think I saw it and. It's an 8 or scatter.
That one, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Sorry, I'm talking. To you now, yeah.
Sorry that was so fun but it looks crazy.
Everything goes. Yeah.

(35:26):
The only one I've been using themost, well one of them was I've
been running a invis perma invishunter build.
Once you once you unlock which if you haven't if you're
listening you should definitely pick up from the cantina.
I think they're still selling itby a Noor.
Or Noor. Or Noor or Noor on the table.

(35:48):
There's a vendor that sells a impact core only for 4000
credits, which is one of those exotic mods, but it increases
well with with your melees. Anytime you melee a target it
will then apply elemental verb that matches your super.
So since I'm running an envoyed hunter, anytime I hit a target

(36:10):
they are instantly weakened. Then when they are killed,
whether I killed it or not, I goinvisible because of stylus
executioner. Also because of that, when I go
invisible I then have trapper onthe prowl that marks the target
near me and they die. I love that.

(36:31):
So on and so. On That's so great.
It's so nice. So how is how does the void
hunter damage feel? I adore it.
Is it, is it good? Are you going to bring that into
the dungeon? What do you what do you bring
into the dungeon? I probably am going to just take
this into the dungeon, but I'm probably going to bring a golden

(36:53):
gun bill just in case. Just in case.
Oh, have you, have you tested the Golden Gun?
How does it feel? I've used it for like 2 campaign
missions and then I was mad thatthey were shooting me so I went
back to being permanent. I liked it better when I was
invisible. So I don't know if it's going to
be meta, but it's just been so sad for me just being in this

(37:15):
24/7. That's amazing, I I'm just
picturing you running like so many people through the new
dungeon using that build. I have, Yep, yeah, I've been,
I've been just running it all week and I already have like
3000 kills on the lights. They break like it's going
through, like it's. Swipe.
Of course. Of course.
Oh my goodness, that's great. Dan also said that he got

(37:38):
snagged on fire or ice, couldn'tfigure out the ball generation
mechanic at 1:00 AM Yeah, so I Iwas also because I got to it
quite early, but it was still like late for me and Sherpa
mine, who was playing with in the background.
He's trying to catch up. He was getting the brunt of my
frustration. I'm like, hell, isn't this
bloody drop in like what's goingon?

(37:59):
I like left the thing like twicethinking was like a glitch or
whatever and and then I came back and I was like, oh, so I
got to balance that as well. You know, so and I know till he
said he went still went 100% on it, but it's like it was you
have to kill the like cabal guy and then go and kill the taken

(38:19):
guy to get like dark, dark nights.
Yeah, but then if you kill the same one, it gives you the
light, so and it's doing that. And then so you got to balance
that. And then you've also then got to
balance 2 balls and one in the one light, 2 balls and the other
light, 2 balls in the dark light, 2 ball.
Well, you could do 2, two light,2 light, 2 light, 2 light.

(38:42):
That's what I normally do. Yeah, Yeah.
Or you can do it the other way, just like just like 2 all the
way around and sort of go from there.
But yeah, obviously 1:00 AM in the morning trying to do that.
It wasn't it wasn't great. So I get that from Dan.
Lightsaber is goofy strong with strongholds.
Nothing can touch you. That is 100% correct.
When you're sort of just playing, you know, standard, you

(39:03):
know, to play. When I was starting to do harder
difficulty stuff, I did learn mylesson very quickly, right.
So it's obviously great to get out of trouble, but you cannot
rely on it. So even in harder content,
you're still going to get your, you know, your kneecaps pushed
in. So which is which is good.
I do like that second play through on nothing Manacles

(39:26):
warlock in progress so he'll probably be running that this
week. No strikes with edge of fate and
Renegades is felt. Feel like the mid season updates
would be a perfect place for a couple additional strike style
missions. And lastly, looking forward to
Oath of Renegades create a campaign event kicking off this
week, which myself and Dan are playing and we'll sort of go

(39:49):
through more of that at the end of the show.
I don't know, you guys aren't taking part in that.
I didn't see your names. No, I'm not taking.
Part No. Have you heard of it at all yet?
Or anyone talking about it. Not really.
No. OK, cool.
I'll go through that at the end.And that means we can sort of go
through some of the stuff that'sbeen released this week and
maybe some of the news, and then, yeah, we can leave that to

(40:11):
last. But yeah, so obviously there was
a TWID sort of last week. And inside the Twid, they also
announced there's the cosplay Cosmetrome.
Either of you like to sort of read through that?
And do you know more about it than I?
No, I don't. Know anything about the
cosmetrome? Sorry.
Bear with me. Two seconds.
So with that, there's like a cosplay event sort of that

(40:36):
happening in Destiny. So I'll start off in the Twitter
here. So amazing, complete cosplayers
from around the world have once again stunned us with their
takes on Destiny 2 characters old and new.
This week we unveiled our first four cosplays.
Drifter by little blonde goth Eris Morn by Where is Danielle
or no I'm a ha by on Hira. I'm definitely saying that

(41:00):
wrong. And the Premier Loom by Solomon
Tyser next week will show off even more.
For more information and pictures and above cosplays as a
blog post there definitely go check out those.
Those are absolutely fucking spot on and a lot of work and a
lot of commitment has gone into every single one of those.
They're just so bloody cool. So they'll show off more of the

(41:23):
sort of coming Twids with that going forward.
And then ultimately we did get adev insight blog for Lawless
Frontier to basically go through.
So if you aren't 100%, you know on how all that works in game,
just need some sort of pointers or see what is going behind the

(41:46):
scenes for that. You can go and read that.
Daniel will put the links for those in the podcast, sort of
show notes and everything when he posts those out.
And then, yeah, we can go onto the Twid with either of you like
to sort of walk us through or shall I?
I can walk us through. Yeah, go for it.

(42:06):
You have a much calmer voice than I do.
I mean, from what I read, the bigger things that they talked
about, obviously this weekend wethis coming up weekend, we have
the Equilibrium Dungeon race. I don't know if anyone else is
planning on participating. I would have if I had more time
or a team sort of to, you know, commit.

(42:28):
I mean, not even just like obviously I know like some of us
plan on at least doing it at launch, but I know there's a lot
of people who might just be interested in just diving in
sometime within the 48 hours. Once it's complete, I'll
definitely start take like jumping in with like community
members and sort of start right now.
I'm sure you guys will too. Yeah, my plan is to watch it cuz

(42:51):
I think it's gonna be really funto watch.
Watch my friends race and then and then I have a couple like
cracked gamer friends that once they're done, they're like,
we're gonna get you a contest clear so.
Hell's yeah. Oh yeah.
So hopefully I can get a contestclear.
I love playing contest. It's so fun.
It's so fun. Like playing at that level of
difficulty. So it's just a treat like

(43:13):
anytime there's a new dungeon oror raid.
And I've loved contest dungeon from the minute they released
it. Like it was such a great idea on
Bungie's part adding contest to dungeons because they didn't
used, didn't used to be an eventand now everyone it's like it
was a great way to kind of mitigate like lack in resources.

(43:35):
Yeah, with, with basically just adding something super simple
and making it an event and it like it's it, it's a showpiece.
It's so fun. It's really exciting.
I'm like, I'm, I'm I'm just so excited to watch people.
It's going to be great. Yeah, if you plan on at least
checking it out once again, EvanF 1997 and CB Gray are doing

(43:57):
their raid zone, which I guess is still called Raid zone
instead of dungeon zone, but Raid zone on their Twist channel
by Bungie. If you want to catch up and
watch all of the stream that they'll be having at one time to
see who's going to take World's first, their Twist channels can
be where you want to go. I believe it's also on the
Bungee stream as well. Yeah, from what I know, this is

(44:19):
the first time that they are also doing something for French
viewers. So there's like a Gray zone.
I don't know if they're calling you a ray zone, but there's also
a French based World's first Dungeon Race Twitch channel on
the channels merge 1M E, RJ1 andTama under score Usagis.

(44:40):
Their channels would be doing itin French, so this is something
really cool. That's epic.
Because our community is not just English speaking, so the
fact that they're expanding thatto other languages is always
going to be a good thing. I do plan on doing the dungeon
riding reset, just trying to getas good of a placement as
possible, and then I'm probably just going to be doing as many

(45:03):
helps of it as I can to get folks their emblems.
Dan on his void hunter help everybody out. 28 hour stream
incoming. At least I know where I'm going
if I want to. Contest.
You know what? No, I am.
I'm here for it. So like, please take care of
yourself, OK? This is.
Going I'll take care of myself Friday.

(45:26):
You make sure you get yourself some healthy snacks, make sure
you you're hydrated. One thing I learned about rating
is healthy snacks are key. I remember doing DSC and I ended
up bringing a foot long sub sandwich.
Worst decision of my life because I was I was torn 19

(45:48):
hours in. Yeah, I always do.
This is the worst decision ever.Yeah, I've done that before.
I always do like chicken and rice sort of meals throughout
those whenever I do commit And then just like bland, like
substantial sort of snacks sort of get through.
So now every time is is I get I already went to shopping this

(46:11):
weekend for it but like I had like a bunch of water.
I stuck my mini favorite water and then I have a bunch of
fruits. My go to are blueberries,
pineapples and Peaches. So I have those all right and
then cashews. I know they're not the
healthiest but I really like cashews so I don't get.
Those nuts of gratios, yeah. Nuts.
Not all. Some are better than that.

(46:31):
Nuts, that's. Great cashews and pistachios.
I got those and pepperoni. It's really good to snack on.
Oh yeah, and eat the salt. Yeah.
And when I yeah. And when I used to be on a keto,
it was like a very, really quicksnack to have.
So that and then cheese and thenthat's all I eat until I'm like

(46:52):
until I wake up. So I got I got something
throughout the day. Oh, and yogurt, but also also
don't also sleep. Sleep and then also walk walk
walk around breaks too. I do walk.
Have you met Daniel? I do walk this.
Is OK good cuz that's. I do also have a standing desk
now so whenever like whenever I miss the fan I just stand up for

(47:14):
10-15 minutes. So now I have that so it's not
as bad as a few years ago. Taking breaks, make sure you're
getting some sleep, make sure you're hydrated and eating.
And this goes out to everybody cuz I know there's people who
listen to this or who are in chat right now.
Take care of yourselves. Please be healthy, but the 40
you. Have 48 hours.

(47:35):
With that exactly, exactly. It's so much more healthy than
the 24 hour races used to be. I don't miss the 24 hours, I
used to miss it, but the 48 hours is just so much better so.
Much better. The community was really mad
initially, remember. Yeah, yeah.

(47:55):
It's like was. The first was the first 48 hours
because there was some technicalissues.
It was because of VAST. End and then and then and then
and then they were like, Oh well, this actually might be
just the format we're. Going to make sense.
Yeah, let's. Do it.
That was a Saturday launch, wasn't it?
And then I remember like. Saturday like.
Cancel my meetings on the Mondaybecause I was still running it
early. Oh, we're still going.

(48:15):
My wife is so mad at me. I've never liked maybe that
wasn't so healthy. No, don't piss off loved ones
with an extension guys. Oh, the plight of the game.
Oh, I mean that's, that's when they, that's when they extended
it. But even then they were like
people were like, I'm I'm losingsleep.
I'm not slept. I'm, I'm delirious.
Like at least now you can like get your 8 hours and come back

(48:38):
refresh. I mean, is it though, in some,
in some cases, And this is completely up to those people.
It's on their responsibility. But it's like these people now
like they couldn't get it done the 24 hours.
So now they like extend it on. They'll still not get it done in
the 48 hours, but they will not look after themselves and they
will not sleep the entire time. I know so many.
People who still. Still do that like.

(48:59):
Yeah, well, I, I feel like from what I've noticed over the
years, the 48 hours gives peoplemore time to figure out
strengths if nothing else. The problem with 24 hours
sometimes was is, is 24 hours isn't sometimes enough time for

(49:20):
someone to figure out, oh, if you do this, you get a free 10
seconds extra damage or you can make enemies not spawn or
something. Or hey, did you know this random
exact that no one uses is like really good on this boss?
You know? So like I, it's, it's kind of
like how back then, like people used to, I think it happened

(49:42):
with, yeah, with Deep Stone Crip, when Deep Stone Crip was
like really difficult for like those first 12 hours and people
were stuck on a tracks. And then a team on normal found
out that the chainsaw gun, the chainsaw sword Lament, lament,
lament was like really good. Everyone was like, OK, hold on,

(50:04):
let's go do this mission for 1520 minutes, then come back and
do this. So it's like, but you had people
mad. They were like, how dare you
leave this and go get that weapon, you know, how dare you?
But the weapon didn't unlock until someone did what else
first, you know, that's when themission unlocked.
I don't mind it because whateverit takes, as long as you're not

(50:25):
cheating for more people to complete it.
You still had to actually complete it, you know, but there
obviously there are people who you know, aren't going to
complete it, but maybe the extra48 hours gives them more time to
get further into the encounters or further into the Raider
dungeon. So I, I think the, the the

(50:45):
community isn't as against it anymore.
No, I think that people have really gone on.
Board. Actually a lot a lot of the
changes that they've made, including like the overlays now
and hiding and all like all thislike it's it feels like every
everything that they do for the contest, raising dungeons like
it's it may meet an initial resistance, but the community is

(51:08):
very like positive response positively later.
So yeah, but yeah, it's going tobe fun.
Saturday new dungeon contest. It's going to be great.
So if you want to get your dungeon completed or you just
want to watch it, feel free to check out the raid zone or come
by a lot of different streams. They'll probably be at least

(51:29):
running it or trying to assist people in getting a clear.
Twitch.tv 4 slash epic Dan 22 ifyou want your clear he's going
to. Be on a void hunter.
It's I do. Plan on doing.
My best to help people just likealways.
That's all I will say. There's actually that's kind of
the big news from what the. Yeah, there's not a whole lot in

(51:52):
this twid. Yeah, they talk about bunch of
wars cosplay guard tests there. If you like shaders or the
shader for connecting your game to discord.
I think you only have to play for like 1530 minutes.
You can get a ink drawn shader for just you for just I guess.

(52:14):
I've never done a disc request but I guess you just boot up the
game while discord. Has.
Clicked it. Yeah, it's just as long as you
have your disc. Reward I need to do is accept
the. Questions.
Yeah. And then it will give you it'll
give you a code redirect you to bungee rewards.
And then you just put the code into there, right?
And that's that's legit. So yeah, that's that's all you
have to do. I'm putting it in chat if you

(52:35):
guys want to click it now if youwant to add, add the quest.
They have a bunch of Renegades based known issues.
The biggest ones are some peopleare getting bugged like we
talked about earlier with like dialogue.
Obviously they are addressing that.
There are some issues with Lawless Frontier.
For example, invaders will not be sent back to their ready room

(52:57):
if they are traveling quickly orstop moving on a vehicle as the
as the final time out occurs. This can prevent them from
receiving rewards. Invaders who die as they are
getting teleported back, they experience rapid teleport visual
effects and in rare cases, invaders who die while they're

(53:20):
getting teleported away or not brought to the ready room after
they respawn and blocking their ability to claim rewards.
At least from what I read, thoseare ones that I thought were the
most interesting because those are going to stop people from
getting their rewards. So just to be mindful of that,
some anxiety missions currently right now are not dropping their
weapons. They are at least looking at

(53:40):
that. So hopefully if you are doing
these missions, you are trying to get the exotic, it's not
dropping. That's why.
So hopefully they can fix that soon.
And obviously some really dumb art, but I really like Twig Twob
around the around the dungeon this weekend.

(54:08):
Is there, they haven't said anything obviously that will
come out this sort of following week about any weapons or
aspects or anything like that ofdisabled that usually comes out
this Thursday or the day before, right?
Well, we'll know Thursday at thelatest, Yeah.
I wouldn't be surprised if they delayed until Friday, but I I
mean, I'm going to imagine this upcoming tweet is going to be

(54:31):
just for the dungeon. Yeah.
When they've done raids on like a a Friday drop, they've
sometimes dropped it like right before the raid sort of goes
live. They did do that last minute,
yeah. So cool.
That's, that's fair. Obviously a smaller sort of
tweet this week. Been through everything else.

(54:52):
Yeah. So I guess with that, if anyone
has any sort of last minute sortof community questions, we can
start going through those, but we can go through the ones that
are already here. Please put them in chat.
For non Destiny question. What's your favorite holiday
tradition from landfill? Obviously we now in December
it's the 8th. So we are what's that 13?

(55:17):
I can't do math 2017 days away. Or.
Holiday season? My guess, yeah.
I I well I did a cookie making stream yesterday.
Oh. Did you?
How'd that go? That's one of my favorite
traditions. Well, you said about that, I
missed it. Yeah, no, I I, I mean, I thought
it'd be fun to make cookies and raffle them off.

(55:40):
I actually send them to people domestically in the US Listen,
they don't they don't travel very far, OK?
Like, I don't want them to be bad.
You can make your own. Cookies.
I'll pay for the nitrous ice right to like, go in the phone
boxes. I've seen that.
Shit, I once overnighted cookiesto Canada.
It was $80. I'm sure they were.

(56:03):
Worth My cookies are not worth $80.
Sure, they were worth it. That was one time the.
Amount of love that would go into them.
Oh God, it's mostly dog hair. They say love is dog hair.
I might just like the tiddly real quick.
Let me see. Let me is it, is it $80?
Worth It's like what the Yeah. Let me it's going to one way.

(56:23):
So, yeah, so I have four boxes of cookies that are getting
shipped out. I had one raffle winner and then
I owe cookies from like a while ago.
I do cookies for charity, charity incentives for like
fundraisers and stuff. So I have like a few that I owe
out, Yeah. And are you still doing your
charity stuff that you have beendoing the last couple weeks?
Yes, yes, I brought it up yesterday.
We raised $2800 for the pasta during the Twitch the Twitch

(56:49):
charity event Together for Good and I will be planning another
another like single day to kind of augment that.
Coming up soon or are you done for now like for for?
The I'm done for now. Usually I do that somewhere
around New Year's. OK, fantastic.
That's going to be Yeah. So hope I haven't scheduled the
date for that, but we're going to do, we're going to do that.

(57:11):
But I do love, I do love baking cookies.
I also love eating other people's baked goods.
Like my mom always makes lots ofcookies for for Christmas.
And nut butter balls are my favorite.
They're delicious. That's amazing.
I think it's just like growing up for me, it was like always
like putting decorations up. But as I've gotten older and
grumpy, I've always said to my wife, I'm like, not until the

(57:33):
first weekend of December, right?
We're not being those people that put it up like in November,
right at any sort of. Date.
Mine have been up since mid November.
I was going to say 1 mid November.
Yeah, you got to go. You got to.
Go. You got to get at least a month
out of it. Yeah, come on, It's like.
So much you keep them up until my middle, middle of January
because then you got to go back to no.
No, no, then you're just making your tree into like a freaking,

(57:53):
I mean, oh, I have a Valentine'sDay tree.
Oh, wait, it's a Halloween tree.Now.
I put up the skeleton lights like, no, no, no, no, no, no,
you know, like, I mean. You're leaving your Christmas
lights up until Halloween. There's an issue.
New Year's Day. Well, no, you don't.
You leave the tree up and then decorate it differently
seasonally, and then you never have to take the tree down.
You can just leave it up all year long. 4th of July tree.

(58:18):
Valentine's Day tree Just turn the lights I.
Think put heart lights up on it.I'll be adorable, you know,
super cute, you know, OK. But but to be fair, I feel like
like Christmas lights. There's a reason that so many
different cultures have celebrations of light this time
of year when there is so much darkness, right?
The days are very, very short. It's dark all the time.
For me. It's just a little bit of joy

(58:40):
and optimism and light. Like, it's literally nice to
just have a little extra light in the house when you're walking
around and it's pitch blacks andobviously.
I've never experienced that until coming over this way, so
get. Opposite in.
Australia And then we have summer, the sun up until 9:30,
no. Wonder you're not addicted to
decorating early because you didn't have to deal with it
before? Exactly.

(59:00):
So you would have been decorating in July.
That's what he does. Yeah, we literally say Christmas
in July. We say Christmas in July.
Is that where Christmas in July comes from?
Yeah, because it's the other side of the world, like freaking
Christmas. Like there's Christmas in July
sales, right? That happened in like stores, or
at least used to. But no, 100% get that.

(59:21):
And it's nice to have all that up.
And I've just put it in our chat.
I took my son to his great auntie.
Oh my goodness. Baked cookies there.
So you'd be. Proud.
That is so cute. Wow, look at that.
But no, just the holiday stuff is just like, I'd love to
obviously bring sort of any sortof traditions from Oz over to
here. And like I cook like a big

(59:42):
Australian sort of Christmas hamon the bone, which they don't
really do here. They do more like roast sort of
dinners and all that. So introducing that into like
everyone else's sort of already. You're bringing your traditions
over. Yeah, yeah.
As much as I, yeah, white guy, Ican say yeah.
What about you, Epic Dan 22? I think it's got to be the

(01:00:04):
lights, yeah. Yeah.
Is there something even in my olden age, my grumpy age, where
I'm like, oh, Christmas, Bah humbug.
So it's just something childlikefor me about driving or going
anywhere and just seeing Christmas lights and seeing the

(01:00:26):
the fake Santa Claus and seeing the reindeer.
I don't know. I just, I just something about
that I just always really like. So I guess it's not a tradition
of what I do myself. It's just being in the
environment for at least a couple of weeks of some form of
what feels like positive, positive atmosphere, like

(01:00:48):
everyone in these. People coming together, yeah.
Especially in a in a world wherelike there's so much
divisiveness, everyone seems to like just put it aside for a
little bit and prioritize 2 things.
Christmas Day capitalism. But I like the other part.

(01:01:08):
You know, you're like, I like, Ilike the whimsical decorating.
Not everyone pushing themselves over for like, I mean a 10%.
Off presents I like I do. I like presents too.
Presents are great. I like making my Christmas wish
list right now and I actually, but I'm more than like getting
presents. I love giving presents.

(01:01:28):
So I shop for people all year long.
Like anytime me and my husband take a trip, I'll buy little
presents for people from like different places we go.
And then if I see something, especially this thing I love, my
sister is going to love it because we have basically twins.
We're not, but like, we're basically like exactly the same
things. So whenever I find something

(01:01:49):
that I like, love and I'm addicted to, I will buy the same
thing for her. And then when I and then when I,
when I go to see her for the holidays, because she lives in
Denver, we don't live near each other anymore.
I will always bring that thing that I love and use it in front
of her to see if she likes it and notices and then I give it.
To her and then you have it. Oh, that's so good.

(01:02:11):
It's a. Tradition and so she started
doing that to me too like she'lllike bring something that she
loves and like use it or wear itor whatever and see if I notice
it's like it's. Lovely.
That's lovely. Anyway, I love giving presents.
Phil asks what's the number one pick for that?
This will be disabled list for the dungeon this.

(01:02:33):
Weekend. I mean, Phil put a Kappa, but I
feel like we could actually answer this question.
There's probably some. There's probably the same
outliers that they probably disabled.
Yeah, like any sort of aspects that are making scatter grenade
broken at the moment, like. Oh, do you think that that one's
a little over to you, right? Now, yeah, I think it could.

(01:02:54):
Be would they disable the lightsaber?
I I can't, they can't disable the light Saber.
They I I yeah, they can't disable it.
It's like literally like the iconic piece for the DLC.
You know that. Would be kind of hilarious.
They might it'll. Be funny, but I don't.
I don't. I just don't think it's broken
enough to merit that either. Have they ever disabled

(01:03:14):
something I guess? They can do it.
With the with the content. Oh, maybe.
I don't know. I'd have to go deep in my brain.
The artifact mod that gives Emmamight go.
I haven't even toyed with that. I can see them disabling
artifacts because they've done that previously.
Yeah, that. I mean, that's that could be

(01:03:35):
fair. Yeah.
Get wrecked. Bounty preppers doesn't matter
anymore. There will always be like one
thing that pops up. We're like, why the fuck did
they like disable that? I don't know.
OK, that's good. Yeah, strongholds maybe.
Strongholds maybe like we just. Strongholds hierarchy of needs
could be well yeah I know hierarchy of needs with like
both stuff is like really strong, no?

(01:03:56):
It, it always, it always kind offeels like too that the ban, the
ban list is also specifically applicable to the dungeon
bosses, right? So, you know, like if there's
one particular boss where there's something that's really
broken against that boss, then they'll specifically disable
that. And so like there's, there's
information that we don't have to, to be able to like, you

(01:04:19):
know, to know exactly about. You know, go to a dungeon and be
like, man, this would have been so much easier with that this
weapon. Yeah.
Exactly right. So, yeah, that's a great
question, though. I, I, I always find it so funny.
I mean, funny, not funny in a haha way, but funny and kind of
like, oh, that sucks the kind ofway.
But like when people do all of these bills and all this

(01:04:39):
preparation and they're like, I have my Golden Gun hunter ready
to go. I'm going to do big damage
against the box in the in the contest dungeon.
And they're like, yeah, you're, you're, you're getting disabled.
Like we're disabling. You're exotic, you know, And I'd
be like, what? None for you.
This time practicing, you're taking my toy away right

(01:05:02):
beforehand. I'm so I'm.
Pretty sure they actually did that.
Disabled. Yeah.
They did that with the Final Shape raid.
Final Shape raid and they took away the.
I'm poking fun, but I get it. I'm like yeah, yeah, yeah.
I actually do feel for people who like are like because I I'm
I'm like a 1 trick loadout desert usually like the people

(01:05:22):
who are running like contest dungeons are usually like
excellent at every build that they do, but it does it does.
Yeah. Yeah, it does suck.
If you have something you've been practicing and really
geared up for and like, did you're like doing all these epic
raids because you want the epic armor set?
And then they're like, no. I always wait like I don't even

(01:05:45):
build for the dungeon or the rays until I see a list but I
don't want to like waste time like just tell me that so I can
then prep. Yeah, exactly right.
And then we've got a question from, yeah, the Jag Master.
Jag Masters question, does the raid races need to be split
since console doesn't have a disadvantage?

(01:06:09):
Dan, you might be best. 2 Consoles have a disadvantage.
Well. I think you could say the data
indicates because console console teams don't typically
place right or. If they do, it's very minor.
It's weird because I've gone back and forth is do OK this is
going to sign elitist our. The Preface.

(01:06:31):
Yes, I'm just I'm this is no shade to anyone on the console.
Are the best players limited or are all the best players
generally playing on PC nowadays?
Are console players getting at adisadvantage or are all the
players who have any any real chance placing?

(01:06:59):
Are all of them just on PC now? I didn't ask that player first.
Not the console player bad because there's some fantastic
console players. It's just, it's from what I've
noticed, even some of the blondes who used to be on
console, all of them have just moved to PC and some of them

(01:07:19):
still play on a controller. Yeah, I guess also in this in
this way, it's not now that the game is fully cross play as
well. You have console players mixed
in with PC players as well. So it's not PC versus console as
much anymore. I've definitely seen only
console teams sort of run it. You'll definitely see a lot of

(01:07:43):
PC only teams sort of running it, but it's not so much anymore
that Oh yeah, it's US versus them, them versus US, yeah.
I, I, I just, I think that beingon APC is, is a significant
advantage in a, in a, in a, a contest race.
Do I, do I do, I feel like that should that means that console

(01:08:03):
players shouldn't be allowed to compete with PC players.
I don't know if I don't know if I feel that way because I I feel
like I. Don't know like what would be
the difference though. That's what I.
Well, that's, that's what I'm saying.
Like I, I just don't think, I don't know if that would be fair
to console people to say, Hey, you can't play with your PC
friends because you're at a disadvantage, you know, but I

(01:08:26):
definitely think I, I definitelythink you've identified like a,
a pain point. I think that the game, if
you're, if you're doing highly optimized min maxing gameplay at
a contest level, like and you'redoing loadout swaps, you're
going into menus and everyone knows if you're on a console, it
takes like 800 years to go into a menu and do a swap.

(01:08:46):
So are you going to be disadvantaged?
I mean, not like hugely, but if you're talking about like, you
know, adjustments that like the differentiation between it like
a top, a placement team and a good team, those seconds matter
like that damage matters, like all of that matters.
Like it adds up. So I, I don't know if I would

(01:09:07):
separate it, but I, I definitelythink you're it, it, it does
underlie an issue, you know? Upon obviously discussing that,
I can definitely see how there'sa larger ratio of, you know,
successful console players getting, you know, higher up on
the sort of completion on on contest mode.
So yeah, it it, I think. It also depends on sorry to

(01:09:31):
interrupt. I think it depends on what,
what, what kind of encounters the rate of the dungeon has.
Because if it's a really puzzle heavy, like, you know, like
dungeon or raid, then maybe a console team wouldn't be at a
disadvantage because that mechanic's execution isn't going
to matter as much, right? Because that the differentiation
between APC player and a consoleplayer is, is mechanic's

(01:09:54):
execution. I would say personally, because
if you're, but if you have like a really brilliant console
player who may suffer a little with the mechanic's execution,
but maybe like a like the most amazing puzzle solver in the
history of the world. And then they get through like
vault in, you know, in Last Wishor they get through, you know,
the puzzle encounter in kind of Salvation's Edge.

(01:10:17):
Like if they their Verity, like their Verity first try, like
they're going to win. Yeah, exactly.
Even if you know, because it won't matter at that point,
right? But I I do think that a lot of
the Raising Dungeons more recently have absolutely been
execution focused and the teams that have excelled have been the
best team speed runners, people who are excellent at mechanics
execution. Yeah, exactly right.
No, I I agree on both, both fronts.

(01:10:39):
So sorry, interrupted. No, no, of course.
Yeah, you got to. Be I've heard, I've heard this
question a lot. I've just, I guess I never think
of it that way. It's just always been
interesting. I'm like, well, if I want to be,
it's not that I want to be a good player.
I have to be the PC. It's just like you see a lot of

(01:11:01):
the people that are somewhat skilled or very skilled, they're
just all on the PC. I would I would probably gamble
a decent amount that if they those same players are playing
on console, they would still be equally as good.
Yeah, you know. Yeah, they.
Wouldn't like they wouldn't. Or like marginally like, you
know, just at a disadvantage from how they would usually be

(01:11:23):
playing, right? There's obviously that like,
but. Saul's got 5 worlds first.
He probably still has five worlds first if he was on
console. You know, yeah, yeah, he's still
an excellent player. So.
So I guess the question then becomes is because people in
chat are saying well, the, the the PC, the the gap between PC
and consoles for the the menus has decreased because the
improvement in S S cars and textchat.

(01:11:45):
So that I didn't know that. PS-5 player is like it's.
So. Milliseconds.
So I guess the question then becomes, is it because PC
players have a mechanical advantage over console players
or is it just because all of thetalented players have mostly
swapped to PC like? I've always felt it's just

(01:12:06):
because all of the most talentedplayers are on PCI.
Feel like it might be a different discussion if you are.
Obsessed with the man playing PC.
Have swapped. Right.
And like you've got, you know, instead of just sat on a couch
or sat in like a sort of armchair or whatever sort of
playing. And also I would like to say

(01:12:26):
having your game on, playing on Wi-Fi is going to be a different
experience than playing with a hard way connection as well.
So when you're thinking about that more casual sort of set up,
I'm not saying that console players are going to be casual
players, but there's a larger ratio of players that will be
sort of more casual sort of coming into it.
Whereas when you're on PC, you've invested sort of more.

(01:12:48):
Yeah, on a ratio, you've invested more into it. 100% and
I definitely think that peace, like if you're talking about
elite competitive gaming, PC is elite competitive gaming period.
Like across. Across like any game, mostly.
A lot of games now, yeah. Yeah, absolutely.
And a lot of those players stillare on controller.
So like, I mean, I don't I don'tsee a world where they need to

(01:13:12):
split the player base. Yeah, split like leaderboards.
Maybe if we were still if PC wasstill so vastly ahead, maybe.
But that gap is so swan now. Yeah, definitely.
Cool, cool. All right.
Is there anything you guys have coming up this week that you

(01:13:34):
would like to sort of plug or you know coming up in the near
future so to go over? No, go ahead and talk about your
event thing. Cool, yes.
So we've been given the green light finally to sort of talk
about it. So both myself and Danfinity are
taking part in it and that's it will be two days a week for the
next two weeks and then we'll start back up in January and

(01:13:55):
it's called Oath of the Renegades.
Now it is a creator LED event that will have in game effects
nothing to do law wise, nothing to do that will take over the
game or anything. But it is a whole create a LED
thing that there's actually a leaderboard sort of done.
So you go up, you sign sign intobungee.net on this like external

(01:14:19):
thing. You will click, click up, pledge
your allegiance and you can change every week as well.
So you can pledge your allegiance to any of the
factions. So that's the the Reformation,
the pikers or the what's the other one?
I've completely what's the otherfaction totality.

(01:14:41):
Totality, yes, so you see all ofthat and you'll choose that and
you also choose your Lieutenant for your squadron.
So you know your favorite creator that has either referred
you and then there's going to besort of giveaways sort of done,
you know, game codes, emblem codes, all sorts of stuff.
And there will be rewards for the factions that are also doing
the best week on week and they are running off of acts.

(01:15:05):
So you'll be able to sort of go and, and sign up to all that.
Now it doesn't just stop there. You have to jump in and you have
to complete tasks and that is signed in with your bungee
account. So that is updated on the daily,
your task progress and the entire factions, whoever's like
ahead in the in the factions. So that goes like goes live

(01:15:26):
tomorrow. Sign up and then, you know,
start doing your task and that progress starts going towards
your faction to your creator that you signed up on and then
it all goes from there. And that ends late January when
everyone starts to kick off for Bungee Foundation as well.
So it literally going from one big creative thing into like
another big thing over the next two months.

(01:15:48):
So yeah, tune into both myself and Dan this week.
Come on. Completely two different
factions. I'm on the pikers, so if you
like my funny mug, come join up with me.
Obviously you all love Dan Finity, so do go and check out
his link as well and see what we're both up to this week for
that. It's going to be a lot of fun.
There hasn't been an event like this yet.

(01:16:11):
Yeah, it's going to be really good.
Awesome. Yeah, that's what I've got
coming up this week. And then, yeah, all good to go.
Yeah. No, I can't think of anything
else sort of finish off with. And yeah, I think, you know,
it's been a little bit darting all around the place, me trying
to sail the ship in high winds. But yeah, thank you so much for

(01:16:33):
bearing with me as we got all that going.
Awesome. Now I do have this sort of set
up so Dan can sort of still be here as we sort of finish up.
Any last minute words from either of you?
So, Bona, where can we find you?Oh, that's it, Yes.

(01:16:53):
I have no idea what I'm doing. Yeah, so you can find me
Bonafide Hero on Twitch mostly Monday through to Wednesday.
I'm trying to do better other times than other days.
And also pretty much anyway on socials except for Twitter with
the same name. You see those in the show notes
tiddly? Where are you at?
Oh my gosh. Thanks.
Thank you for asking. You can find me twitch.tv/italy

(01:17:15):
Monday through Friday, 9:00 central.
I'm going to be playing more Renegades this week.
I'm very excited. It should be a lot of fun.
What about you, Epic Dan 22? Where can we find you?
You can. Find me at twitch.tv/epic Dan 22
YouTube everyday in 22, TikTok everyday in 22.
If you Google everyday in 22 youwill find me almost everywhere.

(01:17:37):
Yep, all right. Awesome.
Great job substitute. Thank you.
Thank you, Budget Dan is what they call me.
Budget. Dan, Yeah.
You know, Dan's still here in spirit.
He's still here to see us out. So, you know, as per usual,
thank you so much for tuning in and and I hope you find what
you're grinding for. Recording.

(01:17:58):
Take care guys, have a great week and TuneIn to Renegades.
