Linkin Park's debut album changed everything for Nu Metal and Hard Rock in the early 2000's. By introducing harder elements in a more digestible and family friendly package, Linkin Park was able to establish a much larger install base of fans than their contemporaries at the time. In this video I share my memories of hearing Linkin Park for the first time, go over every song on Hybrid Theory, and discuss the impact that Linkin Park had on teenagers in the year 2000 and beyond.
