We want our customers to feel comfortable even on colder or windy days,” she adds.

At Garaza’s showroom in Myllypuro, women can try on different khimars in front of mirrors and receive personal styling advice. “Many of our customers want their khimar to complement the rest of their outfit—whether that’s a blazer, a sweatshirt, or a summer dress,” explains one of the showroom’s assistants.

One particularly notable trend is the urban styling of khimars. This modest garment is becoming part of a wider fashion narrative, blending cultural identity with contemporary aesthetics. Young women—students and working professionals alike—are incorporating khimars into minimalist, elegant outfits. It’s a form of expression, not just of faith, but of personal style.

Gar-Zaripova emphasizes that comfort and authenticity must always come first. “Fashion is a tool, but identity is the foundation. Our job is to offer clothing that supports both.”
