Welcome to Digimasters Shorts, we are your hosts Adam
Nagus

Carly W (00:08):
and Carly Wilson delivering the latest scoop from
the digital realm.
A new industry group called theCreators Coalition on AI has
been launched to establishenforceable rules for how
artificial intelligence istrained and used in
entertainment.
The coalition brings togetherwriters, actors, and
technologists to address ongoingdisputes over AI in Hollywood

(00:29):
and digital media.
Unlike labor unions, the groupaims to create voluntary
standards that could influenceindustry-wide practices and
policies.
Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, aco-founder, revealed that
filmmaker Daniel Kwan inspiredthe initiative.
Gordon-Levitt expressed concernabout companies rushing to
deploy AI without clear rulesprotecting creators.

(00:50):
The coalition seeks to includenot only traditional artists but
also YouTubers, podcasters, andall types of creators.
The group's formation followsyears of criticism over A.I's
potential to replicate creativework without consent or
compensation.
Its launch also comes afterrecent strikes and lawsuits
focused on copyright, trainingdata, and likeness rights.

(01:14):
More than 500 prominent industryfigures have supported the
coalition's letter to promoteresponsible AI use.
Gordon-Levitt emphasized thatthe coalition is committed for
the long term, using publicpressure, legal action, and
legislation to protect creators.

Adam N2 (01:29):
Bangkok Dusit Medical Services, Thailand's largest
private hospital group, isintegrating artificial
intelligence to improve patientsafety.
The technology assists withtasks including equipment
sterilization and providingpersonalized healthcare
recommendations.
This initiative aims to enhancethe overall quality of care for
patients across their network.

(01:50):
By leveraging AI, the hospitalgroup seeks to reduce errors and
optimize treatment plans.
The system also supports staffby streamlining routine
processes and ensuringcompliance with safety
standards.
This move reflects a broaderglobal trend of adopting AI in
healthcare settings.
Experts believe such innovationscan lead to better outcomes and

(02:11):
increased efficiency.
Patient data privacy and ethicalconsiderations remain a priority
during implementation.
The hospital group continues tomonitor and refine the use of AI
to maximize benefits.
This development underscores thegrowing role of technology in
the future of medicine.
Google has introduced a majorupdate by integrating its Gemini

(02:31):
AI with Notebook LM,revolutionizing knowledge
management and productivity.
This new tool combines Gemini'scontextual intelligence with
Notebook LM's organizationalcapabilities, turning static
data into dynamic, actionableinsights.
Users can store extensiveresearch and documents in
Notebook LM, allowing Gemini toaccess and process information

(02:53):
seamlessly without repetitiveuploads.
The integration enables users togenerate tailored content,
answer complex questions, andautomate repetitive tasks,
saving time and increasingaccuracy.
For example, researchers cancompile fitness data in
notebooks, and Gemini can createpersonalized workout plans or

(03:13):
coaching scripts based on thatinformation.
Professionals can uploadbusiness strategies and market
analyses, with Gemini assistingin producing presentations and
evidence-based recommendations.
This AI-driven collaborationstreamlines workflows and
enhances creativeproblem-solving by acting like a
personal assistant thatunderstands individual needs.

(03:35):
Access to some advanced featuresmay initially be limited to
enterprise users, with plans forbroader availability in the
future.
As of December 2025, the updatemarks a significant leap in
AI-powered tools, promisingongoing improvements and
expanded applications.
This integration heralds a newera where AI actively

(03:55):
collaborates with users to boostproductivity across professional
and personal pursuits.

Carly W (04:01):
Google DeepMind has launched the public beta of its
Interactions API, addressinglimitations in stateless large
language model architectures.
Unlike traditional modelsrequiring full conversation
histories to be sent with eachrequest, the new API stores
interaction history server-side,enabling more complex, long-term
agent behaviors.

(04:21):
This stateful design supportsBackground Execution, allowing
asynchronous tasks like extendedweb research without HTTP
timeouts.
The API also supports the openModel Context Protocol, letting
Gemini models access externaltools natively.
Google’s approach differs fromOpen A.I’s Responses API by
prioritizing full historyinspectability over compressed,

(04:43):
opaque conversation summaries.
Free-tier users receive aone-day data retention limit,
while paid users benefit from a55-day history retention,
enhancing cost efficiency viaimplicit caching.
However, some features remainimperfect, such as the Deep
Research agent’s citation systemreturning redirect links instead
of direct URLs.

(05:04):
Experts praise the API’spotential to reduce developer
workload and token costs butcaution about managing data
residency and security concerns.
This release marks a significantshift toward treating models as
interactive systems rather thansimple text generators.
Developers are advised toevaluate this new paradigm
carefully to optimize agentperformance and compliance.

(05:27):
Accenture’s Chief Responsible AIOfficer, Arnab Chakraborty,
emphasized that AI and datastrategies must be central to
business operations, not treatedas separate projects.
This perspective is informed bya unique joint venture between
Accenture and Telstra, formed toaccelerate AI innovation beyond
slow corporate cycles.

(05:47):
Telstra’s data executive, DayleStevens, highlighted the need to
compress a five-year roadmapinto two years due to rapid
market changes.
The joint venture bypassestraditional annual budgets,
enabling greater agility and afresh company identity that
blends corporate and SiliconValley innovation.
Chakraborty warned againstfocusing solely on technology,

(06:10):
stressing the importance ofculture and people in redefining
organizations for AI adoption.
Addressing technical debt,Telstra is consolidating 80 data
platforms down to three toimprove data quality and reduce
complexity.
Stevens noted the challenge ofstandard budget cycles in
fast-moving AI landscapes, advocating for agility to pivot

(06:31):
with emerging technologies.
Telstra’s generative AI tool,"Ask Telstra," was introduced to
solve employee pain points, receiving enthusiastic adoption.
To combat fears of AI jobdisplacement, Telstra launched
an AI Academy to activelyreskill workers and foster
acceptance.
Trust emerged as a criticalfactor for AI success, with

(06:52):
leadership urged to commit fullyand authentically to AI
integration efforts.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
