Speaker 0 (00:01):
If you know me, you
know I love experimenting with
my content and experimenting iswhat I've done lately,
especially on social media, youmay have noticed I've been
experimenting more in the realmof changing up the topics I talk
about with AI, current events, tech, things like that.
Before I would talk aboutcontent creation, most people
(00:21):
kind of know me for podcastingon like how to podcast and
educational type content aroundpodcasting, which is largely
what I've been publishing forthe past few years and I
published a lot of content.
It's hard for me to even wrapmy head around it, but I've
probably published 1200 plusunique short form videos around
(00:41):
that topic content contentcreation, podcasting, things
like that and we're like 260episodes deep or something of
this podcast and I've probablypublished one and a half times
that for newsletters, cause atone point I was doing twice
weekly email newsletters aroundthat topic of content creation
and podcasting and then Ishifted to once a week, which
(01:05):
it's funny how like chill thatfelt with just going from twice
to once and I was like, how didI ever do twice a week?
That's a lot.
And within my newsletter I'veexperimented a lot.
Within this podcast I'veexperimented a lot and I think
that I'm at the next evolutionof my content, which is less
around the topics of contentcreation podcasting, things like
(01:25):
that and more leaning into kindof what's going on with AI,
tech, current events around thatstuff, things that I come
across that I think peopleshould be informed about not
necessarily my opinion on them, more posing questions around
them or just informing peoplearound what's going on.
(01:46):
And that's a bit of a pivot, atleast in my mind, and so what
I'm doing is just kind ofcleaning up where I distribute
content so that people are aware.
Now I don't really clean that upon social media because social
media is so fast moving, butthis podcast, I mean we spend
time every week, even if it'sjust for a few minutes, and so I
(02:06):
really respect your time, whether it's email or this
podcast or anywhere we crosspaths, and so I just wanted to
say that thank you one forlistening.
It means a lot.
It's the reason why I do this.
And for two, I'm going to bepivoting up my newsletter, which
you may have already read about.
I just don't know how I'm goingto be pivoting up my newsletter
, which you may have alreadyread about.
I just don't know how I'm goingto pivot up or change up the
(02:27):
content within this podcast andI don't know if I'll be doing a
completely new podcast.
I'll make sure to update theshow notes for one, where you
can opt in to get the new weeklyemail newsletter and two,
latest information about thispodcast, because I'm just going
to pause for a second to makesure I can deliver information
in a way that's actually wantedthrough a podcast, versus just
(02:50):
forcing it, because it'ssomething that I've always done.
If I had to like wrap thisaround and a lesson that could
also benefit you is, it's justsomething that I've found to be
both incredibly scary butnecessary for growth in my life
is testing the way I've beendoing things and seeing if
(03:11):
there's a way that works betterand there's always a way you
could do probably somethingbetter, right, but when it comes
to like large chunks of timeand commitments that we make
consciously or unconsciously,it's like one of the oldest
things around.
Productivity is like whenyou're auditing or watching
someone do something.
They're like why do you do itthat way and they go.
(03:32):
Well, that's the way I'vealways done it and I think it's
easy to get in these patterns inour environment, where we do
something and just becomes.
That's the way I've always doneit.
I don't want to fall into thatwith my content that I'm
publishing for you, because Iput a lot of intention behind
what I do and I want it to beworth your time.
So I'm taking a pause on thispodcast and changing things up
(04:06):
because I going make sure tocheck the episode description
here for a link to the newnewsletter If you're not already
signed up for it.
Keep an eye out for if I got anew podcast coming and hopefully
we can stay connected on socialmedia, where I'll still be
posting regularly, not reallygoing anywhere, just changing up
how I show up on theseplatforms, and I hope you're
having a great summer and we canstay connected.
