Ch. 55 - Strange Days.

Through a recorded message on the LD, Easton reveals to Rose that the Club's success stems from an AGI called Song that he created. Song has evolved to hack people's Branch technology and harvest their thoughts, allowing perfect market predictions. Easton explains that the Polaris diamond is actually a key to control Song, which will go dormant upon his death until Rose performs the Pyramid Song exactly as she did the night he gave her the diamond. He apologizes for his secrecy and expresses his deep love for Rose before the message ends.
