In the fourth episode of the Dirty Boots Show, host Frank Erdes is joined by Mark Yates from Yates Electrical Services (YES Group)—a leading electrical, solar and high voltage solutions installation contractor in the beautiful Riverland Region of South Australia—to talk about how investor interest is spreading solar power across Australia and the things slowing it down. Mark is an entrepreneur and electrician by trade with over a decade spent in high voltage and utility-scale substations, which led him into renewable energy. Today, he is the founder and managing director of YES Group. After beginning in the construction of renewable energy projects, the company then moved into residential and commercial solar rooftop installations and was able to expand quickly, hiring more staff and supplying labour and expertise to many large renewable energy projects across Australia. Yates Electrical Services has now provided over 1,700 homes and businesses across the region with solar energy solutions.
