FOOTBALL meets WRESTLING?? The XFL was created when the WWE’s Vince McMahon looked at the NFL (one of the most successful sports leagues of all time) and said “I can do this better”.
Steve Ward and Justin ‘Red’ Dodd travel back to the attitude era of the early 2000s to intercept all of the info they can find about what was supposed to be the next evolution of American football. But after trying every gimmick in the playbook (comedy sketches, fewer safety regulations, giveaways, ‘tours’ of the cheerleaders’ locker room) McMahon and co. still managed to fumble the ball HARD.
