Induction: Shadows of Change Chapter 7
(sample will add more if interest in it is shown)
This is a story that in the universe and has occurred during the modern era of Earth, The chapter that brings "us" into the picture is written but not posted yet.
The Consulate is one of several massive governing bodies in the Galaxy, it is the most dominate of the eight bodies that do not get along. The technology is both super high tech and really low tech at times. You will encounter eight different characters that will cross paths in some way shape or form. There are several stories unfolding because this is about world immersion not just telling one story. It is one but it reflects how several stories can affect one another and those participants never even meet in their life times.
-------------
Brief World Notes;
Primary Galactic Governing Body:
The Consulate; Two figures are elected by the public to lead the unified races, and are referred to as a Consulate Prime.
Prime Honorums; are positions below this that support the other various roles of the government, a mixture of military and political administration posts. A Consulate Prime can not hold that position unless they have held a position of Prime Honorums for at least 10 Geaons. (roughly 10 earth years) It does not have to one position for the time period but the appointment must be consecutive from one station to another.
Military Power: Consulate Imperium are controlled by elected Militaris Magistrates that answer directly to the Consulate Primes.
There is one Militaris Magistrates per Galactic sector and they are responsible to carrying out and policing all military and civilian laws and actions.
Interstellar Travel: The Primary stardrive in this world is called Aether Spindle Drive (ASD) but you will have to read/listen to find how it works. This is an expensive and closely guarded Consulate regulated technology. Another systems do not have this at their disposal so they depend on Consul-Ships for interstellar travel and commerce.
* They're other ways to get around the galaxy, Gate systems, Sub-light travel, and Transfer Portals are common place but they do have a limited range. These other travel options are as common as our own airline, rail, bus and like systems.
** Consulate Prime: No Non-Human has ever held this position in recorded history.
*** Consulate ID, every citizen is issue a CID unique to them, This Digital Identifier determines a subject permissions, allowances and allocation levels since money is completely digital. People are allocated life-resources based on their contribution the society as a whole. There is a physical monetary system in the galaxy but you cannot purchase Consulate goods or services with it. There is an exchange method in place that will allow it to be converted into Consul Life-Resources but you must verify it was come by honestly. Will explain further in my stories.
