I'm so excited. You're here today.
We're talking about Vision boarding and creating a vision
board. There is a seven step process to
creating it that I want to sharewith you because I just shared
(01:13):
actual photos and videos of my vision board on Instagram and
Tick-Tock. And now I want to just explain
to you how to make your very ownvision board.
It will be a quick and exciting and fun episode and I hope Hope
that you got something out of it.
I hope you get a completed vision board that inspires you
(01:35):
to live your best life. The mission of the dissolving
fear podcast is to help you. Let go of old hurts and doubt
and Trauma and adversity, so that you can grow into the
person you want to be so that you can realize your Highest
(01:57):
Potential and maximize your potential in life.
I think one way we maximize our potential is by focusing on what
we want, rather than focusing onwhat we don't want and what we
don't want more of and the things that we want to avoid.
So this is a very upbeat episode, we're talking about
(02:20):
your vision for your best life. And I just want you to know that
your history, your past your adversity and your trauma, do
not block you from your best life.
And you don't need to repress those parts of you.
You can accept them with compassion and then just
dissolve them down, as part of who you are part of your story
(02:47):
and then focus on the story thatyou're writing right now, focus
on the life you're creating right now.
So that is the topic of today's episode Vision boarding.
So my friend mckaela has been Asian boarding for 10 years and
she's constantly growing and expanding in her life and in her
(03:08):
business, I love it. I make a vision board once a
year. Every January, the first step I
do is I get some poster board. It can be a small as an eight
and a half by 11 piece of paper,or your vision board, could be a
pretty large poster board. It's totally up to you once you
(03:31):
get your poster board. I like to create Eight a border
around my vision board so I drawlittle lines or decoration
around the edge of my vision board.
I even cut out the edge and justmake it a little wavy and cut
out the edge. The purpose of your border is to
(03:51):
kind of envelop and enclose yourvision and all the things that
you want to bring to life and bring into your life in All
form. For those of you who are into
manifesting and Law of Attraction, the vision board
supports your beliefs and your philosophies because all the
(04:15):
pictures words and experiences and feelings that you put in
your vision board are the thingsthat you want to manifest and
bring into your life. I think that the feeling of your
board is more important than thedetails.
The essence of your Even for your life, is more important
(04:35):
than the form. So we tend to get hung up on
exactly what we want and I encourage you to be flexible and
to focus on the feeling of what you want, and what you want to
experience. So steps one and two poster
board, and create your border number three, get some images.
(04:59):
They don't have to be images of exactly what you want.
Point you can cut out images of what you want, but you can also
cut out words and phrases that reflect how you want to feel?
Maybe you want a relationship soyou might cut out a picture of a
happy couple or an older retired.
Happy couple. So I like to get magazines for
(05:23):
step 3, I go to the doctor's office, the dentist office, my
therapist. She actually gave me a bunch of
magazines from her waiting room and getting them.
Magazines can be the hardest part these days because I don't
have a lot of magazines, lying around my house or catalogs, but
you can also print images off ofthe internet and then use those
(05:46):
and glue. Those to your vision board, cut
them out, get a glue stick and put them on your vision board,
but don't do it yet because we're only on step 3.
But step three would be to collect some magazines and I
love collecting the magazines versus printing things off the
computer because I like to Leaf through the magazine leisurely.
(06:10):
I like to look at the pictures and daydream.
You know, you're not reading theArticles, you're just kind of
perusing through and just cutting out any pictures or
words or phrases that catch youreye.
And resonate with you. So you're just allowing yourself
to daydream. And I don't know, I have a funny
(06:32):
story from a vision board a few years ago.
I just cut out this jar of marinara sauce, ra0 Rao marinara
sauce because I was like, yeah, I want to do more cooking, you
know? And it turns out I buy that
sauce a lot now because it's like a low sugar all-natural
(06:54):
sauce. And I followed someone on
Instagram who had really good recipes and recommended. the
sauce and I just ended up cooking with it and so it's just
interesting how things pan out sometimes from your vision
board, when you least expect it,And so definitely if something
(07:14):
just catches your eye, cut it out, you might end up with more
pictures and images from magazines.
Then you have room for on your vision board and that's fine.
So, stop 5 is when you start placing images on your vision
board. So first in the middle of your
(07:34):
vision board, glue an image on there.
That represents your faith, Faith in a higher power.
If you believe that or in the fact that good things come to
you and you deserve them becauseI think a lot of times when
you've been through adversity and Trauma you don't think you
(07:57):
deserve to dream big, you don't think you deserve the good
things in life and you totally do and this is a great
opportunity for you to put your dreams and desires onto paper.
In these little images that willinspire you and become your
vision board. In the middle of your vision
(08:23):
board, put something that represents your faith in good,
things to come your faith and life working out for you and
providing for you. I actually put a picture of a
cat, that looks a lot. Like my little cat in the middle
of my vision board because he represents this little cat.
(08:45):
He represents this constant source of unconditional love in
my life. And that reminds me of God, or
Spirit or a higher power. I just feel like guidance from a
higher power is always pouring into me with unconditional love
(09:06):
and optimism. And I feel like when I get home
from work, that's what my littlecat does.
He's always there purring and loving me and just wanting to
connect. So I put my little kitty in the
middle. My children are Right there in
the Middle with my cat last year, I put a dove in the middle
(09:26):
of my vision board because I felt like it represented, hope
and a peaceful life which is really what I'm after.
So when it comes to step 6, I'llgive you a couple more details
of things that you might want toput on your vision board.
So step 5 was putting something that represents a higher power
(09:48):
or divine intervention in your life.
In the middle of your vision board.
And for step six, you have some other things that you can focus
on when you're collecting images.
So, the other things you might want to look for our pictures
and phrases. That remind you of family pets.
(10:10):
Love friends, your passions and hobbies images that remind you
of healthy habits that you want to Foster this.
Here images that remind you of your ideal home life.
And what you're creating, as faras your environment and we're
(10:31):
how you want to live and the environment that you want to
live in, you can also look for images about ways.
You want to contribute to the world and financial and career
goals. So those are some pictures that
you can look for when you're leafing through magazines.
No pictures of family pets. Something that reminds you of
(10:56):
friendships and relationships that you want in your life
pictures that remind you of lovethat, maybe you're calling into
your life or creating for yourself.
And pictures that remind you of healthy habits career goals,
like I said, your ideal home life.
(11:17):
If you can Envision it, then youcan glue a picture of it on to
your vision board, and you can even write some words about it
in your own handwriting on your vision board.
Finally step 7 is enjoy your vision board let the images and
words on it inspire you. I like to write the words in
(11:42):
present tense so maybe I'll put a picture of the beach up there
and say I am walking on the beach or I love being at the
beach. So you want to write words as if
all that you desire is already falling into place in your life,
focus on what you want. Obviously, don't focus on fear
(12:03):
and doubt and what you don't want, more of you want to put
pictures of what you want on your Your vision board and
create your unique vision for your future on your vision
board. If you tend to focus on what you
don't want or what you're afraidof vision boards are wonderful
because they keep you focused onwhat you do, what to plan for
(12:27):
and experience and accomplish and allow into your life.
So, a vision board naturally cuts out, the Clutter it cuts
out the What ifs, what if it doesn't work out?
What if I can't make it happen, and it cuts out all that
unhelpful. Self-talk, one.
(12:49):
Other thing you can do after youmake and create and hang up your
vision board somewhere in your room or in your house.
One other thing you can do is you can declutter a little bit
toss out some old clutter toss out old memorabilia from like an
old relationship or anything that reminds tziu of the past
(13:11):
that you don't need anymore. Physically, throw away things
that are not serving you any longer in your home and make
some room to grow, let go to grow.
So when you let go of the Clutter, you make room for
growth and your vision board is kind of telling you the
(13:32):
direction of your growth and howyou want to grow this year.
Remember it's not about things, it's about feelings.
Cities and experiences that you want to create and it doesn't
need to stop there with your vision board.
If you have something in mind that you want to create like say
you want to live at the beach orby the water, you can put up
(13:55):
pictures of the beach around your house.
You can have your kids draw, yousome pictures of the beach and
so it doesn't need to stop just with your vision board.
And the last tip I have is remember to Prepare for your
future, take action towards yourfuture and reflect and
(14:17):
celebrate. So if you start making progress
towards something on your visionboard, reflect on that and give
yourself a pat on the back and celebrate that.
Even if you take a small step towards something on your vision
board, celebrate that action andthat step along the path in your
life that you want to take. So congratulations on starting
(14:42):
your vision board. I hope you get to it and have a
wonderful year, full of your dreams and desires come true.
That completes our episode for today.
