This rebellion led to his expulsion from heaven, establishing him as God's adversary and humanity's opponent. While powerful, Satan operates through predictable tactics: deception as the father of lies, temptation exploiting our vulnerabilities, accusations making us feel unworthy of grace, dividing believers to weaken us, and blinding people to gospel truth.
What makes this message so empowering is the revelation that Satan's defeat is already secured. Through Christ's death and resurrection, the enemy has been disarmed and his power broken. As believers, we're not fighting for victory—we're fighting from victory! When those accusatory thoughts about past sins surface (even from decades ago), remember Romans 8:1: "There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus." We stand firm through God's armor: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and His Word.
