(00:00):
Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to Nova 10. I hope you all had an amazing holiday

(00:20):
season and were able to recharge. If you're new to Nova 10, I'm DJ Starline, a New York
City bass house EDM DJ. With each episode, I delve into a specific house music sub genre,
showcasing my curated selection of the latest tracks alongside time as classics and throwbacks.
This episode is all about the bass house anthems that are shaking things up right now. We'll

(00:44):
also have the All About You segment, the Nova 10 Top 5 and a special treat later on, an
exclusive guest DJ power mix. Coming up on my first set is Dylan Nathaniel's Bad Cubing
from November 29th. Then we'll have O'Toro's Rambo which came out December 13th on Night
Mode. Rambo is a masterful blend of hypnotic grooves with tech-infused textures and is

(01:09):
found in the Indonesian producer's latest boundary pushing EP, Cult Chrome. We'll have
laid back Luke and Chris Lorenzo's Break the House Down which dropped on October 4th. Then
coming up after that is a Nova 10 exclusive from Miranda Wright and Rob Rivera. I'm very
excited about this one. Miranda's record Pose has been extremely popular over the past few

(01:34):
months, even claiming the number one spot on BPM Supreme's Pop Charts and was number
one on the Commuter Tracks Hip Hop R&B Spotify playlist. Rob Rivera is on the remix as he
adds his own twist and brings the bass. Dakar by Lodgers released on November 29th will
come after that and Focus from Richard Gray which came out on December 6th will follow

(01:59):
and we'll close out the first set with Silk's I Got What You Want from December 27th. Let's
kick this episode off with the first throwback record of the mix and that's Joyride's Hoodlum
released in 2016 on Unwanted. For those who remember, Hoodlum is a sonic assault that
is relentless with its distorted synths, thunderous bass lines, and in-your-face vocals. So sit

(02:25):
back and enjoy the mix. When I return, I'll get right into the All About You segment.

I'm super happy with it and really think you'll enjoy it too. So if you're on YouTube right now
thank you so much for watching truly. All right so coming up is Patrick Riza and Noah Diamonds
ID which dropped on December 19th. Then we'll have Noizu with Rattlesnake from September 20th

(23:52):
which released on Techni. Rattlesnake is an edgy heavyweight record with driving bass lines,
chilling synths and a crisp percussion. Wango's Kamikaze from December 6th follows and then we'll
get into the second throwback record of the mix by Just Say Yes and his remix of Stay Here Forever

(24:13):
originally by Nitrix. This classic dropped back in 2016 on From Beyond Tomorrow records. Just Say Yes
is remix of Stay Here Forever injects a fresh dose of energy into the original track which we all
love and if you can recall the production is crisp and polished. I remember doing my thing to this

(24:34):
song when it came out and I would let loose to that bouncy and trippy beat and drop so I hope to
take you back to that time in this second set. After that we'll jump into Axon and Legacy Officials
Shut It Down which will wrap up the second set. It's from Hood Politics Records and it released on

(24:55):
November 22nd. This is a highly anticipated debut collaboration from Axon and Legacy which is an
explosive track that has left dance floors speechless with the high energy call and response
leads. It's no wonder it's called Shut It Down because it really does shut things down. But right
now let's move into Magnetic from Valentino Con and Nomi released December 6th on Create Music Group.

(25:23):
Magnetic is a bouncy dance track that seamlessly blends elements of bass house and future bass
which I believe that Valentino and Nomi did not disappoint. Love this track. So keep listening,
the Nova 10 top 5 songs across all EDM genres are coming right up and you won't want to miss
our special guest DJ Power Mix.

(40:04):

And now, the Nerva 10 Top 5 Tracks of the Month
Number 5

(40:43):
Number 5 is Patterns by Tykee, Nulite and Hamdi from the Stay In Your Lane EP, released December 13th on Polydor Records. Nulite and Hamdi blend industrial textures and breakbeats to set the stage, creating an atmosphere that's both eerie and alluring, while also adding in grime and grit that perfectly complements the music's raw energy. Both Tykee and Hamdi are on the road doing sets around the world.

(41:11):
Number 4

(41:35):
At number 4 is Lucas and Steve and Tiesto with their collaboration Free Your Mind, a musical freedom drop from December 13th. The track's opening is captivating with the Free Your Mind sample that draws the listener in before exploding into a catchy melodic chorus. The breakdown is where the magic happens, a stripped back atmospheric section that builds tension before the drop comes back with full force.

(42:02):
Keep up with Tiesto and Lucas and Steve online for more as they continue to drop new music and perform live across the world.
Number 3

(42:34):
This month's number 3 track is Agalo Next Gen by Angelique Kijo and Ameme, the song dropped on December 13th with Parlophone France. Kijo's iconic Agalo from 30 years ago gets a fierce injection of Afro House energy courtesy of Ameme and the results are electrifying.

(42:55):
The original's raw percussive heart remains, but now it's beefed up with a relentless 4 on the floor beat and gives us a thrilling reimagining that bridges generations and genres. Angelique Kijo has received a Grammy nomination this year for Best Global Music Performance and Ameme is currently on tour, wrapping up the current leg on January 30th in Bali.

(43:18):
Number 2

(43:42):
Coming in at number 2 is R.L. Grime and Noctu featuring Abby Flynn with Come Alive, released on 88 Rising Music on December 6th. This trap future bass record isn't just another banger as it redefines the boundaries of bass music.
Noctu injects a raw energy that propels the track forward as R.L. Grime masterfully adds layers of gritty textures that create a truly immersive sound. Noctu recently announced his debut album No Limit is finally coming out this month on January 17th.

(44:16):
Number 1

(44:38):
The number one record of this episode's Nova 10 Top 5 tracks of the month is The Limit by Patrick Topping featuring Jinudu, released December 13th on Trick.
The Limit gets right into a driving beat with Jinudu's vocals adding a super edgy touch to the track's mood and feel. Topping's production is top notch and masterfully crafted with each added element serving to build the overall energy.

(45:06):
I promise you're not getting off the dance floor, this one's put on repeat. Patrick Topping is joining Green Velvet and Dennis Salta for a Trick event at Drum Sheds London in March and apart from individual sets, the three producer DJs are also doing a first ever back to back to back performance.
And those were my picks of the month. Keep listening to Nova 10 for the next edition of Top 5 tracks of the month.

Okay, let's get back to the mix and wrap things up with 4 more heaters.
Coming up is DJ Pixon with Move That Body, released on November 22nd.
Dipper Baris and Vigilance. Serac will come after, which came out December 6th on Ultra Records.

(47:26):
Serac is a standout track and easily one of my favorites with its undeniable non-stop groove.
And then Mover by Thomas Krings from December 20th will be my last track for today.
But right now, let's get into the tune from Stage P, which released on November 22nd by Flava.
And this record is a hard-hitting dance track that seamlessly flows, taking you on a vibrant emotional journey that really takes over.

(47:55):
Don't miss what's next for the first time ever. I'm thrilled to welcome a special guest to the show.
DJ Wicked is on deck for a Nova 10 exclusive power mix.
