another exciting adventure of DND 721.
My name is Mudd, the Dungeon Master, and I never get tired of

(01:32):
introducing these five heroes, and I'm sure they never get
tired of introducing themselves. So 5 heroes, in whatever order
makes you all the happiest, please introduce yourself to the
listeners. I'm going first.
Hi, my name is Nacomas Whisper win and I played a druid here.
I am pyro playing an Arluin 7 level artificer.

(01:53):
At this point we're seeing if mymom dies today, it.
Could happen. I'm Tolton playing Braga near
the humble level 7 Bard. Let's let's see how Devon fares
against the full might of the Godslayers.
La Mosquito's playing Thea the Paladin and Warlock and I'm I'm

(02:20):
ready to kick kick some some ass.
Yama is here playing Pebble and is just glad that this action is
gaining traction. Let's fucking go.
Oh Barbarian fighter levels to heaven, hi.
You know, just the the sort of important things like what are

(02:42):
you? What am I?
Oh my God, that is going to playPebble for the rest of this
campaign. What am I?
What is Pebble? What is Pebble?
Let's do just a little bit of recap, everybody.
We had a action-packed last episode.
Jeez, I you guys were all acrossthe board.

(03:03):
You came out of the Black Pudding Massacre, you had a
meeting with Bertram the Red andTorque, and you had all kinds of
discussions and conversations about what was happening.
You set up plans and that included including but not

(03:25):
limited to Braggrenier and Pebble getting themselves
arrested and Pebble getting herself shuttled off into
basically the altar where Torquealso set up a anti magic field
where they're on the airship Magic would be essentially it's

(03:47):
a fancy home brewed dispelled area effect.
And Nokomis and Carceval had a somewhat sweet a goodbye scene
together where he was being whisked off in the middle of the
night. But before he left, he came and
said goodbye to her. And the morning Chapel bells

(04:11):
began to ring. Everyone made their way to the
ship, and the ship lifted off from the ground and began to
sail over the city. And at that crux moment where
the priest asked does anybody object to this union, there was
a impassioned speech by everyonebut Pebble.

(04:33):
I was in a bot who was hiding inan altar.
Everyone said their piece and gave their final persuasion for
trying to convince Rena that something was wrong and that
this wasn't quite right. And there was a check, a global

(04:53):
check for that, that you guys absolutely blew out of the
water. That was really fun to see.
And then all hell broke loose asDevon the grin expressed
something to the effect. If you can't join him, beat him.
And he whistled loudly and all of his palace guards began to

(05:15):
swarm the deck, attacking anyoneand everyone and chaos broke out
across the upper deck of the airship, which you guys had
learned was also named Etherion, the sky jewel.
So as the Etherion guards were rushing up out of the stairs out

(05:35):
of back rooms, you guys are dealing with mobs of his guards
as well as Devin himself, who very spryly and to some
contention with some rule checking between what is mobile
do and what is Sentinel do and who be to for our listeners.
We did rule that the mobile featwas going to allow my big bad

(05:59):
evil guy the freedom of movementthat I designed him to have.
And I invite anyone and everyoneto bring that up later in the
bulls and bears. But until then, that's that is
the set rule for that. And Devon the Grin drew his
sword and with his mobs of minions manning the cannons, it

(06:20):
has been a knock down drag out fight.
Currently to set the stage for our listeners who maybe don't
quite remember where everything is.
There is on the northernmost endof the ship.
Arena is next to a dead priest up by the altar next to the
wheel of the ship. There is a group of palace

(06:41):
guards in the most northeast corner of the ship who are
firing a cannon down at the heroes.
There was one group of guards that Thea slayed and Thea is now
going face to face against Jack Khan.
Not Jack off Jacon, A smarmy greasy toothpick chewing guy
that she also squared off withinthe tournament, and he's also

(07:04):
surrounded by her and a fire elemental that NAR Louine
summoned. Nakomis is in the Middle Eastern
stretch of the ship, mostly by herself in a somewhat protected
area over there has been castingheels at people nonstop.
Then we have in a tight cluster Pebble, the Steel Defender,

(07:28):
Narlouine, a swarm of his guards, Brag Grenier and Yvonne
the Grin himself. Narlouine and his Steel Defender
are manning the cannon there andthey had just fired a shot
directly into the floor in frontof the feet of that swarm of
guards. And those guards were all
laughing very menacingly at Narlawine for his bad aim with a

(07:51):
cannon. Down at the far southern end of
the upper deck was Bertram the Red.
Bertram the Red is being swarmedby two different mobs of Devon's
guards and everyone's kind of just left him down there.
We don't know how Bertram the Red is doing, but I think I
mentioned in the last session and I will mention again,

(08:11):
Bertram the Red is pretty beat up.
He he's not necessarily OK and the last thing to happen at the
end of our last session was a rumbling that came from below
the deck and in an upward explosion bursting through the
floor, tipping over tables and making this giant crash came
torque in his steel defender walking contraption.

(08:37):
He burst through the floor as heand his steel defender came
crashing down onto the deck. And I think I described it as
the Power Loader from the Aliensmovie.
He is writing in this interior cage within his steel defender.
It is walking bipedal on 2 legs and it has two big mechanical

(08:58):
arms that it it. Who knows what those can do.
You you guys will find out. And that ladies and gentlemen is
our much truncated, if very longrecap.
And we are at the top of the turn order as Torque comes

(09:18):
crashing through in his steel defender and with Torque landing
on the upper deck. Did anybody have anything that
they were thinking or saying or shouting to Torque before we
begin the turn order? Yeah, Narlawein instantly has
some some jealousy on the contraption that he did not know

(09:38):
the Steel Defender could become a exoskeleton armor I don't know
thing and instantly just wants to replicate it.
Yeah. Is that a Gobot?
Torque shots. Ah, this is my steel defender.
Yes, this took many years of tinkering and can and

(10:02):
developing. I'm sure your little Phoenix
there could become something useful like this one day.
Phoenix is useful now. Watch him work.
He just laughs and says, yes, I'm sure, OK, I'm going to roll
some initiative for him really quickly.
We'll get him into the turn order.

(10:23):
Meanwhile, at the top of the turn order, Rena finally has
kind of shaken out of her, her shock and her surprise and all
of the different things. Something else that has been
happening was on the lower decksbelow the main deck that the all
of you are on, the cannons have been firing on the orders of

(10:49):
Devon the Grin. Nakomis, you are on the edge of
a railing and Narloween, so are you.
Could both of you please give mesome perception checks?
Does a Nat 20 + 5 hit? Can I say that again?
Yeah, go ahead, say it again. Does a Nat 20 + 5 hit?

(11:12):
Yeah, first roll of the night, aNat 20, yes.
OK, so in a comas with A12 you can see a lot of smoke and the
cannons below on the lower decksare being fired and you can hear
screaming down below Narlawine with a Nat 20.
You can see that on the second deck and the lower third deck,
those cannons are positioned downward and aiming into your

(11:37):
city of Silver Moon. And those cannons are firing
down into the businesses, into the buildings, into the
households, and they are firing cannons indiscriminately into
the crowds of people below. And you also see your mother is

(12:00):
kind of looking from where she is on that upper raised dais up
by the altar. She can also see and hear the
cannons firing. She sees all the fighting taking
place. And at the top of the order, she
runs to the wheel. She pushes the dead body of the
priest out of the way, grabs thewheel in her hands, and she
begins heaving it to the left, trying to steer the ship.

(12:21):
And she shouts over her shoulderat anyone who's listening,
saying we have to get the ship away from the city, we have to
protect the people. And that is basically all she
does at the top. Thea, you are first.
OK, well this sucks that they'reblowing up the city.

(12:43):
Well, I'm going to turn over here and look at Jack off and
I'm going to swing my great sword at this this ugly ass guy.
All right, let's go. Go ahead and give that a swing.
Cool, it's a net 20 and I'm going to use Shining Smite as
well. Are you fucking kidding me?

(13:04):
Not kidding, my shining smite also is going to be level 2 but
let me roll damage on my first attack.
Yeah. OK, damage on my first attack,
it's going to be 19. OK.
Yeah, oopsies. I'm going to read out Shining's
mic, so I haven't used this one yet.

(13:27):
So the target hit by the strike takes an extra 2D6 radiant
damage from the attack until thespell ends.
The target sheds bright light ina 5 foot radius.
Attack rolls against it have advantage, and it can't benefit
from the invisible condition, but it is a concentration for
myself up to a minute. So yes, I'm going to roll damage
for that. So we're at 19 right now.

(13:50):
That's four. So we're at 23.
And now I'm going to hit him again.
That's going to be a 19 to hit. Yeah, that hits.
OK, and that's going to be another 8 damage?
Jeez. So what is that 31?
OK, yes. 31 Yep, you're right, you're right.

(14:13):
I'm looking at your shining. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Nuts. That is a lot of damage to deal
out. OK, yeah.
You slash into Chacon and he like, toothpick falls from his
mouth and he he like screams andscrambles back as you slice him
open. He's still alive, but roughly

(14:36):
half the health he had before. He's also still on fire.
Yeah, when we when we get to histurn, we will deal with that.
Yeah, as far as the The Shining Smite goes, it's just me.
That's unlike the concentration. He doesn't do any saves and he
doesn't take any like extra damage or anything.

(14:56):
I was just going to ask if he had any any saves to do for that
but it sounds like not OK. No, but he is wounded twice.
Motherfucker is cut up. Yeah, OK, so he will be rolling
for two wounds and being on fireat the start of his turn.
Yes, well he'll take damage 1st and then he can roll.

(15:18):
Yep. OK, shit.
OK. Mia just smiled and just smiles
at him. Yeah, no.
He he looks terrified of you. My, my, my tails are are like
kind of flared out. So yeah, that's my turn.
Right her near that brings us toyou.
All right, I'm going to I'm going to thought speech to

(15:40):
Narleen and Pebble really quick and I'm going to say, what do
you guys think? Do I attack these guards or or
do I go for Devon? Go for Devon.
I'll handle the guards. Yeah.
All right, with with the backingof them, I'm going to cast
Dissonant Whispers of the third level on Devon.

(16:03):
OK, whisper a discordant melody, the only one creature your
choice within range can hear, wrapping it with terrible pain.
So I need a wisdom say from Devon please.
Yeah, let's get one of those. He's not the wisest guy ever
made. You sure don't play him like

(16:25):
that. He's a wise ass.
Stat wise. He's charismatic, yeah.
Yeah. OK.
Wisdom saving throw. He rolled A3.
Don't. Brag He is going to use one of
his legendary resistances to avoid the effect, but he still

(16:49):
takes the damage I. Can deal with that?
I can deal with that. As as you see your dissonant
whispers, he hears it and he he looks at you and he starts like
baring his teeth. And what you saw through your
gem during the night of the black pudding massacre, you see

(17:12):
that energy radiate out from him.
And as he burns one of his legendary resistances, you see
one of the coils of the rope that was used to hang him from
what he was describing in our last session.
You see the bruising up here around his neck as the power

(17:37):
from the Crippled God is used toresist your dissonant whispers.
He has a couple more of those, just to give everyone fair
warning. Legendary resistance, it is a
thing. He has a couple more.
He did just burn up one of them. And visually, you can see that
manifesting as the bruising around his neck intensifies.
You think you escaped the noose, but I still don't think it's

(17:59):
done with you. That is 17 damage, 17.
OK, perfect. Those are some low rolls. 23246
I had 1/6 thank. He looks at you brag and he says
you're you really should have taken my deal, little

(18:22):
bragrenier. You don't scare me anymore,
Devon. I should and that is going to
make it his turn if if you are done there.
Yeah, Bragg doesn't have any bonus action economy.
Okey dokey that. Does I?
I. You know what?
I am. I am.

(18:43):
Nevermind, nevermind. I'll stay where I'm at.
You can run if you want. No, I wasn't going to run.
I was thinking about rotating tothe other side of him but those
guards will just get me in the back.
They would get an opportunity attack, yes.
OK, I'll Bragg is going to stay where he's at.
OK, it is Devon the Grin's turn at Initiative 25.

(19:06):
He is going to make a a stab at you, Braggrenier.
I'm going to Sentinel Feet because he hasn't attacked me
yet, so all right. Fuck God damn it.
Too late. You, you said it, I responded.
I got through your through your ruse.

(19:28):
God, I love you, Mud. OK, roll your attack.
Nat 20. What?
Oh my God. I got a Nat 20.
I got a Nat 20. The little Unicorn popped up.
Oh my God you guys have hit all of my shit with Nat 20s.

(19:54):
Hey, hey, Bragrenair doesn't hold diced.
Hey, Bragner is pebbles buddy. So you attack Bragner, you guns
to get the axis swinging the image.
I'm assuming that hits right? Yes.
That hits. OK, OK, OK.
Just check and cheese. Nat 20 on Jacon.

(20:19):
Nat 20 on Divine. Nat 20 on Perception check.
Plus, that's nine damage. OK.
Yeah, so that was a pitiful critical.
Oh, wait, no, I didn't. I didn't roll critical.
That is my bad. I did not roll critical.
Oh no. Whoops.
Basically, we'll just roll another D6.

(20:41):
I won't do to you what you. Did so.
I got 9 and so 14, that's a little better.
OK. Yeah, that was my bad.
OK. Uh huh, my bad.
OK, your ex slices into him as he lunges forward, making a stab
at Braggrenier. Let's see, if I roll a Nat 20, I

(21:05):
could roll a Nat 20. I didn't.
I rolled a 19 Braggrenier. Does that hit you?
Yeah. OK, slices right through my my
leather armor. If I had my fine leather boots
though, I think I'd be all right.
Yes you might be OK because he had he did attack with

(21:26):
advantage. I'm sorry, let's just double
check here because you are surrounded and his rogue feet
allows him to attack with advantage if there is a friendly
unit in. Range, except that it's negated
by the defender field defender. The steel defender is on the
cannon. Is it within 5 feet of Devon?

(21:49):
Yeah. It's within 5 feet of everyone
here. Yeah, we're, let's say with four
feet. OK then instead of getting to do
his sneak attack because he doesnot have advantage because of
the steel defender. Oh, that could be real.
Saving that sneak attack is deadly.
Yeah it is. You still take 14 points of

(22:12):
damage and he is instead of sneak attack he is going to use
his poisoner ability. I need you to please make ADC 14
con saving throw. You got this brag.
You're not that. Oh hey, Brag has a couple points
in Canton. That's a nine.

(22:35):
Oof. OK, so you are going to take
some poison damage here as well and.
It was almost the one. The poisoned condition going
forward, so that is on you. That is going to be another 12
points of poison damage. 12 points of poison damage.

(22:56):
Yep, as he stabs his rapier intoyou, he pulls it back and he
looks at pedal and he says you can wait your turn, tiny.
You can't move anywhere, tall guy.
He looks at you and he goes, I'mright where I want to be and he
is going to make his second attack on Braggrenier.

(23:16):
Do I get a Nat 20? No, just a dirty 20.
Braggrenier, you are going to take another.
You've pulled A1. Of course, another 7.
Another one damage. No 7 points of the piercing
damage and I need another one ofthose con saving throws.

(23:36):
Since he can't do his sneak attack or move, he's just using
his poison. It's 12.
It is 14, so let's do this poison damage on you.
It's another 10 points of poisoning damage.
That's all you got. Stabs into you a couple times

(23:59):
and he says don't worry, it'll be plenty.
Pebble, that brings us to you. You son of a.
You want to skip your turn? I mean, that's an odd choice,
but sure, you can hold your action.
No, no, it's a Bob. Number one.
Hey, Torque. Oh hey, Pebble.
Turn around. Bertram needs some help.

(24:22):
Oh yeah. Oh.
You, you see, like his steel defender like clumsily begins to
like clank and turn around. In place, yeah, I'm going to
take my action and attack Devon, but specifically I am swinging

(24:42):
my axes at his balls specifically.
OK, OK. I just want that out in the
ether. All right.
And I'm swinging reckless, my man, So.
All right. Oh, does a 24 hit.
Yes it does. OK, for the sake of speed, I'm

(25:06):
going to roll my second attack now and then I'll do damage
later. OK, hold on then it roll.
Oh, that 11 doesn't hit? Does not.
OK. So it's just one round of the
the damage there, 11 damage for that.
OK. All right, bonus action, second

(25:27):
attack or two weapon fighting. Sorry, not second attack.
I did 2 weapon fighting, Yeah. Or, well, you reckless attacked
as your bonus action, didn't you?
No reckless attack is just kind of like you.
It's just you just do it. It's you choose to or not to.
That would be another 24. That's a hit.

(25:49):
All right, I know that this one I don't believe I am a rage too,
so it's well, that's simply to count. 6 plus AD 49, another 9
so 11 and 9 so 20 damage total. OK so the two weapon fighting it
is a bonus action. Yes, yeah, I know.

(26:10):
Oh. Oh, oh, yeah.
No, it was the reckless that wait, isn't it?
Reckless is just. Reckless is kind of like.
You can decide to. It's just when you when you make
your first. Yeah, it's not a bonus action.
Yeah, OK. I had it backwards in my head.
I was like, I'm almost positive that that 2 weapon fighting is a
bonus. But you're right, it's it is.

(26:31):
But the reckless is free, OK? Yes, yeah.
The only thing is I don't add myrage to it.
Right. That was a total of 20.
OK, How's he looking? How's his balls feel?
You, you, you hit him. Describe the damage.
You watch his eyes bulge in his head as your axes come up

(26:55):
between his legs. He's looking pretty darn hurt.
Pebble, why don't you go ahead and give me an Arcana check?
Moi. Yeah, you.
All right, oh, farts. That's part of the course for

(27:15):
this is a for get me anything. He's in a lot of pain from you
swinging your axes at his balls. As well he should be.
All right. Anything else Pebble?
No, no, no, no. I I want to, but no.
OK. Yeah, no.
Mob. One, I don't suppose.

(27:37):
I don't suppose I could use my action to climb into the cannon?
No, definitely. Not no.
OK. Mob one is dead.
They bled to death and the burned to death from all of
Thea's hellish rebukes that is going to make it to Khan's turn.
Smarmy, greasy, thin haired, combed straight back Guy has his

(27:59):
sword drawn, he's squared off with Thea and the fire
elemental. He turns to you, Thea, and he
goes. It's OK.
I'm not afraid, Devon. Devon has gotten us out of worse
situations. He'll Get Me Out of this too.
Yeah, I don't think so. Well, I mean, I'm, I'm going to
take you with me then I guess, right.

(28:20):
OK. Is that what they're saying?
Like if I go down, I'm taking you with me.
Did he roll 1D10 fire damage? No, Yeah, and he's got a roll
for his two woundings. Oh, I got to roll the.
Damage for the wounding Roll some damage everybody.
Pyro roll AD 4. 8 damage from both of his woundings.
OK, 8 total. Why AD 4?

(28:44):
For being on fire right? Or is it AD 6?
That'd be a 1D10. What?
And that's a 5. It's AD 10.
First time it enters a creature space on turn, that creature
takes 1D10 fire damage. Catches fire until someone takes
an action to douse the creature.Takes 5 or one D10 fire damage
at the start of each of its turns.

(29:04):
Jesus fuck all of you. My bad guys are just kidding.
Absolutely fucked by you maniacs.
OK so 5 and then Thea you're wounding that did 88.
Jesus, OK. He can try to save from the
wounding now. Yeah, he's going to.
Yeah. I wrote twice.

(29:26):
And those are CON saves. Yes, DC-15.
OK first roll 13 + 2 so first one he he undoes 1 wound.
Second roll is a 12 + 2 for a 14, so he fails the second one.
OK, done. As he's lit on fire, screaming

(29:46):
and bleeding, he just he runs atyou Thea he's just devil may
care screaming that Devon is going to save him.
Yeah, I got my my hands up, you know, tell him to come on.
OK, does an 18 hit. Yeah.
Does a another 18 hit. I assume that's a use and his

(30:09):
third attack is a 19. OK.
OK. Yeah, all three.
That one misses. Somehow.
The his last attack was a one OKThea you see as he on fire just
rushes straight at you swinging his own sword.

(30:30):
Just wild swinging arcs like from shoulder to hip, shoulder
to hip, and all three strikes dohit you for 18 slashing damage.
OK. He doesn't do anything about the
fire and this guy does not have any kind of bonus action.

(30:51):
So yeah, that's. OK, that's I'm gonna, I'm gonna,
I'm gonna reaction him and hellaShrebuk at a second level and do
3D10 damage 3D. 10. Yes Sir, I see all of you.
He can take. He can take half it up on me.
Nope, he can. And since I'm doing it at level
2, it's 3D10A. Level 1 is 2D10.

(31:14):
He can do a it's a it's a deck save of 13 to only take half of
the damage. Well he rolled the gnat too, so
5 doesn't cut it. All right, cool.
That out. 21 damage. I can Jack off.

(31:34):
How you? How you looking there?
Jack off. You're in, I'm Thea, Jacon says.
You're on the Jack offs. Great.
Until you guys came along. OK, well, that's.
All. For Devon.
That's what. Devon blast crew said Jack off.
I can't hear you over the sound of you being stabbed by Devon.

(31:57):
I can't hear you over. The sound of the fire crackling.
Iconis, that brings us to you, my good Sir.
What is Swamp Mommy doing? Well, well, well, well, Todd.
Swamp Mommy has been enjoying all the action and and clearly a
very good attacks by my teammates, but swap mommy is

(32:21):
going to peek your little head out and I'm going to run across
the way a little bit. Let's see about 30 feet ish are.
We running W towards Devonne or South towards Bertram the red.
We are running 30 feet. Let's see.
Just make sure I'm in range here.
Oh, I won't. Uh oh.

(32:41):
Yikes, Yikes. Yikes.
Stripes. Yeah.
I mean, we're going to. This is the biggest ship, in
fact. OK, no, all good.
I'll hold on. Time out.
Is it So far, all good. Healing words of 60 foot range.
We're fine. OK, so I'm going to move towards

(33:02):
the centre of the map, towards Devon.
OK. Right around on the edge of this
table here. I'm going to Crouch kind of
behind, that's about 30 feet, and then get my little ruler
out, make sure I'm in 60 feet ofthis game.
Yes, 55. Lovely.
So Bragg. Also, where is Bragg?

(33:25):
There he is. He's hidden under the guard #3.
He's the poisoned one with the green ring.
Around he's he's the poisoned one.
That's that's fair. OK.
You know my hidden moniker. Yeah, we got to get the health
back up. We got to get the health back up
here. So I'm going to, I'm going to

(33:46):
use, let's see. Yeah, all my bombs of the summer
quarter gone. But I can use a, a healing
spirit as a bonus action and I could cleanse your poison.
So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to use lesser
restoration. Just kidding.

(34:08):
That's a touch. OK, you're going to die.
Sorry, pal, I'm going to. I'm just going to heal you.
Poison on. All right.
Off, poison. On.
You're you're just going to be poisoned, my friend.
All right, so I'm using a a healing word rank 3 on you might
concern to brag and brag. The healing word is going to be

(34:33):
eucalyptus. What are those?
I don't know, I heard in a book somewhere.
Dice roll. That's a 18 heel to you, Sir.
Oh, you're a St. Swamp mommy.
And then for my next trick, let me just make sure Thea won't get
one shot here. Let's her help that 27.

(34:54):
OK, panic. Yeah, I'm going to heal Thea
with my other heel. Who are you worried about her
getting one shot by? Jack off can't do much damage.
And and you still have the bottom guard 2 with a cannon.
You have a cannon at the top right is what I'm worried about.
Yeah, that's that's I I agree the fire elemental blocked it

(35:16):
the first time, but he's no longer in the path.
Yeah, I'm worried about that cannon.
So I'm gonna heal the for a bonus action.
OK. And that's gonna be a Healing
Word first, Frank, because I can't use any higher for a bonus
action. And that Healing Word is going
to be papaya. Papaya, papaya.

(35:37):
And that heals for 10. Thank you.
You're welcome. And then I'm going to Crouch
behind this table. OK, that's important.
Nokomis, you are. We're going to call that half
cover as you are crouched behindthat table, which I believe is
going to give you an extra +2 toyour AC at anything shot at you.

(35:59):
Excellent. Let me double check my cover
rules. Half cover?
Yep, +2 bonus to AC and deck saving throws.
Thank you baby Jesus. Because it is that mob of guards
in the northeast corner that areon the cannon, and just like
what they were doing before, they use their bonus action as a

(36:20):
group to load up that cannon andthey are taking a shot aimed at
Thea with Nokomis in the line offire there.
Why do I keep doing this? I I let you place yourself where
you wanted to be. OK, They're taking a shot at you

(36:41):
guys. The canon's got a + 6 to hit 16.
Does 16 hit either of you? Nope, not with my +2 AC.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fucking kill me already.
OK. I thought you had higher AC than
that. No, when I have the great sword
out I don't have the shield, so it's 16.

(37:03):
With the the shield I have 18 but I can't use the grey sword
two hands. OK 8 D 10 for the cannon each.
Right. Fingers crossed, Burnett ones.
Oh no, I think he's. Going to die.
Nokomis healed her a little bit. Here we go.

(37:24):
Oh man. Oh, that's a lot of dice.
I felt that is a lot of dice. 1111110 No.
There's a couple 10s in. There if I if I leave the
discord, it's not the power. Yeah.
What is your elephant? It's 37.
The 2 + 10 + 10 + 7 + 9 all together that cannon hits you

(37:48):
for 52 damage. Oh man.
The this cannonball slams into your shoulder, fully dislocates
your shoulder out of the socket, spins you around, and you crash
to the floor. A comus.
The cannonball travels through Thea and essentially shatters

(38:11):
the table that you are crouched behind, and the cannonball
shoots through the floor into the second deck down below.
You hear more screams from belowand your cover is effectively
destroyed there Thea your visiontunnels and everything goes
dark. Could you please give me a

(38:34):
religion check? I.
Miss you. Oh baby.
As you're laying there, searing pain shooting across your
shoulder and chest from this cannonball, your vision
tunneling, you're staring up andyou're watching these giant
fluffy white clouds pass by. And suddenly, leaning over,

(39:00):
looking down, you see the Shabbalooking down at you, hands on
her hips with a very disappointed look on her face.
And she says, well, I'll be damned, that Cannonball was
guided by the jesters themselves.
When are those fucks going to learn that I am the queen of

(39:21):
misfortune, not those little upstart clowns?
If you are still down on your next turn, you will have
advantage on your saving throw. Hell yeah.
Next. I hate those jesters by the way.
She's gone from your vision. You, you black out, but that is

(39:43):
the last thing you say. And Jacon's like, wait, what?
Nara Louine at Initiative 5. That brings us to you.
No thank you, I skipped my turn.OK, mob #3 is going to go.
If you don't mind, the elementalis going to go at #7 Gosh DMS.
Yeah, you're right. Fire elemental at Initiative 7.

(40:05):
Yeah, OK. I'm sorry, I was.
Thinking about the. Defender that he goes after you,
but yeah, no, go ahead fire elemental.
Fire elemental is going to go ahead and touch attack Jack on.
OK, it's. Going to be a + 6 to hit, so I'm
just going to go ahead and roll my fireball, OK?
As in that 20 + 6 hit. Yes, yes.

(40:32):
Do do we want to stop rolling the dice and just say you guys
critically succeed at everythingyou do for the rest of the
session? I think we broke mud.
Just make sure that you know when you kill him you tell Thea
that I I hate him right before Idied.
OK Oh yeah, Halloween. Are you sure you want to steal
Thea's kill? Oh steal it please.

(40:54):
Kill them all. The for for right now, yes.
OK. So it's going to be two D 6 + 3
And how do I crit roll that for him?
It you, you don't have to he he does not have enough health.
Tell us how the fire elemental finishes Jacon.
The fire elemental in Ignan justroars out and nobody but

(41:18):
Narlouine can understand him andhe basically just roars.
Not on my. Watch.
And you just see his claws fly up, uppercut Jackon, and as
Jackon falls to the ground, he lands on Thea's sword.

(41:42):
Ah, if it was anything but a Nat20.
That's two to that 20 times Jackoff, by the way.
I'm aware this guy was just absolutely tea bagged by you
guys. Oh yeah, he was actually kind of

(42:03):
dangerous. Wasn't he worth it?
He was supposed to be. Are you though?
Fire elemental? Is it moving or doing anything
else? Well, he has a bulky attack, so
he has another attack, so he's going to go ahead and use his
speed of 50 feet to go up towards the guards.
Yep, OK. And he's going to basically

(42:25):
engulf them and the cannon and. So yeah, 1D10 first for entering
the space and then make the attack roll.
Yep, that's going to be a four for the initial fire damage.
OK, 12 does a 12 hit. My 12 does hit roll damage.
All damage. OK, that was 12 all together,
including the. No 16 all together. 16 all

(42:48):
together, that's what I needed. OK, got it.
OK. The guards scream as they are
lit up in flames. They are still alive.
They are now engaged with that fire elemental.
Oh, congratulations. From the fire elemental.
That's going to be it for the fire elemental.

(43:09):
OK, now what would you like to do, Narloeen?
So Narloeen and so mechanically the defender goes after me.
So I can't have him load the cannon and me fire.
I have to I have to load it and he has the fire correct?
It has to be your action to loadand his action to fire.
OK, I'm going to yeah, I I guessI got to attack the Vanguard 3

(43:34):
and so the the cannon is still aimed at them, so I won't have
to do that. I will use my action to load the
cannon. OK, they're, they're still
laughing at you. And the group of them like kind
of put their hands on their hipsand they're like, yeah, NAR,
NAR, take another shot. Let's see what the little
Dukling can do. And on that, the Phoenix

(43:58):
defender still on it, Narloween just kind of says some
encouraging words and goes like, let's go Phoenix, rise up, let
him burn. Torque's looking over his
shoulder and says what can your steel defender do?
And the Steel Defender will go ahead and pop off that cannon.
All right, I'm going to go aheadand roll the fire bolt because

(44:19):
it's got plus 6 per hit. That'll work. 14.
Just barely, but yeah, that's a hit on that group of guards.
Go ahead and roll that damage. I'm sorry, that was 10 D 8.
That is 10 D 8. Isn't it 8 D 10s?
Or I'm sorry, yeah, 8 D 10s. OK, let me reroll that.

(44:41):
I'm not sure which is worse. IB 8 is worse than AD 10.
The 8D10 will be only 35 damage. Those are some some unfortunate
rolls. The cannonball rips through
several of the guards as they are torn apart, the others a
Crouch and kind of like, oh, I feel like they they grimace, but

(45:07):
they are on death's door that mob as the cannon explodes among
them. And I think that's going to be
it for me. That's my bonus action and my
action, and I'm not moving anywhere.
Ah, let's see. Yeah, I'm going to stick kind of
where I am. OK, next is Torque.

(45:28):
Thankfully Torque is going to use his movement and his dash.
You all hear this like as his steel defender starts charging S
down to help Bertram and the steel defender just goes
crashing into this massive bodies as Bertram is roaring at

(45:53):
his barbarian rage and all theseguards are slashing and hacking.
Now Torque is mixed up in that mess.
We'll see how that goes. Cork definitely got a charge
attack out of that. Next is going to be one of those
mobs. I'm just curious, was that the
defender's movement or it's kindof combined for them while he's

(46:15):
wearing it? It is so home brewed that
there's no point to look anything up.
It's it's kind of their combinedmovement.
I'm, I was just curious. Mechanically, yeah.
Does it cost? His steel defender.
Yeah, more than you can afford. OK, I have rolled for the mobs

(46:41):
but literally nobody is really close enough to have like a good
view of what's going on down there.
I can see it. No, you definitely can't.
I had a 20 perception. I feel like I should be able to
see across the ship. No, that was for looking over
the railing at the city being shot at.
So I'm saying no to that. OK, we are at the top of the

(47:07):
turn order all of you feel. As Rena continues to crank on
the wheel, pulling it hard to the left.
The entire ship is beginning to move and sway in One Direction,
and the entire ship begins to slightly list to the left.

(47:29):
Pebble just thinks she's gaininga lot of weight.
Everybody gets the slight sense of Vertigo as everything to the
east you're seeing now just the sky and the eastern part of the
upper deck, and to the West you are seeing more of the city
looking straight down towards you.

(47:50):
And the ship is moving faster than you would have thought.
Like buildings of the city beloware moving by at A at a pretty
steady clip as the ship is turning away from the city and
trying to steer away towards it,back toward the castle at the
top of the turn order. That can't happen yet.

(48:10):
OK Thea, it is your turn. Make that death saving throw
with advantage please. OK, 17 that is it. 1-6 US.
Thea, you look around and you see that you are standing ankle

(48:31):
deep in the river waters of the Styx.
And as you look around, I think this is your first time being in
the in the land Between, isn't it?
Alright, I know. Yeah.
Thea you, you see a few things. Standing on your side of the

(48:53):
river you see the shabba. And the shabba is making this
grimacing demonic face across the river and on your side of
the river Styx here in Mortivus plane.
You see standing next to the Shabba is Mortivas himself, the

(49:17):
black cloak pulled around his shoulders, black hood up,
obscuring the face. And you see a number of other
figures standing on your side ofthe river, including a Little
good Berry Bush, Yay, and a number of other gods that Thea

(49:40):
has worshipped or made pledges to throughout her life.
As she has worshipped, as you say, all the gods, There are a
number of them that are standingon your side of the river.
But across the river you see another group, including the
jesters that are on the other side of the river.

(50:04):
And you look down and you find you actually have a rope tied
around your waist, and the gestures and a number of other
jealous gods begin to yank on their side of the rope and you
stagger forward several steps deeper into the waters of the
river. And then in the same instant,

(50:25):
you feel the rope yanked the other direction.
As Beshaba and Pebble and some of your other gods that have
looked favorably on you and are not jealous of your
polytheology, they yank on your side of the river and they pull
you back so that your feet are just in the water as you are
literally strung between two groups of gods in a bout of tug

(50:50):
of war. Pebble was a gun.
Oh my God. Did I say Pebble?
Yes. I'm sorry, I meant bark.
You look at bark. But you also see the spirit of
your friends there helping pull on the road.
Yeah. Pebble and Braggrenier,
Narlueen, all of them, like in spirit, are there somehow

(51:10):
helping. I didn't make a mistake.
You all misheard. Braggrenier, that brings us to
you. Oh mud.
Oh, mud. Now please do keep in mind you
have the poisoned condition so that.
Gives me disadvantage, correct? Yes.

(51:30):
OK. So when you have the poisoned
condition, you have disadvantageon attack rolls and ability
checks. OK.
Can I give him a bardic? None.
What? Wait for your turn.
So, so to my friends, to my allies, I thought speech, I'm

(51:52):
sorry if this is a bad idea, Bragrenier.
Bragrenier is going to look at Devon and say, you stacked the
deck once, Devon, let's see how you like it when I shuffle and
I'm going to crack open the cardof many things.

(52:13):
Oh my God. Oh fuck me so.
Happy. Right now, running through
Braggoneer's head. Running through my head right
now. Devon almost killed me in one
one exchange. I saw Thea take a cannonball and
go down, and I don't know if she's alive or dead.

(52:36):
The guards behind are behind me.Devon's in front of me.
I see Bertram off to the side surrounded by people and I, I
see, well, I know that they're firing cannons onto the city and
I know we, we can't waste any more time.
And that is Braggoneer's motive for doing this.

(52:59):
Whoa. OK, OK, here's what I need.
I need everybody to say a 5 minute, 5 minutes.
That's what I need. Muds like I was not expecting.
That Do you remember when you thought we were going to finish

(53:20):
this arc today? We are finishing this arc today.
Everybody please take a hot 5 and we will be back in 5
minutes. And, and I apologize to everyone
for the gamble, but Greg Rener is the cleft though.
I got to, I got to pull up a fewthings here, so I need a couple

(53:41):
minutes. You guys talk amongst
yourselves. I am going to mute and deafen if
there is anything you want to discuss amongst yourselves as
you're preparing for this. You all see Brag Rener pull the
little card case out of his pocket.
Normally Tolton, I would have you randomly pulling one of

(54:01):
these cards out from my hands, but because we are playing
virtually we we do have to do this a little bit different.
So I need you to pick a card between 1 and 22.
My heart's beating for him. I know.
Wait, no, my heart stopped. Sorry.

(54:23):
Let's go with 20. That was my number in high
school, 20. OK 11121314151617181920.
Now my hand is shaking. I know we're.
Going to get a picture of this card.
It's just a regular playing card, but.

(54:50):
I don't like that one. What's funny is I think that
laugh is beneficial to us. I think he's sitting there like
holy crap, what are the odds? At least I'm hoping.
Did we get a bell? Nor.
You did not. Can you give us, can you give us
like a hints at it, like tease it up?

(55:12):
Do we still have a brag? Don't don't just straight out
say I'm gone. You need narrate what happens
and we'll we'll hold out the cards.
And you've got a. Issue of clubs, This is not the
worst card. I didn't look, so I don't know.
Brag Grenier, please roll 1D4. That is A1.

(55:38):
I mean. That's that's what you.
Want this was already your dump.Yeah, this is going to be so
interesting narratively. The card you look at it and the
picture on the card is of the idiot I knew.

(56:01):
You permanently reduce your intelligence by one D 4 + 1.
So in your case, your intelligence is permanently
reduced by two. Now as you look at the card and
bragrenier like kind of looks atit with this like the what

(56:26):
what's happening? Your intelligence goes for our
our listeners at home, from A10 to an 8.
And in that moment, another cardmaterializes in the case
magically created by the power of the deck, with this even only

(56:49):
being one card now. Braggrenier with an intelligence
of eight, holding the case in one hand, holding the idiot card
in your other hand. As you feel your intelligence
draining away, you look at the case and you realize there's
another card in there, narratively fragrantier.

(57:13):
It is up to you if you would like to draw another card with
your new -1 intelligence. I I feel like despite the
intelligence loss, with his wisdom he knows that he still
needs a way to win this fight, so he's going to do it again.

(57:40):
As. The.
ADA card dissolves in your hand and flits away on the wind.
You look down and oh look, there's another card.
Please choose a number between. I'm going to reshuffle this.
Please pick a card between 1 and21. 15 From From the outside

(58:01):
everyone sees Brad Rainier startto drool and his veins on his
forehead start to get like really intense and he pulls out
the next card while muttering. I will beat you, Devon.
789101112131415. What is it?

(58:29):
It's not as funny, so it's not as good.
Uh huh. I have fear.
Two of spades is balance bragrenier.
Your mind suffers A wrenching alteration, causing your

(58:49):
alignment to change. Lawful becomes chaotic, Good
becomes evil, and vice versa. If you are true neutral or
unaligned, this card has no effect on you.
Oh my gosh. Your alignment.
But where is that background chaotic good?

(59:11):
That means brag Grenier, as you are looking at the card of
balance, your vision blurs. And you like grab your head.
The card burns up in your hands. The case with the Deck of Many
Things card clatters to the ground, empty.

(59:33):
And you hear this cackling, laughing as you are holding your
head in your hands. And you are now officially
Lawful Evil. Oh boy.

(59:54):
Ragrenier, you are driven by a rigid coder system.
It all is clicking into place inyour brain.
However twisted it might seem tosomeone else, you are going to
use this rigid code to your advantage, often exploiting

(01:00:14):
others to gain power or achieve your goals.
Being Lawful Evil means Braggrenier is going to be more
calculating, more organized, more tyrannical, prioritizing
the system of laws that exist inthe land above all else, even
above morality. Some examples of what this might

(01:00:38):
look like. Darth Vader is one of the most
popular Lawful Evil characters in pop culture.
Awful evil are typically tyrants, corrupt officials,
those who follow strict laws butconduct it up to a point of evil
with 0 emotional intelligence orempathy.

(01:00:59):
Bragrenier is. Would lawful evil?
Would Thanos be Lawful Evil? I believe Thanos was considered
lawful evil. So so Bragrenier is now
calculating and stupid. This is not a good combination.
Yeah. So like Thanos, this is just an
example, like for our listeners who are like, I don't know what

(01:01:20):
any of this means. What's chaotic good?
What's lawful evil? Thanos, like Darth Vader,
another good example of lawful evil.
He had a strict code of conduct that he followed.
He had a set goal and objective that he was trying to
accomplish. He was just doing it through the
most like awful way possible, through like mass genocide of,

(01:01:41):
you know, snapping his fingers and deleting 1/2 of the
universe. But he considered what he was
doing was good as a way of undoing overpopulation of the
universe. So in his, again, his own kind
of like twisted calculating methodology was I have to do

(01:02:01):
evil to accomplish the greater good kind of thought.
So yes, Thanos, great example oflawful evil and.
I said it because I I've never watched Star Wars or Star Trek,
so Darth Vader didn't do anything for me and I just spent
a couple minutes looking up lawful evil at what it means and

(01:02:22):
I got like Doctor Doom and like a couple other like examples.
Yeah, Marvel loves their Lawful Evil characters.
Magneto. Magneto is another great example
of Lawful Evil. Yeah.
OK, All right. Wow, that is a turn Bry Grenier
I I'm I'm kind of. Going to hold action.

(01:02:45):
Action and all of the effects ofthis are kind of your turn here.
I will say you have a bonus action available to you as your
whole world view shifts and clicks into place with now being
a -1 Intelligence. Unless we forget the first card

(01:03:10):
that was pulled. Don't forget the potion.
Brag. Yeah, no Brag is going to chug
the potion in his in his pouch and.
As as you do and some of the stabbing wounds from Devon begin

(01:03:33):
to stitch and heal a Pebble and gnarloen.
Standing there next to Bragg yousee spectrally stretching out
from Braggrenier's back thick leathery black wings like demon
wings coming from his back as a asimar, a typically heavenly

(01:04:00):
being. Actually, for a moment you see
the vision of these leathery batlike demon wings stretch out
from Braggrenier's back and thenslowly dissipate back to the
ethereal as Braggrenier finishesdrinking that potion.
Forgot about that. Are you?

(01:04:22):
Are you a bat? I might be, I don't know, I've
never thought about that. I rolled MY2D4 for the potion.
I got 5 + 2 as we do rolls, right?
So on this accent yield all right and I will end my turn.

(01:04:45):
Sorry that was so long team. Can I do something?
I mean see seeing the dark wingsor whatever.
I don't know if that would be a history or perception or like
try to understand what that whatI what I just saw from bragging
here. That would be.
AI feel like like narla ween would have some kind of almost

(01:05:05):
reaction to it. Yeah, I will say you can do
either a history on nature or gosh, I guess a religion, your
choice. Let's see all, all religion.
I mean, I could, I think we do ahistory kind of like as a elf

(01:05:27):
who's been alive for 200 years, just seeing, you know, spectral
wings growing from an Asimar a 19.
Yeah, OK. You have, you know, you, you
obviously, you know of Asimar. They are kind of like kitsune.
They are a more rare race. They are not nearly as populous

(01:05:50):
as things like humans and elves and dwarves and dragonborn.
You what you see extending from his back, you know, what you're
seeing is something that's almost more metaphysical rather
than literal. And as you're looking and and
you're you're feeling this kind of darkly radiant energy extend

(01:06:15):
from Braggrenier after having drawn that card mechanically, I
will say wings for an Asimar aretypically non functional.
They are kind of like having a tail.
They don't really give you any like innate ability unless we
kind of talk more about that. As Braggrenner continues to
level up, the wings may become more less metaphysical and more

(01:06:39):
literal, more physical. But what you are seeing is the
surge of Asimar power radiate out from Braggrenier in this
moment. And that would narratively make
sense that his Asimar heritage would be at conflict a little
bit with this new alignment thathe goes through.

(01:07:03):
And as the the demonic like wings are stretching out from
him and then dissipate. You definitely, with that role,
get the sense that there's something kind of dark now about
Braggrenier, kind of in the sameway there was there's something

(01:07:26):
a little dark about Thea with her black tail.
Yes, I would kind of just react and go like Bragg.
Are you feeling OK, buddy? Is that point?
Is that poison getting to you? I look, I look over at Narloeen
and I lift my shredded arm and Isay, I, I, you know, not really.

(01:07:50):
I'm telling him to showing. All right, Next up is Devon the
Grin. Devon is going to take a stab at
Pebble. Pebble.
Yeah. Does Devon notice the the

(01:08:13):
intelligence change in Bragrenier?
How does Devon react? Devon sees like you drawing the
cards and he also sees the Spectra wings and he starts
laughing and he goes, hey Bragrenier, having any second
thoughts about my offer? You could be my heir apparent.

(01:08:35):
We could end these do gutters that you've allied yourself for
some reason with. We could end all of them.
This wedding can turn right backaround and be right back on
track. I I promise you, I can get Rena
to say I do to me, and I could rapidly.

(01:08:58):
He looks over his shoulder and goes like Jacon's dead, Frank's
dead. You guys have killed my second
in commands. I need a new second in command.
Bregrenner, that could be you. And then once I'm the Duke of
the Silver Moon Estates, I need an heir.
And who better than one of the boys that came up in the streets

(01:09:22):
with me to become the heir apparent for me as the Duke of
the Silver Moon Province? You know, Devon, throughout my
childhood I looked up to you andand then you left me and I
started to question you and how.You.
Asked us. I was caught, yeah.

(01:09:45):
That's on you. Don't put that on.
Me from that jail cell. Was the lock in your way?
Did you not have any thieves that could open a lock?
You know you. Can't say I left you when you
didn't come for me, but I will. Say the juice wasn't.
I like the squeeze. I like what you're doing, but

(01:10:06):
you just went about it so wrong. It's not the.
It's not the right way to get what you want.
And what is the right way to getwhat you want?
Braggrenier. My way.
Roll me a we're going to call this.
Intimidation. Or yeah.

(01:10:28):
Go ahead, roll intimidation. Oh, it almost landed on a 17.
That's a. That's an 11.
OK, he grins and says, you know, brag.
I just don't think you're quite thinking straight.
And with that, he is going to make a stab at Pebble, which I

(01:10:52):
had rolled. I thought you.
Forgot about me. No I didn't, Pebble does an 18
hit. I can't remember with your
stones. Just barely.
OK. Pebble, you are going to take
eight points of piercing cut in half to 4.

(01:11:12):
And. Devon looks at you, brag, and
says really brag. Think about it, you're a
follower, not a leader, and Devon is going to use his
movement as he jumps up onto thetable, runs towards the center,

(01:11:34):
looks to the north up where Renais, looks to the left, and then
looks and goes, oh hey there Nokomis.
And standing on top of the table, Nokomis he is going to
make with his hand crossbow in his other hand.

(01:11:55):
Take a shot at you, Nakomis. You see Devon standing up on the
table looking down, aiming his hand crossbow at you.
He he's looking down, aiming down his wrist and he says,
you've been a real pain in my ass, Druid.
I'm so glad to be painful to you.

(01:12:16):
I don't know what you did with Parsival, but I'm going to send
you somewhere where he can meet you later.
Those are big words for a small man.
Does a dirty 20 hit. Yes, but I I have Bartok
inspiration or or or heroic. Does that help?
No, that's for that's like Bartok, that's a.

(01:12:36):
That's a role. Yeah, that's for what you that's
not for your AC. Why not?
Yeah, I have 15 ACS, so that that's going to hit me.
OK, you take 10 points of piercing damage.
Thankfully he did not crit. So part of the the set up here
is he has high ground on you being up on the table.

(01:13:01):
That is what gave him his advantage for shooting down at
you. But he did not crit.
But he is going to use his sneakattack.
Off our swamp mommy. As he aims between the the armor
interlocking on your new armor that you just got down in the
city, your anti and necrotic damage armor, he rolls 6D6 and

(01:13:26):
does an additional 24 sneak attack damage.
Is that all you got, little man?Let me let me look here.
Bring it on, cupcake. Oh, that.
'D make a good healing word. What we're going to do pastries

(01:13:46):
next time? Yeah.
Yeah, he that's OK. I know he has to do that.
He he has to use his bonus action to apply the poisoning so
he does not have poison on the attack.
Yeah, I know. That's it.
That's that's the damage. Well, maybe next time he could

(01:14:08):
try a little harder. I mean, I'm still alive, little
bitch. Devon grins as the shot is
sticking from between the the interlocking plates of your
armor. And he goes, oh, we'll just see,
and he pulls back the draw bow on his crossbow and loads
another bolt into it. How many of these you can

(01:14:31):
handle, Nicomas? Now it is Pebble's turn.
I'm going to turn to a Raven andPeck out his fucking eyes.
Everybody wants. A piece of Devon.
Well, you know what Pebbles going to do.
What's Devil going to do? She's going to run up, hop up on
the table right up, you know, stinky face right up in Devon's

(01:14:55):
back and attack. Obviously I'm going to roll.
Yeah, recklessly, of course. All right, that's a 25 hit.
Sure does. I'm assuming a 19 also hits.
Yes it does. 1212 damage for thefirst hit.
Wait hold on. Hello. 14 for the first hit I
forgot to add my rage, and 15 for the second hit.

(01:15:20):
Then I'm going to go for an offhand attack with with
advantage. Either way, 15 hit. 15 does it.
OK, nine more damage. OK.
How's he looking? Pebble, go ahead and finish
Devon the Grin. Oh, oh I will.
I grabbed my rope from over my shoulder, toss it to Bragg and

(01:15:42):
say he's yours. I see the rope coming at me from
Pebble, and I catch it in one hand and I look at it and then I
shake my head, getting back intoit and I I whisper to it.
Remember my deal, braggart? The rope comes alive and I look
at Devon and I say. I made you a good offer,

(01:16:03):
Braggrenier. I already told you you thought
you escaped the gallows, but those aren't the only nooses
you'll find. And the rope flies towards him,
wrapping around his neck in thick, heavy coils, and floats
up into the air 30 feet. So you guys see as Devon, the

(01:16:25):
grin, the rope wraps around his neck, Pebble having slashed and
hacked into him, and the ropes perfectly line up with the old
bruising that now is very apparent up along his neck.
And Devon gags and chokes. His eyes bulge.

(01:16:46):
And as the rope animates and floats upward, Devon kicks his
feet feebly, reaching nothing for purchase.
And he drops his crossbow, he drops his rapier.
He claws at his neck with his hands.
And he keeps clawing and he keeps clawing and his fingers

(01:17:06):
are just raking bloody gashes down his neck as he chokes and
is being hung by the noose. And you hear him cough out, this
isn't what you promised. And his fingers continue to claw
and gouge into his neck and gouge into his throat.

(01:17:31):
And he begins ripping and tearing at his own neck above
the coils of rope. And with his own hands, he grabs
at his own esophagus, ripping atit, grabbing at his own spinal
cord attached to his skull. And his hands in this gory
display, reach grab, and you hear vertebrae snap as his head

(01:17:52):
cranks to the side. And he rips at his own head with
his hands and the body falls into a bloody heap on the ground
under the noose hanging from thesky.
His head hits the table next to you, Pebble and rolls to a stop,
the mouth still gaping, eyes wide as Devon looks up at you.

(01:18:17):
I pick up the head. Yamez as our wonderful editor,
please. Cue the Latin choir music.
That one. Devon's body slowly begins to
stand, and the body convulses once as gore gushes from the

(01:18:41):
open neck wound where the head used to be, and out from the
chest cavity of Devon. The grin.
This slimy skittering horror claws its way out of him, a
single large glowing golden eye on its forehead as it pulls up

(01:19:06):
and out out of this thing. It looks like a giant centipede
with multiple like 20 or 30 armsripping and tearing at the body
of Devon as it pulls up out of his body.
And this aberration roars, this spittling cry of triumph as it
crawls free of his body, and it sets that golden eye on Pebble.

(01:19:31):
Pebble, please make it. What are you?
Looking at OH 9. I don't know how all of you feel
about what I just described, butit's horrific.
Pebble. You're watching this desecrated
body of Devon, the grin, as thisinsectoid creature, this

(01:19:53):
aberration, and it comes crawling out of the body and it
roars and spittles, tentacles waving from its mouth as its eye
sets on you. And you suffer from its madding
presence. As the horror of seeing Devon
tear and clawed his own head andRIP his own head off.

(01:20:17):
You are paralyzed until the end of your next turn.
OK. A comas you are also within
range. Could you please give me a
Wisdom saving throw? You got to do better than me.
I would love to. I got a step in.

(01:20:37):
Oh my God. The one thing I'm good at is
wisdom. What the fuck?
You have inspiration. Yeah, you have.
Inspiration. Do you have inspiration?
Do you roll for your inspiration?
What dice is it? It's the heroic you gave.
I think you said D8I wasn't, I can't remember.
You did say D8. OK, if you rolled A7, I'm going

(01:20:59):
to be nice. I'm going to tell you right now,
AD 8 will not cut it. So that'll.
Roll it anyway. I rolled an 8.
OK, so that puts you at 15. That is still a fail.
OK. Does anybody have anything that
they could add to Nakomis's ability check?

(01:21:20):
Yeah, I mean, I'm going to go ahead and flash from Genius M.
OK. +3. So that makes it an 18.
Nikolas. Please describe to us all how
you react to seeing this displayfrom Devon and the creature that

(01:21:42):
crawls out of his corpse, and how you resist the madding
paralysis of seeing this chaos creature come crawling out of
the dead man's. Corpse Nacomas looks at this and
is immediately kind of stunned, but quickly shakes it off with
her head. She's seen worse.

(01:22:03):
She knows what Chaos looks like.Need I remind you, back in the
early episodes she's witnessed chaos first hand and almost died
to it. Though this is of no
significance, she knows deep down, somewhere there's that
little crying scared bitch boy underneath the surface.
Still there. Jacon is dead, Nakomis.
That makes it your turn actually, so we'll we'll just

(01:22:26):
pick it up right from there. You've seen chaos beings, you've
seen chaos creatures. You are not paralyzed by the
presence of this chittering chaos shit bug thing.
What is Nakomis doing? Yeah, Nakomis looks at this
thing, shakes her head. She spits on the ground next to

(01:22:47):
it and she's going to back up a little bit and go over and heal
Thea one SEC. Actually.
Yes, yes. OK, I can actually heal.
Hear me out. I can actually heal Theo from
here. OK, I'm.
Going to use the healing word third level on Thea and we're

(01:23:09):
going to go with stone is the healing one.
As you speak stone to Thea, yourvision double S and overlaps,
and you find yourself there in Mortivas's realm, with a rope in
your hands, with Thea being yanked in both directions,

(01:23:34):
staggering back and forth in theRiver Styx.
There in Mortivas's land, Mortivas standing off to the
side in the river, watching the tug of war between these gods
for Thea's soul. And you are there next to bark,
and you also see Luna, the moon goddess is there helping.

(01:23:57):
What does Nokomis do as that healing word takes effect?
Mechanically, Thea, you're goingto jump up with 21 hit points.
But narratively, Nokomis, you'vegot the rope there.
What does Nokomis do in the in Mortivus's plane?
Watching Thea in this tug of war?
I look out and see all this transpiring and you know, have

(01:24:22):
understand the situation becauseI've been there before many
moons that go in this realm. So yes, the double vision is at
first a little trippy and lose my balance to the little sense
of Vertigo, but quickly kind of balance myself out and realize
what's going on. Calling out to Thea, Thea, Thea.

(01:24:44):
Come with me, Thea, this isn't your place.
Thea, you seen a comus there on the shore?
What does Thea say back? Nikom Nikomis, you're here.
Please please please help me. Thea, take my hand.
We got to get out of here. I grabbed Nikomis hand, grab it

(01:25:07):
tightly. As as you do Nikomis, with your
combined strength with everything else and your healing
word pouring into Thea, you yankon her arm and all of the gods
on Thea's side of the river heave at the same time.
And Thea comes staggering into your arms and both of you
stumble backwards and land backwards on the shore.

(01:25:31):
And your vision snaps back to reality.
Thea you gasping for air on yourback, staring up at the clouds
above you and the comas. Your vision writes itself and
you are just back on the airship.
You have saved Thea and the chaos creature is chittering
there to your left Echoes. I think you still have like an

(01:25:52):
action and your movement. Is there something I?
Sure do. What wouldn't echoes like to do?
Healer heal myself. Actually, no, I'm going to jaunt
30 feet to the South ish, which should put me right at the top

(01:26:14):
of that table. Kind of.
I'm going to hide behind this table, OK.
But first I think I'm, I think I'm going to rain.
I'm going to try to heal Bertram.
OK, yeah, so you're running for our listeners.
You you run S down the main aisle, wetting pedals, crushing
under your feet as you run down that main throughway between the

(01:26:37):
tables, down the deck. Bertram is definitely within
range. What are you casting on them?
I actually have to get up on thetable to eat.
I'm a little bit out of range, but.
I'll give it to you. You're you're, you're there.
You got, you got the, you're in range.
Yeah, I'm going to heal him for actually, I'm going to use a

(01:26:59):
healing spirit down there because I could do that for a
bonus action. OK, let me cast that puppy and
at the second level that healed for five.
As you are looking down there you see the swarm of Devon's
guards are all like stabbing andhacking at Torque in his steel

(01:27:22):
defender and behind them as you heal Bertram he had not gotten
to his death saving throws yet. You see Bertram like the the one
WWE fighter, the grave riser or something like he comes from
laying. Prone on his undertaker.
Yeah, Undertaker, thank you. Like sits upright, a wild look

(01:27:44):
in his eye, and he gets back up on his feet and Bertram is back
alive. Hell yeah.
And torque is also healed, I believe, by your spirit.
Because it's a radius effect youhave.
Torque looks over his shoulder and he.
Goes. Ah Nakomis, excellent use of

(01:28:05):
multiple healing abilities, that's what.
That was a very clutch movement on your part there, my dear
lady. I think you're torque touching
outfit you have on I think. Oh yes, this is my steel
defender. He's quite impressive, isn't he?
As he like shoves one of like the iron Spears through a
guard's head, and he goes look and he like lifts it up and like

(01:28:26):
shakes the body like a marionette.
Nikomas couldn't help but laugh.Yeah, you got a little bit of a
darker side. I see you.
I got a good. Thanks a lot, Mommy.
Anything else you're doing there?
No, I'm just going to grab a plate off this table.

(01:28:47):
I, I, I don't know why, I'm justgoing to do it.
OK, add a add a fine silver dishto your inventory.
And that is my turn. Rena looks over her shoulders.
Like, are you literally stealingthe silverware at my wedding?
OK, next is one of the Tyra. Please roll some fire damage for

(01:29:12):
them, they are on fire. That will be A7.
OK, they're dead. They they all scream and cook in
their armor and fall dead to theground in the northeast corner.
Next up is yeah, that was Mop 2.Next up is the fire elemental

(01:29:35):
proper. What's fire elemental doing?
Well, he's going to go ahead andrun and he's too far away, so I
guess dash. I don't see anything about
movement in the elemental stablock, but I assume dash is
an option. Yeah, they would use its action
to dash. Yeah.

(01:29:56):
So he is going to go ahead and run right at that chittering
chaos get and just engulf it now.
Actually not engulf it. Does that presence, does that
affect friendlies in its area? Like would Pebble be affected by
that? So he can change his shape

(01:30:17):
however he wants to. He can move through a space of
narrows and into that squeezing. So I was going to say he's
actually going to go on the side.
So if he's giving space for Pebble to still attack but yeah
he he's just going to be hittinghim while leaving it nothing him
exposed for other attacks. Mainly attacks against the
tutoring sheet. 10 for the fire damage.

(01:30:40):
Oh yeah, you know what? 2 damages, 2 damage.
And is he? Let's see, is he a creature or a
clamble object? Yeah.
So he ignites. Yes he is a aberration so he he
would ignite and it screeches asit catches fire.

(01:31:05):
OK I believe that is it for fireelemental and Narleen.
It is now your turn proper. I'm going to go ahead and attack
the guards with some bolt. OK, that group of guards is on
death's door. They're going to go ahead and
launch one shot from the crossbow right at them.

(01:31:28):
It's going to be an 11. And a net 20 + 9 the. 20s a hit.
God damn your guys is not 20s tonight.
No shit. Hell yeah, I don't.
I don't think you could not killthem, but yeah, go ahead and
roll your damage. That's an 18.

(01:31:51):
OK, yes those guards as you fireat them, several of them were
blown away by the cannonball andyou just pick off the last few
with some well placed shots. That is the end of that swarm of
guards that were trying to use that cannon.
You instead took from them anything with your movement or

(01:32:13):
bonus action. Yeah, what's the range on the
cannons again, distance wise? The hell they.
Have like at least 120 feet. They have a range of 600 feet.
So I am going to go ahead and stay here, but the steel
defender will load the cannon OKand then run towards the

(01:32:39):
chittering Chaos Jet. You were the defender.
The defender. OK.
And I think that I had said before, normally it's like your
action to move the cannon. Yeah, no, OK, my swarms were
behaving differently. So it it would take a action to
move the cannon to aim it. Yep.

(01:33:02):
OK. I just want to make sure you
knew that before you sent your steel defender away.
Yeah, I have a plan. OK.
If you've got a plan then that'sgreat.
Anything else? Narla Wing.
That's going to be it for me. OK, Next up is Torque and roll a

(01:33:23):
couple things for Torque here and Nakomis.
You watch as Torque's defender that he is piloting just
continues to swing its arm and like the the loader arms that
like grab things, they're like grabbing guards heads and like
crushing them in its hands, kindof like the way that kids do

(01:33:46):
when they like close one eye andlike pinch people's heads
between their fingers. Torque's steel defender just
absolutely wipes out one of the mobs of guards that had been
attacking Bertram. So they are dead.
The other mob, they look out andthey see this chittering chaos.
They see the dead body. I mean, they don't see shit.

(01:34:09):
They're just scared. They're they're getting
massacred. Bertram is more than they
bargained for. And then stop moving.
My guards, Tork and Bertram, both let out these primal roars
at them, and those guards take off running.
They skitter around the corner and they begin to run.
South out of sight if it was thestart of Tork's turn, if he was

(01:34:31):
damaged, he would get healed because he was near these
healing spirit. No, they missed him.
He did not actually take any damage, but it was still good to
have down there. It helps.
It is Bertram Stern, so Bertram is going to get healed.
What is the role for that? That is a 1D6.

(01:34:52):
Yeah, go ahead and roll me AD 6 for Bertram.
He's at five hit points right now.
He. Heals for. 4 He's at nine hit
points. I got some healing potions for
my boy birdie. Bertram Stern, he watches those
guards like run around the corner and he yells cowards at
them and turns. He and Tork do like the Predator

(01:35:13):
handshake as they like clasped forearms.
And. You know, like Bertram goes.
I would never normally admit it,but I love having you nerdy
types here at the Palace. And Bertram is going to use his
movement and his dash and just flipping a table up over its end

(01:35:35):
out of his way. Bertram uses his bonus action,
goes into a rage, and he is running straight up the aisle.
And he's right there next to Nokoma, standing on a table.
And he is rushing up to join thefight against the Chaos monster.
And we are at the top of the turn order.

(01:35:56):
Which brings us to Thea. What up, girl?
Oh, yes, thanks. Thank you so much Swap Mommy, I
love you. Feeling is mutual.
Oh man OK so once I got up and Isee Jack off on my sword.

(01:36:19):
Man, it was so worth it and now I see this shooting chaos thing
and I'm very confused as to whatjust happened.
But yeah, I'm going to Eldridge blast this thing.

(01:36:39):
Yeah, let's go. Does a 23 hit.
Definitely Chaos Bolt wraps around the fire elemental and
blasts into this chittering thing, and it staggers once it's
soft. Squishy insectile body gushes
gore onto the deck as this bolt hits it.

(01:37:01):
Roll your damage. Yeah, so it's two beams.
So I get to roll 2. It's it's 2 detents.
Two holes blast into it, gushingtwo holes worth of guts onto the
floor. Yeah.
So one that's going to be 9 and the other one be a Thor.
So 13 damage and then I'm going to bonus action use harness

(01:37:27):
divine power. You you can expend the use of
your channel divinity to feel your spells.
As a bonus action, you touch your holy symbol, utter a prayer
and regain 1 expended spell slotto the level, which can be no
higher than half your proficiency bonus rounded up.
So it's going to be a level 2 yes.
So I'm going to use that so I can get second level spell slot

(01:37:49):
back. Bad ass.
Oh man, then click that and yes,I'm going to stand right here.
And that that ends by turn. OK, brag Grenier, that's going
to bring us to you. I am going to run over to

(01:38:11):
Pebble. Yes.
Pebble is frozen in place. And I am going to use lesser
restoration. Touch a creature and can end
either one disease or one condition.
Condition can be. Paralyzed.
Yeah. Hell yeah.

(01:38:32):
Yes, how? How do you?
Shake Pebble out of it. Pick me up and throw me.
My my little lawful evil Azimar Bard.
God damn, now I'm evil. I'm gonna, I'm going to smack
me. Yeah, I'm going to smack her on
the back of the head and be like, what are you doing?

(01:38:53):
Get in the fight. Why are you just standing here?
And then I am going to, I believe I moved 22 feet and I
have 30 feet. So I'm going to go ahead and
jump off the table. I jumped on to smack pedal and
drop down right there. OK, and that will end my turn.

(01:39:19):
Next up is our aberration of a chittering chaos.
Shit, I'm. No longer paralyzed, Correct
you. Are no longer paralyzed.
And let's see here, brag Grenier.
It turns that golden eye to you.Could you please give me that

(01:39:41):
Wisdom saving throw? As I do, I say that that that
golden eye looks like it might be worth something.
And I. Rolled up to 15.
Earl of 16. Sorry, brag Grenier.
You You watch this golden eye settle on you, and you feel your
knees begin to shake as you stand in the presence of this

(01:40:05):
this thing. Just pure chaos energy straight
from the crippled God manifestedinto this.
Insectoid segmented arms and like just chomping mouth parts
and you are now paralyzed and the chaos creature is going to

(01:40:30):
do 2 of its claw attacks on the fire elemental.
Nard Lewin. I don't do you?
Do you have your fire elemental pulled up?
I do does it, I just don't have the hit points written down.
I think you had that written down.
I did yes. They are currently at 76 hit
points. Does a 21 and a 30 hit.

(01:40:53):
They do both hit. Were those rolled with
disadvantage? Fucking steel defender.
OK, well, we'll just call that first roll a 21 and a 30.
So the disadvantage is a 21 to hit What?

(01:41:16):
OK, I mean I wrote twice. Well, it's a close modifier.
Fairpoint. It's it's hella, it is.
It is a lot the fire elemental as this thing slashes all of its
tentacled arms and stabbing insectoid arms into the fire

(01:41:37):
elemental. Despite being on fire,
screeching as it burns, it deals30 damage to the elemental.
On one attack or two on one attack.
OK, so the second one missed you're saying?
I have not. Rolled or you didn't roll for.
OK, OK, I'm sorry I got I got a little confused.
What kind of damage is this slashing?

(01:41:59):
OK, it's going to be half. To the fire elemental.
OK, so it takes 15 damage. To get resistance to slashing
from non magical attacks. As your little Phoenix Steel
defender bumps into it, it turnsand looks down at your defender
and it's going to make a claw attack at the steel defender

(01:42:20):
with disadvantage. No, no, no.
The disadvantage is only againstthings besides the steel
defender. OK, in that case I assume a 26
hits him. It does.
Yeah, 15 + 11. Your Steel defender takes lots
of dice. 25 points of damage from its second claw attack.

(01:42:48):
OK, I, I want to be clear. Pebble up on the table.
There you were. You were there where Devon was
up on the table. I believe you are out of melee
range from it. So the chittering chaos does
have the ability to move, correct?
Yes. OK.

(01:43:08):
Just mud if you had applied 13 damage to the chittering thing.
For the flame damage. 1D10 for being on fire and 1D10 for
touching me. It did not touch you, it touched
your steel defender. No, no, no.
It hit the mail attack on the elemental.
The elemental OK yes OK yeah great. 13 damage continues to

(01:43:29):
burn. One of its arms is fully lit on
fire and Pyro go ahead and roll an opportunity attack for the
fire elemental as it skidders past the fire elemental and
rushes straight up the aisle N using its full movement crawls

(01:43:51):
into the rubble of the destroyedaltar Pebble smashed out of As
your mom is pulling on the wheelwith all of her strength trying
to turn the ship away from the city.
Still, she looks over her shoulder at this creature that's
raising up and looking down at her.
In the mouth. Parts click and drool, and out

(01:44:15):
of its face it says hello fiance.
Gross. I wouldn't roll that opportunity
attack. Well, that's going to be a 19 +
6. Yeah, that'll hit.
So go ahead and roll the damage.I believe that's it's like touch
attack. So it's 2 D 6 + 3. 1 + 1 + 3 for
five, damn it. Great, it is going to make a

(01:44:39):
biting attack on Rena. You need attacks does this
thing. Have three Yeah, 30 is going to
hit 19 + 11 and it does 4 D 10 +6 as it rears down, mouth open,

(01:45:00):
bites into your mother and she grips onto the wheel of the ship
trying to hold it and she takes 33 points of damage.
The arena is still standing. Whoa, I was wrong.
I thought she had commoner stats.

(01:45:22):
She is not a commoner. OK, no, it was just during the
Hydra fight, like, you know, that was brought up.
I thought, OK, cool. That's a good point and I will
bring this up. A few things changed when she
took off that ring. Narlawein, you can see as you're

(01:45:46):
standing there loading the cannon, you watch as this thing
rushes up and bites into your mother, tearing into her blood,
staining the white wedding dressthat she's wearing.
And she holds onto the wheel, her muscles straining, and she
looks over her shoulder. And she says, you're going to
have to do better than that. And that is going to bring us to

(01:46:10):
Pebble. And gnarly Wendel just kind of
yell in response. Ma, hang on, we're coming.
Go Pebble. Oh well, Pebble's going to do
her thing. Pebble's going to run up to the
chittering shit, which is about 35 foot away.
Then she's going to swing. Swing.
Swing those swings. Yeah, recklessly.

(01:46:33):
OK, does a Nat 20 hit hell? Yeah.
Let me let me roll my crit damage crit.
OK, so something before I roll this damage, something I didn't
do last time with my with my enlarged axes and pyro brought

(01:46:53):
it up to the axes should also double like all damage is
doubled. So when I roll my axe bonus
damage that should also that should be 2D fours right?
All dice rolls are doubled, yourmodifier is not.
So yes, in this case. OK, yeah, yeah.
Be doubled. OK.

(01:47:13):
I did not do that last time. I'll remember to do that this
time. Shame on you bad stupid idiot.
Barbarian girl do better. 19 damage for the first hit.
OK, rolling again does an 18 hit.
It does. OK, rolling damage, that's 11

(01:47:37):
for that hit. OK, and I'm going to go ahead
and bonus swing. My final does not hit.
I've got a nine. Yeah, that's a miss.
Surely because yeah, I'm, I had rolled A1 and a three, yeah.
OK. All right.

(01:47:59):
And yeah, that's that's her turn.
She spits on it. Like your axes cleave several
legs off, you're chopping and hacking in this thing's tail end
is just thrashing and kicking back and forth and legs trying
to stay up on the rocky rubble of the altar as it's still

(01:48:19):
biting into Rena. And you're just chopping off
legs left and right. And that is going to bring us to
Nokomis. Hello, friends.
Nokomis runs up a little bit closer.
Where? Where's that person?
OK, I see them now. They're over there.
They're chattering. Yeah, if you could put me right.

(01:48:39):
But. Oh, that table's blown up, isn't
it? Yeah, that's the one where the
cannonball hit. Well, then put me.
Can you put me on the left? On the left table, if you don't
mind. Yeah.
Like that. That's good.
Somewhere. That's fine.
That's fine. I'm sure they'll come around and
kill me. My quick health checks Thea
you're alive. It's good enough for me.

(01:49:00):
I'm I'm going to I'm going to you're welcome.
I'm going to heal myself because.
Yeah, just heal. Yourself.
Good call. Pebble Pebble is fine.
They have 67 health or somethingso I'm going to heal myself for
rank 3A. Healing Word is going to be
tacos. Delicious fire elemental looks

(01:49:25):
over its shoulder and gives you like the OK sign.
I healed myself for 16. Sweet.
All right, and Bertram, I'm going to heal him for my bonus
action with my Healing Word rankone.
Don't forget your healing spirit's still up.
Oh fuck, you're right. I'm going to move my healing
spirit spirit 30 feet upward. OK.

(01:49:46):
I believe that's your bonus action to move there, right?
You're right, actually. You know what?
Let that thing die. It's going to.
It'll still heal Bertram for. Being it won't heal him for
enough, it won't heal him for enough, I'm going to just let it
die back there and break the concentration.
It's only it's going to expire in a turn anyway, it doesn't
really matter. So it did its job.
I'm going to heal Bertram the Red though, because I'm still

(01:50:07):
within 30 meters. Yeah, well.
You're you're. Close enough.
I'm 60. I'm 6 to Healing Word 60, not
30. OK.
Yeah, you're good. I'm.
Going to heal him for a rank oneor and that healing word is
going to be enchilada. The fire elemental holds up a
second hand and an OK sign, but yeah.

(01:50:28):
I heal Bertram for 10. Sweet, that's going to bring
Bertram to 19. He's feeling a bit better.
Isn't Nikomas doing or saying anything else?
Nikomas is going to to look at herself with the silver plate
and use it as a mirror just to make sure that she's Stillwell
put together and looking like a hot swap mommy.

(01:50:49):
And then she's going to end her turn.
Give me a performance check. I'm going to say with
disadvantage. You've been shot out with
cannonballs shot by Devon the Grin.
Yeah, performance. A disadvantage performance.
I got a 10. You know.

(01:51:11):
I mean the other one was a net money.
It was. Brag Grenier's frozen staring at
Nikomas as this happens. Yeah, Nikomas, you you look at
yourself in the reflection and you know what you've been shot
with. You've been shot at and hit by
two cannonballs. You've been shot in the chest by

(01:51:35):
this rogue Devon the grin. You're bleeding.
You're dusty. You know you, you've had like
wood splinters, like nicking andcutting you, and yet somehow
your hair is Immaculate. You look dusty, you look bloody,
but somehow you're pulling it off like you look like you

(01:51:56):
should for the fight you've beenin.
Feel good, I'm feeling good. I'm feeling right.
All right. Well, now that we've got that
little bit of narcissism out of the way, those mobs are dead.
Those mobs are gone. Bertram is just running and
dashing everything he's got. He's going to kind of duck

(01:52:19):
around arsenic comas and he goes, thanks again.
Russia's past the steel defender.
He gives a wide berth around thefire elemental to keep from
burning and gets closer to the chaos Shit.
And that's biting into arena andhe yells my Duchess and that's

(01:52:41):
his, Oh, I've skipped torque. Torque is also going to use all
of his movement and stuff, whichis actually a bit more as he's
riding in his steel defender. He gets a good 75 feet as he
charges up the main way as well running to join up there.

(01:53:04):
That's the end of all of that. Thea.
It is your turn at the top of the order here.
Before it's your turn, you everybody, especially Narloin
with advantage, give me some perception checks.
OK, you said with advantage. Arloin with advantage being
there next to the ceiling. Sorry I I said your name but
then I wanted everyone to do their checks. 15.

(01:53:28):
I think I actually would. I don't know it. 19.
OK, 16 I mean. You can all see the as Rena is
still pulling on the wheel, has veered away from the city, and
has been making this long, slow turning arc.
It is still listing heavy to theleft.

(01:53:50):
The West side of the ship is tilted downward like an airplane
making a steep banking turn, andall of you can see everybody's
roles were high enough. You can see that the El Therian
is on on a direct crash course with the tallest tower of the

(01:54:12):
Silver Moon Castle. You have two turns to change the
direction of the ship as it's being steered.
Thea, it is your turn. Rena, we're going to crash if
you don't turn the. Wheel Reno's just like I'm

(01:54:32):
trying as she's like this thing is just chewing onto her.
She's just doing everything she can to hold on to the wheel to
keep from being ripped away and rag dolled by the creature.
She's got like one arm like through the wheel wrapped around
and like holding on to her own shoulder and her other hand
holding on to one of the handlesof the wheel just white

(01:54:55):
knuckled. She's she's doing everything she
can. Yeah, OK.
I'm going to move north. I'm just going to, I'm going to
move N up here. OK.
So I can aim right right at shitwith my blast again.

(01:55:16):
Just don't roll in that one. Anna does a 16 hit. 16 is a
miss. OK, can I use a like point?
Yeah, absolutely. OK, I'm going to try it again.
Does 24 hit? That'll do it, yeah.
OK, all right, let's row two of these bad boys.

(01:55:42):
That's going to be 14 total damage.
Hell yeah. Hell yes, and that that will end
my turn. OK, Brag Grenier.
Brag Grenier. Brag Grenier, please give me a

(01:56:06):
wisdom. Say or no, you are paralyzed for
your turn. At the end of your turn, the the
paralyzation wears off. It is not another roll it it
effectively steals your turn. I am sorry.
Man, that's all right. Have a good night.
Peace out everybody. More longer paralyzed.

(01:56:29):
On your next turn you will be able to act, but I will say you
have your free action. If there is something you would
like to say, or if Bragrenier isthinking something, you can
share that with everybody. Oh, no, Bragrenier.
Bragrenier is just watching everything unfold.
OK. And he, he, he's got a lot of
inner reflecting going on at themoment.

(01:56:53):
And yeah. OK, let's go ahead and let the
fire elemental go. I am going to say that if the
fire elemental gets up there, people will be at risk of being
ignited by it. I can take it.
Again, it can be as small as an inch, but the fire elemental is
going to run across and he's going to aim the cannon at the

(01:57:18):
chittering chaos shit, and soon as he's done aiming the cannon,
the rest of his movement is going to be to go into the
cannon as a ball of fire. OK, are you also loading a
cannonball? I did that last time.

(01:57:40):
You did OK. The Steel Defender loaded the
cannon and then ran away. OK, OK.
So that is the end of the fire elementals turn and would like
to do anything but roll a now. Hold your ship for a second.
Now the cannonball went in. The fire elemental crawled in in

(01:58:02):
front of it. I am going to tell you right
now, if you fire that cannon, the fire elemental will come
barreling out of it and it will be bad, but it is also going to
take that damage of being shot out of a cannon.
That's fine. OK.

(01:58:22):
Environmental, it's like a very small cannonball, like it is
like it is enough to if I don't roll it, one hit.
Just the chaos shit and nothing else so.
I'll be the judge of that. Roll your attack.
I'm in danger. Yeah, yeah, like Narlawine's

(01:58:46):
mother is in real danger of being killed by her son.
So there's a priest right there too.
He's. The.
Priest is dead. The priest is definitely dead.
Yeah. And so with the Steel Defender
loading the cannon, the Fire Elemental aiming and climbing
inside of the cannon, Narlawine will now shoot the cannon.

(01:59:09):
I'm more nervous about this thanthat card.
I swear don't just don't roll a gnat one that's not God.
Well, it's a nine plus my proficiency because it's a
firearm +3. That's still a miss.
Well, the seal defender, I mean the sorry, the seal defender,

(01:59:31):
the fire elemental will still now be on top of the little
chaos fit as a one inch qualifier, no.
It's not. Absolutely not.
Where's it going? It's going to continue 600 feet.
It's a it's a sentient being. It could totally fly off any
time at once. I.
Don't know about that you. Used your movement to turn and.

(01:59:57):
You. Still sentient.
No, it does not have any movement.
It's not its turn and you fired this thing out of a cannon.
I love where your head is at, but you missed Sir.
Oh, I use a lug point if if you're allowing it I I do have
one if you would like it. I think Rule of Cool demands it.

(02:00:20):
It's really cool, but 3 + 9 is still big.
With if you're allowing the luckpoint, roll.
Again with the luck point. And what?
What was that thing you said before?
You know what not to roll. 19 + 9 for a 28.

(02:00:45):
Fucking beautiful. That's a hit.
The fire elemental blasts out ofthe cannon and the cannonball
following behind it. I'm going to say half roll the
damage for the cannonball first and the fire elemental is going

(02:01:07):
to take half of that. Yeah.
So that was 10D8 or 8D10. 8 D 10.
That's going to be 31 damage. OK, so elemental is going to
take 16 damage. I think that's either piercing
or bludgeoning, so that I think it's cut in half again.
So it's something like 8 damage. You're keeping track of the the

(02:01:30):
hit points on it? Or do you want me to?
No, I've got them. The tutoring thing would also
take a 1D10 of fire damage for touching the elemental.
Yeah, so Chittering creature takes the full 31 points of
damage. +8 fire damage, so 39 total damage. 39 damage to him.
Yep, Nara Louine as this thing is chomping into your mother.

(02:01:54):
It's turn is next and I'm going to tell you right now if it had
a turn it would probably kill your mother, your cannonball and
fire elemental. How much damage was it total?
3939 points of damage the Chittering Chaos Horror had.

(02:02:20):
I had put it at 100 hit points. This is a homebrewed monster for
anybody at home wondering what kind of chittering something is
this? It's homebrewed.
I gave it 100 hit points as being a kind of phase two of
Javon the Grin. That's why I told Yamas to queue
up the Latin chorus music. As you know, its hit points hit

(02:02:41):
zero, and then a whole new greatbig full red bar of health
popped up for this creature. It had taken 63 points of
damage, leaving it with 37 health, and you and your fucking
fire elemental did 39 damage bringing it to God damn -2

(02:03:04):
Everybody together is screw themout.
Everyone is rushing in together at once at this chaos being and
Narlawine. You light the fuse, the
cannonball and the fire elemental fly through the air.
RIP through the chaos shit, it'slit on fire.
The fire elemental blast clean through it and crashes into the

(02:03:27):
room behind it, carving this searing cauterized hole through
the creature and it rears its head back, letting go of Rena
and she begins to crank on the wheel, pulling it to the right,
trying to pull the ship now to the east, turning it away from
the castle and teeth marks just thrashing blood out of her

(02:03:49):
shoulder. Inside the whole ship rocks
heavily to the right. Everybody's staggering and
rushing in. Everyone together.
Please tell me how you collectively finish off Devon
the Grin in his chaos form the BBET of the Silver Moon Ark.

(02:04:11):
Well, I know with that shot, right after it passed, right
after the cannonball fire demon elemental passes, Pebble would
have would run past and to checkto help Rena to see if she had
the wheel. She's got it.
So she's while Rena's grabbing the wheel, Pebble steps on it to

(02:04:33):
like kind of help veer it to theother side, and also to reach up
and start pouring a health potion down her throat.
And she turns and and greedily begins drinking out of it as the
two of you are pulling on the wheel.
Like you get it. Like I'm standing at it because,
you know. Yeah, like she's like fat girl

(02:04:55):
style. Like she's you're just pouring
this thing straight down into her mouth.
She's just drinking it straight out of the bottle, guzzling.
Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. How is Thea contributing to this
thing's demise? The thing I was just envisioning
is after I had just did the Eldridge blast and we got to see

(02:05:17):
that beautiful fireball come shooting at, at it in my, in my,
my own way. I, I have walked up to it after
the fact and I've got like my hand out preparing chill, chill,
touch. And you can see my tails with
that black tail twishing behind me.

(02:05:38):
And yeah, I just, I just grabbedthis thing with my hand and just
with that, that wicked smile that that's my little touch to
it. Yeah, Bragg Vernier, you are no
longer paralyzed. Don't worry about like the
distance. How does Braggrenier rush in or.
Does. I think as Braggrenier sees the

(02:06:00):
cannonball flying, even though there's a fire elemental in
front of it, he's going to go back to his roots and in his
mind, heating up the cannonball with heat metal is really going
to make a difference. And he'll cast Heat Metal.
Yeah, the cannonball, just as the fire elemental, also just

(02:06:24):
leaves this cauterized searing hole in the creature as the
cannonball passes through it. Can I say that?
Can I, can I Recon it real quickand say that Pebble leapt
through the hole in the thing's chest to to get to Rena?
You know, like just like throughit like as it like boom, hit
hole, boom, she jumps through and lands.

(02:06:45):
On the wheel, give me an acrobatics check.
I'll do it. How big is this aberration?
Like what's the sizing of it? Because I imagine it's like a
small like oh. It's it's very big, OK.
OK. Acrobatics of.
Devon's like chest cavity and itlike grew as it like molted and
like came into its full form. As as Brag sees Pebble jump, he

(02:07:08):
yells slice it in half. I rolled athletics.
Did you say acrobatics or athletics?
Acrobatics. Oh, does a Nat 20 do it?
Nat 20s all around. It's just for flavor mud.
I'm going to change our motto toroll anything but a gnat 20.

(02:07:30):
Well, you'll have to roll for that.
Yeah, a Pebble. You perfectly dive through the
cauterized hole of the aberration, land in a forward
somersault, grab onto the the wheel of the El Ferrion like,

(02:07:50):
prop yourself up into a handstand, and pour that potion
down Rena's throat as you're standing on one hand.
I guess on the right side of thewheel, adding your weight to
turning it away from the castle while feeding a potion into
Rena's mouth because why the fuck not.
Nicomas, what are you doing? Paul misses in disbelief as she

(02:08:16):
just saw what I think was a fireball rushed through the
enemy. He was, you know, still admiring
herself in the mirror, and then noticed a very bright light kind
of above her, a flash and take out, take out the enemy.
This is why you shouldn't be vain because I totally missed

(02:08:36):
it. I was too distracted.
But she is happy that the creature is no longer present,
and she slowly, you know, leisurely walks up to the rest
of the crew. Like, hey, I'm glad everyone's
OK. Simultaneously, Bertram the Red
runs up, great sword in hand, isjust hacking at this thing's
tail end. Torque in his steel defender

(02:08:58):
also charges, gears and Pistons just whirring and turning,
clockwork gears powering this thing as he charges and stabs
the power loader arms into the chittering chaos shit.
And you all see as it writhes and convulses and the head

(02:09:19):
limply hangs forward-looking at Rena.
She turns from the wheel Pebble as you're pulling it to the
right. You are now clear of the castle.
Rena turns and she pulls her dagger out from under her
wedding dress and she looks at the creature and she says I and

(02:09:45):
she stabs into its eye and she pulls back in a gory display.
She says do not and stabs into its face again and pulls the
dagger back. And she says consent to this
marriage. And she drives the dagger
through its eye and the creaturecollapses to the ground, fully

(02:10:07):
defeated. And that is the end of Devon the
Grin. Hell yeah the.
Can I pick up that? Can I pick up that golden eye?
She stabbed through it. It's it's it's.
Oh, OK. It's damaged.
OK, OK. But the the ship begins to right

(02:10:29):
itself and you coast feet away from the tallest tower of the
Silver Moon Estate castle. The El theorion starts to make
its way back towards the training field where this whole
thing started, where it lifted up out of the field and the
firing of the cannons below deckslows down and has stopped and

(02:10:55):
you hear cheering from below deck.
Bertram looks at everybody, and with a look of pride he nods
once and he says, I believe the real palace guards have won the
day aboard the Etherion. Oh yeah, with she nods to
Bertram with. That the the ship is brought

(02:11:22):
slowly to a land and Rena, holding the ring in her hand
that Devon had given her, is looking at it quizzically.
And she snaps her fingers and Torque comes running up and
hands her a magnifying glass outof one of his mini pockets.

(02:11:44):
And she's looking at it analytically and she goes.
I don't know how I missed it thefirst time.
There must have been something else going on that was
distracting me. And she looks at you, Narlaween.
And she gives a small smile, a avery small and controlled smile.

(02:12:10):
And she says, Nara Louine my boy, or hmm, well, no, not
quite. I guess I should say Nara
Louine, my son, because you are a man.
Well done son. And with that, I think I I just
kind of put go down on one knee to her, but the the height

(02:12:33):
situation, but she's probably not fully standing as she just
took the eye out of this thing and as a bloody mess as she's
drinking this healing potion. She is standing very rigid.
OK, well, I still would kind of kneel in front of her and bake
her hand and say, mom, I'm happythat you're safe.

(02:12:55):
I can't believe that this all happened, but I'm happy that
you're safe. I was really worried.
She nods as the ship gives this shuddering thunk as it lands in
the grass and she takes your hand and she pads it once and
she goes. Yes, I have to admit I am a
little bit confused and a littledisoriented.

(02:13:16):
However, I do believe, at the risk of sending grandiose, that
you, my son and your friends have really quite saved the day.
He kind of blushes and doesn't want to deny it because it's

(02:13:38):
true, but is also trying not to be bashful about it.
As she holds your hand, she grabs your sleeve and pushes it
up your arm up to the elbow, looking at the scars down your
arm. And she says, my mind was in a
different place when I said it. But the truth was we did cast

(02:14:02):
you out of the Silver Moon Estates so that you could go out
into the world and gain some real world experience, real
world, real world knowledge and learn from your foolish childish
behavior. And she kind of like runs her
fingers across the scars. And she says, it would seem you

(02:14:25):
have learned quite a bit since the time that you left, and I am
glad you're home. And with that, I, I, I almost
not pull away, but you can tell I'm uneasy with her touching the
scars. And I, I'm appreciating what
she's saying, but there's still a clear, you know, trauma in my

(02:14:47):
face from it that I try to hide. And I'll just reply as I do it.
I'm giving myself a guidance. OK.
Yeah, it's going to be 11 -, 1 +1 for 11.
You kind of try to pull away andand look away and she grabs your

(02:15:09):
arm tighter and with her other hand she grabs your chin and
forces you to look at her and she says, NAR Louine, I'm proud
of you. I'll just keep kind of looking
up at her and say, you know, my hands holding her hand now.
Thank you, Mom. It you don't know what it means

(02:15:30):
to hear you say that. Thank you.
She pulls you up to your feet and kind of grips you by the
shoulders, gives your shoulders a squeeze and turns to torque.
And she says, well, there's a lot of questions to be answered.
And Bertram, I believe we have quite a mess to clean up.
The city is going to have to take first priority.

(02:15:52):
I want all of the remaining Queen's Guard sent down into the
city. There's going to be a lot of
wounded individuals down there. I need to make sure that we have
all of our clerics down in the city healing everybody.
Aside from that, I have to imagine that Diedrich no Devon.
Devon probably has more men downin the city.

(02:16:15):
They probably don't know what has happened, but given the fact
that the ship has now landed, they may assume that their side
lost today. Bertram, I want you to take up
another strike force and I want you to go scour the city and
find all of his men and bring them to the dungeon.
We'll decide their fate later. As for the rest of you, as I

(02:16:37):
said, there's a lot of work to be done.
Nokomis, you're quite the skilled healer, if you wouldn't
mind joining the clerics going down into the city.
Save whoever you can. Save women and children first.
Pebble, I believe Bertram could use the extra muscle.
Thea would you? Prefer to join.
Thank you. Thea.
Would you prefer to join the clerics or would you prefer to
join the the palace guards the sorry?

(02:17:02):
My mic was muted. I'll join the palace guards and
get get those bastards. Excellent.
Brad Grenier, I'm not quite surehow you best think that you
would be able to help. Do you think you should join
your friend Pebble and go down into the city, rounding up your
old friend's remnants of his gang as this is?

(02:17:26):
Partly my fault for allowing Devin to go free and not try to
stop him before he found his wayto your shores.
I I will join Pebble and Bertram.
Excellent. Well, you can join the palace
guards rounding up the last of his thugs.
Let's. See also if if, if I can say

(02:17:50):
something I had I had a speech ready for this, but I I can't
quite remember it, and I I'd like to pick up Devon's head
that's sitting at the table in front of me.
I oh OK. OK.
And I go Pebble. Hey, listen, we did it.

(02:18:11):
We ended him. You, you never flinched.
You saw his smile and you cracked it wide open.
You're you're Grind Breaker. That's your name.
Pebble. Grind Breaker.
Wait, no. What do you think of Pebble?
Of the shattered smile. Is this a the?

(02:18:33):
I, I think it suits you. And I look at Bertram and I say,
what do you think? Bertram shrugs once and says I
was going to call her Pedal the Wedding Wrecker, but you know.
I can have multiple the's and I have more than one the.

(02:18:53):
Let's see. The candle working with me and
my guards as we round up the last of Devon's men.
Oh, I got your back, Jack. But Rena smiles once and nods,
and she says grin breaker. That's got a ring to it, you
know, You got to admit. Pebbled the grin.

(02:19:14):
A Pebble of the chattered smile sounds smarter.
I mean, it shrugs and she says this is all very superfluous and
actually doesn't matter right now.
All of you have jobs to do. And she claps her hands and she
says, everyone, please get to it.
Now, Louine, I would like you tostay with me as we go back to

(02:19:35):
the palace. And a comus is going to wild
shape into a bird to get down tothe the ground quicker.
We're we're. Landed.
Yeah, yeah, you're. Just, well, yeah, off the ship.
You can definitely do that though.
Like. Yeah, let me rephrase.
Nakomis is going to wild shape into a bird to get a better
bird's eye view of who I need toheal.

(02:19:56):
Fantastic, fantastic, all of you.
You just. You just hear random cries of
burrito Taco enchilada. That, everyone, is where we are
going to end this session. This does effectively bring us

(02:20:22):
to the end of the Silver Moon Saga.
Next episode we will have a bit of clean up, a little bit of
some explanations, a little bit of dialogue.
There is going to be some thingsthat still happen at Silver
Moon. But as we talked about before,
and I'm going to bring this up just for our listeners, our
heroes are effectively going to have the opportunity for some

(02:20:47):
actual meaningful downtime in our next session.
So they're going to have a few things to think about about how
they are going to spend their time and spend the days
following these events after thewedding.
We will get into that more in our next episode.
From here, we are going to have a little bit more episodic kind

(02:21:10):
of adventures with the group. They've going to have some
decisions to make about what they want to do and where they
want to go. We're going to be discussing
that a bit more off mic and cometo some decisions about how they
would like their characters to proceed from here, especially
with some of the major changes that have taken place.
NAR Louine and being having restored his house, a Pebble

(02:21:33):
with their new title, Thea with the black tail Braggren are now
being lawful evil and a Comus with, you know, maybe some like
questions of, you know, that whole human meat shield thing
that happened during the black pudding massacre, as well as the
vanity and all of the healing and knowing somewhere out there,

(02:21:55):
your brother, a necromancer is out in the world somewhere.
And this one had mentioned beingwilling to help.
And we may see a little bit moreof our old skeleton friend this

(02:22:15):
one. But that is where we are going
to call this a wrap. Guys, what a what a conclusion
to the Silver Moon story arc. Yeah, yeah, I, I got, I got to
say it, it was a long arc, but that's kind of part of the way
we play though. Like it, you know, now it, it's

(02:22:39):
a, it's a struggle to, to like, 'cause I listen to Nad Pod and
Dimension 20 and all that. And it's like, you know, but I
also listen to Critical Role just like, but you, you see
these arcs and it's like, oh, like 3 to 6 episodes and then
it's a new arc, you know? And it's like, this was almost

(02:23:01):
20 episodes specifically for theSilver Moon arc, I think.
Many more than I ever anticipated.
But man, fun fun, fun, fun, you know?
Excellent. We've also got some bulls and
bears to catch up on for our listeners.

(02:23:22):
If you are a Patreon subscriber,we know we are aware.
Schedule conflicts, holidays anddifferent things have put us a
little behind schedule on bulls and the bears, but we are going
to get to them. That said, my 5 wonderful heroes
who I love to introduce at the beginning of every session.
I also love making you all say goodbye.

(02:23:43):
So in whatever order feels best to the five of you, say
goodnight to all the listeners. Goodnight all you listeners, and
thank you very much for partaking of our quests and
joining us on our adventures. Yama's playing Pebble, or Pebble
no longer is out. And yeah, yeah, join us in

(02:24:06):
these. Yeah, it was a it was a lot of
fun, a lot of lots of gnats, 20sfor that.
The last big showdown, Guama Skittles, who plays the Yeah, I
had a blast. And yeah, as I was getting off
the shift ship, just so you know, I definitely kicked Jack
off around. So yeah, just kicked that dead

(02:24:28):
body. Not everyone at once now, yeah.
I was going to. Say go ahead arc.
This is this is Nokomis Whisper when played by the Arcturus.
Yes, this has been a a lovely, lovely adventure saga and yeah,
looking forward to what's to come.
Thanks all for listening. Narloeen AK pyro here, hell of

(02:24:52):
an arc, lots of fun. I think we leveled up and we'll
see what happens. Let's level up the Phoenix Steel
Defender because I want a torquesuit that looks like fun.
Well. This is Tolton, played by Brad.
Man, God, I I missed that up. This is Brad Grenier, played by

(02:25:12):
Tolton. A little slower now, a little
darker, but that's the end of the Divine arc, and there's one
less grin in the world. Boy, that's the truth was that
everybody that was everybody. Okay, my name is mud.
I'm the dungeon master. This has been a great time.
Thanks for listening. Thank you for her participating.

(02:25:33):
Be sure to give a like and a follow.
Throw a comment on here if you're listening to this
episode. Tell us what you think.
This was a long arc and we're going to be shaking things up
from here, like I said earlier. So we're going to have some
somewhat shorter, less characterdriven adventures and some
different things going on. But if you were a listener and
you're thinking like, Oh my God,this arc lasted forever, you're

(02:25:56):
right, it did. And things are going to change
up from here and we've got more arcs like it in the future.
I've got more planned for my happy go lucky little Nat 20
rolling shitheads for players. Praise bark, Could we level up?
No. Good night everybody.
Thank you for listening and. Praise Bark.

(02:26:17):
Have a good night. You've heard this.
Before. You've heard this before, but
praise somebody. Praise.
Beeshava. Praise Bark.
Praise Bark. Good night everybody.

(02:26:41):
We'll gather round and hear the tale of Sky's eye and faces pale
on I'll fair and proud and grandold wedding veiled in wicked
plants. Orland spoke with burning grace
on master grin and master face. Mother see this gifts a chain.

(02:27:04):
Devon plots to steal your name, Stand together still in flame,
expose the trainer and the game through fire and rope, through
chaos and sin. So fell the smile of Tib on the
green. Borrowed

(02:27:37):
guys watched with war behind hiseyes.
Pebble hid beneath the stage, waiting for the battles.
Rage, a fire elemental, yes, andwild did nor Lewis summon With
anger piled steel rang out. The guards betrayed as Rina's

(02:27:57):
love began to fade. Stand together, steal the flame,
expose the traitor and the game to fire and rope through chaos
and sin, fulfil the smile of divine.
But death's last breath gave rise anew a chaos beast.

(02:28:20):
The lies had brood. It struck at Rena, tore the sky,
and Thea fell with a High Road. Cry no cometh with hens aglow,
pulled her back from death's cold snow together.
Then the cannon roared and brought the beast to Chaos door.

(02:28:43):
Let echoes ring of oath and flame of those who rose and
earned their name. They save the Queen.
They saved her kin. With fury fell Lord Devon the
Grin. So if you sail the silver air,
remember those who fought up there and know that grins can

(02:29:05):
rot within. Beware the charm of Devon the
Grin.
