(00:06):
Hey friends, Mudd here. We've talked a lot about Canine
finance over the last few months, as they've been a long
time supporter and sponsor of this show, and you've heard a
lot about Canine. But did you know that Canine is
also an official partner to the token Shiba Inu, a highly
successful Doge competitor? The sheep community has been

(00:28):
working for years now building their own decentralized
ecosystem called Shibarium, which uses another token called
BONE as gas to process transactions on their chain.
Well, Canine Finance built Bone Crusher as a liquid staking
platform. That means you can stake your

(00:48):
BONE tokens to earn rewards and still use your BONE on the
network. Shibarium is a crypto network
made by regular people for everyone, and projects like
Canine Finance are doing their part to bring more rewards and
more utility to everyone. Learn more by visiting Canine

(01:09):
finance.com. That's K the number 9
finance.com and learn why everyone is talking about
canine. Hello everybody and welcome to

(01:31):
another exciting adventure of DND 721.
My name is Mud the Dungeon Master and we are here for Part
2 of the Silver Moon Saga Aftermath.
And I am here with five. Very aftermath, very calculator

(01:53):
deprived, very tired counting. I don't know I'm I'm not good at
math puns. I got 5 wonderful players here
ready to roll some magic rocks with numbers on them.
My magic rock rollers say hi to all the people.
Hi all the people. Hello everyone.
Oh. Every time.
Every time. I I thought we were just doing

(02:16):
like a group. Hello.
I'm saying it's been been too long.
Take it from. The top we didn't unmute.
Yes, hi, I am Arcturus playing Nukamis.
I play a druid known as Swappa. Mommy, there we go.
That's how you do it. That's how you do an
introduction. How you do it guys?
That's an introduction. Come on, this is like our 28th

(02:37):
episode. You should be pros at this.
Go off and I am Yamez playing Pebble the Barbarian.
A little Einsteized terror and yeah, ready to go.
I'm NAR Louine playing pyro. Wait, no no no, I'm Pyro playing
NAR Louine. Also lovingly known as NAR NAR

(02:57):
and playing AI. Don't know 12th level artificer
at this point. We've levelled up a few times I
think. Right, Mr. DMI don't know, I'm
not good at math. Me either, I think you're a
level 5. I'm Sultan playing Braggrenier,
the humble level 7 Bard. Enjoying enjoying some changes.

(03:19):
I'm pretty sure I just woke up for a nap.
I don't know where I'm at. What was Skittles playing?
Thea the Kitsoon Paladin Warlocktailed friend here to have some
fun. Here to have some fun.
And that's what it's all about, guys.
Well, let's do a brief recap from the previous aftermath.

(03:42):
You guys went through a number of, you know, like, like I said
in the last campaign episode, this was a little bit of an
experiment. It was a little different.
You were all going through a number of different experiences,
all of which were in some way kind of tied to some of the

(04:03):
decisions were that were made and some of the outcomes of what
happened with the entire Silver Moon Saga.
And those things ranged anywherefrom the missing Wyvern, from
Frank the assassin, to the burgeoning religion surrounding
Bark. There was upsetness about how

(04:26):
the city was being reconstructedand who was being helped and who
was helping do there was all kinds of things.
And all of it came to a very lovely climactic finish with a
rematch between Bertram the Red and Pebble, where everyone found
out that Bertram the Red did in fact still have some of that

(04:47):
Chaos Shard stuck in his arm. You all very successfully saved
Bertram, even though Pebble did lose again.
But we don't have to talk about that.
We're going to pick up right where we left off.
Guys. Is everybody ready?
Oh yeah. Yes, coffee is staying warm.

(05:08):
Vaguely, we are. All righty, guys.
Well, here we go. We're going to move to Part 7.
This part is called The Wyvern'sShadow.
This is going to be a scene thattakes place with Narlawein and
Bragriner. Ah, the infamous duo back at it.

(05:30):
Yes. Just don't roll in that one.
The the two of you were hanging out in some capacity and you
were up at the castle Narla Wayne.
You have had to like take some time being the son of the
Duchess. You have had some like royal
responsibilities, like you have had to entertain some
petitioners. You've had to help with some of

(05:50):
like the meetings and some of the councils that takes place
just naturally as being the the son of the Duchess and second in
line. There were certain expectations
and responsibilities of you. So you are probably taking a
shift of seeing petitioners and listening to them and you know,
Bradburn or maybe you were just like kind of like hanging out,

(06:10):
had nothing else to do that day.So you were hanging out with
your buddy Nara Lewin as he was seeing people.
And as it comes about, a a groupof farmers and cattle herders
have approached and petitioned, talking about how they keep
seeing a dragon in the sky and their livestock keeps going,

(06:31):
missing out in the agricultural plains where the goats and cows
graze, and they their stories are largely embellished.
Could both of you please give meeither history or animal
handling checks? 13, I would like to use a bardic

(06:54):
OK on I'll I'll use a bardic on Narloin.
OK, so D8, go ahead. 18. OK, with that, you know that
there are really no Dragons thatare free roaming in the Silver
Moon Province. And from their descriptions and

(07:17):
them screaming and talking aboutDragons killing their livestock,
you realize pretty quickly this is one of Frank's three wyverns,
the one that got away. So with that, you guys put
together a little entourage, some guards to go with you.
You make your way out into the agricultural, the the cattle

(07:43):
grazing areas and are trying to track down the Wyvern.
As you're making your way, you do see some signs of it.
I would like each of you to giveme a survival check as you were
trying to track this Wyvern to its new nest.

(08:05):
I will give you a survival checkand I would like to note that
one of the guards that I broughtwith us is parsable.
We did not tell the Comus. OK. 3 + 2 plus slash of genius
for an. For an 8.
I'll I'll bardic Nokomis again or NAR NAR.
I'm sorry, I keep saying Nokomis.

(08:27):
All right, add a add AD 8. Braggartney rolled A6 so.
I'm growing up. That's a 12.
You both spend much of the day tracking back and forth across
the fields. You keep seeing signs of a wiver
and you keep seeing scorched marks on the ground.
You see some bloody heaps where livestock was very messily

(08:50):
killed, partly eaten and then carried away.
Can a parsival, can parsival assist us in what?
He knows the area? No, he knows the area being
being a noble of the area. That's the.
Opposite of what Parsival would know.

(09:12):
Now Parsival and the Steel Defender are going together and
they're helping us gather signs to recovering twice the area
Greg would also be. Talking to any people that we,
any people that we pass and seeing if they know anything.
Yeah, they're all telling you. Yes, there's a dragon up in them
hills. OK, the hills.

(09:33):
The hills, you say? What an advantage.
You got a 12 and I am going to be really fucking nice.
You get 1 survival check, nothing added to it except your
natural survival ability. No, no more flash of insights or

(09:55):
or anything or Bartix. You just give me AAD 20 roll.
I I got this NAR NAR. Do we both give one or just just
one? Of US1 of you pick who.
He said he was going to do it so.
That would be a 22 for Brag Renaire.

(10:16):
Parsival picks up a trail. However.
However, what? No, I was going to say I know he
rolled. Her.
How did you get a 22? We I did a survival track.
Was it just supposed to be a flat 20?
Yeah, I said just so then it would be 20.
So then it would be a 19 if I take away the +3.
OK. It's still above 18.

(10:38):
OK. I was, I was going to say he did
roll first if you, if you did want to take his role.
Yeah, I clicked mine immediatelybefore he said like he was going
to take it and I was just letting him take it regardless
of the role. But the role ended up being a
15. But like I was, I was saying
that he can do it before it actually rolled it up.

(10:58):
Are you going to keep it with who rolled first or you're going
to take the win? I'm rolling AD 2011 and up is
you, 10 and under is me. OK, that's a three.
That's a. 3 So we're taking the lower roll.
OK. Yes, I kept it fair.
OK, you spend a lot of time searching for that Wyvern, but

(11:23):
you guys are unable to track it down.
And eventually the task of trying to track the Wyvern and
scouring the area with guards and taking your time away from
court, it all becomes a sunk cost.

(11:44):
And Rena says you're done. You're not going back out.
You're not looking anymore. Whatever is going on with that
Wyvern, it's going to have to make its peace in the
countryside there. And the Wyvern becomes, you guys
hear through word of mouth, a local terror to the cattlers and

(12:06):
the herders out in the agricultural area.
And that's OK that that is marked in one way.
But that's that's the outcome ofthe rolls.
And we're going to move on to the next chapter.
I appreciate you guys being honest.
As we walk back. Not watching your dice?
Yeah, he he threw the dice out as he was saying it.

(12:28):
As you're walking back, what wasthat?
Do we see any pawns? No moving on.
Part 8, Shrine of the Godling. This is going to be a scene with
Pebble and Braggrenier. Woo Hoo.
Pebble, you have seen and heard of the little forest shrine that

(12:54):
Rena had said back after Sarah died.
You guys wanted a temple or a shrine of some kind to be built
for bark. And she had expressed that she
would find a way to set aside a section of woods that would
become a dedicated natural area that would be sanctified and

(13:16):
basically, you know, protected by the Silver Moon estate as a
holy area, like a church, like an outdoor church.
And you 2 are in a Tavern not far from where the Shrine of
Bark is in the out in the woods. And you are both hearing a
couple of the wood laborers arguing and complaining loudly

(13:43):
about how they have just lost a good section of woods that they
are no longer allowed to work in.
And you hear one talking about how it's this new shrine that's
been made for some new upstart God.
And the other, like, lumberjack, like, bangs his first on the
table angrily. And he goes, it's just a fairy

(14:05):
tale. It's not real.
And they're taken away from our pay, from our good hard work,
taking away our natural resources that we use out in
these woods to make a living. How?
Well Slams her fists on the table, pulls out bark and walks
over to him and says, does this look like a fairy, a fairy tale

(14:26):
to you? One of them narrows his eyes and
he says it. It looks like a rotted piece of
tree. There's nothing rotten about
this piece of tree. He stands up, standing a solid
3-4 feet taller than you, and hesays you want to say that again.

(14:46):
Said there's nothing rotten about this piece of tree.
You as a lumberjack should appreciate the trees.
If you think about it, without trees, you don't have a job, no.
That's exactly what my job. Is grow more trees?
I'm one of the tree growers. My job is to help plant and

(15:06):
expedite the growth of trees that get cut down, and now I
don't get to do that because thetrees that's in my section of
woods aren't allowed to be cut down no more.
Well great, then your your your job is to grow trees.
So go talk to bark and help him grow trees.
He might actually help you grow trees faster and more
efficiently. If you talk to him, you'll

(15:27):
understand the. The the growing of trees like
you, you run out of space eventually.
And then if no one's cutting them down, no one's paying me
for growing them. Have you even thought about
talking to Bark about more efficient ways of laying out
your Groves? I'm.
Sure, I would like to. He spits on your.

(15:49):
I would like to interlude as well.
I would like to interject beforePebble rages and I'd like to
point out to these these wood growers that Pebble is the yeah,
I'd like to point out that one of the tenants of Pebble is that
or not Pebble tenants of bark isthat bark is a symbol of

(16:14):
regrowth. And that though with the more
worship to bark means that things will grow faster and more
lush and stronger, especially around areas considered holy by
bark and its followers. So.
He. In the longest.
And he says you noble upstarts don't get it.

(16:41):
It doesn't matter how many treesI grow.
It's a protective woodland area now.
No one's allowed to cut them down.
That means I don't get paid for growing anything.
And you're telling me that you were not offered anything with,
with your site becoming a secured area?

(17:01):
I, I know the Prince. I can get that fixed.
We can get that fixed. I we can speak on your.
Behalf with less. That's what I was told.
So no I don't believe in bark. I curse bark cause bark is
making it harder for me to feed my family.
I will. Pebble goes into a rage and

(17:23):
grabs his balls and twists. She's past punching, you don't
curse. She's got a fistful of freaking,
you know, potatoes and you don'tcurse bark in front of me.
He's got him by the short and curlies buddy.
He starts swinging. He he's, he falls to his knees

(17:43):
and he also starts swinging. I mean, he's he's a tough guy.
Brag Grenier, are you are you joining in on the fight as more
forest workers in the Tavern alljump up to like help their guy
who's been nut crushed right nowit it's turning into a Tavern
brawl. Bragner, what are you doing?
Bragner is going to going to shrug, knowing that his

(18:04):
companion is beyond words. And yeah, he'll, he'll, he'll
join in, but he's still going tobe attempting to defuse as he
throws punches. With each punch thrown, he's
going to be like Bark is going to help you.
Is he a good? OK, OK, You guys have to

(18:28):
understand what you're doing right now.
You're pummeling people in the face saying I'm doing this in
the name of Bark I. No, we're defending.
Why? Anybody heard they'd be
smirking? What?
I want both of you to give me a religion check with
disadvantage. You can't do this to.
Me. Yes, I can.

(18:51):
I just like to think that Pebbles doing this with bark in
her fist. Five, that is.
That's 25. 2 fives. That is 2 I got AI got a 5 as
well you. Guys are.
Oh, wait, wait, wait, Bartik. No, no, that, that's, that's not

(19:12):
how this is going. You guys are pummeling these
people and in this Tavern brawl and you're like smashing bark
into people's faces saying bark is love as you're beating them
and after like you guys are absolutely like you outmatch all

(19:32):
these other forest guys like they're tough guys, but like
they're also like commoners basically.
So like, you beat the crap out of them, the two of you and
you've. The.
Tavern with like bloody noses and maybe a black eye.
But as as you are making your way like some guards, palace
guards are rushing up hearing about a disturbance in a fight.

(19:53):
They see the two of you and theykind of like look at you Pebble.
These are your friends, as we'veestablished they like.
Brag, bribe them, I said. Brag, bribe them.
I'm kidding. I don't say that.
They they look at you, Brad. And they nod as if like, no,

(20:15):
these guys aren't the problem. They must still be inside the
Tavern. Brett Brad would like to do an
insight on their boots. Yeah, give me an insight check.
I thought Bertram wore those. Bertram.
Took that was a Nat one for a four.
One of those guards. Is that was a Nat one?
For a four fine boots that's a Nat 1.

(20:37):
You are 100% connected. It's one of those guards in
their. Boots.
I will. Those are my boots.
He's wearing my boots. You said it's been a while.
Am I still raging? Limping out of your rage right
now, OK? Like the fight ended.
You keep them up and. That's him staggering out.
She she looks at the boots. I don't, I don't think those are

(20:59):
yours, Bragg. Bertram was wearing your boots.
Believe me, I'm close enough to the ground.
I know what people, what boots people wear.
Give me a persuasion check. OK, Can I do it with advantage?
No. OK, I got a 15.
All of you, I'm sorry. You got to ask.

(21:23):
For advantage, I get to ask for advantage.
Yeah, I got a 15, Sir. OK, do you need a persuasion
from Brag Brag? Please say no.
It's You can contest it or you can be convinced.
It is up to you if you want to roll it because you rolled A
gnat one dude like convincing you is I would say very

(21:47):
difficult with your gnat 1 conviction, but I will leave it
up to you. You can do a contested
persuasion roll to see if you believe him, or you can choose
to act how you think the gnat one would make you act.
I, I I asked the guard if if Bertram gave him his boots.

(22:12):
The guard looks at his boots andhe looks at you and.
Goes. Well, I mean, technically, yeah.
Like we get all of our gear issued from the commander.
Well, I I think. Bloody.
I think, I think Bragg's going to think about that for a second
and be like, you know what, that's true.

(22:32):
This wouldn't be this guy takingmy boots.
He'd just be taking the boots from his boss using his wisdom
and and he's just going to, he'sjust going to chalk his boots up
as a lost cause. OK.
Pebble, we need to go shopping tomorrow.
We're going to move. On the next.

(22:53):
Chapter is the 2 of you sportingbloody noses and you know got
got a little banged up that you guys have effectively beat the
crap out of the foresters in theTavern in regards to Bark's.
Shrines. They'll think twice before
besmirching bark. And.
Rumors do. Spread.

(23:13):
And and. About the heroes who beat people
up who don't believe in their religion.
I wasn't. They're not.
Believing I was beating them up,talking shit very specifically.
No, they'll know not. Simply not believe.
Yeah, Had they simply not believed, I would have convinced
them. But you made them assholes.

(23:36):
I. Set you up for failure, I know
OK. You, you put us to know all.
Kinds of gotchas in this sessiontoday, so we're we're gonna keep
moving. Oh yeah.
On our second free week for everyone, why can we not air
this episode? Pyro.

(24:00):
Beating people up for religion. Yeah, tensions are high.
We're we're, it's obvious satire.
We're laughing so we don't cry. OK, Next week of free downtime,
I, I want us to try and move a little bit quicker than we did
last time. I am gonna do it in the opposite

(24:20):
order though, this time. So Arcturus, we would be
starting with Nokomis. How is Nokomis spending this?
The the second free week it has been Now it is the start of
about 9 weeks since the events of the wedding.
Yeah, Nokomis has been catching up on some of her meditation

(24:41):
and, you know, trying to take inwhat she, you know, witnessed a
little while ago where she got the, you know, the all the
people in the town didn't reallylike her.
So she she's still kind of processing that and kind of
coming to terms with it. So she's meditating on it.
Right, Percival, are are you meditating like in your little

(25:03):
waterfall Grove, are you in the apartment or where, Where are
you doing this meditating? Yeah, I'm, I'm in the Grove for
sure by that waterfall. It's it's home.
Yeah. Does Percival know where this
location is? He does, yes.
OK, I had this saved for the next part.

(25:25):
The next part was just going to be a scene with you, but this
this just kind of blends right into it.
So we're going to combine the next chapter and your your
instance here just just because it would be kind of awkward
doing the the two like kind of back-to-back.
This is part 9 combined with your week of downtime of

(25:47):
spending time meditating and trying to understand what's
happening. Parceval comes to your glade in
one of the evenings while you'rethere meditating and the
scattered half ring is filling the sky overhead, something that

(26:07):
you've probably thought a lot about.
Like you, you have a lot of likefamilial history with Luna, the
what was known as the Moon Goddess.
And from everything that you have learned in your family,
they know that there was once a celestial body that was called a
moon and it was destroyed duringthe calamity.

(26:30):
And while there is no longer a moon, the scattering of chunks
of stone that travel the night sky is kind of more or less
referred to as the moon. It's called different things in
different places. And you're, you're kind of
meditating and you're thinking about that and you're thinking,

(26:50):
you know, what might that do to be the goddess of something
shattered Pause for effect. Any insight or thoughts that
Nokomis might be having? Yeah, that's heavy.
The comas kind of reflects to think about the moon.

(27:13):
As you're thinking that you're, you're trying to look at the
night sky, like trying to kind of consider like what might it
have looked like when it was allwhole, when it was one thing.
And you're, you're looking up atthe sky and you're trying to
kind of like piece it together in your mind's eye.
And you're thinking these things.

(27:34):
And in a moment, this one materializes in front of you,
his skeletal. Form Hello again old friend.
He, he looks at you and he raises a hand as if in greeting
and then immediately explodes into a cloud of dust that's

(27:55):
carried away. And Parsival comes walking
through the brush behind where this one was standing.
And Parsival looks around. He says, well, I got here as
quick as I could as soon as my shift ended, you know, working
that grave shift. Percival Oh, I'm so glad you're

(28:17):
here. You you look like you've seen a
ghost. Were you?
Were you expecting someone else? No, I was just really deep in
thought. You surprised me.
It's all. Yeah, I, I, I get that.
He kind of walks up and embracesyou once and is acting more
awkward than usual in his full heavy palace armor.

(28:42):
And he kind of looks around and he says, I, I have a difficult
subject that I need to talk to you about.
OK, yeah, let's let's talk. OK, so I know you know that for

(29:02):
the last few weeks that no matter how much we might love
each other, there's a lot of people who don't, a lot of
ignorant people, like, right, right.
Like a lot of really stupid people, right?
Yeah, stupid people. Yeah, stupid people, but like,
some of them are stupid, but they think they're right and

(29:25):
they carry a lot of influence. And Rena sat me down at the end
of my shift and that's why I'm late.
And I don't want to tell you everything that was said, but
the word improper was used more than once.
I've never been so insulted in my life.

(29:47):
I I, I didn't use the word improper.
And he gets flustered and he walks up to Nakomas and he he
gets down on one knee and he says, Nokomis whisper wind.
I'm a palace guard and I have the burden of a pedigree that I

(30:10):
didn't ask for, but I have. And I want to ask you when he's
holding your hand, his hands arelike cold and shaking.
And he says, Nokomis, I don't think I can marry you legally,
but I wanted to know if you would marry me in spirit.
Come on, run away with me. Come on adventures with me.

(30:32):
Be free from this place. You're too good for it.
Like leave, leave Silver moon. Yeah, Can't you tell you're more
than just this place? You're so much bigger than that.
Wow, Nakomis. OK, I I'm I'm going to need a

(30:52):
heavy persuasion check from you.OK.
As Parsival is being torn between his love of Nokomis and
his rigid sense of his duty and responsibilities, Yeah, give me
a persuasion roll. I rolled 01 but not a natural

(31:18):
one. OK, but but but OK, not in that
one. But it it went down.
It's a dirty 1. That is correct, it is a dirty
1. It's a it's a dirty 1.
Parsival stands up like visibly shaken.
And he says, Nokomis. I wish.

(31:40):
I wish I had the liberty to do that.
I wish I could. Abandoned my post, abandoned my
name, abandoned my, my vows and my honor and my duty.
And he shakes his head and he's like, But I would not be the man
I think you love if I gave up those things, right?

(32:10):
I guess you're right. I guess you're right.
This might be where we need to part ways.
Giant shattered moon reflecting tears fall from his eyes and he
nods once and he says OK. I'll always remember you.

(32:33):
I'll always remember you fondly,Nokomis.
And who knows, elves have reallylong lives.
We sure do I I wish things had been different.
I wish a lot of things. Thanks for saving my life.

(32:54):
Always. I'd do it again.
He, he kind of like looks aroundawkwardly now feeling very out
of place and like he's intruding.
And he says, can I like, have a a hug goodbye maybe?
Absolutely. Dacomas warmly embraces him.
He hugs back, squeezing as tightas he can and holds it for a

(33:20):
long time and you feel wet tearsfalling on your shoulder and
eventually you're not sure how much time goes by but he finally
let's go and he turns and he leaves your little blade in.
Nicomas knows that. Nicomas knows that that it's

(33:42):
probably for the better, and sheis an adventurer after all, and
she needs to keep adventuring. Does Nokomis in any amount of
reaction or passion or grief react in any way towards the

(34:03):
nobles at the castle or the upper class upper city people
that had been whispering about her?
Or does she react or or do anything in like a as as a
reaction to this night's event? No, she leaves gracefully.

(34:26):
Does she leave Silver Moon or does she like she lets him go
gracefully? Yes.
To which? Lets him go gracefully.
OK. OK.
That was Part 9, the noble guardand the druid.

(34:48):
We are going to go back. We, we have completed Part 9,
but before part 9 was the week of time.
Nokomis, you're meditating. You're now maybe feeling this
heartbreak of breaking, you know, ending things with
Parsifal. Is there anything else you do in
your week of downtime here beyond what you've already

(35:10):
described? No, you know, I'm still just
trying to nurture myself day by day.
And, you know, now I'm fully recovered from the battles and
feeling more, more free again. Obviously a little sad, but I
also have another sense of hope that I'm going to get into

(35:35):
another fun adventure. And as you're thinking that on
another night during this meditation, looking up at the
shattered stones across the sky,you wonder if what Luna
experienced was anything similarto what you're feeling now.

(35:56):
We will go next in our list to Narlaween.
Narlaween. Do you have another week here of
your downtime? Are we still working on that
feat or are you doing something else with your time?
I found an ancient book of Alvinarcane magic and continue
studying this feat. Did.

(36:17):
You OK, Convenient. I'll allow it.
OK. Since your last time of
training, it has been 1234. This is the fifth week.
So I am going to give you this week automatically of you
dedicating time to it, that willtake it from 18 to 17.
And with it being five weeks, I am going to ask you to roll

(36:40):
another. It's it's a little less time
than the last time, but I'm going to be nice and I'm going
to ask you to roll another D 8 +1.
Seven Woo. Hoo.
OK, that that knocks off in thatamount of time, another eight
weeks from working towards this feat that is going to bring you
down to 9 weeks of study required.

(37:02):
Believe it, I'm at 10 because I I had 18.
You had 18. I had the 7 + 1.
For the week dedicated that brought it to 17, OK.
And then you rolled you said a seven, right And it's I said
that it's AD 8 + 1. So that's 17 -, 8 four nine.

(37:22):
Got it, got it. I I thought the free week was
the plus one. Nope, that's an addition I'm.
Thank you. I I just DM myself a little bit
of parsable heartbreak. So I'm I'm being nice now.
I won't even ask to learn one ofmy other scroll spells.
I'll leave that for another week.
OK, that takes care of Narnar then Next up, Braggrenier, what

(37:45):
are we doing with this week? OK, so the first week
Braggrenier started recruitment and found himself someone worthy
of leading in his stead when he's not around.
So the second week of free time he is again using using his

(38:11):
disguised self. However, he's he's kind of
coming up with a, a new persona. So his disguised self is going
to be a completely different race.
He's going to be an elf to fit in with the city, wearing
perfectly fitted black leather armor with no buckles or hard

(38:33):
edges and it doesn't make sound when he moves.
And he will be wearing a solid black porcelain mask with only
eye slits. And this is using his his
disguise self spell. So he's allowed to change OK
appearance and what he looks like, but he is going to spend

(38:55):
the week meeting with and reinforcing his rapport with the
second in command. And he would like to instill
some codes and guidelines. They're not just going to accept
anyone. They're going to basically be

(39:17):
making sure that whoever they recruit actually is proficient,
and also he's going to make the focus not on those who it would
harm losing gold, but those who can take loss and not have it
ruin their life. So basically not targeting the

(39:39):
poor. Got it.
OK, so. And then during the day, he's
still going around helping everybody, probably with Pebble
or someone else. Just make sure he's showing up
places. OK, go ahead.
Let's First off for your dead drops from the robberies of the

(40:02):
upper class. If I'm understanding you
correctly, go ahead and roll 3D1hundreds.
That's going to be 1. 46 OK, your cut of your network Nets
you 146 gold coins. OK.
And I will give 46 of those to the second in command to try to

(40:28):
increase that rapport. OK, Yeah.
He, like, is kind of doing his best to kind of like, dress like
you and his, you know, got his own disguise kit and is trying
to kind of like, match you as best as he can to kind of be
your doppelganger, right? He is also one of, like, the
first people that you had convinced when you were

(40:52):
establishing this network. And are you continuing to
recruit away from the Thieves Guild and trying to like be in
competition with them? I feel like our Guild at the
moment is going for the anonymity, so we're not trying
to recruit heavily from them. We're we're like I said, we're

(41:13):
mainly keeping rigid entrance policy, if that makes sense.
OK, here's we're only trying to get like one or OK.
Give me a stealth check that's going to help us determine how
effectively you are doing this in a clandestine way.
Does that make sense? That's a 22.

(41:35):
OK. Yeah, yeah.
As far as you can tell from yourown observations and the
information you're getting from your network, the Thieves Guild
does not seem to know that something is up.
Well, let me rephrase. They know a little something is

(41:56):
up from the previous week when you were establishing things.
Like they did notice a few of their people go missing.
They just don't have a name or aface.
They don't quite know what it is.
And as you are continuing to establish your Guild and
network, they are still not quite fully knowing, like what's
happening on in their own backyard.

(42:17):
Does that make sense? Yeah.
All right. OK, that's a good week.
Next up is gonna be Thea. Thea.
We've got another free week of time here.
What is Thea up to? Well, well, I'm still recovering
over here from this heartbreak. Oh so sad.

(42:40):
Anyways, it's OK, sorry. OK, so I'm just I've continued
hoping, you know, we're pair of temples sweeping up, you know
all the ash debris rebuilding whatever was broken, you know
that hasn't changed at. This point, yeah, there.
So like there, things have progressed to the repair stage.

(43:02):
Yeah, well, I'm I'm still going and to like wherever anyone
needs help is basically like where I'm going during during
the day. There's there is a place that I
go every night, not far, you know, just outside the edge of
where the light reaches. I don't go to pray, not like how

(43:24):
I used to. But there is this one place that
I haven't told anybody about. It's kind of tucked by the
forest edge. There's no altar, there's no
names, just quiet. When I go there, I take off my
hairpin. It's that silver antler, and I
place it on dirt like it means something.
Maybe it does. Maybe it's just me trying to

(43:46):
hold on to what it used to be. And then I speak.
Not loudly, not to ask for anything, but I tell her I'm
still helping. I'm still rebuilding.
I haven't stopped trying. You listened when the others
didn't, so please don't take them for me.
And that's what that's all I say.
I go there every night in no divine light, no response, just
silence. And sometimes silence feels like

(44:08):
an answer. I'll put the hairpin back or put
it in my pack and I return same as I was, or at least close
enough. And I still care, I still want
to do good. I just don't know what that
looks like anymore. So during the day I'm helping
where I can and at night I'm either a foxed or I'm out in my
little area. Would you like to reveal at all

(44:32):
or keep it to yourself who you are speaking to when when you do
this nightly ritual? Like for the listeners it.
It's been kept secret and it's I'm just leaving it to you if
you would like to reveal who that is, or you can still keep
it hidden to yourself now if youwould prefer.

(44:55):
Well, yeah, I could tell the thethe listeners as I tell her it's
her is Bishaba. She is who I, for lack of words,
like I was saying, I don't, I don't necessarily pray, but
she's who I pray to. She's who I talk to.
And when it when I say I go off like, you know, at night to do

(45:15):
this stuff. It's not, it's not to be alone
or to be away from everybody. It's I don't know, for my own
Peace of Mind, I guess just whatI've I've just now it's like a
ritual. I've just been doing it every
night. On one of the nights that you're
getting ready to head out, have you been like staying at the
apartment that was given to you with your knighthood?

(45:37):
No, no, I, I at night time I normally stay as a fox in the
forest. OK.
So on on one of those days, as you're making your way toward
the forest to change into your fox form, brag or near you're
also out on one of your night patrols and like doing, you

(45:59):
know, doing your tasks that you're doing at night.
And you do spot Thea. She's making her way out of town
towards the. Woods Thea, do you have a
moment? I have a few things I wanted to
talk to you about. I haven't had a chance.
We've all been so busy. But I had, I had some questions

(46:20):
and there's a lot of things going on that I'm trying to come
to terms with it. Depends am IA facts or am IA
person? It's up to you.
I think you were, you would. Still be in person form.
But you tell us. Yeah, yeah.
That was that was just more so ajoke.

(46:41):
Yeah. Brag.
What's up? So I know you saw it, but during
that last fight, I, I guess I kind of sprouted black wings and
things have been hard for me to comprehend.
And I, I, I know I haven't brought it up, but I know you

(47:05):
have a black tail instead of a white 1.
And, you know, I've been having questions about myself and, you
know, I wanted to reach out to you because it seems like you
might be going through somethingas well.
I can't see, I can't see the good in everything like I used

(47:28):
to. And while I still feel like
spreading the word of bark, it the meaning has kind of changed
to what can bark do for me instead of what can I do for
bark. And I know, I know you know a
lot about the gods. Do you pray to bark still?

(47:49):
No, I, I, I don't, I don't, I don't pray to any of those gods
anymore. Who are you praying to now?
I know you. I know you still pray.
Yeah, her name. Her name is Bishaba.
You said you had wings. Brad.
Just I'm assuming that we walkedout of the city while you were

(48:12):
going towards the forest. Bragg.
Bragg goes in. Bragg is going to concentrate
because it's new to him and ESC's.
His eyes kind of fill with blackness and all of the glowing
parts of his skin kind of turn black and shed like a darker

(48:34):
light. And out of his back come the two
large black leathery wings and Igo.
I don't know what's happening tome, but why Beshaba what
happened? It's you were you were ready to
help us build a temple to bark. Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

(48:59):
I I I did shudder a little bit when you did that.
It makes sense. As a.
Visual effect. Creepy.
Yeah. So it all started when I was,
when I was young. I was, I was born in this quiet

(49:20):
little village, you know, tuckedaway.
And, you know, I had a family, you know, weren't powerful, not
wealthy, but we were good. We were devout.
You know, my mother was a paladin, my father a hunter.
I had siblings, you know, a whole world of, of laughter and
mischief and and love. We worshipped all the gods of
light, of luck, mercy, harvest, life.

(49:43):
I used to help clean the shrine every morning.
You know, I thought that God sawme.
I thought they were watching over us.
And then one night the fires came.
There was no warning, no horns, just screams and smoke and blood
on the grass. I was 9.
I ran through the smoke trying to find my my sister's voice.
All's I could hear was her was her voice.

(50:05):
I heard my my father yell my name and when I found him only
his hand was left beneath a broken beam and beside him was
my sister's ribbon. And that's when I saw her.
I didn't know her name then. She stepped out of the smoke
like it was her cloak, all cold eyes like dying stars.

(50:25):
And she smiled at me while the world crumbled.
And then she knelt. She said fate is cruel, child,
but I can show you how to fight back.
Say yes and you'll never be thisweak again.
And I said no, not because I wasbrave, but because I was afraid.
I ran until my lung my my legs gave out.

(50:46):
Eventually a cleric found me days later, like half dead in
the woods and had never told anyone what I saw.
I had buried it. I told myself that it was just
fear, It was just a nightmare. But I couldn't forget that
feeling that the gods I prayed to didn't come, that somebody
else did. So I made a vow.

(51:08):
If the gods of light wouldn't save me, I would save others.
I gave everything to them, everyounce of myself.
I built temples, I buried the dead with honor.
I served all the good gods, not just one, All the good gods.
I, I travelled, I helped build temples in, in, in all all these
cities because I couldn't risk being left behind again.

(51:32):
And I tried, I truly did. I was the hopeful one, the kind
one, the one who still believed. But misfortune followed me
always. And now, after all these years,
I remember her face. She never left.
She's been watching, waiting. The gods I gave everything to,
they turned away, but she listened.

(51:52):
And I made a pact. Not for power, not for glory.
I made it because I was tired, because I couldn't take another
death, another unanswered prayer, another silence.
Where God was supposed to be, Bishabha was there.
When it all burned down. I said no once and but I didn't
say no this time. I'm not who I was, but I am

(52:12):
trying to hold on to what's left.
And I, I need you to know because you and the rest of
everybody, like everyone, matters to me.
You guys, you guys are my family.
You've become my home. You know, each and everyone of
you. Even all this chaos, when I want
to run, when I want to start to fall, you guys pull me back.

(52:34):
So if I seem different, if I'm quieter or colder or struggling
to smile, it's not because I care less.
It's because I care so much thatit hurts.
And I'm still learning how to carry that and survive.
I am surprised that Thea felt this way and that none of us

(52:54):
noticed. And I say I understand how
you're feeling. I myself am losing touch with
who I wanted to be and if you need anyone to talk to, please
reach out to me. I, I have things that I'm doing

(53:17):
that I don't know if the others would agree with, but I'm doing
them my way and I'm making, trying to make sure that no harm
comes to anyone the way I am doing.
I'll tell you more when I feel the time is right, but for now,
I appreciate all that you're doing and the fact that you're

(53:40):
willing to be open about this. And if you need a friend, don't
forget that we are here for eachother and our goal is to, in the
end, stop the crippled God. But I won't take any more of
your time. I know you have things you were

(54:03):
going to do. No brag.
You can, you can say assuming after all that talk like I, I, I
trust brag enough to show to show him where I've been.
Eventually I'll show the the rest of them where I go and I
show them what I do. And yeah.
OK, Pebble. Last but not least, what's

(54:23):
Pebble working on this week? You got me kind of by the short
hairs here. Finally, the place is ready to
be rebuilt, but I'm I'm seeing something that's a little bit
more important because she's hadsome time to think since her
altercations at the bar. So she's been spending her time
recently out by the Grove of bark, the bark Grove name

(54:49):
pending. And she's been doing her best to
talk to Bark to kind of to kind of for, for several reasons, to
kind of get an idea of like whatshe can do to help him and to
prove herself worthy of his help.

(55:10):
And, and, you know, just worthy in general to go home, to be
there for her friends. And, and the thing that she can
think of to do to help the people of Silver Moon and to
kind of make amends to the woodcutters for the Grove.
Is she she wants to try to talk to Bart to see if he can help

(55:30):
make the surrounding accessible trees thicker and provide like
more lumber. Like can you make these trees
grow bigger? Can you can anything that you
can do so that your impact is a +1 for these people who may be
losing their livelihoods becausethis tract of land.

(55:50):
Well, you know that's going to be a religion Trek Pebble.
And you know, I historically do pretty bad at those voice in the
sky if I'm holding bark, can it?No, I'm not even ask.
I will. Throw you.
Through a window. I know you will.
Can can I interrupt? Oh fuck me.

(56:12):
Since he's doing this. For others, what did you roll?
I rolled A3. Sorry.
Go ahead. Brian Grenier, what were you
trying to? Say I was just going to say,
since Pebble is doing this not to impact himself but a plea
herself to help others, would she be able to do it as a

(56:34):
religion or advantage? No Pebble of the three, Sorry,
Brian, I I like where your head's at, but I am so fast and
loose with the advantages with you guys.
Alright, so here's. Here's the deal, Pebble.
Yeah. No, no, no, no.
Forests or trees grow, but you, you dedicate a week, right, a, a

(57:00):
solid week of like dedicated, like meditation or worship or,
you know, whatever, whatever that kind of looks like to
Pebble. And you, you spend a lot of time
in the shrine area And every nowand then someone else comes one
of the like other people that you had earlier evangelized to

(57:21):
and, you know, convinced and, you know, maybe some others who
are just feeling lost and they're like, you know what,
maybe I'll check it out. So like you're, you're not
always alone there, but on one particular night, again, the
scattering of rocks across the sky, you know, maybe pebbles
wondering, I wonder what they taste like.

(57:42):
Probably. You're kind of there meditating
and you're, you're in your bark zone and you are seeing that in
the shrine there. There's kind of like the this
wood effigy of a good Berry Bush.
It was based on what you had described when the, when the
place was being, you know, set aside and sanctified and, and

(58:05):
put to be a place of worship forbark.
And in front of the effigy of bark there is it, it almost
looks like a, a bird bath, right?
Like it's a It's a tall pedestalwith a round dish on top, and
it's filled with rainwater. And there's a night when you're

(58:28):
doing your contemplation and you're staring into the water,
looking at the reflection of theshattered moon above.
And for a moment you see a shapeappear in the water.
And it's not quite a reflection, but it's like another figure in

(58:53):
the water. And with your three, you hear
bark speak to you through the figure in the dioce of water.
And it says you really went to town on those folks for me.

(59:13):
They besmirched you. They hate you.
Yeah, I know what I need, Pebble.
What can I do? Nobody listens to me.
You can be my. Sword and we're going to move.
On the sword. Yep, that's it.
The figure in the water disappears.

(59:37):
Pebble, give me a Wisdom saving throw.
God damn it is this magic. It doesn't matter.
I got a net 20 can bark come back and be nice.
Bark was being nice. Yeah.
Not 20. Yeah, you are convinced
correctly. Bark spoke directly to you all.

(01:00:01):
Right. Pebble you hear Bark speak to
you saying that it wants you to be its sword and with your nap
20 wisdom save you know for certain for absolute positively
certain you have heard the word of Bark spoken to you directly

(01:00:23):
in the Shrine of Bark. Our next aftermath scene is
called second chances. This is a scene that is going to
have Thea Narlawine and Pebble. Thea Narlawine and Pebble, the

(01:00:46):
three of you are down in the city and you are out of the
castle. You're out about just the three
of you are kind of working together.
Or maybe it's a day off. That's entirely up to you guys.
The day has kind of come to an end and the three of you are
finding yourselves in another Tavern, maybe different from the
one that Pebble got into a big fight in and beat up some

(01:01:10):
lumberjacks. You're in another Tavern maybe?
Or maybe you're in the same 1 You guys.
Tell me where? Where are you guys spending this
evening? I'm at wherever they are.
I would probably say I'm not at that Tavern.
I would probably say that the owners of it, the proprietors of
it, would not want me in there. I ain't looking to get beat up

(01:01:33):
by some lumberjacks again. So yeah, for sure.
Different Tavern. OK.
And so while you're there like, you know, based on like kind of
the the previous experiences youguys have had with some of these
aftermath scenes, are the three of you talking about anything
specific I. Don't know are.
We. Want to share with Marlene or

(01:01:54):
Pebble? I don't know.
Hey, hey. He needs more coffee.
Different. Colored tails.
What? What's with your different
colored tails? Well.
I'm pretty sure only one is a different color than the rest of
them, but. Yeah, but if if some of them

(01:02:16):
are. I think that the black one is
natural and the white ones are all a different color.
Yeah, but the one had the white ones first.
Yeah, but I don't trust you. Oh, oh, I think she just fell on
some mud, May. Have fell on some mud, are you?
Dirty. Are you gross?
I could be I might need to take a bath.

(01:02:38):
Is this? As the three of you are
discussing. Is this a goth phase?
The I. Mean it might be I do.
Like blasting purple. Now it's.
Not just. A phase.
It could, it could be bashaba, Idon't know.
Who's Beshaba? Who's Beshaba?

(01:03:01):
I was waiting. For mud to continue.
No, no, no, no, Pebble asked thequestion.
You guys get to enjoy role-playing.
Go ahead. Beshaba is is the the guy I made
a pact with. Wait.
You made. You made promises.
I made what? Like like promises, like a deal.

(01:03:24):
I guess. What about bark?
Well, Ark's still a good God. I just don't praise bark, I
praise Beshaba. Ears start welling up in
Pebble's eyes. Oh, Pebble, don't cry.
As. This.
Happens a one of the street urchin kids staggers into the

(01:03:48):
Tavern. They kind of stagger their legs
almost like their knees don't work.
They're staggering stiffly and they are slowly making their way
between tables, weaving almost unnaturally like around people
as like other like Tavern peoplelike stand up and move out.

(01:04:11):
They weirdly are able to like veer out of the way and keep
their balance and continue to move towards you without ever
bumping into anybody else. Don't give them another drink.
Could the three of you please give me perception checks?
Yes, yes, yes. Yes, I got a 20.

(01:04:31):
Can I do it with advantage? Can I do it with advantage
because they're my height? No.
Oh, OK. My first no of the session.
I got A7 but. All right, Well, Pebble, you're
too short to see anything. But the rest of you can see that

(01:04:55):
the street urchin, the kid is very ragged, like, ratty
clothes. And along with the stiff
movements, you know, at first, Yeah, like Theo, you might think
like, oh, like somebody gave some, you know, somebody gave
some booze to this kid. But you see that it's actually.
Their shoes are worn thin and bloody on the bottom, and

(01:05:18):
they're leaving bloody footprints behind them.
And Thea with your dirty 20, you're realizing that this is a
person who's been walking for who knows how long and has been
traveling. And the street urchin approaches
your table and kind of stands there and looks at each of you

(01:05:43):
and says, have you guys heard the news?
No, but can ioffer you these boots so you put them on your
feet? I don't need boots anymore.
OK, what happened? Well agrees and kicks off her
shoes. I have an extra pair of boots,
Pebble. Oh, no.

(01:06:04):
I mean, I like I anytime I can be barefoot, I'm happy.
Oh, I'll go barefoot. Yeah, I like this.
I like this kid's style. The urchin smiles and says,
yeah, there was a whole town back in the empire.
They were saved by a group of mercenaries, brought a whole

(01:06:25):
wagon of onions to the village that was starving to death.
They made it and that village isprobably going to survive now.
Isn't that great news? That is good thing.
Can I do an? Insight check to see if it feels
like he's being charmed or controlled by anything.

(01:06:45):
Yeah, go ahead, give me a insight or arcana, your choice.
Only one. Definitely something wrong and
as. Assumed.
Realizing. That has no idea, right?
I mean, you can roll if you want.
Well no, I mean she rolled A7 so.
That was on your end. I feel like perception check

(01:07:06):
like if you if. You feel like.
Behaving strangely, you could doan insight.
Wait a minute, maybe shoes aren't that bad.
Well, I almost. I got.
I got 19. Another insight.
Yeah, go ahead. I did roll a net 20. -1.

(01:07:28):
Shut up. All of you know there is some of
this. There is something.
It's not just weary from travel there.
There is something about the kidthat is unnatural, and as this
realization is kind of dawning on all of you that something
else is going on. The urchin smiles and scratches

(01:07:51):
the back of his head with one hand and he says.
The village was saved and I was sent to deliver a message and I
finally get to deliver it. Sarah says to remember that the
Crippled God always gives secondchances.
It is me. Insight checks Pebble as you
like. Sit up tall in your seat,

(01:08:13):
looking across the table down atthis kid Pebble with a Nat 20.
You see that it is actually Sarah's eyes in the street are
good. Sarah, is that you?
The kid smiles once and begins to bleed from the eyes and the
nose and ears. And just says again.

(01:08:37):
Second chances. Second chances for what?
Everybody has time to make one action.
I'm going to say. Where's my spells?
Obviously I'm going to go ahead and go into a rage.

(01:08:59):
I mean not going to straight up attack yet.
The urchin gets even stiffer andfalls flat on their back.
I run over and pick her up or try to.
What does anyone else do? Where can we, where can we find
find Sarah? How do we get to her to save

(01:09:21):
her? The urchin looks at you and
smiles with bloody teeth and says she'll find you.
Sarah does not trying to help her.
I have smile. Now we're going to do a religion
check and say to the urchin, I don't think you can pass it

(01:09:42):
along. But I have a feeling she'll hear
me tell her I'm sorry for how things happened and I hope that
we can fix it. I hope that she wants it to be
fixed. Give me a religion check.
Oh. 3 + 3. The smell of pestilence.
And stench I'm I'm doing flash of genius.

(01:10:05):
So it's going to be a nine, not that it matters.
And I add that relation check tothe what I just said and do my
own religion check. I did say something.
At least not as good as gnarly, you know.
Did the urchin is just smiling at all of you and tries to say
something and you all realize they can't talk because there's

(01:10:25):
too much blood filling their mouth and throat and other.
Members of the table starting. To crowd around.
OK, well get get a straw and suck it out.
One of them. Pushes Pebble and says did you
hurt this kid? What did you do?
You're the barbarian, aren't you?
Dude back. Off she walked in here.
Another Tavern member says you back off.
Look at this kid, what do you get?

(01:10:47):
What? Are you doing here our other
religious check and got a 21? We having a beer and she walked
in. Another person points and says,
isn't that the Prince? Halloween responds What Prince?
Yeah, no, yeah, no, that's the Silver Moon, kid.
I think they're talking about your fingerprints.

(01:11:14):
What? That deserves inspiration.
Yeah, that's pretty good. Halloween responds.
Yeah, I, I'm Halloween. Silver Moon.
Nora Louine, as you say that, you look from them back down to
the urchin, and the street urchin is dead.

(01:11:36):
Well. He didn't choke on her blood
because I turned her to her side, did she?
It didn't matter. Medicine check.
Go ahead. Like do a medicine check.
Stir well, I'm smirk. More and more Tavern members are
crowding around you, making it hard for you to really determine

(01:11:57):
what happened. But the amount of blood coming
out of the eyes, nose, mouth andeverything.
There was some kind of internal hemorrhaging that began to
happen, but that's really you don't see any wounds or anything
that would cause that. I'd point that out to the
townsfolk the the, the other Tavern goers like hey, you know,
she's got no balloons. I, you know, my axe is clean.

(01:12:20):
I didn't do shit here. A few of them start making some
warding gestures. Several of Tavern members leave
the Tavern. What you hear whispers of well,
the Duchess almost married a chaos monster.
Well, yeah. And there I heard that the the
the fox person like they wouldn't accept a blessing from
the all mother. And everybody knows that that's

(01:12:40):
the same Pebble that beat up thelumberjack.
And everybody's whispering and talking and gossiping and more
and more people are leaving the Tavern.
Some of them are whispering about I'll omens.
And you know that this is the this is what happens when the
Duchess almost marries a Chaos fiend, NAR.

(01:13:00):
Louine, you hear? More than a couple times.
Some not nice things being said about your Mama.
NAR Louine's going to go ahead and cast a Thunder Waves on what
I'll I'll cast it on the steel defender just for shits, for
damage and. What does What does Thunder Wave
do? A wave of thunderous force

(01:13:21):
sweeps out from under you. Each creature in a 15 foot cube
originating must make a CON saving throw.
On a failed save, a creature takes 2D8 Thunder damage is
pushed 10 feet away from you. Oh, maybe I don't want to do
this. This might kill all the damage I
need you. I thought this was completely.
Wrong. Oh my God, nothing.
They were. Talking to mom, you got angry.

(01:13:47):
Yeah, rolling 2D8 on a failed save.
Well I have to do a con saving pro.
I'm I'm going to do a roll for the Tavern.
I'm I'm going to handle that. I need to hear what the damage
is to see how much it matters. These. 9 Somebody who's not
involved in this scene, I'm going to say Braggrenier.

(01:14:07):
Go ahead and roll me AD 20 please.
Yes, boss. While he's doing that, I'll go
ahead and read everything else. So on a failed.
Saving. Con save is 14 so me to beat
the. No, that was a luck check for
how many people were in the vicinity of your Thunder wave.

(01:14:27):
Oh God. Well.
Man, I don't know what you want.I just want you to know that all
unsecured objects are complete that are completely within the
area are automatically pushed 10feet away and the spell emits A
thunderous boom audible up to 300 feet.
Yeah. You monster.

(01:14:49):
I do not object to this, I am all right with it.
Shit is like the shutters are blown off the windows and shit
is thrown everywhere. Tables fly across the room and
I'm I'm looking at I rolled 14 D20s and one person got a Nat 21

(01:15:12):
got a 19. There were a couple other there
was 117 and what the the OK Fourpeople passed, 4 out of the 14
passed and they take half damage.
Everybody is blown away from thesteel defender as you unleash
the spell in the middle of the crowded Tavern.

(01:15:33):
People gathered around pointing, yelling, making religious
warding symbols and nerluene as you blast this Thunder wave.
Tables, chairs, beams from the ceiling literally shake loose
and fall the Tavern keeper like ducks and screams behind the
counter. They're the one that got the Nat

(01:15:53):
20 and it becomes a splintered, gory, bloody mess with a lot of
mangled and crippled people thrown about.
And as the thunderous boom shoots down the street in all
directions out of the Tavern, glass shattered and debris from

(01:16:18):
inside the Tavern thrown out into the street, you can hear
shouting and screaming outside, and a loud keening sound from
someone inside the Tavern. Is someone.
One of the ones who managed to survive stands up, their own
eyes and ears now bleeding. They stagger for the door,
trying to get away. I can lay on hands anyone that's

(01:16:39):
hurt. Yeah.
You lay on hands and they look at you like they are trying to
like stagger away from you, saying like don't don't touch
me, don't like. Pebble's got 11 healing potions.
She starts passing them out. Shit, shit, shit.
Sorry guys. No one's.
Talking me. Everyone is backing away from

(01:17:01):
Pebble as well. The three of you here are the
running of footsteps. Outside, you can hear guards
shouting. Pebble knows the routine.
You know, just like last time. She puts her hands behind her
head and turns around. All right, No, I'm just kidding,
guys, We should cheese it. We we should make like a tree

(01:17:23):
and leave. You have a chance.
Yeah, an. Opportunity to to get away.
Well, they know it's us, so either we're going to be
fugitives or you know, Narloin, can you explain yourself?
Nope. I don't think they know it's us.
I think that they just have somebody who said, yeah, I'm
Narloin Silver Moon, who look like me.
I vote. We skedaddle.

(01:17:44):
Yeah, I, I as we run out, I turnit into a fox and disappear.
I I I grabbed one of her tails to to basically get dragged
along ride. My.
Bash along. Let's go ride.
I ride, I ride Thea in wolf form.
Yeah, I'm, I'm as. As Pebble is riding Thea and

(01:18:07):
they basically become one amalgamation, I cast the second
level of visibility spell on both of us.
The scene ends with you all cheesing it and turning
invisible as you exit the Tavernand and are ducking away and you
see city guards kind of running in from all directions.

(01:18:30):
There's a lot of shouts of what happened, are we under attack,
Is it another chaos beast? What happened?
And there are some witnesses whothink they know what happened,
but you all make a clean getawaythis.
Will be a fun for later. They got to succeed on their
persuasion checks in order. No, the guards, The guards, My

(01:18:56):
God. NAR.
NAR. Greg's not the only evil one in
the party anymore. That.
Happened here, but yeah, I said bad things about Narnar's mom
so. Nokomis you I stand alone in in
in followers of bark and and andand the true.

(01:19:17):
I don't know. That was fucked.
Up What the hell? Not a great.
Question. I'm going to move on to the next
scene. Next scene has two people in it,
Nokomis and Braggrenier. Hello.
What's up? Swap Mommy.
It's late, so the two of you were not in the Tavern for this,

(01:19:39):
so I want to ask and I want to hear honest answers.
Thea, did you tell anyone about what happened in the Tavern?
I mean, I, I'd assume we would, we would have told Nikomas and
brag about the traveller that was bleeding and saying second
chances and Sarah and all that stuff.
Maybe not so much that the Thunder wave, but yeah.

(01:20:03):
OK, so you do tell Nikomas and Braggrenier that you were at
that Tavern and that the urchin came in saying those things, but
you leave out the Thunder. Wave I Thea's leaving out the
Thunder wave. That's up to them.
They want to talk about it. But the rest of it, Yeah.
Pebble. Does Pebble tell anyone anything

(01:20:23):
about what happened? I think during that conversation
where we would have been like having a little get together
with us, I'd have been I'd have been agreeing with Thea's story.
Yeah, This is this has been Sarah talking through this
little pints as thing And and and NAR.
NAR. Do you have something to say?
I Pebble kind of like hands on the hips, very sternly, you

(01:20:47):
know, explain yourself. So it's up to NAR NAR if.
What does NAR Lewin? Share if anything.
So NAR Lewin was a really drivenby shame and, you know, kind of
how he grew up, had a lot of it.So he's no stranger to it.
He definitely would have shared it with the party.

(01:21:07):
And you would have almost been able to feel the shame emanating
from him as he talked about, youknow, not being quite aware of
the power and being overcome with the emotions from, you
know, being overwhelmed by this mention of Sarah and what sounds
like this kid dying because of Sarah.

(01:21:29):
And in turn, because he suggested that, you know, maybe
we'll save Sarah later, but we have to give the the antidote,
though he definitely feels a lotof responsibility for Sarah
turning to the crippled God. And this street urchin just kind
of came up and told him, look, all these things happened and

(01:21:51):
St. Urchin just dies right in front
of you and the general population just basically saying
this is all your fault, your, your chaos, your hex, you know,
your whatever. He definitely would have shared
it with the the whole group and been very apologetic.
But I think shame would have been the driving factor.
So with that I need to ask all 5of you, do you keep this to

(01:22:15):
yourselves as a party or does anybody tell Rena the Duchess or
Bertram the Red or anyone else? It's OK if the answer is no.
Would you think that we would, would, would you think it would
be OK guys, if we or would we have heard other, you know, like

(01:22:37):
dissent towards the Duchess overthe weeks and months?
It's been simmering. So if so, I think Pebble would
have pressured somebody to let her know, like the pulse of the
city. You know, I don't think she
would have flat out said what happened in that Tavern or let

(01:23:01):
alone even let anybody know thatwe were there.
But I'm sure I would have like talked to Reno or told Bertram
like, hey, here's the pulse of the city.
These people are not happy with Rena right now.
You're telling me because it it kind of feels like it would make
most sense for Pebble to go to Bertram it, do you think?

(01:23:22):
Yeah, I'd say, yeah, I'd say it would be like one of our, you
know, regular meetings that we always have over, like coffee
and chess, you know, of course. I'm I'm, I'm sidetracking just a
little bit here, but we're goingto do another check.
You're describing this to Bertram.
You're, you're describing the sentiment of the city of Silver

(01:23:45):
Moon and some of these things that keep coming up and the way
that people are acting, the way the guards are acting, the way
the people are acting, the way that you know.
There's. This like.
Of. Course destruction going on.
And Bertram nods, and he moves his Rook across the board and he
says, Well, I'm very aware of pockets or cells of dissent in

(01:24:11):
the city. It's not unusual, but it is more
than usual. Pebble.
Pebble moves her horsey in like a diagonal across the board to
take his Rook and says, yeah, I just, I feel that you need to
know the pulse and pulse of the city, and you're really busy.
So I figured I can help you withthat.

(01:24:33):
You know, people are unhappy. Yeah.
He nods and he like slides his pawn 5 spaces forward to take
your horse and he says Pebble, do you know anything about what
happened at the Tavern last week?
He. Doesn't look at you.
He's studying the board. You're talking about the

(01:24:55):
lumberjacks I told you about. He shakes his head no.
Oh, I heard there was a commotion A.
Lot of people died. I don't know, Bertram.
Roll me a deception with advantage.
He very specifically is not looking at you.
I don't like lying, but I'll take that Nat 20.

(01:25:19):
I feel dirty about it but it's like a dirty Nat 20.
He takes a deep breath and he looks up at you, and he says the
reports are vague at best. The eyewitnesses are far from
reliable narrators and he. Backed.

(01:25:40):
Down at the board and he makes asecond move, sliding that same
pond a couple pieces to the right and puts your king in
check and he looks at you and hesays don't worry, the Queen's
Guard will take care of the whole thing.
OK, I'm I'm glad you guys are onit and I'm glad I can confide in
you, Bertram. And then she slides her queen

(01:26:02):
across the board and says I win.He nods and stands up and says
damn, I'll win one of these games all.
Right out of out of out of character.
How is Pebble winning in chess if you.
Follow any of. Them of them know how to play.

(01:26:28):
I just want to point out I have a dragon chess set.
I literally have a set as one ofmy things.
Yeah, they were playing with Narluene's dragon set.
Pebble brought it out being like, hey, check out this fun
thing. OK, so with that in mind,
Nokomis and Braggrenier, this isyour scene.
The two of you are out in the city.

(01:26:48):
It's late at night is just the two of you, The scattered
remains of what used to be called the moon or shining
bright across the city overhead, stretched out in this long half
a ring that circles the night sky.
What are Nokomis and Braggrenierprivately talking about?

(01:27:09):
Like maybe you guys left the castle, you're out for a night
walk. Maybe you needed to get away
from the loudness, away from thepolitics.
Or maybe the two of you felt like you needed to talk, just
the two of you, after the all ofthe things that have been
happening. So I want to turn it over to the
two of you, Nokomis and Braggrenier.
What leads the two of you out into the city at night?
The Nokomis is, you know, thinking about, you know,

(01:27:32):
everything that just transpired and and kind of confiding and
brag about, you know, the decision about Percival being an
adventurer and how Nakomis needsto go out and adventure.
You know, it's in her whimsical nature to be free and a free
spirit. And she kicks a Little Rock down

(01:27:53):
the road as she's talking. Bragg unpacks all of that.
No, I feel like Greg listens andnods and would you know, I'm,
I'm sorry to hear about you and,and Percival, you know, you 2,
you 2 did really good in that dance competition together.

(01:28:14):
And I I, you know, I know we've only known each other for a
short while, but you 2 seem to be getting along pretty slow.
But yeah, I feel like us being in this town, we're kind of,
we're all stagnating. I, I know after hell, even
during that fight at the bomb, Ifeel like, you know, things have

(01:28:36):
gotten different. Definitely, but.
It is nice to, you know, get outand do what I can to help those
in need and and try to assist the town folk how I can, you
know. Yeah, and, and Nacomis is, you
know, looking around to see if there's things that she can help

(01:28:56):
the townsfolk with, you know, todistract her mind a little bit.
You know, I mean, elves live a very long life.
She knows she, you know, she could come back here someday in
her long life. You know, it's not, it's not
going to be goodbye forever. It's kind of like a goodbye for
now. And I say, you know, the Fatah

(01:29:17):
Lume, which is an Elvish word for goodbye.
For now. I have to explain it to brag.
That's an interesting race. As you're discussing that and
you're walking down the street together, you find you've kind
of come to one of the corners ofwhere upper city meets lower

(01:29:38):
city, where upper class kind of merges to lower class.
And in one of the corners that separates the two distinct
sections of the city, there is akind of forested area.
It's very controlled forest. It's almost kind of like, you
know, National Park style, wherethere's a lot of like, nice
trails even as it leads out of the city.

(01:30:01):
But there's a large section on the edge of city here that is a
large graveyard. And you can see a number of
tombstones that are set up. Some are very old, some are
brand new. And from there, where you're

(01:30:26):
standing in the street, Nokomis, you look into the graveyard, and
in the scattered light from the stones across the sky, you can
see this one standing next to anopen grave, his skeletal form
wrapped up in the tattered cloak.
Nikomas has like the chills kindof run through her body.

(01:30:48):
You know, her guard was a littledown walking, you know, gingerly
with brag down the street, kicking the rock, kind of
sharing, you know, thoughts withhim.
And she sees this one and, you know, kind of her, her stomach
gets butterflies and she gets chills on her arms.
Does Brag notice this? Does he hear the flutter any of

(01:31:12):
the the butterflies? I I would say that it's fair
that like Nokomis, you probably like, miss a step or you might
like, stop and be looking and brag.
You would also see that same skeletal form that you saw.
I think the last time you saw itwas in cave Lantis, right?
Yes. Yeah.
You you are seeing that standingskeleton wearing the old brass

(01:31:35):
armor pieces that cling to partsof its bones.
It's standing animatedly and as both of you are looking Nicomas,
it makes a come here motion withone Bony hand beckoning you.
Nicomas is not a stranger to this figure, so she has some

(01:31:57):
level of trust with with this one.
So she does listen and and, you know, gingerly moves in that
direction. Braggin, are you following?
I I thought speech, you know, Thomas, should I, should I
follow? Yeah, you can come with.
OK, I think Brad follows, but I think seeing a figure, it's kind

(01:32:21):
of it's playing with his his newnewly discovered traits.
I mean, he's like he's following, but he's fighting the
urge to, I guess transform. Was it still new to him?
But he he sees a skeleton and itkind of resonates with his his
shroud. As the two of you approach this

(01:32:46):
one, empty Eye sockets looks at Nokomis, then looks at
Braggrenier, opens its mouth a little and whistling between its
teeth, you can hear that rattling sound of dry leaves and
Nokomis. That's a sound you've kind of
come to recognize as being kind of like a laughter.

(01:33:07):
And this one looks at each of you and says, necromancer fallen
1A necromancer with so little necromancy.
I told you I would help you. Yeah.

(01:33:30):
Nokomis nods, acknowledges what this one is saying, and kind of
understands that they're a little disappointed that I
haven't gone down that path further and explored this kind
of feeling. You know, Nokomis has some kind

(01:33:53):
of dark necromancer parts of herself that she's exploring
and, you know, taking this as aninvitation to kind of dig
further, she tells this one, I apologize.
I had very important business todeal with here and I had to save
many lives. Yes, the chaos it was dealt with

(01:34:19):
and emotions with a hand to the open grave.
And as you look you can see it'sgot like 6 bodies piled up in it
of dead commoners in a very latestage of decay.
And this one looks back at you and says these were uncovered

(01:34:42):
from a collapsed building, not rich enough for their own
graves, so they share a grave. Come closer, Nikomas, and I will
teach you how to speak with the dead.
Nikomas, you know, goes over quickly and, you know, stoically

(01:35:08):
knowing that that this one meansno harm to her.
And Nikomas thinks this is a really neat opportunity because
she's obviously very much in love with life and she's always
sad when it goes away, so being able to speak to the dead might
be something that she's extremely curious about.

(01:35:29):
Nokomis, he shows you the thingsthat have to be done in order to
cast the spell Speak with Dead and takes your hand.
And with one sharp fingernailed tip of his finger, he pricks one
of your fingers and lets a single drop of blood fall into

(01:35:54):
the grave. And he reaches into a pouch and
he sprinkles some ash into the grave and does the needed words
and hand motions and shows you how to do it for you to kind of
follow along and do it with him.And one of the corpses in the

(01:36:15):
grave, their eyes open and theireyes are kind of vacantly
looking around. And this one says speak, speak
with the dead. Wow.
Nokomis understands the hand motions and kind of understands

(01:36:35):
what's going on here and noticesthat she feels very like
ethereal at the moment and like almost like she's crossing into
another plane and she asks the the dead what happened?
How could we have prevented this?

(01:36:55):
The corpse unlocks eyes with youand says, we heard the cannons,
we heard the booming. We thought they were
celebratory, the wedding. And then the roof collapsed.

(01:37:17):
Why did I die? Tears start coming down
Nokomis's cheeks, and she kind of mentally tells us to to brag.
We could have stopped this. We could have prevented this had
we acted faster with the cannons.
Do you answer the corpse directly?
Yes, Nokomis feels a a tremendous sense of grief and

(01:37:42):
apologizes to the corpse and says.
We were on that ship, we were trying everything we could to
stop the cannons from firing, but there was too many enemies.
There was too many enemies. We all almost died ourselves.
The corpse looks at you and blinks and then looks to brag or

(01:38:06):
near and to brag or near says did my family live?
I'm sure they did, and if it helps you, I've been doing
everything I can to help those who have lost loved ones.
Help those who lost loved ones. The corpse sighs once and looks

(01:38:29):
at each of you and says was it worth it?
The alternative was being under the rule of a man who would have
killed people for pleasure and taken more than was lost that
day. Nods a little bit and looks at
Nokomis with the same question in their eyes.

(01:38:52):
No, it's incredibly painful for me to see that innocent people
had to die because of evil in the world, and I would gladly
give my own life if it means I could save every villager or
every commoner in the city, but unfortunately I can't do that

(01:39:15):
now. I would like to look out to
Nokomis and also add this for, you know, the spirit of the
dead. If we hadn't stopped Divan, the
Crippled God would have had a foothold in this Kingdom.
More people would have died. More people would still be

(01:39:38):
dying. The corpse blinks and looks away
from both of you and says Mortivus isn't that bad, worse
could have been worse. And the Speak with dead spell

(01:39:59):
comes to an end, and the corpse falls lifeless again.
And this one leans forward to you, Nokomis, and says good,
good speaking. Now Necromancer animate the dead

(01:40:19):
and guides you through the motions and teaches you the
spell Animate dead. Nikomas is is very uncomfortable
with this. Nikomas, against her better
judgement, follows along and hercuriosity is leading her to this

(01:40:42):
to to continue with the animation.
The same corpse that you had just spoken with stands up in
the grave, standing half in, half out, like just their upper
body can be seen standing out ofthe grave.
And they kind of stagger and like they sway, almost like
they're drunk. But unlike Speak with Dead,
their eyes are empty. They are, per the Animate Dead

(01:41:07):
spell, a zombie. Does Nokomis do anything as she
now controls this dead commoner?Or does she stop there or do
anything else? She recognizes that this is more
of a husk than a being and feelsvery almost disgusted with

(01:41:29):
herself. But she also understands that
maybe there is a time she can use this for good.
But she's not going to have the corpse do anything or the zombie
do anything. Does he put the zombie back to
rest? She does put the zombie back to
rest, yes. As Nikomis is doing that

(01:41:52):
Braggrenier, could you please give me a perception check?
That's a 19. Braggrenier As the corpse lays
back down, this one reaches out and kind of like light, like
lighter than you would expect. Nikomas rests a hand on your
shoulder. And Nikomas.

(01:42:14):
You can now add the spell animate dead and speak with dead
to your spell list of spells that you can prepare in a day.
You have learned these necromancy spells from this one
and Braggrenier as that is happening you look back towards
the city and back towards the street and you see peeking over

(01:42:35):
the edge of this like half tall like hip high stone wall that is
kind of like a you know like a path wall that goes along the
road that you came from. You see three the tops of three
little heads with eyes that are peeking over the wall watching
the two of you in the graveyard. And you look back at Nokomis and

(01:42:58):
this one has dissolved into dust.
And you look back and you see 3 merchants standing there looking
at the two of you in the graveyard.
And with a 19 you know that these are a few of the kids who
report to the other thieves Guild, not yours.

(01:43:20):
I. Cast Thunder Wave.
You going to snap your fingers? I'd like to try to persuade them
to come over and I would, I would ask them, you know, I'd
try to ask them from a distance, you know, were these your
parents or, or do you ask them if their parents are passed?

(01:43:47):
Give me a persuasion check with disadvantage.
Oh, disadvantage. All right, I'm going to add a
bardic to this. I'm telling you before I roll
it. OK.
Oh no, that's a 27. I can add a bardic to it, I
said. No.

(01:44:08):
I said I was going to. That's all right with a 27.
They look at each other and one like peeks up higher over the
wall and says where orphans and two of them dart.
They they take off running but one of them stays and walks into

(01:44:32):
the graveyard closer listening to you and and comes into the
graveyard, but the other two runin two different directions, 1
up and one down the street. I I pulled out 10 silver to hand
to the the child and I say I'm sorry we couldn't save your

(01:44:52):
parents. I hope that gets you a hot meal
and a good place to sleep tonight.
The urchin takes the silvers andpockets them in a couple
different places and looks at you and says I never knew my
parents but like could she bringthem back to life?
I look over at the child and sayit, that's not really how this

(01:45:18):
works. If I brought them back, they
wouldn't really be your parents.Oh well, I will tell you.
Easy come, easy go. I will tell you there are people
out there that are powerful enough to bring the dead back to
life. Yeah, but not you.
There may not be many of them, not yet.

(01:45:38):
But that is that is my goal in life.
That is, that is my my mission to become that powerful.
It's always good to have a goal. How are you going to do it if
you? I don't want to say I'm going to
level up, but I can't say that. I found myself a good group of

(01:46:01):
friends and we have been going around righting the wrongs.
We fought a dragon, we just fought Devon the Grin, we've
fought A hydra and every every fight we feel like we're not
going to make it through, but wecome out a little bit stronger.

(01:46:24):
So even when life has you down, remember that you're stronger
the next day. And if you put your mind to it,
you can do anything. You can be anyone.
What's your name? My name stinks for the hot meal
Mr. and he turns and runs with your silver.
But you feel like the things that you say resonated and Nick

(01:46:46):
almost. Do you say or shout anything
after him or anything else? No, Nicomas just smirks that you
know, she she remembers being young and kind of saw a little
bit of herself in the child all.Right.
So you are able to add those spells.

(01:47:08):
I have marked down a couple things here.
I I think Bragg would talk to Nicomas afterwards.
Sure. And I think.
Just standing alone in a in a cemetery at this point.
Yeah, I would assume Bragg wouldnotice some kind of look on
Nicomas's face when she had summoned the zombie and.

(01:47:31):
Give me an insight check. Oh, nevermind that one.
Nokomis, it is up to you how much you might have been trying
to hide anything that you were experiencing or feeling.
No, I'm not trying to hide anything.
You know I'm going to wear it all out in the open.
OK. Then with with that, even with
an AT1 Bregner, yes, you picked up on it.

(01:47:54):
OK, I feel like I noticed it. And I, you know, you know,
Nokomis, I know that with these new powers, you're, you're
you're our swamp mommy. You're the you're, you're there
to heal people. But it probably feels weird, you
know, doing that. You, you need to take the

(01:48:17):
humanity out of the corpse and look at it more as a way to
protect someone else. Kind of like throwing a noble in
front of you at a party. Get sad in the face.
I, I I just. That was not my proudest moment,

(01:48:40):
reckoning. I, I would like, I chuckle and I
go, I know. And, and here The thing is,
we've all seen each other at ourbest.
And, and as time goes on, we'll all see each other at our worst
too. Trust me, I, I have moments I'm
not proud of. Did you hear about that second

(01:49:02):
assassin? And, and I feel like unless,
unless Nakomis wanted to say something, I feel like we joke
or, you know, Nakomis gives me the cold shoulder the rest of
the night. We we can joke.
Joking is how Nakomis gets by. All right, can I do performance

(01:49:23):
for that joke to see? Yeah, Yeah.
Go ahead. See how poorly it came off?
Like if it was an insult to Nokomis or not?
That's a 15 and. Nokomis that's it's up to you if
if you allow some levity after the fact.
Yes, you. You've.
Probably 15 passes my my levity had ADC of 12 all.

(01:49:46):
Right. That's almost as powerful as my
spells. When?
When? Arcturus Dungeon Master.
OK guys this brings us to the final scene.
This scene includes all 5 of you, and it takes place slowly

(01:50:14):
over the course of the next week.
Where just like what Pebble was describing to Bertram, tensions
in the city continue to boil andcontinue to have more
murmurings, more whisperings. And eventually one of you is

(01:50:34):
walking through the city and you're seeing someone standing
literally, like up on a box talking about the need for
Silver Moon to purge the chaos from its own city.
And that starts at the top. At another time, you're just,
you're hearing people who are nolonger loudly complaining.

(01:50:55):
They're now grumbling and they are gathering.
And more and more of this is building up.
And over time, the castle is getting more and more crowded,
Not by the people of Silver Moonor the peasants of Silver Moon
approaching the castle with the intent of petitioning the court,

(01:51:20):
but more and more of the upper class, the the houses that are
kind of like along the outer rimof the walls that surround the
castle. More and more of those people
have been complaining that they just don't quite feel safe and
that the streets have gotten kind of scary.
And more and more of them have petitioned the court to
literally stay within the walls of the castle.

(01:51:44):
And Rena, realizing that the wealthiest among the city need
to feel safe and need to stay within the city so that they can
continue to be taxed and continue to be part of the upper
class of the city, has allowed more and more of the upper class
to stay in the castle to give them that feeling of security.

(01:52:04):
And all of it comes to a head. And the five of you find
yourselves standing in the courtyard, standing near the
freshly patched and repaired piece of courtyard, fresh mortar
covering the wall and the castle, where the impact of the

(01:52:25):
airship has been repaired by theartificers and the engineers.
And the newly laid grass is lushand dark under your feet, and
it's twilight. The sun has gone down.
There's still that bright lingering orangish rust glow

(01:52:45):
covering the city. And the five of you were called
out because Bertram had called ahad essentially rung the bell
for all hands on deck. And as the five of you come out
to the courtyard, you see that that dark, Ruddy twilight glow
that's covering the city is a little darker and a little

(01:53:08):
redder than usual, and that there are actually a good number
of fires that are burning throughout the city.
You don't know if they're controlled, you don't know if
they're torches or something else, but there's that Ruddy red
glow that is filling the night sky as the sun is getting
further down and the twilight isapproaching darkness.

(01:53:32):
And inside the courtyard with all of you is Rena, standing on
the balcony of the second floor of the castle, looking down to
the courtyard and the people. Bertram the Red is on the back
of one of the horses, riding up and down the rows of ranks of
the remaining palace guards, whoare also standing in formation,

(01:53:54):
many of them with crossbows, many with halberds wearing their
full armor. Nakomas, you do see also
Parsival sitting on a horse as aofficer of the palace guard, bit
of scruff on his face, looking. You know what?
Give me a perception check, Nakomas.

(01:54:15):
Got it, Advantage or no? Just flat.
That is a 19 + 5 for a 24 parsival is.
Drunk. He is, oh parsival.
He is swaying in his saddle and in fact, you see he's got a
wineskin like looped up on his belt.
And he leans over and he talks to one of the guards and gets

(01:54:37):
them like re re situated into another part of the courtyard.
And he sits up straight again, and he sees you looking at him,
and he pulls the wineskin off his belt and holds it up like as
a salute to you, and takes a long swig off of it.
And all of you can hear outside of the closed gate, the iron
bars lowered. More and more people are

(01:55:00):
gathering outside the castle walls, clambering in front of
the portulus, and they are holding signs.
Some of the signs say no more sky toys.
Some of the signs say silver forgraves, some say Justice for
silver moon. Some say peasants pay for nobles

(01:55:20):
meals. And they are picketing and they
are yelling and they are shouting angrily outside the
gates. Bertram is rushing his horse up
and down the ranks of very nervous guardsmen.
The five of you are kind of scattered, dispersed among the
ranks. And like also in like Knights

(01:55:40):
positions. You're not just regular palace
guards. You are actually Knights of
Silver Moon. So all of five of you do hold
kind of like positions over somesquads that are throughout the
courtyard. And you can see the people are
shouting and chanting and the anger of the city is reaching a
flashpoint. All right, I just want to, I

(01:56:02):
just want to put this in there. Bragner found and recruited
Phil, Ted and Bill the Hedge Knights from the tournament.
OK, Yeah. Those are his left.
Yeah, in in your little squad, you got Phil, Ted and Bill.
They're scratching at the stubble of their beards like
1's, kind of like trying to fix the armor on his like, shoulder

(01:56:24):
piece. And they're, they're looking at
you and they kind of got gruff looks on their faces like
they're, they're ready to do whatever happens next.
Bertram is really kind of like riding up and down the ranks,
checking in with each of the nights, making sure everyone's
holding steady and trying to like, give information as he's
getting it. And he's trying to get
information from other people who have come into the courtyard

(01:56:45):
before it was closed. So he's very much rushing back
and forth and busy. And the rest of the guards are
all kind of muttering and nervous.
And what is boiling outside of the gates is a full on riot.
And we are going to do the finalcheck of the aftermath.
And we're going to do it a specific way.

(01:57:08):
Each of you is going to roll AD 20, and I will allow you to roll
any skill that you can narratively justify as the skill
you want to use for this group check.

(01:57:29):
What is the goal? Bertram is checking in with each
of you as he's going up and downthe ranks, and he says we have
to try to defuse this. If those peasants decide to try
to scale the walls, if they try to attack, it is going to be a
bloodbath. We have to try to defuse the
situation. And the five of you and Parsival

(01:57:53):
and Bertram being the few remaining Knights of Silver
Moon. Rena looking from the balcony
overhead in the castle, looking down into the courtyard at her
men and at the peasants of her city.
Each of you, if you want to, this is important.
You have to decide for yourself if you want to try to defuse the

(01:58:17):
riot. And you can do one of three
things. You can choose to roll to defuse
the riot. You can choose not to roll at
all. Or you can choose to roll to
incite and encourage violence, whether that's with the men in
your squad or taunting the peasants, or doing something

(01:58:39):
that initiates the peasants to do something.
I need each of the five of you to take a moment and think to
yourselves, what is your character doing in this
climactic moment with all of thepeople of Silver Moon near the

(01:58:59):
boiling point of rioting? And also think what skill you
are going to roll, whether it's for, against or not roll at all.
And I want you to think of how you're going to justify what
that is. Whether that's persuasion,
nature, intimidation, it is up to you.
As long as you can narratively defend it, I will allow it.

(01:59:22):
We're going to take a 5 minute bio break.
Everybody get a second to collect your thoughts and decide
what you're going to do. I say we sent Pyro out there.
He does Thunder wave and a story.
The only thing that I have anything decent with his
athletics, so like, I mean. Religion.

(01:59:45):
I've got plus zero to rule I'm I'm legit leaning towards
praying to bark but bark and is changing.
Here's here's the thing. Before we before we take a short
break, I'm going to tell you guys.
I have a list here of good checkmarks and bad checkmarks of

(02:00:08):
all of the things that the five of you have done.
Through Aftermath Part 1 and Aftermath Part 2 and those good
and bad are going to count towards the total group check
there is. Also a.
Very long list I have here of neutral things that we are going

(02:00:32):
to roll and see how many of themfall good and how many of them
tip bad. Pebble has finally done good,
and we've done good and brag. Give, Bartix, says the
lumberjacks when we come back. Everybody will be able to do one
single thing to help with their role, whether to help themselves

(02:00:55):
or someone else. Or again, you can do nothing or
you can be rolling however you are deciding you want to roll.
So that NAR Louine, if you are angry at the peasants in the way
they've been treating you and your mom like Arlene, you could
be ready to incite violence. You could be ready to put the
peasants in their place. It is up to you.
Braggrenier as lawful Evil, It is up to you.

(02:01:17):
Would more rioting and more chaos benefit your growing
thieves Guild? Would more chaos profit you
more? It is up to you, Pebble.
Are you wanting to be a force ofgood and love of bark?
Or do you want to be a show of force that puts people back in
their place and coerce them intoseeing the power of bark and

(02:01:42):
wanting to worship bark out of fear?
Arcturus, it's up to you. Are you blaming the people for
all of the rumors that they caused separating you and
parsable from each other? Or do you celebrate life and you
want to try to prevent a catastrophe?
All of these things I want the five of you to think about.

(02:02:03):
Like I said, we're going to take5 minutes.
We're going to start now. You can talk amongst yourselves,
you can chat, chat in your private group if you want
without me. And when we come back from our
short break, I am going to tell you what the DC is and we're
going to figure out how many good you have, how many bad.
And we're going to do some rolesfor the neutral, OK?
Now now, this is a very important question.

(02:02:26):
How much XP are peasants? We will find out.
That was that was a pure joke. I'm sorry.
We'll find out. I don't know.
Your joke's been hitting. Maybe your joke's been hitting.
Don't pee. I feel like mine is full of pee.
It needs to be so bad. I did tell that kid I'd do
whatever to get. Stronger.
I just, this is a very pivotal moment and I want to give

(02:02:49):
everyone the opportunity to really kind of either think
privately or talk amongst yourselves what you're going to
do and how you're going to do it.
I didn't want to rush your decisions, so I'm going to mute
myself and deffen for 5 minutes. The five of you have your time
to choose what you do and how, and then we're going to come

(02:03:09):
back to it. OK, 7 minutes.
Do you guys need? No, it hasn't.
Yes, it has. No, I don't know.
I think we're doing. It let's do it.
Fuck it. Fuck it, let's roll.
Fuck it, we ball. Doing it live.
I mean. It's it's all.
Try to defuse the situation, butI'm not going to fight the

(02:03:31):
peasants. Oh, you could always stay
neutral if you want. Don't let us push you into
anything. Yeah, I'm not.
I'm not. I'm not fighting peasants.
Neutrality in. Different sections of the
courtyard. OK.
All right. I have a couple things to share
with you guys before we start going down the list.

(02:03:55):
Each of you one by one to decidewhat you were doing and how.
So I'm going to tell you guys I have been keeping track through
the entire aftermath situation and you have 8 positive points
for doing. Good.
Is that all the gold Brag passedout?

(02:04:16):
And you have 11 negative points. That has.
Happened in the aftermath and itis not just NAR and R and a
Thunder wave that did get you a couple ticks.
It did not get you 14 ticks, butit did get you a couple.
And I have 19 neutral points where you did a little good, a

(02:04:39):
little bad. It was kind of like, you know,
middle of the road. Did you know?
I really was kind of tracking like this could kind of go
either way. And So what this has balanced
out to is a -3 overall that is going to go towards the total
group check. Well.

(02:05:00):
And then? It's like golf rules, right?
After the five of you do your rolls, we are going to roll the
neutrals together to see how many fall positive and how many
fall -5050 chance on the neutrals.
And I'm going to tell you guys this.
I we we were joking about it before the session started where

(02:05:23):
I said I was doing a lot of math.
Yeah. I'm I'm debating if I should
tell you guys what the DC is forthis.
You already did before the section.
I suggested a number, but that wasn't necessarily my final
number. In the spirit of fairness, do
the five of you want to hear what the DC is and will that

(02:05:47):
affect? What?
You choose to do. It's not going to affect what I
choose to do. It's yeah, I don't, I don't need
to know. Yeah, knowing doesn't change
the. Roads need to know, OK?
I have it written. Down I want, I want to keep, I
want to keep everybody in suspense.
I have it written down and I will send you the picture of it

(02:06:09):
here on on my notes so you can see.
They choose to look or not right.
We'll, we'll, I'll show you guysafter the roles happen.
We'll, we'll, we'll see this, this could go a lot of different
ways. Who would like to go first?
Fuck it, Grand Verner will go first.

(02:06:29):
OK. I think Wow was very set.
In her ways, too, I I like Wow, had a very she knows what she's
going to do. Whoever wants to go first.
Yeah, I go Wild West. Oh, OK, move this.

(02:06:50):
So my school is is going to be religion and I have, I guess, a
speech for like the riot. I I would hope that I can say
stuff and they'll hear it. I'm assuming that's like what
we're doing. So if you want the rioters to
hear you, you have to do one of two things.
You have to go up to the gates where the rioters are shouting

(02:07:14):
and picketing, or you have to goto the top of the walls.
There are ladders all along the inside walls and you would have
to go up the ladders to speak over the edge of the castle
walls down to the other side. It's your choice.
I guess I'll just, I'll go up tothe gate, I guess.
OK, so they can everyone can hear me, right?

(02:07:37):
The people in front of the gate can definitely hear you, but
there's a lot of shouting, pushing, shoving, chanting
there. There's a lot going on.
All right, well, I hope. I hope I'm talking about shout
in the microphone right now, butI hope everyone can hear me when
I I scream. Please stop.

(02:08:00):
I know you're afraid. I know that you're angry.
We all want to drive out of the chaos that's been tearing the
city apart. But listen to me.
This is what you're doing right now is chaos.
We helped rebuild the city. We patched broken stones with
our own hands, walked through these streets in ash and blood,
and then silence. And I can tell you this, it's

(02:08:21):
not monsters or magic that's breaking us now.
It's fear. It's turning on each other.
It's thinking we can fight chaosby becoming it.
You want to protect your homes? Then stop tearing them apart.
The chaos that haunts this city doesn't come from shadows.
It comes from here. And I point to my chest from
hearts that give in to hate and fear instead of hope.

(02:08:43):
So choose something else. Choose to stand together.
Choose to walk away. Let this be the night we ended
the cycle, not the night that wefed it.
The city's been through too much.
Don't let your fear right the next chapter go home to your
families. Hold them close tonight.
That's how we fight this chaos. Not with fire, but with each
other. How does this I?

(02:09:05):
Fucking fuck. Tie into.
Religion I enrolled, huh. What I I was just asking how how
this ties into religion. So for Thea, I don't know she's
thinking of because of the the chaos, the crippled God, the
shadows are Bishabha, but she's not about to say it out into the

(02:09:28):
crowd. But it's, I don't know the they
all have their beliefs and theirgods and they all, I'm assuming
they all pray for their for goodand for the families and all
that stuff. OK, I'll allow it.
If that makes sense. What did you roll?
A bad score. I got a 13 total.

(02:09:51):
I'm writing down 13. You give this impassioned speech
and a few of the people in frontof the gate hear.
You're shouting and some are listening.
Who is going next? I can.
Go ahead, double. OK, so bear with me here because

(02:10:15):
I'm not quite sure how this is going to play out, but do we, do
we still have Bertram, I'm asking you sort of do we still
have any of Devon's men left in the in the cells?
And if so, can you bring bring them up here please?

(02:10:38):
That's a really good question. It's been months.
Right. Yep, I need at least one.
I'm going to ask you to roll me totally separate from the group
check. I'm going to ask you to roll me
a luck check on a 15 or better. There is one still alive.
OK God damn 9. All of Devon the Grin's men have

(02:11:05):
been summarily tried and executed.
Well shit, there goes my plan. All right.
So. I'm going to ask Pebble, you
stick with it. What?
What is Pebble doing? You ask Bergeron and he says no,
they're they're all executed. They're gone all.
Right, Pebble? I'm assuming she's riding Molly.

(02:11:28):
So she hops up on Molly or she she yeah, yeah, yeah.
Molly's her horse rides up ridesup, has Molly right up to the
wall. She leaps off of the the back of
the horse onto the ladder to getup to the top of the wall to
speak to these people. You know, like just one handed
it boom boom up at the top of the wall athletics check at.

(02:11:51):
Your at the gate you saw the thegang of people pressed up
against the bars shouting and yelling and chanting Pebble.
From your point at the top of the walls, you can see it is a
sea of people. It is a it is not just a crowd,
it is the city. And from because you chose to go

(02:12:12):
up the walls, you can see that further back out of earshot
there are people. Some have pitchforks, torches
and some have ladders. Yeah, I should think she relays
this down. She says, hey guys, it's like
all of them. Like all of the all of them.

(02:12:33):
Yeah. So I think she shouts.
Yeah, she shouts. I need everybody here to stop
shouting for a second and fucking listen to me as loud as
she can. And hopefully that shuts them up
for a second. Similar to the a few of the

(02:12:56):
people that are immediately under where Pebble is shouting
look up and you have some people's attention.
She to to to get more attention. She takes her axes and and bangs
them against the top of the wallagainst the stone to to try and
like ring a bell to get people to.
Listen, more people, look up. You're not going to get the
whole crowd's attention. Damn it, you've got.

(02:13:20):
People looking at you, they wantto know what you're going to
say. Do you guys need to understand
how bad the Chaos God, the Crippled God, actually is?
We have faced him, we have seen him, we have fought him through
one form or another. This is what gripped Devin

(02:13:42):
Daedric and twisted his mind against Rena.
He tried to take over your city.Had we not stopped him?
Had we not done what we had to do?
Yes, some people lost their lives, but to any battle,

(02:14:04):
whether inward or outward, the chance for casualties is always
great. You need to understand we did
everything we could for the sakeof the city, not against the
city. Rena is a very capable leader
and you guys would be worse off had we not fought Devin.

(02:14:28):
What is Pebble rolling? Athletics, I guess, for the
climb and the clang. I I mean, and, and the
fervourness of her voice, you know, like it's she is shouting
as loud as her tiny little lungscan help.
And that's got to be in for an athletic feet, right?

(02:14:48):
I said if you can defend it, I'll give it to you.
That's a little thin, but I'll I'll allow it.
Yeah. Well, go ahead and.
Make your roll. 19. OK.
I'm helping. Who's next?

(02:15:10):
Bragg, we'll go next. I was going to go last, but I
was muted when I said it. So anyway, I have a question
real quick. Yeah.
How wide is the gate? You know, the the gate is wide
enough that carts and like heavytraffic are meant to be allowed
to pass through it. So I would say probably a good

(02:15:34):
like 20 feet wide. Like it's it's it's a huge
ornate gate. OK, then I will not cast
Lehman's Tiny Hut there. OK, well that's all Brag.
No, I'm kidding. Brag Rainier is also going to
climb up on the wall, get next to the Pebble, and piggybacking

(02:15:58):
off of Pebble. Brag is going to cast Minor
Illusion to both make his voice carry and also to show an image
of the kind of the chaos cube. But also if I can do like a
flicker and have it showing the image of divine with the the

(02:16:22):
crippled God like aura coming out of him.
And you said that we all saw a minor illusion.
Yeah, minor illusion. Oh, OK, I was just going to say
if you want to, it's going to bethat object.
Yeah, it's got to be an object. Well, I will still use it to

(02:16:43):
create an image complex, but I'll still use it to make an
image of the the chaos cube slash sword that is an object to
show them. Yeah.
And I will bellow at the top of my much larger lungs.

(02:17:03):
And without going into, you know, a long rant, we'll try to
tell them about Devon and who hewas, where he came from.
But mainly I'm going to focus onthe fact that Devon was being
given power from the Crippled God.

(02:17:24):
That is why he was able to get into the hierarchy.
It was not Rina's failures or shortcomings.
It was all of ours for not noticing the presence of an evil
deity inside of our city. So while lives were lost, we
still won out at the end of the day by preventing the crippled

(02:17:48):
God from getting a foothold in your town.
Please give Rina and her family one more chance and try to
remember the good that they've done in the past and forget
about the past. How long has it been?
Six months? A year?

(02:18:10):
I'm assuming Bragg would know the timeline of how long Rena
and Devon have been together. So the aftermath has taken place
over the course of about 3 months, and Rena and Devon had
been together for roughly a year.
So I'll, I'll say let's let's try to move past the past three
months and remember what life was like 2 years ago, three

(02:18:37):
years ago. Elves are long lived.
This is just a short blip in your life.
And I will try to persuade them that it was not Rina's fault,
but it was an evil deity. Yeah.
Roll that that nine check. Oh God, mud, you just.

(02:18:57):
All of your character sheets. You just jinxed the crap out of
me. I know you did.
What did you what? Did you nail?
On that one. I blame mud.
I blame mud, I said. He jinxed me.

(02:19:19):
I said it before I rolled that dice.
What's the? Golden Rule.
All right, listeners, complain in the confidence.
Of an extra. One hashtag Blame mud.
Hashtag blame mud, Oh my God. Brag Rainier.
OK. I, I, I, I feel like, well,

(02:19:42):
this, well, this, I, I feel like, well, Bragg is saying all
of this. His his evil demonic wings just
sprout from his back without himknowing.
Oh, absolutely, Absolutely they do.
Something else is going to happen.
We're going to come back to it. Who is going next?

(02:20:06):
Jesus Smurfy. Well.
It can't get any worse. Famous last words so.
I'll go next. OK, Yeah, go ahead, Nick Gomez.
OK, so Akoma's, you know, being chaotic good kind of resonates
with the protesters. So she goes into bird form and

(02:20:30):
quickly puts herself up on top of the wall and then unbird
forms to, you know, go back intohuman form or sort of elf form.
And then on the top of the wall, she proclaims to the common
folk. Listen, listen.
I used a noble as a meat shield to protect myself when we were

(02:20:50):
fighting evil. I understand what's going on
here and this isn't the way. We can fight tyranny together
and we can talk to the noble people.
I understand your concerns, but I promise you we were had
everyone's best interest in mindhere.
Had we done nothing, everyone would have died.

(02:21:14):
And what are you rolling, Nakomis?
I'm going to roll a like religion praise bark.
You shout, praise, bark you. Mean and I roll the 13.

(02:21:36):
OK to be fair since it's a groupcheck, my Nat one was still a
10. We're we're going to we're going
to talk about it. 13 OK, Nara Louine that that leaves us with
you. Nara Louine's going to go ahead
and you know, jump, climb, run, ride the steel defender,

(02:21:59):
whatever to getting to the getting to the top, getting to
the top of the castle, to the wall where he stands alone with
nobody within 30 feet of him. And he just looks down at the
crowd and he looks around. He has to take it in.
He looks sees Braggoneer and hisdark wings standing.

(02:22:21):
He looks over at Nokomis, telling the crowd how she used a
noble as a meat shield and watches Pebble pleading as her
black tail swigs in the wind. And he I have a question for for
narrative's sake, can I cast a spell and then and then I'd be

(02:22:45):
able to roll something, right? Like I can cast a spell and then
my role be Arcana. I said that everybody gets a
chance to do one thing, so your one thing can be casting a
spell. OK, so I'm going to go ahead and
cast Thunder Wave to get everybody's attention within 300
feet and nobody's within 15 feetof me.

(02:23:07):
OK, and you are at the top of the walls, so it doesn't extend
down to the people. You get a large group of
people's attention as the thunderous boom shoots out
across the crowd. And so I will now yell out to
the crowd as loud as I can, having their attention, hoping
that I can talk to a few. And I start to kind of regale

(02:23:32):
the history of the Silver Moon Estate and say how this has been
a proud and strong and safe place for a tremendous amount of
time. And recently there's been
turmoil, and I understand that nobody feels safe and it's real.

(02:23:53):
It's understandable why they don't feel safe.
Wyverns that we can't wrangle, chaos and worms that become
other things like hydras. We have been under a lot of a
lot of evil powers. And I have to say it coincides

(02:24:16):
with when my group got here. And I think that we are all
well-intentioned and we wanted to keep everyone safe, but it's
undeniable that our actions havesomehow negatively impacted a
lot of people. And with that, I think it's only
right for Rina to banish me for a period of time that this great

(02:24:41):
Kingdom can rebuild and be safe again under the harmonious
Silver Moon rule. Equal for all.
And I will do a history check. Go ahead.
Do you need to defend it? You said specifically that you
were retelling the history of Silver Moon, so I I'm down with

(02:25:03):
it. That would be a 18 + 6 for a 24.
OK. I didn't even ask to flash her
genius. She should be proud of me.
I let you pick a thing. All right, everybody 13.
Pebble is just searching for this tail that she apparently
has. Did I say Pebble when I went

(02:25:25):
Thea? Yeah.
You did, yes. It's OK.
Oops. I was just letting it ride.
Yeah, together you all rolled 70A.
Gnat 1 is a gnat 1 is a gnat 1. You had eight good ticks and 11

(02:25:46):
bad for a -3, which brings you to 67.
Who would like to roll the firstfive D 20s?
Me. I would.
No, don't let not brag. No, no.
Comas got it. I was going to say I have to
redeem myself. Wait, no comas?

(02:26:07):
Got it. I don't even know what he means
by that. I got to roll 5 D 20s.
I heard him first or Nicomas. Wait, I heard Nicomas first so
go ahead. 5 D 20s even numbers are positive.
Odd numbers fall negative. I rolled 5 D 20s.
So I see 12:11, 6/13/15. So 2. +3 negative for a net -1

(02:26:40):
uh. Oh.
Right 2 - 3, negative 1. Yeah, that's accurate.
Who would like to roll? I'll go next.
Five D 20s. I will.
I waited for you to finish. OK, go ahead.
Hey, that's 4 even 5 evens. No, 4 evens one.

(02:27:02):
That one. Odd.
No, try again. 33 even. There we go.
That's a net +1. Sorry, I was reading off the
dice. They looked like sixes.
That's OK a 9A12A6A9A20 who would like to roll the last

(02:27:24):
four. Oh, dead last one.
These are the last four neutral D 20s.
I'll do them 4 Yep. Oh bark, be with me.
It's a little late for that. No two and two.
Net 0. So how do I get my not 20 out of

(02:27:50):
the way? That came out to the all the
neutrals came out perfectly neutral -1 + 1 and 0.
So the 70 combined group role turns to a 67.
I mean, surely it's like ADC 15,right?

(02:28:11):
So I did the math of what everyone's average role would be
individually and combined and itcame out to 105.
So I set the DC to 100 to put itin your favor.

(02:28:33):
Way off. Yeah, there's some funky math
going on there. How How would be?
How'd the? Average of 105.
By adding everybody's highest ability score to the average of
AD 20. Average of AD 20 is 10 1/2.
Everybody had plus fives plus sixes.

(02:28:55):
Bragriner had a + 9. And then also I was considering
things like additional bonuses like Motive, Genius,
Inspiration, and we didn't. Use any of that and we didn't
use any of that. You guys got we're idiots 87

(02:29:17):
we're idiots. Well, I guess there's going to
be a parole. Thea I ran away.
You Thea runs away. No, no.
You can. No.
Thea. Jesus.
Front of the gate are shouting and some of them begin throwing

(02:29:39):
rocks through the gate at you and others are rushing up with
two by fours and crowbars and things that they're hooking the
gate with and trying to wedge and lever it upward.
Anyone who's near the gate can see that the mob is pushing and
pulling and leveraging the gate open.

(02:29:59):
From the rooftops, Pebble and the comas, you can see the
people shouting angrily up at you, more and more torches being
lit, and more and more commonerswith ladders and others with
long coiled ropes with hooks on the end approach the walls.

(02:30:19):
And the next thing you know, Nokomis ladders are slamming
against the top of the wall nearwhere you're standing, and
people below are beginning to climb, some with kitchen knives,
some with pitchforks, some with torches, and more and more
ladders slide up against the wall and Pebble.

(02:30:40):
You're seeing the same thing as some people are throwing hooks
up the wall at you. And some people are.
Starting cutting ropes and and ladders.
Braggrenier, one of the grapplesin the middle of your speech is
thrown up towards the wall and hits you square in the face,

(02:31:02):
right between the eyes, and Bragrenier falls forward off the
wall into the crowd. Featherfall, you are
unconscious. Boy, you know when he says don't
roll up in that one he freaking means it.
Unconscious and falling from a wall.

(02:31:25):
What happened into a mob of people who want to kill us?
What happens next is a mob of people who begin to storm the
walls, and they push and pull. At the gate, Bertram is shouting
for all of the guards to hold steady, and Parsival takes
another long swig off of his wineskin, throws it to the

(02:31:46):
grass, and says it's all right. We can show these ungrateful
wretches what it means to stand up against the Dutchie, to try
and fight the Silver moons. And he rides up to the gate
where they're starting to leverage it open.
He levels a crossbow, and he shoots A commoner through the
neck. Oh.

(02:32:07):
My God, Parsimal. And the commoner falls dead to
the ground, and the crowd outside the walls surges and
seethes, and what takes place next is a bloodbath as people
pour in through the gate. Thea, you're quickly surrounded,

(02:32:28):
but they're just commoners. They're peasants with knives and
and pitchforks and torches and things.
And you get cut, burned, beat upa bit, but you and your
detachment begin to fight back on the walls.
Pebble, you're kicking ladders and people are falling, some of

(02:32:50):
them to their deaths as they fall the distance to the ground,
falling into the sea of bodies. And more ladders go up and the
walls are quickly overrun. And more people are starting to
pour down over the walls. And pebbles, same thing.
You're fighting, pushing people over the edge of the walls,
trying to defend yourself, looking for Braggrenier who fell
down below into the seething mass of bodies.

(02:33:13):
And from the rooftops, more of the palace guards also rush up
next to Nokomis, firing crossbows and some of them
firing flintlocks down into the crowd, with booming, exploding
black powder filling the darkening night sky.

(02:33:33):
People scream, people die. Some of the guards also are
swarmed by mobs of people and peasants who swarm in.
But as the fight carries on through the night, Bertram
rushing his horse up and down the group clubbing person after
person, trying not to kill them but trying to knock them

(02:33:55):
unconscious if he can in a rage himself, trying to contain it
after all the violence he himself has committed.
As the battle rages through the night, all the light from the
setting sun is gone and flames envelope the city as wave after
wave of commoners surge the gates and walls and are repelled

(02:34:18):
surge again and are fought and shot back and the angry mob
turns on itself. As chaos rips through the people
and the city, more buildings like fire looting begins.
The people turn on each other, not sure who they're fighting,
just that they know that they want blood.

(02:34:40):
Well hours into the night the commotion of rioting, of
shattering glass, screaming, shouting and flames can be heard
all through the city. And finally, after hours, things
grow quieter at the gates and the walls as the anger and

(02:35:01):
attention of the mob turns away from the castle, seeking out
easier prey, easier targets to vent their anger towards
Narlaween. You look up over your shoulder
and you finally see your mom turns and leaves the balcony and
walks back into the castle, having watched everything

(02:35:23):
Braggrenier. You wake up after some time, not
dead. I'm not going to make you do
death saving throws. But you find yourself among a
sea of unconscious, dead and crippled bodies of all the
people that were repelled back away from the walls where all

(02:35:44):
the ladders that are shattered on the ground around you.
And you are able to make your way to the gate and it's quickly
opened and you're pulled back in.
And the barricaded gate, which has been badly warped and rent
out of position it it won't actually keep anyone out except

(02:36:04):
for the extra pieces of wood andbarricade that have been piled
up against it to try and repel anyone from getting in.
Bertram rides his horse up and down the courtyard again, many
of the palace guards standing among the dead bodies of
rioters, some of the guards alsonow dead.

(02:36:27):
Bertram's face is just a mask ofgrief.
He rides up near the group and he wipes a hand across his
bloody face and he says, we tried, we did our best.
The city of Silver Moon is a inhospitable place.

(02:36:48):
In the following days, all of you are encouraged to stay
within the castle walls, that it's unsafe for any guards or
Knights of Silver Moon to leave the castle area.
And after the first day comes and goes, and the rioting has
mostly mostly boiled down to a simmer, Rena calls the five of

(02:37:14):
you to join her in one of her council rooms in any turn or
order any of you would like. What are each of the five of you
experiencing in this moment? Memory loss brags, can cut.

(02:37:36):
Abel is tearing herself up. Abel is at like a complete loss.
Like why? This is what happens when mob
rule takes over, when emotion, since she sees in the crowd what
others has seen in her in her past, you know, when anger and

(02:38:00):
hatred and fear kind of take over and she.
She kind of ponders out loud. I'm assuming they're all
everybody's kind of like together.
Yeah, they're all in there. But she kind of ponders.
Yeah, she kind of ponders out loud.
This seems to be what exactly what the Crippled God wants and

(02:38:24):
was aiming for was the downfall of the city.
Would this have been fueled by chaos energy?
As Pebble is pondering that, what is anyone else thinking,
talking? It's just the five of you in

(02:38:44):
this room. A very still drunk parsable
Bertram the Red is there. Torque is actually standing in
the corner as well. Rena has not yet arrived.
All of you are waiting for her to arrive after having been
summoned. Is anyone else thinking anything
specific or talking anything? No Halloween stuff.
They're going to go to both Bertram and Torque, basically

(02:39:08):
ignoring Parsville and his drunkenness, but talked to the
two of them and kind of expressed the a bit of the shame
at what's happening at his childhood home and also asked,
do they think that there's anything savable here?
I think that maybe it's time formy father to be brought back.
You know what? What can be done to kind of pull

(02:39:32):
us back from this plunge of darkness?
Tork and Bertram look at each other and Tork nods and he says
we have been trying for months to try and reach her father to
bring him back. He ignored most all of the
messages. He did write one letter your
mother received it and she did not tell any of us what it said.

(02:39:55):
And Bertram nods and he puts a hand on your shoulder and he
says don't worry, little Silver Moon, the city is hurting right
now. But as bad as it seems, these
things have a way of working themselves out eventually.
I trust you. He grins, and he goes.

(02:40:16):
It's not pretty, and it won't beeasy, but this is certainly not
the end of Silver Moon. The city will prevail.
About. How about Thea?
Anything going through Thea's head?
Yeah, she's, she's pretty upset. She's mad at herself because

(02:40:36):
she, you know, she had a feelingfrom the very beginning that it
was Devin. And maybe, maybe if she could
have figured it out sooner, you know, none of this would have
happened. So she's upset with herself and
she's upset with the fact that after everything just happened,

(02:40:57):
we all just took these last three months to help rebuild
everything and to help everybodyand everything from what she had
said from that night of there, you know, we're creating this
chaos right now and we need to stand with each other.
And they didn't. And they just turned around and
just started killing everybody. Like, she's upset because she's

(02:41:19):
just, she doesn't like all this death and she's not evil, but
she's mad. She's not upset.
She's mad. None of it should have.
None of it should have happened. Is she talking about how mad she
is to anybody, or is she outwardly showing or expressing
that to anyone? Oh yeah, she everything I just
said. I'm kind of like I like a blow

(02:41:42):
up. I guess when someone just like
held it in so much and she's she's just letting it all out.
Like I said, met herself mad at at what happened the night
before and nobody not like us asas the group, but like this the
city in itself that came into riot.

(02:42:03):
Like nobody wanted to stand and and try to to work it all out.
They just wanted destruction andthey just wanted to see the city
fall. So she's pissed.
Yeah, Torque kind of moves from Narloween to you.
And he says you're not wrong. This, you know, I'm not happy to
say that this isn't the first time a city has rioted like

(02:42:25):
this. And my Kitsune friend, you can't
blame yourself too much. If anyone deserves blame, it is
US who were here at court over ayear with Devon among us, you
and your friends. And he motions to everyone.
You were here for maybe four days while everything happened,

(02:42:49):
and in the following months you've all tried to do your best
to help. Thea has like angry tears kind
of starting to come out of her eyes.
And for her, it's more it's it's, it's more than just what's
happened. It's you can just kind of tell
that it I would assume everybodyin the room can just tell that

(02:43:09):
it's more than just what happened and brag when brag
would understand why I'm more like pissed off than I should
be. Let's go to Brag next.
Brag what? What is Braggrenier doing or
saying? Braggrenier.
Internally is pissed at himself. He knows he's not the best

(02:43:32):
fighter, but he also knows he should have, he should have been
able to dodge a hook. And he he's, he's mad that he
was unable to, he wasn't powerful enough to help.
But vocally, I think theater's outburst kind of gets him going

(02:43:53):
a little. And he, you know, they just,
they don't appreciate the thingsthat we do.
We we came here and we help to fight against the God that
destroyed the world once before and they are blind to it.

(02:44:17):
They would rather believe it's our fault and push that blame on
us. I I I wanted to help them, but
now I'm not sure that they're deserving of our help.
Parsival waves a wineskin at youand he says hell yeah, brother.

(02:44:39):
Can I say Pebble? Pebble responding to brag a bit.
They blame us because we're the ones they see.
They can't see the chaos underneath it like we can.
You know, they, they haven't faced the chaos God.
So that might be our cross to bear, that wherever we go, chaos

(02:45:06):
will follow, or we will chase chaos.
They, they can see it if they'd open their eyes.
There have been many people thatyou and I have talked to about
this that have listened to us. It's the people that don't
listen. Maybe, maybe not everyone is

(02:45:26):
worthy of rebirth. I will ponders on this as deep
for her. She's conflicted.
Nokomis any any thoughts or discussion or feelings or
anything that Nakomis is weighing in with?
Nakomis just thinks this was alla waste of life, you know, and

(02:45:50):
just mindless killing. Useless, not productive.
She's extremely annoyed and right now as she had to be
defensive during this encounter, but she is now attempting to
heal any survivors. With that, Rena walks into the

(02:46:11):
council chamber. All of you are gathered around
the table and sitting in chairs and the fireplace is crackling
loudly. And she walks up and she kind of
takes a long moment as she approaches the head of the table
and she looks at each of you andshe says, First things first,

(02:46:32):
this is my fault. I am to blame for this.
It's my actions that set all of this in motion.
With that in mind, I don't believe forgiveness need be
asked of anyone or given to anyone.
I need my council members, I need Tork, and I need Bertram.

(02:46:56):
They have to stay here. Tork needs to help me manage the
castle. Bertram, I need to help manage
quelling the unrest in the city. And she moves around the table
and she walks up to you, Narlaween And she kind of like

(02:47:16):
grabs you, grips you by the shoulders, and she looks you up
and down. And she says, I know that I'm
clinical. I know that I'm somewhat
emotionless sometimes. But Narlaween, I am truly proud
of the man you've become, and I might not always be great at

(02:47:37):
showing it when I'm not under the thrall of an emotional chaos
ring spell, but I want you to know how happy I've been,
despite everything, to have you here these last months.
I'll keep trying to make you proud, but I I appreciate you

(02:47:57):
saying that and I hope that we helped somehow.
She takes a deep breath and she says, I think you and your
friends have done the best you can, but now I think the best
thing for the city is for the five of you to leave.
Yeah, yeah, no. That that's fair.

(02:48:19):
That's fair. And that is where we will end
the final aftermath of the Silver Moon saga.
Does Pebble ask if we're still going to maybe get a shrine for
a bark question mark? Well, there already is a shrine
for bark, sort of as a Grove. That was a whole fight with the
lumberjacks because they were pissed that they couldn't cut

(02:48:42):
down those trees. Grow the trees.
They were. They were growers, the trees.
Weren't growing. Down for them to plant new ones
to rapidly grow. But yes, doggy guys.
Yeah. Those were some dog water rolls.
Yeah, none of us thought that wecould boost our own.

(02:49:03):
It's it's hilarious. The roles were good at the
beginning. It's hilarious because
Braggrenier often rolls like 20 sevens with Persuasion.
Yeah, yeah. Should have passed out Bardix
like they were candy and flashes.
I only had one action, yeah. And, and I did that to try to

(02:49:26):
get them to, to, to hear me. Yeah.
Yeah, I will say, and we all didstuff to make it so they heard
us, but that didn't actually have any impact on anything,
right? Yeah, we all know it.
I will tell you. I'll be honest with you and I'm
going to give a peek behind the curtain to our non Patreon
subscribers. Before bulls and bears and all

(02:49:47):
of that, the DC was set to 100. With the speeches that you made
and the choices that you made totry and make yourselves be
heard. I did slightly reduce the DCA
couple times for each of you based on what you were trying to

(02:50:08):
do. The DC went from 100 to 80.
How about Flash of Genius being a + 10?
Flash of Genius is a + 3 buddy. You guys were at?
6 genius is a + 3. And I even considered turning
Braggrenier's one into a 10, which would have brought you to

(02:50:28):
77. But it just all everything was
coming short. Yeah, with that, I ain't going
to lie. But that was a rough episode,
that was. I I I will say after that,
Braggrenier's Guild is no longernonviolent.

(02:50:50):
It's. Only those that they deem just
are they non violent towards. Well, we can talk more about
that in things like the bulls and the bears and in our next
episode, guys, what a couple of aftermaths.
I hope this was fun. This was a very different
approach. This was a very different way of

(02:51:11):
tackling. Oh yeah.
And. I enjoyed it, yeah.
From the very beginning, everything was boiling up to
this the the final like to the city being in a place of rioting
and all. All through the 1st aftermath,
you guys had something like 7 good ticks and like only four
bad and I was like wow, they're really like tipping the odds

(02:51:33):
more in their favor here but. Then you took a joke and turned
it into like, Yep, this is happening.
Which joke was that? Casting Thunder Wave.
Was it a joke? You can't, no.
I wasn't a joke you. Planned to cast it.
Yeah, I I didn't let him take itback.

(02:51:56):
That's different. To be fair, that only counted
AS2. Bad jokes.
Guys, crazy. Crazy.
Yeah, I know. That's that's the weight of 14
human lives. Two bad ticks on my notepad.
Amazing aftermath. I think this really sets a tone

(02:52:17):
as well as brings what is happening here at Silver Moon to
a conclusion of sorts. We are going to pick up with a
new episode the next time we play and we are going to be out
of the Silver Moon Saga. And we are going to be going
into a little bit more of some adventures of the five of you.

(02:52:38):
You'll you'll have some time to kind of think about like where
do the five of you go next? And we'll discuss that at the
start of our next session. And we're going to just get into
some more fun Dungeons and Dragons adventures, some
slightly more classical things that will take place that will
have some exploring, some riddles, some puzzles, some
looting, monsters that are very clearly defined as bad guys that

(02:53:02):
you don't have to feel bad aboutslang.
And all of it will lead up to the next story arc, which I have
much of it prepared and ready togo with that.

(02:54:06):
Pebble playing with the monkeys.Hey, you know what that's what
it is. Your guys have to be stuff, be

like a beach day. Just go go to the.
Beach a swims thing? Was it the last time we were on
a? Beach, I don't know some crab
monsters. Yeah.
Yeah, there there were some crabpeople and a corrupted version

(02:54:30):
of bark. Yeah.

Destroyed the walls. Rain making epitaph when?
Silver. Moon falls.

(02:56:21):
The Chained 1 laughs. Tear it down.

(02:56:48):
Tear it down to the ground. Tear it ground.
Tear it down the chain. Destroy the walls.
On the epitaph, when silver loomfalls the chain one laughs.

(02:57:15):
He laughs. Tear it down.
