Listen in as the Gang takes on a new job!

A mysterious building has appeared overnight in the middle of a city in the Empire of Valystrad,  it has the architecture of a library building. No one noticed the library before, city officials can't find records of it, no blue prints, and certainly no taxes paid! The local Empire Magistrate has declared the building a spawn of chaos, for lack of any better explanation of what has grown in the middle of their down town area. Smelling gold, the Gang answered the call to go in and investigate the building, find out what is inside, and put an end to the Chaos.

(00:03):
You look like you've been on theroad a long time, friend.
Dust on your boots, questions inyour eyes.
Let me slip you a little secret. No extra charge.
There's a place not marked on any map.
They call it K9. No kings, no Guild taxes, just a

(00:26):
fellowship of clever folk building something new, a magic
made of numbers and trust. They've even got this.
Watcher goes by the name Agent 9.
He knows the answers before you even ask him.
It's creepy, but helpful. And the best part?

(00:48):
You don't need to know a damn thing to get started.
You just head to Canine Finance dot com and keep your voice low,
though some of the old powers don't like the kind of freedom
they're cooking up over there. Now drink your Mead and act
normal. And remember, you didn't hear

(01:08):
this from me. Hello everybody and welcome to
another exciting adventure here at DND 721.
My name is Mudd, I am the Dungeon Master and I am joined
today by 4 veterans here at DND 721.

(01:32):
Some some of our core players who have come together again for
this, our one shot called the Dewey decimated system.
My 4 wonderful core returning players.
Why don't we say hi to all the listeners and we're going to
start with Mr. Waldo. What's up, What's up?

(01:57):
Waldo McCoy here coming back at you with Kilmore Prococtus.
He is a level 5 Dragonborn Paladin and I think me and Couch
are kind of like on an on an even playing field now.
So I'm ready to go out there andsee what the Daddy Master has in
store for us tonight. Only my wife calls me that.

(02:20):
Also with us tonight, we have the crypto therapist.
Hey everybody, coming at you again.
This time I'll be playing a character named Neo.
He's a fifth level Tiefling Warlock.
He's got a few shenanigans up his sleeve, and we're hoping we
don't run into any rocks. Sold.
With gold tonight. Yes, shout out to the Bloodbath

(02:43):
Arena match. No rocks with gold promise.
Also with us tonight is Barkoshi.
Hello everyone, Park Oshi here playing Tasselhoff Berfurt
tonight. He's a half laying rogue that
has a childlike sense of adventure.

(03:03):
Fantastic. And last but certainly not
least, we have Mr. Couch Adventure.
Hello everyone, couch adventuresplaying the same character.
Name a Level 3 human barbarian. I am ready to rage, ready to
kill, ready to win. Kill, rage, wind.
That's the the barbarian motto. And you know, I would be remiss

(03:23):
if I did not also say we have Yamas in the audience.
He is one of our wonderful staffmembers here at DND 721.
He's listening in and he does all of the professional editing
to make all of us sound amazing by the time it reaches our
listeners. So Yamas, thank you for being
here as well. Yeah, man.

(03:45):
So we have for ourselves tonightA1 Shot Adventure.
It has been named the Dewey Decimated System.
You and your companions have spent a delightful week in a
larger city, a more established town.
It's has a castle and walls and a very bustling downtown.

(04:11):
The Taverns are cheap. The company throughout the town
has been delightful. The people are in good moods, it
is in the heart of the empire, and the food has ranged from
full hog succulent pulled pork to sweet Mallorca pastries full
of honey and berries. It's just been everything you

(04:33):
could ever want to spend your adventuring gold on.
But things took a turn after a week or so of being in this town
where some of those happy and delightful commoners of the city
began to grumble and feel a little uneasy.
And folks are starting to complain that the downtown area

(04:55):
just wasn't feeling very good. It wasn't feeling very safe,
that there was just feelings of malaise and apathy and just that
it was kind of driving people away from the entire downtown
area and down there. The guards of the city began to
investigate and they found that there was a new building that no

(05:20):
one recognized from before. It was a two-story tall library
building, judging by the architecture on the outside, and
nobody could explain where the library came from.
Nobody remembered it being there.
No one can remember what was there before, and the city
officials can't find any recordsof it, no blueprints, and

(05:43):
certainly the property has not paid any taxes to the Empire.
So the local magistrate did declare that the building was a
spawn of chaos for lack of any other better explanation of what
could have just popped up in themiddle of their downtown area,
and as such it needed to be handled.
The entire city block has been cordoned off and no one has been

(06:06):
allowed to approach, enter, or leave that area until the
magistrate could determine what to do.
And the four of you, being the bold adventurers that you are,
smelled an opportunity to make more gold.
And you and your crew answered the call to go in and
investigate the two-story library architecture and find

(06:30):
out what was inside and try to put an end to the chaos.
And that's where we find ourselves.
You are on all four of you, the abandoned St. in the downtown
area, on either sides of the street, at the intersections on
the far ends, to the left and the right, there are rows of
guards standing shoulder to shoulder.

(06:52):
They have Shields up, halberds. They're blocking off all the
onlookers of the city who watched the four of you walk
through the crowd, past the guards.
You were waved in by the Sergeant and all four of you are
now approaching the otherwise kind of unassuming building, and
another magistrate official is standing outside the building

(07:15):
waiting for the four of you as you approach.
We're going to we're going to kick this off with a roll.
Could everybody please give me an Arcana check?
Now Trolls at 11 -, 110. That's a half rolls of 14 + 3
for 17. Kilbor kicks it off with a with

(07:36):
a typical 6. And Neo got a 16.
All righty, so Tesselhoff and Neo, the the two of you
Tesselhoff remind me, are you are you a arcane trickster
rogue? Is that did I look to see that
correctly? You did OK, so both of you for
slightly different reasons, you are picking up on an energy

(07:57):
coming out of the building that the magistrate official is
standing in front of and it is putting off the tall tale
feeling and energy of chaos. Now, chaos magic is something
that has been on the rise in thepast couple of years.

(08:20):
It's pretty far and few between. But Tasselhoff and Neo, you both
are clearly detecting that what this building is, is.
It's not your typic. It's not like a wizard up to
some shenanigans or something like that or something else
that, you know, like maybe this building has always been here,

(08:41):
but there was a, you know, like a shrouding spell around it or
something to obscure it from thepublic view that suddenly went
away. It is giving off definitive
chaos energy, which almost primarily comes from the
Crippled God or any of his generals or minions.

(09:03):
Oh, this films has been here fora while guys, and it's it's kind
of intriguing. We really need to go inside
guys. Couch those reading.
As the foreview approach the magistrate, he kind of like tips

(09:24):
the the brim of his helmet to the foreview and he goes right
well, as we agreed before, we'renot paying the four of you until
you have resolved whatever happens inside because we don't
want to just give you gold. Have you go inside and die and
then have us not able to go in and retrieve it.
So as agreed, payment will be provided on completion of the

(09:47):
task. Go inside and end whatever is
causing this mess in the city, and on top of getting paid the
gold that you were all promised, you also most certainly have the
Emperor's gratitude. Was most kills get a bonus.

(10:09):
He he, he like stutters, looks around, he goes.
I would say that the four of youcould determine that yourselves.
You get to split up the gold however you would like.
You're you're being paid as a party, not individually.
Game on guys. Is he wearing anything shiny?
Yeah, definitely. Go ahead.

(10:30):
Give me an investigation check. It's bad thing to investigate.
Yeah, 12 + 3 four 15. Yeah, he is wearing kind of the
ceremonial armor. You can tell that like his
helmet and like the ornate breastplate that he's wearing
aren't really like made for battle.

(10:53):
They're more ceremonial. They're more for show.
He is more of a bureaucrat than a soldier, definitely.
And with that investigation, when you, as you're looking at
him, you can see he does have a number of little medals that are
on his shoulder. He does have a very, you know,
fancy tunic, fancy belt. And there, you know, would be

(11:15):
something like a coin purse on his belt as well.
And so I am small, I'm like 3 feet tall and anything bigger
than me I can like walk through the same space.
Is he bigger than? Is he bigger than me?
Yeah, he's bigger than you. He's he's like regular medium

(11:36):
sized. So as we go in, we have to pass
him right? If you're wanting to try to pick
his pocket, you can definitely do a sleight of hand check.
Yes, I want to just try to take one of the shiny metals without
him noticing. OK, yeah, go ahead, make a make

(11:58):
a sleight of hand check does. There's an 18 pass.
Yeah, it does. OK.
You're able to like, snag one ofhis many little, little, little,
like, ceremonial medals off of his sleeve.
And. Then I just kind of put it in my
pouch and continue on all. Right.

(12:20):
I'm really glad you didn't fail that because I am not sure how I
would have dealt with that. OK.
Kilbor. Kilbor wants to do something.
OK, go ahead, Kilbor. He'd like to summon his
celestial direwolf if if that's applicable.

(12:42):
I mean you can summon your steed, yes?
OK I would like to do that. So basically Kell board does a
little whistle and this big celestial direwolf comes up and
is at his side following him in.OK.
Is anybody else doing anything to prepare as the magistrate

(13:07):
official? He is walking up to the large
double front doors, grabs the handle and he kind of struggles
with it for a moment, like the door resists against him, but he
finally pulls it open and the dark interior of the library can
be seen ahead. Yeah, while all this is going
on, Neo like to cast I'm familiar as a ritual.

(13:30):
OK. And go ahead and let everyone
know what is your familiar. All right, because I have packed
the chain gives me additional options as far as summoning it
familiar, I will summon an imp and the amp has a polymorph and

(13:50):
it can shape shift. I guess it's technically shape
shift and shape shift into a handful of small creatures.
So he will go ahead and shape shift into a Raven that will
just basically perch on my shoulder.
And I mean, yeah, they'll just be sitting on my shoulder as we
walk in. All righty any anyone have

(14:13):
anything else? Good.
Then let's go ahead and launch that map for our listeners.
There is a map that is acting asa bit of a guide that just kind
of helps show them locations andlike the the walls and doors and
things. However, everything will

(14:35):
continue to be theater of the mind as we describe what is
happening as we play. But that map should now be open
for all of you to access. The smell of weather bound
books. I wonder if there's any good
stories or if they're all just born mage.
Books. As you all walk in, you do see

(14:59):
that there is a small, like kindof oddly asymmetrical shaped
rectangle of a room. There are several bookshelves
and they are covered in books and directly in front of you is
a pedestal and the pedestal has a soft amber glowing rune on the

(15:21):
top of it. I investigate the pedestal.
OK. Are are you wanting to interact
with it or just look at it? Just looking at it, try to see
if I like recognized rural and to kind of look and see exactly
what it is. Sure, give me an investigation
check. I rolled the investigation or

(15:45):
Arcana, your choice. I already did the investigation.
We'll go with it. I rolled a 14 + 3 for 17.
Awesome. You're not getting anything but
leveling off the pedestal. It it looks almost like it's a
the rune on top is almost like ascrying rune somehow.
Like mixed with a messenger runemixed with something else that

(16:09):
you can't quite identify, but you do know from your
investigation that it is something that can be interacted
with. I poke it.
As you poke it, the pulsing amber turns from amber to this
light tealish blue color. And up out of the pedestal, this

(16:34):
kind of spectral ghost of a small wizard woman appears,
tall, pointy hat, wearing the look, you know, oversized robes.
And she has a staff that's in one hand that she kind of
casually leans against. And she looks up and says, oops,

(16:58):
sorry, I put my thing somewhere else.
There we go. She looks and she says, ah yes.
Welcome to the Wizarding Archiveof Knowledge, our better known
as the Wizarding Archive of Chaos Knowledge, also known as
WACK. Please place your hand on the
pedestal. State your name and profession.
I turn around and look at the group and go.

(17:20):
Guys, it's all boring books. No good adventure books here.
Never mind, we should go. This sounds wack, Kilbor.
I volunteer you to be the first to place your hand upon the
pedestal. I am ready.
Let's do it. Kilbor walks up and puts his
hand on the pedestal. The little wizard woman again

(17:42):
says thank you. Again, please state your name
and profession. Kilbor Precatus.
I am a paladin and I like. To explore.
And fight stuff. Thank you.
Next please. That's what's up, places his
hand. A adventurer.

(18:04):
Freelance adventurer always looking for fun.
And your profession, please. Freelance adventurer.
Kilbor punches him in the arm. Sorry, Barbarian.
Thank you. Next please.
I guess we'll stay. I put my hand on the pistol, say

(18:26):
I am a Finder of items. Tesselhoff Barefoot.
Finder of items not recognized. Please state your profession.
I guess some would call it a rogue.
Answer accepted. Next please.
Whatever. Already I will approach and say

(18:49):
I am a warlock and a simple merchant.
Name please? Neo.
Simply Neo. Entry accepted.
Searching archive and the figuredisappears for a moment and then
it reappears except this time itis the same wizard woman but she

(19:10):
is now in red and now is standing in a more aggressive
posture and the little wizardingA wisp says non wizard intruders
detected initiating security protocol.
WAC is now in lockdown and all intruders will be expunged and

(19:32):
she disappears. Hello.
Everybody. Please roll initiative.
I'm feeling we're not going to be reading much in here.
Neil got a 10. Ouch.
Rolls up two. That's a battle off A9.
Oh my cowboy rolls A10 as well. Now if anyone wants to trade

(19:57):
their initiative with me, we cando that if you want.
That's interesting. I'm sorry, Neo.
What? What did you say yours was?
Neo got 10/10. OK, Do you want to trade him
Neo? What does he need?
Wait, what did you get? I I got a nine, so you would go

(20:19):
later. If you want to go first, keep
what you got. If you want to go yeah, or a
couch if you want to jump up in line or if you want to lying
back. Couch likes to clean up
everybody else's mess, so I'll go Lens.
OK, OK, fair. The little wisp of a woman I'm

(20:40):
actually putting. I had a picture of her I'm
dropping in the main chat for everybody now as it has
disappeared on one of the bookshelves off to the side.
One of the books falls off the top of the shelf and lands with
a heavy thump on the floor. Oh, can Couch read it?

(21:01):
If if we're going and can't couch read, you tell me you
can't couch read. That's.
The joke couch you can't read. Let me see here.
So Neo, you've got a 2IN Dexterity.
But if it has pictures. OK, a Neo, you tell me.
First turn order. Neo's first.
Yep. Oh my goodness, where is this

(21:25):
creature? It is.
Well, it's a book that slid off of a shelf and it's just off to
the left of you, just a a littleoff to the side of the entrance
near 1 of the bookshelves towards the center of the room.
I think somebody wants you to. Read it now.
Yeah, probably. OK, I guess I can be brave and

(21:50):
try to read it. Is this roughly where it is?
Yeah, right about there, kind of.
In the north center of the room, you and your Raven walk over,
and as you approach at your feet, the book flips open and
several of the pages begin shuffling at a rapid speed.
And then as it's laying on the ground and you're looking down,

(22:11):
you can see the words begin to melt and meld and slide around
on the page. And directly in front of you, a
ink goblin rises up out of the book.
And believe it or not, it rolleda higher initiative than
everyone else. And the Inkling is going to make

(22:34):
an attack at Neo. Lovely.
Here we go, rolling the dice formy little homebrewed creature.
Neo does an 18 hit. Oh yeah.
Please roll me AD 100. Oh, out of the gates.
Let's see. 71. All right, 71 is the cantrip

(23:00):
Thunder Clap, a thunderous soundthat could be heard up to 100
feet away. Each creature within range must
succeed on a Constitution savingthrow or take 1D6 Thunder
damage. This is going to be everybody.
Couch has a ring of Thunder resistance.
Perfect, so you will take half damage even if you fail.

(23:23):
What was the role? It is a Constitution saving
throw. What's the DC?
DC-14 half off failed. Outro's a 20. 14.
With lightning. Resistance.
It is Thunder, not lightning. OK, so Kilbor and Couch you both

(23:46):
pass. You're able to like, pull your
hands up to your ears, block outthe thundering.
Boom. Tasselhoff and Neo you both take
oh rolled up 6 on the D6. You take 6 points of Thunder
damage as the inkling slaps at Neo and casts that thunderclap
spell. That is the end of the inklings

(24:08):
turn and it is now. That was its surprise round that
it got therapist. It is now your turn proper.
Yeah, I have uncanny dodge. All it says is when an attacker
you can see hits you with an attack, you can take a reaction
to have the attacks damage against you.
I I mean I see him but it's a sound attack so I don't know if

(24:32):
I can use it or not. Yes, Uncanny dodge works on any
attack even though you were not the target of it.
You can use your reaction for uncanny.
Dodge. OK, I'll do that to take three
damage One. To our.
Companions take damage from thatas well.
Your companions need to do theirown saves.

(24:53):
They should have their own stat blocks for their ability to try
and save against that. It was Constitution DC-14.
OK, so I rolled A10. OK.
So it also takes that six pointsof damage.
Therapist, I think that your IMPalso needed to do the CON save,
is that correct? It rolled a 12 OK.

(25:15):
So then it would also take that six points of damage and it is
Neo's turn. Yeah, I'm gonna do shocking
grasp on this feature. All righty, go ahead and give
your roll. All right, 13. 13 is a hit.
Sweet. All right, don't 12 points of

(25:39):
lightning damage. You describe to us how how do
you grab and shock the little ink creature that has popped up
out of the book? Yeah, so he pops up and
surprises me and does his littlemove and of course I'm surprised
and incredibly annoyed, so I'd have been stinked.

(26:02):
I just grabbed him by the scruffof his of his fur and just DAP
the crap out of him with my hands.
He explodes, splattering ink in every direction.
Remind me not to give you a hot sauce.
You're. Like you little bastard.
As that happens the pedestal with the red wizardly lady

(26:28):
reappears and the little wispy blue kind of ghost of a wizard
woman looks around and says initial WAC security protocol is
non responsive, initiating archive wide retaliation force
to eliminate all intruders and she disappears again.

(26:49):
In this moment the doors that were behind you, you hear the
heavy thumping of deadbolts sliding through.
There were a couple of windows that were along the wall that
you had come in from and large steel shutters slam shut over
the windows and you all see as more and more books fall off of

(27:11):
the shelves and more of these ink creatures up here as well as
some other additional creatures. As books begin to BLOB and form
together, some of the books begin to actually turn into
almost dog like shaped things and several of them are piling

(27:34):
out of the bookshelves all around you.
Could somebody please give me a,let's call it a a wisdom check?
We don't want me doing that. Ouch.
Has a + 1. That was poor.

(27:55):
Disregard my attempt. He rolled it.
Use it. Yeah, Neo, that inkling was sure
easy to beat. Yeah, I I assume at this point
everything will be. That that would be a assumption
that you're making with A5. If anybody else would like to do

(28:16):
some Wisdom checks, I'll I'll allow the rest of the group to
give it a try. Yeah, Couch also rolled A4 plus
one for A5. Yeah, couch.
I mean like creatures are are designed to be smashed.
That's just another day at the library. 7 - 2 for five.

(28:37):
Tasselhoff, you love a good tumble, You like a good fight?
Yeah, absolutely. Same.
Same conclusion. Kilbore got a 17 kilbore.
You're looking around and you saw that little ink creature do
that booming blast that came outand hit everybody.

(28:58):
And now more of these creatures are forming out of the books,
dropping off of the shelves, andbooks are beginning to fuse and
form together. And more of those ink creatures
are also starting to pop out of books on the shelves.
You get the sense that you you have to fight.

(29:18):
But there are a lot more books than there are the four of you
who's. Got a match?
Either keep them. We probably need to keep these
books on the shelves, so maybe we shouldn't knock any of these
things off. I'm getting this weird feeling.
Yeah. Maybe, yeah.
With that, with that same 17, you take a look at the shelves

(29:41):
and you see it's stock full of scrolls.
I I really want to grab some scrolls.
You certainly can on your turn, which actually it is Kilborn, it
is your turn proper. OK, yeah, where are these
scrolls at? Any one of the bookshelves

(30:03):
pretty like the The whole room is just chock full of
bookshelves along the walls, shelves that are running down
the center of the room where more of these creatures are
piling off the shelves and turning into these animated
spellbooks and the ink creaturespopping up out of books.
And then the book slides and melds with another book turning
into another one of these creatures.

(30:25):
So you, I mean you, you can turnand you can grab a scroll from
basically anywhere at any time. All right, so basically I, I
holler over at Neil and I, I tell him to look at these
scrolls and see if there's anything you know, unique about
them, you know, done check them out.

(30:46):
But I really kind of want to runup and grab one of them scrolls,
put it in my bag of holding and then I am going to channel
divinity. Yep, that's what it was sacred
weapon for 10 minutes. We're going to tell this feature
again. You add 1 + 1 to attack rolls
made with that weapon, and each time you can cause it to deal

(31:09):
its normal damage type or radiant damage.
The weapon also emits a bright light a 20 foot radius and a dim
light 20 foot beyond that. OK.
The room lights up as your channel divinity takes effect
and you have that bonus, which Ibelieve was a bonus action
unless I was looking at that route.
It's when you take the attack action you can expend one use of

(31:32):
your channel divinity. So yeah, go ahead and make your,
make your attack if and you can then add that to what you're
doing. OK, yeah, I'm going to run up
and attack this inkling right here in front of me.
OK, yeah, so you are you. You run through, you squeeze
between some of the shelves as books are falling off that you
run up on that inkling that's inthe southwest corner of the

(31:53):
room. Go ahead and make your attack
roll. OK, how about a 26?
Definitely hits. All right, 6 damage.
Yeah, you cut a big chunk of inkoff of its shoulder, but it is
still standing. So my oh, I get another swing at

(32:16):
it too, don't I? At your level, yes. 17 does a 17
unit. Yes it does.
Going right. And how about a 14 damage?
You swing your sword through it again and it splatters and
disappears across just ink sprays across the room and it is

(32:39):
dead, dead, dead. You did notice as you were
pushing between the bookshelves and making your way up to that
inkling on the West End of the room here there is a large
double sided door. Very good.
So he's going to yell at his puppy dog.
We're going to name him Fred. I'm going to whistle at him with

(33:01):
my my snake snake tongue, you know, without having to put my
fingers up to my mouth. I'm going to whistle at him on
and he's going to run around this corner and he's going to
hit this. Oh, that's a spellbook.
That's. One of the animated spellbooks
that there's several of them have fallen off of the shelf.

(33:22):
There are four of them across the room now, three on the far
end and 1 towards the east. Are they open on the ground?
They are fusing into a almost creature like shape and walking
on 4 legs. I'm wondering if I should tell
tell Fred to attack it. That is entirely up to you.

(33:44):
Oh. My.
They don't look friendly I. Was going to say I was planning
to attack 1. Yes.
We want Fred to attack. OK.
Attacking the one that's in likethe northeast corner of the
room. The one that's closest to me
here. Oh.
OK, southwest corner of the room.
It darts between the bookshelvesand turns the corner.

(34:05):
Go ahead and make that attack roll on that.
OK, how about a 13? 13 is a miss.
OK. Longer than the equally.
All right. I think that does it for me.
OK, Kilbar, as you're watching your Spectra wolf attack at this
book, go ahead and give me a. Perception check?

(34:30):
How about a 14? Yeah, with a 14.
You also notice another large double door that's on the Far
East end of the room. OK, so I yell at the group and I
say, you know, we better be ready to get this from both
sides. All right.
Tasselhoff, that's going to be you next.

(34:51):
OK, OK. If I do our.
Arcana check? Is that an action or bonus
action or is that just a freebiekind?
Of depends on what you want to do.
I just want to, I would want to try to see if I could see what
is, you know, powering the spellbooks, like what's bringing
it to life. Yeah, go, go ahead.

(35:13):
I'll give you a free Arcana check.
OK, a 4 + 3 first 7. You have no idea.
With A7 you're you're. Getting the sense that it's it
is powered by something, but youdon't know what.
And then what's that? Do I have sight of the animated
spellbook to the east? Yeah, you, you can see around

(35:36):
like the pedestal and between the bookshelves.
Well, it's jumping on 4 legs. I would want shoot it with my
bow, OK? You can definitely do that.
You do have NEO between you and it so I will just warn if you
miss there is a chance you couldhit NEO.
Confident in my abilities. All right, go ahead.

(36:02):
OK. Neo, for the corner of your eye
you see Tasselhoff aiming right at you.
Well, not yet, not yet. Bird.
I'm going to do my bonus action.Of.
Steady. So now you see.
Neo You see Tosserhoff with a very steady hand, aiming his
crossbow right at you. And the man gives me advantage,

(36:28):
does a 25 hit. 25 is absolutely a hit.
All right, nice. Shot.
Thank you. Thank you for 11 damage.
Definitely hurts still on all four of its legs.
That arrow shoots straight through it, tatters of paper

(36:49):
flying in all directions, and itkind of shakes like a dog once
and it gives this gurgling, wispy, howling sound.
Well with that with me have an advantage I am going to do my
use my sink attack damage for this round.
OK. Yeah, and it takes another 12
damage. OK, that animated book off to on

(37:15):
that E Neo from your perspectiveto is it?
Are you shooting a crossbow? No, it's a short, short bow.
Short bow. OK, yeah, Neo, you're seeing as
Fitbit 2 arrows shoot past you on either side, both of them
sunken into that animated spell book to to the right of you and
the books break apart and the the creature falls to the

(37:39):
ground. Go.
Ahead and give. Me a perception check as well.
Of 15 -, 2 for 13. 13 with a 13,you can see that as all of these
books are falling off the shelves and turning into these
creatures, more of them are beginning to fall off the

(38:03):
shelves. But you're also seeing on all of
these shelves rows and rows and rows of scrolls.
Well, I don't have any movement or actions left, so that is the
end of my turn. There is a bookshelf that is in
reach of you. Oh OK, then I grab a scroll.

(38:24):
Do you pocket it or do you open it up?
Please read it. Well, I will open it and see if
I can read it. Yeah, please roll me AD 100.
E1 and. This is a case where you guys
want to roll high. Oh, Oh yeah, no, that was right,

(38:47):
78. 78 the scroll. As you open it, you cannot read
what's on the scroll, but as youopen it up, the runes and words
on it begin to twist and spin, and the scroll burst into flame
in your hands as it burns out its magic and power.

(39:09):
And you, Tesselhoff, all of yourweapons deal extra 1D4 damage
for the next minute. Could you please roll me AD 6?
Or. All of your attacks now deal an
extra 1D4 acid damage. And how long is how many rounds

(39:29):
is a minute? Like 10 rounds.
OK. Oh, that's good.
And as this happens, Tasselhoff, you're looking around.
There are hundreds and hundreds of scrolls on all of these
bookshelves. I I just let out like the squeal

(39:50):
and my eyes get big. They oh, these aren't just born
wizard scrolls. These are fantastic scrolls.
All right, that is gonna bring us to Couch.
Couch the barbarian. What you up to?
I am definitely grabbing a stroll and hoping I rolls high.

(40:10):
OK, go ahead, roll me that D100.I did not couch rolls a 34. 34
Kilborn laughs. Couch please.
Roll me a Roll me AD 6 please. I told you I couldn't read A1.

(40:35):
OK, as the scroll evaporates in your hands and you're looking at
your hands that we're just holding a scroll.
And I mean, like, this is a weird thing for a piece of paper
to do, right? It just dissolves in your hands
as you're looking at your now empty hands.
You look and realize you now have six extra fingers on both

(40:56):
hands. Both of your hands now have 11
fingers. This effect is in place for one
hour and you now have a -1 to Charisma checks.
Oh boy, can I hold additional items with the extra fingers?
No you cannot. My name is Tony Montonio.

(41:19):
I am looking for the six finger.22 fingers.
Gilbert's. Gilbert's over there with his
thumbs up in the air. Couch said.
You. Look good.
You look better. I put my three extra middle
fingers up for you. You still.
Have. You still have your action and

(41:41):
your movement. Yeah, let me run down to the
southwest Wolf there and hold Colborough out.
Alrighty, you again squeeze kindof between the bookshelves and
you get down there next to his celestial wolf and there's one
of those spellbook creatures there.
All right, so my first question,I have a long sword plus one and

(42:02):
on the on the damaged side it has a one D 8 + 4 but it also
has a one D 10 + 4. Which one am I?
It depends if you're swinging itwith one hand or two hands.
I don't think you have. Two hands.
Yeah, you would be swinging it 2handed.
So that would be the one D10. If you hit yes.

(42:22):
All right, let me take that hit the C roll.
Swing at that book Dog 1616 is ahit.
Yes, I'm clicking that button a 10 + 414. 14 You cut pages off
of the animated spellbook dog there, but it is still standing.

(42:46):
My goodness. Oh, you know what I didn't do is
go into rage. Let's can we do that now?
So I I, I kind of fudged it a little bit.
Grabbing scrolls is a bonus action, but I did give it to
Tasselhoff for free. So I will give it to you for
free this time. I'm taking it.
All right, go ahead and rage I. Don't know, I haven't worked on

(43:07):
my rage roar yet guys. That's all right.
Well, Next up is the the animated books and Inkling.
There are still 3 animated booksall along the South wall that
have dropped down out of the shelves and one inkling over
near the east door. We're gonna start with the one

(43:28):
that's next to the wolf couch that you just took a cut out of.
It's gonna make a swing at you. Does a 16 hit.
Yes, Sir. OK, for the animated spell book
I need you to please roll AD 4. Roll A2.
OK, and now please roll me at D100.

(43:53):
Got trolls in 80? Three, The book dog casts at
second level. It takes a bite at you and out
of its mouth. This arcane power spews out of
its mouth and it casts Gust of wind.
A strong wind 60 feet long and 10 feet wide blasts you in a

(44:14):
direction. You need to make me a strength
saving throw please, or you are pushed 15 feet away in a
straight line. Ox rolls a 19 + 524.
All right, you hold your footingas this thing gusts winged at
you, but that gust of wind continues to emanate from its

(44:35):
mouth. So it is creating just this
flurry of pages blowing all across the room as this huge
gust of wind is billowing through this room.
All right, that is it for that Book Dog.
Next, Book Dog is gonna take itsturn and it's gonna dart between

(44:56):
some of the bookshelves and it'srunning straight at Neo and Neo.
It's gonna make a swing on you, Sir.
Neo does a 16 hit. Unfortunately, Yep.
I'm gonna also need you to roll me AD 4 please.
That would be a three. And please give me AD 100. 63.

(45:19):
Oh, you can't make this up that book, dog.
Just cast third level fireball. This is a 20 foot radius.
Let me pull out my little ruler. Here it is centered on you.
So that is going to hit Tasselhoff.

(45:41):
It's gonna hit your imp. That's also gonna hit.
It's gonna hit Couch as well. Are you kidding me?
Nope, you are within 20 feet of Neo the the Wolf and Kilbert.
You're like right on the edge. Kilbert.
Give me a luck check, D20. Oh my, that was.

(46:02):
Almost on that one but I got a 19.
OK, Kilbor, you are free from the blast.
The inkling on the Far East end of the room is also affected.
So everybody, please give me Dexterity saving throws.
What's the DC? It is DC-14.

(46:24):
Controls an 8. Stop, got an 18.
You've got 14. Meets it, beats it.
Kilbor rolled A10 if he needed to you.
Did you're rolling good tonight?Just outside of the blast
radius. OK, so that is going to be at
Federer level. 8D6 fire damage. Neo, as you see this dog

(46:48):
building up a fireball in its mouth, could you please give me
a wisdom check? That's so lame.
It's like hovering at the at a Nat 20 and it dumped over to
two. I got fogged.
Yeah, I mean, you guys were hired to kill everything.
You got to kill everything, right?

(47:09):
The fireball blast hits and it deals 23 points of damage.
That is 23 if you failed and that is cut in half to 12 if you
saved. And you get bug rage.
Your rage does not protect you against fire.
Oh, I can spill the deep. Neo, let me know you're imp

(47:34):
familiar. Are they resistant to fire or
immune to fire? Let's see, they have fire
immunity. That's right.
Yeah, your your Raven on your shoulder.
Just the flames just wash over it, leaving you burnt and
scalded. But your Raven just ruffles its
feathers once. Nothing.
No effect. Good to know he's safe.

(47:55):
That's all that matters. All right, the last animated
book that is still in the room. Here it goes.
It's gonna take a run here. Yeah.
The only person it can reach is couch.
So it's running for couch. It scrambles up on top of the
bookshelves, and it begins bounding from bookshelf to

(48:15):
bookshelf and launches itself atcouch.
It is going to make an attack roll man I, I am, I am rolling
good for once. Couch does a 17 hit.
Yeah. I need you to roll that D4
buddy. A1.
Hey, no. That's actually good for.
You that's. Is it good?

(48:36):
Yeah, in this case that is good.Roll me AD 100 please.
An 11. 11 all right. It casts chain lightning at
ninth level. This actually.
This might actually be good for you couch.
It hits you with a first level thunderous smite.

(48:59):
The strike rings with Thunder that is audible within 300 feet
and you take 2D6 Thunder damage, which I believe you are
resistant to. Yes.
I do need you to make a strengthsaving throw or you are pushed
10 feet away. A. 7 + 512. 12 is a fail so you
are thrown 10 feet back with a bookshelf directly behind you.

(49:24):
So you slam into the bookshelf kilbor.
You look to your left as a bookshelf with couch tangled up
in the book begins to tip over falling on you couch.
You are in the prone condition which means you are laying on
the ground and kilbor. You are also going to need to
make a strength saving throw as this bookshelf begins to fall on

(49:45):
you. Oh, how about an 8?
Kill. Party you.
Are. Pinned under couch and the
bookshelf that slammed down on top of you, books falling all
around you in a cacophony as that thunderous wave blasts out
and couch. You have the resistance, so you

(50:05):
take 5 damage which is cut in half to three.
Does rage do anything with that?Again, it is Thunder Rage only
works on slashing, bludgeoning and piercing I believe.
Ultimate Remover. Yep, couch.
As you're laying on your back, tangled up in the bookshelf,
this thing standing on the bookshelf across from you,

(50:27):
barking and howling, wisps of arcane energy curling off of its
fangs. Could you please give me a
wisdom roll? A2 plus one for a three.
Boy, guys, all right at the top of the turn order, more books
are falling off the shelves. Are you comfortable?

(50:48):
Kilborn with the fireball did that damage any of the shelves
and books, preventing them from That's a falling.
Great question. Roll me a perception check.
Oh no, 16 with a -, 2 or 14. Even with a 14, you notice that

(51:09):
fireball explodes off in all directions, right?
And a very destructive spell. And as you look around, you
notice all the shelves still full of books, still full of
scrolls. You see, as the flames stretch
across everything, the flames almost seem to dance along and
around all of the books and scrolls that are remaining on

(51:33):
the shelves. They seem to be protected in
some way with some kind of fire immunity.
Go ahead and for free. You can give me an Arcana check,
or you can give me a Wisdom check.
Your choice. A 7 + 3 for 10 on Arcana.
You know, there's some magic shit going on that that's it.

(51:55):
Yep, some magic shit guys. You guys are seeing here at the
top of the turn order, more and more books are falling off.
Some are popping open with inklings pouring out, some are
fusing together, and some of thebooks that you guys have slain
are also beginning to slide together again and reform into

(52:15):
animated spellbooks. Top of the turn order.
That's going to be Neo. What it What is Neo up to?
So this guy is right on me, right?
Yeah, that spell animated spell dog is the book dog all.
Right, well, I got to take care of him first, so I'll do
shocking grasp on him. OK, 22.

(52:38):
Absolutely hits. And that will be 15 damage team
lightning damage. Yeah, it it jerks and twitches
and shakes in place. It is still standing but
definitely been zapped. OK, I'm going to just.

(52:58):
Curl at the edges. OK, I'm going to run over here
and you said we can use a bonus action to check the scroll.
Absolutely. OK, I'm going to do that and
AE100. High rolls.

(53:18):
We want some high rolls. High rolls.
Let's go. Oh, how about 88?
That's pretty high. See, Neo, you're a tiefling,
right? You've you've got some demonic
ancestry to you. How's.
The little. How does Neo feel about

(53:39):
celestial beings? Well I am a celestial warlock,
so pretty good. OK.
With. That you grow radiant Angel
wings from your back for one minute and you now gain the
ability of flight and your flight speed is 60 feet and if

(54:01):
you would, if you fall for some reason you take no damage.
Nice, how tall is this room? We're going to call it, yeah,
about 20 feet tall. So definitely room that you can
fly above head. The bookshelves are about 10
feet tall. OK, I use the rest of my
movement to fly straight up. Yeah, all right.

(54:22):
I am now flying. That does last for one minute,
so I'm going to put you in blue just to indicate you are flying
above. Do you shout anything down to
your companions as you see a couch and kilbor tangled up in a
bookshelf, Tasselhoff behind you?
And from your vantage point, more and more books falling off
the shelves. Actually, yeah, go ahead, give

(54:42):
me wisdom. Check with advantage.
That's right, we got 15 and the 19.
There we go. You get the very strong sense
that the library's security protocol is not going to stop.

(55:07):
And there are even in just this room, thousands of books.
I'm going to meta game for you guys a little bit to help you
out here. The creatures are not going to
stop coming turn. To get out of the room.
With that 19. Bookshelf.
You can see that more and more of these creatures are starting
to appear. Like I said, there is a door to

(55:28):
the West, and there's a large aisle that runs down the center,
and there is a door to the east. And yes, now in this second
round of combat, there are some creatures between you and the
east door, but the West door is wide open.
OK, I'm going to yell out. We need to get out one of these
doors as quickly as possible. They're not going to stop

(55:49):
coming. What?
Was that say? Again.
Can my familiar do stuff or do Ihave to command him with like a
bonus act or something? It was.
Say on your familiar. Let me see, you've got your
telepathic connection. That one requires a bonus

(56:12):
option, but yeah, you're right. Trying to remember does he act
independently or with my command?
It has its own initiative that takes place exact directly after
yours, so it's the same as the wolf.
OK, so could I basically commandit to go open this door on the
on the West? Yeah, that is, I think,

(56:33):
something that an Imp familiar would be capable of doing.
He would have to transform back to.
Form. Back to.
Imp Yeah. Yeah, but he could do that
pretty much any laws, so I will give that.
All right. How many of them do it?
Yeah, he throws open those W doors and the the doors are also

(56:55):
very tall. They're like 15 feet tall.
They almost reach up to the ceiling and you can see into the
next room. More bookshelves, but a whole
nother room. OK, yeah, I'll just yell to
everybody to get through these these doors and my imp, if he

(57:15):
still has an action left, will go invisible.
Yeah, amp turns in like that's just a ability that you're
you're familiar has. Yeah, yeah, has an action you
can just cast an ability on himself all.
Right, your amp turns invisible.Kilbor, that brings us to you.

(57:39):
Oh, Couch boy. Well, you got me into.
Now let's see. That's still laughing at me.
How many of these scrolls can I grab at once?
Bonus action, So you can grab one with a bonus action, and you
could choose to use your action to grab another if you wanted.
I'm sure I'm probably covered inthem so.

(58:00):
Oh yeah, scrolls rolling across the floor all around you.
So, you know, since I'm a paladin, I'm, I'm going to say a
little prayer and I'm going to really look around at these
scrolls and see if I can find one that's got any symbols or
anything on it that I'm familiarwith and going to try to grab.

(58:24):
I'm I want to grab one that I might know.
Give me a arcana or history check, your choice.
Let's do a history about a 15. OK, with a 15, you do see that
all of the squirrels, you know, they are technically like
they're sealed. They have like a loose like

(58:45):
thread that's tied around them holding the squirrels shut.
And on the outside you grab one and you do see a root like a
symbol on it. And it is a symbol that you have
seen before belonging to a cult of chaos.
You grab another scroll and you look at it and it has a similar

(59:05):
but different symbol. And it is also a like different
cult of Chaos's sigil that is onthat scroll.
And you see a lot of them match,a lot of them are different.
But from all of them with a 15, all you are seeing is that these
are scrolls coming from cults. Gotcha.

(59:26):
OK, well, I'm going to grab. I'm going to grab that one.
I'm going to grab one of those. OK.
Are you opening it? I look over at couch and I'm
like what do you think? Should I open it or should I
save it? I mean we're both prone, I only
have 6 HP left so do what you can but.

(59:47):
OK, yeah, we're going to. We're going to stand up.
I am gonna need a strength checkfor you to push the bookshelf up
off of you. It is only ADC 10.
OK, I got a 12 it's. OK, you push the bookshelf up
and fortuitously couch as you are laying on that same

(01:00:12):
bookshelf as it is pushed up right, you are also pushed up
right and land on your feet backon the ground which between the
bookshelves kilbor you are standing.
What are you doing? How much movement do I have
left? Half your movement, so 15 feet.
OK, about 3 squares. OK, all right, let's.
I'm going to go ahead and get through the door and whistle at

(01:00:34):
Fred. OK, so you're calling Fred to
come to you? Yes.
OK, you still have your SO with your same bonus action of
grabbing the scroll on the same turn.
You can still use your bonus action to open it.
As you're looking around in thisroom, you are seeing, you know

(01:00:56):
what? No, you have to roll for this.
Give me a perception check. Yeah, perception coming your
way. I want a 7.
Boy, it looks like a library. Another library.
Looking down the main row that you're standing in, you're
seeing lots of bookshelves in all directions, and at the far

(01:01:22):
end of the room you do see a desk with a little podium on it.
Old desk with a podium. Well.
Yep, you are out of movement, but you do still have your bonus
action, and if you wanted to useyour action to dash, you could
move further to the West across this room.
OK I do OK so I use my bonus action in getting the scroll

(01:01:44):
scroll. So I will use my action for if I
can to jump or bash crush the ring OK.
So I was saying before, like you, you've used your bonus
action to grab a squirrel. You can still on your same turn
use your bonus action to open the squirrel if you would like.
I'm going to hold on to it, OK? It's a little bit of a homebrew

(01:02:04):
mechanic that I've created for this whole one shot, so I want
to make sure that it's clear what you guys can do.
So you run 30. Feet.
Oh, he's to. About 2/3 of the way across the
room and as you approach you do see that pedestal is similar to
the one by the entrance when youfirst walked in.
OK. I definitely want to whistle at

(01:02:25):
Fred and have him come the rest of the way, close and then
probably, I think with his movement he's got 60 feet.
Yeah, he'll probably get him. There he also gets right up next
to you. OK, I think I'm just going to
holler at everybody and tell himto get in here.
Yeah. OK, Tauslehoff, that brings us
to you. All right, well, first I'm going

(01:02:53):
to attack the animated spellbookthat's on the bookcase by couch.
Yeah, that one's standing on topof the shelf.
It's about 10 feet up in the air.
Yeah. So 10 feet, yeah.
Yeah, I can reach that. Does that be like 30 feet away?

(01:03:13):
Yeah, OK. I have said in previous games,
and I will say again in this one, I am not going to solve for
C and figure out the hypotenuse of a triangle for distance
across and distance up. I'm just not doing it.
So yes, it is in range. 17 is a hit.
OK and then I also forgot I do have the arrows plus one so

(01:03:35):
that's I mean I've hit both times so it hasn't mattered, but
I get a + 1 added on and then damage 8 plus the one for my
arrow plus one is 9 plus I also get 4.
What was that one? D4 Poison D. 4 acid damage Acid.

(01:03:59):
So that's four, and then he's also close.
He's also 5 feet within couch, so I'm going to do sneak attack
damage. So he took 12, eight, 929 points
of damage. Your arrow rips through the head
of that book dog and it makes a single Yip sound as the books

(01:04:24):
that make up its big toothy ma snap shut and it rolls off the
top of the shelf, dead on the ground.
All right, there you go, Couch snag and get away.
Hopefully. Thank you for that.
You still have your. Improvement and you have a bonus
action. So with that, I'm going to pick
up a scroll for my bonus action and then I'm going to go

(01:04:50):
stashing it or opening it, stashing it for now, and then
I'm going to run to there. OK, give me a perception, Jack.
Oh, so just for the audience, I ran through the east door
following Kilbor. That is the West door, but yeah.

(01:05:12):
Oh, W door, yes, sorry, Waldo did pass that to me earlier.
And then you want a perception. Yes, please.
How about a 13? 13 is good enough so you also
see the pedestal across the room.
On the far side, you do see a wheel of books like there's

(01:05:32):
there's the shelves all through the room, but there's also a
like rotating like wheel that has rows of books on it.
And with a 13, you do see that wheel is slowly spinning.
And more importantly, as you look around, you realize this

(01:05:53):
room does not have another door in it.
There is only one way in and oneway out.
No. OK, I'd like to do like a
arcana. Can I from this distance, can I
do like an arcana check on the wheel?
For your bonus action, yes. Oh well, in my bonus action I

(01:06:14):
picked up the scroll. Oh, that's right.
That's right. Yeah.
Screw it. Yeah, go ahead.
Roll roll Narcana. Oof.
Five 2 + 3. You know it's a magic library.
Sometimes shit just moves. Fair enough.
And that is past the Hoth's turn.
All right, that is going to bring us to Couch the barbarian

(01:06:37):
Couch. You have one animated spell dog
on the ground just to the southeast of you.
Two. More of them have fallen off the
shelf to the east and taking up the main aisle down the center.
There's an inkling to the Far East by the east doors, and
there's another inkling you can see skulking between the
bookshelves along the southern wall.

(01:06:59):
What is Couch doing? Couch is going to have to take a
drink of bullshit. Yeah, we're doing that with a
action or bonus action. But we're going to do that with
an action. All right, regular healing or
greater healing? I'm going to need that greater
healing. OK.
So you get the full benefit if you spend your full action on
that. Let's say 44 + 4.

(01:07:21):
That sounds right. Let's see here.
I rolled a 9 + 4 for 13. Oh, you, you get the I'm sorry,
you, you spent an action on this.
You get the full the full value. So 4D four, you get 16 + 4.
So you get 20 hit points for. Spending action, That's that's
what I thought. I'm sorry, I had I had hit the

(01:07:42):
the 20 hit points up. Yeah, so 20 hit points and then
you still have your movement anda bonus action.
All right, so here's the thing. We know that they keep spawning.
We know that at least two peopleknow there's no door in the
other room. So guys I don't know what to do
because I can run toward the enemies but I don't have an

(01:08:03):
attack this turn. Give me a, let's call it
perception. That is a 14 + 317.
Couch, you have noticed something that I don't know that
anyone else has quite noticed yet.
The animated spellbooks and the Inklings are not getting

(01:08:24):
opportunity attacks when people disengage and run away from
them. Neo ran away from an animated
spellbook and it did nothing, and also Kilbor's wolf ran away
from the animated spellbook directly in front of you and it
did nothing when it disengaged. That.
Was intentional. To metagame a little bit, you

(01:08:45):
are realizing these things are hitting hard and they're casting
all kinds of random chaos magic, but engaging, moving around them
and like getting past them like you're you're kind of able to
freely move around these things without them getting opportunity
attacks. OK.

(01:09:06):
Can I use my bonus action to grab a scroll?
Yeah. Are we stocking it or opening
it? Can I?
My roles have sucked tonight. I'm wondering if it makes sense
to run to the door to the West and then open the scroll, or if

(01:09:29):
I should just open it. Well, I guess I'd be too far
away from the farther enemies. There it is up to let's just
open it. OK, let's see how many more
fingers and toes I can get. Rolling AD 100.
I am going to let you guys know just for fun.
This is the kind of the fun element of this one shot is all
of these. Scrolls if I roll another bad

(01:09:51):
roll. I'm going to restart my computer
to get rid of this bad luck. What did you roll?
I rolled an 8. Oh no.
That. Was never good when the DM says
Oh no. In my last adventure, I turned
into a spirit. I forgot about that.

(01:10:12):
You did. Couch The scroll evaporates in
your hands and there's this radiant light that's still
shining like through from, you know, from a few different
sources, and you look as the scroll dissipates in your hands.
Could you please tell me something embarrassing about

(01:10:33):
Couch? That's a.
Good one. Well, I think I did at the start
of this adventure. Couch can't read.
You look like something is off, something just doesn't quite
feel right. You look back and you can see a
shadow on the ground of Neo flying above you, and as you
look around yourself you realizeyou don't have a shadow.

(01:10:54):
And then peeking around the bookshelf directly next to you
is a shadow of yourself standingupright, and your shadow shouts
at the top of its lungs. Couch can't read.
Couch is a great big idiot. Couch is a big illiterate dummy.
Couch can't read. Do you know how many times I've
seen Couch look at a book and try to read?

(01:11:15):
Couch can't read. Shit, he's a barbarian.
He doesn't even know the difference between numbers and
letters. That's that is true.
Don't take that from home, Couch, you're a good guy.
Thank you. I tried.
The shadow shouts. Oh yeah, good guy.
Good guy who loves swinging his swords at his friends.

(01:11:37):
Yeah. Couch, you still have your
movement. Mean I don't want to be far away
from my my companions here. So let's run through the door
and. The West door go toward.
Yeah, the West door there. OK.
And then I want to sneak down behind the door in case the
enemy's trying to run through. Yeah.

(01:11:59):
All right, Tasselhoff, do you, do you shout out that there it
doesn't look like there's an exit out of this room?
Yeah, I I do shout and let everyone else know.
OK, just so that it's common knowledge everyone can hear,
this room does not have an exit.OK, couch.
I believe that is everything foryour turn.

(01:12:20):
Yeah, sure. OK, that is gonna bring us to
the animated books and Inklings. One of them is going to run
through the bookshelves and scramble up the bookshelf.
It is gonna make a attack at you, Neo, with disadvantage

(01:12:43):
'cause you are flying kind of upabove the bookshelves.
Like are are you up? Like at the ceiling, like 20
feet up? Yeah, yeah, 20 feet up.
In that case, yeah, it it scrambles up and it's like
barking and pawing at you, but it cannot reach you.
One of the other ones that's at the Far East side, it just goes

(01:13:05):
barrelling down the main hallway, straight through the
center and through the doors to the West, popping through the
door. They're right next to where
couches tucked around the cornerand it kind of like slides
across the hardwood. It's hardback book, claws
digging into the hardwood as it slides and snarls at couch.

(01:13:25):
Other one is doing something very similar, running down the
main aisle towards those W doors.
Halfway almost through the doors, the inkling on the South
end kind of slithers across the floor.
They have much less movement andis just kind of in the center of
the room. And the other inkling to the Far
East also comes Slytherin acrossa bookshelf, sucking ink out of

(01:13:50):
some books as it passes and justslowly makes its way up the main
path in the center of the first room.
You all came through. And with that, just for ease's
sake, I'm going to do this. Another inkling pops out of the

(01:14:10):
shelf on the North End of the first room.
Another animated book comes cobbled together, pouring out of
the far northeast corner of the first room, falling out of the
shelves. Another one pops out of the
shelf that had fallen on top of couch or on top of Kilbour.

(01:14:32):
That couch was on. It pops out on the far West next
to the West door, and a final inkling also comes crawling out
of a book in the far southeast corner and at the top of the
turn order Kilbor. Could you please make me a

(01:14:52):
Dexterity saving throw? Yeah, about a dirty 20.
Dirty 20 is a save. As you're standing there you see
that wheel of books is spinning faster and faster, and as you
look at it a book shoots out of it like a catapult and it

(01:15:14):
whizzes right past your head as you duck out of the way.
That brings us to the top of theturn order and it is Neo, the
Celestial Warlock T Fling flyingin the air.
I may have made a mistake going this direction initially, yes.
All right, I'm going to have my imp go first, OK, and dash over

(01:15:37):
to this door and open it up. Yeah, your amp invisible, it
runs down the center aisle past, you know, you kind of like have
a sense for like where your amp is even as it's invisible.
You you kind of like know how totrack its movement in your
mind's eye and you see it dart across the first room towards
those E doors and there is a bookshelf in front of it.

(01:16:00):
But as your imp pushes on it finds you know it is a push to
open and it opens the Far East doors and you can see a dark
hallway straight ahead to the east through the doors.
OK, let me see. So he has a family speed of 40.

(01:16:25):
So if he dashed, he could go pretty far, might have him keep
going in a little bit more and he can describe Oh.
For your amp, OK. Yeah, and he can describe to me
what he sees. Yeah, he sees a a long dark wood
hallway. It does get narrow in one point,

(01:16:47):
kind of towards the center, Far East, center of the map here.
It narrows in one spot and then it continues down and it looks
like it turns a corner but he can't see past the corner.
Sure. There are some bookshelves in
this hallway, but at this exact moment the hall is quiet.

(01:17:11):
OK, I think I'm going to also use.
I can make it 60 feet if I dash,so I will fly 60 feet to here.
Yeah, right about there. You see everything that the imp
saw. Narrow passage ahead.
There are bookshelves littered throughout here.

(01:17:33):
Some of them are like little top, like short shelves that
have books across them. More scrolls, just like in the
previous room, and you can see Sdown that past that narrow
hallway where it kind of squeezes together.
There is a turn that moves back to the West again.
OK. Am I within range to try to grab

(01:17:55):
a scroll? Absolutely.
Like I said, scrolls everywhere.OK, I'll grab one.
OK, are you stashing it or reading it?
I guess I can read it all right.Roll me AD 100.
D177. You're going to make couch
jealous. I usually roll 4100D1. 177 Oh

(01:18:24):
boy, out of out of the scroll directly in front of you, a
massive banquet feast table appears in front of you,
plugging the narrow stretch of hallway, and it is fully laden,
full of those sweet Danish rolls, pulled pork, casks of

(01:18:47):
ale, all across the table. Could you please roll me AD 6?
3 Middle of the road. All right, full steamy banquet
table full of food right in front of you.
Well, I was hungry, but I wasn'tgoing to say anything.
I yell out. I got some food over him.
I am going to say for anybody onfoot, unless something is done

(01:19:12):
about it, that table is cloggingup that narrow hallway and that
has become difficult terrain forsomeone trying to like move
through their on foot. How tall is the table?
It's a grand banquet face. It's like 5 feet tall or or not
5 feet tall. He's like 3 feet tall.
So me being 3 feet tall would I have any issues?

(01:19:35):
I'm gonna say yes, 'cause there are chairs also that are like
pushed in and like, you know what?
No, that's fucking hilarious. Yeah.
No, you, you can run under it. Yeah.
I'm gonna give it to you. Neil could fly over it, so.
It's really just Kilbor and Couch was screwed.
By the Giant. Feasting table.

(01:19:57):
Marion could probably just picked it up and Chuck it
anyways. On your next turn you could.
Yeah. Anything.
Else new. All right I think that's because
that took a bonus action to grabit Yeah.
OK, yeah. So I'm done all.
Right, that brings us to Kilbor. All right, yeah.
So I'm trying to look around to see if there's anything
interesting in here, if there's like any keys to the castle or

(01:20:21):
more scroll well or anything else.
Holes everywhere of interest. There is the.
Desk There's a podium. Yeah, there is the desk at the
far West side that has a little podium on the desk.
Can I see anything from there onit or?
You can. If you want to run up and do an
investigation, you can. Let's do it.
All right, give. Me an investigation check.

(01:20:42):
An investigation? Oh my goodness.
A4. Pedestal with a rune.
You can touch it if you want. A rune.
Yeah, yeah, I want to pick it up.
That same willowy blue wizard woman appears, much smaller
version on the smaller side deskand it says aha, you have

(01:21:06):
accessed the writing room here you may no security protocol is
engaged and it just starts repeating intruder alert over
and over. I just throw her in my bag.
The pedestal. Oh, the rune, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, no, like the rune iscarved on the pedestal that she

(01:21:28):
is emanating. Oh, can I bend the bag?
Yeah. Put it in a bag.
Your bag is just faintly chanting Intruder alert.
Intruder alert. And you can we right away the
enemies. There is several scrolls of

(01:21:51):
paper and there are quills and ink.
If you would like to do a you, you used your I.
I would say for a bonus action you could do another like
Arcana. Check here if you wanted.
Wait, wait, who's turn is it? It's still Kilbor's turn.
OK, OK, let's see. So I still have my.

(01:22:12):
Action and bonus action. I think touching the rune was
free. OK, cool.
All right. So yeah, I'm actually just going
to run over here and jump up on my up on Fred and I'm going to,
I'm going to ride him and we're just going to kind of cruise up

(01:22:34):
here to this guy and I'm going to have Fred bite at this
animated spellbook. All right, make that Charisma
roll +2. And here we go.
Does a 13 hit. 13 is a miss. Well, I'm sorry, that's a

(01:22:56):
spellbook. Yes, 13 is a miss.
Couch. You see, your friend Kilbor
comes riding in on a wolf. You still have your action if
you'd like to attack with your weapon.
You know, I think I probably, you know what?
Let's use my breath. Weapon.
Not a bad idea. You've got one of these

(01:23:18):
spellbook things right in front of you and then through the
door. Yeah, there's there's several of
them all grouped up there. What it What is the range on
your breath weapon? OK, I can use my action to
exhale destructive energy. My draconic ancestry determines
the size, shape which I am a blue lightning, right?

(01:23:42):
So it's going to be lightning. And when I use my breath weapon,
each creature in the area of theexhalation must make a saving
throw, the type of which is determined by my draconic and
ancestry. The DC for the saving throw
equals 8 plus my Constitution modifier plus my proficiency

(01:24:04):
bonus. OK, so my Constitution is +2.
My. Proficiency.
My proficiency. So that's a + 3.
So that's 15. A creature takes 2D6 damage on a
failed say, and half as much damage on a successful one.

(01:24:27):
The damage increases to 3D6 at level 6, so not there yet.
I can't use it again after. I can't use it again until after
a long rest and it is exhale in a 5 by 30 foot line.
Yeah, 2D2D6 damage. OK, so if it is a straight line

(01:24:54):
you are able to hit three of thebook monsters.
So they need to do. Which kind of check was it?
That was DC saving throw. Right, it was dexterity for your
blue dragon. OK, they are not the most
dexterous. I'm going to tell you right now.

(01:25:15):
One passed and two failed. Go ahead and roll that damage 8.
Believe it or not, one of them bursts apart from the blast that
is the one that Couch took a bigcut out of.
The other two are still standing, but they are pretty

(01:25:36):
well one. One's looking fine.
The one next to you and Couch isfine.
The one in the center aisle in the first room looking a little
worse for wear all. Right.
I'm going to lay on hands on Fred.
I'm going to give him. I'm going to go ahead and give
him 10. OK.
Now your steed I believe has something called Life link.

(01:26:00):
Yes it gives. Whenever I heal myself it heals
it as well. But I've got full help.
Right now you do. OK, great.
You heal Fred. You're you're Celestial Wolf.
Direwolf. Yes, Direwolf.
Sorry, Kilborn, unless you got anything else that's going to
bring us to Tasselhoff? I'm good, thank you.

(01:26:22):
OK, so is the spell book that's in the room still alive?
Yes. OK, so I'm going to make my
attack on that. OK, Waldo, stand still.
I'm used to this. Does 11 hit?

(01:26:43):
11 is a miss. Oof, free to scroll.
Yeah, I'm going to grab a scrolland open it.
OK, run the D100. D100 How about a 63?
63 Please run me AD 6. Oh no.

(01:27:09):
He laughs at everyone. Don't cry.
That's true. How about a good old 5?
For the next 5 minutes. Could you?
Please describe to me Tasselhoff's favorite childhood
toy. Childhood toy.

(01:27:32):
It would have to be within, you know the lizard can't see it,
but it's the sling inside my profile pic.
It's just the stick with the sling and it makes a little
weary A whistling noise as you spin it around.
A translucent version of your sling appears in front of you.

(01:27:56):
And unlike Couch's Shadow, your favorite childhood toy, this
sling floating above, he says Tassel Hoff, Tassel Hoff, He's
the halfling. With all the luck, if he can't
do it, no one can. It starts just cheering you on
and shouting encouragements to you, and for the next 5 minutes,

(01:28:19):
Tauslehoff, you have +1 to all saving throws.
Nice. I'm fearing and clapping and
dancing with the my little favorite.
It's dancing, like, to the sand beyond.
It's dancing like in the same motion as you are and like as
you're bouncing from foot to foot, your little floating sling
is like. Yeah, yeah, dance Tauslehoff,

(01:28:40):
you got this. You're right, You're right.
Got this. Thanks buddy.
Tesla, if you still have your movement, what would you like
to? Do I'm all cheery and skipping
and not even sink your mouth andI just kind of, let's see there.

(01:29:03):
He just kind of skips off through the door and up to the
top here with his new little toyand he's just dancing and
singing with it. So.
Kilburn and Couch, you see Tosselhoff just go dancing out
of the room back into the first room.
You guys all came through and you see him like getting cheered
on by this old toy and he's he'sskipping and dancing and like

(01:29:27):
clapping to himself. A.
What do Kilburn and Couch think of this?
He had a happy childhood. Yeah, this is some kind of a
Harry Potter nightmare. Kilbor you're hit with a sudden
pang of like you're you're in the Mahita combat, but you still

(01:29:51):
are struck with this like littlebit of sadness that hits you
because you can't remember your childhood.
Facts. All right, that is going to
bring us to the next person to turn order and that is couch.
Couch, could you please share a another embarrassing fact about

(01:30:11):
you're barbarian? Oh goodness, back in my hometown
as a kid, I failed history class.
I your shadow pops up between you and Kilbor and shouting
again at the top of its lungs. He goes.
Not only can Couch not read, Couch can't remember anything.
He's constantly failing tests. There's a reason I became a

(01:30:34):
barbarian. He can't read, he can't count,
he can't remember. All he could do is thunk things
hard. Hey, Kilbor goes and you suck at
history. Both.
Yeah. Couch, you suck at history.
And and Kilbor joining in. He likes, he likes your shadow.
He thinks he's pretty cool. Couch.

(01:30:54):
The floor is yours. You got a animated spellbook
directly in front of you, blocking the kind of blocking
the path between you and the door.
To get back to the main room, you got Kilbor on his wolf, Fred
to the left of you. You can attack the thing in
front of you. Grab a scroll, you can just run
it is up to you. Yeah.
Let me grab a scroll, but I justwant to hold it for you.

(01:31:17):
Yeah, go ahead and mark that down.
I don't know if you have grabbedothers or if this is the first
one that you've just like stalked away but or are.
You the first one is. No, this is the first one I'm
going to hold on to for now. Yeah, so.
Just mark down for yourself thatyou got 11-ON hand and yeah, go
ahead all. Right, so I did not attack or
get attacked last turn. So I'm going to use up another

(01:31:39):
rage or that's a bonus action, isn't it?
So I'll just I can't think of it.
It's still. Raging you, you know?
Yeah. No, it it, you're there.
There's a lot of combat happening here.
You're still raging. I'm not going to take that from
you. With with all the, with all the
bullying I've been taking, I'm pretty angry so.
You're you're, you're like getting it non-stop from your

(01:32:00):
shadow. Let's go ahead and see if we can
hit this animated spellbook. All right.
Does a only one hit? 21 absolutely hits.
And an 8 + 4 + 2 for 14. Yeah, between the the lightning
damage and you swinging, you cutthat dog book spell creature

(01:32:25):
right in half pages fly everywhere all.
Right, so can I move in front ofthe door but don't go through it
and then use the scroll? Absolutely.
Let's try a 56. That's just this side of good.
Let's see here. Yay.

(01:32:47):
Oh my God. Couch for one minute.
Couch. You watch as you slowly become
more and more translucent and you become incorporeal.
For one minute. You can pass through objects and

(01:33:12):
walls, but while invisible you cannot interact with physical
objects. All right, so I moved, what, 5
feet to the front of the door? Can I move 25 feet to the South?
Absolutely. Into.
Let's do it. Which which direction are we

(01:33:32):
just going? Straight South.
Or, well, let's think about this, because that would be far
away from the rest of the team. I have no idea what took it
there. It does last for a full minute.
Guys do you think I should go through the wall to the other
room just to get a peek and if it seems safe to stay or if it
doesn't then they can another move back in the next turn?

(01:33:56):
It ain't going to hurt. They ain't going to see you.
Goes do it. Let's unveil some of this man.
But he is incorporate so he he can move through objects but he
is still visible. But no one can.
But he can't interact with the objects, so nothing can hurt him
right now, right? By the by the language of this,

(01:34:16):
it just says that you cannot interact with.
Well, hold on, let me look it upincorporeal.
Let's let's just do a quick check here.
Yeah, hopefully that's not a oneway St.
It seems. Like.
Now maybe like psychic damage could probably still harm you
things. Can still be attacked, but only
by magical attacks or magic weapons.

(01:34:39):
Non magic weapons and attacks will simply pass through you now
to. Be Yeah, I'll type the chance.
To to be fair, I want to make sure that there's no confusion
the creatures that are attackingyou, all they are doing is
casting spells. All of their attacks are
technically magical attacks. So I I don't want you to be

(01:35:00):
surprised by the the phrasing ofthat.
When these things are attacking you, it is a magic attack.
Right. Yeah, that's no problem.
OK, where would Couch like to go?
Let's. Go South Down to the unknown.
I don't wanna say as let let's go just far enough into the room
but not like in the middle or anything.

(01:35:20):
OK, so like just straight S downthrough the wall?
Yeah, something like this. OK.
As you pass through, you find you're at a dead end and you
have passed through the wall of the writing room that was in the
northwest corner and you see a another desk with a shelf on it

(01:35:43):
that is for writing. There's a large kind of cube of
a drawer that's in there. There's a giant potted plant in
the corner and you see forming up out of the bookshelves is.
One of those book. Dogs and it sees you as you pass

(01:36:03):
through the wall and it gives this howling whispering pages
flipping rapidly through as it'slike tongue is just flapping
pages that was. So that's different than one of
them books, right? It's it's the same.
It's a big. Yeah, death Dog.

(01:36:23):
So you have moved about 25 feet. You have another.
What is Couch's movement? I believe you've got like 30
feet of movement. Yeah, it's 30 right now.
Yeah, so you got another 5 feet you can.
If you want. You can slide through that E
wall or you can move N again up like towards the corner of the
new new room that you're currently in.

(01:36:45):
It is up to you. Yeah, well, Couch does like to
fight his rolls against Horrible, so let's go E into the
other room. Just get up deep there and hope
for the best for the next turn. OK, you passed through that wall
and couch. You find yourself in a another

(01:37:08):
room full of bookshelves and also you almost like walk
through it. Directly in front of you is a
chest. I'd love treasure.
On your next turn, you could definitely use a bonus action if
you want to flip that bad boy open.

(01:37:28):
Here. Bookshelves run down the North
and South. All right.
This is kind of a narrow room, and it's kind of hard to see
through the bookshelves and everything, But you do see on
the far end of the room is a giant artificer wheel that's
spinning in place with your limited view.
And this being kind of like the end of your turn, you can't

(01:37:48):
determine exactly what it is, but there is definitely a
complex contraption on the Far East end of this room.
Go. Ahead.
And give me a perception. Oh, go ahead.
I was going to ask in in the DD universe are there mimics or our
treasure Trust treasure? Mimics absolutely exist.
That's my fear. What kind of all did you tell?
Him to do perception please. Outro is a 15.

(01:38:12):
As you are looking around, thereis no door in or out of this
room. But you're in Capora.
But I can go through, Yeah, I can go through walls for like 9
more rounds, right? Yeah, like 9 more rounds.
OK, that brings us to the top ofthe turn order.
We've got 1 animated spell book.It is going to run up on

(01:38:38):
Tasselhoff here and Tasselhoff it is going to make an attack on
you does a 12 hit. I don't think so.
No it does not. All right, Tasselhoff is clear.
There's another one that's in the center aisle here.
It runs across and it is going to take a swing at Fred the wolf

(01:39:01):
as it runs through the W wall there and it's going to make a
swing. Kilbor does a 15 hit Fred.
Yes. OK, could you please roll me AD
4? Well B4 killing your way about a
one. Hey, that's the best you can ask
for. D100, please.

(01:39:21):
Nice. 1414. All right, The creature casts
first level bless on itself. You don't take any damage.
But this book Dog can bless up to three creatures of its choice

(01:39:44):
within range, and whenever a target makes an attack roll or
saving throw before the spell ends, they can roll AD 4 and add
it to the number to the attack or save so that Book Dog and the
one next to Tasselhoff are blessed.

(01:40:06):
And the inkling that's nearest you guys in the main center
aisle is also now blessed. That is it for its turn.
Next is going to be the inkling in the center North End of the
room. It comes gooping across the
floor. Tasselhoff, it's taking another
swing at you. You're kind of the only person

(01:40:26):
there does an 18 hit for Tasselhoff.
It it did. Until I used my reaction to cast
shield. Hey, there we go.
Oh, but it it no, it is not blessed.
OK, Yeah, you you react with shield and it swings this goopy

(01:40:47):
pod like arm at you when you areable to kind of like shrug away
from it and it just deflects offof your arm doing no damage.
You are good to go there. There was another animated dog
here. I mean, I'm sorry, Tasselhoff,
You're, you're like the nearest guy.
Neo ran through the E store couch, went through a wall.

(01:41:09):
This one's going to make a swingat you, too.
I knew when the I had my childlike behaviors.
That get your slave is like Tasselhoff.
Tasselhoff you can dodge all these attacks buddy.
Nothing can get you and as it says.
That. This animated spell dog rolled a
gnat 1. Yes, yes, Tesla Hall, I am

(01:41:33):
great. One of the other inklings in the
main room, it is oozing off to the east, making its way towards
where Neo and his empire are in the Far East hall.
The other one in the southeast corner is doing the same thing,
oozing through the books and shelf and through the door.
Nearly on top of you there Neo Or you know, under you, but

(01:41:54):
you're still flying. So you're you're high up and the
other animated dog runs at Tasselhoff, but it can't quite
get close enough. And with that Kilbor, you see,
I'm not going to make you roll for it.
You just see behind you like 6 more of these animated

(01:42:17):
spellbooks are forming in the writing room to the West of you.
Oh boy. OK, that's gonna take me a
minute just to put these creature tokens on the map.
That brings us to the top of theturn order and that is NEO all.
Right, I'm gonna have my amp liedown here and tells me what he

(01:42:40):
sees. Yeah, definitely.
Just do this real quick. Holy death tone.
All righty. So it is running down that Far
East hall here it darts under the banquet table that you
created. It rounds the corner and it can
see a long room that is South ofthe room that couches in that

(01:43:03):
has no doors leading into it. And this hallway is chalk full,
thick with books and bookshelvesand the shelves.
The map doesn't quite do it justice.
The bookshelves are so tightly packed that moving through them

(01:43:24):
is difficult terrain as you're having to squeeze between
shelves making your way through this narrow hallway down the
center of the map. Am I able to fly above it?
You will be able to, yes. OK yeah my amp will just fly
above it all and Neo is going tocast darkness so that could say

(01:43:49):
15 foot was that spear around him of magical darkness?
OK, I I believe that is going tomake like in like in darkness.
That's going to obscure the banquet table that you summoned
there. Also with that three, as you

(01:44:09):
were moving through the like flying over the table, you're
just catching this like delicious draft of smell coming
up. And when before you rolled AD 6
for the banquet table with a three, you determined the food
is real. The food, the ale, all of it.
All real food. Nice.
Well I hope people help themselves.

(01:44:31):
OK, I'm going to use a bonus action to expand some Ealing
light, which is. So you're let me, I just want to
ask real quick, your your darkness spell that you cast,
you were kind of putting it likein the center of like a narrow

(01:44:53):
part of it, that Far East hallway.
So it no, it, it emulates from me.
Oh, OK. Yeah, I'm, I'm in the center of
it. OK.
Does it pass through walls or isit?
I don't think so, no. Just whatever you can see in
that in the other. OK, so.

(01:45:14):
Couch, just from like your vantage point, even though Neo's
on the other side of the wall, they're casting darkness that
does not affect what Couch sees on the other side of the wall.
Go ahead, Neo. OK, I'm going to expend 4 of my
healing light points as a bonus action.

(01:45:34):
So I regained 4D6. I get points so I get 17 points
back. Puts me almost to full and I
think I think that's all I can do.
Can I grab a scroll or is it? What's a bonus action?

(01:45:54):
If I just use my bonus action, can I grab a scroll and just
hold on to it or do I need the bonus action to do that?
Yeah, so the you've you've used your action and bonus action, so
you would not be able to grab a scroll.
OK, no worries. That's it, I'm done.
So I'm now shrouded in darkness, floating 20 feet in the air.

(01:46:16):
And because me and my aunt both have devil's sight, we can see
through the darkness. Nice.
OK, that will bring us to KilborRiding on Fred.
You have a blessed book dog directly in front of you and
Kilbor you're you're alone in that W room and you see five of
those animated spell book dogs have dropped out of the shelves

(01:46:40):
to the West of you. What would Kilbor on Fred like
to do? I would like can I get around
him and go through the door? Yeah.
I totally want to do that, and Iwant to get up here and I want
to try to bite this inkling. OK, go ahead and make an attack

(01:47:00):
roll. OK, that was the charisma.
Yep, Charisma +2. He can't bite nothing at night.
A. 4 Yep. So even with a six that that is
a miss. All right, well, I think
Kilbor's going to take a swing at this inkling here.

(01:47:22):
OK, I'm going to try to get David Tasselhoff the way out
here. Oh, don't worry about me, I can
get away. Does a 16 hit and I would like
to throw divine smite if it does.
Yeah, 16 definitely hits. OK, 14 that.

(01:47:45):
Inkling explodes. All right.
Black ink splatters all across Fred and Tasselhoff.
All right, like raining. So now I'm like dancing in the
rain, Yes. Absolutely.
And your animated sling is just like.

(01:48:06):
It's raining ink. What a wonderful.
Day. I'm going to, I'm going to make,
I'm going to try to make it rainagain and I'm going to, I'm
going to tell Fred to come over here and try to get this last
inkling. Fred already made an attack this
turn, I don't think he can attack again.

(01:48:27):
No, he's I'm on him. I'm riding him.
OK, so you're making another attack.
Yes, yes, go ahead. All right.
Over there does a nine hit. And 9 does not.
OK, well I think that that does it for me this time.

(01:48:47):
All right, that is going to bring us to Tasselhoff himself,
surrounded by animated spellbookdogs on all sides, one of them
blessed. But remember, you are free to
move without getting opportunityattacks.
Yep. I was counting on that.
I'm going to shoot the inkling in front of me to the east, OK?

(01:49:10):
Go ahead and make that attack. Roll kind of free up the door a
Nat 20. Nat 20 Roll crit damage. 9.
That ink thing is on Death's door.
It splatters onto the other inkling, the other inkling
behind it gets a little bit bigger, and the one youth shot

(01:49:32):
is significantly smaller than itwas.
Well, I also get the D4. I forgot about that Elmo.
Yeah. You don't even.
Have to roll it can't. Survive it's.
OK. Yeah, that inkling.
The acid begins to melt away at it and it it turns into a
plopping gooey puddle on the floor.

(01:49:55):
And then I'm going to use my bonus action and use a cunning
action to dash. Yeah.
All right. And then?
Darting through that. East Door.
Yes. And then I think that's right in
front of the table. Yeah, that's going to put you
right there at that banquet table.

(01:50:17):
And same thing you can see directly in front of you a full
banquet table full of steaming hot, delicious food.
Can I reach out and grab any of it?
Yeah. I'd grab like an apple or
something and start eating it. It's delicious, all right?
And then that's the end of my turn.

(01:50:38):
All right. Right, that is going to bring us
to Couch. Couch, who is alone in the
secret center room with a chest directly in front of him.
A question does eating deliciousfood heal or is it just for fun?
It it is purely for narrative and aesthetic.

(01:51:01):
Well I hope that apple is juicy and I delicious.
Can I check this chest to see ifit's real or a mimic?
Absolutely. Give me an investigation check.
It rolled an 11. You're pretty sure it's a chest?
And couched open the chest. Yeah, no.

(01:51:22):
You passed through it. Oh yeah, Dang.
Let's stick your head in it. Yes.
Can I stick my head in it and see what items are inside?
Absolutely. You're I'm not even gonna make
you a roll. You stick your head into this

(01:51:44):
chest and it's pitch black inside.
Yeah, You said there was something on the east side of
this room. You're able to understand what
that thing. Is if you'd like to move over
closer to it and do an investigation check, you sure
can. Yes, let's do.
That already so you're able to just walk straight through these

(01:52:08):
bookshelves. They don't mean anything to
couch and you are standing directly in front of a large
wizardly looking artifice or contraption.
It is a large wheel. It's almost as tall as the room.
It's like 15 feet tall and it isspinning with arcane energy.
Go ahead and give me a Arcana check.

(01:52:31):
A 10 minutes lunch right now. It is some some wizarding
bullshit, but you see a lever next to it.
Can I grab a scroll? Yeah.
And then pull the lever. Grab a scroll.
Are you opening it or stashing it?
I'm going to stash this. That'll be two stash and then
and I pull the lever. What this year?

(01:52:53):
You you pull the lever and the large gears that are at the like
base on either side of the wheelbegin clunking and turning and
they turn slightly smaller gearsthat are spinning faster and
then above them slightly smallergears spinning even faster.
And the entire wheel begins to spin in place.
And as it does, sparks shoot outof it in every direction.

(01:53:15):
And much like a throwback to the90s like Stargate style, this
portal spins into life directly in front of you and you can see
through the portal another room on the other side of it.
Would that be something I can interact with or would I?

(01:53:37):
Absolutely. I'm not going to get
metaphysical here. Yes, you can walk through the
portal. I do not want to think that hard
right now. Let's let's walk through the
portal, see where it takes me. Love adventure?
I couch you are not sure where you are, but you are in a new
room as you walk through the portal and you find yourself in

(01:54:03):
a long, narrow bookshelf. Full.
Room and it looks like to the southeast there it rounds a
corner. So there there is a path if you
travel down and around the corner, but you are out of
movement points at this time. Now with the same bonus action

(01:54:24):
you used to grab a scroll, you could activate one now if you
wanted to. The way that the scrolls have
been going and I'm not in any current danger, I'm going to
save it. OK.
Well, Speaking of danger, couch directly in front of you,
rolling off the bookshelves. More of these animated spell

(01:54:47):
dogs roll off the shelves, the book sliding together, pages
flitting through the air and sticking to them and folding
origami style into claws and teeth and Neo, you can see
through the darkness. More of these book dog things
are rolling out of the thick line of shelves down the center

(01:55:09):
of the room that you are in and Kilbor and Tasselhoff in the
main room where you guys are still or no Tasselhoff, you're
you're in the hallway. You also see a one of the book
dogs comes crawling out of the bookshelf on the North End of

(01:55:31):
the Far East hallway and Kilbor, you see several of them come
running up out of that West Riding room.
They are charging, crowding at that W door.
More are falling off the shelvesaround you guys.

(01:55:52):
Just this whole center space is getting clotted full and you've
got an inkling directly in frontof you that is going to take a
swing at you Kilbor and that is a Nat 20.
No, that hits. Could you please roll me AD?

(01:56:12):
Oh wait, no, this was the Inkling.
Critz don't mean anything for the Inklings.
Just go ahead and roll me that D100 that is so lucky for this.
Oh Oh my. What about a 2?
2. 22. Oh man.

(01:56:38):
The Inkling. Oh, no, I'm sorry.
Those are. That's the wrong list.
Hold on, let me. That was that was a close one.
OK. The Inkling hurls a bubble of
acid at you. Please make me a Dexterity
saving throw, DC-12. An 18.

(01:57:00):
You dodge out of the way of thisacid bubble as it gets lobbed at
you by the ink creature. Even with a crit.
If it was one of the dogs you would roll the D4 twice and it
would be the higher of the 2D fours.
Just a little bit of meta gamingfor everybody.
If you haven't noticed yet, the inklings only cast can trips.
That's all they can do, and there is no no benefit or bonus

(01:57:24):
to them critting. That said, though, two of the
animated spell book dogs are coming down at you from the
entryway behind you. One is going to make an attack.
It rolled a 16 miss. That's a miss all right.
The other one makes a swing. It also got a nap 20.

(01:57:47):
Oh, that's it. I should not have said anything.
I should not have made such a big deal about the Inklings.
Nat 20, Could you please roll methrough D fours?
How? About an 8A.
Four and a four. OK, talk about some extremes
there. Ha ha Kilbor you you might be in

(01:58:09):
trouble. Could you please roll me AD 124
the the book dog casts a spell and it disappears from your
vision. It it's not there anymore It it
cast a spell. OK, you're not.
It's not invisible. It is heavily obscured so it is

(01:58:32):
very difficult to see and dim. All the light around it dims
Into Darkness as it is wreathed in dark flames, and all of the
light coming from you Kilbor is dimmed by this thing.
Your channel divinity and the darkness wrapping around this
book dog are conflicting with each other, and the book dog is

(01:58:56):
sucking the light away from yourchanneled divinity.
It has some effects, and that's all I'm going to say.
All right, that was its turn. The other one that appeared
here, it's going to go 510152025, but it's just shy of

(01:59:17):
Tasselhoff. It cannot quite reach
Tasselhoff, but Tasselhoff, one of these Buckdog comes ripping
out through the door into the east hallway, just snapping
right at your heels. And the other one that appeared
out of the far North End of thathallway does run up and reach
you. Tasselhoff does a 13 hit.

(01:59:39):
It does not. Excellent.
OK, that is it for the massive buck dogs and all the things
that brings us back to Neo in his shroud of darkness flying
above the banquet table. All right, I'm gonna try to get
as far down here as I can. I'm gonna have my imp fly.
It is about 100 feet from the imp to the far West door.

(02:00:03):
Yeah, he can go 80 if he dashes,so right around here.
And if and if I dash, I'll make it to right about there and I
just fly over the top of these clowns.
Tesla, if you just see this giant wall of blinding darkness
slowly wrap around the corner and away from you.

(02:00:26):
That's all I can do. That's it.
You have a bonus action I believe.
Oh yeah, I guess I could open that scroll.
You can grab 1, you can open one.
It's it's up to. You, I think I well, I still
have one or no? I think you do.
But like, even from where you are, you can again, you can
reach down to any one of these bookshelves in this hallway, you

(02:00:48):
can grab another. Sure, I'll try it.
Why not? All right, D100, I'm.
Probably going to roll low. I don't know man, you got Angel
wings. Oh. 90 baby 90 might be the
highest 1 yet. Let's see.
Night. Q Laughter and 321.

(02:01:09):
He's holding it back now. Maybe this is not.
That's funny. Oh, there it is.
There it is. I knew it.
It's kind of like a mint. This is so interesting.
Neo directly in front of you, you summon A Celestial Librarian

(02:01:32):
who helps you find the answer toone question like a divination
spell. Once answered, she vanishes in a
puff of lavender. Before we dig into this, let me
look up divination real quick. Hey guys, I think I figured out
the secret. Got to roll high.

(02:01:54):
Is that what we're supposed to? Do when you know doing it?
Wrong this whole time. This magic puts you in contact
with a God or God servant. You can ask a single question
concerning a specific goal, event, or activity that will
occur within seven days. The DM offers a truthful reply.

(02:02:18):
The reply might be a short phrase, a cryptic rhyme, or an
omen. The spell does not take into
account any possible circumstances that might change
the outcome, such as like casting additional spells or
loss or gain of a companion. If you cast this spell 2 or more
times before finishing your nutslong rest, there's a 25 chance
it doesn't work. OK that that doesn't apply here.

(02:02:38):
You get to ask the Celestial Librarian a divination.
Question. OK, like to ask it how we make
all these animated spellbooks and all these things that
attacking us stop coming. That was a really good question.
Hope it doesn't give me a confusing Riddle.

(02:03:01):
I'll grok it. Nice.
The chess grok at sports level to.
Call the So the the celestial being looks around and at first
he goes, oh I do not belong here, this is a bad place.
What? What was your question again?

(02:03:22):
Yes, all these animated books and enemies that are trying to
destroy us, they're all coming from these bookshelves and
forming into these creatures. How do we make this all stop?
She in a very like she she she makes little ghostly spits that
like just evaporate into nothingness away from her as she
like spits at the ground angrilyand she says this is a place of

(02:03:46):
chaos to calm the pages and stoptheir flight seek the floor that
second height 3 levers await. All must be turned or Incan page
shall see you burned. Good luck.
And she disappears. Thank you.
OK, Well, I think it's safe to say we found one of the levers.

(02:04:08):
This means we may need to find the other two, which is
something about being high up. What's that?
Which lever are you referring to?
Oh yeah, you're right. I wouldn't have done this.
Never mind. Well, I I told my I.
Will clarify if you're talking about like the pedestal that
Kilbour grabbed. Yeah.
That that was not a lever. Wow, do you have to find?

(02:04:33):
A bag is still just muffled chanting intruder alert.
Intruder alert. All right.
Good to know about. That OK, so yeah, I got a little
rhyme here. I am going to put it in both the
Discord chat for this as well asin the main Telegram chat.
So if you want to reference to it, you can find it in either

(02:04:55):
place. OK.
Need to find levers. All right, that's all I got.
All right, that is going to bring us to Kilbore, surrounded
by book dogs on all sides. Yeah, let's.
I probably got to smash this inkling real quick, don't I?

(02:05:17):
You can run past them they they do not get opportunity attacks.
Oh, the Inkling doesn't. Nope.
The the Inklings also have not gotten reactions.
Well, with that, I am going to tell Fred to hightail it out of
here and let's see, he can go upto 60 feet.

(02:05:40):
OK, so that'll get you 40 feet to Tasselhoff, and then you
would be able to make it like basically to the middle of the
narrow hallway on the Far East side.
But there is a giant banquet table there that's also in the
way. Sounds like I might have to get
athletic. Here, Yeah, you could definitely

(02:06:02):
have Fred do an athletic check to jump up on the table and run
across it. I I like that.
Let's go. All right about a 23 piece of
cake. Fred the Celestial wolf just
jumps around the animated book dogs past Tasselhoff and

(02:06:24):
Tasselhoff. Your little sling is shouting.
Look at your friends. Go, Tasselhoff, you're so great.
You've made such great companions and Fred and Kilbor
are bounding across the banquet laden table full of food and
beers and wines and all the different foods.
Fred eats Fred. Fred eats something.
I guess there's like full, full like roasted chicken, there's

(02:06:48):
pheasant, there's ham, there's like you name it.
Yeah, Kilbor's going to throw a couple some of the non
perishable ones into his bag real quick and all.
Right. Yeah, there's like some some
links of cured venison. You bet.
Awesome, I kind of want to read read a scroll now.

(02:07:09):
There is a scroll that is pushedup like wedged between the
banquet table and the bookshelf that's in that narrow space.
There you can grab a scroll. OK, yeah, let's let's grab one.
Are we grabbing and reading or just stashing it?
I am going to actually read thisone.

(02:07:29):
OK, roll AD 100. 81. That's a good.
Roll Could you please roll me AD6D6?
About a four. A You summon a floating spectral

(02:07:52):
talking skull which appears in the front and floats ahead of
you and Fred as you are running across the banquet table.
It says hi, my name is Carl. I'll answer any three questions
honestly that you ask. I can only give yes no answers

(02:08:13):
though. Yes, no answers.
Do I have to ask them right now or can I save them for a little
bit? Yes, that's your first answer.
You have two questions remaining.
Good, good. I'm not talking to you.
I'll I'll address you next time I talk to you.
That's not how this works. Boy, OK, let's see.

(02:08:41):
I think that was my bonus action, right?
So so. You still have your action if
you want to dash and move some more, or you can use your action
to attack some things, spell or grab another scroll.
Let's grab another scroll. Let's grab another scroll.
Are we opening it? Why not?

(02:09:01):
D138 Kilbor, could you please roll me AD 6?
How about a one? Kilbor your Strength and
Dexterity scores. Swap for the next hour.
Your Strength is a 2 and your Dexterity is a three.

(02:09:24):
Got it. That's not quite as bad as it
could have been. Right, I could use all the
dexterity in the world. All.
Right, I I believe that is your movement action and bonus
action. So that is going to bring us to
Tasselhoff. Tasselhoff, you got 2 animated

(02:09:46):
spellbooks snapping at your heels, banquet table full of
food in front of you which you can just easily run under, and
you got Kilbor riding on Fred above you.
Yeah. So I think I'm going to run
under the table to the end of the hallway here.

(02:10:08):
Yeah. And then I'm going to take a
spot at the animated spellbook to the West directly across.
From me. All right, go and make that
attack roll. Every time there it is, phone
does a 27 hit. Absolutely does.

(02:10:29):
All right, so then we're going to have to do 9 + 1 for 10 + 1 T
4 for another one, for a total of 11. 11 damage.
It is very hurt but still standing as some of the pages
begin to melt and fuse together. And then I'm going to use my

(02:10:54):
bonus accent to open the scroll I have hidden.
There is also one that's just onthe shelf right next to you if
you want to just grab a fresh one.
Oh, I'll grab a fresh one then and open it up, yeah.
There are very few places on this map where a squirrel is not
within reach. I was a 40s.

(02:11:20):
Tasselhoff. Directly in front of you, a
magical statue appears. The magical statue knows where
you are at all times, and it shouts your worst secrets, and
it cannot be destroyed by normalmeans.
Tasselhoff, what is one of your darkest secrets?

(02:11:45):
All my secrets? Well, I'm a kleptomaniac, so I
am constantly taking things thatdo not belong to me and denying
it. The statue shouts.
Tasselhoff's a thief. Tasselhoff, he's a pickpocket.
Tasselhoff's a dirty, rotten larcenist.

(02:12:08):
He steals everything he can get his grubby little fingers on,
and your sling, like, gets into the statue's face and goes, no,
he's not. Tasilhoff is a great guy.
He can do anything that he wantsto do.
And the statue continues. No, Tasilhoff's a piece of shit.
He's a criminal and he should bearrested.
I am not a thief. You are a liar, good Sir.

(02:12:30):
I really find things. Tasselhoff's a liar.
Tasselhoff's a liar for calling me a liar.
And your sling is shouting back. No, Tasselhoff is a good and
pure. He's a good.
Boy, he only tells the truth. That's right.
And I stopped my seat like no, Iam a good boy.

(02:12:51):
You are the criminal here. Quit accusing me of being a
thief. Tasselhoff's throwing a temper
tantrum. Tasselhoff can't control his
temper. Tussle off anything else.
You'd like to do with your turn.Oh sorry about that, I dropped
throw in my tantrum now that it's the end of my turn.

(02:13:13):
OK, that is going to bring us toCouch Adventure.
Couch the 22 fingered barbarian. You are all alone and you can
hear like shouting and ruckus that's happening like far to the
north. It's distant and muted through
the walls and directly South of you are two of these animated

(02:13:35):
spell dogs. What's couch do?
Is this? The full extent of the current
room that I'm in or can I look around us?
No, it it so everything that youcan see where you're standing
now is what you can see eye. It is a long NS rectangular
room, but you can see that past the animated book dogs to the

(02:13:57):
east. It rounds a corner and there
there's more to the east there. Yeah, let me.
Can I run through the wall to the east and see what's on?
It's only corporeal. Absolutely.
Just running. Let's just do like after
movement. Yeah, let's just do straight
East. Just past the wall in case I
need to dash back or something, yeah.

(02:14:20):
Yeah, you dash across and you find yourself in another narrow
NS hallway chock full of books. There's a door directly to the
South of you and all around you, thick bookshelves, and another
hallway that is like AT intersection that goes to the

(02:14:42):
east and the West to the north of you.
Otherwise, this hall is currently empty.
I like empty in this library. Can I go farther east to the
other side of that wall and graba spool while I'm walking the
wind? Yeah, absolutely.
Just grabbing it or are we opening it?
And just grabbing it for now until I see what's in this room.

(02:15:04):
All right, yeah. You walk into another empty
hallway and a couple bookshelves, some sitting
chairs. It is another NS hallway, and
this time it has a path that curves around to the West at the
South end of this hallway. What was that those 2 gave me?

(02:15:24):
How much? Did that take?
Let's see here. That is about your movement.
That's my movement, yeah. I mean, let's keep exploring.
Let's can I dash? To the other.
Side of the wall here on the east.
Are you move through this incorporeal is like so OOP to

(02:15:46):
the design of this entire encounter.
It's OK for that, but I really want to know who's in that
chance. You are in the far southeast
corner of the library and you see rows of.
Thick stairs. On the north side and to the

(02:16:09):
South of you is a spiral staircase.
Be my Dutchman. I have none of my teammates with
me. That is true.
But I also can't really help them that much, at least
physically if I made my way backto them.
Until the income port, well, youcan't.

(02:16:33):
You can't interact with objects.Like can I even climb stairs at
this point or do I just fall through?
Hold on, I'm checking something you real here.
So yes, an incorporeal creature can attack other creatures.
So you can attack anything even while you are incorporeal, and

(02:16:53):
you can only be attacked by magical means.
In regards to the staircase, youcan certainly try to walk up it.
Can I do that this turn or do I need to wait?
Yeah, I'm going to give it to you if if you want to go South
to the spiral staircase. Yeah, let's try going up that
staircase. Yep, you walk up to the base of
the stairs and you take one big step up and forward and you pass

(02:17:18):
straight through the stairs to the underside of the spiral
staircase. Sounds good.
In that case, I'm gonna take a nap and wait for my next turn.
I might go through the wall to the north, but for now I think I
think that's it. OK, with that top of the turn,

(02:17:40):
more creatures are spilling out of the bookshelves every which
way. Here we go.
We're just getting a more pouring out of the Far East
hallway, even more coming out ofthe shelves that are in the
center east West hallway where Neo and Tasselhoff are.

(02:18:02):
More are just running through the halls, Inklings running
animated books, jumping up on the table and clambering through
the food. And two of them are going to
come up behind Kilbore and Fred, and we're going to get some
attack rolls on Kilbore here. Kilbore does a 15 hit.

(02:18:24):
No. Second one attacks, second
attack was a 19, does a 19 hit. Yes it does.
OK, D4, please. A1.
All right. That's good.
D100 please. D100 coming your way.
A 9494? Let's see here.

(02:18:48):
Always interesting. This ink dog casts Inflict
Wounds. A creature you touch makes a Con
saving throw. They take 2D10 necrotic damage
on a fail and half as much on a save.
So roll me a Constitution savingthrow, please.

(02:19:08):
Does a 19. Save.
A 19 does save so you're going to take half damage here.
Necrotic from 2D tens. So that is, oh, I rolled AA1 and
a nine, so right down the middlethat's 10 cut in half to 5.
OK. Inkling is coming up, but it

(02:19:30):
doesn't have enough movement. Other things are running, but
they don't have the movement to reach.
You guys are making your way topof the order.
That brings us back to Neo. Neo and your Imp and your shroud
of darkness flying through the long east West hallway in the
center of the map. All right, I have my imp go open

(02:19:51):
this door, fly over here, open the door, it opens.
Up into AT intersection that goes both North and South and
your imp can see couple of thosebook dogs to the north that are
sniffing around and whimpering because they saw a couch a while
ago and then couch just disappeared through a wall and

(02:20:11):
they don't know which way to go to get to him.
Your imp is also. Invisible.
So they also don't know that your imp is there.
Nope. All right.
He's going to keep flying down here, else does he see?
There is another desk with a pedestal on it and a long long

(02:20:33):
north or east West hallway that stretches the entire span of the
floor. No problem.
So I can see all the way to thiswall over in the room where
couch is that. Correct.
You can't see Couch. He's around the corner.
Yeah, and. See all the way down.

(02:20:54):
OK. I'm going to have him and that
way as well. So let's see the angry
1520203035 and. I will.
On. The desk there there is a
pedestal with the same room similar to the one that Kilbor
found. OK, I'll grab another scroll and

(02:21:19):
pocket it. OK, that's all I'll be.
Kilbor. Yeah, I think we need to get out
of here. So let's see how far we can go
and how quick we can get there. I was.
Going to say you and Tasselhoff have really kind of been left
behind. Hey.

(02:21:41):
They're doing the hard part, exploring.
We're just the distractions. You might as well.
Let's just let's just get there.I think that put me right about
there. OK, now if you want to go up on
top of the bookshelves, I am going to require another

(02:22:02):
athletics check. All right, let's do that.
Does a 21 get me up? There, absolutely.
Fred, though, both leaps and scrabbles up the bookshelf,
pages of books scattering off the shelf as he scrambles his
way up, and you are bounding along the bookshelves on top, no

(02:22:24):
longer having to deal with a difficult terrain of squeezing
around them. Well, you know what?
So I believe that was your movement.
To get about there. You could dash and use your
movement again, attack, bonus action, whatever you'd like.

(02:22:44):
How far can I get with another action?
You would be able to get to the book that that other like
cluster of bookshelves like to the first row there.
Kind of. Kind of putting you dead center
of the map here. Yeah, let's do it.
OK. All right there.
And you still have a bonus action, all right?

(02:23:09):
Let's open a scroll. OK, one that you have on hand or
grabbing a new one? The ones I have are in my in my
bag. OK.
And I've got I've got 2 in. There's what I've got on my
notes. OK.
So we'll just take one and use it with the bonus action.

(02:23:30):
One off the shelf or one out of your pack?
One off the shelf. OK, D100.
And I got a 30. Oh my.
What did you do? Everything in the giant red
circle on the map, which for ourlisteners at home, we're going

(02:23:50):
like, Oh no, what is this? This is like 80% of the map.
All of the candles and everything along the the walls
magically turns pitch black. Tasselhoff directly in front of
you, you can see the long east West hallway that was in front

(02:24:12):
of you. You are just on the outside
fringe of this blackness and youcannot see anything anymore
through this long narrow hallway.
Neo, you are just on the edge ofof this darkness.
Now I need to ask, I know that you as a with your warlock and T

(02:24:33):
fling abilities you have the ability to see in darkness.
Can you see in magical darkness?Yes, magical darkness.
OK, so you are unaffected couch.Even from where you are at the
spiral staircase, you can see the corner of your room on your
side a a corner of it turns pitch black.
And all of the candles that are within this 100 foot sphere.

(02:24:57):
You cannot see anything except for the vague outline of
flickering black flames where all the light sources used to
be. And all of the little black
flames are chanting and mocking. And just like the statue of
Tasselhoff, they are insulting and talking down on all of you

(02:25:19):
and Kilbor, you are plunged intoblindness.
And Tasselhoff, you got book dogs running along behind you
and you've got book dogs snapping and snarling in front
of you, but everything is pitch black and you cannot see ahead
of you through the darkness. Tasselhoff, your sling toy

(02:25:40):
companion, says. Don't worry Tasselhoff, you were
never afraid of the dark and thestatue says you're going to die,
Hafling. You can't even see shit anymore.
How are you going to make it through this hallway and join
your friends? Wait, I don't like you.
I don't like you either, Tasselhoff.

(02:26:02):
Well, well, that's good 'cause now I am leaving.
Kilgore, if you are done, that does bring us to Tasselhoff's
turn. It's all yours.
All right, does the darkness slow my speed down any?
I'm trying to think of how to handle this.

(02:26:23):
Give me you're small. So I'm I'm going to have you
give me a luck check with advantage.
Just a flat T20. OK.
If you get, I'm going to say 11 or higher, you are able to run a
straight shot between the wall and the bookshelves.
But if you roll under that, you're going to go smash the Nat

(02:26:46):
20 run, my little heffling. All right, so as I tell him I
don't like you, I'm leaving. I dashed and then I used the
Cunning for my accent and then for my bonus action I use my
Cunning dash and I run the stentof this hallway right the front

(02:27:13):
of the door. You're you're running through
just blind and your little slingis just going go Tusselhoff go
can't see shit. But you got this buddy and you
with that net 20 luck check you just glide through and around
everything, whether it was your memory of what you saw before

(02:27:36):
everything went black or halfling luck, I don't know.
You don't know. But you managed to just blindly
run down this hallway and lightly bump into the closed
door on the far West End. And do you know you have reached
the end of the? Hall, this was a great day with

(02:28:00):
this clean cheering, neon and ink rain and now Merican flames
and mean statues. We need to get out of here and
that is my turn. I think you still have an
action, don't you? No, I used, I double dashed, I
used my action for a normal dash, and then I used my bonus

(02:28:21):
action to do a cutting dash. You you triple moved.
OK awesome. Use to get through that death
trap of animated books. OK couch, that brings us to you.
Oh. Boy, I mean, it's, it's I, I see
this shadow of darkness consume the corner of the room that I'm

(02:28:42):
in. I'm like kinda, kinda just want
to stay here, yeah. Or let's see, can I?
Where's my dash at? If I move 30 and then I move
another 30, I can make it to three walls down just to see

(02:29:03):
what's in there. I well and I I won't what I
would be able to see because of the darkness.
You would not be able to see anything that is shrouded in the
darkness. Yeah, I mean you could.
With the make the. Commercial bottom right corner
and you you would have visibility of like something.

(02:29:24):
With the the commotions getting louder as the as the rings go
on, I know that the team is coming closer so I'm just going
to. I don't even want a chance a bad
roll on a scroll so I'm just going to chill here.
Yeah, I screwed up earlier. You should not have been able to
grab a scroll because you are incorporeal.
But that's that's my bad. OK, Yeah, I can.

(02:29:46):
I can take that one off the police.
I still have one in my pocket. Nope.
That's. That was my mistake.
You've got it. I'm not going to take it away
from you. Just I I am reminding myself you
can't interact with objects until that incorporeal wears
off, but I'm not going to take it away from you.
Well, I will continue to enjoy the darkness under the stairs
while the shadows seems to be seeing the rest of the building

(02:30:06):
all. Right top of the turn order
couch. You are holding your action, and
it's a good thing because out ofthe bookshelf directly next to
you, an animated book dog pops down out of the bookshelf right
next to you, and before anythingelse happens, you have an
opportunity to use your held action if you would like to

(02:30:29):
attack it. I would absolutely like to chop
its head off. Give me a swing.
At least try, right? Yeah, there's a 13 hit. 13 is a
miss. Wait, wait, wait wait.
Yes, 13 is a miss. Well, there's that.
You have a bonus action. Anything you can do there like I

(02:30:52):
don't think you have? Any bonus section is only rage
at levels 3. OK, all righty swinging a miss
open a scroll. You can't touch him.
He's incorporeal. All right, OK, top of the order
kilbor. You're you're going to have a, a

(02:31:12):
a couple swings on you here. Well, first we're going to
handle An inkling comes out through the shelf.
Oh, no, it can't reach Tasselhoff.
These things are so slow. OK, Tasselhoff.
You hear the glooping, glopping sound of an inkling coming up
behind you as you stand in the pitch darkness against the door
on the far West End of the middle hallway.
And Kilbor. You're you're going to have a

(02:31:39):
few a few swings taken at you here in the darkness as the
candles whisper out. You're the insomniac paladin.
You can't remember your childhood.
One of the spellbooks rolled a nap 3 for a miss.
Second one rolled a 12 for a miss.

(02:31:59):
Last spell dog rolled an 18. Is an 18 a hit?
An 18 hits. One of the spell dogs chomps
down at you from behind. Roll me that D4D. 4/1.
About a two this time, all right.
D100 team's mother. Heinz 57. 57. 57.

(02:32:29):
You've got to be kidding me. The book dog casts darkness,
magical darkness, from a point in a 15 foot radius.
Around the dog, there are more, more darkness in the darkness.
That's it. Multi.
Layers of darkness. The like Kilbor, you just hear a
pack of these spell dogs screwing and clawing against the

(02:32:54):
hardwood behind you. You are absolutely being hounded
by these things. There are seven of them, three
crowding around you and another four in a row behind them.
Neo One pops out. No it can't.
It can't reach you. Is your imp also flying?
Yeah, it can't. Tasselhoff, you're in darkness

(02:33:17):
on the other side of a closed door.
The other animated books and inklings on the other side of
that W door don't know you're there.
OK. The only one left is the one
that's right next to couch. A couch.
It's gonna take a swing at you. It rolled.
A9 does a nine hit. No, Sir.
That's it for the animated spelldogs.
Neo, your turn. All right, one question, did any

(02:33:42):
of these creatures have like blind side or anything like
that? Can they see in magical
darkness? They they have dark vision, that
is magical dark vision so that things are dim but they don't
have like perfect sight. It is a homebrew monster.
So for the sake of this experience, I have given them

(02:34:03):
the like ability to have that dark vision.
OK, but normally they would get disadvantaged and attack, but if
they can see a magical darkness then they wouldn't.
They wouldn't impose it on them.Right.
They are able to see in the magical darkness.
They are like beings of pure magic, basically.
OK. Let's see, I'm going to go ahead
and have my imp dash. So let's see you can go.

(02:34:31):
Well, just to 5050 to there and then another 30, so roughly
there and then I can do 60 so right there and that is all I

(02:34:54):
can really do. I might grab another skull and
just pocket it. You know, OK, you can do that,
Kilbore. You.
Can run around the bookshelves at half it it it.
You can move half your speed trying to squeeze through these
bookshelves, or you can risk it and make another athletics check

(02:35:17):
to try and climb up to the top of the bookshelves and run along
the top. How about I use my level 2
dispel scroll? Will that work on this double
darkness? Yes it would.
Very nice, yeah. Using an action, you will pull

(02:35:39):
out that Dispel scroll and Tassel Hoff and Kilbor.
You both suddenly are no longer in darkness.
You can see, to your horror, Kilbor seven of these spell dogs
barking, chomping, and slashing at you from behind.
You no longer have disadvantage on that Athletics check to try

(02:36:00):
and climb up the bookshelf. You have your movement and your
bonus action. OK, yeah, let's I can go 60
foot. Can't get there earlier.
Yep. I I want to get over here on the
other side of Tassel Hoffman around the corner.
OK, are you climbing the shelf or are you squeezing around

(02:36:22):
them? Let's just squeeze around them
this time. OK, so to get to the other side
of these bookshelves, it would take 30 of your movement points.
Well then, let's just try to go over them.
You would be able to use your dash to move another 30, but Oh
well, yeah, 19. You up there?

(02:36:44):
Yep. So with that, you're able to
bound along the top, and with 30feet, that would put you right
next to the Inkling behind Tasselhoff.
His movement is 60 foot. Yeah, so you could burst through
the door and keep going. Let's let's take a bite of the
inkling. OK, go ahead with that attack

(02:37:04):
roll. Does a 12 hit. 12 does hit the
inkling. Nice.
Finally, first blood for Fred. Where am I at?
Charisma check +2 or wait. I'm sorry, no you you did hit.
So once it hits, it's one D 8 + 2. 1D8.

(02:37:28):
Those two weeks. Thank you. 6 + 2 for an 8.
The Inkling splatters apart, butis still standing all right.
So I still have my bonus action.I would I would like to switch
to my Longbow. OK, can definitely do that.

(02:37:50):
Couch for a reason you can't explain.
A shiver runs down your spine. Arm hurts.
All righty, Kilbour. Anything else?
No, I think I'm I'm done. All right, that brings us to
Tasselhoff. How close is too close for the
short bow? Like 5 feet if you're like

(02:38:12):
engaged in May, right? So this inkling by far enough
away. It is.
Yeah, you are. You are just far enough away.
It is not within melee range. OK, I'm going to take a shot at
it before running away. There's a 12 hit.

(02:38:34):
A12 just hits. All right, and it take 9 loves 4
for 12. Dead, dead, dead.
Fred the wolf takes a bite out of it and you shoot through the
ink BLOB and it dissolves into apuddle on the floor.

(02:38:59):
All right. And then I'm going to take my
movement, my natural movement tosteer.
There is a pedestal on the bookshelf with a or on the not
bookshelf on the writing desk, there's another one of those
pedestals with a glowing glowingpedestal with a rune on it.

(02:39:20):
Can I touch it? Yeah.
I touch it. Another illusory spectral
appearance of the blue Astral wizard woman appears and she
says you have activated the reading desk.
This is a place where you can wait a minute.
Security protocol is still engaged.
There are still intruders in thelibrary.

(02:39:42):
Whack is in lockdown and she also begins to chant intruder
alert. Intruder alert.
I start stomping my feet. I am not an intruder.
I am meant to be here. I am not a criminal.
Why does this place keep callingme criminal and then now I use
my cunning accent and dash away from the pedestal?

(02:40:05):
As you're shouting that your your little dancing sling says,
I don't know Tassel Hoff, but it's probably a good idea to
grab that thing. Don't you think it would be a
good idea to grab that little pedestal?
I. Something.
Like Glass and I pick up the pedestal you're.
So smart Tassel Hoff, great job.Thank you buddy, you're the only

(02:40:31):
good thing about this place. And then now I'm not as mad.
So now I'm just kind of skippingdown.
To here all right. And that will be the end of my
journey. BLOB of Neo as he flies ahead of
you, it's. Leading the way.
Yeah, that brings us to Couch. Couch You are face to face with

(02:40:53):
one animated spell dog there in the southeast corner by the
spiral staircase. I will take another attempt at
its life. Take a swing at it.
As a 17 hit. Absolutely roll me some damage.
I do the one D 10 + 4 OK and couch rolls a 13 for damage plus

(02:41:16):
rage 1515. Nice.
It is on death's door. It is you fully lop off one of
its back legs and cut through the pages of its body.
It's looking very messed up. And as you finish that swing,
you're looking at your your weapon and your hands, all 22

(02:41:39):
fingers, and you're seeing that you are slowly turning more
solid. You're becoming less
incomporeal. Wonderful.
Can that imp tack bangs or just run around?
Technically he could attack technically.
He could attack. So Caps looks over at the imp
and says hey man, I left it for you to kill.

(02:42:00):
Technically he's invisible, but you wouldn't be able to see him.
Well, I can, and I feel his present.
Neo, your imp can get a kill if it's around.
Well, I should be able to shoot at it next round anyway, so one
way or the other. Can I move to the Far East wall

(02:42:23):
side of the spellbook? Yeah.
Also, while you're there it it doesn't show on the map, but in
the far southeast corner past the spiral staircase, there is
another one of those writing desks that has a small pedestal
on it. Oh.
Well then, let's move over there.

(02:42:45):
You move down into the very far southeast corner, tucked around
the spiral staircase, and there's another pedestal with a
glowing amber rune on it. Would you like to touch it?
Wish I could, can I? You can try.
Let's try give. Me a luck check D20.
Couch rolls of 14. So your your hand is like it's

(02:43:08):
it's like putting your hand through water, like you can feel
the resistance and your hand is like scooting it across the
table as you like try to grip itand move your hand through it.
And after like pawing at it a few times, the room does finally
activate as it like senses a touch.
It's like a smart like a cell phone screen that's got like a

(02:43:28):
couple drops of water on it, like you touch it and it it
can't quite figure out if something is like touching the
screen or not. But you find they like your semi
incorporeal hand like connects with the room and the blue
wizard lady pops up and she says, Ah, welcome.
You have reached the desk next to the security office.

(02:43:51):
This is where, hold on, you are couch the barbarian.
You, you are the intruder. No intruder alert.
And she also begins chanting intruder alert over and over.
Even with 11 fingers like you can't grab things that'll

(02:44:12):
that'll do it for me. All righty.
OK, at the top. We're going to do this quick.
These things are also confined by that restricted movement
kilbor. They cannot quite reach it.
You just see on the rows of either side of the books down
the center aisle, just piles andpiles of dog spellbooks on top

(02:44:34):
of each other, slashing, barking, yapping.
One of them is gonna run up, make an attack on Tasselhoff,
your little sling buddy, shouts Lookout.
And it rolled A gnat too for a miss.
The animated spellbook next to couch runs up.
It's going to take a swing at him.
It rolled a 17. Is that a hit for a couch?

(02:44:56):
That is it there. Couch, please roll me AD 4.
Couch rolls A2 OK. D100 please.
A-75. That book Dog cast Prayer of
healing. Up to five creatures of your
choice who remain within range gain the benefit of a short rest
and two D Eight hit points and acreature can't be Basically the

(02:45:22):
the spell dog in the far southeast corner has just healed
itself back up to full health. But that's all it did.
It was a beneficial spell to itself and the other dogs are
chasing after him. The ink thing can't go very fast
or far. This guy just runs past the
door. OK guys, you are all nearly to

(02:45:47):
the stairs. Neo, you are first.
All right, I'm going to move right about there and going to
cast Sorcerer Burst this creature.
OK. Am I sake?

(02:46:07):
13. 13 is amiss. Who bueno?
Is there anything for like half damage or is it just like a all
or nothing spell? No, no, it's all or nothing.
OK, how's your health, couch? It was good until a couple
seconds ago. I have a 26 out of 32.

(02:46:29):
OK, that's not too bad. I let me see, what's the range
on that 60 feet? All right, I'll throw you AD 6
of health. You want a roll or you want me
to roll? I'm going to rely on your role.
I ain't been doing too well. I can't promise anything either.
Oh nice, all six. 6 Thank you, that puts me at fault.

(02:46:54):
Nice. I too can heal myself.
You dog all. Right, so I'm going to, I have
my in fly up the stairs, see if we can get to the second floor.
It can, but I cannot load 2 mapsat the same time so I am just

(02:47:22):
going to describe for you. As it flies up the spiral
staircase round and round, it finds itself at the top in a
small cube like closed room witha single door to the north.
But it would have used all of its movement going up the spiral

(02:47:44):
staircase and getting up to thisroom.
OK, it's just a small room with a door and it's pretty much it.
That is it. OK, All right.
That's all I can do. All righty, Kilbor.
Yes, yes, yes. It's time to do some running and
dashing, I think. Yeah, he's going to tell Fred to

(02:48:07):
go, go, go. So let's see how far.
Yeah, like 15 feet to get through the door.
Another 15 feet gets you to the animated spell book next to the
desk. And then if you were to or does
your your Fred has 60 movement speed?
60 would put me right up next toTassel Hoff.

(02:48:32):
Yes, it would you. Spin.
Around the. Pash and do athletics and jump
over stuff and try to get up there towards next to neo.
Yeah, no, no athletics check needed.
You get a straight shot straightdown this hallway curving and
you you've kind of guys have gone in like AZ shape, right?

(02:48:53):
Like, are you, are you running into Neo's darkness there?
Yeah, why not? OK.
If I can grab a scroll on the way by that bookcase there.
Yeah, bonus action, you snag a scroll as you run by, but I'm
going to ask you to give me AD 20 lock check. 18.

(02:49:15):
You run into the pitch darkness of Neo's spell and you feel Fred
the wolf like scrape along a wall, bounce into a bookshelf,
but neither you nor Fred taking serious or meaningful damage and
you are in the pitch black of Neo's darkness.
Are we opening the scroll or just putting it in the bag?

(02:49:38):
We're going to keep it in the bag.
Actually, I'm not going to put this one in the bag.
I'm going to like, tuck it my armor.
OK, Tasselhoff, it is Tasselhoff's turn.
All right, so I'm going to double dash and try my luck
running through the darkness to try to get to the stairs.

(02:49:58):
Give me that, I'm going to do itagain.
DD20, but with advantage being small.
All right. Oof, First one's A4.
Oof, that one's A5. Not quite so lucky this time.
You're sling toy cheering you on.

(02:50:20):
You run into the darkness and you go face first into a
bookshelf and you careen off of it and you slam into the wall
just like a ping pong. You're like bouncing back and
forth down this narrow space between wall and bookshelf, just
hitting everything along the wayas you run through the darkness
and out the other side. Roll me AD 4 of just bludgeoning

(02:50:44):
damage as you just keep smashingyour face and shin and arms into
everything. One damage.
Yeah, pretty, pretty minimal consequences there.
OK, You make it to the foot of the stairs and you can see the
animated spell book there next to Couch.
Couch is turning solid. There's the spiral staircase.

(02:51:05):
You can hear the imp flapping upthe stairs and I think.
That was is that. That was your movement like a
man bonus. Yeah, but I do have 7 like so
there's what's like 83 feet. So I do have like 7 more feet if
that could get me up the stairs.I mean, it'll get you like part
way up. OK.

(02:51:27):
And then is that that book down there still alive?
Yes, it is. OK, but I don't have any
actions, so that's the end of myterms.
All right couch, you got a fullyre healed book dog right in
front of you. And I am resealed as well.
And run up the stairs if you want.

(02:51:48):
And am I solid enough to get that the room in my backpack?
You are now, yes. All right, let's shove it in
there and let's run up the stairs and hope the others can
follow me on their next turn. OK, All right, Just for the sake
of levity, because there are no,there's the one book dog that's
there. I'm not going to like force the

(02:52:10):
issue here. All of you are able to make your
way up the stairs. You have zigzagged and run your
way through the 1st floor of theArcane Library and all of you
make your way to the second floor.

(02:52:30):
You might have to hit refresh and there will be a new map
here. A giant quilt.
It does kind of look like a quilt, you're right, all of you
are at the top of the stairs. You can hear the book dogs down
below snapping and chomping at the bottom of the stairs, but

(02:52:52):
they are staying downstairs and your imp gives a push, throwing
open the doors and the four of you with the the hounds chomping
and snapping at you from behind and scrambling up the stairs
just. You can hear hundreds of them
now. You make your way through the

(02:53:13):
door and you're able to slam it shut behind you, and there's a
large bar that you're able to set over the door, barring it.
And within moments you hear the loud boom boom, slamming and
clawing, scratching. And you can hear under the door
arcane sparks and flames and water and fire flying

(02:53:34):
everywhere. And all of you reach the
security protocol floor. In front of all of you is a
giant mishmash of different colored tiles and a tall glowing
pedestal that's at the center ofthe room.

(02:53:58):
And you guys all kind of take a moment and I don't know, like
maybe the maybe the three of youare standing outside of Neo's
darkness. Yeah, I was going to move them
over a little. The couch has a pedestal, Kilbor
has a pedestal, Tasselhoff has apedestal.
All of your pedestals as you arenow standing next to each other

(02:54:19):
in unison are chanting intruder alert, intruder alert, intruder
alert and then they all stop at the same time and then all three
of them say security floor reached initiate final security
protocol lockdown. And on the pedestal at the
center of the floor, it begins to spark and flames much similar

(02:54:44):
to the portal couch that you walked through that only you saw
down on the 1st floor. Very similar to it on the floor.
Gears begin to turn and spin andcrank.
And up out of the center pedestal of the floor, a massive
book creature claws and paws itsway up out through the floor.

(02:55:06):
And it has glowing angry arcane blue eyes, similar to the blue
arcane of the pedestals that you've all grabbed.
And it stands up on 2 tree trunk, back legs, long pagebound
leather bound hardback book armswith long papered claws sticking

(02:55:31):
out. It stands in the center of the
room, and through razor sharp hardback book teeth you hear it
mutter. The Crippled God does not
entertain intruders. These interlopers will be
brought to an end and the archive will be kept secure.

(02:55:55):
No way. And with that, we are going to
have to end the first half of the Dewey Decimal disaster.
That is where we're going to end.
Not want to kill. Them.
No. No.

(02:56:17):
Oh. Guys, what a we're going to be.
What a. Plenty of time for this guy, I
think. What a what a Dungeon Sprint?
Because that was not a crawl at all.
That was rough. Yeah, but you guys have made it.
You are up at the 2nd floor witha whole lot of stuff for me to

(02:56:38):
describe and explain. But with that we are going to
bring the Dewey decimated systemto a close for this first.
Honestly, like 3/4 of this adventure.
You guys have a boss fight ahead.
We are going to get to that in our next episode.
This has been a very interestingand chaotic dungeon crawl with a
lot of randomness and silliness.I don't know about you guys, I

(02:57:03):
thought it was a blast. There was a lot of randomness to
this. Yeah, like the.
Should use your adventure dice rolls.
That was pretty cool. Yeah, there.
There's a lot of rolling involved in this, but we're
going to bring this to a close, going to give everyone a chance
to say goodnight, give you a quick plug, and we'll just start

(02:57:24):
right at the top here with WaldoMcCoy.
Waldo McCoy, say goodnight to the listeners.
Oh yeah, goodnight everybody hada great time.
Check out the shit coin ship on X or come see some shit coin on
Shiberium and on Telegram. And yeah, have a good evening.

(02:57:46):
Easy as that couch adventure. Sir, I'm going to.
Change it up a little bit and plug bone the gas token for
shiberium. It is.
Shiberium is live, been live fortwo years going on three I
think. There is plenty of protocols,
plenty of technology, plenty of utilities.
Use bone to stake, farm delegateherb rewards, vote for the with

(02:58:09):
the Dow Bone Shib, reach the ecosystem tokens and now a treat
as well. Come support the Shib army,
become the Shib army, get on Shiberian, and let's go.
Off. Absolutely.
And just to to attack on to thatthings like K9 utilize bone,

(02:58:29):
things like DND 721 utilize boneand the Shabarian ecosystem.
So can't promote that enough. If you are listening to this ad
and you're saying, man, what is that?
How do I get involved? I'm just going to do this now.
Go to our website, d&d721.com. That's the letter D, the letter
N, the letter d721.com. You can join any of our socials.

(02:58:52):
You can follow along and if you want to learn more, all you got
to do is ask. And we have an army of people
who would be happy to help you, educate you and get you started
on your crypto journey. So thank you Couch for that.
Shout out for Shibarium. I'm just sneaking my plug in
there on top of yours because they go very nicely together.

(02:59:15):
Crypto therapist, say goodnight to the lovely people.
Goodnight everybody. Hope you enjoyed the first
installment of this adventure. It was definitely fun.
My favorite part was just listening to mud laughs at every
single D100 roll that was that was great.
Definitely a lot of fun. Look forward to finishing off

(02:59:35):
here soon. Far as plug and go, check out
the Shiba Sequoia Forest on X and pick out what we're doing
with trees and music. And we're doing Shiba Fest again
this year in Michigan. Try to come to that if you can.
And you can check out what I'm doing on desotomusic.com over on
Alluvio. Very nice, and as with

(02:59:58):
everybody, we got those links all down in the description
below. Last but not least.
Mr. Barkoshi, everyone's happiest little halfling who can
just run through dark hallways. Barkoshi, say goodnight to the
good people. Goodnight good people, it was a
blast. I love being childish and

(03:00:19):
throwing 10s of tantrums at the house.
Great times, great times. Up for the plug.
It's actually going to be for a parents project, Collision.
It's going to be an MMORPG on the Siberian block screen.
He has a lot of the objects and gameplay developed and he's

(03:00:40):
about to enter beta mode senior soon, so be on the lookout for
that. Good night everyone.
Fantastic. Again, links down in the
description, everybody. This was a wild ride of a
dungeon crawl. Dungeon Sprint.
Countless monsters, a lot to juggle, and these players did a
fantastic job juggling a whole lot of randomness as their stats

(03:01:05):
were shuffled around and extra fingers are popping out of
places, and a whole lot of cheering and insulting.
It's not very often I just get to be mean to my players, but
tonight I got all kinds of opportunities with that.
My name is Mudd. I'm the dungeon master of this
mess. Thank you so much for listening
and have a wonderful rest of your night.

(03:02:08):
Called by a crack in the silent block smoke and the scenes in
the pavement talks. It wasn't there yesterday.
Now it's gates and glyphs and Gray parchment size from behind

(03:02:40):
locked doors, looks with claws in the post, paper feet on
stone. You're never quite alone.
Silk and traps on every page. Pictures switch inside the page.
Please don't work. They watch you fumble tones.

(03:03:04):
They breathe and make you stumble.
Whispers. In the stacks where the spells
don't. Sleep every.
Page turns back and it cuts too.Deep in.
The dark, the knowledge bites. Floorboards creak like ribs and

(03:03:54):
paint stain glass eyes in the window panes.
A pop of cracks and silence rings as paper wings flap slow
highly. UBS I think that humming creep

(03:04:25):
words that slide in your feet. It's not just a library.
It wants to read you till you see titles hissing broken talks.
Pages feel like ancient folks. Kneel and listen, don't speak

(03:04:45):
back. Something's breathing in the
black. Whispers in the stacks where the
silence feeds. Every shadow acts like it knows
your knees in the dark. The sigils glow.
You lose time but never know. Scratch your name, then it

(03:05:08):
scribbles back. Yeah, you don't come out with
the stacks. Whispers in the stacks, where

(03:05:52):
your thoughts? Get them every.
Secret you keep gets under your skin.
Don't speak loud. It draws them near the words
they. Know what you fear?
Stay too long and it won't let go.
Yeah, the library knows your soul.
