With over 42 years of experience, he served as a firefighter, as a paramedic, and then chief in some of the most demanding environments, from leading emergency response teams in Maryland Heights in Missouri to serving as county fire chief in Stafford, County, Virginia. Along with serving as state EMS director in Wisconsin. Mark's career is a testament to, dedication, resilience and leadership in the face of crisis. Today, as the director of the Office of Emergency Services for Durham County, North Carolina, Mark oversees emergency preparedness and response for one of the state's most dynamic counties. His work spans coordinating resources, leading teams, and ensuring the safety of residents through both natural disasters and day to day emergencies.
