Fuck it, Jake.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
We are live, buddy.
We are live Episode four.

We are at Pennhurst Asylum,it's.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Pennhurst Asylum.
Normally I'm the one thatscrews up the pronunciation, but

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Thank you for making
me look good.
I'm not lying.
I'm kind of on the Jake train.
I've been fasting and it's likeI got the clarity, but I'm also
got like the anxiety, theanxiety and also the discomfort
that comes along with it.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Because I think it's
funny, because when I fast, for
some reason, I can't sleep atnight and you think it's the
hunger, but no, it's actuallyyour alertness, that's keeping
you awake.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, it's fucking
crazy.
And then I've been drinking ourBlack Craft K-Cups and I'm
cracked out of my fucking skull.
Because when you're on an emptystomach with caffeine.
It's just like on overloadright now.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
I'm cracked out of my
skull right now.
I've had like three cups ofcoffee already today.
Oh man, we're here.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
We are talking
Pennhurst.
We are keeping it back inPennsylvania, which I like, our
home state.
I like it.
We just did the Ritz TheaterShout out Josh Balls, what a
great episode oh, we did Shadesof Death.
We're in PA, we're kind of on aPA vibe.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
We can all agree that
Pennsylvania is probably the
most haunted state in the UnitedStates.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
I wonder if we should
do a little research.
We can.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Well, I bet you New
Orleans is probably New Orleans,
probably has some crazy.
Is it New Orleans or NewOrleans?
New Orleans or is it NewOrleans?
No, I think we pronounce it NewOrleans, but it's most likely
New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Also, last episode
was Josh Ball's Ritz Theater,
Now Speeder's Theater is.
I can't speak today.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Speeder.
It's the fasting Speeder,welcome Speeder.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Theater is spelled
two different ways.
Did you know that?
Speaker 1 (01:39):
T-H-E-A-T-R-E,
t-h-e-a-t-r-e-t-h-e-a-t-e -R.
And what's the difference?
I don't know.
I don't know either.
That's the American languagefor you.
That's the American language.
Speaker 2 (01:48):

We charted to.
We hit number 28.
That's wild to me.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
We hit number 28 on
the charts.
That has to be hard to do.
Knowing how many podcasts existout there.
We know the market's supersaturated.
So for us to be able to elevateto that level just within the
first couple episodes, it'spretty impressive to me, it
shows what a great community wehave.
Shout out to everyone inPatreon.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Three new tiers are
available also.
That's patreoncom slash,blackcraftcult.
Hell yeah, it's just been greatman.
It's been good and a lot ofpeople are reaching out saying
they really enjoy thestorytelling aspect of this.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yes, and I got some
stories for you today, yeah, and
I got some stories for youtoday, yeah today's going to be
a good episode A couple morethis time.
It's funny because we didShades of Death and it was such
a unique, specific locationwhere there wasn't too many
stories attached to it, buttoday we're getting into a
location that has like abundancegalore of stories attached to
it and not really feel-goodstories either.
(03:21):
This is a pretty grim locationthat we're covering today.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, dude, it's a.
This is a pretty grim locationthat we're covering today.
Yeah, dude, it's.
It's uh, because we've beenresearching a lot of the stuff
we're talking about, yeah, andwhen I was researching pennhurst
, like that feeling of just like, oh, that overall, just like
sickness, I I honestly wonder,bro, I'm not even kidding
because I was doing so muchresearch last night on other
episodes, upcoming episodes, andespecially this one, um, I have
not felt good.
I'm being serious with you I'mnot trying to be funny, I I put
(03:46):
this on everything I got eversince last night I started
really researching stuff and Iwas really I dude.
I got sucked down the rabbithole of the pen of the pen.
Hearse, I was watching all thedocumentaries.
I watched two documentarieslast night and I watched um,
that's crazy.
Um, I forget to come.
I forget the other podcasterswhile you're watching.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
I was doing all the
reading, I was doing all the
research, but I have not feltgood genuinely since I watched
the documentaries.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
I can't even speak
today, but Penrith is one that
we want to first off visit tosome degree.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Oh yeah, I think Okay
.
So I was going to say we shouldaddress this real quick.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
This should be the
first one.
I think this should be thefirst one that we go to.
I think this should be thefirst one that we go to.
We invite the 666 Club to.
We take David and Allure, whichDavid and Allure will be
joining us today.
The ghost experts they will bejoining us.
Fun fact, they've toured it,They've ghost hunted it, oh sick
.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
And they've cut some
shit on footage which we will be
sharing later.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
We're going to launch
that.
We're going to launch thefootage a little later.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I want to do a little
bit of recap too.
We actually had them on acouple of episodes previously
and we did do a live premiere ofthe black craft salem location
and you should go check up onyoutube, uh, for that episode,
because at the end of theepisode we have a live video
recording 10 minutes, 11 minutes, 11 minutes of like what the
actual haunting looks like.
Uh, david and Laura, and it wasjust very fascinating.
(05:08):
Still got some questions.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I'm curious.
It's like Jake.
So what you know what?
You know what I'm mostlylooking forward to.
You know what I'm mostlylooking forward to about what
about this show is, as we buildout the catalog is when you are
going to be doing theseovernights, because you've
committed to that, by the way, Idid commit.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
I did type this
online stating that I will on
full on, do a night at a placeby myself with just a camera,
and I just document at night.
Yeah, I'm ready.
I cannot wait till theseepisodes.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
I'm not afraid of the
dark.
I can do it.
You're really not.
I'll give you credit.
Growing up as a kid, I watchedyou walk through woods.
I'll really not.
I'll give you credit.
Growing up as a kid, I watchedyou walk through woods.
I'll give you hey, I'll giveyou your flowers on that you are
not scared, I'm just crazy.
But I just can't wait tilleveryone starts clipping like
episode two, episode five, episode six, and you're like
ghosts aren't real.
Ghosts aren't real.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Ghosts aren't real.
And then it's like your wholelife.
I'm not sleeping at nightanymore.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I keep on hearing
voices?
Speaker 1 (06:03):
I don't know what's
happening?
There's this little girl that'sin my room.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
I'm telling you, bro,
I can't get her out.
I think you're just obliviousand I think you're closed off on
purpose.
I don't think I'm oblivious.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
I don't think I'm
closed off.
I just think there's somethingmore at play here.
Okay, got to ask questions inorder to fully understand and
why a spirit just hangs aroundin a bank for 300 years.
Well, where the fuck do youwant them to go?
Somewhere else, where thatseems?
Speaker 2 (06:28):
the most logical, bro
.
We're on a blue bubble spinningin outer space right now.
Yeah, we're a blip, actually,never mind.
He thinks yours is flat, nevermind, anyway, that's for another
discussion.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
No, I don't Don't
listen to him.
Yes, you do, maybe, but we'retalking all things Pennhurst
today.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
But I do think, jake,
this should be the first one,
and once we speak to David andLaura, a little bit later they
agreed.
I talked to them last nightabout it.
So I think that's where westart with this, because it is
in PA.
I think that's where we kick itoff.
I think this should be ourfirst one that we truly go to as
Do you Believe in Ghostspodcast, to go explore and never
been there before.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Truly go to as Do you
Believe in Ghosts podcast to go
explore, and never been therebefore, I've never been there,
we have no previous experience, and I think that would be the
perfect location for me to do myfirst solo outing.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
I mean of all
locations.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
I feel like I'm going
hard with this one,
volunteering myself to do it.
I think we should let thePatreon decide where you go.
You know what they're going todecide.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I want you to go to
Hell House, but that's a whole.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I want to know more
about this Hell.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
House.
Everyone keeps on bringing itup and I'm very curious.
We'll ask David and Laura aboutit, because they really know
about Hell House.
All right, when we have them onlater in the episode we'll ask
about it.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Okay, all right, so
we want to get into a little bit
of the facts about PennhurstAsylum.
I wrote some notes, I did a lotof studying yesterday on this
place and there's some crazystories attached to this
location and there are none ofthem are happy.
It's.
(07:55):
This is a messed up locationwith a very extensive horrible
past and so I just probably whatshould do a little bit
disclaimer if you're likeuncomfortable listening about
stories of you know, likepatient, like abuse and stuff
like that, maybe this might notbe the best episode for you.
I'm just going to throw thatout there because there is some
disturbing content in here.
(08:16):
But moving forward.
So Pennhurst Asylum was builtbetween 1903 to 1908 in Spring
City, pennsylvania, and it wasoriginally designed as a state
school for children withdisabilities, but it quickly
became overcrowded and notoriousfor the poor living conditions
in that location.
For most of the buildingsattached to the assembly it was
(08:37):
about three or four stories.
So it was a fairly biggerlocation and it was owned and
this is kind of funnyconsidering the poor it was
owned by the Commonwealth ofPennsylvaniasylvania.
I know wasn't owned by anindependent family, it was
literally owned by the state.
Like that's just wild that theywould let conditions get this
bad.
But this was a different era.
Unfortunately, I don't thinkwe're in that kind of state
anymore.
(08:58):
Uh, the capacity was about 2,700residents that's a high amount
and there was only about 600 instaff and, according to what I
researched, each staff memberpending on their shift had at
(09:18):
least 70 patients they wereresponsible for.
That's wild.
I can barely handle.
I can barely balance takingcare of my dog, let alone
balancing 70 patients who allhave very separate conditions.
That had to be such a toughwork, working tough place, for
the patients, obviously, butalso for the staff as well.
(09:40):
It was known for neglect andabuse and very unsanitary
conditions and the buildingsitself were actually connected
by this whole tunnel liketunneling underneath the
buildings.
That were connected and how,and that's how they would
transport, uh, the patients.
And it's funny because I'mactually thinking of a movie and
(10:01):
you watch this with me.
A couple years ago, uh calledhouse on haunted hill from 1999
and I can't help but feel thatthat insane asylum is almost
kind of influenced by penhurst, because I get that same exact
vibe.
It's got to be, even if theydon't admit it, it definitely is
well, it was closed back in1987, which was the year I was
born, uh, after a federal courtruled it violated patients'
(10:24):
constitutional rights, andyou'll see here soon why and
then it became an historicalhaunted attraction and also a
paranormal hotspot, which Davidand Laura are going to review
with us in a little bit.
What took place here, theexperiments and treatments, was
electric shock therapy forsterilizations that's messed up.
Isolation in small locked roomsfor days or even weeks, uh,
(10:48):
physical restraints likeshackles, cuffs and straight
jackets straight jackets for, like, long periods of time.
And also unapproved drugexperimentation in later years.
And that just breaks my heart, knowing it's that taking place
and this was a different era.
But that doesn't excuse the factthat these people still had
(11:08):
intent and knew exactly whatthey were doing to this patient.
So to me, this is very evil.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I know it's, it's um
it's really fucked up to say,
when I was, when I was doing allthe research too, it's like you
want to be like wow this.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
It's like you want to
be like wow, this state of
Pennsylvania or I mean it's thegovernment, so what do you
fucking?
Speaker 2 (11:27):
expect.
Right, we never know what toexpect.
Fuck all that.
But when you look at Pennhurstand you really see what it was
about, it didn't have good vibesto it.
Oh no, like you know what Imean.
Like even their intentionsdidn't seem like it was good.
It almost felt like this was aplace where it's like let's just
try shit here.
Let's test shit hereexperimenting in nk ultra and
all this weird, likepsychological, I'm not trying to
(11:50):
be a crazy conspiracy theory, but it really felt like that's
what this was you know, because, you know, when you were talking
about, uh, the patients beinglike tied up and left for a long
time, I mean, bro, I I wasreading a thing where, because
some of the patients would, um,be biting, you know, because
they had a disability like that, the the nurse would like rip
their teeth out and shit oh mygod, just straight up pull their
(12:12):
teeth out oh, without like anysort of sedative or anything
like that.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Yeah, they they would
literally perform surgeries on
them without any sedatives.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
So, bro, with you
just talking about all this can,
can you imagine that energy?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
I already know what
you're going to say.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
That's like attached
to that, just that.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
This is probably one
of those locations where I'm
willing to wiggle a little bit, even if it's residual energy.
I believe that if there'sanything there, there's at least
residual energy where you canjust feel the torment that took
place in that.
I'm telling you bro.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
In that we did all
this research asylum.
I do not feel good today.
I'm not even trying to be funny, I feel fucking nauseous.
We're gonna be okay.
I know I took a zofran.
You took a.
What a zofran.
What's a zofran?
It helps with nausea.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Oh well, I hope you
feel better soon.
Um, it's also.
This is a pretty famous placetoo.
I was actually looking at thehistory, uh, uh, like, as far as
, like what's, who has beeninvolved with it since its
closing?
And you know, on televisionghost hunters have gone there.
Destination, fear, paranormallockdown, haunted hospitals, and
there's also a film called thepenhurst haunting and also david
(13:21):
and yeah, we need to get him aTV show, we do.
So.
This place has a very richhistory of just horrible
behavior and treatment topatients back in the day, and I
would like to think that we'rein a better place now when it
comes to, you know, assistingpeople who are in mental health
(13:43):
facilities, because afterreviewing this, uh, I was, I
didn't feel comfortable.
I didn't feel comfortabletalking about what we're about
to go over.
Um, so I'm gonna go over acouple of what the penhurst
incidents, what, what they were, what took place during the time
when it was open.
So, as I mentioned before aboutthe tunnels that were
(14:03):
underneath the building, so oneof the darkest stories connected
to Pennhurst is the Tunnel ofDeath.
It was literally called theTunnel of Death.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Is that how they
transport?
That's how they transported thepatients from one building to
another.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
And it was a series
of underground tunnels that were
used to move patients frombuilding to building, away from
the eyes of the public.
According to legends, patientswere often transferred through
these tunnels when they were toosick or in too much pain to
walk.
In the 1960s, a tragic firebroke out in one of the
buildings at the asylum, due tothe lack of proper emergency
(14:34):
measures in the isolation ofcertain areas.
Dozens of patients perished, trapped in the fire or left
without help.
Over the years, reports havebeen emerged that ghostly
footsteps and moans echo fromthese tunnels to this very day.
Um, that's one of the terriblethings that happened there.
And then there's this thing, there's this also, this incident
called the death of barbara, and this was kind of
(14:56):
heart-wrenching.
Um, so there was a patientnamed barbara who spent much of
her life in penhurst.
After being sent there as achild, barbara was reportedly
left abandoned in a secluded warwhere she was often ignored and
forgotten by the staff.
One night she fell ill and diedalone, without medical
attention, without medicalattention, despite her cries for
(15:16):
help.
Today, her ghost has said tohaunt the hallways of the
facility, where visitors havereported hearing sobbing.
That would be heartbreaking.
This is not making me feel good.
Another thing attached to thePennhurst Asylum is the
Forgotten Room.
An eerie account involves anold sealed-off room on the
(15:38):
grounds of Pennhurst which wasdiscovered during renovations in
the 1990s.
Imagine finding a location in abuilding after it's closed down
, not knowing it existed.
This is crazy.
The room, covered in layers ofdust and grime, had clearly been
unused for decades, but whatmade it truly disturbing was the
presence of old, unlabeledmedical charts and restraints
(15:58):
suggesting it had been used forsecretive and possibly illegal
treatments.
Paranormal investigators whovisited the room reported cold
spots, strange whispering soundsand even shattery figures in
the corners.
Maybe that should be the roomthat I stay in.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Oh you're going to
the most fucked up room, the
video that David and Laura have.
I'm really excited to hear whatthat is, because I believe they
have something whisperingsaying something to them, like I
don't even think it's like avoice box, I think it's just
like they capture it on camera.
Oh no, I, I, I believe it, Ibelieve it.
(16:31):
There it is.
He believes in ghosts.
I know he believes in ghosts, Ibelieve.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
I believe that
they're going to present
something to us that has thesethings we don't know.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
No, you're like, I
believe it.
You're a fucking believer.
I was on upon it, bro.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
I know you believe in
ghosts we don't know, you and
me don't know.
The audience doesn't know Iknow you gotta let me sit with
this.
I'm not somebody who's justgonna blatantly say, oh yeah,
this shit's real.
No, I have to like sit with it,experience it in all the
different facets that itrepresents, so then I can fully
comprehend exactly what we'redealing with here, because if
you're thinking about, we'retalking about a completely
(17:05):
invisible world filled withinvisible spirits that may or
may not be deceased people andmay be something more than that.
That's scary, that's a bigthing to cover and I think it's
going to take more than fourepisodes to convince me
otherwise.
Okay, thank you very much.
Anyways, there's also thislocation in the Pennhurst Fuck,
(17:25):
I'm.
There's also this location inthe Pennhurst called the haunted
schoolhouse, and it was aninteresting tale from Pennhurst
involving the old schoolhousebuilding on the grounds.
For many years it was used toeducate the patients, but it was
also the site for numeroustragic accidents.
One particular incidentinvolved a young patient who
fell out of a window, leading toher death.
Since then, the schoolhouse hasbeen reported to be haunted by
a child's restless spirit.
Visitors have claimed that theyhear children laughing,
(17:47):
followed by a loud crash Oof,oof as a child is reenacting
their fall there is.
I've written down a lot ofdifferent ghost stories.
Those ones seem to be the mostinteresting to me and major.
I did write down a portion thattalks about the abuse and
neglect of the patients, but Ithink we can already have a good
(18:09):
idea exactly what took placethere.
I don't want to go intonitty-gritty detail because it
is uncomfortable to discuss andI mean, bro, the teeth, the, the
teeth pulling is fucking thatbothers me, or the the fact that
they were performing surgery onpatients while they were
completely conscious and awake, like that, that just, and think
about really upset about howmany drugs they were testing and
things.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
they were performing
surgery on patients while they
were completely conscious andawake, like that, that just
really upsets me and think abouthow many drugs they were
testing and things they weretesting in there, the energy
attached to that place, when youjust look at it is sick oh the
pictures of it, you can justtell there's something,
something happened at this place.
Yeah, not good, Not good man.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Those are some of the
factual things that took place
at this building.
Um uh, before we get into thedave and alora uh section, I
actually want to talk about someof the most prominent uh
hauntings that occur atpennhurst, and it mostly
involves uh, the, the, theevents I just took place.
They're all kind of similarlyconnected to what I was just
(19:02):
discussing and I kind of want totalk about where is this one?
I wrote a note about it.
I kind of want to talk aboutthe shadow man and the tunnels.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
Because this kind of
remember that story.
I told you about the place Iwent to and I told you, at the
bottom of the floor there is atunnel.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Where you saw
something.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
And I told you I saw
a dark, shadowy figure at the
end of the hall.
There is a tunnel where you sawsomething, the one where I and
I told you I saw a dark, shadowyfigure at the end of the hall,
while I was running andscreaming, but we don't know if
it was a shadow figure.
It could have been my perceptionbased out of fear and me
thinking that there's something,but I felt like I saw a shadow
at the end of the tunnel and itwas weird to see that panhurst
has a similar hunting.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Isn't it so bizarre?
Speaker 3 (19:45):
It's almost like it's
real.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
It's almost as if
it's not real at all.
I know, but it's called theShadow man in the tunnels, and
so Pennhurst has an undergroundnetwork of tunnels, which I
already discussed, and thesetunnels are now a hotspot for
sightings of the Shadow man, atall, dark figure that stalks
the area.
Witnesses say it lurks just outof reach, sometimes darting
(20:08):
across doorways or rushingtoward investigators.
So imagine like if you just sawlike a shadow right there in
the doorway and it just right atyou right, yeah, what do you
think?
Speaker 2 (20:16):
it is like a, um,
like an abusive staff member, or
is it like a shadow figure.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
I feel like when
we're dealing with shadows,
we're dealing with a darkerentity as opposed to an
apparition.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
I feel like it's bad.
Does that make sense?
Yeah, I feel like it's probably.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
But I feel like David
and Laura could elaborate
exactly what the significance, what the difference between an
apparition and a shadow figure?
Would be, because I feel likethere obviously has to be some
rules there.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
I'm not trying to
derail this or go off subject
for a second.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
But the shadow figure
I've seen.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I've seen this before
with jim and um, it's bad, like
it's not good.
You think it means somethingbad.
I would say it's bad.
I would say, uh, it's dark,right, it's, it's dark energy,
for sure.
And I I feel like, in thisinstance, all these staff
members that were there thatwere probably probably like this
is what you gotta think, staffmembers that were there that
were probably probably like thisis what you got to think, the
people that work there, bro, yeah, I feel like there was
definitely probably some peoplethere with good intentions but I
feel like, but.
I feel like a lot of them.
(21:13):
They probably were fucked upsouls.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
I mean you can't be a
good person.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
No, you can't be a
good Well, there's also a thing
called what do they call itbeing complicit, Like you're
just in a position of where thisis my job.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
This is what I'm told
to do, but that can also be bad
too as well, but there'snothing in our body that would
want to abuse a patient.
No, I would never.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
If I was working like
that I'm sure they probably
hired the most sketchy people tobe on staff, but I'm just
saying like, I feel, like whenyou talk about the shadow figure
, I feel like it's got to be astaff member maybe?
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Yeah, like an abusive
staff member that's stuck there
.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
You know what Doesn't
that kind of make sense?
It would make sense when itcomes to, maybe, that kind of
logic.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
it absolutely makes
sense I would have a hard time
believing that an innocentpatient would manifest into a
shadow.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
That's what I mean,
right?
Yeah, so that that doesactually make a lot of sense to
me, and on top of that, too, Iactually also want to derail a
little bit, uh, before we talkabout our next ghost story.
Um, bobby, have you everexperienced sleep paralysis?
Speaker 2 (22:16):
bro, I'm not even
trying to be funny like fuck,
I'm good for a good 10 times ayear.
Really oh yeah, oh, I'm sosorry that sucks, bro.
I mean bro, I've seen when wetalk about we're on the subject
of the shadow figures here.
I've had two instances whereit's happened.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
I've had one instance
.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
That's the craziest
instance of my life ever.
Wow, I'm not.
I put this on anything that Igot.
Okay, I don't know if I shouldtell the story now, save it for
another episode.
I don't want to derail it.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
I feel like and I
want to bring up so I only
experienced sleep paralysis oncein my life.
That's it, only once.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Oh, bro, I'm like the
king of it.
I know the guy.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
When I'm out, I am
out Like I don't even dream, and
that's if I remember it.
But I had an incident, and itwas when I lived with Jim in
Tustin and I woke up and I justremember not being able to move
my body at all and I never fallasleep on my back but for some
(23:14):
reason that night I fell asleepon my back and I was completely
still and it felt like aneternity, like I was conscious,
I was awake awake but I could donothing about it.
And it just kind of reminds meof how they tell them, like they
would just feel they wouldstrap them down yeah, you can't
move at all and that's what'smaking me think of.
The story is like.
I felt like I was strapped tomy bed by these invisible
(23:35):
harnesses and then, in thecorner of the room, I saw this
very still shadowy figure.
Now there's a Netflixdocumentary I think it's called
the Nightmare or something likethat.
I have to look it up.
It's a really good documentaryand it talks about the kind of
like the brief psychosis thatyou go through when you
(23:56):
experience sleep paralysis, andwhat they described was exactly
what I went through.
I saw a dark figure in thecorner.
At no point approached me, butit terrified the hell out of me.
That was there and I waswondering why I was seeing it.
What it represents, I didn'tknow at the time, but that night
has what do they say itrepresents?
Speaker 2 (24:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
I I want, I kind of
want to reserve this for future
episodes because I think sleepapp, sleep paralysis, I think, I
think that's a whole series.
There's something veryinteresting there.
Let's also talk about thewhispering voices in the
hallways of the whole asylum.
This is the most dominant typeof haunting that takes place at
the Pennhurst Asylum.
So many visitors andinvestigators have reported
(24:36):
hearing whispers throughout theabandoned asylum, especially
near the old dormitories, andsome describe hearing their own
names being called from theshadows.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
That's crazy.
What?
Well?
No, because the video thatwe're going to bring up here in
a little bit with David andLaura, they say their name.
I don't know if they say theirname.
He sent it to me late, so Ididn't really get to watch it
yet.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
I was going to kind
of just happens in the hallways
near the old dormitories, gotcha, and, uh, majority of the
people hear the whisperingstating get out, and it's
usually followed by a softgiggle.
Now that kind of aligns withthe fact that this was a place
for, you know, children, youngpeople who had disabilities and
stuff.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Um, oh, this one's,
this one's creepy You're going
to about the woman.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
The screaming woman
of Mayflower Hall.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah, what's up with
that one?
You know it's so funny.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
So this is the one
that you're fully aware of.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
It's so funny.
I'm fully aware of this one.
I stopped reading Like this.
One scares the shit out of me.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Well, I did a short
version of it so I think you'll
be okay.
But apparently inside MayflowerHall, one of the asylum's most
infamous buildings, people oftenhear the tormented screams of a
woman late at night.
Legend says she was a patientwho died after years of
mistreatment and neglect.
Her screams are so loud thatsome visitors have actually run
from the building, believing aliving person was in danger,
(26:06):
only to find it completely empty.
So, um, I can understandwhispering, because you can
justify whispering as like did Ihear something?
Did I hear that?
Yeah, your mind starts playingtricks especially when you're in
a place.
Yeah, your mind starts playingtricks.
But when you hear like anevident scream, like that is
obviously a human personscreaming, that's what would
freak me out, you ever had thatno, no, I told you.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
My portal is closed.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
We're trying to open
my portal.
Yeah, but yeah, I just I feellike if I were to stay there in
the middle of the night bymyself, Bobby, you should do it
with me.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Fuck.
No, I don't play this game bro.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
I literally, and
you're're gonna see coming up in
an episode.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
I don't know which
episode we're gonna do, but I
told you, man, I was touched bya ghost, you were touched by a
ghost and then, oh, this isactually really interesting.
So, uh, anybody who's I'malways going to cross-reference?
uh, horror movies, because Iabsolutely love horror movies,
and this was actually a moviethat me and bobby reviewed
session nine session nine, whenwe did fright night and this is
called the moving wheelchair inthe infirmary and there's a very
(27:06):
prominent scene in session nineinvolving a wheelchair in the
middle of the hallway and it'sjust a beautiful scene.
It also influenced I'm alwaysgoing to find a way to bring in
silent hill, but it influencedsome scenes, uh, in the silent
hill video games too as well.
So an old, rusted wheelchairsitting in the abandoned
infirmary has become one ofPennhurst's most iconic haunted
objects.
Multiple groups have witnessedthe wheelchair slowly roll
(27:28):
across the floor, even when theair is still and no one is near
it.
One investigation caught it onvideo.
The chair moved from aboutthree feet without any clear
cause.
Some believe it's the spirit ofa disabled patient still bound
to the chair in death.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Why don't they remove
the fucking wheelchair?
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Because, it's a hot
spot for people who want to do
paranormal stuff and, to beperfectly honest, if I had a hot
spot of a paranormal location,I'd probably try to find a way
to put the spirits at rest, butghosts aren't real, so I guess
it doesn't matter.
Yeah, okay, so those were someof the very popular uh stories
that are tied to penhurst, andnow that we have a little bit of
like a history, historicalunderstanding of this asylum, as
(28:09):
well as some of the hauntedhappenings that took place in
this area, I think this wouldprobably be a good time to maybe
introduce uh, uh reintroducedavid and laura and their
experience involving when theyvisited I agree, yeah, I'm.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
I'm really excited to
talk to them about this one,
because all the episodes we'vetalked about so far uh-huh, um,
like, especially our black craftsalem yeah, the spirits were
light.
They weren't like dark.
This feels dark, this is dark, like every story you just ran
through is dark.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
I didn't even go to
gritty details either and I kind
of wanted to get the basis ofit.
But I mean and keep in mind too, like just simply talking about
it may be disturbing but justimagine the experience of going
through that.
That's far more terrifying thananything we could ever discuss
verbally Like what they wentthrough is far beyond any person
(29:04):
who had no control over theirown environment.
That that's far more disturbingthan anything we could ever
verbally discuss and hopefullyyou know.
If ghosts are real and they're,you know they're they're
energies that do exist.
Uh, after death, I would liketo believe that to some degree
they will find peace, but aslong as they keep that damn
(29:24):
wheelchair in the middle of thehallway, I don't think that's
going to happen.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
I don't think so bro.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Haven't these ghosts
suffered enough?
Now we're going to use them asa zoo animal.
It's like, hey, just FYI, wegot another showing at 3 pm.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
We really need you to
get this wheelchair moving.
That's actually fucking funny.
All right, let's call them.
We got David and Laura theghost experts.
I like that.
I think that's going to stick.
The ghost exports, the exports.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
You cannot say words
today.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
I'm sick, you're sick
, you're very sick.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Here we go.
Yep, let's try it.
I always enjoy talking to them,do you?
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Is it ringing?
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Is it ringing?
Speaker 2 (30:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Hey, hold on, hold on
, we don't have this.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
All this is all
fucked up again.
Here we go.
Oh, bobby, we're doing it raw.
Hold on.
Can you guys hear me?
No, this ain't it.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Did we do a test run
before?
Speaker 2 (30:22):
We did not do a test
run before we did not do a test
run before.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
We did not do a test
run before.
Hey, you're getting to see theseams ripping open, but it's
okay, I mean it's Bluetooth.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
It's Bluetooth yes,
and it's connected.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
And it's connected.
It should be connected.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
And it says we're
connected and we're not
connected.
Let me try to call you guysback One second.
We're going to retry this Callyou right back.
There we go.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
In the meantime, I
mean, you go there, I feel like
you know what would be funny.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
If we did one over
and stay here, we do it on the
this would probably be my firstHoly shit Whoa.
I mean, that worked.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
This episode sucks.
It doesn't suck, no, it doesn'tsuck.
You always say it sucks.
This episode is trash this showsucks.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
It's not ringing.
Something's not right.
This ain't right.
It's not working.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
We're going to figure
it out.
Hold on, we're going to figureit out.
I'm trying to think Hello, let's talk about my sleep
paralysis real quick, while youfigure this out.
Speakerphone.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Hello I don't know
why it's not working.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
It's, it's, it's, we
are uh, no, we got to get this
figured out guys hold on onesecond.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Uh, david laura, I'm
gonna try to call you guys back.
One second, one second, allright.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
One second quick
question if we were to put a
pause on the recording, could wejust edit it back?
Speaker 2 (31:36):
in.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
We're not gonna edit
shit, we're not gonna okay,
we're just gonna make you waityou gotta entertain them right
now.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Go entertain them.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
A big reason why I
don't think ghosts are real.
When I say ghosts aren't real,I don't actually believe.
How am I supposed to representmyself if you don't let me speak
?
I'm going to try to call you asa test, let's see.
Hello, ghosts aren't real.
Let's see.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
This could be the
ghost shit, so don't answer that
.
It's not ringing.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Now it's working,
that's working, so give them a
try again.
Hold on, do a facetime audio, use facetime.
Last time they said yes, we diduse facetime audio.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
That's what I just
called.
There we go, there we go,yippee it's almost like it's
almost like we know what we'redoing.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Hello, welcome back
Hello.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Yes, hello.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
David and Laura are
joining us.
Episode four we are not talkingabout Pinehurst Country Club.
We are talking about PennhurstAsylum.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
He called it
Pinehurst right at the beginning
of the episode.
Oh no, it's low-key funny.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Hey, I mean listen
guys.
A haunted golf club.
Hey, I mean listen, a hauntedgolf club.
Speaker 4 (32:51):
Hey, listen, that
would actually be awesome.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
You can still hear
him swinging in the distance.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
This show sucks.
David and Laura, thanks forjoining us.
We're here, episode four,pennhurst Asylum.
To catch you up to speed on theepisode so far, you know we
were doing a lot of research onthis and I'm very excited to
talk to you guys about thisbecause you guys both have
explored this.
Now here's the thing we talkedBlack Craft Salem with you guys.
(33:21):
I think that was the lastepisode we had you on and I was
there.
I mean, we explored it.
I left there not feeling badright, I didn't feel sick.
There was a video attached toit.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Go watch episode two
I was going to say to anybody
who wants to see the video go toour YouTube, go watch episode
two I left there, david andAllura.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
I mean David, like we
said, I was texting you until 5
am, right, I left there, feeling good, I left my store in
Salem feeling good.
I slept great.
I woke up, I was inspired.
Now I haven't even been to thisplace.
Neither of us have.
Neither of us have been there.
I just did all this researchlast night.
I watched a lot ofdocumentaries on it, I read a
(34:00):
lot, I did a lot of research.
I'm not trying to be funny.
I was saying early in theepisode I feel fucking sick
today.
I feel.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
Oh yeah, it's a sad.
That place has a lot of sadhistory.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Oh, it's horrible.
Yeah, we, we, we just walkedeverybody through the history.
We told some good ghost stories.
Right, and David, you sent mesome videos.
Now you guys have explored it,so let's, let's talk about it
here.
Um what?
When did you guys explore it?
I guess?
Speaker 3 (34:33):
Um, I've explored it
twice.
Um last time I was there wasprobably about a year and a half
ago, um time before that wasabout two and a half years prior
.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Okay, yeah, uh me.
I've been there three times andwent to one like once, one time
each year, you know.
So it was like, yeah, it wasand every time was insane.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
It's an addicting
place to go to.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Did you ever feel
drained after you leave the
place?
I can only imagine 100%.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
I did.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
Yeah, I mean I'm
drained all the time after every
investigation.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
Yeah, Paranormal
hangovers are real.
Yeah, paranormal hangovers suck.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
That's great, merch,
that's great merch.
Paranormal hangovers up.
That's a great merch, that'sgreat merch.
Paranormal hangover.
There we go.
There's the next t-shirt design.
I do love that.
Um, so there you go.
Yeah, so you guys sent david, you sent me a few videos which
we will show at the end of thisepisode, like we did on the
salem episode.
Um, I don't know, let's talk.
I mean, what, what's up with it, what, what did you guys
capture?
Speaker 4 (35:26):
well, do you?
Laura has two up, you know twoof them, so so two or three or
whatever, she can go first onthat.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Yeah, so instantly,
right when we walked in, there
was probably five of us.
We each have a walkie-talkie.
Instantly as soon as we walk in, my walkie is going off like
somebody's trying to contact me,but we're all in the room
together.
We're like this is super weird, fast forward.
Maybe a half an hour later mywalkie had a man's voice come
(35:53):
through it and said hey, nate, which one of the the guys that
was with us?
Speaker 1 (35:55):
his name was nate,
nate.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
So we were like, okay
, that's weird, wow okay, yeah,
yeah so that that that wasstarting it off.
That was.
It was like okay, so then westarted going down to.
Uh, we first went down rockwelltunnels, which is a tunnel
system that goes underneathPennhurst.
It pretty much connected allthe buildings at one point, but
they've closed a lot of them off, so there's only really one
(36:17):
tunnel you can investigate Offthe charts.
I can't even explain how muchactivity happens down there.
We started going in and ofcourse we had to clear all the
bats out first, so it wasprobably about 15, 20 of us like
in the dark ducking.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Oh, come on, there
was actually.
They don't clear, they don'tclear it out for the, the guests
.
You gotta, you gotta, pay extrafor the bats.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Yeah, no, no I, I had
girl, I had girls on my team
that were literally armycrawling on the floor any sleep.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
Wow, now there was a
Wow, now there was a fire.
Now there was a fire in thetunnel, correct?
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Ah, was there a fire.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
So we yeah, I did
some research and apparently
there was a fire that took place.
That left patients trapped anddead in the tunnels.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
So that might be.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
That might be some of
the tunnels that you were
talking about were closed off.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
That's probably what
they were talking about.
Which is crazy that you say that, because at one point we were
in the tunnels, the girls endedup saying we're done, we're out.
Peace Left me and Nate toinvestigate the tunnels.
We were starting to go throughand Nate all of a sudden was
like something just grabbed myleg.
So we, of course, have ourequipment like turn around, and
(37:37):
all of a sudden, when we turnedaround, this big cloud of mist
it seemed like like water vaporswas the only way I could
explain it just came rightthrough us and every piece of
equipment we had in our handsstarted going off.
Wow, like just going off.
So we were like, okay, that'sdefinitely something.
So then we were, you know, goingdown the tunnels a little bit
more and there's a buildingcalled quaker, okay, which there
there is a spirit in thetunnels that they've kind of
gone by name.
I forget what his name was, um,but he was not a good guy.
(37:58):
He was supposedly.
He was like an orderly that didbad things to some of the
patients in the tunnels um andhe likes to hang yeah, and he
likes to hang out um.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Yep, what did he by
chance take the form of a shadow
?
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Yes, absolutely, yep.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
What'd I say?
I said that before they came onhere, so before we gave you a
call.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
This is actually, I
think.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
That's interesting.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
That's interesting
I'm actually realizing this is
probably a great layout forfuture episodes.
So what we did is we did a lotof research about things that
took place there, as well aswhat is documented.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Hauntings there, and
what you're stating is literally
aligning well, with everythingthat we already discussed, it's
kind of.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
It's kind of cool to
hear this validation.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
It's also scary as
hell too.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm
not interesting starting to
believe, settle down guys settledown yeah, and so the one of
the videos that I sent you.
I was using what they call alive evp, which is like a
headphone system connected to adigital recorder okay so that
I'm actually hearing the evpslive.
We get right to the um quakerbuilding entrance from the
(39:06):
tunnel and right before that Isaid if there's anybody in the
tunnels, can you please sayhello?
Can you tell?
Let me know.
You're here and clear as day.
We got some grab garbly graspyman say hey whoa and that was
caught on the the recorder andour external cameras.
It was so clear and it scaredthe living daylights out of me
(39:27):
because it was so loud now, that's the video, david, you
sent me, correct?
Speaker 2 (39:32):
yeah, yeah so we will
show that at the end of this
clip.
Make sure you stick around uhso yeah so, laura, so you're.
I mean it's funny you say thatabout the shadow figure, because
I was just explaining to jake asecond ago.
I was like I bet you it wassomeone that worked there and
they were just like a terriblefucking person yeah, I could
just feel it.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
I could just fucking
feel it.
We didn't want to believe itwas one of the innocent patients
that they experimented onbecause I would hate to believe
that they would also become thismalevolent spirit out after
they would eventually pass away.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
He was a nasty man.
Speaker 4 (40:09):
Think about it.
If you're an asshole duringlife, you're going to probably
be an asshole during death.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
It's like Jake.
Yeah, Ain't no asshole.
When Jake dies, thatmotherfucker coming back is an
asshole.
Hey David, have you ever seen?
Fuck you.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Have you ever seen
the we were just talking about?
Have you ever seen the movieHouse on Haunted Hill from 1999?
Speaker 3 (40:32):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Okay, so that first
like 10 minutes of that movie,
is pretty much how I visualizePennhurst Asylum.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
Just horrible
behavior by the staff.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
All I can think of.
I don't know why I had to bringit up again.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
But that's the way I
visualize it.
They also used penhurst instranger things yeah that was
the location of the mentalinstitution in stranger things I
did not I didn't see it, Ididn't.
I'm not a big stranger thingskind of guy oh yeah, it's a good
show if you go and watch it,that's where they go and and see
some patients damn, oh yeahyeah no, I'm sorry, that was
(41:08):
waverly hills was onsupernatural yeah, yeah, you're
thinking
Speaker 2 (41:11):
different what um
david?
What was your experience inthere?
Speaker 4 (41:13):
same kind of shit oh
shit man, it was all right, I've
got one story all right, dude,I've got one story I could not
debunk.
It was like 10 of us out there.
I'll do that one last, okay, because it was the craziest shit
I've ever heard no pun intendedintended.
Yeah, close to it, yeah, no punintended, but anyway, well, what
(41:36):
we were doing, me and my buddyChris, we were there with a
group of investigators andbasically the place is massive,
so everybody just split up.
And I decided I was going to goup and do a tiki-taki you know,
live feed by myself inMayflower, and so I went up to
the third floor and I'm up thereby myself.
(41:57):
I just walked through like oneof the main hallways and I'm
standing there.
It's pitch black.
Well, except for a little redlight I had.
And I'm looking to the left.
I have a hallway, to right, Ihave a hallway and I'm sitting
here asking questions, this andthat.
And next thing, you know, man, Ijust I start here like clinking
, like, uh, maybe not reallylike a chain, but a piece of
(42:20):
sheet metal, okay, that thatwould hit up against the wall,
and I'm like, could you do thatagain?
Did as soon as I said it, didit again, and I did this for
like maybe 10 minutes, and while, like, all these other people
are sitting here watching itlive too, so they're witnesses
to it, and I was like, all right, I'm going to walk down there
and see exactly what it was.
Maybe the wind's blowing andit's got something on the
(42:41):
outside hitting or a draft onthe inside.
So I walked down there and Istand in this room for 10
minutes where the noise wascoming from, and it never
happened again, did not happenagain.
I'm like okay.
I'm like all right.
So I go back to my original spotup the hallway and I start
asking questions again.
As soon as I asked it to do itagain, it did it again.
(43:03):
It was like dude, whenever Iwent down there, it stopped.
Whenever I was up there, whenever I was away from it, it
started doing it and I askedcould you do it, could you make
that noise three times?
And it'd do it three times.
To the left of me.
I'm sitting here, you know sortof getting like you know spidey
senses, you know it's likesomebody's watching me type
thing.
And I just happened to turn myphone to the left of me and I
(43:25):
look over and there was a fullshadow person at the end of the
left hallway and it darts awaydown the other hallway.
I'm like holy shit.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Was that Mayflower?
Speaker 4 (43:34):
Yes, mayflower on
third floor.
That's exactly.
We talked about Mayflower too,on the third floor upstairs.
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:39):
That was where I saw
my first apparition.
Speaker 4 (43:42):
Really.
Oh, that's cool.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
At the end of the
hallway, it just went straight
across.
Speaker 4 (43:46):
Yeah, like I was like
wait a minute oh, that's cool,
that's so weird that area rightthere is insane now I can't
believe we didn't talk aboutthat before well, we never
really thought about it.
Speaker 3 (43:55):
Well here we are um
yeah yeah, well, all right.
Speaker 4 (44:00):
So later on I decided
to go down to the mayflower.
The tunnel down to mayflowerokay this is the video that I
sent you.
I'm sitting here, I walked downthere and my buddy, chris, is
with me and you can see at theend of this hallway, right, you
can.
You can see where it's a deadend and everything right.
So we're sitting here askingquestions and keep in mind, on
(44:23):
this live feed, on this TikTokfeed, it's like 18,000 people
watching this.
Speaker 1 (44:27):
So we have plenty of
witnesses.
Speaker 4 (44:34):
We got plenty of
witnesses about what's going on,
what's about to happen.
So we're sitting here, we'reasking questions, and the reason
we started asking questions?
Because they kept on seeing ashadow figure at the end of the
hallway and with my eyes Icouldn't see it and Chris
couldn't, but they kept onsaying they saw it on the feed.
So Chris was like we heard likea load noise down there and
chris was like hello.
And we looked at each other.
(44:54):
We thought we heard something.
You know well, you know, end up.
It didn't pick up on the audio.
Um, and then he says helloagain.
Now, keep in mind, it's atunnel, it's going to echo,
right, right.
Whenever he says hello for thesecond time, you count it down
four seconds the echo is gone.
Yeah, that goes, completelygone.
It's not that long of a hallway.
Whenever he says hello for thesecond time, you count it down
four seconds the echo's gone.
(45:15):
The echo's completely gone.
It's not that long of a hallway.
Four seconds after he sayshello, you hear a man voice come
back, hello, and we're like itfreaked us out.
You can see it's junk.
We're like, oh my God, what thefuck was that?
It was a disembodied voice.
Nobody at the end of thehallway.
We're videoing it.
We got the proof that nobody'sdown there, so it was a crazy
(45:36):
experience.
The Mayflower has never let medown.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
Mayflower has a lot
of Well.
The Mayflower one, that's wherethey always hear the woman
screaming right?
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Did you experience
any sort of woman screaming
while you're in the Mayflower?
Speaker 3 (45:50):
um, I, we did.
I have to go back and watch theepisode.
Okay, we did.
When we were upstairs in themayflower we did hear something.
It I don't know if it was awoman screaming, but I'm trying
to think back.
There was a loud noise at theend of the hall, gotcha, and
then all of a sudden we all kindof turned and looked and then
we heard some knocking downthere and that's when I saw the
(46:11):
apparition kind of dart past oh,I'll tell you what I feel sick
yeah, I'll tell you
Speaker 1 (46:18):
what?
Um, oh, go ahead.
Do they have overnight staysthere?
Speaker 4 (46:24):
um you know well, you
couldn't even last overnight,
he couldn't even, you can't Ithink it's till like 4 am.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
You can stay there.
Yeah, you can't sleep there, but you can't stay there.
Speaker 4 (46:31):
You know if you rent
it out for the certain amount of
time.
Yeah, well, I'm gonna throw aflag.
I think it's till like 4 am.
You can stay there.
Yeah, you can't sleep there, but you can stay there long, you
know, if you rent it out forthe certain amount of time.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
Yeah Well, I'm going
to throw a flag in the ground
right now and say officially, with Jake's consent.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
This is.
This is going to be the firstepisode.
I want to make it apay-per-view.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
UFC.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
Fuck.
Speaker 3 (46:48):
WWE.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
This is a
pay-per-view.
Jake goes in.
You should call the episodeJake's a hater.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
It's going to be.
Jake goes in with a map, davidand Laura, we're not there with
them.
We send them in with ghosthunting gear.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
You know that show
MTV Fear.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
We're going to do it
like that, we're going to strap
a GoPro to my head and then youjust have to follow me.
No, nobody's with you.
Nobody's with me, fuck.
No, there's no camera guy.
You're on your own buddy.
I'll do it.
You're on your own buddy?
Well, it's going to be apay-per-view.
Hey, here's the deal.
Speaker 1 (47:19):
This is what you want
, right?
You want me to be a believer.
This is the best way to goabout it.
I can't believe you.
There's like a section on myhead that's just gray hair and
my beard is turned, gray youjust see me slowly looking
(47:41):
weathered as the podcastcontinues 100% bro.
Speaker 4 (47:47):
He's an age like 20
years.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
I was trying to
maintain my youth and I went out
the window as soon as westarted this podcast.
Crazy.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
So we will.
We will be showing all thesevideos at the end of this
episode, so make sure you stickaround.
If you're listening on Appleand Spotify, much love, please
go give it that five-star review.
Heck, yeah, we got David andLaura.
This is a.
We love having you guys on theshow.
Thanks for always being heretoo.
We love being on it.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
Yes, we love chatting
with y'all.
Speaker 4 (48:11):
It's good, yeah, go
ahead.
I got one story I want to telly'all before I forget, please
that Pennhurst.
Speaker 2 (48:18):
Oh fuck.
Speaker 4 (48:18):
All right, we're
outside at the picnic tables.
It's in between a lot of thebuildings, okay.
So we're out there, it's like 3o'clock in the morning and
we're sitting there it's like 10of us and they don't have
inside, you know, toilets andstuff.
So they got you know outsidetoilets and we're sitting here
and we're just talking.
Next thing, you know, we hearlike somebody's taking a leak
(48:42):
inside this porta potty.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
Spirit was peeing.
Speaker 4 (48:46):
Well, we're sitting
here and we're hearing it.
It sounds like a man justtaking a full-blown leak and it
was loud, dude, and it's aporta-a-potty.
We're sitting here, we justlook at each other.
It was like damn, they had togo bad didn't they I?
Was looking at how many peoplewere there.
And we're looking around andwe're like noticing that
everybody is sitting with us.
You know, that's accounted for.
We're like who the fuck is inthere?
(49:08):
So?
So we're sitting here, we'rewaiting, we're waiting.
Nobody comes out.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
It's been like 15
minutes, awesome powers.
Speaker 4 (49:13):
No it lasted for five
minutes.
I swear it lasted for fiveminutes and it just stopped.
And this port-a-potty is in thewide open.
There's nothing, no kind ofwater or anything that could
fall on it.
It's nothing, nothing around.
So one of my friends, she waslike I'm going to go check.
I was like yeah, go check Ifsomebody's in there, make sure
(49:34):
they're okay.
She knocks on the door, nobodysays anything.
She was like hello, nobody saysanything.
She sort of opens it real quick.
She opens it up and looks andslams the door and she just
turned white and her eyes gotbig, her mouth dropped open.
She was like there's nobodyfucking in there.
(49:54):
I was like what?
We all go walk over there?
There is nobody in there, it'sjust a regular, so there is no
way any kind of water oranything.
It was a.
It was like 80 degrees out.
Wow, we, we couldn't figure itout.
What so?
What would you?
What?
Speaker 2 (50:07):
would you think it is
like.
What would you guys say?
That is I, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (50:12):
Residual, yeah,
residual.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
What I'm learning
right now is, apparently
apparitions can pee, which meansthey are eating and drinking in
the afterlife, or whatever.
Speaker 2 (50:27):
That's kind of funny
to think about.
Imagine a ghost just chilling, fucking drinking a Bud Light
smoking a cigarette listening toclassic rock music eating hot
wings.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
All the regular
bodily functions just in this
like weird purgatory.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
We were just stepping
in ghost fucking shit.
We don't even know it thiswhole time.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
All those times we
thought we stepped on our dog's
dog shit.
But there's no poo there.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
Oh my God Do ghosts
have sex?
Oh my God Do ghosts have sex.
Speaker 1 (50:55):
Oh, that's enough
Okay.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Oh my God, that's a
whole other.
Do ghosts have sex?
I bet you that's never.
It happened in the others.
Speaker 4 (51:02):
Maybe the others with
the cool.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
Kidman, they did it
Well.
Speaker 4 (51:06):
I mean you wouldn't
see them coming.
I mean, yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 (51:13):
This show is just
Actually this show is really
good.
18 plus this show is actuallyreally good.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
You guys are funny
man.
Speaker 1 (51:19):
Well.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
David and.
Laura, thank you for being heretoday.
Speaker 3 (51:21):
I mean so.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
I'd like to end
everything with you guys.
I mean I don't even need to askthis question, but I got to
because Jake wrote it down forsegment.
Is this place haunted or is itnot?
Speaker 3 (51:32):
Is it haunted?
Speaker 2 (51:33):
or not, oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (51:35):
Absolutely 100%.
Yep, you're going to getevidence.
We'll see when I'm there.
Speaker 3 (51:43):
It's the one place
that I would say I could say
100%.
Speaker 1 (51:48):
I guess I'm doing it
till 4 am.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
We're going to send
Jake there.
David and Laura, thanks forbeing here.
What if you?
Speaker 1 (51:54):
just flew me out.
You didn't even come with me.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
I.
I guess I'm doing it till 4 am,so we're going to send Jake
there.
David and Laura, thanks forbeing here.
What if you just flew me out?
You didn't even come with me.
I'm not going with you.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
What the fuck do you
mean?
No, bro, you don't understand.
No, you don't.
Why would you not want to atleast be at a if somebody was
camping outside, in case thathappens?
Speaker 2 (52:15):
Shit I never really
thought about that you can send
me inside.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
I'm just really like
a support system.
Speaker 2 (52:20):
No, no, no, because
like I said earlier in the show,
I will give Jake a lot ofcredit.
This motherfucker is not scaredof shit.
I will give him credit.
I will give him credit.
Growing up we always would goghost hunting.
We would always try to go findshit, Him and I would always go
do it.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
I ran towards it, he
did.
Speaker 2 (52:37):
That's me.
I will give Jake that credit.
I've watched this motherfuckerwalk 10 miles through woods at 2
in the morning all by himself.
He does not care, but the thingis, I don't want you even
having that fallback like we'reoutside, like so if I get a
concussion and pass out and thenI'm just nowhere to be found,
(53:01):
we'll have like a live feed toyour head so we can watch.
Yeah we'll be watching a livefeed.
If something happens, we'llcall it.
We'll call the ambulance,you're fine.
What if it's a time issue?
Speaker 1 (53:09):
what if I'm bleeping
out.
Maybe it would be nice.
Well, I think that's your timeto go.
You can get up from your littlecot in the pen and you can rush
and get me no.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
I've been a big
believer in the universe.
Lately You'll be stuck atPennhurst.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
Yeah, I think maybe
this is how you're supposed to
go out Lovely, and you can'tquestion the universe If there's
no other place that would bemore perfect for my spirit to be
trapped would be the tip andhearse.
Speaker 1 (53:32):
I would love that.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
I agree, you'd have
lots of friends.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
Oh gosh.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
Toxic ones.
Speaker 2 (53:41):
No different than
real life.
