There is a problem, and it starts with men, because men are a problem. Our culture is full of men who do not act like men. This was brought to my attention after attending an even recently. The lack of Godly men in our culture is not only sad, it’s sickening.

We need men to be men. We need Christian men to be men, to act like men, and take care of their God given duties as men, and as Christians.

On this episode I reflect on our cu...

Forgiveness is something we all want when we fail. Whenever we sin against others we want them to forgive us, but forgiveness is not always something we want to give. Sometimes we put stipulations on granting someone forgiveness whether it’s waiting to see if the forgiveness is genuine or if they were really serious by seeking forgiveness.

The problem with this is that Jesus didn’t tell us to put stipulations on forgiveness, He sim...

On this episode of the Doctrine Matters Podcast I am going to talk briefly about some things going on in the world today, and then I want to look at a passage of Scripture and the implications it has on us today.

The ultimate goal for this episode is to see all of the things in our world that is sin, and how easy it is to do these things, but how tough it seems to be to follow Christ. Regardless of how tough it is, it’s always bett...

Take a listen to this throwback  from three years ago! This was long before there was a Doctrine Matters Podcast or a Youtube channel.

The Gospel is important. Doctrine is important. Theology is important. We can’t compromise on any of these three things. If we do, we run the risk of serious consequences.

As believers it is important for us to know what to believe. We need to know what we believe, and why we believe it.

On todays episode, we talk about who God is and what He is like. This is just a small list of His attributes, but hopefully this will help you begin to understand the Doctrine of God.

Listen for a free book giveaway as well!

How should we view the deaths of celebrities? Every death is loss, and all loss is tragic. We mourn with those who mourn and weep with those who weep.

What about celebrities that die, that do not profess Christ or care anything at all about God and His Word? How do we view their death then? Do we make social media shrines? Do we say R.I.P? Or do we view their death through the lens of Scripture.

On this episode, I attempt to view...

Are Churches like Cowboy Churches and Biker Churches Biblical?

If you were to ask 50 people this very question, you will likely get at least 40 different replies. Does the Bible give us any indication that these types of Churches are ok?

On this episode I dive into the answer to the question through a Biblical lens from my point of view. Let me know your thoughts!

The Postmodern world we live in is going to kill Churches. Many Churches should have the word ICHABOD on the door post because The glory of God has departed. In this episode I am going to talk about a Church that has embraced Post Truth, Postmodern thought and ran with it. This Church is no longer a Church. It's lampstand has been removed. That is, if it has ever had a lampstand to begin with. The LGBTQIA+ agenda is dan...

The downward spiral of the Southern Baptist Convention has reached a new rung on the ladder. It's latest debacle includes James Merritt, a Pastor from Georgia, who has held several positions on SBC committees and on staff at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, has affirmed his gay son in the ministry. By now you have likely heard the Tweet that is the talk of evangelicalism. Yes, Steven Furtick said something else to add to his list of heresies which is an ever growing list of why people should flee from Steven Furtick and his ministry at Elevation Church. Some may think I'm harsh, others may think I should be more harsh, but we are going to look at a short, Biblical response to the tweet heard round the world. https://ww...

There are many people that cling to Steven Furtick, including those that desire to imitate him in the pulpit. Sadly, pastors like Steven Furtick and others are producing more false teachers which will ultimately lead to more false converts. We need a new reformation. A reformation of pastors. A reformation of Churches. A reformation of the professing believer. We need Jesus. We need His Word, and we need to leave the fleeting mes...

Steven Furtick is loved by many people. Why not? After all, he is a good communicator, he's hip, wears relevant clothing, and has a large Church with a large following. However, this isn't always a good thing. On this episode of the Doctrine Matters Podcast we will listen together to several things that Steven Furtick has said from the "pulpit," and see why what he has said in the name of God does not line up with...

I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here, but I think it is extremely important to warn everyone we know about the dangers of false teachers out there today. From Kenneth Copeland, to Creflo Dollar and everyone in between, people need to know that these men (and women) are false teachers and we must sound the alarm to keep the people we love far from them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwUD2YCP58s&t=635s   #je...
