The Creator of the universe, the King of kings, the Almighty God has chosen you and me to be His children, not servants, not distant followers, but His sons and daughters. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are adopted into God's family, given a new identity, and blessed with privileges that no earthly title could ever offer, the blessings and advantages of being a child of God. We have a personal relationship with God. As His children, we don't worship a distant, unreachable God. He is our Father, and we can approach Him any time. Romans 8.15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again. Rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, Abba, Father.
