[This time on Down the Rabbit Hole, we are joined by a special guest, Dom aka EvilMedia!]

In order to grow on Twitch or YouTube, you need people to consume your content. You can get eyes on your content through engaging new viewers on social media. There are however, right and wrong ways to do this.

Engaging with people on social media is important for several reasons. It helps you build a community of followers who are interested in what you have to offer, such as your products, services, or content. When you engage with people, you foster meaningful relationships and create a sense of belonging and connectedness. This can lead to increased brand loyalty and advocacy.

Additionally, engaging with your audience on social media can also help you understand their needs, preferences, and opinions. This information can then be used to inform and improve your marketing strategies.

Not all engagement on social media is good. While engagement in the form of likes, comments, and shares can be positive and beneficial for your brand, negative engagement such as trolling, hate speech, and spam can have the opposite effect.

Negative engagement can damage your brand reputation and negatively impact your audience's perception of your brand. It can also lead to decreased engagement and a decline in overall social media presence. Therefore, it is important to monitor your social media accounts and address any negative engagement in a professional and appropriate manner.
