When you start to develop a public brand, you need to take care of it. You need to understand that you can do a lot of good, or a lot of bad. Here are some general guidelines for using your social media presence effectively:

Right ways:

  1. Share high-quality and engaging content: Share content that is interesting, valuable, and relevant to your audience. Use high-quality images, videos, and graphics to make your content visually appealing.
  2. Engage with your followers: Respond to comments and messages, ask questions, and participate in discussions with your followers. This helps build a sense of community and encourages engagement with your brand.
  3. Be authentic: Be yourself and share content that reflects your personality and values. Authenticity can help build trust with your followers.
  4. Use social media to promote positive change: Use your social media platform to promote social causes and positive change. This can help build your brand as a socially responsible entity.
  5. Use social media to connect with others: Use social media to connect with others in your industry, collaborate with other content creators, and build relationships with potential partners.

Wrong ways:

  1. Misuse personal information: Do not misuse personal information or data of your followers, such as sharing or selling their contact details.
  2. Spread hate or negativity: Avoid spreading hate, negativity, or harmful content on your social media platform. This can damage your brand and reputation.
  3. Engage in online harassment: Do not engage in online harassment or cyberbullying. This is not only harmful but also illegal.
  4. Be dishonest: Do not post false information or engage in unethical practices such as buying followers or using bots to increase engagement.
  5. Use social media as a platform for self-promotion only: Avoid using social media as a platform for self-promotion only. This can come off as insincere and may alienate your followers.
