This is a highly contested race. The incumbent Sheriff is under scrutiny for his stance against body cameras for officers. There have been issues with sexual misconduct within the department that went unpunished and unresolved, resulting in the termination of the officer who reported the activities.
Joe lays out his plan to increase the bench strength of the sheriff's department while instituting training reform and accountability. We even get to hear his views on the interaction between the sheriff's department and the community.
