In life, it’s often the smallest compromises that seem harmless at first, but over time, they can accumulate and lead to much bigger failures. Our guest, Matt Melvin, knows this better than anyone.
Matt Melvin is an author and activist from Massachusetts who was incarcerated in the federal prison system in 2017 for petty crimes. He currently resides in Shelburne, Vermont. Bullied Behind Bars is Matt's first book.
His story is one of gradual slips, where the little choices that didn’t seem to matter. In a moment of deep reflection and humility, Matt found strength in his faith, a divine call to change. He realized that even after years of small compromises, it was never too late to make a fresh start.
With God’s guidance, Matt began to rebuild his life from the inside out. Matt’s journey is a testament to the power of transformation, the importance of accountability, and the unyielding love of God who never gives up on us.
He hopes that by sharing his story, others will be encouraged to take responsibility for their own choices, trust in God’s plan, and never underestimate the power of small, consistent steps toward a better life.
