Did you know that we spend about90% of our time indoors, and if

(01:03):
you work from home, like I do,that number is probably even
higher?
But here's the thing Indoor aircan be up to 100 times more
polluted than outdoor air.
That's why I love my Air Doctor.
As I'd said before, our home isover 100 years old and, with
kids, cats and all the dust thatcomes with an older house,
having an air purifier thatactually works has been amazing.

(01:25):
Air Doctor's award-winningtechnology removes 99.99% of
dangerous contaminants.
This is allergens, mold spores, smoke gases and even viruses.
Plus, it captures particles 100times smaller than a standard
HEPA filter.
So you're not just gettingclean air, you're getting truly

(01:46):
pure air.
I can actually see how well itworks.
Every time I clean the litterbox, blow out a candle or even
cook something a little smoky,my Air Doctor automatically
kicks into high gear until theair is clean again.
It's made me so much more awareof what we've been breathing in
for years.
No wonder Newsweek named AirDoctor the best air purifier and

(02:08):
98% of customers say their homeair feels cleaner, safer and
healthier.

This is a fairy tale I've beenholding on to for a long, long

(02:56):
time, partly because I like toalign popular stories with movie
releases and, unfortunately, disney kept pushing back the
release date of the live-actionmovie, and partly because I
forgot all about it until theyannounced a new release date for

(03:23):
that movie, which is now outtoday.
So snuggle up your blankets andhave sweet dreams.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
It was in the middle of winter, when the broad flakes
of snow were falling around, that a certain queen sat working
at the window, the frame ofwhich was made of fine black
ebony, and as she was lookingout upon the snow she pricked
her finger and three drops ofblood fell upon it.

(04:33):
Then she gazed thoughtfullyupon the red drops which
sprinkled the white snow andsaid white snow.
And said Would that my littledaughter may be as white as that
snow, as red as the blood andas black as the ebony window

(04:54):
frame.
And so the little girl grew up.
Her skin was white as snow, hercheeks as rosy as blood and her
hair as black as ebony, and shewas called Snow White.

(05:19):
But this queen died and the kingsoon married another wife who
was very beautiful but so proudthat she could not bear to think
that anyone could suppress her.
She had a magical looking glassto which she used to go and

(05:40):
gaze upon herself in it and sayand gaze upon herself in it and
say Tell me, glass, tell me true, of all the ladies in the land,
who is fairest?
Tell me who.
And the glass answered Thouqueen, art fairest in the land.

(06:06):
A snow white grew more and morebeautiful, and when she was
seven years old she was asbright as the day and fairer
than the Queen herself.
Then the glass one day answeredthe Queen when she went to

(06:29):
consult it.
As usual, thou queen, maystfair and beauteous be, but Snow
White is lovelier far than thee.
When she heard this, she turnedpale with rage and envy and,

(06:50):
calling to one of her servants, said Take Snow White away into
the wide wood that I may neversee her more.
Then the servant led her away, but his heart melted when she
begged him to spare her life, and he said I will not hurt thee
, thou pretty child.

(07:10):
So he left her by herself, andthough he thought it most likely
that the wild beasts would tearher to pieces, he felt as if a
great weight were taken off hisheart when he had made up his
mind not to kill her but toleave her to her fate.

(07:32):
Then poor Snow White wanderedalong through the wood in great
fear, and the wild beasts roaredabout her, but none did her any
harm.

(07:53):
In the evening she came to alittle cottage and went in there
to rest herself, for her wearyfeet could carry her no further.
For her weary feet could carryher no further.
Everything was spruce and neatin the cottage.
On the table was spread a whitecloth and there were seven

(08:16):
little plates with seven littleloaves and seven little glasses
with wine in them, and knivesand forks laid in order, and by
the wall stood seven little beds.
Then, as she was very hungry, she picked a little piece of

(08:37):
each loaf and drank a verylittle wine out of each glass,
and after that she thought shewould lie down and rest.
So she tried all the littlebeds, and one was too long and
another too short, till at lastthe seventh suited her, and

(09:05):
there she laid herself down andwent to sleep.
Presently in came the masters ofthe cottage, who were seven
little dwarfs that lived amongthe mountains and dug and
searched about for gold.

(09:26):
They lighted up their sevenlamps and saw directly that all
was not right.
The first said who has beensitting on my stool, the second
who has been eating off my plate, the second who has been eating
off my plate, the third who hasbeen picking at my bread, the

(09:53):
fourth who has been meddlingwith my spoon, the fifth who has
been handling my fork, thesixth who has been cutting with
my knife and the seventh who hasbeen drinking my wine.

(10:15):
Then the first looked round andsaid who has been lying on my
bed?
And the rest came running tohim and everyone cried out that
somebody had been upon his bed.
But the seventh saw Snow Whiteand called upon his brethren to

(10:38):
come and see her.
And they cried out with wonderand astonishment and brought
their lamps to look at her andsaid Good heavens, what a lovely
child she is.
And they were delighted to seeher and took care not to waken

(11:01):
her.
And the seventh dwarf slept anhour with each of the other
dwarves in turn till the nightwas gone.
In the morning Snow White toldthem all her story and they

(11:22):
pitied her and said if she wouldkeep all things in order and
cook and wash and knit and spinfor them, she might stay where
she was and they would take goodcare of her.
Then they went out all day longto their work, seeking for gold

(11:43):
and silver in the mountains, and Snow White remained at home
and they warned her and said thequeen will soon find out where
you are, so take care and let noone in.
But the queen, now that shethought Snow White was dead,

(12:10):
believed that she was certainlythe handsomest lady in the land.
And she went to her glass andthe glass answered Thou queen,
thou art fairest in all thisland.
But over the hills, in thegreenwood shade where the seven

(12:34):
dwarfs their dwellings have madethere, snow White is hiding her
head and she is lovelier, far OQueen, than Then.
The queen was very much alarmed, for she knew that the glass

(12:56):
always spoke the truth and wassure that the servant had
betrayed her, and she could notbear to think that anyone who
lived was more beautiful thanshe was.
So she disguised herself as apeddler and went her way over

(13:17):
the hills to the place where thedwarves dwelt.
Then she knocked at the Finewares to sell.
Snow White looked out of thewindow and cried Good day, good

(13:38):
woman.
What have you to sell?
Good wares, fine wares, saidshe, laces and bobbins of all
colors.
I will let the old lady in.
She seems to be a very goodsort of a body, thought Snow
White.

(13:58):
So she ran down and unboltedthe door.
Bless me, said the woman, howbadly your stays are laced.
Let me lace them up with one ofmy nice new laces.
Snow White did not dream of anymischief, so she stood up

(14:25):
before the old woman.
But she set to work so nimblyand pulled the lace so tight
that Snow White lost her breathand fell down as if she were
dead.
There's an end of all thybeauty, said the spiteful queen,

(14:46):
and went away home.
In the evening the seven dwarvesreturned and I need not say how
grieved they were to see theirfaithful Snow White stretched
upon the ground, motionless asif she were quite dead.

(15:09):
However, they lifted her up andwhen they found what was the
matter, they cut the lace and ina little time she began to
breathe and soon came to lifeagain.
Then they said the old womanwas the queen herself.

(15:33):
Take care another time and letno one in when we are away.
When the queen got home, shewent to her glass and spoke to
it.
But to her glass and spoke toit.

(15:55):
But to her surprise it said thesame words as before.
Then the blood ran cold in herheart with spite and malice to
see that Snow White still lived, and she dressed herself up
again in a disguise, but verydifferent from the one she wore

(16:15):
before, and took with her apoisoned comb.
When she reached the dwarf'scottage, she knocked at the door
and cried to find wares to sell.
But Snow White said I dare notlet anyone in.

(16:35):
Then the Queen begged only lookat my beautiful combs.
And gave her the poisoned one.
And it looks so pretty that shetook it up and put it into her
hair to try it.
But the moment it touched herhead the poison was so powerful

(16:59):
that she fell down senseless.
There you may lie, said thequeen, and went her way.
But by good luck the dwarfsreturned very early that evening
and when they saw Snow Whitelying on the ground they thought

(17:22):
what had happened and soonfound the poison comb.
And when they took it away sherecovered and told them all that
had passed, and they warned heronce more not to open the door
to anyone.
Meantime the queen went home toher glass and trembled with

(17:50):
rage when she received exactlythe same answer as before and
she said Snow white shall die ifit costs me my life.
So she went secretly into achamber and prepared a poisoned

(18:11):
apple.
The outside looked very rosyand tempting, but whosoever
tasted it was sure to die.
Then she dressed herself up asa peasant's wife and traveled
over the hills to the dwarffs'cottage and knocked at the door.

(18:33):
But Snow White put her head outof the window and said I dare
not let anyone in, for thedwarfs would tell me not to Do
as you please, said the oldwoman.
But at any rate, take thispretty apple, I will make you a

(18:57):
present of it.
No, said Snow White, I dare nottake it.
You silly girl, answered theother.
What are you afraid of?
Do you think it is poisoned?
Come, do you eat one part and Iwill eat the other.
Now the apple was so preparedthat one side was good, though

(19:25):
the other side was poisoned, waspoisoned.
Then.
Snow White was very muchtempted to taste, for the apple
looked exceedingly nice and whenshe saw the old woman eat she

(19:46):
could refrain no longer.
But she had scarcely put thepiece into her mouth when she
fell down dead upon the ground.
This time nothing will savethee, said the queen, and she
went home to her glass and atlast he said Thou queen art, the

(20:08):
fairest of all the fair, queenart, the fairest of all the fair
.
And then her envious heart wasglad and as happy as such a
heart could be.
When evening came and the dwarfsreturned home, they found Snow

(20:31):
White lying on the ground, nobreath past her lips, and they
were afraid, as she was quitedead.
They lifted her up and combedher hair and washed her face
with wine and water, but all wasin vain, for the little girl

(20:53):
seemed quite dead.
So they laid her down upon abyre and all seven watched and
bewailed her three whole daysand then they proposed to bury
her, but her cheeks were stillrosy and her face looked just as

(21:14):
it did while she was alive.
So they said we will never buryher in the cold ground and they
made a coffin of glass so thatthey might still look at her and
wrote her name upon it ingolden letters and that she was
a king's daughter.

(21:34):
And the coffin was placed uponthe hill and one of the dwarves
always sat by it and watched andthe birds of the air came to
and bemoaned Snow White.
First of all came an owl andthen a raven, but at last came a

(22:04):
dove.
And thus Snow White lay for along, long time and still only
looked as though she were asleep, for she was even now as white
as snow and as red as blood andas black as ebony.

(22:39):
At last a prince came and calledat the dwarf's house and he saw
Snow White and read what waswritten in gold letters.
Then he offered the dwarfsmoney and earnestly prayed them
to let him take her away, butthey said we will not part with
her for all the gold in theworld.
Alas, however, they had pity onhim and gave him the coffin,

(23:03):
but the moment he lifted it upto carry it home with him, the
piece of apple fell from betweenher lips.
And Snow White awoke and saidwhen am I?
And the prince answered Thouart, safe with me.

(23:24):
Then he told her all that hadhappened and said I love you
better than all the world.
Come with me to my father'spalace and you shall be my wife.
And Snow White consented andwent home with the prince and

(23:48):
everything was prepared withgreat pomp and splendor for
their wedding.
And everything was preparedwith great pomp and splendor for
their wedding.
To the feast was invited, amongthe rest, snow White's old
enemy, the Queen.
And as she was dressing herselfin fine, rich clothes, she

(24:18):
looked in the glass and theglass answered Thou lady art,
the loveliest here I ween, butlovelier far is the new-made
queen.
When she heard this, shestarted with rage, but her envy
and curiosity were so great thatshe could not help setting out

(24:42):
to see the bride and when shearrived and saw that it was none
other than Snow White, who shethought been dead a long while,
she choked with passion and fellill and died.

(25:03):
But Snow White and the princelived and reigned happily over
that land.
