The calories over the long
weekends Got you damn
Forgetting stuff or what yeah.
You still in a food coma.
Mig (00:54):
Or just sloppy.
Rick (00:56):
I don't know it was Food
coma was just.
We were just like recovering.
Lano (01:01):
We were just sick, we had,
we had Well, I had, we had
turkey for three days, startedoff on Wednesday night with the
Friendsgiving at my friendStuart's oh that's right Then at
my mom's.
Mig (01:13):
Thursday.
Lano (01:13):
And then at Vanessa's
family's on Friday.
Oh, they do it Fridays.
Mig (01:17):
No because they did it this
year.
Rick (01:19):
Oh, okay.
Lano (01:20):
Yeah, it worked out.
Are they going to keep it likethat, like Fridays?
I don't know.
Maybe because everyone had togo everyone else's family so
they decided to do it on Friday.
It worked out.
Yeah, it's actually pretty good.
It worked out because we weretrying to go.
The plan was to go fishingearly, right, we got there late.
(01:40):
Yeah, you told me if I wantedto go Saturday.
We stayed.
Got there late, yeah you toldme if I wanted to go saturday.
We stayed till like four uptill four.
Mig (01:47):
Third four or four thirty
in the morning, man, that's what
time we gotta be leaving.
Lano (01:48):
Friday, friday night when
you gotta get up for a saturday
morning.
Stayed up friday night intosaturday morning.
Yeah, yeah, hey, but likethanksgiving passed.
I hope everybody had a blessedThanksgiving with the family.
Mig (02:05):
Had a good time.
Lano (02:08):
But Black Friday and Cyber
Monday, you've always been big
on the shopping days Back in theday.
We've talked about it beforeabout staying out.
Well, you were staying out inlines when that was a thing with
Fat Boy, mm-hmm.
So now you do everything online.
(02:28):
Yeah, tell me, you bought acoffee machine in here, some
kind of Keurig or something, sowe can make coffee in here.
Rick (02:36):
No, I should have.
You should have told me youshould have told me I could have
made some, I could have hadsomething set up amateur, I'm so
pissed off man that would havebeen good a coffee maker or
something in here right here wemake it right here already.
Yeah, no, I didn't get, Iforgot you could have freshened
(03:00):
up my tea.
Lano (03:01):
Those, those deals are
insane, man.
I was.
You know.
I was telling Vanessa I wouldgo.
You know, black Friday dealsare always out early.
Yeah Well, they were out likesince the beginning of November.
Rick (03:13):
Kind of yeah.
Lano (03:15):
Last September Black Day,
black Friday I would go
practically every day to HomeDepot and walk Just the same
specials.
Mig (03:25):
And act like it was the
first time seen.
Rick (03:29):
I swear I did that the
whole month, like seeing if it
was going to drop.
Lano (03:33):
No just everything that
they had on display for Black
Friday.
And I kept going to the rigidtools, I kept looking at the
stuff I want to buy, that I'mgoing to get, and just
everything.
And I already have my rigidstorage boxes, the toolboxes.
Rick (03:49):
I hear like a ticking.
Lano (03:50):
What is that?
What was that?
Are we going to blow it?
Rick (03:53):
Oh, it might be the camera
up on top.
Maybe, the one that's going tobe ready to charge it Trying to
spite on us man.
Hopefully it still recordswithout the screen, but we'll
see.
Lano (04:02):
I have that toolbox
already.
Yeah, I still go there and looklike man, I want to buy another
toolbox set or whatever.
But yeah, I must have gone like, if not every other day, go to
Home Depot and look at all thedeals I haven't confirmed this,
but you know how they say, likeBlack Friday starts now.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Right now.
Rick (04:22):
Do the prices well, before
Black Friday starts?
Oh yeah, november, yeah, do theprices?
Are they the true Bottom Lowdown price or do they drop again
on Black Friday or?
Mig (04:32):
Saturday.
You know, it's funny that yousay that, because I was seeing
some videos, like video shorts,on YouTube and Some on Instagram
.
Yeah, I don't know how truethey are, but they show you know
that the prices Like they.
Some on Instagram yeah, I don'tknow how true they are, but
they show.
You know that the prices likethey have the prices advertised
at the stores Like, say, likeWalmart.
(04:54):
You know they have like therollback or whatever.
Well, they pulled the BlackFriday, you know paper off.
Lano (05:02):
Yeah, yeah, the price, the
new price yeah like the the
price.
Mig (05:04):
The new price, yeah, like
the lower price and what it went
up.
And no, it was exactly the same.
Oh the same, like it shows theregular price, like regular time
price or whatever.
But then they put like a BlackFriday reduced price.
Rick (05:19):
Oh so it wasn't even like
a sale before, like the pre-sale
.
No, it was the same price asjust the regular price.
Mig (05:25):
Wow, was there even like a
sale before, like the pre-sale?
No, it was the same price asjust the regular price.
Wow, but they make you thinkthat it's on sale.
But there was stuff.
But that's what I'm saying.
I don't know how true it is.
Rick (05:31):
So that Walmart happy face
bouncing ball is supposed to
drop all the prices.
Mig (05:34):
Well, I, just used Walmart
as an example.
I don't think it was in aWalmart, but that's what I'm
saying, I mean, but I thinkthere might be some truth to it.
Lano (05:43):
Yeah.
Mig (05:44):
You know, because unless
you really know and you've been
following something- no one'sgoing to know Like how you say
you're going to Home Depot everyday?
Yeah, I wouldn't know.
You know, like you would know, yeah, you know, like say the
table sauce.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Yeah.
Lano (06:09):
You know, if that table
sauce was $2.99 and now it
dropped down to $1.59, then youwould know.
Well, check this out.
So I get these emails, blackfriday special emails from home
depot.
When you go into it and thenyou say you go into, like the
ridges, the rigid tools yeahthere's like 29 pages of their
power tools or whatever.
yeah, so I went through all ofthem and that impact, that sub
compact, um ratchet wrench, right that I wanted.
That's $199 just to tool onlyat Home Depot and I've been
(06:34):
wanting that.
It's 250 foot pounds of torqueand I've been wanting that,
right I bought that drill set.
I kept going back and back andback.
I bought that drill set.
I kept going back and back andback and once I looked at the
email, I went through the wholeemail and almost like towards
the middle maybe towards alittle bit past the middle I
(07:03):
found that drill, that impactratchet for $179 with a free
2-amp battery.
So I was like dude, I got tojump on it Like boom.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
I was waiting to see
if this thing was going down.
Lano (07:10):
Oh yeah, but at the store
it's $199.
It's $179, and I get a 2 ampbattery.
It's like I scored.
Rick (07:15):
Yeah, it's a no-brainer,
hey you're making sure you're
buying brushless drills.
I haven't bought a drill yet.
Did you just say you bought adrill kit?
I bought the drill bits.
Lano (07:28):
Oh bits.
Rick (07:29):
Remember that bit.
You were showing me that theydrill through everything.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
You were showing me
some on Instagram.
I bought that set.
Rick (07:36):
So, as it came in, it's
supposed to come, I think, on
Friday.
What are you going to use it on?
Whatever I need to make a holein?
Mig (07:41):
I don't know If I ever need
to make a hole through some
steel or whatever, I'm ready I'mready I'm gonna put the your
ryobi, your ryobi's just notgonna do that dude ryobi's not a
professional great you neverknow, but you might have to put
a hole in the zombie's head, youknow, and just that bit, that
(08:03):
bit's going to make the movie.
Lano (08:08):
Hey what I'm telling you,
like because I've been watching.
I mean, obviously the higherline of the tools is the better
right.
Right, but like I watched a lotof tool reviews and this dude
that Tools of Souls, that oneguy that tests everything.
He breaks down a lot of stuff.
He tests us all, the, the toolsand everything to Walt
Milwaukee cobalt flex all stuffright.
(08:30):
Lowe's carries the way HomeDepot and he says don't even
waste buying brush tools andwhich is that's the cheapest
right, you'll see like a, like akit that has all these tools
that are brushed still brushedmotors and they're like for $300
(08:51):
.
Where it's like you're just it'snot going to last, where you
want to get the brushless motor, that's what's going to run
cooler, more efficient, strongerand then using the correct
battery, you know and then don'tyou think, don't you think some
like a set like that is builtfor like the casual d, yeah, for
(09:13):
the home for the home, home, yeah yeah, you know.
Mig (09:15):
So that that's that's what
it really they're supposed to be
made for.
That's what ryobi is for, yeahthat's what ryobi is not.
Lano (09:23):
You don't see that on a,
on a construction site no
they're not a construction site,it's, it's, it's only milwaukee
dewalt or yeah, like I don'teven see rigid and I'm, I'm
buying rigid because it's.
Rick (09:35):
I mean, it's just uh,
pretty, pretty tough.
The one drew.
I bought a home people so I hadthe battery, so then I just
bought everything that goes withthat battery so I don't have to
be separating the batteries.
So I'm in there.
Lano (09:46):
No, but like this, like
the Ryobi stuff, that's good for
home projects.
Because you're not going to bedoing heavy duty, everyday work.
Rick (09:53):
Yeah, but if I am, I got
that drill bit, so we'll see.
Yeah, we'll see what else.
So that's all you bought.
You bought anything good?
Lano (10:05):
I bought a couple storage
boxes.
No $6 storage boxes 20 gallon,27 gallon.
Mig (10:13):
No, I was almost going to
buy a label maker, but like to
print out a postage.
Rick (10:22):
I've been looking at those
for a while.
Yeah For returns and stuffright.
Yeah For your cards.
Mig (10:27):
Well, yeah, that's the
thing.
Because I was going to, I'vebeen looking at a lot of videos
on YouTube because, like lastyear I tried selling some of my
cards and a lot of them didn'tsell.
And I seen, because, likeeverything changed so much with
eBay, like even the shippingcosts and everything it's like
(10:47):
before I would ship everythinglike really well protected in a
bubble mill or you know, with atop loader and everything, and
just really well protected Likesandwiched between cardboard,
but I would have to charge likealmost like four bucks for the
shipping.
Rick (11:03):
Yeah.
Mig (11:04):
You know, but it comes, but
it comes really well protected,
and I was doing good doing that.
But things have changed andapparently now they're actually
shipping like the lower dollarcards, like anything under $20.
They're shipping them just likein regular envelopes, like
those foam packets, no, justregular envelopes Like those
(11:25):
foam packets, no, just regularenvelopes, but they're.
You know eBay's getting like adiscounted postage for like
under a dollar, so like a lot ofthese sellers are shipping for
a dollar and like when I sawthat, I'm like how the hell can
(11:46):
they get away with that?
But then I started watchingYouTube videos over and more and
more and more like how to shipand everything.
I started, okay, that's whatthey're doing.
Then it's like they have thismethod where they're doing it to
kind of protect the cards asbest they can, but the buyers
have to realize it.
(12:06):
You know it's like, yeah, you're getting this cheap
shipping, but it's not going toguarantee you're going to get
the card undamaged.
You know, yeah, yeah.
Rick (12:16):
Oh, so the buyer picks the
shipping tier or whatever, or
no.
Mig (12:22):
Well, yeah, I mean because
obviously if I sell a card for
$500, I'm not going to put it ina paper envelope, you know, and
just send it on its way.
It's like I'm going to.
I'll probably even cover theshipping, so that way I can
insure it and everything andmake sure it gets to that person
.
But my whole point was BlackFriday.
(12:42):
I was looking at these labelmakers because if I start
selling cards like that, toprint out labels, what I was
doing before was just printingthem out on regular paper, then
I cut them out and tape them tothe bubble miller and everything
.
It was like real easy.
But once I started seeing thatthey're doing this like with
these envelopes, like the paperenvelopes I'm like that's going
(13:03):
to be a pain in the ass.
It's like with these envelopes, like the paper envelopes, like
that's going to be a pain in theass.
Lano (13:06):
Right, you know, to do the
.
Mig (13:07):
To cut out from regular
paper and then tape it, mm-hmm.
Lano (13:11):
Oh, to the envelope.
You know, yeah, yeah, yeah, sothat's where you want the label
maker.
Mig (13:15):
Yeah.
So then I saw this one dudethat said he uses a label maker.
You know where you buy the rollwith the stickers and just
stick it on there.
Boom, you're done.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
I was like shit
that's awesome, that's perfect.
Mig (13:28):
Yeah, so I started Looking
at the prices and everything.
Yeah, you could get somethingfor under 100 bucks.
Rick (13:33):
Are you under 100?
Mig (13:35):
Well, for Black Friday I
had seen some really nice ones
that I wanted.
They're like almost under 70,and I was about to pull the
trigger.
But then I'm like, well, no, Imean Christmas is coming up, and
then I'm Like almost under 70.
Oh, wow, and I was about topull the trigger, but then I'm
like, well, no, I mean Christmasis coming up, and you know,
then I'm always like I don'thave anything that I need you
know for the gift exchange, youknow so.
I'm like no, let me put it on mylist better.
(13:56):
But then I went back to go lookat the prices.
The prices went up and I'm likedamn man Went up and I'm like
Damn man.
Rick (14:03):
Do you need a Subscription
or anything?
Speaker 4 (14:06):
For what, or you?
Rick (14:07):
just need like a I don't
know For that To print out the
labels, or you just need like aUPS account or something.
Mig (14:12):
No, you do it through eBay.
Oh through eBay.
Yeah, you do it through eBay,cause eBay's the one that gets
the discounted shipping.
Lano (14:20):
So everything, oh gotcha,
they send you the label and then
you just print it out.
Mig (14:23):
Well, it's like a PDF,
right yeah so, as you're
finishing your sale, you'redoing all your.
You can print the shippinglabel from the eBay website.
So from there is where you'regoing to send it.
Rick (14:37):
Click your printer.
Mig (14:39):
And that's the thing, those
little printers, they all have
Bluetooth.
Rick (14:43):
Like connected to the
network or something.
Mig (14:45):
Yeah, so you just say you
know you connect your little
adapter or whatever that littlepiece to the computer, to the
USB port.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Yeah.
Mig (14:53):
And from there it'll send
it Bluetooth, so like there's no
wiring, it's all wireless andeverything.
Yeah, so it's really easy tolike put away when you're not
using it or whatever.
Lano (15:09):
Oh you're saying it's a
wireless printer that ricky can
figure out.
Stupid wireless printer, dude, stupid, you shouldn't even get.
Rick (15:14):
Oh yeah, damn wireless
printers, they don't work, dude
but I I've been eyeing those fora while because, um, my wife
makes a lot of returns and stuffand she's always like printing
over here and then cutting itout.
Lano (15:26):
Returns from what Amazon?
Rick (15:29):
Just her shopping, amazon
or whatever I mean.
Lano (15:31):
Amazon is so easy.
Amazon is easy, but like theybuy stuff outside of Amazon.
Rick (15:36):
Clothes and all that stuff
.
Lano (15:37):
I got the UPS store just
down the street.
Just give them the QR code, they print out their label it.
Mig (15:43):
It's on there in the back,
but that was about the only
Black Friday purchase I wasgoing to make.
Rick (15:50):
I got to write it down
because I've been thinking about
those too.
Lano (15:53):
I bought that ratchet, I'm
about to turn up the damn
mechanic work at the house.
Mig (16:03):
I bought the sweater.
What do you need?
Lano (16:06):
How about the sweater?
It's Just like my truck.
The suspension stuff I gotta doRedo all the brake system,
emergency brake, all that, thesuspension stuff.
Rick (16:21):
Would you ever consider I
mean cause I used to watch All
those car shows and stuffGetting a lift.
It seems like that thing Makesit so much easier.
Lano (16:29):
Nah, I wouldn't get.
It wouldn't benefit me Bendpacks or whatever.
Rick (16:31):
Cause I don't work on
those car shows and stuff.
Getting a Lyft, it seems likethat thing makes it so much
easier.
Lano (16:33):
I wouldn't get it,
wouldn't benefit me, bend packs
or whatever, because I don'twork on cars constantly.
Rick (16:36):
But that just makes it
easier, you know.
Lano (16:38):
Manny keeps saying he's
going to get a Lyft because he
has cars over there, like if Ihad a garage or something it
would be like a Lyft.
Mig (16:45):
I mean you don't have the
room for it regardless.
Rick (16:47):
Yeah, yeah.
Mig (16:48):
But saying you have the
room for it Inside the garage.
The lift would be nice Becauseyou could put A car on it and
park another one underneath, raise it up and then park one
underneath.
They're about two grand or more.
So they're pretty nice, youknow, they're pretty convenient.
Rick (17:06):
Yeah, I seen.
I mean, I was looking.
Mig (17:08):
If you have the room for
them.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Yeah, yeah, they're
pretty nice, they're pretty
convenient yeah.
Rick (17:11):
I've seen some.
I was looking at them.
If you have the room for them, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, and I've seenthem set up because we're, you
know, at the airport, wherewe're at our neighbors across
from us set one up, but they're,and you'd be in a big truck
like you.
Just crawl underneath it.
There's plenty of clearance, right, or do you Not?
And you'd be in a big trucklike you just crawl underneath
it.
Mig (17:30):
There's plenty of clearance
, right?
Well, not plenty.
I mean the way these trucks arecoming out now.
You know, with all thisaerodynamic fenders and all this
shit on it, it makes them solow it's hard to get in there.
Yeah, but the trucks I mean theshit I work on.
You would be talking about ahuge lift.
They make them.
Rick (17:52):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
When.
Lano (17:54):
I had the Wolf right here.
I was thinking of getting one.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
I thought they were
getting a decent price for a car
Huh.
Lano (17:58):
Because Manu was always
talking about getting a lift.
Rick (18:02):
Well, doesn't it just make
it easier?
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Yeah, it does.
Mig (18:05):
Well, when you got to do
the underneath stuff yeah, and
then you're just standinginstead of like crouching or
running over all that stuff.
Yeah, it makes it easier, but Imean for me it would be more
advantageous to have it for thespace saver aspect of it.
Lano (18:27):
You know you could put it
in the driveway, back in car,
lift it up and put the other oneunderneath.
Mig (18:31):
Yeah, you could do that too
.
Rick (18:35):
I mean I didn't Go crazy.
I just bought Like a hard driveFor like a backup For the
computer.
Cause there was one day when Iwas editing and then like For a
while I would stop editing andthen come back the next day.
And then one time I came backthe next day and like the
computer was like shut off andthen like I had to like start
all over so like I ate away likea whole day of my editing.
(18:55):
So now like um, I bought a,just a hard drive to back up so
I could um, always, um, so it'sprotected.
Then I was looking for studioum stuff, but I didn't really
see anything on sale that wouldimprove what we do here.
Lano (19:10):
I I follow this little guy
that has the deals, that little
guy that does the costco, theskinny costco deals or home
depot deals yeah, I think it'lllike 20 things you should buy.
Yeah, yeah yeah, I always watchit because he's got a good
little system going there.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
Yeah.
Lano (19:29):
He runs through them all
quick and I'm like oh shit, I
bought a couple things, this onedude, I bought this tester,
this volt tester, or to test.
Mig (19:43):
Oh, you know what I found
mine Electricity.
Oh, you found it.
Lano (19:46):
Yeah.
Rick (19:46):
Like volts, like
electricity.
Lano (19:48):
Yeah.
Mig (19:48):
Yeah, like a yeah, volt
tester, we were putting a lamp
in my mom's kitchen and my dadbrought him a volt tester and it
messed up.
It broke I don't know what, andI knew I had one, I just
couldn't find it.
And you?
Know where I have it, it's sostupid, where my computer, where
(20:08):
all my stuff is, all my workstuff, I have it with all my
pens and everything.
Rick (20:13):
It's right there, dude,
that's like a little thing With
like two pens, or is it like apluggy pluggy?
Yeah, you know.
Mig (20:19):
You put it through the plug
.
And like it lights up.
Rick (20:21):
Or whatever, unless you
know, if it's a hot wire.
Okay yeah, those are alwaysgood To have around the house.
So we were there was somethingelse.
Lano (20:29):
I was going to ask you If
you bought Me or me you, what is
it?
When was the coffee I forgot?
Right before the show Snacks.
Mig (20:40):
Was it for the show?
Lano (20:43):
Yeah, yeah, you know what?
You only bought that pretzelthing once and that was it.
That was my.
You just let them get all stale, my wife.
Rick (20:53):
She was like I'll have to
put some chips together or
something, some snacks.
Mig (20:59):
But let's get to the phone
call.
Get the Keurig.
That's all there was in thebudget.
Let's get to the phone callAlright the t-shirt sales have
been dismal.
I know nothing.
Alright, hold on, let me see ifI can phone call.
Rick (21:08):
All right the t-shirt
cells have been dismal.
I know nothing.
Nothing's on all right.
Uh, hold on.
Let me see if I could.
When was this from?
Because we've been gone for the18th november 18, which, oh,
that's kind of relevant becausewe never talked about it 20 days
, 21 days ago, um hold on thisis oh and we do apologize to all
(21:33):
the drifters out there forbeing gone so long and not
putting out any content.
I don't even know if there'sstill drifters out there.
I was sick and then the holidayscame and busy work with people
who are busy.
Alright, this is the phone call.
Mig (21:48):
This is from November, we
got our three or four listeners
for sure right 18th November18th.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Hey, yo Drifton and
the Royal Staff.
I want to say one thing aboutthe Mike Tyson and Jake Paul
fight.
One thing that really pissed meoff about it is that I grew up,
you know, watching Mike Tysonfight.
I raised my son I don't knowhow much of a badass Mike Tyson
is, and then he gets his asswhipped by Jake Paul.
You know it's a fake fight, allfor the money.
(22:16):
But all my son can say isthat's the Mike Tyson you were
talking about, that's what youwere saying.
The man.
You know that guy's a punk, hecan't beat Jake Paul.
And I'm telling my son it'sstage, man, stage.
He's like no, it's not, it'snot stage.
I don't think they did it rightfor the culture, bro, not for
us.
I mean they didn't let us standour ground right when Mike
(22:39):
Tyson should have won.
So what I'm trying to say isthey let us down, they messed it
up for our kids and for us.
People are telling kids howdope they are, how dope Mike
Tyson is, and then he fell likethat.
Anyways, he catched my driftJust on a roll Later.
Lano (22:53):
You know what.
That's so true, man.
True, that's so true becauseyou know what?
Mike should have never done it.
He should have neverentertained it if he was going
to do some bullshit like that.
Mig (23:05):
Because he said in
interviews after he did it for
the money.
Rick (23:08):
No, he needed money oh, he
did say that.
Yeah, because I I think it was,I seen, I seen him interviewed
afterwards it's, and he said heneeded the money.
Lano (23:18):
It's bullshit because the
legacy just like he said yeah,
we're telling kids that how badhe is, and then, and then that's
they.
Yeah, they, they all.
They don't see old dominantmike tyson, they just see the
that's all they need to do is,show them those clips.
But it doesn't, it's not gonnamatter, because he did this
(23:42):
bullshit kids.
Now they're not, they're notgonna like.
That's the time, my tyson, you're, you're all piping us,
you know, hyping up it's and hecan't even beat a damn.
Mig (23:49):
I mean hyping up, it's like
it and he can't even beat a
damn.
I mean, the other thing is it'slike even worse than that is
that he let this hack.
You know, win the fight, fix towin the fight, but the only
thing people remember is him inthe interview before the fight
turning around and showing hisbare ass.
Yeah, you know, it's like theyclown him so much because of
(24:12):
that.
It's like I've seen so manymemes dude that just clown him
on that Like someone did a.
They said that they updatedMike Tyson's butt shout.
Lano (24:28):
Oh shit.
Mig (24:29):
And they have Tyson on
there with his butt cheeks all
hanging out.
Looks like he's wearing a thongwith a little mac right there.
That's terrible dude.
And then other memes.
They show those little yellowdudes from one of those yeah,
the Minions they show those, those little yellow dudes From
(24:49):
One of those Minions?
Rick (24:50):
Yeah, the minions.
Mig (24:51):
One of them.
You know, they show them.
You know, with these buttcheeks All hanging out and
everything they're like, yeah.
Lano (24:59):
You know, I just, I just
hate it, man.
Everything that was sacred Isjust For what I mean.
But the thing I mean also it'slike how are you gonna say, even
though, how old he was, it'slike you're gonna?
You're gonna Say he's the mostfeared.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
Boxer or whatever
yeah.
Lano (25:16):
And then this bullshit
he's like he, he couldn't even
beat Jake Paul.
They're not gonna care abouthow old he is.
Mig (25:21):
The thing is, I could also
Go and try to look up clips that
I've seen.
Where Tyson was about to pullthe trigger, he didn't.
If he didn't sell out where hewas about to pull the trigger,
he would have knocked this dudeout.
Rick (25:38):
Yeah.
Mig (25:39):
But he didn't.
Rick (25:40):
That's what I've been
seeing a lot like, where he held
back, it's like he's cocked andready to go.
Mig (25:44):
They show it in the past
where he throws it and knocks it
out.
Rick (25:46):
He steps away, and then he
stops, he knocks it out.
Mig (25:50):
Yeah, that's where I think
it will stay, and it's like a
bunch of memes and everythingthat say right here at this
moment Tyson remembered he'sbeing paid $20 million.
Yeah, and like he pulls a punchBecause I was excited about it.
I saw the pre-shows, you know,like the 24 hours before I
wasn't 24 hours before I knew itwas going to be a shit show.
Lano (26:09):
I left in the beginning of
the sixth round.
We were having a dinner for myniece and my nephew and I was
like dude, I'm not going to staywatching this bullshit.
I left.
I left to work.
Mig (26:20):
After that first round,
when he didn't knock him out, I
said this fight's bullshit, thisis trash.
Rick (26:26):
He looked good in the
training, but I really felt like
he held his punches for theshow.
Let him win.
He got paid.
No, he absolutely did.
Lano (26:33):
After that fight I changed
my mind about who I would want
to represent the human race ifthey were ever to have to go
encounter the aliens and talk onbehalf of us.
I said Mike Tyson, yeah.
And I said after that fight.
I said nah, fuck that, let'skeep it.
Tyson, yeah.
And I said after that fight.
I said nah, fuck that.
No.
I changed mine to Keanu Reeves.
Rick (26:52):
I want Keanu Reeves to go
there and talk to the aliens on
behalf of the human race, babaYaga.
And I think, like they said, you're going to get this much
money and then if you let me win, you'll get.
But he had his son there Likecome on and then even making it
a legitimate damn fight.
That counts is bullshit, because I mean the YouTube guy.
(27:18):
He didn't look impressive to me.
He looked a little slow Like hewas getting hit.
It's just.
At first I thought Tyson wasjust old.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
But I was like no, no
, he looked better.
Rick (27:26):
But then I saw him holding
his punches back from the
comparisons that Miggy wastalking about.
I saw him holding his punchesback from the comparisons that
Miggy was talking about.
Lano (27:31):
I saw that on Instagram
and he held back.
Why entertain all this nonsense?
There's some people that's likeoh yeah, he really can box.
He takes it serious, he trainshard, whatever.
If he was serious about it, hewould go box professionally.
Rick (27:45):
Yeah.
Lano (27:45):
And all this hoopla
wouldn't be all this bullshit,
going this bullshit.
Rick (27:49):
All the boxers he's fought
Jake Paul, they're all old,
they're older, they're likeretired, they're not like.
Still in there.
And then who knows?
Lano (27:58):
I mean, I'm not even gonna
buy into it With damn Tate.
Damn Andrew Tate Wants tofucking fight him Cause he wants
to damn Kick his ass.
But then who knows that that'sanother hype thing damn thing he
wasn't he calling out caneloyeah he was calling out canelo.
Canelo will probably sell thesellout too.
Rick (28:19):
I know, that's what I was
thinking she's just all about
the money.
Mig (28:23):
Canelo's a damn sellout too
man I've given up on boxing for
years already.
Rick (28:29):
And this doesn't help it.
This makes it go back to whenwe fought.
No, it just affirms everythingthat we knew that it's all
rigged.
Mig (28:37):
It's a damn circus, it's
all rigged and it all comes down
to who has the money to buy thefight.
Lano (28:45):
That's why where it's at
is UFC man.
Yeah, you see that damn JohnJones fight no.
Mig (28:51):
I didn't see the fight, but
I seen the celebration after.
Yeah, you didn't see that kickhe gave.
Lano (28:59):
Nah, Homeboy man, you
better go back and watch that
man.
That thing was brutal.
Mig (29:04):
I keep forgetting to look
at it.
Lano (29:05):
Brutal man Broken damn.
He must have broken like threeribs once that heel damn caught
the bottom of that rib cage.
Solid dude.
Rick (29:19):
Now, before you came, me
and Meg were listening to the
new Ice Cube and we were talkingabout why I brought up that
West Coast is having a littlerenaissance.
They're coming back right now.
Speaker 4 (29:31):
Yeah.
Rick (29:31):
Have you been hearing all
the different albums from
everybody coming out?
Maybe he says that Spotifyhasn't been working.
Lano (29:37):
No, well, I mean, I don't
play the subscriptions to.
Mig (29:42):
Spotify.
So I don't know, Maybe that'swhy I wasn't playing them.
Rick (29:45):
What do you think of the
Kendrick?
Lano (29:48):
Oh, kendrick, I like
Kendrick.
Rick (29:50):
I like them.
What do?
Lano (29:51):
you think of the kendrick?
Oh, kendrick is, I likekendrick, I like it and it's
more like west coast.
But, um, I guess, because youguys said you were listening to
cube, I don't want to listen toit, because then I don't want to
be like tyson, you're afraidhe's gonna let you down.
Rick (30:01):
Yeah, no, it's, I mean
it's like that I mean I'll tell
you right now the three or four
Mig (30:06):
songs that we listen to
dude he's not gonna let you down
it tough.
Lano (30:09):
It's tough because what
are they going to rap about?
Like, what did he rap about?
Mig (30:16):
that was so good.
There's one that's called SoulSensitive and he's just ripping
into the woke culture.
Rick (30:23):
Right.
Okay, there's another one, andit sounds like Cube, it's Cube.
No-transcript.
You know, it's my ego.
Mig (30:29):
You know, that's just the
one where he comes out just
telling everybody he's still ontop.
You know, and I'm still the manI'm still it, you know.
Lano (30:41):
I don't know, it's just
for me the stuff that we grew up
hearing.
It's hard Like, yeah, I meanhe's on top.
It'll be harder, for oncethey're up there to make an
album.
You know that.
Rick (30:58):
I mean, it's just.
Lano (30:59):
I think once they do their
classics when they're young,
and that's it.
Rick (31:03):
I mean it's like lightning
in a bottle.
It's hard to get lightning in abottle twice.
It's exactly like.
Lano (31:07):
Andre, I mean Andre 3000.
Like he didn't want to be anold rapper.
Mig (31:13):
Yeah.
Lano (31:14):
You know rapping.
Mig (31:16):
Yeah, I get you, I mean,
but I'm telling you, it's like I
was telling Lana when I waslistening to these songs that
were playing, and I'm like, dude, it's like Cube just has this
intelligence, you know.
And it even comes on in one ofthe song's lyrics, you know,
where he says that he didn't goto college, and it's like but I
(31:38):
forget how the rest of it wentbut my thought was exactly, it's
like, yeah, dude, it's like youdidn't go to college, but you
still you know your brilliancestill comes across.
You know it's like you provethat you can still be extremely
intelligent, but still be hood.
Lano (32:00):
You know it's like, but
that's the thing, he's not hood,
he's not hood.
Mig (32:04):
But I mean.
Rick (32:05):
I mean, yeah, he has a
mansion now.
I mean, yeah, he can't berapping about that.
Lano (32:08):
No, no, no, I'm not saying
he has a mansion now.
I mean, yeah, you can't berapping about that.
No, no, no, you're not aboutthat life, no more.
Mig (32:11):
I'm not saying he's rapping
about that, I'm just saying the
way he converses.
You know it's not like he'scoming off like completely
articulate or like he's soundinglike he's college educated.
Lano (32:25):
It's just all the old
stuff, like I don't want to see
that fall off where okay, evenif it's like a good sounding
album.
But like if no one's likepaying attention, like no one
really cares about it, it's justgoing to be like a fall off,
and that's what I was talkingabout.
I want to hold on to likeclassics holding them up there.
(32:51):
Yeah, I don't want to see.
Oh man, he's falling off.
Look what he's doing right here.
Rick (32:56):
I don't want to see that.
I don't want to see a.
Lano (32:58):
Tyson.
Rick (32:59):
I heard the whole album.
That's what I'm saying and Ilike it, but I haven't heard a
song on the radio.
I'm liking stuff, but it's notbeing played, played Out there,
so I don't know if that's gonnaHurt it or not.
Lano (33:12):
It's because now hip hop
is like Trash.
No, but like hip hop Is like agame for like what damn Kendrick
is doing?
But he can do it Because he'sIn that fucking prime.
Mig (33:27):
Yeah, but I think the thing
is Kendrick is very few,
because what's out there andsupposedly you know banging and
shit.
It's horrible, you know it'slike one repeated hook.
On a beat, a bunch of mumbling.
Lano (33:45):
And it's all trash dude.
For our era of legends.
Yeah, I don't want to see thefall off.
I don't want to see themdowngraded.
I guess, I don't know.
Mig (34:04):
I mean, from what I was
listening to, what we heard, I
don't think there's much falloff.
It's like.
Lano (34:09):
You'll hear that like, oh
yeah, that's a dope track,
whatever, but then you're stillgoing to be bumping the classics
.
It's like a one and done.
You won't be bumping it.
I think the only thing that'slike reverse is like, maybe like
rock.
Rick (34:27):
You know they can keep
making albums that'll probably
sound good, but well, I mean, but what's a like the last
metallica album exactly 72seasons and that's hard for me
to listen to.
Lano (34:40):
Yeah, it's like and then
like I listen to it.
Mig (34:43):
There's some yeah, it's not
like classic.
There's some good stuff inthere, you know.
But yeah, I mean, for me theyfell off after the Black Album,
after the Black Album, after theBlack Album.
Lano (34:57):
They just fell off after
that.
Not for me.
I mean because for me SaintAnger was garbage, but Death
Magnetic and then Hardwire Isgood for me.
Mig (35:11):
Nah, I mean I just, I just
really miss that, that angry
thrash that they came up doing.
You know, just like that fast, you know.
Lano (35:24):
But they couldn't do that.
They couldn't do that, thewhole career.
Rick (35:29):
Now, what's a?
A rock.
Lano (35:31):
Those are.
Those are songs when they wereyoung man.
Rick (35:33):
You guys, they had their.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
They had their
mindset.
That's what I'm saying.
Lano (35:37):
That's heavy metal, right,
so like it's like Metallica,
they evolved.
Rick (35:41):
Yeah, now where do you
hear that Like that?
Music right now Like no, youdon't.
You don't hear it's on theradio, right, there's no
stations that cover that, what?
There's no new rock, thrashGenres or no Like people coming
up.
Mig (35:53):
Well, it's not thrash, but
they probably call it Something
else.
It's all that.
I when they you can't evenunderstand what they're saying,
where they're all just Screaminglike it's all that stuff.
Lano (36:04):
Hey, it's just, I
appreciate, man, the In the era
I grew up, because the From Fromthe.
Well, you know, of course, allthe classic stuff.
Mig (36:19):
Yeah.
Lano (36:19):
But we have the classic
stuff From the 60s, 70s, some in
the 80s.
Well Cause, that's why.
Mig (36:25):
It all, it's all build up,
so, but Once.
Lano (36:29):
Like our Peak, our era,
yeah, the 90s.
Well, because that's why it all, it's all build up, so and I
think, like once, like our peakor yeah, the, the 90s and the
2000s, I think all genres peakedright there.
Mig (36:38):
Amazing, yeah, amazing
music, dude, I think just all
music peaked right there andit's been like I'll take my 90s
decades, you know, over anyother decade.
Lano (36:49):
You're wild.
Rick (36:50):
That's what I call music
volume four.
Lano (36:52):
That's when you're
listening to like Mariah Carey
and Color Me Bad dude.
Rick (36:57):
You listen to all that
soft shit.
So I have a record.
So you guys, a while back Isent you guys a podcast or an
interview with Julian Torres.
Julian Torres the death rowartist oh yeah, yeah oh, yeah,
yeah, yeah did you guys catchany of it, or whatever?
Or his album no, not the albumor the podcast, the podcast I
(37:20):
sent you, or anything.
No oh no because I I listened toit on the way when that time I
went out of town.
So I was like, how long was it?
Uh, it was about an hour Hourand 10 minutes, or something
like that.
Lano (37:34):
I saw a little clip of the
girl the mariachi girl from
Kedrick.
But yeah, I wanted to listen tothe guy because I wanted to see
how good he is with all hisother stuff, so he was the.
Mig (37:49):
I want to see if he has a
distinct like something unique
about him so he's just a regularlike singer, like when I heard
him I just heard as a regularsinger, so he's just like any I
didn't find anything specialabout him no death row artist um
first latino mariachi artist ondeath row.
Rick (38:08):
so like he, like he's the
first, so I was like you know
I'm going to.
Lano (38:10):
There could have been like
30 others man.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
Yeah.
Lano (38:14):
There could have been a
damn, a señor right there on
mariachi plaza.
There could have been.
Rick (38:19):
So apparently Fred Rekt.
The story is Fred Rektdiscovered him at the Kobe
funeral or whatever.
He sang at Staples Center andFred Rekt was there and he heard
the voice and then, like thatguy reposted a few years later.
A few years later, he repostedthat instagram and frederick saw
(38:39):
it again.
Lano (38:39):
How many songs did you
hear from him?
Rick (38:45):
that's that one that he
sent.
No, we gotta hear it, we gottaI.
Then I gotta, we gotta hear hisother songs.
So I got this new record player.
So I was like you know what I'mgonna see if they have the
record because, like the firstmariachi, did you find it so?
I'm gonna order it, so I wentto deathrollrecordscom.
Lano (38:56):
I thought you just go down
to the studio and pick it up,
so that uh why don't you part ofdeath roll?
Rick (39:01):
it's all the way in
englewood, it's in englewood and
the compound all the way inenglewood the comp, the compound
, the ble compound and thenLEcompound, and then you can't,
you can't.
Lano (39:10):
You can't put the
basketball jersey and the death
roll chain on and just walk inand we'll get the copy.
Rick (39:14):
I mean I could, but with
the kids To get out there, like
you, own the place.
So Snoop has an actual store, Iguess outside of SoFi Over
there in Inglewood also.
But so like, so I go to thewebsite.
I I see the album right, theMariachi album.
I was like I'm going to orderthis, so I ordered it.
It takes about 10 days.
You know it's not Amazon, thisis Snoop Dogg.
(39:34):
So they sent me the wrong album.
Lano (39:38):
So it takes long because
he's high.
They sent you the wrong album.
Rick (39:42):
So they sent me Doggy
style, doggy style.
Lano (39:45):
Let me see it that's still
a classic album.
Rick (39:48):
But I already have it.
I already have it.
Lano (39:50):
Oh, so it means I can keep
this one.
Rick (39:51):
No, I'm gonna keep that,
cause I gotta show you something
else.
Open it up.
Open it up, no, take, take thealbum out, take the record out.
So, like I saw that it's adouble, it's a yeah, it's a
double, but it's a clear recordand the record I have is black
here you take it off.
So this record came out clear.
(40:12):
So I was like, oh, that's kindof cool, like it's a clear
record so is it a specialedition yeah, like a special
reprint or something, master.
I mean doesn't make it any worthanything more oh, that's clean
but it's a, it's a clear record.
Oh wow, I don't know.
I mean how many, I don't knowwhat about the other one is
(40:35):
clear.
Yeah, all of them are clear.
Lano (40:38):
This is dope dude.
Rick (40:40):
I just thought that was
kind of cool Because remember we
were looking at the otherrecords I was looking at Like we
had the secret you know whichone I should have bought.
Lano (40:47):
When I started getting
into Mayor Hawthorne, he sold
that first album.
Rick (40:51):
The Heart, one Heart Shape
.
Yeah, I should have bought that.
I see that when people look atcollector, that one pops up.
Lano (40:56):
That one's probably
expensive.
Rick (40:58):
So it's a clear record.
It's different, cool.
Like you know, I don't have it,so then I was like that's cool
then.
Should I email them that theysent me the wrong one, or is
this better than the other one?
Lano (41:11):
Is this worth more or more
expensive than the other one.
Yeah Well, how did they messthat up?
Rick (41:17):
I don't know, some guy
just grabbed the wrong one.
Mig (41:19):
They're all high dude.
What do you expect?
Lano (41:22):
So then, well, you better
order it.
Just keep that one in, yeah.
Rick (41:29):
So then I was like, oh man
, you better order it before you
run out.
So then my wife's like well, which one did you want?
And I was like, well, I reallywanted the other one, but this
one's clear and I already got it, so it's cool.
So I was like, all right, letme just email them.
So then I took pictures.
I was like I ordered this, thisis my receipt.
But you guys, I got you and Iwas just like that's it An email
(41:54):
.
I got you.
Three days later then I got ashipping confirmation that the
new one was sent.
Lano (42:00):
Did you?
Rick (42:01):
get it.
So this is the.
Lano (42:03):
This fucking guy.
Rick (42:06):
Julian Torres.
So you got a free Snoop record, free Snoop, free clear Snoop.
That they gave me Snoop Doggalbum.
And you know what I Like aboutrecords.
I like reading the the writersof the song Producido por Fred.
Fred Rick, you don't get thatno more, where you see like who
(42:26):
wrote the song, who did thelyrics, what are the samples?
Mig (42:29):
No, that was the whole
thing about when we were kids,
dude.
We'd go out and buy ourcassettes and you pull those
sleeves out and you would hopethat it wasn't just like one
little flimsy right cover.
You know, you wanted those onesthat, that unfold.
You know a little booklet soit's a mariachi album.
Rick (42:47):
It has death row on the
cover these aren't even the
songs.
Lano (42:50):
These are the guys that
are on the.
They wrote it.
Yeah, on the mariachi.
Rick (42:54):
So then I I opened it up
and I started looking at it and
tell me, if like, open it up,open it, take it out.
Tell me if, um, what you noticeabout it there's a dead rogue
guy on it no, no, no, there'snothing cause I I did all this
research looking it up there's,there's a part on the record
(43:15):
they call it dead wax.
That's like where there's noLike grooves In the middle yeah,
in the middle, and you seethere's Like someone Engraved
something on there.
You see it.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
Yeah.
Rick (43:25):
What does it say?
Mig (43:30):
So this is on the.
That's the truth about theTupac shooting the.
Rick (43:35):
What did I say?
They call it?
They call it the dead wax.
That's Tupac's killer.
Lano (43:39):
That's Tupac's killer,
julian Torres.
Rick (43:43):
He signed it.
You think he signed it Likewith an engraver, or yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:48):
Yeah.
And then it says DR like 001.
Rick (43:50):
Let me flip it over.
What's this one?
It says like DR 001.
So I was like I wonder how manyuh dr zero is that number one
and then like look at the otherside, so he has a light and he's
(44:15):
shining on the wax, oh yeah.
Mig (44:18):
Yeah, they probably just
did that to shut you up.
Rick (44:20):
What does it say?
Mig (44:23):
Probably some secretary
that did that.
Rick (44:25):
Well, it's not like a
smooth signature.
Lano (44:28):
Nah, this is 16 Foe 0016
Dr.
Dr I thought DR was death row.
Rick (44:37):
Oh yeah, death row, it's
0016.
Dr, dr.
I thought DR was death row.
Lano (44:41):
Oh yeah, death row.
This is 0016, fool.
Rick (44:43):
I thought it said 0016.
You don't got one.
What's it say on the?
It says something else.
Lano (44:48):
No, it doesn't.
That's it.
There's nothing else on here.
Oh yeah, my nigga no.
Speaker 4 (44:54):
What does it say?
There's nothing else on here.
Oh yeah, my nigga no.
Lano (44:57):
What does that say?
Rick (45:03):
He's looking through the
record for our audio listeners.
Lano (45:11):
It's hard to see dude.
Rick (45:14):
What does it say?
The audience is on suspenseright now.
It's shining a light, it'sreflecting.
Well, give it a makey dude Ifyou can't see it.
Lano (45:39):
My.
That's it, my, my Sharonathere's a lot of.
M's in there dude.
Rick (45:48):
No.
Lano (45:49):
No, mames way.
Rick (45:50):
Yeah, it says.
Lano (45:53):
It says no, mames way, get
out of here.
It says no, mames way, get outof here.
Rick (45:59):
It says no mames way yeah,
so I was just like I kind of
want to buy another one To seeif the other one has all that
stuff on it, or is that like Buyit?
They wrote it, buy it.
Lano (46:07):
And let me have it.
Rick (46:12):
Up here, there's like oh
my glasses fool.
There's like a A signatureright here.
Those fool.
There's like a signature righthere.
Lano (46:17):
Those glasses aren't going
to do nothing for you.
That's pretty cool.
How many songs are on there?
Only six, six, oh shit, that'ssmall.
Three on each side.
Do you see his name?
Rick (46:30):
Julian Torres.
Lano (46:31):
Julian Torres, and then it
says DR0016.
Mig (46:37):
I can see the mark.
Yeah, you know what?
Lano (46:39):
You should show her
another one and see if he does
different messages on there, like a different message or a
different number.
Yeah, it's got to be adifferent number because it's
probably a different album.
That means, up until you boughtone, he's only sold 16 vinyls,
bro.
Rick (46:56):
That means up until you
bought one.
He's only sold 16 vinyls, bro.
So then I looked up where Ibought it and it said like first
100 will be signed.
Oh, there you go.
That's his signature, I thoughtthat was pretty cool for the
first.
Now this album.
(47:18):
It's a little like cheaper interms of quality, like the, the
weight and stuff.
It's like a little more flimsyand and the the circle's not
like lined up properly, as theother one is a clear one, but,
um, I just thought that was kindof cool all right, I'm about to
check them out.
Lano (47:30):
Actually, the big surprise
for next week we can't play
music it says DR001, I don'tknow where you get the 16 DR0016
and then A for side A and thenDR00 B.
Rick (47:50):
It's a line with 001A yeah
.
Then the second one is B forside B.
Were you on the waiting listfor that thing?
001a, yeah.
Then the second one is B forSide B.
Were you on the waiting listfor that thing?
No, it took like well.
First they sent me the wrongone, then it took like 10 days
after that, but I just thoughtthat was kind of cool.
So I bought another Death Rowbecause I was like I heard him
(48:10):
say that this was the firstalbum on the new Death Row
coming out.
So I bought the Dog Pound newalbum and it has nothing like
that, no DRs or nothing.
So that other one is acollector.
Lano (48:29):
I'm worried.
You've heard that already.
Yeah.
Rick (48:32):
There's a few good ones.
There's a few good ones, see, Idon't know.
Yeah, there's a few good ones, there's a few good ones.
Speaker 4 (48:39):
See.
Rick (48:39):
I don't know, I wouldn't
be afraid to listen to new DPG
man.
So these are some records Ibought, but that was the story I
wanted to tell you about therecords, man, you just have to
pick and choose the ones youlike.
Mig (48:52):
It's like any album.
Rick (48:54):
On pre-order.
I got the new Dr Dre and Snoopcoming.
That's coming on the 13th whenthe album gets released.
But that one I'm waiting forand then I think that's gonna be
a wash.
You think so.
I'm hoping not.
Lano (49:12):
And then those who's got
their Fucking nose so far up
their ass, and then those who'sgot their fucking nose so far up
their ass.
Rick (49:22):
Nah, it's just and then I
I try to order it's not the same
.
I try to order the Kendrick one, the new one that came out the
GNX yeah and it says sold outshipping March, march 1st.
The album comes out March 1st,the vinyl, but that's one I want
to get yeah, how many inhalesdo you got dude dude, not
(49:46):
everybody makes vinyl.
I've been searching, likelooking for all my my vinyls,
like to see like which classicsI want to get and not everybody
has like a vinyl hey, look up,look up Mayor Hawthorne's first
album, see how much it is oneBay.
Lano (50:02):
Or just put in Mayor
Hawthorne's first album on vinyl
.
Let's see what it says.
Mig (50:11):
Debut album.
Lano (50:17):
Debut vinyl.
Debut vinyl.
Let's see what we got.
This is a hard one $16.
Speaker 4 (50:21):
$16?
.
Lano (50:22):
That's not bad, I can
afford that.
I can afford that.
But brand new, brand new Isthat brand new?
Mig (50:35):
That's probably Strange,
strange arrangements how does
that shit play though?
Rick (50:41):
just so there's a little
circle, oh yeah I mean there's a
little circle in the middle, but that thing will be hitting
my, my record player not gonnahave that many songs, huh yeah,
yeah.
Lano (50:53):
Well, look at, look at the
record player he has right
there, see.
Rick (50:57):
Where this?
Lano (50:58):
one Right there in the
middle oh, how's it playing?
I get, I get it like oh yeah,it's short.
Rick (51:05):
It's short, like it's
Cause it's a label and then it's
a donut around it.
But that.
Speaker 4 (51:11):
I mean that that's
kind of cool.
Right.
Rick (51:15):
I mean, look, he has one
that's Party one colored vinyl,
rare red, 240.
See.
Lano (51:24):
Nah, those are probably
already like.
Rick (51:26):
I don't know how many
reprints Reprints, but you got
to.
Lano (51:30):
I bet you those first
printed ones.
Rick (51:34):
Which one was it?
It's called Just Ain't GonnaWork Out.
Lano (51:44):
The one with Snoop Dogg.
Rick (51:46):
Oh no, no, I was just
looking.
What the name of it.
Lano (51:54):
Well, since we're talking
about collectibles, On the topic
of collectibles.
We got a surprise.
Mig (52:02):
So being the resident card
collector that I am, and
degenerate.
Lano (52:08):
We've been promising them
this thing for a while.
Mig (52:12):
I've been telling these
guys that right now baseball is
pretty hot In the collectingCard collecting Hobby,
especially with the Topps Chrome, the Topps Chrome update.
You know, sorry, thank you andum.
So right now With the ToppsChrome update they got all these
(52:37):
hot rookies that are in the2024 class and there's about
like six of them.
You know that people arechasing.
You know, in their brilliantmarketing scheme they had these
(53:12):
players on their the day thatthey debuted in the MLB.
They had them wear a patch ontheir jerseys that just said a
debut and it has like a logo, and they kept that jersey, cut
out that patch and made a cardout of it, and so they decided
to insert it into this ToppsChrome update product, which
inflated the price on it likecrazy.
(53:33):
Because the top rookie that youwant to collect in 2024 is a
pitcher for the Pirates calledPaul Skeens.
And to me that's so odd becausepitchers typically in the card
collecting world don't reallygarner that much value.
(53:55):
They don't move the needle.
No, some reason this guy does.
And lono brought up a goodpoint.
It's like uh, the last pitcherI remember moving the needle
like this is that uh, stevenstrasburg.
Uh, for washington.
Yep, you know, so I'm guessingthis is the same similar type of
(54:16):
talent.
You know, so Tops jumped on it,you know.
And there's a bunch of othergood players too, like Ali De La
Cruz.
I've seen him play with theReds dude.
And this guy, he's an absolutestud dude.
I mean this guy incredible.
Rick (54:32):
He's like super fast too,
right?
Yeah, I mean, he's fast, he'stall, he's like super fast.
Mig (54:34):
Yeah, I mean he's fast,
he's tall, he's powerful, you
know, and just yeah, he's like anatural yeah, he's, he's hit.
You know he's gonna be aroundfor a while, I think, and the
next mookie bets or better, probably better, better, oh and
um.
You know.
There's other ones like um,like for the padres and the
(54:54):
brewers, and you know there's ajackson merrill.
There's other ones, like forthe Padres and the Brewers, and
you know there's a JacksonMerrill.
There's a Jackson Holiday forthe Orioles, you know, and then
there's a Jackson Churrio, youknow, just to name a few.
But the thing with the PaulSkeen's rookie card is that the
(55:15):
Pirates have decided to put abounty on this card.
You know they want it.
So what they're offering is,whoever pulls the card, they're
offering them two season seatstickets behind home plate For
the next 30 years, damn.
(55:37):
Plus like Meeting greets andother events and other
merchandise and all kinds ofStuff.
I would just say I'm with youman, I would just say why, mark?
Lano (55:53):
why aren't you with me?
I would just say just totalWith.
Why aren't you with me?
I would just say Just totalWith all that Just work and just
give me the money.
Mig (55:59):
But I mean, they're
assuming that A Pirates fan is
gonna pull the card.
Rick (56:03):
Well, I mean the whole.
Thing.
Lano (56:04):
What if it's set up for
that?
Wow, what if, wherever they put, they pack this card by region
and they ship it out, and theyship it off only to Pennsylvania
.
Mig (56:14):
How random is that, though
I mean the boxes do come marked,
they come stamped, so I'm surethere's some kind of tracking.
Lano (56:23):
But I bet you.
Look, there's got to be odds onwhat state pulls that card.
I mean regardless, dude, regardless what state pulls?
Mig (56:35):
that card.
I mean regardless, dude,regardless.
Topps Chrome has always been myfavorite to collect, especially
back in the day when Topps hadthe football licensing and they
did football.
I absolutely loved buying ToppsChrome and if you go and you
(57:02):
look at my old collections andeverything that's, that's like
the majority of what I havethere.
That or, uh, upper deck, likethe sp, sp, uh, I love the
products, you know.
So I love tops and I lovedupper deck and, um, you know,
upper deck kind of like wentaway, you know.
But, um, since we've beenpromising you drifters that
we're going to do a break, ripsome wax, do a break, we decided
to jump in on the craze.
Rick (57:24):
On the craze.
Skinny's what's their skinny's?
Mig (57:26):
Paul Skeen's, skeen's.
I'm going to go buy us a box ofTopps Chrome tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (57:32):
Mm-hmm.
Mig (57:34):
And we will rip it next
week.
Lano (57:36):
Next week on the show.
Mig (57:38):
On the show.
Well, hopefully next week, hopefully Rick's not tied up
with work or something.
Lano (57:43):
Nah, I'll do the same
thing like I did today, but
we're definitely going to do itwith all three of us.
Mig (57:47):
We're not going to do it
just me and Lionel, or just Rick
and Lionel.
Lano (57:50):
It's going to be the three
of us.
We got the money in the potalready.
So it's the done deal.
Mick's going to get the boxtomorrow.
Mig (57:57):
It's going to be hard for
me to be looking at that box all
week long.
Lano (58:00):
We're going to have to set
up a small table here somewhere
with the camera looking down on.
So the box?
How much comes in the box?
Mig (58:09):
The box comes.
I believe it's 24 packs maybe,or 18 packs with four cards per
pack.
Lano (58:19):
Oh, okay.
Mig (58:20):
Yeah, and I'll bring in all
the stuff I'll bring, like the
soft sleeves and the loaders andeverything, so that way,
anything good that comes out, you're able to sleeve it up
right away.
I know, because it has a lot ofreally nice stuff in it.
Even if you don't pull the bigcard, there's still a lot of
(58:41):
really good stuff that can comeout of it.
Lano (58:44):
All right.
So next week, what's going tobe the sponsor?
Next week, who's sponsoring?
Rick (58:51):
Like pickup food or what.
Yeah, something messy to getall over the cards.
Dino's.
Lano (58:59):
I want to try the chili
fries from Dino's.
From Dino's.
Speaker 4 (59:02):
Dino's.
Lano (59:04):
So you guys pick what you
want, Then when I'm coming in
I'll pick it up.
Mig (59:08):
Dino's.
I don't know if you've seen,but Dino's actually has like a
big variety.
They got like, not like.
Rick (59:13):
They got like, not like
pastrami they got like the carne
asada.
Mig (59:17):
No, they got the mob fries.
I want chili cheese fries, whenthey do the chili cheese, they
put pastrami, they put asada, they put like chicken tenders on
it and everything no we need totaste the chili cheese fries.
Rick (59:30):
All right.
Lano (59:32):
So I'm getting just chili
cheese fries.
You guys get what you want.
I want to test out just the,the core of the challenge.
Rick (59:40):
Chili cheese fries.
That's what I'm going to getAbout this Shohei card you got
with the sun.
What On the screen?
On the screen.
Mig (59:48):
That's another really good
product that they put out.
You have that card, mate.
Yeah, that one's called.
Topso Chrome.
Lano (59:56):
Cosmic.
Can we say how much it's worth?
Or you really not say so?
People don't know where you'reat.
Mig (01:00:03):
Right now raw.
I think that card's worth about$150.
$150.
Lano (01:00:09):
Isn't this crazy?
When you used to buy theBeckett's for the baseball cards
yeah, the Cadillac I used toget all fucking hype when my
card yeah, I used to buy theBeckett's.
Rick (01:00:15):
For the baseball cards?
Lano (01:00:16):
Yeah, I used to get all I
used to get all.
Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
Fucking hype when.
Lano (01:00:18):
My cards.
I would get hype when One of mycards Reached a dollar.
Yeah, I was like oh man, thiscard's a dollar fifty, I
remember.
Mig (01:00:27):
I remember always looking
At the Beckett and cause
remember we had those.
Well, I had the score.
Yeah, those dream Team inserts.
Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
Those where it had
those portraits on it.
Mig (01:00:39):
Yeah, and the Barry Sanders
one was the best one to have.
Lano (01:00:42):
Yeah, and I couldn't tell
if Well, every Beckett, every
Beckett that came out you wouldlook at the value and see where
it's at.
Mig (01:00:48):
Yeah, so they still have a
Beckett.
Oh man, it's going down.
Yeah, they still got them.
Lano (01:00:53):
It.
They still got them, it's likeit's going down.
Rick (01:00:56):
What the fuck?
Yeah?
Now this Shohei one, miggy, says depending on the planet
behind them, the further theplanet, the more valuable it is.
Mig (01:01:04):
Yeah, so it's like a short
print set, you know.
Rick (01:01:08):
That's the sun, that's the
closest one.
Yeah.
Mig (01:01:10):
So the further away you get
from the sun, the shorter, like
the harder and more valuablecard it is.
I guess it's more rare, I guessit's more rare Less prenatal or
something yeah.
So, they're pulling all thetricks.
Yeah, not bad.
They're smart, though, man.
Not bad, I mean.
And the thing is, it's prettyhard to pull one of those
(01:01:31):
planetary ones, and for me topull a Shohei, that show was
pretty big.
I was pretty excited when I sawthat we're on air right now.
Rick (01:01:43):
If we get that skinnies or
skins, we sell it right.
Mig (01:01:47):
Oh yeah, hell yeah.
Rick (01:01:48):
We take the Pirates deal
or we sell it our own.
Lano (01:01:51):
We try to sell it on our
own when the higher bid is.
Rick (01:01:54):
Because he could break his
arm tomorrow and then it goes
down, so we just got to get ridof it Wherever the higher bid is
.
Mig (01:01:59):
And, believe me, I'm the
king of holding onto cards for
too long, to where they becomeworthless, and that could have
made good money Wherever thehigher bid is With the money we
gave you, how many boxes can youget?
Rick (01:02:12):
One?
All right, because I want youto just get me one.
I don't want you to be like oh,I bought a box for myself and
then a box for the group, butthen all of a sudden your box
has more.
Mig (01:02:20):
You're getting one box and
I'm opening it Just because
you're talking your stupid shit,dude, and you're, you're damn
insulting my integrity here Nowwe have to pick a box.
Now I am going to buy a bunchof boxes and I'm going to open
the boxes and hopefully I pullsomething good and I'm going to
say, all right, here's our box.
Oh man, I bet you're the kindof asshole that goes in the
(01:02:44):
lottery pool.
Lano (01:02:45):
I got a whistle because I
don't know how to do a cricket
sound.
Mig (01:02:48):
You go buy the tickets for
the office pool and then you buy
your own ticket on Jerk.
Lano (01:02:54):
No, I um.
Yeah, you've done some scummythings Before dude.
Rick (01:02:59):
Like when I would do the
the lotto, like the 20 bucks or
whatever, I'd always buy likeanother 20 For me on the side.
Yeah, of course, cause you're adick.
Lano (01:03:06):
See, I just can't believe
it bro.
Mig (01:03:10):
Another thing I might do
when we're ripping, I'll
probably put it on my phone andwe'll go live on Instagram.
Yeah, I know let's do it, solisten out.
Next Tuesday it's got to go out.
Yeah, so listen, so people seeit.
Look out.
On Tuesday night Might do alive rip on Instagram On the
drifting site.
(01:03:31):
That'll be cool.
Yeah, I know we're going to doit Up until then keep drifting,
yo and Miggie is hot right now.
Rick (01:03:38):
He's winning.
We didn't talk about it.
Yeah, he's strong as well.
Mig (01:03:44):
No, mommies, wait, god save
the queen.
