Mig (00:12):
Welcome back to the
Drifting on the Arroyo Podcast.
This is Mig, This is Lano, andno RK67 Working, working,
working.
Lano (00:28):
You talk to him a lot Like
I want, does he?
Is he choosing Tuesday nightswhen we record to work?
Or it's random, he gets themand then Nah cause he takes them
all night off.
Mig (00:39):
I mean, even even before he
, um, he started his company, he
would Always get screwed andhave to work like the night
shifts and like have to work inthese buildings, you know Cause
the only times he can get workdone Is at night, so he doesn't
bother the the clients, right, you know so.
Lano (01:01):
Cause I thought he only
did like new, New plumbing.
So it's like add-ons or no?
Well, I?
Mig (01:06):
mean if it's places that
he's worked on you know it's
like you have trouble with.
You know like with sinks ortoilets or urinals, you know
just stuff like that, you knowthat's what he'll work on.
Or if there's, like you know, problem with the Some of the
(01:27):
drainage or something.
You know it's like stuff likethat.
Right you know, that's what hegoes in there and does on those
buildings that already haveeverything done, you know so
it's work man.
But right now I think it's workman, but right now I think it's
(01:48):
Netflix.
Oh, it's the same building, Ithink so.
Lano (01:52):
Because that's the one he
was working on nights that whole
month or whatever.
Mig (01:55):
Yeah, I think they still
got him going back sometimes and
doing stuff.
Lano (02:05):
Well, so we got the two of
us and I were trying to keep.
We'll start a streak.
Mig (02:09):
Streak will be three
episodes next week yeah, we were
almost going to call off, butwe don't want to hear from Mark.
I know we're just trying tomake it through summer it's
supposed to be hot this week.
Lano (02:19):
It's supposed to be the.
I think the hottest day ofsummer is coming up, either
tomorrow or Thursday when thisair, when this airs on broadcast
.
Mig (02:27):
So if this show is crap and
you guys don't approve, blame
it on Mark, because we couldhave gone without it.
Lano (02:34):
And then I got to
apologize, for last week's show
was only audio only because weforgot to hit record on Mick's
camera.
So no way for me to um editthat out.
So I was like I was trying tothink, if I just put like a
picture on this pretty mug yeahI was like if we just put his
face up there when he talks.
(02:55):
But then I was like I don't wantto do another show like when we
had the.
Um, the copyright from themusic, what you should, what you
should separate music, what youshould.
Mig (03:03):
Then we just got in the
bear from the logo and every
time I spoke, just put the bearfrom the logo up on.
Lano (03:07):
On the screen.
That's what I was thinking Of,doing something like that.
But then I was like it's gonnabe a lot of work and that day we
, we finished recording late.
We finished recording late.
Mig (03:16):
I was going on vacation the
next day, so then I was just
like oh, that's, if you wantthis show to take off, put in
the work.
Lano (03:30):
Me, put the work in you
guys.
Man, you're the producer, it'syour show.
I gotta figure out how to edit.
I'm just telling Edit on theroad.
Mig (03:40):
I'm just here to make
people laugh.
Lano (03:44):
That's all I'm here for we
had a couple, um well one one
holiday last week, right fourthof july, july, and then you guys
had a family event happybirthday america, america,
anything um, what'd you do?
Mig (03:59):
um, I didn't do much for
the July Cause.
Um, this year was kind of anodd year, um, only cause my
brother, my older brother, hisyoungest daughter, which is mine
and Rick's Were co-godfathersTo her.
I don't know why mysister-in-law did that.
(04:22):
I guess she didn't want us tohave like hurt feelings.
Lano (04:24):
But there is no Madrina.
Mig (04:26):
Yeah, oh, there is our
cousin.
Christie is okay, Okay, but um,I guess she she didn't want us
to get feelings.
You know that her last kid wasgoing to have either one or the
other of us be the godfather, which would have been fine, you
know, nobody would have beenbutthurt or anything, but
because you're still always anuncle.
Lano (04:45):
Yeah, you're always gonna
be an uncle.
Mig (04:47):
So that's whatever.
It's cool, but um herbirthday's uh june 27th and uh
so she turned 15 this year, soher quinceanera.
Who is this?
Lily Liana.
Lano (05:04):
Oh man, I just remember
her being a baby all the time.
Mig (05:09):
And her party was planned
for the day after Fourth of July
.
Lano (05:17):
Okay.
Mig (05:18):
So the plans for Fourth of
July kind of got messed up, you
know, since it was going to bethat Friday, fourth of July is
the Saturday, right?
Yeah, know the.
No, her party was gonna be onsaturday.
Fourth of july was friday, oh,uh-huh.
So you know, nobody from mybrother's kids and all them, you
know they weren't gonna comedown.
(05:38):
You know, because they have, obviously they have all the prep
and everything to do,decorations and everything you
know.
And then you know my mom anddad.
They didn't want to go becausethey're getting older, they
don't like being outside anymoreIn the cold and all that stuff,
are they?
Lano (05:55):
scared of immigration
getting them.
Mig (05:57):
No, they're citizens.
And then I didn't go because Iwas afraid of the immigration
and this is.
Lano (06:07):
This is uh.
We're in la and they're in sanbernardino, right alhambra.
Mig (06:11):
Yeah, my brother, my
brother's, in alhambra, okay,
but, um, where we usually go tomy sister's house or with my
nephews and, um, mybrother-in-law, they're in
alhambra, that's.
That was tradition where wealways go every fourth of july.
Um, yeah, I didn't go because,um, it's always a pain taking
(06:32):
the dog and well, yeah, tryingto keep them calm, you know.
So I figured, this year, sinceeverything was kind of messed up
, I figured, okay, this yearI'll stay home with them and see
how he does at home, you know, and see how bad the fireworks
are at home and this is nothing.
Lano (06:49):
No, tranquilizers, no,
yeah, no like pills or which dbd
or anything yeah, which turnsout in the neighborhood.
Mig (06:56):
It wasn't that bad, that's
all I was gonna bring up.
Yeah, it wasn't that bad, dude,so I could have just left them
at home with the TV on reallyloud.
Lano (07:05):
Like our street was
nothing going on.
Mig (07:07):
Yeah, I mean I could have
just gone and enjoyed myself
over there, you know, and had agood time, you know, and left
them there with the TV on loudand he would have been cool, you
know, because it wasn't crazylike it was, was maybe what,
like five years ago so normallyit's like a war zone right the
(07:32):
street.
Lano (07:32):
Oh, it's been crazy
fireworks going on everywhere,
smoke everywhere, and um, likewe avoid it, like we always, we
go to my mother-in-law's house, which is um city of walnut,
which is about 20 miles away, but um, and then the, the dogs
are the same reason.
We had, um, my wife had a dogthat we would like, you know,
get out of town during thefourth.
(07:53):
But we came home and and um, Iwas like maybe 9 30, you know,
get start 8, 45, like 9 30, youwould think it would be peak.
I mean, on the freeway we sawthe fireworks, yeah, but the,
the, our street, the royal, likeit was like empty yeah, I was
(08:14):
all surprised dude, I was reallysurprised and does that make
you like a little sad?
I mean, it was not easier thanus, but like there's, that means
there's no kids on the streets,no families or they all went
somewhere.
Mig (08:28):
Yeah, I don't know if they
all went somewhere or not.
I mean, I don't know.
Lano (08:31):
Because I was kind of
disappointed.
I was like, oh, there's nothinghere.
And then I started thinkingabout I mean, my girls are young
, so they get like the loudbooms and stuff.
Like scares them when they gethome.
But I was just like oh man, but.
Mig (08:42):
I was just like, oh man, I
was actually glad Because now I
can leave the dog at home, youknow for next year.
So I was pretty proud, I waspretty happy about that.
I'm more sad when, like, halloween comes around.
And there's no kids walking upand down the street, dude.
Lano (08:56):
When everybody, the
streets are all lonely, that's
what I was gonna say, cause lastyear we had a really low like
Halloween when, like I think myparents said, like Maybe one
family of kids Shit last year, man, that's been like the past
decade, dude.
Well, it's been getting lessand less, but I feel like last
year nobody came walking.
I'm just wondering ourgeneration.
(09:17):
We have two schools nearby Meand you growing up, all the
brothers, all the neighbors, like we all had, like you know,
friends all along the street andand I don't know if there's
like a generation On this blocklike that, nah, like of kids.
Mig (09:33):
Like they're all getting.
Lano (09:34):
Bust in or or walking in.
But Even when I drive I try tosee like who who's my daughter
gonna play with Like in theneighborhood and I don't think.
Mig (09:44):
With their sister, yeah.
Lano (09:46):
I don't think there's any
Kids her age.
Mig (09:49):
Just I mean, it's not like
before, dude.
I mean I used to see a lot ofpeople walking, but now
everybody's driving in.
Lano (09:59):
Yeah, there's less walkers
, so that means like there's
less people on the street.
They're driving from, from adistance.
Mig (10:05):
Because people don't pay
attention.
Man People, I mean, I'm tellingyou, dude, phones and social
media have ruined societyCompletely, because everybody
has their faces buried in theirphones so much that they don't
(10:27):
pay attention to anything else.
It's like and you can see itanytime they driving around,
walking around whatever.
If you're walking around, dude,it's like it's rare that you
see anybody walking down thestreet without them looking down
at their phone.
Yeah, yeah, down the streetwithout them looking down at
(10:48):
their phone.
Yeah, yeah, you know.
And then you're driving and thatpisses you off too, because
everybody's always looking downat their phone.
You know, and you're just likecome on, man, it's like you're
supposed to be paying attentionwhat you're doing, you're
supposed to be driving.
It's like don't be looking downat your phone.
You know, and you can only tellyou know.
It's like you can see it infront of you.
You know, because you see theirheads down, or you can see it
(11:09):
in the rearview mirror.
You know, because their headsdown, right, you know, and I
said this as it came out.
It's like did this?
This is a downfall of society.
Right here is that this is nogood.
Lano (11:25):
And, like I think those
Like virtual reality, like
glasses, are cool, but that'sgoing to make it even worse when
people are going to be like Intheir rooms With glasses over
their eyes, like you know, seeing the world instead of
going outside.
I mean, they're already doingthat, but it's, I mean they're
already doing that, but it's, Imean they're doing it now, but
(11:48):
it's gonna get Like bigger, bigger in our era.
Mig (11:54):
They're already starting to
do that Since way before, like
with video games.
Lano (11:57):
True, true.
Mig (11:58):
You know so.
Too much advancement, too much, too much technology.
Man, it's like we look at someof these movies and some of them
Hit the nail on the head dude.
Lano (12:16):
Yeah.
Mig (12:17):
I always refer back to
Terminator man.
I mean, the machines are goingto take over.
You know, it's like Cyberdyneand they're just going to.
Lano (12:26):
Some people think um,
matrix is real, like we're in a
simulation.
I don't know about that, that'sanother podcast.
But some people think, um, sosorry, so we started talking
about fourth, but you're talkingabout and everything.
Mig (12:39):
No, well, to finish up on
the fourth.
I mean the fourth was coolbecause, you know, rick went
though and he posted some videoson our WhatsApp group chat that
we have within the family andit was cool.
It was funny because my nephewsyou know full pun intended
(13:04):
where they're the ones lightingup the fireworks now and taking
all the chances and getting allthe burns and the scars and
everything, taking all the risks, and it's just.
It was so funny to watch, man,it was just such a blast, you
know, and I'm glad Rick recordedit and he got it on film or
like he got it on video yeah, but um, yeah, it was cool
(13:31):
because before these kids, youknow they would be so terrified
to get near them and even, like, try to touch the fireworks, and
that's why me and rick werealways doing it, right, right,
and you know, just, it got tothe point to where these boys
got old enough, to where theystarted taking the risks, you
know, and we would be like, comeon, get in there.
You know, it's like quit beingsuch a wuss, you know, and it's
(13:55):
like, of course, all the womenwould be like, no, don't do it,
you know you're going to getburned.
I was like, so what?
Let Let them, man.
It's like they need to, theyneed to feel that pain, man.
I mean shit, it's all part ofgrowing up.
Like, let them grow up, letthem be men, let them have scars
and burns and shit to showlater on, man.
(14:16):
So I would have stories to tellafterwards.
Lano (14:22):
So you got to just let
them be men, you don't let them
be boys.
Mig (14:24):
And these were your
sister's boys, yeah, my sister's
boys, or yeah, my sister's boys, and and yeah they, they had a
blast, dude.
They were just like the nextday at the kitchen, you know,
they were all telling me theirstories and everything.
And at that time, yeah, dude, that's how my son on the video
man, that should look fun andthat's how they learned yeah so
now, from here on out, they'regonna be the firework masters,
(14:45):
so we don't got to worry aboutit anymore, man.
We just got to take our lawnchairs and just sit back and
relax and watch the shows, man.
Lano (14:52):
So the Roman torch was
passed.
Mig (14:55):
It was.
Lano (14:56):
It was.
They still saw that the Romantorch Like a firework.
That was the name of thefirework right Roman torch.
Mig (15:03):
Roman candles.
Roman candles, yeah, but thatwas the name of the firework,
right.
Lano (15:06):
Roman candles yeah, but
those are illegal here Now.
Uh, so the fireworks you guyshad were all legal, yeah, or a
pot on a hamburger, or whatever.
Mig (15:14):
We don't mess with the
illegal stuff anymore.
So everything's like not thatbig no but that's why we figured
um, we figured out to uh Putthem on ladders.
So we get different heightladders and put them on the
steps and everything, so theylook bigger than they actually
are.
And this was in Alhambra.
(15:37):
Yeah right in Alhambra, right infront on the street, and it
actually works.
Man, it's pretty cool.
You know, you buy those setsand then you buy like a few, a
few um separates, you know, likeadd-ons or something yeah, you
have to buy the spark.
Yeah, you, you ask them at those, um, those places where they
(15:58):
sound like which ones are cool, you know, which ones are popular
, which people buying, you knowwhich ones are good, you know.
And then, like you buy a coupleof them and then you want to
ask like which ones, like reallyBig, you know, because you want
one for like a finale Right.
So Then, like after you'resorting them and everything and
you try to figure out an orderTo light them up, and, yeah, you
(16:21):
know, you just start Settingthem up on the Steps of the
ladder and, like the better ones, you put them up on on the top
rung of the ladder and it turnsout pretty cool I remember um
one year growing up.
Lano (16:36):
Um, I mean I tell my wife
this story like chacho had some
fireworks and we're shootingthem, or they were launching
them like in front of your house, or yeah, I remember that.
Mig (16:42):
But um, I mean I'm assuming
they're illegal fireworks
because they're like like Chachohad some fireworks and we were
shooting them or they werelaunching them, like in front of
your house or their house.
Yeah, I remember that.
Lano (16:46):
But I mean, I'm assuming
they were illegal fireworks,
because they were like big onesbecause, like I remember, he had
like connect them to like a carbattery, like a launcher or
something like that, Like hepulled out like a battery out of
his truck and, and then thenthey would like fire up in there
, like it must have been, like alauncher or system, but I mean
the battery he took, he had touse his car battery to like set
(17:08):
them up.
But they're like the ones yousee.
The ones you see, like noweverybody has yeah like they
shoot up in the sky.
Mig (17:14):
You know, 30 feet or I
remember when we had those, uh,
those carton tubes with thosebig balls oh, it looked like
artillery balls and that's theway the real fireworks are With
the long fuse, yeah.
And we would set those up.
Those are like those bigfreaking bang ones, man.
Lano (17:35):
Yeah, they come out like
little, like you said, like
cannons and stuff.
Yeah, they pop to shoot them.
Mig (17:41):
Ah, but the most fun was
when we would buy those little
red fireworks man.
The little red packs, thoseChinese ones.
Lano (17:51):
And you would separate
them right.
Mig (17:52):
Yeah, separate them or Try
to go through them.
You buy a brick and then likethey're all tied together.
Three or four packs, you justthrow them like that, yeah.
Then when we had like a bunchof dirt, they're all tied
together, three or four packs, you just throw them like that,
just pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa,yeah.
Then when we had a bunch ofdirt hills everywhere, or dirt
patches everywhere you see wherethe red ants were- oh, drop
(18:14):
them in the hole.
Drop them in there and shit andsee them explode the ant hills.
Lano (18:19):
Because I remember we
would get Hot Wheels and put
them through the windows androll them.
Mig (18:22):
We were blowing up all Hot
wheels and put them like through
the windows.
Lano (18:24):
And like roll them and
they would pop or explode and
stuff.
Good times, man, good times.
And then I guess so Laura, mywife, she found some I don't
want to say cheap rooms, becauseshe corrected me, she was like
they weren't cheap rooms,affordable rooms.
For Since we took a trip toArizona we found out that the
(18:49):
kids love the Lazy River, theylove to just float around, both
of them, we got all thesepictures.
What part of Arizona.
We went to Sedona and then wewent to Scottsdale.
That's where the Lazy River was.
So Laura's been on this likelazy river trip ever since.
(19:09):
So she's looking all thelocally lazy rivers and so we
found one in um indian wells, which is the palm springs palm
desert area over there.
So then, um, it was a grandhyatt and they had a lazy river.
So then she's like, oh, there'ssome affordable rooms, but it
was was from Wednesday to Friday, like before the holiday.
Check out Friday and then therooms like double for the 4th of
(19:31):
July weekend.
Mig (19:32):
You know, the Harrah's in
San Diego has a Lazy River.
Lano (19:36):
Oh, do they?
Yeah, oh, I mean we'll put thaton their list because we like
to go to San Diego too.
Harrah, is that?
It's a casino?
It's a casino, yeah, oh, okay, well, we'll check it out.
So, um, we got the rooms, um, Iwas off friday for the holiday,
which is which was on my normalday.
Also, I had the thursday andthe friday off, so we're like
(19:57):
wednesday we're gonna driveafter work to palm desert.
So we drove after work, we gotthere, um, jumped in the lazy
river.
The next day, all day day, lazyRiver, and then, before we
checked out, we did the LazyRiver again.
Then we came home.
So we left Friday, like youknow, around noon we stopped at
the outlets and checked out.
The 4th of.
July sales.
And then we got to mymother-in-law's house around it
(20:21):
was like around 3.30, 4 o'clock, which was nice because they
were planning a barbecue and awater balloon fight because it
was going to be a hot day.
So I kind of knew as soon as wegot there they're going to be
waiting for us.
So as soon as we startedparking, you see people poking
their heads out around the sideof the house and they all got
their water balloons and supersoaker squirt guns.
(20:44):
They all got them ready.
So as soon as we get out of thecar they're, like you know,
bombing us, launching us.
So then we take it to the back.
You know we have like waterballoon toss and all the water
stuff.
We had the barbecue and then weall, like you know, we left,
came home at nine o'clock andlike we're seeing all the, we're
showing the kids the fireworkson the 10 freeway home, showing
(21:04):
the kids the fireworks on the 10freeway home, all the parks.
But then when we got to, likethey said, the neighborhood the
neighborhood was just like empty, yeah.
So then, um, the kids were likeyou know, they're already wiped
out from the the water balloonstuff and and visiting the
vacation and visiting theircousins and everything.
So they just knocked out.
And then, um saturday andsunday, like we were just like
just vacation mode, justchilling, you know, getting
stuff done.
But, um, but how was thatquinceanera?
(21:24):
Quinceanera was good dude, wasit at a hall?
Mig (21:28):
Yeah it was at a hall.
It was fun, man, good DJ man,he played a lot of good music.
Lano (21:33):
And that was in San
Bernardino.
San Bernardino, everybody madeit out there too.
Mig (21:38):
Yeah, all the family.
You know A lot of the family.
All the family did so she's theyoungest though the youngest
one, dude, the last one.
Lano (21:48):
I can't even imagine what
she looks like.
I just remember her being ababy.
Mig (21:50):
The last quinceanera.
Lano (21:51):
I just remember her being
a baby.
Who was the chambalon.
Mig (21:57):
There was no chambalon.
Lano (21:58):
Okay.
Mig (22:00):
Yeah, it was just her and
her padrinos.
Lano (22:08):
Now, you and Ricky being
the padrinos, was there like a
big dance, Because I remember Iwent to I think it was Ceci's
Quinceañera where Ricky did thisbig dance.
Mig (22:18):
Yeah.
Lano (22:19):
Did anything like that
happen again?
You guys have tape of thatdance.
Mig (22:23):
It wasn't anything like
like choreographed or
choreographed like that, but wedid have a dance because I
remember ricky put on some bigold show yeah well, you know,
like costume props and you knowhe did, I think, a whole like
risky business or something yeah, the thing, the thing with lily
is that she's like she's reallyshy, so she just kind of like
wanted the, the whole dance part, waltz and everything to like
(22:46):
Just be done with quick.
So yeah, so she didn't want, soshe had the.
You know the Like publicspeaking stuff like the public
yeah so she just had like thefather daughter dance, the
mother Daughter dance.
You know the, the intro dance, you know where, where we walk
her in and she dances witheverybody.
Lano (23:08):
Her court was pretty much
her family and her Cousins,
everybody, no, no, well, justher siblings.
That's a big family.
Mig (23:17):
And us, you know, the
padrinos.
So once we got that done, thatwas it, you know.
And then just DJ the rest ofthe night.
Catered food, or you guys Madefood yeah, catered food, and the
food was really good too.
What was it?
Yeah, it was a choice of eitherBeauty or chicken.
Lano (23:34):
Oh, okay, yeah, it was
pretty good Now me having two
daughters.
This is something Lily wanted.
Mig (23:43):
Like this tradition.
Lano (23:44):
We have to have the
quinceanera, or was it the
family?
Mig (23:47):
pushing it.
No, no, no, no, because I hadasked her, you know, because the
exact same question I have, youknow, I was like Is it
something that she wants or isit just something that they're
pushing, just because they'resaying it's tradition, right,
you know?
And I had asked her and she waslike she was excited for it.
Okay, so it was something shewanted.
Lano (24:07):
And, more than anything,
it's just like a big birthday
party.
Yeah.
Mig (24:09):
For her, yeah, so she was
excited for it.
Lano (24:12):
Cause I'm just like
Curious my two daughters If
they're gonna Want all thatstuff Like a quinceanera or a
sweet sixteen, yeah cause.
Mig (24:20):
Cause they gave her an
option.
You know they told her, withthe money that's going to be
spent on the quinceanera, youknow you could either have the
quince or could be taking on anice trip like a really good
trip, you know.
So the choice was hers and shechose the quince.
Oh, that's nice.
Lano (24:39):
It's like, okay, I would
have took the trip, that's just
me you mentioned the yeah, thestory was.
Did you say it?
Mig (24:49):
yeah, nah the story.
The story involves, uh, mepossibly being nominated for
Sainthood.
Lano (25:02):
It happened at the church.
Mig (25:08):
Ah yeah, I'm a dumbass.
What happened?
So we're at the church, right, the whole ceremony happens and
everything.
We walk out.
It's a hot day.
My sister, you know, she hadleft early Saturday To start
Setting up and everything andshe told me to take a cooler
(25:29):
that she had packed with likedrinks and snacks and everything
.
But I had to stop by and getice and some other stuff that
she wanted me to take.
Lano (25:38):
And for everybody that
doesn't know, his sister is a
party planner, right?
Or a planner Does all thisstuff okay.
Mig (25:43):
So so I, he does know that
his sister is a party planner,
right, or a planner does allthis stuff.
Okay, so so I, you know, I hadthe cooler in my truck and
everything, and the other, theother part was, um, I was
supposed to meet everybody atthe hall, so they wanted me to
kind of like be the chauffeurand drop off Lily in front of
the church, you know.
(26:04):
So I was kind of like the limo.
Lano (26:06):
I guess yeah the driver.
Mig (26:08):
So you know I drove her
there, we got off and everything
made her entrance.
You know, the whole ceremonyhappened, came out and you know
it was a warm day.
It was warm, hot, you know, wewere all in suits and everything
, so I was kind of hot.
So I went and I went to thecooler, you know, and I felt the
(26:31):
water and it's still like itwasn't hot, you know, because in
the trunk, in the bed of mytruck.
So I went and I got some water.
Lano (26:38):
You have a cover.
Mig (26:40):
Yeah.
So, you know, it was still likeAt a decent temperature.
So I drank it, you know, and Iwas asking anybody else If they
wanted water, you know, and myaunt had asked me For water, you
know, and so I told her oh, letme go get you water, you know,
and I'll get you One out of thetrunk.
And she was like no, no, no,just give me.
(27:02):
Just give me your bottle, youknow, and I'll get some inside.
She says they're giving itinside, you know, and I guess I
didn't understand exactly whatshe said.
So she went inside, filled upthe bottle and at that point we
um, I thought I was going to bedriving her around To different
(27:24):
points To like go Take her toTake pictures and everything,
cause you always Go takepictures After the church, give
a sight, or something you know, yeah.
You know to like Take herKinship pictures.
But, um no, we just Went backto the hall.
So at that point, you knowcause I had Driven my mom, my
dad and and, uh, my aunt, whichis my dad's uh sister-in-law, to
(27:49):
the church or to the hall.
Uh-huh, and so we, we got splitup afterwards.
And so, since it was alreadylike um two o'clock after the
ceremony was done, you know, we,we split up again and I wasn't
hungry because I was smart and Ihad a big breakfast to make
(28:09):
sure, because I knew I wasn'tgoing to eat again until five or
six o'clock, right.
So at that point, you know, everybody was hungry.
So Rick took my mom, my dad andmy aunt in a aunt, in a
separate van and took them to goeat.
So my mom and my aunt, and allthem, put their stuff in my
(28:30):
truck and my aunt, you know, left her water in the cup holder
in the back seat.
So I get to the hall, you know, started unloading stuff out of
my truck, you know, startedhelping set up and everything.
And then, um, I forget what Igo to my truck for and, uh, I
(28:50):
see the bottle.
I see the bottle there and I'mlike, oh man, it's like and it's
like the, the coolers inside.
You know, at this point I hadalready gone to the liquor store
, dumped ice in and everything.
But I was like, let me just getthis bottle and drink it.
You know I'm thirsty already.
So I just got it, slammed it Tothe bottle, whatever, didn't
think about it.
So the whole night goes by.
(29:11):
You know we had a great time.
You know there's music playinggood and everything.
Everybody's dancing,everybody's drinking, having a
good time, and so we're goinghome.
You know it's already likeAlmost like 1 in the morning,
1.30 in the morning.
Lano (29:29):
And San Bernardino.
Yeah, and you're going to drivehome.
Mig (29:31):
We're driving home.
And so we're driving home andmy aunt, you know she tells me
in Spanish, she's like hey, miguelito, he goes Gracias mi
agua.
You knowito, did you throw awaymy water?
I was like, did you throw awaymy water?
And I was like no, I saw youdidn't drink it.
(29:52):
I saw you didn't drink it.
So when I was moving stuffaround and everything, I saw it
and I drank it because I gotthirsty.
And she was like no, mijo, eraagua bendita, it was holy water.
Then she had got it from church, dude, because they had a
(30:14):
container there.
They were letting people takeholy water if they had a
container.
I was like, oh man, I was likedude, are you kidding me?
I'm like I drank, was like dude, are you kidding me?
I'm like I drank that wholething of holy water.
I'm like, well, I don't knowyou said, your foot got healed.
Lano (30:30):
I don't know.
Mig (30:31):
This is way before, so I
don't know.
Man, when I say I'm blessedDude, I guess I am dude, I'm
like super blessed.
Lano (30:39):
Everyone was like laughing
.
Mig (30:41):
Yeah, dude.
So I was like, I was like andit's funny, because earlier,
when they were giving out thecommunion, you know, I didn't go
up Because I haven't been aconfessional forever and you
know you can't receive communionUnless you want a confession,
right but then Laura told meshe's like, well, go up there
(31:02):
and just get a blessing.
And I was like, nah, man, I'mnot going to go up there, you
know.
But then Laura told me she'slike, well, go up there and just
get a blessing.
And I was like, nah, man, I'mnot gonna go up there, you know,
it's like I end up drinking.
I end up drinking that bottleOf holy water.
Oh man, unbelievable dude, onlyme.
Lano (31:23):
I guess opposite side of
the spectrum of Holy Water, I
guess, because Ricky was teasingit.
Last week, I guess we got totalk about the P Diddy yeah, p
Diddy verdict.
What happened?
Mig (31:37):
Yeah, he got away with it,
man.
Lano (31:41):
No, I got to ask.
Mig (31:41):
Ricky, well, I mean.
Lano (31:43):
Because he was following
the trial, trial or whatever.
So he knows, but I guess thatthey didn't have a good case, I
guess, I guess they had a weakcase.
Mig (31:50):
I don't know, man, I mean I
didn't, I didn't really follow
it that much, but but there's nolist.
It's funny because you heardifferent things from different
people.
It's like some people weresaying that they had a strong
case, other people were sayingthat they didn't.
You know, and From what I kepton hearing, you know they just
(32:10):
said that the one ex girlfriendor whatever, yeah, he beat the
crap out of you know, it's likethat she was like the star
witness and all they had wasjust him Beating her up.
I'm like, well, that doesn'tprove shit, dude, I mean yeah, I
mean it proves that he's a jerkyou know, an asshole and
everything but but did she talk?
Lano (32:31):
I mean, she went up there
on the stand yeah she testified
because um I I why I heard thathe did not right, he didn't
testify, no, I don't think soand I don't know why, if you
have a strong case, why, um,they wouldn't like put the guy
up there like thecross-recruiter?
Mig (32:51):
Yeah, I don't know, man, I
didn't follow that case at all,
dude, so like I can't speak, andthat's the thing.
Lano (32:56):
Like I didn't follow it
either, so I didn't.
I mean you guys said likeracketeering, they got him or
they were trying to get him on,but what there was six counts.
Four of them were not guiltyand two of them were guilty, and
the two that were guilty he waswell like transportation for
(33:17):
prostitution or something likethat.
Right.
Mig (33:19):
I mean, the only thing I
could think of of that but they
couldn't prove it, is that CauseI was saying that the victims
or whatever wanted to be there, you know, is that that's who
Diddy was pimping out and havingthere and he was providing them
(33:39):
for the celebrities and likethe celebrities were paying for
that.
You know, like he was providingthem for the celebrities and
like the celebrities were payingfor that.
You know, like he was chargingthem kind of like a fee or
something.
Lano (33:50):
Well, that's what it was
kind of.
I mean, I was comparing it tothe Epstein, like he was
providing this.
But I don't know Life for Idon't know celebrities or
whatever to do, whatever theywant to do.
But even after after that, wedid get, like um, another news
announcement.
There was like there's no oldepstein list or there's nothing.
(34:11):
You couldn't find nothing aboutthat either, but somehow that
guy um, like you know he, he wasmurdered in jail or committed
suicide in jail and all thisother stuff.
But they had no list or no, Idon't know nothing.
I mean, they didn't have anylist to to bring down any
celebrities or or anybody else, and that's what that's like, the
(34:34):
juicy stuff of both cases youwant to know who was involved?
who did the what or whateverybody's like dark secrets
were?
Mig (34:41):
or fetishes, or whatever I
mean and and they say you know
that that they're just sayingthat because they're like
protect, they're protecting theadministration or whatever, but
it's like this previousadministration's dude, they
didn't do it.
Lano (34:57):
Who knows?
Mig (34:58):
what they pulled from those
files.
You know they're not there now.
You know they wereincriminating.
Lano (35:04):
You know for them and
their supporters and the
previous administration had thefiles longer yeah, the case is
longer so, but we, I mean theycould have done whatever they
wanted with those files and justleft, like whatever, behind.
Mig (35:24):
So it's, it's a bunch.
Lano (35:25):
I don't know um can't
trust anything what those people
do was this so like you justthink something's happened and
nothing happens?
It's just like notheartbreaking, but it's just
like, come on, like you thinkit's, it's so obvious, and then
nothing comes out of it.
Mig (35:43):
Yeah.
Lano (35:47):
I haven't seen that F1
movie, but everybody keeps
talking about it.
I am interested in seeing it.
Like are you?
Mig (35:53):
You know what's funny
though?
That, Rana, that you mentionedthat F1.
I was watching the YouTubevideo and we're talking about
Like Big flops so far, like ofmovies.
Lano (36:05):
Uh huh.
Mig (36:06):
And I think it's just Cause
people Like ever since COVID
Dude it's like movies justHaven't bounced back the way
they have before.
Lano (36:14):
Yeah.
Mig (36:15):
You know.
But they say that the movies, like, they get good ratings.
You know they get good reviews.
Lano (36:19):
Like good movies, but
they're not.
But they're just.
Mig (36:22):
Not bringing in the money.
You know that they're spendingand so they're calling them
flops, you know, and f1 was oneof them.
Oh, they're saying yeah.
Lano (36:30):
Well, just because they're
not bringing the money.
I heard it's good.
People say it's good.
No, they're saying they'resaying it's good, it's a really
good movie, but they're justsaying that it didn't bring in
the money that they thought itwas and a flop, I think, is
considered like if it makesearns less than what it costs to
make the movie, yeah, but likethey're not getting their money
back or like they break evenright.
Mig (36:48):
You know another one.
They said, um about that was uh, that ballerina, oh the the um
john wick one you know, they.
They said it was a good movie.
But I guess, uh, it didn't likedraw A big crowd, cause if it's
gonna be like A John Wickrelated movie, they wanna see
(37:10):
John Wick.
You know, not this chick, youknow, but Manuel saw it.
He said it was pretty good.
Lano (37:19):
Now I kinda feel like I
mean, I love going to the movies
.
I used to go every, everyweekend, no matter what was
playing.
Like you, you know, you findsomething to see, especially in
the summertime, yeah, but, likeyou said, after covid, like I
feel like everybody like well,we just got lazy to go out and
(37:42):
go and now, like our home tvsare like bigger than ever.
You know, like um, I mean, Idon't even have a big tv, but I
have like a, a 55 inch, butthat's like considered on the
smaller side now.
But, like you know, now there's70 screen, 70 inches, 80 inches
, isn't that a trip dude?
Mig (37:58):
that now that's like a
considered a small screen, yeah,
and people notice it likepeople that come over, they like
oh, you're like you're notgonna get a big tv.
Lano (38:02):
You know, it's like
considered a small screen, yeah,
and people notice it, likepeople that come over they're
like, oh, you're not going toget a big TV.
That's crazy.
I mean I can only go so muchBecause our couch is, like you
know, so close, yeah.
Mig (38:16):
I remember when I got my
first big screen I think it was
like a 45 inch or some shit likethat and it was like a rear
projection.
Lano (38:26):
So this thing the box
feels freaking huge Right, yeah.
Mig (38:29):
But the screen itself was
small.
Was thin and the box was likeMaybe like a foot and a half
deep, yeah, and then when when Ifinally got a flat screen Same
thing, you know, it was onlylike a 42 inch, you know and it
still seemed like it was huge, right.
Lano (38:44):
But then now, when they
start coming out with 80 inch
and 120 inch and freakingproject on the walls and shit,
oh man so that, and then likethe, the sound like um, now you,
you get like that dolby atmoswhich is, like you know, you get
all the rumbles, all the yeahit's flying behind you.
So and I think it's like youknow you get all the rumbles,
all the bullets flying behindyou, so and I think it's like
(39:07):
you know the movie's going tocome out, like you know, like a
few months, like streaming.
So people just wait like theywant to see it and then, like
they kind of blow up on thestreaming world because like
they're not paying to I mean, Iguess not paying to go, but I
don't know.
It's like what's the new?
Not millennials, what's the newgroup Gen Z?
Mig (39:27):
I think, um what are they?
Gen Alpha.
Lano (39:32):
Well, whatever the age is
that the kids are going to the
movies, whatever that generationlike they're saying I don't
know if they're more frugal, butthey're not spending their
money Like at movie theaters.
Like, cause I heard that thatgeneration doesn't tip anymore,
they don't do nothing.
So but like, if it's a kidmovie, like a pixar or like some
animation, then like I'll waitfor it to come out yeah, I'm
(39:54):
streaming to watch the kids, just because I mean the kids are
gonna go crazy and it's justmore comfortable.
But the big blockbuster is like.
I saw top Gun At my house.
I wish I would have saw Top Gun2 At the theater and then this
F1.
It's the same, the samedirector Of Top Gun 2.
Mig (40:13):
And all All I've heard is
that that thing Needs to be seen
on IMAX.
Lano (40:16):
That's.
That's what I told my wife.
I was like I want to just seethis and I it was.
Mig (40:20):
It was shot specifically
for imax to be seen on imax and
I have some family members.
Lano (40:26):
They went to see it and
they they said they loved it and
stuff and I was like I gotta, Igotta see it.
But it's just like the we gottafind a sitter for the kids and
all that stuff because they'renot gonna watch the movie.
But um, like what's?
I mean that was like a datenight.
Like you know, you go to movies, you take your girl or whatever
and you go like what are theyLike?
(40:49):
What are people dating?
Where are they going now?
Or what are they seeing, orwhat are they doing?
Mig (40:53):
I don't know, dude, you got
me on that.
Lano (40:57):
Because now I mean there's
no general.
They don't even want to likelike drive cars, they want to
like uber everywhere, take rides.
So I I hope it doesn't die inthe movie industry, like, but I
don't know, I mean I don't knowhow they're gonna fix it.
Like covid, just really likeyou know, food delivery just
made everything so much easier, just to do things at home, and
(41:18):
the tv is like you said I mean I, I don't.
Mig (41:20):
I don't think it's going to
die, dude, just that the the
theater experience might die,but the movie industry I don't
think will, because there'salways going to be streaming or
something right.
Lano (41:35):
Yeah.
Mig (41:37):
It's just.
I mean, it's just like theother day.
Um, what was it?
It was just like the other day, what was it?
I was explaining something tomy dad you know about, about
music, you know, trying toexplain to him.
You don't even use CDs anymore.
(42:02):
But he knows that right, yeah, cause um, I tell him, yeah, dude
, I tell him, you don't, I tellyou, if you don't have a, you
know, I think it was with DVDs,cause when I was watching, I was
watching Rocky or Rocky 3 orwhatever, they're having a
marathon and he was saying cause, I guess, as a gift, one
(42:25):
Christmas or one of hisbirthdays or something, they
gave him a set, you know Like afive disc set or something, dvd
set Of the Rocky movies.
And I told him yeah, unless youhave a DVD player, I told him
that shit's worthless.
Yeah, I told him, you can'twatch them.
I told him, and, besides, Itold him Now All you have to do
(42:47):
Is just Find the stream of it orsomewhere and download it.
Lano (42:51):
And you, don't, you don't
even need.
Mig (42:53):
Yeah, you know it's like,
and it's like that with
everything.
It's like that with music.
You know it's like that withthe, with the movies.
Lano (43:00):
You know it's with
everything and I went from DVDs.
I never Got involved in thewhole Blu-ray, which was like a
whole Generation in between ohyeah, I stopped at that.
Cause I was like I'm not gonnabuy my collection All over again
or whatever To see this.
Mig (43:18):
Once I saw everything was
being um online and you can like
start downloading shit.
That's when I stopped.
I'm like that's it and thenlike I'm not buying no more of
this high def or any of thisother crap anymore because it's
all going to be obsolete and itwent from like, like boxes of or
(43:44):
like containers of, like tapesor like.
I still have them.
Lano (43:49):
Let's say cassette tapes.
Mig (43:51):
I still have mine.
Lano (43:51):
And then to CDs where,
like Some people would put them
in albums or, little like youknow, trays or whatever.
Mig (43:59):
I still have my Case logic,
my my huge suitcase of case
logic for the cassettes caselogic yeah and then, uh, the
folders for the cds and then Iwent to then I went to an uh
ipod or ipod or mp3 or you hadto buy like the biggest storage?
Lano (44:15):
yeah, they had, because if
you filled up, you're like you
couldn't download any more musicthat was actually my favorite.
And then now you don't evenneed Like storage no more, cause
it's all like In the cloud.
You just like.
Mig (44:24):
Yeah.
Lano (44:25):
Download it and stream it.
Mig (44:29):
That was actually my
favorite Cause you could.
You could get your CDs, loadthem up to your computer and
then load those Onto your iPod.
You don't have to go likelooking from like for an MP3
somewhere else Right right.
Lano (44:49):
And risk freaking,
corrupting your, your files or
whatever, and messing up yourcatching a virus or something I
went to building my like movielibrary and music library, like
in the cloud, like if it's areally good movie, like like,
(45:10):
let's say, like top gun 2 or andlike end game, like something I
really like, then I'll buy themovie, just to like to give the
studio money because, like youknow, like I enjoy this movie,
like I'm gonna give you guyswhatever my 20 bucks or whatever
for this movie.
But now, like like my wife wasjust like, don't even buy it
because, like you're gonna finda streaming service that already
like has it.
You're already paying themonthly fee, like someone's
(45:31):
always gonna like have itplaying where you don't even
need to like purchase the movieanymore.
So it's just.
But it's to the point where, like, how many streaming
services do you have like otherstuff you you watch, or or
whatever, but you, you stay, youstill watch cable tv, or no?
Mig (45:49):
I still have it.
The only reason I have it isfor my parents to give them the
spanish channel feeds that theywatch right because I don't know
, is there like a Like a NetflixEspañol or Spanish, like
streaming service or no?
Um, I don't know, but but rightnow, like DirecTV has, like the
Spanish channels that they likewatching, like there's some
(46:10):
Like directly from Mexico thatthey like watching, and clear
and clear.
Lano (46:14):
Yeah yeah, uhf.
Like it was always Fuzzy orblurry.
Mig (46:18):
We're getting clear
pictures and that's the only
reason why I keep it around.
Otherwise I would have gottenrid of that shit a long time ago
and I would have just streamedwhatever I wanted to stream.
So I bet it's one of yourbiggest like DirecTV is one of
your biggest bills.
Lano (46:31):
I bet, oh yeah, directv is
kind of expensive.
I think, yeah, like $220.
I think yeah, like Two Twenty amonth, that's all it says.
Mig (46:38):
It's gonna be like Around
200 bucks and that I only have
one Premium channel 200 bucks amonth.
Lano (46:45):
That's.
That's stars.
What's on?
What are you watching stars?
Mig (46:49):
My dad dude, cause there's
a western channel On there that
he likes, oh, oh.
But it's cool Sometimes theyhave like Good movies on there
and stuff.
Lano (46:58):
So that's the thing,
because we went to um, like
we're in these hotels, right onthese little road trips, and
then you're trying to see somepeople offer youtube or like
nowadays on youtube you can finda bunch of stuff, and then some
people have like their ownlittle like you know maybe 10,
15 channel like cable network inthe hotel, where you will have
(47:19):
like a premium channels and thenthe basic channels and stuff,
but even like like we try tothrow it on disney channel for
the kids, but even like noteverything on there they like,
they just like certain shows andstuff yeah we're like on demand
, like you could download orwhatever stream the shows they
want to see at your schedule, not the tv guide or their their
(47:39):
routine you ever think aboutshowing them the original?
um little rascals the black andwhite version I have it just
because I don't know where toget it, like access it I wonder
if um you could just um youtubeit maybe I mean, I haven't even
searched YouTube, but we startedwatching because you guys
(48:05):
recommended that John Cusack, was it One Crazy Summer?
Yeah, one Crazy Summer.
So I saw the trailer and thenthe kids were like you know,
they're looking at the trailerbecause you had like Bobcat, was
it Bobcat Go away?
Yeah, at the trailer becauseyou had like yeah, like um,
bobcat was a bobcat go away?
Like yeah, and then um, so likelet's watch this.
Because I go, like my laurawants to see like an 80s movie
(48:27):
and there's nothing like 80smovie.
That was like a wholegeneration of like.
I don't know if it's likehollywood, like like at its best
, but like all of the popcornmovies that came out during the
80s are just like so fun towatch.
But the like we started kind oflate and the kids were into it
like the first like half hourand then they fell asleep.
But um, it's just crazy becauseI was telling my wife like, um,
(48:50):
because she's she's unfamiliarwith these actors, right, so I
was telling her like, um, thatguy bobcat um goldwickak.
I was like that's, that's theway he talks, like in real life.
She's like oh, no, that's acharacter.
I was like no, no, that's theway he is.
Like he was a comedian, that'sthe way he did his stand up and
any movie you see him like that, like that's the way he talks,
(49:12):
and I'm like back then we justthought Like this guy was like
weird.
But now it's probably likeTourette syndrome or something
right oh, you know.
Mig (49:20):
You know what's the only
movie he didn't really like.
Talk like that, that much thatI remember um Scrooged oh, he
was like um he came out of,scrooged she was like one of the
office workers, like one of theyeah, yeah, one of the guys in
there and he didn didn't reallylike talk like that much like
all like yeah, like PeaceAcademy yeah.
(49:41):
There was a movie, too, that Iwas thinking of, dude, that I
wanted to tell you about forLaura, oh, I thought about it
earlier.
Lano (49:51):
Oh, just tell her, because
she wants to see all those
movies, damn dude, I can't thinkabout it now.
But the kids, like we're alllike not mesmerized, but like
you're saying it was talking, like they're like looking at it,
like they're following thestory.
And and my oldest, she's at theage where, like she, she knows,
like, follows the story andknows what's going on.
We're just watching it for, like you know, the, the pictures
(50:13):
and all that stuff.
But, um, we started, we got,we'll probably finish it this
weekend, but they're liking it.
And then I was looking, I toldher we're going to either see
this one Young Guns or theMichael Keaton movies.
You guys had said, we had saidMr Mom Gung Ho, and then I think
(50:34):
Multiplicity, multiplicity,multiplicity.
So she's like well, let's startwith the John Cusack.
And then she was asking she'slike did michael keaton die?
And I was like no, why did yousay that?
And she's like well, why areyou showing all these michael
keaton movies?
Mig (50:45):
well, that's just what
we're talking about this is what
we're talking about.
Lano (50:49):
Last week and these are
all the shows that like I can
remember these movies that cameout, but uh, no, this is fun
watching.
Going back, like I, I told youthey really liked the casino men
, so we're just seeing moremovies.
And then that one crazy summer,I remember seeing that movie.
I just forgot about it.
And there's so many movies thatyou forget about.
That's why we have to makethese lists and stuff.
Mig (51:12):
How about seeing Demi Moore
dude as young as she is?
Lano (51:17):
Yeah, I was like, that's
Demi Moore.
Because, last time we saw DemiMoore was in Landman.
Yeah, and I didn't know thatwas her until a few episodes in.
I was like that's the girl fromLandman and did you know the
daughter?
She's from Varsity Blues.
No, no, no.
(51:40):
That's the mom, the daughter ofthem of them.
Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, she was thewife in um, 19 or 18, no, 1926
or what was it.
Yeah, 1933, yeah, in 1926 shewas one of the, the wives that
um lost the babies.
They lost the baby and they hadlike the tetanus shot or rabies
or something like that.
Mig (51:59):
Yeah.
Lano (52:01):
Two different characters
when, like I didn't realize, it
was the same person.
But this past weekend we bingewatched the Bear.
Mig (52:12):
Yeah, I gotta get out of
here.
Lano (52:13):
I don't want to say
nothing until you see it.
We probably won't even talkabout it on the show until like
a few months to.
Everybody sees it and then, um,that's kind of it right now.
We're watching nothing elselike on tv during during the
summer.
It's kind of like the slow timeof shows and networks.
(52:35):
Nothing I've been catching upon on movies and stuff that I've
been behind.
Mig (52:39):
I haven't really started
watching anything new or watched
any movies or anything no,we've just been just catching up
and sleep.
Lano (52:48):
The kids go to sleep and
normally we'll try to watch a
movie or show, but like we'rejust like we've been just like
exhausted.
The kids are at our age wherethey're just like tiring us out
like left and right they're,they're big.
Actually, ellie wanted to stopby.
She's like I want to see umtheo rick and theo mickey, but
um, she's in the house right now.
(53:09):
Um mig's working on a big um Idon't know it's a big, but like
we're gonna do our first umremote interview remote off-site
interview and so we're gonnabring that to you pretty soon
yeah, maybe in the next coupleweeks we're gonna schedule and
make using a um, do a pre-runwith it and um we're gonna.
(53:32):
There's a little league group,northeast.
Mig (53:34):
Literally they want to
promote yeah, it's a little
cross-promotion they're going topromote us on their Little
League website or on their teamwebsite.
They're called the Barons LittleLeague Baseball Team and I
believe they're on the NortheastBaseball League league.
(54:06):
So, um, I'll be bringing on acoach and a parent of one of the
kids that plays on the team totalk about what they're about
and if you have kids in the area, or just a kid that you want to
play baseball.
And I believe they're alsogoing to start up A female
Softball league.
Lano (54:25):
Or a team.
Well, I don't know yet, butthis is COVID or just boys?
I mean, I don't know the rulesof Little.
Mig (54:31):
League.
You know what?
I'm not sure, but I think it'sall boys right now.
Lano (54:34):
Okay.
Mig (54:35):
Yeah, I believe it's all
boys, but it might be COVID.
I don't know, I'm not sure.
I'm not sure.
I'm not sure what the leaguesays.
Lano (54:45):
It's something.
Mig (54:46):
I'll ask them.
Lano (54:48):
And something I mean it's
in my future with having two
little girls.
I know they're going to likesome type of sports I'm hoping
they do, but just how to supportthem and then, like, you have
to like draw that line likewhat's going to like going too
far in terms of, like you know, your kid has either skill or
(55:10):
talent, and is this a hobby?
Or do you spend that extramoney to make it like, not like
a career, but make it like givethem like a bigger opportunity,
like it could be an opportunityfor school, like a scholarship
or this and that and how muchyou you spend or how much and
the dedication
Mig (55:30):
it's a lot of work being a
parent for these little yeah,
but first of all you got to makesure that they enjoy it.
Yeah, you can't force them.
You know it's like, because youcan't force them to live the
way your life you wish you livedyour life.
Lano (55:48):
Right right right.
Mig (55:50):
It's like the days of that
type of parenting Is gone.
You know, it's like the kids.
The kids will flourish a lotmore Just having fun If they
enjoy what they're doing.
Yeah, you know, but on thatsame token, they have to learn
failures, because with failuresyou learn to correct it and you
(56:17):
get better from it to correct itand you get better.
From it and from failures youlearn victories or you achieve
victories.
It's the only way.
Lano (56:29):
So no participation,
trophy crap, I hope you know so
and and in my mind, like anysport Is like fitness, you know,
like a workout, like I mean, Iwant my girls to be healthy.
You know, I don't want them tobe.
Mig (56:47):
I want them to learn.
I mean, I'm sure they'repracticing all the time.
Lano (56:50):
Yeah, practice exercise
and having fun, just so they can
be, like you know, in shape, befit, be healthy.
You want healthy kids.
Mig (57:00):
So we'll have that
interview coming to you guys
pretty soon, probably in thenext few weeks.
Lano (57:05):
We're going to try to work
on it this weekend.
Yeah, we're going to try tofigure out the ins and the outs
Either they come to the studioor we go to them and do a little
montage.
Mig (57:13):
I think more than likely.
We'll probably be recording onlocation at one of their
practices, but we'll see howthat goes.
Lano (57:23):
But it's a big step for us
because we haven't done this
before.
It'll be fun to do.
Mig (57:29):
Hopefully you guys will
enjoy that and get some good,
useful information out of it.
Lano (57:33):
And if we figure out how
to use these cameras on offsite,
then, like we'll do more foodreviews offsite.
That's the stuff I want to doMore community stuff, more going
out to see what's happening outthere.
Mig (57:53):
So, with that being said,
hope you all enjoyed the show.
Lano (57:58):
And hopefully we'll have
Three of us next week.
We're gonna try to keep thisweek going.
We are Get that work done, rick, damn it.
Finish it.
Get it done.

Get that sink in.
