Ever felt like you're sinking in quicksand, struggling for breath as life's demands pile on? You're not alone in that suffocating space between overwhelm and surrender.

The journey through life's crushing moments—those days, weeks, or months that drain your very essence—requires more than just endurance. When injustice strikes, when people push your buttons, when systems larger than yourself seem determined to break you, a critical choice emerges: Will you continue dwelling in pain, or will you turn toward healing?

This episode explores the sacred practice of stillness and contemplation as pathways to peace. Rather than emptying your mind (only to have it filled with something else), what if you intentionally filled it with thoughts of peace? The transformative power of redirecting your focus from life's catalysts of pain toward divine attributes creates a sanctuary within yourself, accessible even during your darkest moments.

We dive deep into understanding Jesus as "the way, the truth, and the life" beyond theological abstractions—exploring what it means practically for navigating life's quicksand. Through personal testimony of finding supernatural peace during a devastating divorce, this message demonstrates how divine love provides tangible comfort and stability when everything else falters.

When anger threatens to consume you, when exhaustion overwhelms you, remember that curiosity about God's nature can itself become a healing force, diminishing depression and pain without you even realizing the transformation underway. Your journey toward wholeness begins with a single choice to be still, to contemplate something greater than your circumstances, and to allow uncorrupted love to embrace you exactly as you are.

Join us on this journey where love and healing flow into your soul. Subscribe to Truth Drips for weekly inspiration on finding peace beyond understanding, even when life feels impossible.

Dina LaFargue Augusti (00:01):
Greetings and welcome to another episode
of the Drip Line, where love andhealing will flow into your
soul.
Tune in and take a listen, comealong this journey, allowing
love and truth to permeate yourentire being.
Hopefully, the message sharedtoday will touch your heart,

(00:24):
bringing you closer to yourhealing, empowering you for your
daily life and helping you movethrough this process
successfully.
There are often days, weeks, months that just seem to suck
the life out of you.

(00:46):
They're very draining and youfeel like you are in quicksand,
slowly being overcome by a heavyweight that will soon take you
under where you can no longerbreathe.
You can't take in a breath andyou cannot exhale.
The circumstances and themoments, the tension and the

(01:21):
pressures can be suffocating.
So what do you do?
Sometimes we feed on it,sometimes we dwell on the thing
that was the worst, the momentthat was the worst, whatever set
us off.
Sometimes there are injusticesor people that just know how to

(01:41):
press the button, that pullband-aids of sores that scrape
scabs off and that twist yourarm to get you to comply to
whatever pain they want you tosubmit to, and it can all be
overwhelming, obviouslyoverwhelming and painful.

(02:05):
Again, turn away.
I sat here contemplating my day.
It was horrific.
It was a day of all days, but aday in a tough week and a crazy

(02:25):
week in a roller coaster month, and I had to sit still and ask
the Holy Spirit to take me in.
You see, we have choices todwell in what pained us, dwell

(02:46):
in what exhausted us, thinkabout the words that were said
over and over again that willenrage us or remind us of what
irritated us and it doesn'tserve any purpose.
Irritated us and it doesn'tserve any purpose.

(03:08):
Sometimes, when we do that, wethink of what we should have
said, what we could have said,to respond back to the situation
.
That catalyst, and sometimes wecan't respond because we're
dealing with the legal system ora system that is more powerful
than us, that is bigger than us.

(03:31):
But I urge any of you that areangry right now and just utterly
exhausted to take some momentsand rest.
We hear about meditation andpeople emptying their minds, but
when you empty your mind, it'sgoing to be filled with
something.
Meditate on the word.
Meditate on something specificthat is calming, something

(03:57):
specific that will quiet yourspirit, something specific that
will take your mind from thecatalyst, from that needle that
keeps pricking you or that knifethat keeps stabbing you.
Go in to another realm withinyourself.

(04:19):
I'm not talking about dosomething spacey and extra
spiritual.
No, I'm not.
I'm talking about do somethingspacey and extra spiritual.
No, I'm not.
I'm talking about quieting yourmind and training yourself to
think about peace.
What gives you peace?
My peace comes from thinking onthe Lord, because I know, in my

(04:51):
darkest moments and theheaviest moments, when multiple
things are coming at me at once,I'm going to say Holy Spirit,
hide me, hide me in your wings, take me in and comfort me.
He is our comforter and ourteacher.
He will teach you how to calmyourself and he will comfort you
in your most emotional moments,in your most dreadful moments.

(05:11):
And it takes faith.
It takes believing that God isreal.
It takes believing that Godcares.
It takes believing that Godloves you.
It takes believing that God isfaithful.
It takes believing that God isever-present, all-knowing, right

(05:31):
where you are all the time, waiting for you to rest in his
arms.
Remember the scripture.
If you don't know it, it's inMatthew 11: 28.
It says come to me, all you wholabor and are heavy burdened,
and he will give you rest.
Allow the Lord to give you rest, allow his peace that is beyond

(05:58):
all understanding to overcomeyou.
But it takes stilling yourself,it takes shutting down the
distractions, excuse me,shutting down the voices that
hurt you, shutting down thethoughts about how you've been
hurt, disappointed, betrayed, abused, used, misused, even

(06:30):
confused, because Lord God willclarify, because he's not a God
of confusion and he doesn't wantus to be confused.
So if we take the time to stillourselves, we'll close our eyes
and think about the characterof God, the words of the Lord,

(06:52):
his promises, his gentleness, which is real, His calming
nature, which is real, his love, which is honest and pure and
can only be love, without anycorruption in it.
There's no corruption in God'slove.

(07:13):
There's no corruption in hisfaithfulness.
There's no corruption in hiscomfort and in his ability to
supply exactly what we need whenwe need it.
He is our healer in emotion, inmind, in spirit and in our souls

(07:40):
and in our bodies.
He is our doctor.
He is a specialist ineverything.
There is no lack in the Lord.
So, whatever you need right now, ask him.
He says make the demand, because he is here for us.

(08:03):
Make the demand, you who are inneed, call on him and he will
answer.
He will provide because he isthe provider.
He will wrap you in his armsand he will sit with you and he
will listen to you.

(08:23):
He will cry with you, he willembrace you, he will hug you, he
will wrap his arms around youand allow you to just be.
His presence is soothing, calming and full of tranquility.

(08:52):
And in being still you willfeel the cares, the pains, the
angst of the day of the week runaway down the drain.
The peace that is beyond allunderstanding will indeed find

(09:12):
you when you take the time to bestill, when you take the time
to contemplate exactly who isthis God, who are you, lord God,
and remind yourself of who hesays he is, and contemplate all
of his traits, all of hischaracter and all the facets of

(09:35):
his beingness, the essence, thevery essence of his beingness.
He is the great I am.
He says I am whatever you needme to be, and he says I am there
for you.
I am here for you, I am righthere for you.

(09:58):
I will hold your hand, I willwalk you through, I will show
you the way.
I will climb the mountain withyou, I will walk through the
valleys with you.
All that is His is yours, allof him is yours.

(10:20):
Believe it, receive it,meditate on it, contemplate it,
because it is true.
In John 14, verse 6, the Lordsays I am the way, the truth and

(10:51):
the life, and no one can cometo the Father but through me.
When I think of that scripture,it's layered, as most scripture
is.
But if you want to have apeace-filled, ultimate afterlife
, you must accept Jesus Christas Lord and Savior.

(11:14):
He says I am the truth and thelife, a life with the Father.
But I'm going to break it downa little more.
When I think of him saying I amthe way, yes, he is the way to
eternal life with the Father, and at the same time, to me it
means I am the way to live.
Jesus is the way to live.
So we have to think about whothis man is, who this prophet is

(11:40):
, who this man God is.
And for those of you that arenot Christian but are learning,
or even Christians that arelearning because we're always
learning, umm, say the way tolive.
Who is Christ?
Understand his philosophy oflife, if you want to coin that

(12:07):
term.
Remember he is the embodimentof the Father, god, he is the
embodiment of God and God sayshe is love.
So how do you want to live yourlife?
Think about how you want tofashion your life.
Think about the construct ofyour life.
Think about the pattern of yourlife.

(12:29):
I s it prosperous for you?
Is it profitable to you?
Is it healthy?
Is it filled with joy?
Is it filled with peace?
Is it filled with conflict?
Is it filled with violence?
Now, we can live in Christ andstill experience violence and
conflicts, et cetera.
But I'm talking about when ourown character, when our mindset

(12:49):
is bent on violence, anger, conflict, manipulation, getting
ahead at the expense of someoneelse, not knowing who we are and
, as a result, being lost andtrampled upon and being abused
because we don't understand whowe are, because our identity has
been hijacked and corrupted.

(13:12):
He says he is the way to live, his is the right way, his is the
pathway to health and wealth,in mind, body, soul and spirit.
I want to live his way, I wantto live in his word.
His word again we get to thenext step, or the next word in

(13:34):
the verse is truth.
He is truth, he is truth.
So when we read his word, wehave to know that his word is
truth.
There's a history of God, andthere's truth in that history,
the truth of who God says he is.
We can't tell somebody they'resomething that they're not.

(13:57):
We can't tell God what he is orhow he is.
If he's telling us point blankwho he is and what he is and how
he is, what authority do wehave to change what he says he
is?
I would argue with you none.
And if he's telling us who heis and how he is and what he is,

(14:20):
he also says that he will provehimself.
So, we must prove him.
How do we prove him?
Put him to the test.
In order to do that, we have tohave some form of communication
, some form of contract, if youwant to use that word.
I'm saying that, okay, I haveexpectations.

(14:41):
If you say that you are this, show me who you are, help me
understand who you are.
And there are a few things thathe has given us, and that is
the universe itself.
Who's holding it up, but God?
Who's laid it outmathematically and
scientifically?
But God.
There's no chaos in it.

(15:04):
Even a flame has a pattern.
Lightning has a pattern.
Our bodies have patterns.
Everything has a specificdesign, as do we, and so there's
a flow and there's life, and itstarts from one point and goes

(15:28):
to another.
There's a continuum.
So how do you want to live thatcontinuum?
Despite the conflicts and thetraumas and the things that come
our way, how do you want tolive it?
I want to know the truth aboutmy existence.
I want to know the truth asmuch as possible in this human

(15:49):
form.
I want to know.
And I will go to him to find it.
I've explored a lot and I'vefound nothing else as complete
as the word and nothing moreverifiable as his word, nothing
more provable as him, because heperforms his word and he proves

(16:12):
his word to us when we wantknow.
If we want to know truth, wewill recognize it.
He says I am the way, I am thetruth and the life.
So we have a choice when Whenwe're in those valleys or

(16:33):
climbing the mountains that areso hard to .
We we need to be in In either.
In in any terrain, we need tobe equipped, and the best
equipment is knowing the Lord,is knowing His Word, allowing
Him in, considering Him.
I can't force anybody tobelieve.

(16:53):
That's not what I'm trying todo?
I guess I'm trying to share myexperience and my experiences
and my relationship with .
so So you might contemplate thatIf you don't have that, because
it is very possible.
\When rejects no one and he isready to receive everyone and to
help everyone.

(17:14):
And I've found the purest, themost steadfast, provable,
testable help is God.
He proves himself.
He is tested over and over andover again.

(17:34):
There is no other faith systemthat has a God that is still
alive, that is alive andpersonal, and that it says he is
pure love, unending love.
In Romans, chapter 8, it saysnothing Nothing, nothing can

(17:57):
separate his love from -.
no No height, no depth, no angel, no demon, nothing, nothing,
nothing, .
, Whatever whatever you couldimagine that's been made in the
past, exists in the past, present or to be in the future
can separate his love from anyof us, wherever we find
ourselves.
So in your rough moments, seekhim.
In your rough moments, considerhim.

(18:18):
In your rough moments, getcurious.
Get curious.
So if you don't know and you'vegot nothing else that's , you,
you take the chance and read andlearn and contemplate.
Get curious and even yourcuriosity will kill the .

(18:39):
, Your your curiosity will killthe .
Your your curiosity will killthe depression, because you'll
be enveloping yourself andinvolving yourself in healing
and you don't even know it.
Because that's how God works.
He is life.
He says he is life.

(19:01):
Anger and pain and depressionand trauma can lead to death of
our spirit, our soul, ourcharacter can destroy our
character, can destroy our joy,it can destroy our peace.
It can even destroy ourphysical health.
We will start seeing andexperiencing symptoms that we
have never experienced before inour bodies, because there are

(19:23):
unresolved issues and pains thathave been held inside, that are
broiling and boiling inside -coals of fire burning to our own
destruction.
So I'm saying contemplate hisword and rest in his word.

(19:50):
Allow his arms to embrace you,a llow his truth to fill you,
allow his peace to be yours.
Call him, call him, call on hispeace.
Call on his truth, Call on hisword.
He is alive.
Every part of him is alive.
There is nothing of him that isdead.
There is nothing of him that isslack or asleep.

(20:13):
All of him is alive.
So, whatever of him you need, whatever of him you're curious
about, it exists and it is alive.
It is real, it is energetic, itis dynamic.
He is dynamic; the The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, all

(20:35):
one God - a multifaceted, superior, supreme, loving God
that is waiting for you to bringyou, to bring him all of your

(20:56):
troubles, all of your pains, sothat he can assuage them, so he
can deliver you from the handof the enemy, whose mouth is
full of lies and whose righthand is full of -, from the

(21:16):
ones who abuse and use andmisuse and try to destroy.
Find yourself in .
, Run run to him.
, Dwell dwell in him and make it.
And that's why, at the end ofeach message, I say be blessed,

(21:40):
be at peace and be in love, because I want you to be blessed
by who this God is, by all hispromises.
I want you to be at peace inhim because his peace is the
peace beyond all understandingand it's not a worldly peace
which is fake and fleeting It'sbeyond all understanding, it is

(22:02):
lasting, it is real, it isbetter than any drug.
I used to say can this really betrue?
When I was a young, young womangoing through a horrific
divorce, I thought I was goingto lose my mind.
I was hiding myself behind myhair, my finances were wrecked,

(22:25):
everything was upside down and Itruly believed in love and that
this marriage was going to lastforever and I put God to work
basically.
I slept on the Bible and said,"God, you have to prove that
peace to me, because I think I'mgoing to die of a broken heart"

(22:46):
I think I was literallywasting away amongst all the
other challenges of becoming afinancial broker and having to
study the Series 7 and living oncommissions when I had no
income and going through thatdivorce and finishing grad

(23:08):
school all at the same time andhaving people come at me from
all angles without goodintentions and I said, "God,
hide me! Carry me, because evena moment seems so painful!
But he did it it.
t!!!!! obviously, because here Iam today and I always land on
my feet because of him, always, always, always, because true, H

(23:32):
H e faithful and true, he is theway, he is he is the truth and
he ishe t life everlasting.
He is life everlasting.
He is the quality of life, heis the prosperity of life, he is
the health and wealth of life,he is the peace of life, and his
way is the one true way to findall of that and then some.

(23:56):
Because he is God.
I can't even explain all, allof him that we receive, because
there's so much more to him thatwe could know in these dwell
ind nd .
.
A .
nd this flesh that we dwell in,and that's why he is God and we
are not.
So he is the way to go, he isthe truth of it all and he is

(24:23):
the life that we should beliving.
Amen, amen, but I'm not quitedone yet.
Amen and amen, yes, so be it.
But remember, the last thingthat I usually say is be in love
.
Falling in love is an amazingthing.

(24:45):
Falling in love is somethingthat is indescribable.
That is indescribable Emotionsthat just warm you all over,
that make you feel alive, andI'm not going to ramble on about
the feelings of love, butobviously I think you can hear
that I love being in love, butthe best love ever is being in

(25:13):
love with your maker, yourcreator, jesus.
Fall in love with Jesus, get toknow Jesus, get to know the one
, the one that loved you so muchthat he died for you.
What better love could you havethan someone who would be
willing to die just for you?
If there was no one else to diefor but just you, you and him,

(25:39):
you and your lord, you and yourmaker?
Could there be any better love, any more profound love than
loving the one who formed you,who shaped you, who knew you
before you were in your mother'swomb, who watches over you
every day, who walks with youevery day, who provides for you

(25:59):
every day, who is there tocomfort you every day, who is
there to listen to you every day, who is there admiring you
every day, being watchful andprotective for you every day,
being watchful and protectivefor you every day, willing to
guide you and give you adviceevery day and to hold you when

(26:23):
you've fallen every day.
There's no better friend, because this friend does not
betray.
Is there a better love?
No, a true and loyal friend, afather, a creator, a maker, one
who endows, one who blesses, onewho gives, one who comforts,

(26:45):
one who teaches, one who leadsand guides, one who shields and
protects and hides and guides, one who shields and protects and
hides, one who helps you growno better love.
So fall in love, yes, fall inlove with the one who's fallen
in love with you because he has.
He loves every one of us insideout and he falls in love with

(27:08):
us every day inside out.
And he falls in love with usevery day Because to him, every
day is a new day.
Every day is a new day for us,in him and with him.
So we have an opportunity tofall in love with the perfect
love every day and to dwell onthat love and to relish that

(27:33):
love, just to abide in that loveevery day.
So be in love Until next time.
Truth drips.
