A drinking podcast with a wrestling problem.
In 2007 a shady promoter using a fake name decided to book a wrestling convention at the Cow Palace and it turned into a total disaster. This week on Drunk Wrestling History we are talking about how things went wrong, who got paid and who didn't, a fight in a hotel lobby, and our own experience at the show. Your'e probably gonna need a drink when you hear about this nightmare so let's start our weekends right here. Cheers!
How do you fight a Drunk, angry giant who doesn't want to work with you? That's what we are talking about this week on Drunk Wrestling History. Back in 1986 on one of Andre The Giant's trips to Japan he had a match with Akira Maeda who was a legit shooter and a known trouble maker. Andre had a bit to drink and decided he didn't want to work with Maeda and a 25 minute disaster ensued. So get some sake and Sapporo and check it ou...
This week on Drunk Wrestling History we are going back to 1987 for the first annual Survivor Series. This show was intended to hurt the buy rate of Jim Crockett's first ever PPV, Starrcade 1987 and it did a great job. It featured all of the classic 80s superstars and despite some very strange booking was a really fun show. So have a drunk with us and check it out. Cheers!

The Monday Night War was known a lot of craziness and some the craziest parts of it was the inflated contracts. The competition between WCW and WWE was so strong that wrestlers were getting paid more than they ever could before and this week on Drunk Wrestling History we are reviewing Hulk Hogan's 1998 contract. There's lots of crazy stuff in it some hilarious stuff too. Have a drink with us and check it out. Cheers!
Vince McMahon has some weird issue with tag teams where he thinks he needs to break them up or bury them no matter how good they are. It doesn't make any sense based on his background in wrestling, how his dad ran the territory and Wrestling History in general and this week we are wondering what his deal is. There's also more body function talk in the beginning of the episode so if you don't want to hear that skip the first 16 mi...
Being our usual disorganized selves, we forgot all about WCW PPV episodes for 10 months but this week Drunk Wrestling History is getting its shit together and reviewing Starrcade 1987. This show happened at a crucial time for Jim Crockett Promotions and they needed a major success and this show did not deliver at all. It suffered from sabotage by the WWF, bad booking, and doing it in the wrong city. Despite all that it had some ...

But no one knows what his career would have looked like if he hadn't died and this week on Drunk Wrestling History we are fantasy booking how things would have turned out. This week on Drunk Wrestling History we are paying tribute to another wrestler who died way too young, Lanny Poffo. Lanny worked in territories all over the country and eventually ended up in WWF with one of the greatest gimmicks of all time. He had some memorable storylines including a feud with Hulk Hogan so we thought it was fitting to give him an episode Check it out to hear all about him and to find out when no one is drink...
This week on Drunk Wrestling History we are dipping our toes in Wrestlemania X7 with a watch along. The Gimmick Battle Royal was a bit of a blemish on the Wrestlemania card but it was a lot of fun to see some of the stars from the past again. It also marked the return of two of the all time greats, Bobby Heenan and Mean Gene. We are calling all the action on this episode and it was mostly entrances. We also have a question at ...
