Eigentlich kommt er aus Norddeutschland, aber 2013 ist er mit nur 1000 Dollar im Gepäck in Los Angeles angekommen, um seinen Traum zu verwirklichen: LAFD Firefighter werden. Wenn man Hollywood hört, denkt man oft an glamouröse Filmpremieren und legendäre Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber für Birger Weissmann sieht der Alltag anders aus: Brände, Autounfälle, Suizidversuche, Fentanyl Überdosierungen. Birger und sein Team haben ein dutzend Einsätze am Tag. Der 33jährige erzählt uns von seinen Erlebnissen als Feuerwehrmann, und teilt auch die eine oder andere VIP Story - schließlich sind wir in Hollywood, und auch die Katze eines Promis muss mal vom Dach gerettet werden, oder ähnliches ;-)
